Rose Park
Perfect You are my God
Righteous and Holy
In all of Your ways
Revealing Your glory
In all that You do
All men will worship You
I will worship You

For You are the only Lord and King
I will worship You
I will praise Your name

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
…Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
…Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
…Born of the Virgin Mary,
…Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
…Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
…And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Majestic Sweetness Sits Enthroned
Samuel Stennett
Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
Upon the Savior’s brow;
His head with radiant glories crowned,
His lips with grace o’erflow,
His lips with grace o’erflow.
No mortal can with Him compare,
Among the sons of men;
Fairer is He than all the fair
Who fill the heav’nly train,
Who fill the heav’nly train.
He saw me plunged in deep distress,
And flew to my relief;
For me He bore the shameful cross,
And carried all my grief,
And carried all my grief.
To Him I owe my life and breath,
And all the joys I have;
He makes me triumph over death,
And saves me from the grave,
And saves me from the grave.

Ephesians 4
Leader: As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
People: Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Leader: Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
People: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Leader: one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
People: one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Take the Name of Jesus with You
Lydia Baxter
Take the name of Jesus with you,
Child of sorrow and of woe;
It will joy and comfort give you;
Take it then where’er you go.
Precious name, oh how sweet!
Hope of Earth and joy of Heav’n.
Precious name, oh how sweet!
Hope of Earth and joy of Heav’n.
Take the name of Jesus ever,
As a shield from ev’ry snare;
If temptations round you gather,
Breathe that holy name in prayer. Refrain
Oh! the precious name of Jesus,
How it thrills our souls with joy,
When his loving arms receive us,
And his songs our tongues employ. Refrain
At the name of Jesus bowing,
Falling prostrate at his feet,
King of kings in Heav’n we’ll crown him,
When our journey is complete. Refrain
Scripture Reading
1 Samuel 3:1-19
Carmetta Williams
The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.
2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place. 3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was. 4 Then the Lord called Samuel.
Samuel answered, “Here I am.” 5 And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
But Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down.
6 Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
“My son,” Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.”
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.
8 A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
11 And the Lord said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle. 12 At that time I will carry out against Eli everything I spoke against his family—from beginning to end. 13 For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God, and he failed to restrain them. 14 Therefore I swore to the house of Eli, ‘The guilt of Eli’s house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.’”
15 Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the Lord. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision, 16 but Eli called him and said, “Samuel, my son.”
Samuel answered, “Here I am.”
17 “What was it he said to you?” Eli asked. “Do not hide it from me. May God deal with you, be it ever so severely, if you hide from me anything he told you.” 18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”
19 The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
Message
Loneliness is the Time Schedule To Change Yourself
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su
▣ Introduction: The blessing of the saved
The God who protects you and the covenant do not change. When difficulties become so severe that you cannot see the Word and cannot even pray, what should you do?
1. The Holy Spirit knows our weaknesses and intercedes for us with groaning. He makes all things work together for good (Romans 8:26, 28).
…1) Parents’ hardships – discovering prayer topics
…2) Church difficulties – discovering life direction
…3) Difficulties in the world – discovering your mission
2. If you are able to pray, 300% will come forth.
3. If you wait, you will see what belongs to God.
※ Witness (one who knows the gospel) – one who has seen, one who knows, one who possesses.
1. Heavenly mandate – make prayer 300%, work 300%, evangelism and missions 300%.
2. Calling – I and my household are the mission home, RUTC, and the regional church.
3. Mission – there is a hidden secret that no one knows that saves the age.
▣ Main: The answers you will receive
1. My suffering – a time to see the problems of this age and God’s plan
…1) Israel’s suffering during the era of the fourteen judges – Hannah realized that a Nazarite with faith and strength was needed to stop this.
…2) Hannah sent her God-given son, Samuel, to the temple according to her vow
…3) “Eli lay down in his place, and the boy Samuel lay down near the ark of the covenant”
2. My loneliness – a time to hear God’s voice regarding real-life problems
…1) The problem of the church and our home now – there is no one lying beside the ark of the covenant.
…2) Consequence – The Word was completely cut off, their eyes grew dim, and visions could not be seen
…3) Loneliness – It is the time to lie beside the ark of the covenant and hear God’s voice. When the Word of God that will be fulfilled comes, no one can stop it
…4) Samuel who became a spiritual summit – “Not one of his words fell to the ground.”
3. Incidents – God opened the eyes to see the future, and it changes into 300% where you realize the hidden secret no one knows
…1) The invasion of the Philistines – Eli’s two sons died in battle, and Eli also died. The ark of the covenant, which Samuel had been guarding, was taken.
…2) Samuel, who had lain beside the ark and whose words did not fall to the ground, must have prayed.
…3) Wherever the ark of the covenant went, disasters began to fall. So they sent the ark back.
▣ Conclusion: The answers Samuel received
1. The suffering experienced by the seven Remnants and people of faith
…1) Joseph – he realized that the dream he had was the covenantal dream the Lord desired for that age.
…2) Moses – he realized that his suffering was the suffering of Israel.
…3) David – he knew that the humiliation caused by Goliath was related to the future of the nation and the people and to the glory of the Lord, so he went out in the name of the Lord.
…4) Spafford – though he lost his family, he discovered God’s grace within it and changed the world.
…5) Pastor Joo Ki-chul – he realized it was connected to the church and truth, and to the destruction of Japan and Korea, so he held onto the covenant.
2. The loneliness you experience – an important timetable of God
…1) A time to find the self that God created
…2) A time to focus and immerse yourself before God
…3) A time of being filled
…4) A time to realize evangelism and missions – if you do not know evangelism, you cannot escape poverty of spirit and body; if you do not know missions, you cannot block disasters.
3. The time of prayer and worship in your daily life is an incredible time – just holding onto the covenant brings change
…1) Hannah realized that what she thought was her problem and suffering was not actually hers
…2) Samuel’s loneliness – a time to hear God’s voice
…3) Incidents opened the eyes to see the future. “As long as Samuel lived, there was no war. Those who saw Samuel believed in God.”

I Know Not Why God’s Wondrous Grace
D. W. Whittle
I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me is daily shown,
Nor why, with mercy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for his own.
But “I know whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that he is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto him against that day.”
I know not how this saving faith
To me he did impart,
Nor how believing in his word
Wrought peace within my heart. Refrain
I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing us of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in him. Refrain
I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noon-day fair,
Nor if I’ll walk the vale with him,
Or meet him in the air. Refrain
Prayer · Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
…hallowed be thy name;
…thy kingdom come;
…thy will be done;
…on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
…as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
…but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
…the power and the glory,
…forever and ever.
Amen.

We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Don Besig · Nancy Price
Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.
And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!
We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail. Chorus
Benediction
