Romans 16:20. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
Scripture reveals that Satan, “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), has been ruling the world by the law of sin and death (Romans 6:23; Romans 8:2). As a result, everyone has been living as a child of the devil (John 8:44), following the ways of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air (Ephesians 2:2).
The devil has established a dwelling in every human heart (Matthew 12:26–30). Nothing in this world can fix this problem; in fact, things only become worse over time (Matthew 12:43–45). Ultimately, Satan builds strongholds in our minds through “arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God” and takes captive “every thought” to oppose the truth (2 Corinthians 10:5).
As a result, all people fall into the trap of self-centeredness (Genesis 3:4–5), materialism and worldly pleasure (Genesis 6:4–5), and pride and ambition for worldly success (Genesis 11:1–8). Furthermore, Satan has shaped human thinking and culture into the pattern of this world through the influence of shamanism (Acts 13:5–12), divination (Acts 16:16–18), and all forms of idol worship and religion (Acts 19:8–20).
In doing so, the devil has infiltrated and gained influence over politics, society, and the economy (Ephesians 6:12). He seeks to create chaos, fear, and destruction on every level, knowing that his time is short (Revelation 12:12).
The evidence of Satan’s work is everywhere in people’s lives. Having lost the true identity and purpose given by God, people are overwhelmed by the devil’s power. They suffer spiritually (Ephesians 2:1), mentally (Matthew 11:28–30), physically (Acts 8:4–8), and are destined for eternal condemnation (Luke 16:19–31). Even future generations are left to face disasters and curses (Matthew 27:25). No religion, philosophy, or good works can provide a way out of this trap.
But thanks be to God, who delivered us from Satan’s power through Jesus, our True King. Jesus destroyed the devil’s work (1 John 3:8) and broke the power of death (Hebrews 2:14), completing the work of the True King.
You no longer need to fear anything in this world when you realize, believe, and confirm that Jesus is your True King. If you believe that Jesus is your King who now lives in you, there is nothing left to worry about.
If you believe that the work of your King was completed on the cross, where He crushed the head of Satan, you can declare victory in every situation of your life. Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, is with you now and until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
Jesus has given you authority to overcome all the power of the devil, and nothing will harm you (Luke 10:19). You have been equipped with everything necessary to defeat all the strategies of the enemy: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10–17).
Always stay alert. Never let your guard down. Declare these spiritual truths boldly and resist the devil in Jesus’ name. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. God will use your life to rescue others who are living under Satan’s power.
Prayer. Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Christ, my True King, who destroyed the devil’s work in my life. I declare that Satan was defeated when my True King died on the cross and rose again from the dead. I declare that my True King lives in me now and until the end of the age. I declare that I have been given authority to overcome all the powers of the enemy. I declare that I have what it takes to defeat all the strategies of the devil. In Your mighty name, Amen.
