God Knows You

Psalm 139:1-10.

You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.

The greatest obstacle in our lives is unbelief — forgetting who our Father truly is. He is Jehovah, the Creator and Ruler of all things. He knows you completely. He holds your life in His hands and numbers your days. He blesses and disciplines, and no one can flee from His presence. For those He has chosen as His own, this is not a frightening truth but a wonderful one.

This is why renewing our faith daily must be a priority.

Begin with the saving faith given to us through Christ: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). With that faith, run the race set before you. Lay aside whatever slows you down and the sin that causes you to stumble. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus — the author of faith and its perfecter (Hebrews 12:1).

Jesus endured the cross, despising its shame, sustained by the joy awaiting Him — the joy of those appointed for eternal life. Now He sits at the right hand of God’s throne. When you grow weary, think of Him. Think of the opposition He bore without quitting, so that you will not lose heart (Hebrews 12:2–3).

Renew also your faith in God’s power: “His incomparably great power for us who believe, the same mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead” (Ephesians 1:19–20). This is the power that called creation into existence from nothing. It is the power of the Word that re-creates and transforms (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 4:12; Acts 6:7). It is the power that will send you as a witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). Do not be discouraged by your weaknesses. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10).

Never forget that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life. He guides you into truth, brings God’s Word to your remembrance, and teaches you what to say (John 14:26–27; Psalms 139:10). So stop worrying. Begin listening. Pray in all circumstances and in every season (Ephesians 6:18).

Nothing in your life takes place by accident. Every difficulty arrives while God is present and in complete control. Each problem is an opportunity to confirm that Jesus is indeed the answer — the Christ. God is not against you. He loves you and is pleased with you because you are in Christ.

You have been prepared for such a time as this (Isaiah 6:13). You are among the remnant to whom God will restore what was lost (Zephaniah 2:7). By the power of the gospel, you will not merely survive — you will triumph (Romans 8:37).

Cultivate spiritual strength until you can stand alone without intimidation. Grow in spiritual depth until envy loses its grip. Exercise your spiritual authority until compromise is no longer a temptation. Become a person of faith who lives for something larger than yourself. All through prayer.

God has called you to be a good soldier of Christ. Know who you are. Know your enemy’s strategies. Do not get entangled in what belongs to the world; you belong to God’s army now, and He will provide for you. Put on the full armor of God. You will need every piece for what lies ahead.

Above all, stay in close communication with your Commander, Jesus Christ, through prayer. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit as an athlete follows a coach. Press on with the perseverance of a farmer who endures every season to reach the harvest (2 Timothy 2:1–7).

Fight the good fight. Keep your faith alive.

Prayer. Father, thank You for always being with me. Open my eyes to the enemy’s schemes and help me understand the battles before me. Surround me with assurance, gratitude, Your Word, faith, and the peace that comes from the gospel. Strengthen me to stand on Your promises in prayer and to boldly proclaim Christ to all nations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

(Ha 2:1-9)

Thank you. That was world-class praise.

Isaiah 6:1-13

In the beginning, God appeared to Isaiah. God appeared seated on the throne.

Isaiah 60:20-22

This Isaiah said: “The least of you will become a thousand, the weakest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Isaiah 62:6-12

“I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent day or night. Do not give the Lord any rest.” Here, something tremendous about prayer has come up. I talked about prayer in the first service as well, but because people don’t understand it well, they miss it.

[ Throne ]

Your prayers are presented before the throne. Isaiah chapter 6 showed us a vision of it. It shows all the activity of the angels and so on. When you pray, that kind of thing happens.

[ Kingdom ]

And the answer to prayer is that God’s kingdom comes first. It does not start from this side. God’s kingdom comes first.

[ Work ]

Then the work of God’s kingdom is accomplished. This is prayer. So right now in this moment, when you pray and worship, if you hold the exact covenant, God’s kingdom is established. This is tremendously important. I spoke about it in the first service as well, but Joseph was dragged away in a state near death and sold. If at that moment Joseph had become discouraged, bitter, or fallen into great despair, the kingdom of darkness would have come. That too is an answer. But he was convinced that this was the path to fulfilling the dream of world evangelization. At that moment, God’s kingdom comes. The work comes later. So because people do not understand prayer well, they do not know what constitutes an answer, what to do, or what is happening. When Joseph was sold to Potiphar’s house, he had already become convinced that he would show God’s testimony there. That was God’s kingdom coming. It comes at that moment. And after that, many blessings and works followed in that house. So because we do not understand these things well, we end up not knowing what prayer is. When you worship, when you hold the covenant precisely, tremendous things happen. What kind of things happen?

[ Heaven, earth, sea, and the nations will be shaken ]

God said it: “I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.” Six times: “declares the Lord Almighty.”

“Prepare My Future” (Haggai 2:1-9)

My future must be inside this. If I prepare my future inside this, it is certain. It does not matter whether the answer comes or not, or when it comes. My future must be placed inside this. Let me give you a few pieces of evidence.

▣ Introduction

1. Egypt — Joseph, Moses

These things happened in Egypt. The shaking of heaven and earth and sea and the nations happened to Joseph. Simply put, world evangelization happened. And this happened to Moses as well.

2. The wilderness

And it happened in the wilderness. Astonishing things happened in the wilderness that stunned the whole world. God made it happen. He parted the Red Sea, parted the Jordan, brought down Jericho, and made the whole world stand in amazement.

3. The Philistine age

It happened in the Philistine age. It happened through two people, Samuel and David. As you know, when the Philistines went to attack Israel, He sent thunder and blocked them all. And when Goliath came to attack, David took Goliath down in one blow. This was not just an ordinary event. The events that happened in the wilderness were transmitted throughout the whole world. They reached the seven tribes living in the land of Canaan. Their hearts melted in fear. The news spread throughout the whole world. Though it may look like you are suffering, the evidence of it is that it causes the forces of darkness to tremble.

4. Aram — Elijah, Elisha, Obadiah

This event was not ordinary. It happened when the nation of Aram came to oppress Israel. It happened through three people, I tell you. Through Elijah and Elisha, and through the church leader Obadiah who supported them — three people — the shaking of heaven and earth and sea and the nations truly happened. I am giving you evidence right now. It happened in Babylon. I am telling you, this kind of thing already happened in these earlier times.

▣ Main

So then, how and why did the shaking of heaven and earth and sea and the nations happen? We need to grab hold of something very important.

1. Being within the fulfillment of the Word

The first one. Being within the fulfillment of the Word. A few people did this.

[ Building a life ]

Within the fulfillment of the Word, I must first build my life.

[ The bartizan of the throne ]

Within the fulfillment of the Word, the bartizan of the throne stands in my life.

1) Daniel

It was only a few people. Before this happened in Babylon, God had already been working through Daniel. The Word had already been fulfilled. That is how it connects. Build your life within the fulfillment of the Word. Right? Certainly.

I may not know many other things, but I took it as my mission that we must properly do the evangelism movement. So I viewed everything through that lens. Now there are many elders with that kind of prayer background, and I am so grateful. Back then, there were none. The congregation was very small and so on, so there was nothing to be done. But it was not “I will do great things here.” We need to do the evangelism movement God wants. That is why from the very beginning I looked for a large piece of land. Why? Because it had to be done. Many people introduced small pieces of land in various places, but as far as the elders and congregation members doing the work, I had no objections. So we bought one. But in my view, the church leaders had worked hard to buy it, and there was nothing wrong with that, but from my perspective it looked like at most you could build an outhouse, not a church. So in the end, we now have land that can also accommodate lodging and where children can gather to spend the three-day weekend age. We have claimed that land. If you are within the Word being testified and fulfilled, heaven and earth and sea and the nations are bound to be shaken. Right? Not according to my own will, but within the fulfillment of God’s Word. Then we, as you all know, it is not that we are trying to succeed. Being children of God is the success — what more do we need? Build your life within the fulfillment of the Word. Heaven and earth and sea and the nations have no choice but to be shaken.

2) The three young men

Look here. The three young men did this, I tell you. Even while knowing they might die. The point is, that was not the issue. These were people who knew the answer to “Why did our nation fall?” And “Why were we taken captive?” “But then why did God raise us to high positions?” They perceived it. “Whether we live or die is not the issue. God’s Word is telling us to show testimony before Babylon and the king.” They built their lives within that. History happened. For me it is not a miracle; it is expected.

3) Esther

Esther did exactly the same thing.

4) King Cyrus

One day King Cyrus conquered those lands and told Israel to return home. A remarkable thing happened. All of this is the fulfillment of the Word, prophesied. We must always remember. Immanuel Changwon Church has already been reformed and called by God to bring life to the Gyeongnam region. Right? We need to make it so that everyone in Gyeongnam hears the gospel. Do you understand?

2. Restoration of the temple

The second one. What do we need to be inside of? Complete restoration of the lost temple. This is staking my life within it. Let us together build our lives inside this.

1) The Holy of Holies

Here is the Holy of Holies where the ark of the covenant is kept. There is the Holy of Holies symbolizing God.

2) The sanctuary

Everything that symbolizes Christ is what the sanctuary contains. There is such a sanctuary. The oil, the lampstand, whatever you wash with as you enter — all of it symbolizes Christ.

3) The courtyard of prayer

Here is the courtyard of prayer where the 24 fire is lit.

4) The children’s courtyard

There is the children’s courtyard where children come and receive spiritual strength.

5) The courtyard of the Gentiles

At this point, God had already commanded the courtyard of the Gentiles to save the world. Rebuild this quickly. So that is the content of today’s message. That is why heaven and earth and sea and the nations cannot help but be shaken. It goes even beyond that.

3. Building the future

Here, important future-building is contained. Do you know what?

1) The incarnation

Liberation comes, and this is the schedule on which Christ comes through the incarnation.

2) The early church

At this time the early church is born. Coming forth.

3) The Paul team

At this time God forms Paul teams for the gospel movement — teams like Immanuel Changwon Church. All of this is included in the journey right now. It cannot help but happen. “I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the nations. Declares the Lord Almighty.” You must hold this covenant firmly.

▣ Conclusion — Preparing the vessel

So from now on, having received this blessing, what must we do? We must prepare the vessel. There is no need to do anything else. We must prepare the vessel.

[1] 300 places in this region

I will draw a box around this since it is important. Spread the Word movement so that everyone in this region can hear it. In the beginning I spread it to 300 places. No church building, did not matter. I spread the Word movement to 300 places. What was the standard? The people in our neighborhood first needed to hear the Word. They needed to hear the gospel at least once. Now there are many systems, but back then there were no systems. I went to a newspaper office, I tell you. Not a newspaper office, actually. A newspaper distribution branch, you know. A branch in Yeongdo that distributed newspapers. Everyone read the newspaper back then. I sent 13 questions to the people living in Yeongdo. They were inserted into the newspaper and went into every home. That is how the Word movement began. Exactly three years later, a thousand disciples arose. It had absolutely nothing to do with my own strength. The power of the Word is this great. Start with this first.

[2] Gyeongnam — 1,000 bartizans

Establish 1,000 bartizans in the Gyeongnam region. Just pray this prayer. There is nothing else to do. “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.” Everything is already there.

[3] 3 courtyards

Prepare the three courtyards that contain my life, my memorial, and my future. First and foremost because it is what God wants — the three courtyards. It must become my memorial. I need to have a future. And keep praying. If you keep praying, the answer comes. In some ways you do not even need to learn from other people. Just keep praying directly and the answer comes.

[4] The three-day weekend — concentration

On this land, truly open the three-day weekend age that brings life to the people. What will you do? There is no need to think about that. Why? Because Remnant right now do not even know how to pray. They need to, do they not? There are many sick people right now, many without strength. These people need to find strength, do they not? There is no need to ask what you will do. Asking that would be strange. Simply put, practice the concentration that Christ modeled. Christ was crucified on Friday and rose on Sunday. This is not just ordinary talk. Open this here.

[5] The holy meditation age

In the end, because the age of mental illness has come, we must go out armed. Especially our Remnant must go out armed. What do we arm ourselves with? The holy meditation age. We go out having prepared the holy meditation age that heals the world. God has no choice but to answer. So heaven and earth and sea and the nations will be shaken. God is saying He will do that. Simply put, He is saying He will accomplish world evangelization. What would He shake heaven and earth and sea for? He is saying He will accomplish world evangelization. If heaven shakes, earth shakes, sea shakes — what happens? The whole world knows. He will bring about this astonishing history.

So even now you must be in prayer. So to what degree must we change ourselves and how must we teach the Remnant? When something happens, they do not know prayer. So they live according to their own thinking. Limits will certainly come. Not only do limits come, but things do not go well. Because it is according to my own thinking. And people who do have some faith, when a problem comes they pray. That is better than nothing, but that is not enough. You must see the problem from within prayer. It is not praying when a problem comes; you must see the problem from within prayer. Do you know what Remnant’s problem is? Prayer separately, study separately. Then it becomes too hard to live. You must study within the power of prayer. That is the difference of one sheet of paper.

Joseph did not pray because things were too hard. Joseph already had the secret of prayer. He set out with this. Whatever he encountered, it was fine. This is what is important. Worshipping ordinarily and worshipping from within deep prayer are completely different throughout the whole day. Then something tremendous comes out of it. You must be doing this even now.

[ Two lifelines ]

You must hold on to them. Prayer. And slow breathing that allows you to recover all your health. Two lifelines. Do not make it complicated; simply breathe in a way that enables prayer. Let me give a simple example. When you look out at a beautiful landscape or environment, your breathing becomes peaceful. Right? Even just looking at the distant sky and the horizon makes you peaceful. When you are very angry, you cannot breathe peacefully. There is a tremendous difference. So those two simply need to be connected together into prayer. I have expressed it this way: there are only two things I can do at will. Thinking. I do that at my own will. I turn this into prayer. There is one more thing I can do at will. Breathing. Apart from those two, there is nothing else I can do at my own will. So I am saying I will give my prayer and my breathing to God. Slowly.

So in the mornings when you open your eyes, you must always do this. Especially our elders need to be healthy, so when you open your eyes in the morning, you must unconditionally move about peacefully. We do not have time to go off to a corner somewhere to pray. While moving about, breathe long and deep. When you sleep with your mouth open, your mouth and lungs are already greatly damaged. They need to recover. Your brain cells are frighteningly breaking down. They need to recover. By praying in the morning. No need to set a fixed time. Just continuously. Even now when I interpret, I breathe in deeply. When it is finished, slowly. It is tremendously helpful to your health in spirit and body. That is morning prayer.

Then what kind of prayer do we do during the day? Conversational prayer. Conversational prayer about everything you see and hear with God. Not speaking out loud. It is a heart-to-heart conversation between God and me. Right? It becomes tremendous. You become peaceful.

Then that is done and now it is evening. In the evening you are making a masterpiece. Making what? You make 300%. Making 300% is much easier. What does 300% mean? On the day I graduated from seminary, I prayed to God. This is not a trash bin — why are there so many seminary students? There are many. But why are churches declining? America is funny that way. There are an enormous number of seminaries. Yet churches are declining. Where is there such a strange thing? So I began preparing for evangelism. I read every single book on evangelism — and they were not the answer. The answer came from here (the Bible). This is 100%, I tell you. So how good is that? Other people, being in good circumstances, go out to play, go to spend money, go abroad. Already doing that as students. I was not in those kinds of circumstances. But that is not a sad thing. Right? Where did I go? I went to the field. Every day. I saw many things. That is field 100%. Then what needs to happen from here? So I prepared a system capable of world evangelization for that purpose. That is 300%.

From the moment I took on the church, it feels like 40 years have passed in about four months. God has opened the doors of the world and now people of many ethnicities are beginning to pour in. 300% is much easier, I tell you. Prayer also 300%. In the morning you recover. During the day you confirm. At night you find answers. Right? How comfortable and good is that? Especially because of this, our church leaders need spiritual strength and health. Only then can world evangelization happen.

“I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the nations.” I have said it multiple times. “Declares the Lord Almighty.” Let us pray.

Prayer. Thank you, God. Let us recover what God has given us. Let us be within the fulfillment of the Word, let us be within the sanctuary construction that saves the church, and let my life be in the place of building the future. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

「I Am Doing a New Thing」
(Is 43:18-19)

▣ Introduction

1. World churches are closing their doors, but 237-5,000 ethnic groups are still waiting for the gospel.

By now our missions conference has almost concluded and everyone has returned to their respective countries. Right now churches in America are closing their doors. In Europe, it has been going on for a long time. 237-5,000 ethnic groups are waiting for the gospel. What should we do at a time like this?

2. The greatest gift parents can give their children is the power of prayer that enables them to survive in any environment.

Today you need to take with you something that gives you certain answers to experience. Also, today is Children’s Sunday and Parents’ Sunday. That too is important, but we must receive answers in order to be able to show filial devotion. The greatest education parents can give their children is to make them people who can pray. They are going out to be defeated in the world. No matter where they are, they need the strength to survive on their own.

3. The Word given to Israel in despair

Israel has now fallen into despair. When you fall into complete despair, what do you do? It is completely beyond comprehension… The temple has been destroyed and Israel has been taken captive. This is the situation they have encountered. At this time God gave them an important answer for receiving answers. There are parts that need to be understood first.

1) Do not remember the former things or ponder the things of old.

“Do not remember the former things. Do not ponder the things of old.” Is that possible?

(1) A person stuck in the past

A person stuck in the past absolutely cannot succeed. They cannot receive answers either. Right? For some reason — it is not even embarrassing — couples who fight so much appear on TV to try to resolve it. They must have been desperately frustrated to come out. From my perspective, these people are hopeless in two ways. Both of them say the exact same thing. “I have done nothing wrong; my husband is the problem.” The husband says, “No, that one is the one who is wrong.” This keeps going. And there is another characteristic: they are completely trapped in the past, constantly bringing up old things. I am confident that when those people go home, they will fight again.

(2) A person with mental problems

When you actually see a person with mental problems, they are completely gripped by the past, telling the same story over and over, trapped in it. So “Do not remember the former things. Do not ponder the things of old.” But is this possible? We stop remembering old things and stop thinking about them? Is that possible? Because this is not possible, many people fall into wounds. Many people fall into limitations. Some even have spiritual problems come. Some people, having been so wounded, have children who are in conflict.

But today an important Word has come out. It does not mean you should be unable to remember the past or should not think about old things. It gave the answer right after that.

2) I will do a new thing.

“I will do a new thing.” Right? You must remember this. A person who holds on to the new thing God is doing can overcome the past, the former things. This is extremely important. A person who does the new thing God is doing — no matter how much of a problem the past and former things become, it is fine. In fact, those things become a springboard. Right? “I will do a new thing.” What new thing will He do? “I will make a way in the wilderness. I will make streams in the wasteland.”

3) I will make a way in the wilderness. I will make streams in the wasteland.

Tremendous. It means He will completely bring life. “I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Because this is a sure covenant, do not think about the past. Do not remember the former things. This is what it means. This is tremendously important for us.

▣ Main — 5 sure covenants

How can we receive this blessing, what must we do to receive it? Today you simply need to hold five sure covenants.

1. You must know what true prayer is.

This is the first one from Isaiah. A person who knows what true prayer is can receive this blessing. What is prayer?

1) Isaiah saw the God seated on the throne and the heavenly hosts in the midst of prayer (Isaiah 6).

In Isaiah chapter 6, God appeared to Isaiah from within the throne. The angels were flying up and flapping their wings and so on. At that time God said, “Whom shall I send?” And he said, “Send me.” God said no. He said He would leave a stump. That part is right, but that is not what is important actually. That is God’s plan. When did this begin? This is the part that began while Isaiah was praying.

2) Prayer connects to the throne.

Your prayers are imprinted firmly on the throne. Right? That is prayer. When John the apostle looked, all your prayers are carried before the throne. They are placed in that bowl. The angel does all the errand work. This is prayer. Your prayer connects with the throne. When you hold the covenant today, God’s kingdom comes. Right? Then the work of God’s kingdom is accomplished — I explained that today. “Rather than you, I will raise up Remnant.” Right? “That is the holy seed.” When you hold the covenant today, if you know what prayer is, history will certainly happen. You must know what prayer is. There are many people who do not know what prayer is.

I spoke about it this morning. When King Saul was thinking about how to kill David, that is where the kingdom of Satan came. This is important. Right? David, hiding and running to the very end, said, “Because the Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” At that moment God’s kingdom comes. Right? You must know the fact that your prayers connect with the throne. Then a way will be made in the wilderness and streams will flow in the wasteland. You must hold on to this absolutely today. Why do we worship? What is an answer? During the time of worship, God’s kingdom comes from the throne.

3) During the time of worship, God’s kingdom comes.

If you do not know this, pray your whole life — however much you pray, you will not know. What you see with your eyes later is the result. It means the work of God’s kingdom has been accomplished. And so worship is important. When Joseph was being dragged away as a slave, what did he pray? “This is not going to slavery. This is the path of world mission.” Right? That is where God’s kingdom comes. So Satan is still alive today and always follows around. When King Saul kept trying to kill David, an evil spirit came upon him. The Lord seated on the throne appeared to Isaiah. If you know what prayer is, history will certainly happen.

4) What you see with your eyes comes a little while later.

What you see with your eyes — that comes a bit later. That is not what is important. Right now, in the moment you are worshipping, in the moment you are holding the covenant, when you pray, God’s kingdom comes. At that moment the errands of the Lord’s angels start going out. Unbelievers do not know and cannot believe it. Our life is in heaven. Right? Enjoying that heavenly throne is prayer. God showed this to Isaiah first.

2. You must know the gospel that breaks the power of darkness and reverses destiny.

The second one. You must know the gospel that binds the darkness and reverses destiny. What came forth at this time?

1) Isaiah 7:14

In Isaiah 7:14: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

2) Isaiah 8:3

It came up again in chapter 8, verse 3. What is this saying? It is speaking of the astonishing message that completely shatters the darkness and reverses destiny.

3) Genesis 3:15

In Genesis 3:15: “The offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent.” This is no ordinary statement. It means that Jesus Christ will break the authority of Satan. Then destiny is turned upside down.

4) John 1:12

“To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” It is speaking of that blessing.

5) Exodus 3:18

The day the blood of the lamb was applied, they were set free. Right? The gospel is tremendous.

If you know what prayer is, and what the power of the gospel is, a way will be made in the wilderness and streams will flow in the wasteland. You must hold on to this and go.

3. You must hold on to the power of the Word.

The third one. It is when the Word comes.

1) The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah

“The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time.” That is the end of it, right?

2) The word of God came to Moses

“The word of God came to Moses.”

3) The word of Galatians 3:28 came to Lincoln

There are many leaders here who will serve our region — city council candidates and the like — attending worship, and the word of God came to Lincoln. Right? The word of God in Galatians 3:28 came. And so he came out with the emancipation of Black slaves.

4) The word of Isaiah 40

What does Isaiah 40 say? You need to hold this covenant and go. Only then does history happen. “Go up to a high mountain and proclaim.” What to proclaim?

(1) Isaiah 40:8

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but proclaim that the word of the Lord stands forever.”

(2) Isaiah 40:18-20

“Is what was made by hands a god?” It appears in Isaiah 40. “People make something and bow to it — is that a god? Some make it large, some make it of gold — what kind of god is that?”

(3) Isaiah 40:27

And then what did he say? “Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel?” What is it? “Why is my way hidden from God? Why does God not hear my complaint?”

(4) Isaiah 40:28-31

In Isaiah 40:28: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting Lord God, who rules to the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and stumble and young men fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

No other strength can save us. We must remember this. You must know what prayer is. You must know what the gospel power is that reverses destiny. That is Immanuel. Once you know that, the Word comes. The Word is the eternal, living Word. That is what was explained today in Isaiah.

4. Arise and shine — evangelism and mission

What is next? The fourth thing comes out. You must know what the light is.

1) Arise, shine

“Arise, shine.” That is what evangelism and mission is. “Arise and shine.”

2) The glorious light of the Lord

More importantly: “The glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

3) Your children will return.

“Just shine this light and your children from the nations will return to you. Your daughters from distant lands will return. They will come bearing silver and gold.” It speaks of complete restoration. Light.

In some ways, even if busy people do not go out to evangelize, the door of evangelism opens. Right? If you know you are light. Then those who are in darkness will see the light and come.

I once said something pretty pointed to a military chaplain I was close to. “Just what are you doing as a chaplain?” I asked. Because we were close I could ask. “Hey, do you not know the gospel for the soldiers committing suicide in the military?” Those foolish things. Why would a soldier commit suicide just for doing something wrong in the military? Why would someone commit suicide just because someone is bullying them? No. This person has been tormented by spiritual problems even before going to the military and cannot endure it. The fact that there is no chaplain or military minister who can help them — that is the truly sad thing. Right?

Arise and shine. It is simple. Normal working people at the office, going around making noise and doing evangelism? No need to do that. One day, people will come knowing who you are. Right? Because light saves people. That is when you can speak to them. “Arise, shine. Those in darkness will return.” If you hold this covenant, a way will be made in the wilderness. Streams will flow in the wasteland. Right?

5. You must know the mission of the watchman.

One more last thing to know. Who are you? That is the question. You are watchmen. You must know that and go. A watchman is someone who keeps watch 24 hours.

1) One who does not give the Lord rest

“Do not give the Lord any rest, day or night.” That is a watchman.

2) One who opens the highway

“Open the highway.” There needs to be a highway for traffic to come.

3) One who raises a banner for all peoples

“Raise a banner for all peoples.”

These are the five. Those who understood these words are the ones who came forth. Right?

▣ Conclusion

When Isaiah spoke these words, most people cursed Isaiah. Some even killed Isaiah. Such spiritually ignorant people exist. Who held this prophecy of Isaiah as a covenant? You know.

1. Daniel

In Babylon, Daniel.

1) He held this covenant and made a resolution.

Daniel held it and made his resolution. What happened? A way was truly made in the wilderness and streams flowed in the wasteland. Right?

2) Three kings bowed to Daniel.

Three kings bowed to Daniel. Right? King Nebuchadnezzar. King Belshazzar. King Darius. Those kings even praised the Lord and exalted Daniel. Why? Because he held the covenant. Remember this.

When a desperate problem comes, you must know what prayer is — prayer that moves the throne. Prayer is the place where God’s kingdom comes first. Right? The kingdom where the Lord seated on the throne sends his angels and messengers to run errands comes first. And then what? You must truly know the gospel that reverses destiny and shatters the darkness. After that the Word comes. Right? After that, what? Now you shine the light. And so He established you as watchmen. New congregation members are watchmen who save their family lines. Missionaries are watchmen who save nations. Right? That is how they were established. But everyone missed this covenant.

2. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

There were those who held it. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Right? This is the prophecy about Babylon, I tell you.

1) High positions

As you know, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were placed in high positions. They did not think they had succeeded. They knew the reason. “We are captives right now. This is not success. I am now seated in a high position. This is not luck.” They had to see it correctly. There is the work of God that I must do here. Here is the covenant, as prophesied, to make a way in the wilderness and make water flow through the wasteland.

2) They did not bow before the idol temple.

At that time, they made an idol temple and had all the senior officials bow to it. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego naturally refused. So it showed. The king summoned them. “Why did you not?” Because they were such outstanding individuals, the king said, “I will give you one chance.” “I will give you one chance, so bow just once. When you hear the sound of the trumpet, hear it and bow.” At that moment they answered: “Your Majesty, we do not need to give an answer to what you are saying.” That is what they said. “The Lord will rescue us.” And then they said an even more fearsome thing afterward. “Even if the Lord does not rescue us.” So imagine how insulted the king felt. So he threw them into the fire. He threw three people in, but four were moving around inside. The one — a messenger of the Lord sent from the throne — was protecting them. When he saw this, what did he say?

3) The king was moved and made a way in the wilderness so that people could be saved, and streams in the wasteland.

The king was moved. A way in the wilderness — a way in the wilderness so all the world could go. Streams in the wasteland so people could be saved.

You are the ones who receive this answer, I tell you. Right? You must hold it firmly. You must first know what prayer is. So you must know what the gospel is. Without the gospel, darkness cannot be changed. So Daniel — you all know. Daniel was the one who held this covenant firmly, and Esther was one who held it. A few people. The numbers need not be many. A few people held the covenant. They opened a highway in Babylon. Right? Through that Babylon they made streams flow in the wasteland so that many people could receive life. This must actually become visible to you.

Today Seoul, Ulsan, and Changwon are all worshipping together. Distance does not matter. You must hold the covenant properly. Parents’ Sunday, Children’s Sunday — those are not so important. If I am told to write a birthday, I write it. Some date. I do not know if I am coming or going. Is it that important? Right when I came to this church it was 1987, I think. Very few congregation members. It must have been my birthday. They had a test of faith among themselves. So I told my wife at home: why did you tell them about my birthday like that? And I said: never do a birthday again. That sort of thing is not necessary. I have kept that promise to this day. Nothing needed. A while back, someone said “Let’s do a seventieth birthday.” That sort of thing is not necessary. What is so important about it? Women seem to think it is very important. It is not very important. We need to be set free. Right?

Right now people are dying quickly; we need to make a way in the wilderness. People are dying in the wasteland; we need to make streams flow right now. I ask that you hold the covenant firmly. If just one person holds it, answers keep coming for a lifetime. Right? When I was young, something was imprinted on me. “Why is my father always so sick?” That was imprinted on me. “That is not how it should be.” Right? And why are people always suffering because of money like that? Cannot even do evangelism. That is not right. I thought it was wrong. And the answers to that have kept coming ever since. It is not difficult, is it? I will make a way in the wilderness, make streams flow in the wasteland. It is God’s promise. Let us pray.

Prayer. God, let us go to the field today with important answers. Let us go to our families. Let us open a way through the blocked wilderness of the whole world. Let the water of life flow to those dying in the wasteland. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

「The Prosperity of the Descendants 」
(Ge 11:1-9)

After the time of Noah, God blessed Israel and their descendants prospered greatly. But there is something you must know. The Satan who brought down the people of Israel in darkness did not die — he is still alive.

▣ Introduction — Satan

The flood ended, but Satan is still alive. The people of Israel came out of Egypt, but Satan is still alive and following along. Do you understand?

[ Hebrews 11:1-2 ]

In Hebrews 11:1-2, there is this statement.

[ What is hoped for — substance ]
[ What is not seen — evidence ]

Faith is what is hoped for — this means it is not yet visible to the eyes. But this is not an illusion; it is substance. What is not seen — you cannot see it, but it is evidence. We believe this. Not believing an illusion, but substance. Not believing what is visible to the eyes right now, but evidence. So what must be remembered is: why do we worship today? Your prayers are presented before the throne, but during the time you pray, God’s kingdom is meant to come.

Now, Joseph was being dragged away as a slave. Being sold. “I absolutely cannot live like this. I cannot live this way at all.” If he said that, he would lose. At that moment darkness comes. Right? “I am on the path right now of accomplishing world evangelization.” At that moment God’s kingdom comes. You understand, right? That is the answer. The result comes later. So even though it is not visible, it is evidence, it is substance. “King Saul absolutely must kill that David. If that one makes a mistake, he will take my position.” That is what happened. So King Saul became possessed by an evil spirit. Seeing that, you can see kingdom came. Right? Satan also has a kingdom. David said, “Because the Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Right now I am actually walking through the darkest valley, yet I will not be afraid.” Right? At that moment God’s kingdom comes. You must remember this.

And so worshipping is extremely important. When you hold the covenant, the answer comes a bit later, and God’s kingdom comes. When you hate others intensely and try to kill them — at that point what comes first? Darkness comes first. Right? You must always remember this. So some people pray their fill and then go home and say “My husband is hopeless.” Then darkness comes. God can do it. Right? You are what is important. And so scheduled prayer and these kinds of things — momentary prayer at every moment causes God’s kingdom to come.

How should we pray? He said to pray for God’s kingdom to come. “Do not ask for this or that. God knows. That is what unbelievers do. You seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Then all these things will be given to you as well.” And in the last days, the secret of the answer — the work of God’s kingdom — was explained for 40 days. You understand, right? I do not even need to explain much — you understand. Right now in this moment, when you hold the covenant, God’s kingdom comes. When you pray, God’s kingdom comes. This is not what I am saying. It is what Jesus said. I believe this fact. You must always remember it.

▣ Main

The descendants of Israel kept prospering, but that is not the issue — Satan keeps following along. Continuously. So even now, what does Satan do? He keeps trying to bring down the many believers.

1. Satan

Satan is not dead, I tell you.

1) Opposing

So what is it doing even now? It opposes God. With no power at all, it opposes God.

2) No salvation

And it tries to block people from being saved.

3) No grace

And even when saved, it blocks them from receiving grace. And then later it blocks all of these.

4) Hell

Later it is not a matter of dying anymore; one is locked away in hell.

2. The Tower of Babel

Now, this must be remembered. Because people succeeded without believing in God, they begin building the Tower of Babel. So making a lot of money is not a blessing. Being healthy is also not a blessing in itself. A person who has received God’s blessing should have money and be healthy. Right? A person who has not even received blessing having a lot of money? That leads to death. Also, “being healthy is a blessing”? That is not necessarily so. A person who has received God’s blessing and covenant being healthy is a blessing; but someone wandering around strangely and always harming and killing people — is being healthy a blessing for them? Because they do not know God, Satan gets involved in all of this. That is how it goes. So the genealogy of Noah’s descendants is recorded at length, but what did they do?

1) A city

Let us build a city all the way to the top.

2) The top

Do not just build a city; let us build it all the way to the top. Let us challenge God’s dwelling place.

3) A name

And let us make a name for ourselves. That is what the Tower of Babel was. And in doing so it collapsed.

3. Christ

So God promised Christ. In the Old Testament, He said He would send Christ. In the New Testament, Christ came.

1) Blood — the curse

Through this blood sacrifice, we are freed from Satan’s curse. Right? This is the promise He gave.

2) Name — authority

In the New Testament age, we overcome Satan’s power through the name of Jesus Christ. He gave the authority to overcome Satan through that name. Until the second coming.

3) Binding

We bind Satan in the name of Jesus Christ.

You must remember. Satan is not dead. It keeps moving around. And because people do not know what prayer is that causes God’s kingdom to come, Satan gets in among people and makes this (the Tower of Babel) happen.

▣ Conclusion — [ Always ]

So from today, knowing this fact, you must always enjoy God’s kingdom. The visible answer comes after that. Right?

1. 7 bartizans — platform

What is it? Keep enjoying the 7 bartizans. If you keep this prayer going, it becomes a platform.

2. 7 journeys — watchtower

No need to do anything special. If you keep going the 7 journeys through prayer, a light-shining watchtower is built.

3. 7 guideposts — antenna

If you keep praying the 7 guideposts, an antenna that connects with God for world evangelization stands.

You must pray today. When a problem comes, what decision you make — that is what matters. If Joseph, having been unjustly sent to prison, had screamed and caused an uproar, darkness would have come upon him. There he prayed. “This will be an important place.” There he meets the politician. It truly was an important place. God’s kingdom came there. Some things are fulfilled after a long time. After quite a while, Pharaoh summoned him.

I pray that today will be a tremendous blessing of holding the covenant where God’s kingdom comes. Let us pray.

Prayer

Today, let the power of the throne be manifested all day, and let God’s kingdom come in the time we pray. Let the work of God’s kingdom bring life to many people. Give new strength to Your people who worship today. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Joseph

One person is enough. Joseph. Many are not needed. One person named Joseph who has the covenant and knows prayer is enough to completely transform Egypt. This is the power of the gospel. Many people do not know the power of the gospel well. It is the power of the gospel.

Moses

One person is enough. Moses. God called Moses and said, “Go and offer a blood sacrifice.” That is it. All the answers are contained in that.

[ 1 Samuel 3:19 ]

Not one word that Samuel spoke fell to the ground. One Remnant who has received grace and knows prayer is enough.

Psalms 78:70-72

If one person awakens while young, one person like David is enough. God will lead. One person in each nation is enough. God will lead. Find these kinds of people and raise them. Even if you tell the answers not to come, they will come. Even if answers do not come, that is fine. Right? You must be aligned in direction with God. No matter how outstanding a person may be, if they are not aligned in direction with God, it is failure. “Go and make disciples of all nations. I will be with you always, having all authority in heaven and on earth.” He promised. “At that time you will receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit.” Right? “Then power will come upon you. You will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth.”

This week, this applies to work people as well, and to all of you who need to accomplish world evangelization — these are the doors that will open going forward. You need to make this your prayer request. Let us pray.

Prayer. Thank you, God. At this hour, let the power of the throne work. Let God’s kingdom come upon the church we serve and everywhere connected to us. Let the work of God’s kingdom be accomplished wherever God’s Word has come. Let everything that blocks the gospel be bound. Let the darkness that closes the doors of world churches retreat. Let the history of the gospel being restored in the world’s churches come to pass. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Thank you. Because there was one violin, it was still an orchestra.

Jesus said, “Go to all nations, all peoples, to the ends of the earth.” How does that work? We checked and found there are 237 countries and 5,000 ethnic groups — how can we go to all of them? Also, even without going on mission, how can we receive the same blessings as the missionaries? Even while helping missionaries, how does that give the same blessing? You need to take the answer to that with you today.

“World Remnant Family-Making Movement”

If mission feels distant from you, there are many things you will miss. Seeing all nations and the ends of the earth means your occupation, work, and studies will receive that much blessing. There is a way.

It is the World Remnant Family-Making Movement. When you contact the headquarters, the family-making happens through the missionaries.

▣ Introduction — The reason

We first need to understand the reason for this a little. Without knowing the reason, it cannot be done.

There was a time when Korea was very poor. While Japan, China, and Russia were all developing, only our country was poor. So those nations kept prodding our country. We were very powerless and poor. And while we were in that state, Japan, Russia, China, and the like developed and were making weapons. We were walking around with swords while they came with guns. There was no way to win. And we were extremely poor and struggling. In the midst of that, a war broke out. Things became extremely difficult.

This is what happened then. Missionaries came into our country. They did three things. The missionaries came into our country and spread the gospel. Then they told the whole world about the injustice Korea was suffering. And after that they built schools. This is what the missionaries did. That was well done, right?

America also — when the Puritans entered America, the first thing they did was build a house of worship. The next thing they did was build schools. The third thing they did was build their own homes. In our country, it would be reversed — build your own home first. These people sent missionaries to our country and did this.

At that time, the advanced nations did the work of raising talented people in Korea. This is exactly what this is (the World Remnant Family-Making Movement). In my own case, I was connected to a Swedish person. Even now, if you connect with missionaries and carry out the movement of finding talented people, it gives strength to the missionaries and brings tremendous answers. And since I was in elementary school at the time, those people were already using this strategy back then. Knowing that our country was extremely difficult and poor, that is how the system was created.

But not long after, our Korea transformed into a powerful nation. In practice, no country can touch our nation now. It is different from the old days. I asked a real expert, and they said we absolutely cannot be defeated. Our country is a powerful nation. And it is an advanced nation. And missionaries are being sent out and tremendous things like this have happened.

And then the missionaries came in and raised whom? They raised the next generation.

1. Powerful nations — 237, 5000

That may look like a small thing, but looking carefully — why were they sent to powerful nations? Because there are 237 and 5,000 ethnic groups. That is why.

2. RT

Who was sent there? Remnant were sent. That is the reason.

3. Kings

When Remnant were sent, the Remnant who went did not only raise up Remnant. They helped the kings of those nations. This is the wisdom God gave. Why? Because only by helping the kings can this (237, 5000) be accomplished. That is the reason.

And so as you are praying, “What is the way to bring life to what is now like an island nation?” It is calling for talented people. Before calling them, designating them and raising them. That is possible. Truly, for us it is a very small amount of money, and yet we can raise those people with it. We cannot miss this opportunity. Just a few thousand won, and you can raise a talented person there. If we try to go there and raise them, even a few million won a month is not enough. The doors of evangelism and mission remain open on this tremendous scale.

Yet strangely, the first missionaries who came to Korea had something they all said in common. “Korea has never invaded another country yet has always been invaded. And so Korea is a nation that will accomplish world evangelization.” They all said this in common. At first I thought, “They must have said it to encourage us.” But that was not it.

And so now the time in God’s timetable for truly receiving answers has come.

▣ Main

Simply by doing this, what answers came? That is what we are asking.

Family-Making Movement — RT

Why must we raise this kind of Remnant?

1. Deuteronomy 6:4-9

In the end, they came out of Egypt. It is ultimately about the next generation. Imprint everything that has existed up until now.

1) Imprinting

“On your foreheads, on your doorposts, on your hands.” This means imprint it.

2) Roots

Then they will take root, will they not?

3) Disposition

If you make Remnant this way, the world will come alive.

2. 1 Samuel 7:9-15

What?

1) Mizpah

When one Remnant arose, the Mizpah movement completely erupted. The Remnant that pastors and missionaries are raising today — following God’s plan, you do not know what will happen in world evangelization. When they first came to our country and started, it seemed like nothing would happen, but our country transformed into a nation that accomplishes world evangelization.

2) Gospel restoration

Look carefully at what this one person did. Gospel restoration appears. It is the Mizpah movement, and in chapter 7, verses 9 and 10, the blood covenant appears and gospel restoration appears.

3) Peace

“While Samuel was alive, there was no war.” When one Remnant arises, such great history happens. God, after imprinting the Remnant, made them enter the land of Canaan.

3. 1 Samuel 16:1-13

Why must this be done? Raise even one person like David and history happens. Missionaries overseas must completely change their mission strategy. They need to do the real thing.

I said to Missionary Hong Chang-wook: “Analyze the actual reality of Germany. You need to analyze how the children are living.” The answer will probably come out of that.

These days I see many good successors rising up. These are the fruit of your decades of dedication. Among them, from my perspective, I think “Could someone like Missionary Hong Chang-wook not save Europe?” That is what I think.

You must analyze the field correctly. And you must analyze what kinds of sick people are living there. You need to quickly analyze what state the children’s drug use and mental condition are in. You need to dig into that.

If that does not work, even a mountain is fine, like this place here. Go to a broad piece of land, build a church building, and start raising them. If you do not do that, there is no reason for a church to exist. That is why they are closing their doors.

So raise up people like David. One person is enough. When one person like David arose, what happened?

1) Fullness of the Holy Spirit

Something of the fullness of the Holy Spirit was transmitted to David.

2) Philistines

As you know, because one person, David, was clothed with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the Philistines were completely brought down by David.

3) The world

Because of one person, David, the door to saving the world was opened. Raise Remnant.

In particular, now that I have come to Changwon Immanuel Church, I am so grateful to God. Of course, it is God’s grace, but it is evident that our elders and congregation members truly prepared through prayer. When I first heard about it — there were graves and this and that — I thought it would be completely impossible. But this is such a wonderful place for training. It is a wonderful place for prayer. So I am truly grateful to God.

Here, call in talented people of many ethnicities; find those who are already in Korea. You must call them. Do not call them carelessly; analyze in detail and the real answer comes.

I used to say this in the old days. When I was put in charge of the senior high school department, what did I do? The young person does not know. I investigated all of their family backgrounds and academic situations. I was truly astonished as I did that. Some children were beyond imagination. Some children are so bright yet performing so poorly in their studies, is that not the case? What I need to teach them becomes clear. So analyze the field carefully.

Survey the whole of Masan and Gyeongnam — the people of many ethnicities, the sick people. Send them invitations, hold seminars — that is all you need to do. The decision to come is theirs.

4. 2 Kings 6:8-24

When God works, people like this come out from among them, I tell you. These kinds of people come out.

1) Dothan

When one person like this appears, talented people gather from across the entire region to Dothan, I tell you.

2) Aram

The nation of Aram is completely shaken.

3) Victory

When one Remnant who prays appears, when one Remnant who knows the gospel appears, they win without fighting. True power is winning without fighting. They win without having fought.

Raise Remnant throughout the whole world. Make them your family and raise them. There are many. And so mission is a simple method. There is no need to go. The missionaries already there are sufficient. Ask the missionaries and do the family-making. This time when we went and talked about music, the response was tremendous. You must know the methods of world mission. There, we said to form a soccer team, and it caused a great stir. And through that, you are finding the talented people.

5. Esther 4:1-6

Even just one woman like this appearing is enough. We need one person.

1) Queen

When Esther became queen, Mordecai said something: “Never reveal that you are Jewish.” Later, there was God’s plan in that. A great problem came.

2) Esther 4:1-16

“Go now and speak. Go now and reveal that you are Jewish.” This carries great meaning. In chapter 2 it was “Never speak of it.” At that moment Esther said: “If I perish, I perish.” “Please pray for me.”

3) The Feast of Purim

By doing this, a historic thing was left. That is the Feast of Purim. Because of one person.

This is something Remnant must always resolve. “If one person like me comes alive, the family line will come alive and everywhere I go can be saved. Nothing to boast about, nothing to show off, nothing to be ashamed of. Because it is a secret.”

For me, the gospel is so good, so perfect. In some ways, there is nothing to show off, nothing to boast about — just enjoy it. Just enjoying this prayer opens all the doors. Do this and send them out.

6. John 21:15-18

And so Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” What does it mean to feed the lambs? It must be done quickly.

1) Something else
2) The wrong thing
3) What leads to ruin

They are growing up eating something else, the wrong thing, what leads to ruin. Go quickly and feed the lambs.

7. Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8

Before the opportunity is lost, teach the Remnant three things about completeness: the completeness of Christ; the completeness of worship in the three-day weekend age; the completeness of answered prayer. This appears in verse 8. They need to be taught this.

You cannot afford not to know the completeness of Christ. Not knowing that means not knowing Christ properly. When you know Christ properly, you know the three-day weekend age and the completeness of worship. Spread this movement, and this church must spread it. Answers cannot help but come.

There are a few things Remnant must absolutely do. I will talk about them.

“The future becomes today”

The Remnant who will save the world see the future and bring it into today. So if they pray even a little, the future becomes visible to the Remnant.

▣ Introduction — Future

Because you do not pray at all, you cannot see it; if you pray even a little, the future becomes visible.

1. Genesis 37:1-11

Joseph had already seen the future. So his whole life journey is the path of fulfilling that — there is nothing to worry about.

2. Exodus 3:1-18

Moses is someone who struggled without clearly grasping the future. Even though his mother told him, he could not firmly hold on to it until he grew old. This is when he was 80 years old. At that time God told him. Appearing forcibly in the midst of a flame. From that point different things began to happen. People say prayer, but they do not know what it is for. It is the thing that makes you know clearly what the future is.

3. 1 Samuel 3:1-19

I said “these are characteristics.” He made it clearly known to Samuel.

4. 1 Samuel 16:1-13

He made it clearly known to David. Only by knowing it clearly do you bring this future into today. Nearly all Remnant received this blessing.

5. 2 Kings 2:9-11

Already, having cast away all ambition — asking for a double portion of the spirit — this means he had already known the future. Jericho, Bethel, Gilgal — those are not the issue. He had already known. God has no choice but to use him.

6. Daniel 1:8-9

It was not success. Daniel knew. The future. Why he was there. Why he had been taken captive. Why he had been raised to such a high position. He knew all of it. He made a resolution. God has no choice but to work.

7. Acts 9:15

So God made clearly known to Paul what was certain. There is nothing to be shaken or not shaken by. How can one come to know this?

What must you start with? Prayer.

1. Prayer

1) Psalms 5:3

Remnant, even if it is brief, pray in the morning. Psalms 5:3. Pray in the morning. Since you have to wake up anyway, when you wake up, pray. Pray even for 5 minutes. In my own case, when I get up in the morning I continue praying deeply while getting ready. I always maintain breathing for health. While interpreting I breathe in. I just breathe out while speaking. Continuously. In the morning.

2) Psalms 17:3

At night. Tremendous things happen in the brain. People do not know prayer; that is why. You know that condition where someone is color-blind and cannot distinguish colors? Then they cannot tell colors apart. Then for their whole life they have never seen blue-green. What would happen? It is serious. When you pray, tremendous things happen in the brain. Most people do not know this. They keep thinking, keep worrying. And some people with not-even-good minds still calculating cleverly. That is a big problem. Remnant, do not be deceived — pray.

3) Psalms 23:1

Pray during the day. “Even though I walk through the darkest valley” — it is fine. He comforts and guides me in each moment. This is it. Why? Because He is my shepherd. David did nothing else but this. And then what?

4) Psalms 78:70-72

When you are a shepherd there is a lot of time. He did deep prayer. And praised. This is extremely important. Remnant must truly enjoy and come to understand this.

2. Ability

From this point, ability comes out. What kind of ability comes out?

1) The ability to tend sheep

The ability to tend sheep came out. Everyone does it, but it is different. David said he did not lose a single sheep. This means there were sometimes such incidents. To what extent did he have ability? Animals would come — a lion or bear would come and take a sheep. Then it would go somewhere to devour it. It would carry the sheep away. So to what degree was David skilled? He would throw a stone and hit the lion or bear in the head, at its vital point. Remarkable, right? Because it was dazed, he would pry open its mouth and pull the sheep out.

2) Goliath

This ability was what met Goliath. It was too easy. David defeating Goliath was truly a piece of cake. In English: “Piece of cake.” He won immediately. It goes beyond that. To what degree was his prayer and praise outstanding?

3) 1 Samuel 16:13

Just by having prayed, such power appears. Evil spirits are driven away. When you praise, darkness flees. Right?

3. 300%

Finally your 300% comes out. 300% in prayer, studies, and the future comes out.

300% comes out in prayer, studies, and the future too. This is the answer. Remnant must truly enjoy this.

▣ Conclusion

So for you, for Remnant — from the very beginning, do not think about answers; just pray. Then one day, this will be imprinted on you precisely.

1. Imprinting [bartizan]

That becomes the bartizan. Because it is imprinted, this becomes the bartizan.

2. Roots [journey]

They take root. The journey is made with this strength. Studies are done with this strength.

3. Disposition [guidepost]

Later, it becomes completely your disposition. What was imprinted becomes your disposition. The guidepost that leaves a masterpiece by looking at this. Remnant must always enjoy this at ease. One day, the testimony and conviction come. One day when this (the introduction) becomes visible. Then you are set. Then all the things that have happened are the process of fulfilling this (the introduction).

If one does not know this (the introduction), Joseph would have died on the way as he was being dragged off as a slave. From the shock. That slavery is not like riding in a car as people do today. It is being dragged. Hands and feet are bound to prevent escape, and they are dragged along. People die along the way. If you die along the way, they just discard you. Joseph already had this. Remnant, the answer of world evangelization has already been given to you. Start quietly. That is how you become a spiritual summit first. Even if you are young in age, you are a spiritual summit. At home, though young in age, you are the prayer summit who saves your parents. At school, you must respect teachers and many others, but in prayer you are the summit. Let us pray.

Prayer. Thank you, God. Let this time also be a time of enjoying the power of the throne. In this time also, send the Lord’s angels and let the work of God be accomplished. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

▣ Introduction

At the new sanctuary of Immanuel Changwon Church, we are getting to the core of things today. You simply need to make a church that people cannot help but come to. You need to make a church where people of many ethnicities can come comfortably, a church where the sick can come and rest and pray, a church where the Remnant can find peace and see their future. Even in Busan, you need to make it so that the people of the neighborhood come to the church just to rest. That is why I said to choose a mountain location. Busan has such a great location. There, you can make as many prayer spots and resting places as you want. The question is: how, and what does God want?

There was a boy who fell into the water and was about to die. A friend who was passing by spotted him and pulled him out. The two of them became friends. But it turned out this friend was a child from a very poor family. When he told his father about it, the father raised that child. He raised him so that he could study. The two boys grew up to do important things for their country. The boy who had fallen into the water became a politician named Churchill. The child from the poor family grew up to become a famous doctor who created penicillin to save the world — a man named Fleming.

What is the most precious thing we must leave behind? It is raising the right people of talent so that they have the gospel. So what is the way to save people of many ethnicities? It is raising those people of talent. Why do powerful nations build so many schools? It is to gather people of talent. They are competing. There are more than 5,000 universities in America alone. The idea is to take hold of the world’s talented people. In Boston alone, where Harvard University is located, there are 500 universities. They are all famous universities. The goal is to raise talented people.

There was an elderly man who went to a university to talk to someone, but they would not let him meet the president of the university. He said he had come to meet the president. Does just anyone get to meet the university president? If someone connected brings you, that works, but because people kept showing up casually and asking to meet, they stopped letting people in. Still, he did not leave. Eventually they made time and had him come in. This old man asked the president: “How much does it cost to run a university like this?” The president dismissed the old man and said, “Not just anyone can do this,” and sent him away. As the man quietly walked away, he thought to himself, “Raising talented people — that’s what schools are for…” He had intended to give this man everything he had earned and saved over a lifetime, but since the man had treated him so dismissively, he thought, “I’ll just build one myself.” And he did. He founded a university in his own name. That university is Stanford. Why? Because talented people must be raised.

“The Work Person Who Raises World Remnant”

We are work people who raise world Remnant. And so, for our Remnant, the headquarters must call in the world’s Remnant elites, give them the gospel, and send them out. Our work people must join in and pray for this. It may look small, but the whole world is contained in it. When they put that poor child through school, no one knew that child would go on to save the world. So no one knows what will happen to Remnant in the next generation. That is why this church must be made so that people of many ethnicities, so that Remnant, so that talented people will come. Why is that?

1. Luke 23:28

Jesus said, “Weep for your children.”

1) Crucifixion

Jesus was on the road going up to receive crucifixion. How could such a thing happen? As Jesus carried the cross and went up, many women wept. At that moment, Jesus turned and said: “Do not weep for me. Weep for your children.”

2) 70 A.D.

Jesus was looking ahead to 70 A.D. Before long, Israel would be destroyed catastrophically because they had blocked the gospel.

3) The next generation

What happened to this next generation? They were massacred catastrophically. That part alone is terrible enough, but they also took children and used them as subjects for experiments. Especially in Germany, that is what happened. They captured children and performed live experiments on them. And while those children waited to undergo those live experiments — I once saw a photograph of the look in their eyes. Think about what it would be like if your own child were there.

This is how great the sin of blocking the gospel is. Because it was so wretched, Jesus said it: “Do not weep for me. Weep for your children.”

Some children were dragged away into criminal groups. Many children were dragged away into back-alley work groups.

Yet within that, an unseen minority who held the gospel changed the world. You must think about what it is we need to do.

2. John 21:15-18

Jesus came to find Peter, who had gone back to fishing. He could have rebuked him once, but He did not. Why? Because He knew. So He went to Peter and did not ask anything different. The same words. “Do you love me?” The same. “Feed my lambs.” Why does He say to feed them?

1) Something else

Because many people have been fed something else. Powerful nations grew up eating something else, so all they have is violence, murder, and conquest. Jewish people grew up eating the wrong thing, so they cannot be corrected. And many religious people are clinging to something even more wrong.

2) Imprinting — root (disposition)

Quickly — this is urgent. The point is: imprint the covenant and the gospel on the lambs. Feed them, that is what it means. Because they will take root according to what has been imprinted, and their disposition will form according to how they take root. He pleaded earnestly: “Feed my lambs.”

3) The synagogue

So this covenant went through Paul to every synagogue. Why? Because they had been feeding something else in the synagogues. This is a serious problem, isn’t it? In the synagogues where children gathered, they had been feeding them things that lead to ruin. Paul’s heart was urgent. So he went into the synagogues and pleaded earnestly.

So really, there is no need to think of anything else. They have already been fed something else, I tell you. That is why He said to feed them. How important is this?

All work people do not need to reach many. Just share the gospel with talented people. And so, the headquarters must stop at nothing and call in talented people from 5,000 ethnic groups. Going forward, we will meet with presidents of various nations and make a proposal: please select talented people. We will provide the tuition. There is just one condition: at a certain point in time, allow them to come to Korea for evangelism training. About one year. Then those people will immediately be people who hold the gospel and will cooperate.

So it is fine if one answering church leader each takes responsibility for one person. And in those countries, the tuition is nothing compared to what it costs us. That is why, when the leaders from Vanuatu came this time, we had a meal together. And among the many things I ask, there is always one thing I make sure to ask: “How much is the monthly salary of the workers, the people currently working?” When you ask that, the answer comes right away.

I went to a hotel in Manila, one of the biggest, finest cities in the Philippines. And among those working there were clean, bright-looking young people. They had selected good-looking young people, dressed them neatly in suits, pinned on name tags, and they were working hard. That must have been about 17 years ago. So I asked, “How much are you paid here, what is the monthly salary?” One hundred dollars. One hundred dollars — that is under 100,000 won in Korean money, and they were working for that. Us raising the world? That is not a difficult thing.

The late Elder Park came to me and made a request. “Pastor, please support me with 300,000 won a month.” I asked, “What will you do with it?” He said the monthly salary of a professor among the Karen refugee people is 10,000 won. So he wanted to raise 30 of those professors. That is the scale of it.

That is why world evangelization is not difficult. Raise talented people in the next generation.

3. Matthew 18:1-10

Here, several characteristics appear.

1) The disciples’ concern

The disciples’ concern. What are the disciples doing right now? “Who among us is the greatest?” That is it. And we have a lot of that kind of concern too. And there are many people who are always trying to make themselves stand out. What does that tell you? It is evidence that they themselves have nothing. A person who has true conviction and truly possesses something does not show it off. They do not need to. After all of Jesus’s training, the one thing the disciples end up saying is: “Who among us is the greatest?”

2) A little child

So Jesus said, “In the kingdom of heaven, becoming like a little child is the greatest.” And then, “Do not mistreat these children. To raise children like these is to serve me.” He went that far, and then what did He say?

3) The helping angel

“Do not despise these children. Their angels always see the face of God.” These are words Jesus said directly. The world’s pastors may not believe it, but these are words Jesus said directly. There are angels helping you. It says that your prayers are carried as errands and that they behold the face of God every day. It appears throughout Scripture at important moments.

So you must know how important it is to raise even one child. You must stake your life on it. Before a child graduates elementary school, the gospel must be imprinted. Before they go to middle school, they must be able to pray. Teach them scientifically. You must explain scientifically what happens in the brain when one prays — that is how awakening comes. And you must explain it biblically for them to understand. You must explain it fully through the gospel and spiritually for it to become their own. They do not even know how to pray. If they go out into the world like that, will that be enough?

▣ Conclusion — Life (24)

I will continue speaking about this, but true prayer is something done within life. This is what we mean by 24. Even now, you must be in deep prayer. When you come to worship tomorrow, on Sunday, you must sing hymns and hear the Word from within deep prayer. When Remnant face hardship, it cannot be “What do I do now?” You must study while enjoying the secret of prayer that no one else knows. When you do, that is when you understand prayer.

“Well, is it wrong to go to a mountain and pray?” That is fine. It does not matter at all. But this — the conclusion — must come from within life. When you open your eyes in the morning, there is nothing else to do. You must prepare. Prayer must arise within that. Don’t you need to prepare in the evening? Pastors, don’t you need to prepare your materials? That must happen within deep prayer. And during the day, you meet people. That too must happen within prayer.

So then, what is the standard for concentrating in prayer? There needs to be a standard. So for me, the best thing God has given — it says God breathed the breath of life into us. Jesus breathed out and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” So for you, because the standard is alive, my standard for prayer is breath. When you use breath as your standard, your focus locks in. And it is good for your health too. It is nearly 24. Very good.

We must teach the Remnant to pray. Jesus did not teach preaching, but He did teach prayer.

Prayer. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings, and the infinite love of God, and the working of the Holy Spirit be always together with all the work people who will save the Remnant, and upon the servants of the Lord, from now until eternity. Amen.

Know Your Mission in Your Spiritual Struggles

Acts 10:38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

Scripture reveals the spiritual condition of every person born after the Fall: “under the power of the devil.” This is not merely because of the sins people commit during their lives, but because of the consequences of original sin (Genesis 3:1–6). Through Adam’s fall, sin entered the world, and with sin came death for all humanity:

“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12).

The Bible says that the devil holds the power of death (Hebrews 2:14). Apart from God’s grace, no one can escape the bondage of sin or its eternal consequences. The power of sin manifests itself in every area of life, bringing suffering, separation, curses, disasters, and death (Genesis 3:16–19). Human effort, knowledge, wealth, or power cannot ultimately solve the spiritual problem rooted in sin.

Yet this is precisely why God sent Christ into the world. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to save those who were held captive by darkness. God has now called us to proclaim the finished work of Christ to the nations, just as Jesus went about “doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil” (Acts 10:38). This is our mission in the midst of spiritual warfare.

The One who called us has also given us His unchanging promise: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). We do not fight alone. The risen Christ goes before us, and the Holy Spirit empowers us. With this promise, we are sent into the world to “open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness” (Isaiah 42:7). What an incredible blessing and privilege it is to participate in God’s work of saving lives through the power of the gospel.

We have received the anointing of “the Holy One” (1 John 2:20). Therefore, we go into the world as ambassadors of Christ Jesus our Lord. Wherever the gospel is proclaimed in Jesus’ name, the works of the devil are destroyed (1 John 3:8). Through Christ, people discover the only way back to God (John 14:6), and they are set free from the law of sin and death through His redeeming sacrifice (Mark 10:45).

To carry out this God-given mission faithfully, we must exercise the spiritual authority Christ has entrusted to us (Luke 10:19). Jesus taught that the “strong man” must first be bound (Matthew 12:28–29). God has not left us defenseless in this battle. He has given us spiritual weapons with divine power:

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

Always stay spiritually alert in prayer and engage courageously in the battle against the evil schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11). We are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness that seek to deceive. Therefore, stand your ground in faith. Stand firm in the gospel. Be clothed with the full armor of God and remain prepared at all times for the spiritual battle before you (Ephesians 6:13–17).

Always remain on the offensive through prayer, the Word of God, and the proclamation of the gospel. Do not become spiritually complacent or let your guard down. Resist the devil by the authority God has given you through Jesus Christ, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). The believer does not fight for victory, but from the victory Christ has already won through His death and resurrection.

Our God-given mission is far too important to treat lightly. The eternal destinies of souls are at stake. Countless people remain trapped in darkness, separated from God, and without hope apart from the gospel. This is why we must hold firmly to the mission Christ has entrusted to us. Let us carefully consider what Paul said concerning his life and calling:

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace” (Acts 20:24).

To Paul, the mission of God was worth more than comfort, reputation, possessions, or even life itself. His passion was to finish the race faithfully and proclaim Christ to the very end. And ultimately, he did give his life for the gospel. Although Scripture does not record the exact details of his death, church tradition teaches that Paul was beheaded in Rome under persecution, dying as a faithful martyr of Jesus Christ.

Today, that same mission has been entrusted to us: We have only one name to proclaim:

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

We have only one message to preach:

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18).

And we have only one goal in life:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

This is the purpose of our lives—to glorify God by proclaiming Christ to the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. Whether through our words, prayers, service, suffering, or daily lives, we are called to bear witness to the saving grace of Jesus Christ until the ends of the earth hear the gospel.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for the mission You have given me. Use my life to do good and heal those who are under the power of the devil. Strengthen me to stand firm in spiritual battle and to proclaim the gospel boldly. Thank You for Your constant presence and for the authority You have given through Jesus Christ. May my life be used for Your glory and for the salvation of souls. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
