The Summit Time Schedule

Preschool / Kindergarten Ministers’ Retreat
Theme: 『 The Start Towards Eternity 』 (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

Lecture 3: 『 The Summit Time Schedule 』

Introduction

▶ Children love their parents the most when they are in their infant and toddler years. They especially love fathers who play well with them. Once they graduate from elementary school and reach middle school age, they start to dislike you. It’s not that they dislike you for no reason, but children feel that there are too many differences in opinion. You need to renew yourself quickly, but because you can’t, they think, “My mom and dad just don’t communicate with me,” and they basically give up. One fortunate thing for me is that even though I don’t have much time to talk to my children, there are times we cross paths and have conversations, right? At those times, I remember my children later expressing, “My dad communicates well with me.” So, you can actually do everything during the infant, toddler, and elementary years. After that, it’s not that it’s impossible, but it becomes a different story. This is the “Summit’s Schedule.”

▶ You should take this as a reference: I don’t know what the standard for parents is, but if the parents are highly elite, it is easier for the children to become somewhat elite. The level of the mom and dad is a huge help to the children. I’ve mentioned this before, but there was a 5th or 6th-grade elementary student I was teaching who was so impressive. The child was pretty, kind, and studied well, so the whole church—not just me, but other teachers too—would say, “That child is so lovely.” The child was also very precise and diligent. And when it came to sharing the Gospel, I couldn’t believe how well they received it. But the parents were non-believers. Yet, the child was leading a proper life of faith. One time, for some unknown reason, the mother came to the church. I don’t know if she had to take the child somewhere, but at any rate, she came and asked for the child by name. At that moment, I thought, “Oh!” I hadn’t even spoken to her, but just seeing her come to find her daughter, I knew the moment I saw her that she was highly elite. You can’t know the inside, but that was the feeling. So I felt, “This is where the difference lies.” That’s why we must have a Summit Schedule with the children now. While the church must prepare this, it’s a help if parents just know a little bit about it. What did the Jews mainly do? They have taken over more than a third of the Nobel Prizes.

▶ Introduction- These people mainly conducted three movements.

Together with their children, they did the ① Talent Movement, this is important. This is what the Jews do. Next, they did something to plant the very important Jewish spirit. It’s called ② Kibbutz. That’s how they do it. They plant the best things in the children. Next, what these people do is the ③ Economy Movement. It’s scary. From a young age—we should at least use this as a reference. Even currently, almost all Jewish middle school students are trading stocks. Because they need to know what stocks are, the parents teach the children and do it together. They are that far ahead. This is what they are doing.

1) Talent Movement

(1) Books—Three Books (Word)—So, even though it’s different, because it gives influence, they make them read three books. They are required reading. Talmud, Shema, and Torah—all Jews must read these three. Because of this, something comes out of these three books that allows them to feel their talent. They already start by winning. For these people, these three books are, simply put, absolute books. The Talmud contains a lot of wisdom, doesn’t it? The Shema and Torah are books about the Law, but they still contain a lot.

(2) Great Figures (Christ)—There are many problems, but it’s still tremendous. They must tell at least one story of a great figure every day. This is something we should learn. Tell your children stories of great figures at least once a day. When I used to teach students, I would tell them about one person at a time. Why? Because it helps.

(3) Feasts (Together)—They keep the feasts strictly. Especially the three feasts—how do they do it? The father and children always do it together. They set up tents during these three feasts, right? They set them up together. Things like this become something tremendous.

(4) Sabbath (Worship)—Every year, they value the Sabbath like life itself. Put positively, it’s this: worship. Jews teach this.

(5) Bar Mitzvah (Talent)—Then, around age 13, they discover their talent. It’s called a Bar Mitzvah. This is when they specifically discover their talent. It’s quite intimidating. For this Bar Mitzvah, they gather professionals and do it together. It’s not just “I’m going to do this in the future,” but they gather all those professionals, talk together, and confirm it while listening to them. At this time, the people who attended the Bar Mitzvah give the money they have collected bit by bit to the child. These children call this “Seed Money” and start something. In special cases, some people give their entire estate to the child. Seeing this, they think, “You are definitely going to succeed; I will give the rest of my property to you”—it’s a special case, but those cases exist…

(6) Mission Ceremony (Synagogue)—There is a mission ceremony where they take on complete professionalism. This is mainly at the synagogue. The organization is set up like that.

(7) Sending Ceremony (Lodge)—And then they care for them until they go to the field. It’s the sending ceremony. This is done at the lodge. In this way, the Jews have no gaps. They raise the family from a young age and pick the top elites from within.

2) Kibbutz Movement—Elite

▶ Through this, they plant a strong sense of pride. They plant, “You are Kibbutz.” And even when the Jews lost their country, they made money through this. Simply put, sometimes they lend money and collect a lot of interest—they do things like that.

3) Economy Movement

(1) Finance—These people are doing finance against the whole world.

▶ Simply put, when Britain and Germany went to war, Britain reached out because the Jews had a lot of money. They asked for help, saying, “If you help us, we will help your nation; we will help you be liberated.” So they invested a huge sum. And they won, didn’t they? They won, but those people didn’t keep their promise. It’s not easy to keep. How do they keep it? Germany found out about this. Whether it was that occasion or another, Germany massacred 6 million Jews. This is most closely related to that. In this way, Jews taught the economy. To what extent do they teach? If you read Jewish books, they teach that people with money are people who believe in God well, and people without money are people who believe in God poorly. They teach this way, and they even take children to the mountains and make them grab a tree. With both hands, the father commands them to let go of their hands. They can’t disobey the father’s command, but he’s telling them to let go when they would die if they fell. The child knows that if they let go, they die, right? But since the father says to let go, at that moment, they ask the father to forgive them if they did something wrong. But the father says: “One hand you are holding is Jehovah God, and the other hand you are holding is money.” They teach like that. It’s surprising.

(2) Jewels, Gold—In this way, they took over all profitable commerce in the world, like jewels and gold. There are expensive jewels, aren’t there? Especially gold, because it’s the same as money. For example, when a developing country asks the U.S. to lend them money, there is a standard. They don’t just lend it. What is the standard when lending? “How much of your country’s gold have you secured? I’ll lend to you based on that; if you can’t pay it back, you can just bring the gold.” It’s at that level.

(3) Stocks—Now they are digging into this side with complete professionalism.

▶ We must absolutely use this as a reference. We must make children read books that give them strength. And we must make them read stories of great figures that give them strength. And they must absolutely find the answer through the Word and find the answer through Christ. We are different. We must let them know the true meaning of the three feasts. And we must teach the Bartizan/Journey/Guidepost prayer that Jesus taught. Then “Only/Uniqueness/Re-creation” will come out. That is our answer. So, looking far ahead, we start the preparation from the infant and toddler years.

Main

So if you have time, it’s good to do three things for sure. ① Prayer that revives the foundation, this is what we call “Summit Time.” It would be good to have this. Also, ② Prayer that revives the routine of life—since we have to make them Summits anyway. We will teach things like the Summit posture in our infant and toddler Sunday school, but if the parents understand this, it’s a huge help. Finally, ③ Prayer that revives the future—it’s good to teach at least this much. Preparing the Summit vessel. It’s so good to tell them this.

1. Prayer that revives the foundation—“Summit Time”

▶ Doing prayer that revives the foundation together with children is, in some ways, very difficult. Once your child goes to middle school, it’s impossible. If they’ve gone to high school or college, it’s forever impossible. Once they get married and start a household, you’re lucky if you aren’t being chased away. That’s how the situation becomes. You have to do it during the infant and toddler years. This is when you can plant everything. So, wouldn’t doing it every day be a bit difficult? But by setting a special day—in my view, Sunday is the best. On Sunday, have a designated Summit Time. So in their heads, they think, “On Sunday, we wake up a bit early and prepare to go to church; I do it with Dad, and the whole family does it together”—this is also fine. There are many parents who look down on the Lord’s Day, but that is giving the children such bad education. It’s not just saying “it’s good to keep the Lord’s Day,” right? Mom and dad break the Lord’s Day over something trivial. Then what happens to the children’s lives? That is the worst way to educate. So they should think, “My mom and dad think the Lord’s Day is so important.” Have Summit Time on that day at least. At that time, you can talk to the children about specific things.

(1) Brain—You should go a bit professionally into how to revive the brain and why it must be revived.

(2) Spirit (Soul)—Next, why do we worship and pray on Sunday? How do I revive my spirit?

(3) Body (Eternal)—How should I revive my body? It looks like the body, but talk about the things that are connected to the eternal.

▶ So for this hour of having Summit Time, I think the best thing is to simply teach breathing prayer. Then the brain, the body, and everything is revived. You have to tell children from a young age for it to be imprinted. Because it’s such a good thing, you can just do it together with the children while having Summit Time. It’s also fine when children say they feel a bit sick. Do it together—simply put, after my granddaughter caught COVID-19, a problem arose with her platelets. If there’s a problem with platelets, you die. It’s a serious problem, right? There was no way. They went to the hospital, and I intentionally explained it. I said to pray together, and intentionally do breathing together. I told them that just breathing in and out properly while praying for about 30 minutes would have a tremendous effect—it really did. She is almost completely cured now. It works. “Hey, if you want to study well, this (brain) has to come alive, and you do this when you pray”—then you end up teaching them all the important things. You are praying while enjoying the Bartizan/Journey/Guidepost that Jesus taught—that is Summit Time!

2. Prayer that revives the routine of life

▶ This is slightly changing the routine into life.

(1) Morning—”This is what you do in the morning when you are alone, even for a moment. You know what you did with Dad? Do it for a moment. On Sunday you do it with Mom and Dad, but on Monday you just do it by yourself—just for 5 minutes!”

(2) Day—”And do it together briefly during the day when it’s important or when it’s hard!”

(3) Night—”Do it for about 5 minutes at night before you sleep.” You are teaching something tremendous. It’s okay if it’s not put into practice at first. The fact that the children did it once is what’s important. Doing it once during childhood is better than an adult doing it for 10 years. You must raise children as Summits like this. How good is it?

3. Prayer that revives the future—“Preparing the Summit Vessel”

▶ Then you prepare them for this. If you continue this prayer, three things come. These are discovered.

(1) Talent

(2) Specialization

(3) Globalization

▶ Since talent is given by God, then you make it specialized through continuous prayer and having Summit time, and later, before you go out into the world, you become globalized. You have to make them draw this picture in advance. From when? From the infant and toddler years, when it’s best to be imprinted, within the schedule that never disappears, they go toward the Summit. Children will definitely change even if you just do it once in a while. That is the characteristic of children. So some children might be completely clueless but then go to a retreat and encounter something—they change. Some children go to a Summer school and change. The problem is the host who provides that, isn’t it? Some children go to a Winter school and the child changes. It happens like that. So before they pass into middle/high school too much, infant/toddler and elementary are the answer. Imprint the Gospel properly here. It will never disappear. If you imprinted the wrong thing at this time, it’s a disaster. Imprint what proper healing is at this time. Imprint what the Summit is.

Conclusion

(1) Teacher

(2) Parent

(3) Remnant

▶ If we call the trinity of this Summit training the church teacher, parent, and Remnant—don’t even think about many things; because it will definitely come out later, we do it now. So if the Gospel is correctly imprinted now, even people who have completely collapsed will be revived. As a representative example, someone like Helen Keller, whom you know well, was a person who couldn’t use her body, but one teacher did it continuously. So what is the principle? The things inside her were overturned. Infants and toddlers, needless to say, are the eternal start that determines their whole life.

▶ So this time, this year, our parents should think about it a bit too. Teachers, of course, must prepare properly, but parents should feel “This is the time I must have now; me properly enjoying the Gospel and receiving answers is naturally the first task of our family.” Knowing what healing is in this age is your mission. Making our Remnants into Summits is our remaining task. So this infant and toddler retreat will be an important schedule for obtaining the lifelong answer. I will pray.

Prayer. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings, the infinite love of God, and the powerful works of the Holy Spirit be upon all infant and toddler teachers, parents, and Remnants, from now and forevermore. Amen.
