The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
…Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
…Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
…Born of the Virgin Mary,
…Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
…Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
…And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,

Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. 13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

1. What is the Covenant?
(1) The Word of the Bible = The Word of Promise
(2) The theme of the Bible (John 5:39, Luke 24:27, Luke 24:44)
(3) The purpose of recording the Bible (John 20:31)
(4) God’s will (Matthew 6:10, John 6:39-40)
(5) God’s desire (John 3:16, 1 Timothy 2:4)
(6) The core of the Covenant = Christ + The Kingdom of God
(7) The Word of the Bible is not something to keep, but something God fulfills
2. We are people of Covenant Faith
(1) The person who will realize God’s will and God’s Kingdom
(2) The protagonist of history and the universe
(3) The concentration of all of God’s interests
(4) God’s perfect guidance and preparation
(5) Prayer toward the field, people, and posterity
(6) The genealogy of the Covenant, the delivery of the Covenant
3. Must pray while holding onto the promise
(1) Must enter into God’s Covenant time schedule
(2) The answer of Christ and the direction toward the Kingdom of God
(3) Must organize prayer topics within the Word
(4) My greed, ambition, and desires are not prayer topics
(5) Not a prayer to receive an answer, but the answer has already come
