Lecture 02: 『 What Kind of Blessings Will You Receive Tomorrow? 』 (Acts 2:17-18)
In Lecture 1 we looked at what is happening right now. God’s bartizan continues even now.
Lecture 2 is “What blessings will we receive tomorrow?” If we make good use of Lecture 1 and pray, this (Acts 2:17-18) will come forth. Simply put, we come to see things to come. Then it becomes easy.
Things others cannot see – excitement, conviction, gratitude
Things others cannot see
Excitement, conviction, gratitude
This characteristic leads to seeing what others cannot see. This was the characteristic of the 7 Remnant. They saw what the adults could not see. At the field, God will reveal it. They saw what the king of that nation could not see. This is the first and extremely important answer that you and the congregation will receive. When you see this, three things emerge. I am about to go to the field, and I am going – and I feel excited. That is how it should be; you should not feel burdened. When you see this clearly, you feel excited. We must create the conditions for the congregation to receive this blessing. Evangelism is important, but you must be able to see this. Then this comes forth. You must have conviction. Then what comes out naturally is this – gratitude cannot help but come. Someone who has been in the faith a long time, yet goes to church and no gratitude comes out. Why? Because they have not seen it. Human beings, no matter how excellent, when they see something good, they speak about it. When evidence keeps coming to me, I cannot help but speak to others about it. And from within that, this (excitement, conviction, gratitude) emerges.
Introduction – A clear picture
So now we are entering this second stage. You have a clear picture. This is what will happen to you. In business, in studies, in evangelism – a clear picture emerges. As a brief reference, it is good to look at a few things in order to see a clear picture.
1) Golden fishing ground – new believers
It is a golden fishing ground. You cannot take in the entire golden fishing ground at once. But the way I see the golden fishing ground is by looking here – in new believers. Among new believers, some simply came on their own. Some came along with others. Some are not yet in God’s timetable. Those people will inevitably waver. That is not because an associate pastor did something wrong and so they waver. The elders not knowing, the associate pastor being inadequate – that is not why the congregation wavers. Those who waver were always going to waver, and those who do not waver were never going to waver. The coach who trained the famous wrestler Lee Man-gi said it: those who are going to make it will make it, and those who are not will not. He said technique is secondary. You have to find someone who is meant for wrestling – and that is found among new believers. When we talk about the golden fishing ground, people think they need to go somewhere to find it – but it does not work that way. This is it – new believers. Two new believers came from a dormitory, and when I looked at them, they were people of calling. Their eyes lit up, and so did mine. This is what God had prepared. These young people ended up raising 300 disciples. Even I was amazed.
2) Blind spot – mind, heart, thoughts
The blind spot is every place that is dead, but when you try to penetrate those blind spots, there are people whose mind, heart, or thoughts are somewhat sick. You must not approach this as though pointing out their sin. You must encourage them and help them. I said something to a certain doctor once. I kept doing evangelism at that hospital, and for the first time, this person came to me and greeted me. He said this team seemed a little different. I said to that doctor, “Doctor, you are a wonderful person, but there is one problem.” He was startled and asked what the problem was. He thought I was talking about the hospital. I said the problem was that he does not know God. He laughed too. Such people are everywhere.
3) Disaster zone – religion
Where is the disaster zone? You could say it is religion. Places of idol worship, places where tremendous spiritual problems have come. Taken together, this is religion. A special disaster is bound to come upon such places. We begin by looking at these and penetrating into them.
4) The sick – Nephilim
After that, there are many sick people. There are also people who do not improve even with hospital care. We need to focus on them.
5) People of the past – calling
There are two more important ones. The first is people of the past. What does that mean? When someone goes to the military, plant a calling in them and send them. With doctors, it depends on the doctor. Plant a calling when they are becoming a doctor. Plant a calling in elites before they become judges and prosecutors. I always tell them: there are many doctors, but there are no doctors who know Christ – that is why you must do it. There are many lawyers, but there are no lawyers who truly know Christ. They understand in just a few words.
6) People of the future – problems
The next is people of the future. All of these are fishing grounds. What do people of the future mean? They have already succeeded. These are even easier. They have succeeded, but something is not working. I graduated from Harvard, graduated at the top, and yet a spiritual problem has come upon me – it gets through easily. They understand quickly. Before, there was one Harvard professor who kept coming to our gatherings – I heard he passed away. Now, what did he specialize in? He specialized in Korean studies. We went together at that time, didn’t we? When I went and looked, he had more materials on Korea than we did. Of course – it was Harvard. So I sat across from him and drew out the path of our salvation and explained it to him. He had succeeded, but the next thing was not coming together. The people here are all people of great influence.
7) People of calling
And even more important – regardless of all the above, there are people of calling. There are simply people of calling. I have seen this twice in Busan. The first time, someone who was involved in a house church meeting but left over a power struggle. A female evangelist at that church – she is a person of calling. Clean in appearance, quiet, a complete person of calling. One person rescues hundreds. One person – because this pastor uses humanism, wondering if perhaps they might come to our church – that friend needs to receive the message, so in tremendous emotion she follows around trying to hear the message. I did not like that. Something similar happened once in Gyeonggi Province. It was a large church where a revival meeting was held. The elders received grace, the church received grace, everyone received grace. But there too, one female evangelist was causing a move of the Spirit. And then a problem broke out in the church. What problem? The church council members’ prayer topic was for their senior pastor to leave. They had already decided he would leave and then held the revival meeting. And during the meeting, grace was received. The church was visibly coming alive. So the pastor gained strength. He was supposed to leave but did not. The elders really need to think carefully about this. Fights break out over such things. You will know which church it is. Keeping all of this in mind, we penetrate in.
1. The Beginning of 777 Prayer
So first, there is this 777 prayer.
1) First – joy, happiness, strength
What must come first here? When I truly pray this, I must feel joy. Those for whom that has not happened have not yet been healed, so they need to find a way to enjoy this joy. When you open your eyes in the morning – or if you are doing this prayer at night – you feel so happy. And then what? Strength comes. Without fail. This must come first.
2) Renewal
Then a tremendous renewal becomes visible.
(1) Acts 1:3 – What renewal becomes visible? Acts 1:3. There is no crowd there. Only disciples. The before and after are completely different. When your congregation enters into this, their eyes must open wide. Everything before is gone. That is unnecessary; only this remains – the disciples. With these, God changes the world.
(2) Acts 11:19 – The second renewal. The church at Antioch. They are still arguing over the law. Does that make sense? Whether it was right or wrong to go to Cornelius’s house and eat – that kind of thing. How can you evangelize the world like that? God set His direction toward Antioch.
(3) Galatians 2:11-20 – And then these Jews follow them around and obstruct them. That is Galatians 2:11-20. What Paul said: why are you teaching Jewish things? Why do you tell others to do what even you yourselves cannot do? Isn’t circumcision not a condition for salvation? Haven’t we been crucified and died on the cross? Does not Christ live within us? Do we not live by that faith? It is a message that brings an enormous renewal. The people who understood this message were the ones who evangelized the world.
3) 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
In 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 we see what we must always do. It says why the congregation is precious, why servants of the Lord are precious, and what we must always do. In verse 19 it says do not quench the Spirit. Among them, what anyone can readily know: always rejoice, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances. This prayer must come first.
2. The Choice of 7 Journeys
From this point, the choice of 7 journeys emerges. Because all of these are answers, we receive answers before evangelizing. Even before I have made up my mind to evangelize, I already gain strength. The church comes alive. That is how it must be.
1) The 3 flow points
So, when it comes alive like this, an important thing remains – choice. Is not our journey walking the path that the Triune God is fulfilling? That is right. In that, there are 3 flow points. We must grasp these. We must not all evangelize the same way. There are 3 flow points. It is not about grasping the same things from the pastor’s sermon. There is a point that comes upon me. I cannot pray at all – that too is a point. Right? Then we must start there. The word is not being fulfilled in me at all – that too is a point. I have absolutely no thought of evangelism – that too is a point. Then we must start there. This is extremely important.
2) The footstool of the throne (absolute)
The 10 things of the footstool of the throne – we must choose these at all times. If you put the 10 things of the footstool of the throne into one word, what is it? Absolute. Choose that.
3) The secret of the throne (winning without fighting)
There are also 10 secrets of the throne. What is the key here? How should we choose? We must choose all 10, but in one word – winning without fighting. We won without fighting. And we save everyone else too. That is the key of the 10 secrets.
4) The conviction of the throne (reality)
And then there are 5 convictions of the throne. What are these? The key is not being deceived by reality. We need to be victorious but we get deceived by reality. It says He gives only trials we can bear, and He also gives the strength to overcome them. So the person who faces great difficulty is a large vessel. Someone with no difficulties at all may seem fortunate, but they are a small vessel.
5) The flow of the throne (source)
What is the fifth? The very important 9 flows of the throne. All of this is the throne. We go by this power. The most important thing here? The source. We have obtained the source of the spring. Then even if all the water is blocked off, it is fine.
6) The lifelong answer of the throne (delivery)
Here the lifelong answer of the throne comes. What is the important word there? Receiving this lifelong answer and giving it out. That is what we go to do.
7) The camp of the throne (meaning)
And finally, our gathering here today is the camp of the throne. Camp – what is the most important thing about a camp? In spiritual terms it is radiating light, but what is the key that we must enjoy? It is meaning. Why are you here? That is it. That is what appears today as the camp – why must I worship at this church? We have talked about this so that we can hold on to the journey. Next month: how must the Remnant hold on to the bartizan, and how must they walk the journey? How must the Remnant set up guideposts? That is so important. You must now catch this and pass it on.
3. 24/25/Eternity – “Stage 2 of Evangelism”
And now from here emerges the stage 2 camp called 24/25/Eternity. Stage 1 camp is about receiving answers first. That has already been grasped. Now stage 2 comes. From this point, evangelism success begins to take place.
1) Acts 13:5-11, Acts 16:16-18, Acts 19:8-20
Breaking darkness. Healing the demon-possessed. Healing the incurably ill. These things happened.
2) Acts 17:1, Acts 18:4, Acts 19:8
We only need to focus here, but that was not where it ended. They went into the synagogue. It is urgent. We must quickly plant it in the young adults. They cannot even pray and yet they are out in the field. And they do not know what an answer is. The answer comes from this first. The kingdom of God…
3) The aftermath of Nephilim
So in a word, Paul healed the diseases related to Nephilim, the culture related to Nephilim, the aftermath related to Nephilim. That is all Paul did. He could not help but receive blessing. Paul, as we said in Lecture 1, did stage 1 well. So each of you is a precious person right now. Therefore you must receive guidance. If not guidance, then you simply do not go.
Conclusion
So what conclusion do we draw from all this? Just a few simple things are needed.
1) Do not judge – truth is elsewhere
The simplest thing is: do not judge hastily. Do not judge yourself hastily either. Because God has His work to do. Why? Because truth is elsewhere.
2) Do not be deceived – self, world, Satan
There is a second thing to do. When we go right out, our situation is as it is. Do not be deceived. If you are deceived, it is all in vain. Who deceives you? You deceive yourself. Out in the world you are deceived again. And will Satan sit still? We are deceived in these three places. Do not be deceived.
3) Blessing – prepared
The next important thing: receive blessing first. Why? Because God has prepared it. So it is fine even if you have nothing. Do not take a staff with you – to that degree – do not take extra sandals either, do not take a money bag either – that is your wallet. Leave it behind and go – Jesus said it to this extent.
Churches not yet self-supporting (12 locations of evangelism branch churches), self-supporting churches (3 courtyards)
So today, if any of you feel that your church is not yet self-supporting, then from today, starting from Lecture 1 with that message exactly as given – simply establish 12 evangelism branch churches. As much as possible, except for specially gifted evangelists, make sure that your church members do not exert outside influence. Apart from someone to work alongside like Tychicus, there is little else needed. Let it arise from here – it will be somewhat surprising. Do not rush; receive complete guidance from the Holy Spirit. And the method is through the work of the Holy Spirit – go like this. This is the stage 2 camp. And if your church is a bit more self-supporting, then from now on unconditionally create three courtyards. That is the key. Churches that do not have this are the ones that close their doors. There is no need to rush in building these either. You must go in the same way through stages 1, 2, and 3. Then God will send the disciples of the 237. Then He sends disciples to the 5,000 tribes over there, and God works such that one person can save an entire nation. So if the church leaders hold on to this covenant, God will bless their work. We raise them up with that work. We raise up people of many nations. Especially raising up talented people. When we call young adults from developing nations in the future, the nuance of “your nation is a developing country so you should receive some help” is not good. You must say “you are a capable person of calling, and that is why we are calling you.” That way, even when they receive help, their self-respect is not wounded. We must plant that firmly and send them out. We will take a short break and then do Lecture 3.
