In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach 2 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. 3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

1. It was prophesied in the Bible.
1) He would come as the son of a carpenter 3) Crucified on the cross 2) Not the son of man but the Son of God

2. The word Satan fears the most
1) Genesis 3:15 the offspring of the woman – Christ will come and destroy the authority of Satan
2) Exodus 3:18 the blood sacrifice – Exodus 12:12 the day the blood of the lamb was applied, the exodus (liberation)
3) Isaiah 7:14 Immanuel, who neutralizes Satan, binds calamity, and destroys the authority of hell
3. The message of the risen Christ on Mt Olive – We know the covenant, so why does it not come to pass?
▣ Main_ Experiences concerning Christ
1. The experience of the early church
1) The experience of the risen Christ – experiencing the work that arises in the name of Christ (the end)
2) Christ, who gave each individual the absolute mission to save the world
3) After finding the mission, the promised fullness of the Holy Spirit came.
(1) Peter – “Rise up and walk in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 3:1-12).
(2) Philip, who experienced Christ, wholeheartedly explained Christ in Samaria – works of healing (Acts 8:4-8)
(3) Philip, who met the Ethiopian eunuch following the direction of the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:26-40)
2. Paul’s experience
1) Paul, who experienced Christ – all doubts and problems resolved (Acts 9:1-15)
2) Paul, trained at the church in Antioch (Acts 11:25-30)
3) Paul, sent out as the first missionary (Acts 13:1-4)
4) Everything was 3 camps – Asia, Macedonia, Rome
(1) Camp 1 – guidance of the Holy Spirit (2) Camp 2 – waiting until the Nephilim come to an end

▣ Conclusion_ A better experience – the Holy Spirit
1. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit (John 14:16, 26, 16:13) – to be with us forever, to teach us all things and bring them to remembrance, to guide us into truth and let us know things to come
2. Acts 1:4-8 wait for what was promised – the baptism of the Holy Spirit – power, witnesses
3. 1 Corinthians 12:3 no one can confess that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
▷ The Holy Spirit will guide the Remnant. That is why we are told to pray.
