Remnants Who Are Called for Pastoral Ministry
(Acts 9:1-15)
Summary
RTS’s second prayer is the culture war. It concerns who the Remnant who will pastor in the future will be. So we search for such people throughout the world.
Acts 9:10 – church leader, businessperson / Acts 9:15 – RT’s role
▣ Introduction
1. Beginning – relationship (not calculation)
We must be careful at the very start. We must be careful when sending students to our RTS, and when selecting RTS members worldwide. For example, Shincheonji members or frauds could infiltrate at any time. So we must raise up tremendously prepared people from God. We must seek out people worldwide whose relationship with God is established, not calculating people. Going forward, such RTS institutions must be built overseas as well.
2. Motive – (not success-seeker) → evangelizing disciple
Motive is also very important. It’s not about trying to succeed at something. It’s about becoming an evangelizing disciple. If we find such people, that itself accomplishes great missions without even going abroad.
3. 300% – true elites are those prepared at 300%.
▣ Main_ Figures who embodied all three of these things appeared.
1 Samuel 1:9-11 – Samuel. All three are included in him.
2 Kings 2:9-11 – Elisha. All three are included in him as well.
Isaiah 6:1-13 – those who grasped this covenant were Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Esther.
Acts 1:8 – when Jesus said “the ends of the earth,” He wasn’t only speaking to those sitting there, but referring to the disciples we will raise.
Acts 9:1-15 – here appears a truly important and fitting figure — Paul.

“The Remnant Who Must Be Pastored” (Acts 9:1-15)
Our second RTS prayer is the culture war. It’s about who the Remnant who will pastor in the future will be. So we’re searching worldwide, in our own country, for people like this one (Acts 9:1-15).

Our church leaders and businesspeople play this role (Acts 9:10), and our Remnants play this role (Acts 9:15).
▣ Introduction
1. Beginning – Relationship
So we must be careful at the very beginning. We must exercise great caution when sending students to our RTS. We must also be careful when selecting RTS members worldwide. For example, when a Shincheonji member uses the Upper Room network to try to get ordained as a pastor, they could infiltrate at any time, right? Also fakes — they could infiltrate any time. So we must be extremely careful about this. Put positively, we must raise up truly prepared people of God. Not calculating people. We must seek out worldwide those whose relationship with God is established. This matters greatly, because in Korea we can generally tell, but overseas, we don’t know — those foreign people. Going forward we must build many such RTS institutions overseas, and the first and most important thing (relationship) is this.
2. Motive
And this motive is also extremely important. Beginning matters, but motive matters just as much. So it’s not about trying to succeed at something.

We must raise up many RTS students, but not to become some kind of success-seeker. There are too many people like that, so this (calculation, success-seeking) is not it. It’s about becoming an evangelizing disciple. If we find such people, we win. In a sense, you accomplish great missions even without going abroad.
3. 300%
So then what is a true elite? Someone prepared at 300%.

When Jesus said “the ends of the earth,” He wasn’t only speaking about those sitting there. In some sense, when Jesus said “the ends of the earth,” He wasn’t referring to those sitting there. Right? Any “ends of the earth” now applies to you, but that’s not entirely it either — He was referring to the disciples you will raise up. That is what going to the ends of the earth means. It must be exactly like this (introduction). One should not be calculating or motivated by something.

Unless these three things settle into the heart, the answer doesn’t come. The person themselves matters, but the prayers of the parents, of the Lord’s servants, and of church leaders must already be embedded for history to happen. So today’s Friday-Saturday gathering is an extremely important schedule for the three-day weekend age. This is the time for God’s kingdom to come to the places connected to you. Let us pray.
