When Jesus Becomes Your True King

We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. (1 John 5:18)

When Jesus becomes your True King, no one can touch you, even the devil. Your King Jesus will hold you securely. Nothing can change your position in Christ. When you believed Jesus is the Christ, God gave you the right to become children of God. No one can steal your right as a child of God.

No one can snatch you from the hands of your King Jesus and your Father: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” (John 10:28-29).

No one can take away the eternal life that is in you. No one can remove your name from the Book of Life. No one can undo what your King Jesus has done: “By his death, he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil” (Heb 2:14). Your former father, the devil, has lost grip on you. You no longer have to listen to his lies and serve him.

You may feel powerless against the evil schemes of your enemy, but your King Jesus will establish you and guard you against the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). In Christ, when you are weak, you are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10).

You may fear failing, but your King Jesus will rescue you from every evil deed and safely bring you into his heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). When you fall, He will lift you up and strengthen you. So, don’t be afraid; no weapon turned against you will succeed, and every voice raised to accuse you will be silenced (Isaiah 54:17).

When the devil accuses you of wrongdoings (Job 1:9-11, Revelation 12:10), your King Jesus prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemy (Psalm 23:5). So, stop dwelling on your failures, but start celebrating the victory of your King over the enemy.

Are you still struggling with a practice of sinning instilled by the devil? Don’t worry. Your King Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, lives in you and works powerfully through the Holy Spirit. He has forgiven all your sins and will strengthen you so you won’t continue to sin.

So now, armed with God’s promise of victory, engage in the spiritual battles “against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

Whenever the devil advances against you, he will lose again. So, don’t be afraid. The devil is the one who should be afraid of you who believe in the name of the True King Jesus.

Resist the devil. Always be on the offensive. Do not let your guard down. Always stay alert in prayer. In your spiritual struggles, “you will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent” (Psalm 91:13).

Do not give up or be discouraged. The peace of God will soon crush Satan under your feet (Romans 16:20), so go and proclaim the victory of your King Jesus to all nations!

Prayer. Lord Jesus, You are my True King who broke the power of the devil who holds the power of death. Because You live in me through the Holy Spirit, I claim Your victory as my victory over the enemy in my life today. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I may proclaim the message of victory to those living under the power of the devil. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Calling

Mark 3:13-15. Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out demons.

As Jesus once called His disciples by name, He has also called you because He wanted you. This call was not initiated by your effort or merit. Jesus clearly said, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last” (John 15:16). Before you did anything for Him, He chose you simply to be with Him.

But how is Jesus with you today? He is with you by confirming His Word in your life—showing you that His promises never fail. He is with you by carrying out the work of the Christ, destroying the power of Satan, sin, and hell. He is with you through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, who helps you live as a witness of Christ to the ends of the earth.

Through Christ, the presence of the Triune God has become a reality in you. The kingdom of God has come upon you. The heavenly throne is now your spiritual background. When you truly believe in this spiritual reality, you begin to enjoy every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. You no longer live as one who is weak, lost, or insignificant, but as one called by God, filled with power, purpose, and heavenly authority.

When you are with Jesus, He transforms your life. Just like Peter and John, who were considered unschooled and ordinary men, God will use you in extraordinary ways. Scripture records, “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13). What made them stand out was not their education or background but the undeniable evidence that they had been with Jesus.

When you are with Jesus, your eyes will open to the spiritual reality around you. You will see that the real battle is not against flesh and blood but against the forces of darkness that deceive the world. You will understand that only the gospel can break these powers and bring true healing and restoration. God has called you to be sent out to preach this gospel. Evangelism is simply testifying how Jesus has been with you and how His presence changed your life.

Many believers today misunderstand evangelism. Some think it is only for trained pastors, missionaries, or those with a special calling. But evangelism is not a performance or a skill. It is a natural result of receiving eternal life. If the blood of Christ has truly saved you, then sharing the gospel is simply introducing Jesus to others still living under the power of sin and Satan. This is why evangelism is one of the greatest blessings God has given to us.

Satan knows the power of evangelism, and he fears it. That is why he works hard to discourage and distract believers from sharing the gospel. But the early church, even under severe persecution, did not back down. They did not pray for an easier life but for boldness to continue proclaiming the message of Christ. Acts 4:31 tells us, “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

It is important to discover and enjoy the form of evangelism that fits your daily life. Begin by asking God to open a door for your gospel message so that you may proclaim the mystery of Christ with clarity and power (Colossians 4:2). See every person and every meeting as a divine appointment. Be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you have in Christ (1 Peter 3:15), and do so with gentleness and respect. Follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and speak at the right time.

Jesus gave you authority over evil spirits because the whole world is under the influence of the evil one (1 John 5:19). In Jesus’ name, you can drive out demons who have taken hold of people’s minds and hearts. The name of Jesus is more powerful than any force of darkness. As Philippians 2:10 declares, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” His name has the power to bring all things under His control (Philippians 3:21).

You have received the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). God will protect you and deliver you from harm. He desires to use you to bring healing to those suffering from physical and spiritual affliction. He will give you the wisdom to proclaim the gospel across all nations, cultures, and languages. His angel armies will go before you and surround you.

Jesus is calling you to follow Him with urgency. When you say yes to His call, you will influence the world through the power of the gospel. Nothing is more urgent than helping someone come to know Christ. Nothing is more important than praying for disciples who will carry this message to the ends of the earth. Nothing is more fulfilling than taking part in the Great Commission in our generation.

God will bring healing and restoration to this world through your life. He will be with you wherever you go, working through you and confirming His Word with signs and power (Mark 16:20). As you proclaim the gospel, the message of the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored (2 Thessalonians 3:1).

Prayer. Father, throughout this day, I desire to live a single-minded life for Christ and a wholehearted life for the gospel. Help me to continue walking in faith as an evangelist in every place You send me. Help me enjoy Your presence in all circumstances. In the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce all evil spirits completely. I exercise the authority given to me by Your Word and command all darkness in my mission field to flee. I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

From Useless to Useful

Philemon 1:10-11. I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains. 11 Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me.

Paul wrote this letter to his old friend and disciple Philemon on behalf of Onesimus (whose name means “useful”), a runaway slave who had once been far from living up to his name. While in a Roman prison, Onesimus encountered Paul, heard the gospel, and became a follower of Christ. Now a changed man, he made the decision to return to his master and make things right. In his letter, Paul pleads with Philemon to receive Onesimus not as a slave, but as a beloved brother in Christ—assuring him that Onesimus is now truly “useful.”

Like Onesimus, we were all once useless—living under the dominion of sin and the power of the devil. But God, in His mercy, made us useful again. Through Jesus Christ, we have been given a new life, a new identity, new freedom, a new purpose, a new hope, and a new future.

Every time we worship and pray, the Triune God—through the Word, the Christ, and the Holy Spirit—works powerfully in us. When we believe in this spiritual reality, we will see the Word fulfilled in our lives, the curse of sin and death broken, and the power of the Holy Spirit equipping us to stand firm as Christ’s witnesses in our mission fields.

So remember: when you are in Christ, you are useful to the kingdom of God. Do not allow your past—however broken, shameful, or wasted it may seem—to define you. No matter how far you have fallen like Onesimus, God can lift you up with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

No matter how shattered your life may be, the Word of God can heal and restore you. No matter how uncertain your future looks, God can lead you into a future filled with hope and purpose.

The gospel you have received is complete, sufficient, and eternal (Psalm 23:1–6). Therefore, fix your eyes not on your circumstances, but on God’s unchanging covenant. Don’t let anything steal the peace of God that transcends all understanding. God will soon crush Satan under your feet (Romans 16:20).

Just as God sent Jesus as the Christ to reconcile you to Himself, He is now sending you to bring others back to Him. To fulfill this calling, God has entrusted you with the message of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19). Paul wrote a letter of reconciliation on behalf of Onesimus. Today, you are writing the message of reconciliation with your life and your words.

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). The way we treat others—especially those who are lost, broken, or overlooked—matters deeply to God. So go. Share the message of reconciliation with those still living as enemies of God. Let the gospel turn their hearts back to Him. Help make their lives useful again.

Prayer. Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to make me useful again. Turn my heart toward those in need of Your grace. May the gospel I share lead others to reconciliation and new life in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The 24-Hour Prayer

Psalm 23:1-6

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Who is the God you believe in? For David, God was his Shepherd. Just as sheep cannot survive without a shepherd, David confessed that he could do nothing apart from Him.

David’s constant awareness of God’s presence brought about the finest moments even in the darkest hours of his life. It didn’t matter whether he was lying in green pastures beside quiet waters or walking through the valley of the shadow of death—being with God was all he needed and all he desired.

He had full assurance that nothing in the world could harm him. David discovered his own way of enjoying the presence of God—in the morning (Psalm 5:3), at noontime (Psalm 23:1–6), and in the evening (Psalm 17:3)—all day long, 24/7. When alone, he gained spiritual strength through meditation on the Word. He completely trusted God and prepared for the future in His presence.

Prayer can move the throne of God, which transcends time and space. And yet, we live in an age when many of God’s children do not realize the power of prayer or how to enjoy it. Meanwhile, many religious organizations have effectively promoted their own spiritual practices—such as transcendental meditation—as a way to access supernatural power.

Does this mean our prayers are weaker than theirs? Does it mean we, as children of God, lack the power to overcome the world?
Absolutely not.
The Word of God is alive and powerful—it can change anything (Hebrews 4:12). That’s why it is vital to quietly reflect on and meditate upon God’s Word daily. This is the mystery of 24-hour prayer: experiencing God’s presence throughout every moment of your day.

As we meditate on the Word, God heals the scars deeply rooted in our hearts. We begin to experience the greatest joy and happiness. He also strengthens us to pray, and in doing so, we begin to hear His heavenly mandate, understand His calling, and embrace the lifelong mission He has prepared for us.

When you enjoy 24-hour prayer, you will begin to recognize God’s perfect timing in all things. Like David—who enjoyed God’s presence continually—you will be able to acknowledge God’s sovereignty and confess your faith even in your darkest hours.

This is the power and blessing that await you in 24-hour prayer. It’s a blessing you don’t want to miss. Experience eternal blessings here and now through prayer. As David did, walk with the Lord throughout your day!

Prayer. Father, I thank You for the incredible privilege of being with You 24/7. Like David, I desire to experience Your presence all throughout the day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Assurance of Victory

1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Nothing happens by accident in the lives of those whom God has chosen. Today’s Word reminds us that God allows temptations and trials in our lives—not to harm us, but to bless us. Yet in the midst of hardship, we often wonder why these things are happening, and we doubt God’s presence and His unfailing love.

We try to make sense of suffering through our own standards. Sometimes, we even interpret our circumstances as punishment from God, without knowing the hidden purpose He has planned—something far greater than we could imagine.

We assume our present situation must improve in order to be called a blessing, not realizing it may be the very circumstance through which we experience God’s power. Because of this misunderstanding, we grow discouraged and even give up on our covenant journey.

Take Joseph, for example. God sent him to Egypt as a slave—not as a punishment, but as part of a divine plan. His false accusation and imprisonment were not failures; they were necessary steps arranged by God, including the crucial meeting with Pharaoh’s officials. Eventually, Joseph was appointed governor of Egypt to save many lives during a great famine.

God was with Joseph through it all—from his mother’s death to slavery, to prison, and ultimately to the palace. None of those trials were curses; they were hidden blessings. But when we go through our own difficulties, we often mislabel God’s pathway of blessing as a curse. May God open our spiritual eyes to see His perfect plans.

Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Because of our King Jesus, we are not victims—we are victors.

Do not be deceived by your present circumstances. You will emerge as a winner. That’s what your Heavenly Father longs to see. God delights in your victory—when you triumph over the enemy and the world. After putting on every piece of God’s armor and engaging in the spiritual battle, you will still be standing firm (Ephesians 6:13). That is what brings glory to God.

Never underestimate your faith in Christ. Only those who truly believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, can overcome the world and see the final victory (1 John 5:4). And remember: if God is for you, no one can stand against you (Romans 8:31).

God’s “foolishness” is wiser than your best wisdom. His “weakness” is stronger than your greatest strength (1 Corinthians 1:25). His ways and thoughts are infinitely higher than yours (Isaiah 55:9). So when you are tempted or tried, trust in the One who is faithful and desires to lead you to victory.

Restore your faith in God today. Confirm your identity in Christ. Rely fully on the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for being with me through every temptation and trial in life. I choose to trust in You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding. Help me to submit to Your perfect will in every situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Assurance of Forgiveness

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

True confession of sin is not merely about feeling remorseful, guilty, or ashamed. It is not even about correcting bad behavior. True confession begins with the realization and acknowledgment that all our problems, shortcomings, and sinful nature stem from separation from God. Scripture calls this state “sin”—more specifically, “original sin.” Every human being is born into this condition, for “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we were born in a state of spiritual death (Ephesians 2:1).

When we confess our sins, we are exposing what the devil has done—binding all people under the law of sin and death. We are also submitting to the truth of God’s Word, which reveals how humanity became trapped by self-centeredness and worldly success, a pattern established since the fall (Genesis 3, 6, 11). Consequently, we find ourselves caught in the frames and systems of the world—crafted by the devil through spiritual powers, corrupt economies, and dark cultures (Acts 13, 16, 19).

We recognize the strong influence of Satan’s snares: tempting us to live enslaved to sin, worship idols, and suffer the restlessness of unbelievers. Even as believers, we often feel the tension between our desire to follow God’s law and the power of the sinful nature that remains in us (Romans 7:14–23). In this struggle, we cry out like Paul: “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:24).

But this cry of desperation leads us straight to the cross of Christ: “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:25). True confession is all about Jesus. It is about our True King, who through His death destroyed the one who holds the power of death—that is, the devil (Hebrews 2:14). Confession is a legal declaration of our freedom from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).

Our confession is also about Jesus, our True Priest, who removed every curse and disaster caused by sin. It is a declaration of victory over the grave. And it is about Jesus, our True Prophet, who opened a new and living way to God so we might have peace with Him once more (Hebrews 10:20).

At the cross, God—who is faithful and just—already dealt with all your sins: past, present, and future. When Jesus declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30), the full price was paid. Now, when we confess, God purifies us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) and helps us set our minds on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

The Holy Spirit gently reminds us that we are God’s beloved children, and nothing can separate us from His love in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). Therefore, confession is not a time of guilt—it is a time of restoration. Scripture declares you are blessed because God has forgiven—and forgotten—your sins: “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more” (Isaiah 43:25).

When God looks at you, He sees the blood of His Son. He has removed your sins “as far as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). In His compassion, He has “trampled our sins underfoot and hurled all our iniquities into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:19).

If you are still struggling with shame, meet Jesus at Calvary. He has cut off the root of sin and silenced “the accuser of our brothers and sisters” (Revelation 12:10). There is now “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). God has canceled the charge against you, making you holy and blameless in His sight (Colossians 1:22). Never forget who you are in Christ. Rejoice in your freedom and carry this good news to those still bound by the darkness.

Prayer. Father, thank You for setting me free from the law of sin and death through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that when I confess my weaknesses and wrongdoings, You forgive my sins and purify me through the precious blood of Jesus poured out on the cross. With the freedom I now have in Christ, I desire to stand as Your witness to those living in fear under the power of sin. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

The Assurance of Guidance

Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Are you feeling lost at times? Unsure of how to begin or what steps to take? Do the challenges of your present situation feel overwhelming? Are you constantly bombarded by temptations, doubts, and distractions?

God understands all of this. That’s why He has given us His Word. His Word never changes. It is the one thing we can rely on when everything else seems uncertain. Scripture says, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever” (Isaiah 40:8). No matter what happens in your life or in the world around you, God’s Word remains. It is eternal, unshakable, and trustworthy.

Jesus Himself affirmed this truth: “Truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” (Matthew 5:18). Every word of God is filled with power and purpose, and He fulfills what He has spoken. Do not be shaken by anything, for everything has been, is, and will be fulfilled according to the Word of God!

Take time to remind yourself of the Word God has already given you. Reflect on the promises He has made. You will begin to see that God has been faithfully working in your life all along. Even in your struggles and uncertainties, He has not failed you.

Sometimes, our eyes are more focused on the things of the world than on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This distorted vision causes us to drift from our faith, bringing sorrow, confusion, and spiritual fatigue. Ask God to sharpen your spiritual vision—to help you see beyond your current circumstances and recognize what He is doing behind the scenes. “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” (Psalm 119:18).

You already possess Christ, the source of true strength. In Him, you can find peace, even in the midst of trials. Learn to be content in all situations by making Jesus the Lord of your life and renewing your heart in worship every day. “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

Do not worry. You are precious and honored in God’s sight (Isaiah 43:4). You are not forgotten. The enemy, the devil, wants to blur your vision and pull you away from God’s promises. Resist him. “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Stay rooted in the truth of the Word.

To live victoriously, the Word of God must become more than just knowledge—it must become your message, your conviction, and your strength. Let it be engraved deeply in your heart. Let it guide every decision, every step, and every thought. “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:11).

When God called Abraham to leave everything behind and go to an unknown land, He was calling him to trust in His Word alone. Abraham didn’t know where he was going, but he believed that God would fulfill His covenant (Genesis 12:1-4). That trust became the foundation of Abraham’s journey. “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).

In contrast, the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years. Why? Because their hearts were filled with unbelief. They couldn’t let go of what had been imprinted in them through fear, slavery, and doubt. They could not believe in God’s Word with childlike faith. Their failure to trust God’s promise kept them from entering into His rest (Hebrews 3:19).

But you are not alone in this journey. The Holy Spirit lives in you forever (John 14:16-17). He will guide you through the Word. He will remind you of what Jesus said and reveal what is to come (John 16:13). He knows the path you are meant to walk, and He will help you stay on it.

Let the Word of God heal your heart, renew your mind, and transform your attitude. Spend time alone with God. Open the Bible. Let His truth speak into your life. Through the Word, He will give you the strength to break free from the patterns that have held you back. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

God has a wonderful plan for you—greater than anything you can imagine (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust Him in every situation. Follow His Word, even when it’s hard to see where it’s leading. And if you stumble along the way, don’t be discouraged. God is holding you by His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). He will not let go. He will guide you all the way to the end.

As you step forward, remember the timeless counsel of Today’s Word (Proverbs 3:5-6). This is not just a call to believe, but a call to surrender the steering wheel of your life to the One who sees the beginning from the end. When you let go of your need to figure everything out and instead acknowledge His sovereignty over every detail, He takes responsibility for the outcome. He will clear the obstacles you cannot see and direct your footsteps toward the destiny He has already secured for you—”the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Prayer. Father, I thank You for guiding my life through Your Spirit. Thank You for the peace and rest that the world cannot give. I desire to be led by You every day. Take me wherever You want me to go. Teach me to trust Your Word above all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Assurance of Answered Prayer

John 16:24. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

What is prayer? Prayer is the awareness and enjoyment of God’s presence and the power of His throne. It is not just a ritual or routine, but a living relationship with the living God. When we pray in Jesus’ name, the kingdom of God is established wherever we are (Matthew 6:10). Prayer transcends time and space and brings eternal blessings to all nations and peoples. It demolishes the strongholds of the enemy (2 Corinthians 10:4), strengthens the church, and opens the doors to evangelism and world missions (Colossians 4:3). For those who understand the blessing and power of the gospel, prayer is everything.

When you pray, you don’t need to be consumed with asking for things. Your heavenly Father already knows what you need even before you ask (Matthew 6:8). Instead, enjoy being in God’s presence—24 hours a day, seven days a week. Prayer is not something you visit occasionally; it is where you live (1 Thessalonians 5:17). David was a man who lived in constant prayer. He knew the privilege of walking with God in every moment. To him, God was his shepherd, and he, like a sheep, depended entirely on Him (Psalm 23:1). He confessed that apart from God, he could do nothing.

David’s awareness of God’s presence transformed even his darkest days into moments of peace and strength. Whether lying in green pastures or walking through the valley of the shadow of death, being with God was all he needed (Psalm 23:2-4). He lived with unshakable assurance that no danger could touch him outside of God’s will. His life was a continuous communion with heaven on earth.

Do you know what happens when you pray? Scripture tells us that God sends His angels to receive your prayers—every word you think and say. These angels deliver your prayer directly to the Creator like incense rising (Revelation 8:3-4). And when you pray in Jesus’ name, the Holy Spirit begins to work powerfully on your behalf (Romans 8:26-27). The forces of evil cannot stand before such prayer. They are broken and driven back.

Prayer is not wishful thinking. It is spiritual science. It can change anything and everything. So stop worrying, and start praying (Philippians 4:6-7). The God who made and established the earth says when you call to Him, He will answer you. He will reveal to you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:2-3).

Your Father loves you more than you can imagine. He listens eagerly when you pray. He bends down to hear your cry (Psalm 116:2). He knows your grief, your joy, your pain, and your praise. He sees every tear and hears every groan (Psalm 56:8). He cares for you deeply and will never ignore your prayer. He will answer you.

Through the blood of Jesus Christ, you have been made righteous in God’s sight (2 Corinthians 5:21). That’s why your prayer is powerful and effective (James 5:16). You have the right to approach the throne of grace with confidence. And when you do, you will find mercy and receive the help you need at just the right time (Hebrews 4:16).

Through prayer, you tap into God’s infinite power. Jesus, though constantly surrounded by crowds and ministry, always made time to be alone in prayer (Luke 5:16). If Jesus withdrew to quiet places to pray, how much more should we? There is power in meeting God alone, away from distractions, to pour out your heart and listen to His voice (Matthew 6:6). Your solitary place of prayer becomes the place of world evangelization.

When you pray and place your hope in God alone, He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31). When you keep your focus on Him in prayer, you will not be shaken (Psalm 16:8). As you continue to dwell in prayer, you will be guarded against temptation and sin (Matthew 26:41). Prayer is also your most powerful weapon in spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:18). The devil prowls like a roaring lion, but through prayer, you can resist him and stand firm (1 Peter 5:8-9).

Meet God today through His Word and through prayer. Find a quiet place, set aside time, and pour out your heart to Him. Let His Word dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). Pray for His will, not your own. Ask for His plan, not yours. As you yield yourself to Him in prayer, His power will rest on you, and others will see Christ in your life.

Prayer. Father, thank You for always hearing my prayers when I call on the name of Christ. I believe that as I pray, You are working through the Holy Spirit, breaking down the forces of darkness, and sending Your angels to carry out Your will. In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke every force of unbelief, anxiety, and guilt in my life. Open my eyes to see Your plan through every problem, conflict, and crisis I face today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Assurance of Salvation

1 John 5:11-13. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Many believers struggle because they lack the assurance of salvation. As a result, they live without fully enjoying the blessings of the gospel and often devote their lives to things that have no eternal value. Many believe they can be saved by being religious, following rules, or doing good deeds. But even after trying these things, they still wonder why suffering and emptiness continue in their lives, failing to realize that “all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6).

Scripture clearly teaches that every person is born into a state of condemnation under the curse of sin (Romans 3:23). Because of original sin, people live separated from God, following the ways of this world and under the control of the ruler of the kingdom of the air (Ephesians 2:2). They chase after things that cannot satisfy, living according to their fleshly cravings and desires (Ephesians 2:3).

They worship worldly things, trying to find meaning and fulfillment, but in the end they live in fear, anxiety, and unrest—never truly knowing peace because “there is no peace for the wicked” (Isaiah 48:22). Here, the term ‘wicked’ concerns identity rather than mere behavior, specifically the state of living under the power of the devil and being separated from God.

But because of His great love for us, God did not leave us in that condition. He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to bring us back to Himself (John 3:16). Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) and to restore what was lost. When you believe that Jesus is the Christ—the Anointed One who solved the problem of sin, Satan, and separation from God—you are completely set free from the power of sin, the devil, and hell. You are no longer condemned (Romans 8:1). You are no longer bound. You are saved.

This salvation is not something you can earn or work for. It has been given to you freely by the grace of God. Religion says you must try harder or do more to be accepted by God. But the gospel says it is already finished—done (John 19:30). Salvation is not based on your good works but on what Christ has already accomplished.

As Scripture declares, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Good deeds do not qualify you for salvation. They are simply the result of it—an expression of thanksgiving and a visible confession of faith.

You have been given a new life in Christ; if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). You now live in true freedom with a new identity and a new purpose. You are no longer defined by your past or your failures. You are a child of God (John 1:12), called to a glorious task that God prepared for you in advance—to save lives and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:10).

So enjoy God’s grace in every circumstance. Confirm His promises throughout the day. Rely on the power of God in everything you do. As you walk in this assurance, you will witness God doing “great and unsearchable things” (Jeremiah 33:3) in and through your life. Salvation is not just about a future in heaven—it is about eternal life in the kingdom of God starting now, a life filled with peace, power, and purpose in Christ.

Prayer. Lord, I thank You for making me Your child when I believed that Jesus is the Christ. You have given me eternal salvation—not because of what I have done, but because of what Christ has finished. Thank You for being with me always, leading my life, and answering me in every situation. Thank You for blessing me with the identity and authority of a child of God. Help me grow strong in the grace of Christ, who loved me and gave Himself for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
