Call to Worship
“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Praise
I Will Worship You
Words by Seok Jin Oh; Music by Ha Young Yoo

In the Spirit Lord, I will worship You.
And in truth alone I will worship You.
With the gospel of life, I will worship You.
For You are worthy of all glory, Lord.

Father, Son, and Spirit, I will worship You.
With the covenant, I will worship You.
With the blessing of the throne, I will worship You.
Lord, let your power be revealed through my life.

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence, He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name
Written by Edward Perronet (1780)

1 All hail the power of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown him Lord of all!

2 Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race
Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all.
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all!

3 Let ev’ry kindred and ev’ry tribe
On this terrestrial ball,
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him Lord of all!

4 Oh, that with yonder sacred throng
We at his feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song
And crown him Lord of all.
We’ll join the everlasting song
And crown him Lord of all.

Scripture Reading
1 Samuel 3:19
Read by Pastor Francis Kiiza

The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.

Special Music
Here I Am to Worship
Written by Tim Hughes; Sung by the Worship Team

Light of the world,
You stepped down into darkness,
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You,
Hope of a life spent with You.

So, here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You’re my God!
You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy,
Altogether wonderful to me!

King of all days,
Oh so highly exalted,
Glorious in Heaven above,
Humbly You came to the earth You created,
All for love’s sake became poor.

So, here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You’re my God
You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me!

I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross!
I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross!

Message
Since That Day
Delivered by Pastor Ryu Kwang Su
full transcript

▣ Introduction. When facing incurable diseases, depression, and difficult circumstances, people pray incorrectly or mistake non-answers for answers.
1) Abraham thought material needs were the answer – but Genesis 12:1–3 was the true answer.
2) The people heading into the wilderness thought merely surviving without starving was the answer, but the tabernacle, the ark of the covenant, and the three feasts were the true answer.
3) They thought defeating the Philistines was the answer, but the true answer was to gain strength and evangelize the Philistines.

※ The way to receive answers – God’s temple and God’s bartizan first came upon Samuel (1 Samuel 3:19).
1) First, raise the bartizan of the LORD within yourself.
2) Make yourself into the temple of the LORD.
3) Create the environment for God’s Word to come upon you. Wait for the working of the Holy Spirit.

▣ Main Message
1. Samuel, upon whom the bartizan and temple of the LORD were established, and the Word came – Heavenly Mandate (1 Corinthians 3:16)
1) Samuel lay next to the ark of the covenant.
2) Samuel heard the voice of God – the heavenly mandate came upon him.
3) From that day on, none of Samuel’s words fell to the ground.

2. The prayer of Samuel, who had the bartizan and temple of the LORD, never fell to the ground – Calling (1 Samuel 3:19)
1) The prayer of Samuel, who possessed the bartizan and temple of the LORD, became spiritual warfare.
(1) When the Philistines invaded and stole the ark of the covenant – Samuel’s prayer.
(2) The plagues that struck every place the ark arrived – Ashdod and the temple of Dagon, Gath, and Ekron.
(3) The return of the ark of the covenant

2) The prayer of one in whom the bartizan stands, one who has become a temple – breaks the forces of darkness and influences others.
(1) “Upon this rock I will build my church.” (Matthew 16:18)
(2) “The gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18) – because the bartizan has changed.
(3) “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

3) Calling – “I will make you into a temple upon which the Word of the LORD comes, into the bartizan of the LORD” (Samuel triumphed through prayer)

3. The Mizpah Movement – The mission of those who have become the temple and bartizan of the LORD.
1) Throw away all idols and come before the altar.
2) God struck down the Philistines in advance.
3) Spiritual strength to win without fighting – while Samuel was alive, the Philistines (forces of darkness) could not invade.

▷ Cultivate this strength: What happened when parents prayed with spiritual strength – Jacob and Joseph, Jochebed and Moses

▣ Conclusion
1. Matthew 4:19 – “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
2. Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
3. Mark 3:13–15 – He called those He wanted to be with them, to send them out to preach the gospel, and to give them authority to drive out demons
4. Matthew 28:18, 20 – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me… surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
5. Mark 16:19–20 – The Lord seated on the throne was with the disciples as they moved.
6. Acts 1:3 – “I will be with you with the throne, the kingdom of God, and the work of the kingdom of God”

※ Cultivate fundamental strength – Lord, give me the bartizan that will save my family line, the world, and the field. Let the sure covenant and temple come upon me.

We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Written by Don Besig and Nancy Price

1 Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.

And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!

2 We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail.

The Power to Overcome the Ruler of the Kingdom of the Air and the Eternal Answers

Today’s message is a challenging one from Scripture—Ephesians 2:2 contains this phrase:
“the power to overcome the ruler of the kingdom of the air” (Eph 2:2, 6:10–20)
It speaks of the one who rules the kingdom of the air. That’s why God has given us the power to overcome him. And He gave us what we need to win—Ephesians 6:10–20. Once you understand what prayer is, you won’t be able to help but pray. If you truly understand it, you’ll naturally be able to enjoy 24-hour prayer in peace. And when that happens, everything will begin to change.

▣ introduction – the spiritual world
Why is this important? Because all human destiny is determined in this invisible spiritual realm. We can’t see it with our eyes.

[ fate, future ]
Our fate and future are determined in the invisible spiritual realm. That’s why prayer is something tremendous. That’s why something powerful is unleashed when we worship.

1. Satan
But because this part is not well understood, people don’t know what “the ruler of the kingdom of the air” even means. Put simply, it refers to Satan. And without understanding this, people miss one of the most important parts of the Bible.

[ 1) three events ]
There were three events. This invisible Satan appeared in the Garden of Eden and caused Adam and Eve to fall. Then he created the Nephilim era, which led to the destruction during Noah’s flood. Then he raised up the Tower of Babel, leading to their downfall. This continues to this day.

[ 2) three organizations ]
Because people are unaware of this, even now three organizations are carrying this out. And it’s astonishing. Even the language they use is the same. One of the most unfortunate things in America is that people don’t realize this, even while living here. There’s a group called New Age. What they teach is basically identical to what happened in the Garden of Eden: “If you eat this, you will become like God.” They’re teaching the same thing today. Another group is the Freemasons. They gather almost daily for spiritual channeling sessions. It initially appears to give them power. The third group is the Jews. They have networks all over the world and are rebuilding the Tower of Babel. It’s truly astonishing.

[ 3) spiritual problems ]
This is why spiritual problems keep arising. If things continue as they are, our future generations are at high risk of developing mental illness. Since people have no interest in what Scripture says, problems are bound to come.

2. JX (Jesus the Christ)
That’s why Jesus gave us powerful spiritual weapons.

[ 1) bartizan ]
He called us to the Mount of Olives and established a bartizan for us. It’s something completely invisible. He spent 40 days explaining the work of the kingdom of God. That’s the bartizan.

[ 2) journey ]
Then we begin the journey.

[ 3) guidepost ]
From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth—that’s the guidepost. That’s what is revealed to us.

3.
[ 1) spiritual power ]
So when you pray, tremendous spiritual power is at work.

[ 2) healing ]
Those who worship and pray will experience incredible healing.

[ 3) summit ]
It’s not just healing. Eventually, you will come to receive the blessing of the summit who understands the highest things.

That’s why, if you understand prayer, you cannot help but pray.

John 14:16, 14:26, 16:13
Jesus Himself said, “The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, will teach you all things.” In John 14:26, He said it again. And in John 16:13, He said, “The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth.” This is certain.

People who struggle in their walk of faith usually have zero interest in this introduction. They care more about what people say, what kind of bag someone is carrying, or what designer clothes they’re wearing. Those things aren’t necessarily bad, but it means they have no interest in this part. So if pastors also ignore this, they cannot save people. Whether in America, Europe, or Korea—no matter how much ministry they do, it’s useless. Eventually, they themselves become powerless.

It’s truly heartbreaking. You know the retired pastors who come to our church to give the benediction? Do you know what kind of policies some churches have? They’ve made rules: “Retired pastors must not come near.” That’s absurd. That’s a policy of the devil. Churches are doing this. So those pastors, out of loneliness, wander around. Then they gather among themselves—but that’s even sadder. They just gather because they’re alone. One of them told me he wants to come to our church regularly but can’t because he has to watch what others think. What kind of life is that? Are they running a business? Is that even ministry? They all end up powerless and die off.

You must not end up like that. As you grow older, you need to grow stronger. Right? The older you get, the more answers you should receive. If you grow old without seeing God’s answers, things will become strange. Elders, especially, must be strengthened. There’s no other reason. If elders have spiritual power, everything will change through answers.

final battle
That’s why the Bible says this battle with Satan is our final battle. Scripture clearly states it’s not a physical fight but a spiritual one—our last and most crucial battle.

John 8:44
Why? Because in John 8:44, Jesus says Satan grips people and calls him “your father the devil.” That’s powerful, isn’t it?

12 strategies
He uses 12 strategies to bring people down.

kingdom of the air
And not only that, Scripture says he holds the kingdom of the air. In Ephesians 2:2, it says, “You followed the ruler of the kingdom of the air.”

background of hell
And he works with the full background of hell. You must hold firmly to this truth. For those of you in America and Europe, hold tightly to this covenant and blessing. If not, churches will become useless and close their doors. Isn’t that right? We’re not going to church for hobbies. If that’s the case, go somewhere else. We don’t go to church just to gain knowledge. If so, go elsewhere. The church exists for one purpose: to live a life of spiritual battle. You’ve been established as watchmen—that’s what this means.

▣ main message
1. the world X
The world cannot teach you how to fight this battle. If it could, you’d learn it in university. Why is that?

1) Ephesians 6:12
Ephesians 6:12 says these invisible forces are rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world, and spiritual forces of evil at work through dark religions.

2) trap, frame, snare
As mentioned earlier, Satan has created complete traps, frames, and snares using 12 strategies.

3) Revelation 12:1–9
In Revelation 12, it says he will one day appear in great power and torment the world.

2. full armor of God
So although we are children of God, we are told to put on the full armor of God to fight this battle. Like a soldier, we must wear the full uniform. Put on the helmet of salvation. Wear the breastplate of righteousness to protect your heart. Fasten the belt of truth. Hold up the shield of faith. Wield the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God. Put on the shoes of the gospel to go forth. And finally, you’ve been given a weapon. What is it? Pray in the Spirit at all times. Just as you carry your phone everywhere, pray constantly.

3. Ephesians 6:18
This isn’t just any prayer. Ephesians 6:18 describes a kind of prayer no one else can give you. Just start praying. No matter how difficult your situation is, don’t stay trapped in it—begin praying. Many people think, “I just can’t do it. There’s no answer for me. I’m too old. I have no money. I have no strength.” And they get stuck there. Start now. You must experience and pass on the mystery that unfolds when you pray.

There are many ways to pray, but generally use three approaches. You can schedule prayer times and pray at fixed hours. If that’s hard, just pray when you wake up. Or pray after you finish everything in the evening. Sometimes you pray with deep concentration. And other times, you pray at all times—Ephesians 6:18.

▣ conclusion
Especially on Sundays like today, you must restore yourself through deep prayer.

1. Friday – restoration of health
Use Friday to pray specifically for health recovery. The area around our church is a wonderful place. So is Seoul. On Friday nights, come early and go for a walk. Breathe deeply and fully recover your health. Just outside our church, it’s beautiful. There’s no place like it. If you’re sick, walk barefoot and continue breathing. Restore your health completely on this day.

2. Saturday – restoration of talent
On Saturdays, focus on this: to recover the economy of light, you must restore talented individuals. This is raising up the remnant. Saturdays are for this.

3. Sunday – spiritual summit
And on Sunday? You don’t need to become the president of a nation. You are meant to enjoy the spiritual summit that reigns over the world. You could run for office, but you don’t have to. There’s a much greater power in being the spiritual summit. It may sound like a joke, but it’s not. It’s about restoring the incredible blessing of the spiritual summit on Sunday. Then from Monday, continue in prayer and begin confirming the answers. Isn’t that right? Starting this week, you don’t know what answers will come—starting with Tuesday gatherings, lay leader conferences, and great blessings. Next week, I’ll be heading to America. Many answers are prepared there.

So look carefully. Among the remnants in the church, there are talented individuals. Strictly speaking, it may look like we’re helping them, but in truth, we’re the ones being helped. Harvard University is considered one of the best schools because it finds talented individuals and partners with them. They don’t just graduate students—they build businesses together. We have the secret to restoring the economy of light. So on Sunday, receive all the spiritual power you need, and from Monday, begin confirming the answers.

Today, may you restore three things: health, through all-day prayer; talented individuals, to prepare for the future; and the summit blessing that’s greater than any presidential role. Presidents are important, but you’ve received something far greater. May you restore the summit that can move the world. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ that this answer will be with you all your life and in every field.

Prayer
God, we give You thanks. Let what is truly important be restored today. Restore our physical and spiritual health. Restore the economy of light. Grant us the power to restore the summit. Especially to our older members and church officers, pour out special grace. For those in business, mobilize the heavenly armies and let Your kingdom come. To the remnants, grant spiritual wisdom. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

The 1·3·8 Journey and the Answer of 25

1·3·8 Journey and the 25 Answers
The phrase (1·3·8) is not a difficult one. It refers to Acts 1:1, 3, and 8. This is the journey we must take. Then the answer of 25 will come: Christ (1), the Kingdom of God (3), and Only the Holy Spirit (8).

Now churches must establish this (1·3·8 journey and the answer of 25), but they are uninterested. They don’t see it as important. That’s why churches in America are beginning to close, and in Europe they’ve completely shut down. This is serious.

If you’re sending your children to study in the U.S. or Europe, you shouldn’t do so without giving them these. If they don’t use drugs, they will be isolated. It’s hard to endure for three years or so. After drugs come promiscuous behaviors—there’s no need to even mention that. People in the U.S. may deny this, but the remnants there know it’s true.

[ The Triune God ]
We don’t need to change anything else. The word “Christ” means the Triune God dwells within us. That’s what we must pray for.

[ Throne | Kingdom, Transcendence, 237 Nations ]
What is the work of God’s Kingdom? When the blessing of the throne comes upon us, it is called the Kingdom. This is what prayer is. What could be more important? When the Kingdom comes, transcendence over time and space and the answer of the 237 nations come. That means it’s possible.

[ Genesis 1:27, 2:7, 2:`18 ]
What’s most important is that this must fundamentally take root in our lives. This is prayer. This is worship. Then it indwells our soul and brings life. And then it enters our life and daily walk. These are the 9 blessings of the throne. That’s why we say 3·9·3.

[ Unprecedented and Never-Again (3) ]
It doesn’t end here. As these blessings of the throne, the Kingdom, transcendence, 237 nations, and the foundational blessings take place, unprecedented and never-again blessings come to your life, church, and field. These are the 9 blessings.

[ Three Ages ]
Then, what happens when you receive the filling of the Holy Spirit? The three ages open: past, present, and future.

This is what we must prepare our remnants for before sending them out, but no churches do it. They fight over “you’re right, I’m right,” but show no interest in finding this (the Triune God, throne, Kingdom, transcendence, 237 nations, foundational blessings, three ages).

If you’re building a church in Ulsan, open the three-day weekend age and give our kids real training. Show them what the 3 organizations, shamans, and strange movements are doing. Then they’ll quickly realize, “Ah, I see now.”

Our remnants never pray, but Muslims pray even while walking. They pray five times a day. We must show that to our kids. We have the answer in the Bible, but we’re not doing it. People only panic when spiritual problems arise. By then, it’s too late. Some problems have been in the family line for generations—those don’t go away instantly. The ones that do are fake. We must do this. Especially for our remnants—they can’t be sent out unprepared anymore.

So, pray for church construction. Pray that there will be three essential courtyards. A church where multiethnic people can come and rest. Worship is important, but it must be a refuge and feel like home. Build that kind of system.

I once went to Haeundae briefly. I saw multiethnic people coming and going constantly. I kept seeing the same people wandering around. Later I found out it was Lunar New Year. All the restaurants were closed. They were just looking for a place to eat. It was unfortunate. What about our remnants or TCKs alone in Korea during the holidays? Just a little care brings deep healing. If inner healing doesn’t happen, it’s like putting on a mask every day.

If you firmly commit to this, God will bless the construction and your finances. Wouldn’t we do the same? If someone helps us with something important, we repay them, even with borrowed money. Right? But why would I help someone who hurts me for no reason? Of course not. We must do this.

▣ Introduction
1. Morning – Thought
We must teach our remnants this. Even a short prayer brings change. When we wake up, thoughts come. Just pray about them. If you teach remnants like that, it’s easy. Morning is morning—just pray. Once they gather at the church after construction, train them properly.

2. Afternoon – Meetings
We meet many people during the day. Turn those encounters into prayer.

3. Night – Concentration
At night, when alone before sleep, hold onto the message and concentrate. It may seem like nothing at first, but when continued, something amazing happens. All these blessings unfold.

▣ Main Message
1. Evangelist
Our remnants are evangelists.
1) Only (Acts 1:1)
We remain inside “Christ,” the Only. At first it seems like nothing, but later the answer of “Only” comes.
2) Uniqueness (Acts 1:3)
By praying about God’s Kingdom, you receive the answer of uniqueness, which no one else can get.
3) Re-creation (Acts 1:8)
Being filled with the Holy Spirit brings re-creation, more important than experiences.

When I was young, I had many spiritual experiences, but I also saw many people who received no answers. What’s the point of having experiences like that? That’s what people call mysticism—believing in mysterious powers of God without truly understanding. There are people who do nothing all day and just stay like that constantly.

When I was a child, there was a deaconess in our village. She would go to early morning prayer, get all fired up by herself, and keep praying until 10 a.m. Her husband would wait and wait, but the kids had to go to school and he had to get to work. Eventually, after waiting so long, he became so angry he skipped work entirely. We tried to stop him, but he was so furious. The kids needed to get to school, after all. So the husband said, “These Jesus people are weird.” But that’s not how believers in Jesus are supposed to be. Christians are meant to receive blessings like the Triune God, the throne, the Kingdom, transcendence of time and space, the 237 nations, and the blessings of Genesis 1:27, 2:7, 2:18, and the three ages. That’s how we save lives.

2. Prayer
This is our prayer—not anything else.
1) Work of the Triune God
Prayer is when the Triune God works in me.
2) Throne comes upon me
The power of the throne comes upon me.
3) Three Ages
Then we deliver this. That’s how we arrive at the answer of the three ages. The evangelist remains in point (1), and prayer is point (2). Then great answers come.

3. Important Eyes
You receive very important spiritual eyes.
1) Timetable
So, what is the first thing? It’s that I come to be perfectly inside God’s timetable. What could be more important than that? That’s why Scripture says, “When the day of Pentecost came,”—that is God’s timetable. Isn’t that wonderful? If you keep doing this prayer (main point 1), your health improves, and you remain within God’s timetable. If you continue enjoying this prayer, you will become happy. Isn’t that great?

It’s really something. It’s not even hard. Isn’t prayer better than just opening your eyes and starting to worry? Right? Isn’t it far better to pray a bit before bed than to fall asleep after watching TV all night? Isn’t it better for a remnant to pray even briefly before bed than to stay up all night playing games?

Yet people don’t do this simple thing. They don’t enjoy this joy. If Jesus had just mentioned this in passing, we could take it lightly—but He gathered the disciples and spoke desperately for 40 days. For forty days! That’s why I do this prayer (main point 2). When I do, I receive the message, doors to evangelism open—everything starts to work.

No matter how amazing you may be, it’s meaningless if you’re not aligned with God’s timetable. Isn’t that right? The Pharisees kept all the laws, but they had no connection with God. That’s why their future generations perished. We must save the next generation. Right now, you may feel like you’re suffering or praying hard, but that’s not suffering at all. If you’re praying and gathering strength for church construction, there is no greater blessing.

But we shouldn’t just build any church. We must build a church with three essential courts. That’s what we must build. God cannot help but answer. Then, what happens next? Your spiritual eyes begin to open.

2) W·I·O
With the blessings of the throne, you clearly see: God is With me , Immanuel, Oneness. If you don’t see this, you must start now. Why do something else when God has entrusted you with the most important task in the world?
OURS
Then the system of Only, Uniqueness, Re-creation is formed. Everyone knows the answer, but once the system is built, things start to work.
24·25·Eternity
You pray continuously, no matter where you are. Our remnants pray without anything visible—that’s what matters. Even in difficult places or foreign countries with no help, they pray. That’s 24. Then 25—the eternal—comes. We must build a church that teaches this. Then what happens?

3) 237, Healing, Summit
They will finally come to the place where they save the 237 nations. And wherever our remnants are scattered, they will bring healing. They may be young, but they can become spiritual summits. That’s what this is about. Our remnants don’t need to be shaken. Even if they go out without any official position, they can first become summits spiritually.

In Potiphar’s house, Joseph held the lowest position. But spiritually, he was the highest. Potiphar saw that. He said, “Wow, truly the Lord is with you.” That’s all it takes. People looking at our remnants should say, “Truly, God is with you.” Later, Potiphar said, “The Lord is with you in all that you do. Don’t just be a slave—take charge of my household.” He made Joseph the steward over his entire house.

Joseph was enjoying this blessing (main point 3), so even when he was falsely accused, he went along with it—because he knew God had a plan. No matter how well things went at Potiphar’s house, he would only ever be a steward. It was God’s will for him to leave Potiphar’s house. Where he was going was important.

God led him to become a political leader who served the king. Right? And what did the king say when he saw Joseph? “I have never seen anyone filled with the Spirit of God like this.” The king was astonished. Usually, someone else recommends a person and the king approves—but this time, the king himself recommended Joseph. “How about becoming Prime Minister? Be the Prime Minister.”

We’re not saying we want to do something extraordinary. But wherever our remnants are, they must be able to stand firm. Right? That’s the kind of training we need to give them. Open up the three-day weekend age and do it properly. Do it right in Ulsan.

Nothing else is precious. What else could be more valuable? Everything else is empty talk. Even correct words are empty if they’re not what God wants. We must do what God desires and what this world truly needs. What’s the point of saying all the right things if we’re ignoring what matters most?

▣ Conclusion – Imprint and Journey
These blessings become imprinted in our remnants. Once imprinted as a child, they never fade. Then they begin this journey.

[ EVERY ]
This leads to the necessary journey God prepared—raising everything to life even in places with no one to help. That is a remnant. Then we don’t even need an answer. Enjoying this blessing is enough.

There was a Korean woman in Japan who married a wealthy man. But Japanese law has strange categories—wives who receive inheritance and those who don’t. She married as one who wouldn’t inherit. Still, she said, “I’m thankful to have met you because through you I heard the gospel and started attending church. That alone is enough.” The husband and his sons were deeply moved. They said, “We’ve never met a Korean like you.” Most people seek gain, but she didn’t.

Why am I sharing this? Because it’s okay even without answers or benefits. This itself is the answer. Just enjoy it. That’s what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said: “We’re okay even if we die in the fire.” That can’t be stopped. Daniel and Esther said the same. “We’re okay going into the lion’s den,” “I’ll go to the king even if it means death.” That breaks the darkness.

Today during worship, many things will happen. Healing will occur without your knowing. The Kingdom of God will come to the places related to you. People don’t understand worship. Listening to recordings is fine, but why do we worship live? Because that’s when it gets imprinted in your soul. Listening to recordings afterward helps it take root. When something touches us, it becomes imprinted. Repeating it helps it take root. As soon as this blessing is imprinted in you and our remnants, works begin. Today, we worship together with God’s people nationwide and worldwide. Today’s worship centers on Ulsan. May great grace come upon you in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray.

Prayer
Thank You, Lord. May Your Kingdom be fulfilled throughout today. We worship now, but may Your Kingdom come in the places we must go. Though we worship here, may the blessing of the throne come upon our studies, work, and mission fields. In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.

Who Did Jesus Say He Was?

John 14:7-10. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Unfortunately, many people who have been in church all their lives still lack assurance that Jesus is the Christ. Legalism—one of the devil’s most effective tools—has robbed them of the joy of salvation. They remain trapped in a religious lifestyle, having lost the power of true life in Christ.

As a result, churches around the world are steadily losing ground against the forces of darkness, and younger generations have fallen into the grip of Satan. The root cause of these issues is spiritual ignorance. As Scripture says, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). The world does not know the One who came as the answer to all our problems—Christ Jesus our Lord.

Why is Jesus the only answer? Consider what He claimed about Himself: “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). Because they didn’t understand who Jesus truly was, the Jews picked up stones to kill Him. They tried to destroy the very One who came to save them. Eventually, they crucified Him for claiming to be God. This is the tragic result of spiritual ignorance.

In another instance, Jesus said, “Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” The Jews responded, “You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I Am.” At this, they again picked up stones to throw at Him (John 8:56–59).

What they didn’t realize is that Jesus existed even before the creation of the world: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:1–3).

Jesus alone possesses all the qualifications to be the Savior. He alone has the power to crush Satan (Genesis 3:15). He is the eternal Word made flesh (John 1:1, 14). He is without original sin (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 3:18). He is not a descendant of Adam but was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14).

Jesus died to take away the sins of the world (Genesis 2:17). As the ultimate proof of His divinity, He rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3–5). He was God in the flesh, who destroyed the power of Satan and secured salvation for all of us.

To meet Jesus is to meet God. As He said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). He has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). There is nothing impossible for Him. He is fully equal to God in every way. God wants us to know Christ Jesus,

Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-8)

When you understand the uniqueness of Christ, you begin to experience Him personally. You will encounter your True King—crushing Satan under your feet wherever you go. You will meet your True Priest—breaking the curses caused by sin. And you will follow your True Prophet—saving souls from the background of hell.

God has made you a witness of these truths for all nations. So discover your answers in the gospel alone. Bring all things into prayer before the throne of the Triune God.  Live the life worth living—the life of the evangelist.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for drawing me back to You through Christ Jesus, Your Son—the only power over Satan, the only Savior for my sins. Use my life today to proclaim the Good News that Jesus is the Christ, the only way for the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Who On Earth Is Jesus?

John 14:6. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Many believers wander without truly knowing who Jesus is. They have only a partial understanding of salvation and believe in God according to their own thoughts and standards. As a result, they live without assurance or conviction. Though they profess faith, they go through life without experiencing Jesus’ life or Jesus’ power. Their thoughts and actions are no different from those of unbelievers.

No one has had a greater impact on the world than Jesus. Though He never authored a single book, more books have been written about Him than any other person in history. His influence surpasses that of all kings, leaders, thinkers, and generals combined. He has transformed the lives of countless individuals and nations throughout history.

We don’t even know what the next five minutes will bring, yet the life of Jesus was prophesied thousands of years in advance—His birth (Isaiah 7:14), His youth (Hosea 11:1), His suffering and death (Isaiah 53:4–6), and His resurrection (Psalm 16:9), just to name a few.

Why do so many people find peace, purpose, and strength in Jesus? Why do lives undergo fundamental change when a person receives and believes in Him? To answer that, we must first understand the fundamental problem of mankind and its cause.

Scripture declares that the root problem of humanity is sin: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Mankind was created to live in God’s glory, yet we now live in a state where that glory cannot be experienced. We have become ignorant of the One who created us. We are living in a condition we were never meant to be in. The Bible calls this displacement sin—more specifically, original sin.

All humanity has fallen into this state. The true reason people are unhappy is not simply their problems, but their spiritual position. No one can be truly happy while remaining in this state. Created in the image of God, mankind has fallen to the level of animals, and spiritually to the level of Satan. As Jesus said, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth… for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

How did sin enter the world? Satan tempted the first man and woman to break God’s covenant (Genesis 2:16–17), offering them something seemingly irresistible: “You will be like God” (Genesis 3:5). Tragically, Adam and Eve took the bait, and with that act came all the curses that plague the human race. Instead of becoming like God, they became slaves of the devil, living under his control.

Sin made us enemies of God. It made us prefer darkness over light (John 3:19). Sin brought eternal death: “For the wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23). This curse cannot be lifted by any human effort or good deeds. Nothing we do can restore peace between God and man.

But because of God’s great love and mercy, the Word became flesh and dwelled among us (John 1:1–14). That Word is Jesus, who came to save us from the curse of sin, Satan, and hell. By dying on the cross, Jesus became the only way for us to return to the Father: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Through His resurrection, He overcame the power of sin and death, and He destroyed the one who holds the power of death—the devil (1 John 3:8). Jesus accomplished the work of the Christ by fulfilling the roles of King, Priest, and Prophet!

When you believe that Jesus is the Christ, you are eternally set free from the hands of Satan. God gives you the right to become His child, and He gives you the authority to overcome all the power of the enemy. You cannot defeat Satan by your own strength—it is only by the power of Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18).

Your fight is not against people. Our true battle is against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world—against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Do not give up. God will soon crush Satan under your feet (Romans 16:20). In Jesus’ name, resist the devil who tries to deceive you at every moment, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Prayer. Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Christ who destroyed the power of Satan, sin, and hell. I confess that I have been deceived by the devil and was destined for suffering and eternal condemnation in hell. Yet, because of Your great love, You died on the cross to break the power of Satan. You rose from the dead, overcame all the forces of darkness, raised me up with You, and seated me with You in the heavenly realms. Thank You for Your promise of victory over the world. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Praise
A Wonderful Savior Is Jesus My Lord
by Fanny Crosby (1890)

1 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
A wonderful Savior to me;
He’s hiding my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.

He’s hiding my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He’s hiding my life in the depths of his love
And covers me there with his hand,
And covers me there with his hand.

2 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord;
He carries my burdens away,
He’s holding me up, and I shall not be moved;
He’s giving me strength day by day.

3 With numberless blessings each moment he crowns
And fills with his fullness divine;
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God
For such a Redeemer is mine.

4 When clothed in his brightness, transported I rise
To meet him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, his wonderful love,
I’ll shout with the millions on high.

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence, He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Scripture Reading
Romans 16:25-27

Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

Message
24, 25, and Eternity
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su

▣ Introduction
1. Condition – The state of newcomers may be somewhat awkward.
1) Anxiety – Because of their past involvement with idol worship, they may feel uneasy.
2) Confusion – Because evil spirits keep attacking them.
3) Illness – They may become weak and fall ill.

2. Promise – “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised.”
1) Bartizan of the throne (wait until it becomes imprinted) – The Triune God is with us through the Spirit, with the power of the throne, and has finished all things of the past, present, and future. He gives us the five powers and the strength to overcome the one who rules the air. If you pray, He will reveal the future. Through the three courts, He will bring three kinds of success.
2) Journey of the throne (let it take root) – Since the Triune God is working in three ways, walk that path. Do not be shaken—go on the journey with the 10 footstools. He will be with you through the 10 mysteries. Take with you the five assurances in times of hardship, the 9 flows of the throne, and the lifelong answer. Today is your camp.
3) Guidepost of the throne (let it become your nature) – Believe in the power of the cross that has already finished the past, present, and future. The mission of the throne is yours. Experience the three feasts. Are you facing a crisis? It’s the best timetable. Receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, enjoying 300%. If a door has closed, it’s a turning point. You must also see Rome.
Do not try to fix it—let it disappear. Those who suffer from depression may gain strength through it. When the sick receive grace, they gain even greater strength and become witnesses.

3. Evidence
1) Some come because they feel a need for religion.
2) Some come because their family believes. Neither receives true answers.
3) What is needed is to discover the value worth staking your life on.

▣ Main message
1. The reason – Why God gives the blessings of 24, 25, and eternity.
1) Three events – These are still ongoing: the event in the Garden of Eden (“You will be like God”), the Nephilim (power), the Tower of Babel (ruling the age).
2) Superstition, religion, idols – Since the fundamental problems are unresolved, people fall into these, making things even harder.
3) The purpose – Satan’s goal is to destroy you through the six states. His final target is to destroy the next generation. He shows power like the ruler of the world and deceives like the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4–5).

2. The answer
1) God promised to send the Christ.
(1) Satan – King
The true King who crushed Satan.
(2) Disasters – Priest
The true Priest who blocks disasters.
(3) Hell – Prophet
The true Prophet who opens the way to God, breaking the authority of hell.
2) When you accept Christ – your identity (destiny) is changed.
3) Strength – He gives authority: “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy.”

3. Resolution – What kind of resolution must we make?
1) Ephesians 2:8 – God has called you by His grace. Grace means it was impossible by human means, but it was accomplished. “What caused me pain was actually the means by which God called me. The true answer is the grace of God who saved me.”
2) Hidden problems – These are true blessings. He has already given you the authority to overcome.
3) 300% (witness) – When the fullness of the Holy Spirit comes upon your talents, that’s when you become a witness who saves lives with 300% preparation through the Spirit.

▣ Conclusion
3 concentrations – 24: You must come alive when you are alone. You must receive grace from God. Therefore, practice the three concentrations—this is your 24. Pray briefly in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
3 settings – 25: Then the things of the throne will be set in place—this is your 25.
3 answers – eternity: God gives what remains forever. These are the three answers, and this is what we call eternity.

Forum & Prayer

"It Is I. Don’t Be Afraid!"

Mark 6:45-52. Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. 46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, 50 because they all saw him and were terrified.

Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” 51 Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, 52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.

Who was this Jesus who walked on water? When the disciples saw Him, they were terrified, thinking He was a ghost. Scripture says, “their hearts were hardened.” Though they had just witnessed an incredible miracle—Jesus feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish—they failed to recognize who He truly was. They saw the miracle but missed the Person—the Bread of Life from heaven. They did not see Jesus as God, the Creator of the very lake they were struggling to cross, the One who transcends time and space.

Who is Jesus to you? Today, about 32% of the world’s population identifies as Christian. Many profess belief in Jesus, yet few understand why He is the only way to God. Some see Him merely as a savior who died for their personal sins, hoping to reach heaven by repenting of their wrongdoings. Others view Him as the founder of a religion, someone to pray to for help with finances, health, family, or success. As a result, many believers approach God no differently than unbelievers or religious people—focused on worldly gain, not eternal truth. Without knowing the true purpose of life, they live like spiritual orphans and beggars, unknowingly running errands for the devil all their lives.

But Scripture declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning” (John 1:1–2). Jesus is the Word. All things were made through Him (John 1:3). In Him was life (John 1:4). And the Word became flesh (John 1:14). Jesus and God the Father are one (John 10:30). To meet Jesus is to meet God. To know Jesus is to know the Father (John 14:7). Even those in the Old Testament were saved by faith in Him (John 8:56).

Jesus came to solve the root of our problems. As the True King, He destroyed the work of the devil (1 John 3:8). As the True Priest, He paid the ransom for our sins by His death (Mark 10:45). As the True Prophet, He delivered us from the destiny of hell (John 14:6). Jesus is not the founder of a religion; He is the Christ—the Anointed One!

Many have founded religions, but none fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah. Scripture foretold the birth, life, death, and resurrection of the Christ in detail—prophecies only Jesus fulfilled. Unlike other religious leaders who remain in their graves, Jesus’ tomb is empty. He rose again, conquering death and declaring victory over the devil, who held the power of death (Hebrews 2:14). His resurrection proves He is the true and living Savior.

So again—who is Jesus to you? He asked His disciples the same question (Matthew 16:15). It is not enough to believe in Jesus intellectually. Only Jesus must remain at the center of your life (Matthew 17:8). Only then will the powers of Satan, sin, and hell be broken. Only then will the kingdom of God be established within you. Only then will the Holy Spirit begin to work in and through your life.

If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, then you are born of God (1 John 5:1). You possess all the rights and privileges of a child of the Most High. No weapon formed against you will prevail (Isaiah 54:17). To encounter the Word is to encounter Christ. Through prayer, you can move the armies of heaven and release the power of God’s kingdom. Strengthened by the Holy Spirit, you will stand as Christ’s witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Stop struggling through the storms of life alone. Don’t let your heart remain hardened. Hear Jesus say to you, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Invite Him into your boat—not just as a helper, but as your Lord and your God. Walk with Him, sail with Him, and your life will never be the same.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for being with me in the midst of life’s storms. Soften my heart so I may truly believe and trust in You. Help me experience the power and presence of Christ each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To Experience the Power of Christ

Matthew 8:1-4. When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

At the time of Jesus, leprosy was incurable. Yet for the man with leprosy in today’s passage, one encounter with the Son of God was enough. In the same way, when we place our faith in Christ alone, we will see the end of our problems.

There is a time for everything, and we must not miss the opportunity to meet Jesus. As Scripture says, “For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). God gives us many opportunities to receive His grace—through Sunday worship, daily devotions, small group Bible studies, conferences, and retreats. We must make the most of every opportunity He provides.

One of the most common reasons we miss those opportunities is being overly conscious of others. The man with leprosy saw the large crowds surrounding Jesus. That alone could have discouraged him from approaching. But his faith overcame fear. He came forward and knelt before the One who had the power to heal.

People can become stumbling blocks during the very time God desires to pour out His grace. Satan uses people, religion, and legalism to keep us from encountering the living God. Naaman nearly missed his chance to be healed of leprosy because of his pride (2 Kings 5:1–18). If we fix our eyes on our name, status, or interests, we will lose the opportunity to receive God’s grace. We must fix our eyes only on Jesus Christ.

To experience the power of Christ, faith is required. The man with leprosy risked his life to come before Jesus. The law forbade lepers from approaching people, so his act was one of absolute trust in Christ. God responds to this kind of faith. When the Israelites were facing destruction, Queen Esther resolved to go to the king, even though it was against the law, saying, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16). Similarly, when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were threatened with death in a fiery furnace, they boldly declared before King Nebuchadnezzar that even if God did not save them, they would not bow down to any idol (Daniel 3:16–18). That is the kind of faith God honors—faith that is willing to risk everything for His name and kingdom.

To live with that kind of faith, we must believe in the sufficiency and perfection of Christ. But such faith comes from hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). The man with leprosy not only came to Jesus but also knelt before Him in worship. This showed his full trust and obedience. God works according to our faith. He does not respond to those who believe in Him halfway. It is not that God lacks power, but He delights in wholehearted faith. As Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

The man with leprosy said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” He sought God’s will first. That is how Jesus taught us to pray: “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). But how do we know God’s will? Jesus said, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7). God’s will is revealed throughout Scripture. Jesus clearly expressed God’s will with these words: “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33).

God’s will is the establishment of His kingdom—a kingdom where He reigns and where His children live under His care. It is a kingdom where the knowledge of Christ fills the earth, and His name is honored throughout the world. Wherever His kingdom comes, the kingdom of Satan collapses. Saving lives through the gospel is God’s greatest desire. Establishing His kingdom through the gospel movement in every generation has always been His top priority.

When we lose sight of His will, we begin to focus only on our own problems, and we end up running Satan’s errands in everything we do. That is why we must once again discover God’s will for our lives. We must align our desires and plans with His. We must abandon our own thoughts, ways, and ambitions. In every situation, let us ask, “If you are willing.” We need to change both the content and direction of our prayers.

The man with leprosy also had confidence: “You can make me clean.” He believed in God’s power and sovereignty. God’s will is certain to come to pass. If the Lord is willing, we can move forward boldly and witness His works unfold. When Joshua and the Israelites clung to God’s covenant and marched around Jericho, the walls fell without a single fight. When the priests stepped into the Jordan River carrying the ark of the covenant, the waters stopped flowing and the people crossed on dry ground (Joshua 3:15–16). We, too, must firmly hold onto God’s covenant in our own lives as we walk the path of world evangelization.

No matter your current situation, one encounter with Jesus is enough. “Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately, he was cleansed of his leprosy.” But how do we encounter Jesus today? Through the gospel—the Word about Christ. That is why the gospel must be preached daily in every mission field. People all around us are desperately waiting for healing from their spiritual disease, just like the man in today’s passage. We must lead them to Jesus, the only answer to all of life’s problems.

To continue experiencing the power of Christ, we must live a life of worship. Jesus told the man, “Go, show yourself to the priest.” In the same way, we must show ourselves to our True High Priest, Jesus, and worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). As we continue to enjoy God’s Word and prayer through worship, we will begin to see real fundamental change and blessing in our lives.

Finally, we are also called to live a life of thanksgiving. Jesus said, “Offer the gift Moses commanded.” Let us reflect on the grace we have freely received through Christ and renew our hearts in gratitude. Thanksgiving will drive out anxiety, jealousy, and hatred, and fill our lives with joy, peace, love, and faith. Eventually, we will find that the only thing remaining in us is thanksgiving. We are called to cast off the garments of legalism and put on the garments of the gospel. Our very lives will become a testimony to those around us.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for healing me from all my problems, just as You healed the man with leprosy. Help me to continue to trust in You completely and to experience the power of Christ at work in me each day. Let my life be a testimony to the people You have placed around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let Us Save Those Who Have Fallen into Idolatry

Mark 5:1-10. They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!” Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

Scripture states that idolaters are bound to experience all kinds of suffering throughout their lives. Controlled by unclean spirits, they are drawn to impure things and places. They may even display unusual powers that terrify others. Because evil spirits take over their minds, they are unable to form normal, healthy relationships. Often, they inflict harm upon themselves, both emotionally and physically.

Idolatry is rampant, devastating the lives of individuals, families, nations, and ultimately the world. The Bible explains why: people worship idols because they are separated from God, their true source of happiness and security. Though they may gain material things through idolatry, they find no peace or rest.

In their desperation, they turn to various spiritual activities, but these offer only temporary relief from their present reality. Scripture makes it clear that people live “under the power of the devil” (Acts 10:38) and cannot escape from it on their own.

To save those trapped in idolatry, we must be alert to the real enemy: “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). We must stay awake in prayer and continue steadfastly in the Word of God. This is the only way to rescue them.

Until the Lord returns (Matthew 25:41), we must fight against the evil one and never let our guard down. We must engage wholeheartedly, single-mindedly, and continually in the gospel movement wherever we are sent.

To this end, let us remain in the Lord and proclaim the gospel of peace and rest — the most powerful way to subdue the aggression of the devil. When the light of the gospel is turned on, the darkness of Satan must flee. Enjoying the Word and prayer is what Scripture calls the filling of the Holy Spirit.

At the cross, Jesus shattered the power of Satan. The Old Testament points to the blood; the New Testament fulfills it at the cross. The blood covenant of the Old Testament has been perfectly fulfilled through Christ’s sacrifice. On the cross, Jesus once for all resolved the problem of idols, sin, and Satan.

To be filled with Jesus, the Christ, is to be filled with the Holy Spirit — the very Spirit of Christ. To overcome the power of Satan, we must be battle-ready:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:10–11).

Prayer must remain the top priority in our lives: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (Ephesians 6:18).

Always stay on the offensive. Invade the kingdom of Satan through evangelism:
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matthew 16:18).

Save those who have fallen into the hands of Satan and the idols he has made. This is the mission of the church we must recover. Only then will the forces of darkness be silenced. Lead those trapped in idolatry to Jesus, that they may receive and believe that He is the Christ. Help them forsake the idols of their lives. Plant the seed of faith in their hearts, healing their minds and spirits with the Word of God. Testify to the greatness of God’s love.

To this end, Jesus has promised to make you like a rock, unshakable. He has given you authority over the forces of darkness — even the power of hell will not overcome you. You have been given the keys of the kingdom of heaven, so that through prayer, you may unleash the power of God and accomplish His will. You have been granted the privilege of approaching the throne of grace with confidence.

Enjoy the blessing of walking with Christ daily. Listen for His voice. Do everything in His presence. Live for what matters most — knowing and proclaiming Christ.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for the privilege of worshipping the living God. Make me strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, so that I may stand against the enemy and rescue those ensnared by idolatry. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer of the Week: June 8, 2025

Lord, help me not to focus on fixing my situation but to cultivate true, fundamental strength by first building the bartizan of God, just as You transformed Hannah’s prayer to align with Your covenant.

Open my eyes to see my real problems in my family, church, field, and the world. Just as Hannah received the grace of realization to become a platform for Your work, the unexpected grace that led to national revival through Samuel, and the grace concerning the future by raising David, help me to hold firmly to Your Word.

Teach me to wait on Your perfect time, whether answers come immediately, are delayed, or require patience. Today, help me to concentrate on building Your bartizan so I may witness Your grace upon my life, my descendants, and the future.

May the Triune God work powerfully within me.
Take full control of my soul, heart, thoughts, and body.
Let the power of Your throne come upon me, and may Your kingdom be established in and through my life.
May Your power that transcends time and space—the power to reach all 237 nations and 5,000 tribes—rest upon me.
Let this heavenly power come to my life, my soul, and every part of my living.
May unprecedented and never-repeated answers be revealed in my studies, work, church, and mission field.
Let the power of Your divine work cover my past, present, and future.
Grant me the five powers and the strength to overcome the ruler of the kingdom of the air.
Open my spiritual eyes to see the blessing of the CVDIP in advance.
May the strength to build the three courtyards come upon me.

Lead me on the path of the Triune God.
Amid hardships, help me enjoy the Ten Mysteries so I may find the path You are leading me on.
People say and do whatever they think is right. May the Ten Foundations be firmly established in me.
Nothing can defeat the power of the Gospel. May the Five Assurances be the answer for me.
I must change America [replace it with your mission field]. Help me enjoy the Nine Streams of the Throne.
Grant me the answer to enjoy for the rest of my life as I live the life of the evangelist.
I’m going to [replace it with your mission field]. May every place and meeting become the camp of the throne.

May the power of the cross, the power of the blood, come to every place You send me.
May the covenant of the Mount of Olives, the things of the kingdom of God, be fulfilled in every place You send me.
May Your work, which took place in Mark’s Upper Room, take place in every place You send me.
May Your time schedule for Antioch appear.
May Your work, which took place in Asia, Paul’s first mission field, where he could find all the answers, be accomplished.
Help me discover the life-turning point that Paul’s team experienced.
Grant me the grace to see Rome as well.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
