God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24

Hymn
I Will Worship You
Seok Jin Oh · Ha Young Yoo

In the Spirit Lord, I will worship You.
And in truth alone I will worship You.
With the gospel of life, I will worship You.
For You are worthy of all glory, Lord.

Father, Son, and Spirit, I will worship You.
With the covenant, I will worship You.
With the blessing of the throne, I will worship You.
Lord, let your power be revealed through my life.

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn
We Praise You, O God
Julia C. Cory

We praise you, O God, our Redeemer, Creator;
in grateful devotion our tribute we bring;
we lay it before you; we kneel and adore you;
we bless your holy name: glad praises we sing.

We worship you, God of our fathers and mothers;
through life’s storm and tempest our guide you have been;
when perils o’ertake us, you never forsake us,
and with your help, O Lord, our battles we win.

With voices united our praises we offer,
our songs of thanksgiving to you we now raise;
your strong arm will guide us, our God is beside us,
to you, our great Redeemer, forever be praise!

Psalm 148

Leader: Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.
People: Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

Leader: Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
People: Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

Leader: Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for at his command they were created,
People: and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away.

Leader: Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
People: And he has raised up for his people a horn,
the praise of all his faithful servants,
of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord.

Hymn
Lewis E. Jones

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide.
There’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow;
There’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Scripture Reading
Acts 2:1-18
Pastor Francis

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
    I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
    your young men will see visions,
    your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
    I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.

Special Music
Nothing But the Blood of Jesus
Robert Lowry · Worship Team

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

O precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know;
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon this I see:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my cleansing this my plea:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus. [Refrain]

Nothing can for sin atone:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Naught of good that I have done:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus. [Refrain]

This is all my hope and peace:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my righteousness:
Nothing but the blood of Jesus. [Refrain]

The Works That Arose Following the Feasts

Full Transcript

▣ Introduction
1. Restore prayer – Reviving the soul, body, and brain
1) Bartizan (the beginning of answers to prayer) – Thoughts and prayers are imprinted in the soul and the throne and become a bartizan inside me.
2) Journey – From that time, the path becomes visible.
3) Guidepost – The answers Jesus promised come. Evangelism and world missions become visible.

2. This answer came upon Mark’s upper room – Because they were about to walk a difficult path, they needed this power.
1) To overcome the world, a different power is needed – Jesus’ forty days of request.
2) The early church faced its greatest crisis – Condemned as heresy, evangelism forbidden, cut off from society, imprisonment, execution.
3) Do not be deceived by a world where what is wrong is rampant.
(1) Rome – Rome that conquered the world, made nations into colonies, and bought and sold people as slaves.
(2) The theories of the Jews – The idea that you receive salvation by keeping the law, their messiah concept, and their chosen-people concept.
(3) People who give up and run away.

3. He gave an unimaginable promise on Mt Olive, and that word has been fulfilled (Acts 1:8).

▣ Main: The fulfillment of Acts 1:8
1. When the Holy Spirit comes on you (the filling of the Holy Spirit) – Spiritual summit (spiritual king)
1) A royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9) – Because we must proclaim the light in the darkness.
2) A work that no person can stop – “A wind-like and fire-like work” (Acts 2:1–4).
3) The power by which God changes us – To the point that they misunderstood and said, “They have had too much new wine” (Acts 2:13).

2. Go to the ends of the earth – Function summit (king of the field) – Preparing myself, the field, and the future (300%).
1) People from fifteen nations who would evangelize the world – He called them as summits and made their work into summits (Acts 2:9–11).
2) The power to see the future – Children (prophecy), young people (visions), and old people (dreams) (Acts 2:17–18).
3) The word God gave to Joel is now being fulfilled (Acts 2:14–21).
▷ When you believe, a bartizan is formed. The filling of the Holy Spirit is 300%.

3. You will be My witnesses – Culture summit (king who overcomes darkness and saves the world).
1) Three thousand disciples arose (Acts 2:41).
2) The Word came alive and worked. They came to know the preciousness of the church members, the importance of the servants of the Lord, and of prayer (Acts 2:42).
3) The economy of light – Offerings (Acts 2:43–45).
4) The power to save the world – “Every day in the temple and every day in their homes” (Acts 2:46–47).
▷ Joseph, who went as the spiritual summit and held the covenant of “world evangelization,” and Elisha, who asked for a double portion of the spirit – When even one person receives the answer, no matter how deep the darkness, they will win.

▣ Conclusion: Ambassador of Christ
1. Because they did not know the value of the gospel, the Jews, Macedonia, and Rome looked down on them, but the testimony arose all the way to Rome (He prepared every platform for world evangelization).
2. Not knowing that He has called us as a royal priesthood to proclaim the light in the darkness is the greatest sin.
3. Suffering – God’s special timetable (Joseph’s life as a slave, Moses’ years in Midian, Elijah’s fleeing in hiding).
▷ Completion of worship – Hold on to the Word and imprint it through prayer. Confirm what you will put into practice. Confirm to whom you will relay this Word.
God has called you as spiritual summits, function summits, and culture summits who block the crisis. Do not be deceived. Prayer can heal your body, your soul, your thoughts, your heart, and your brain.

Hymn
People of the Covenant
Lee Jang-Hee

Even though I am very weak
God is perfect, God is complete
And though time and again I may fall
He will raise me up again

We’re the people of His Covenant
He is forever with us
Our God works in our lives through His Spirit
In every step we take

No one can ever block the Word of Life
No one can cast aside the Word of God
The gospel of our Lord will be fulfilled
In the name of Jesus Christ

The gospel will be proclaimed
We’re the people of His Covenant
Proclaimed to the very ends of the earth
In every step we take

Prayer · Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Hymn
We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Don Besig · Nancy Price

Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.

And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!

We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail.  Chorus

Benediction
