Praise
Down at the Cross
Written by E. A. Hoffman (1878)
Performed by Phillips, Craig & Dean

Down at the cross where my Savior died
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!

Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!

I am so wondrously saved from sin
Jesus so sweetly abides within
There at the cross where He took me in
Glory to His Name!

Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!

Hallelujah what a saviour
Hallelujah bring Him praise
Hallelujah my redeemer
Glory to His name

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet
Plunge in today, and be made complete
Glory to His Name!

Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name!

Oh Oh Oh!
Glory to His name
We will bring Him praise
Glory to His name

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence, He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Scripture Reading
Exodus 14:1-13

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon. Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this.

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them and said, “What have we done? We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services!” So he had his chariot made ready and took his army with him. He took six hundred of the best chariots, along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them. The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly. The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, horsemen and troops—pursued the Israelites and overtook them as they camped by the sea near Pi Hahiroth, opposite Baal Zephon.

10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

Message
The Temple That Overcomes the Wilderness
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su
full transcript

From the very beginning of the wilderness journey, God designed the temple and tabernacle movement that overcomes the wilderness. He commanded them to bring everything they had and build the tabernacle in the wilderness.

The incident of Eden, the incident of the Nephilim, the incident of the Tower of Babel
All of these are essentially saying, “Do not believe in God.” They said, “You will become like God.” This is always the method Satan uses to destroy people. The Nephilim were people possessed by evil spirits. This is the cause of destruction. People strive to succeed by any means necessary. But that path has completely collapsed. Even now, this is the continuous method of Satan.

Passover (the blood – liberation), Pentecost (the Holy Spirit), the Feast of Ingathering (the throne)
The Passover was the day they were liberated by applying the blood. Pentecost is God’s promise to be with them through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Feast of Ingathering explains the power of the throne. This is the background. Because there is only one way to signify this, God commanded them to build the tabernacle, the temple, and the church.

▣ Introduction – The experience of world evangelization is important (your life itself must become the temple)
1) Genesis 37:1-11 – Joseph, who dreamed of world evangelization
Exodus 3:1-20 – God gave the covenant to Moses and made him experience it
The temple within me – this is the greatest mystery: the temple of God comes upon me.

2) Exodus 5:1-12:46 – People – The temple comes upon the meetings, and the temple of God appears before people

3) Exodus 14:1-13 – The temple came upon the field

▷ You are the temple, and the place where you are is the temple. It is about building the temple in the outside world. Prayer must lead everything.

▣ Main point – Three things happened
1) The tabernacle – Start with the tabernacle movement. This was the method for journeying through the wilderness
(1) Live centered on the tabernacle in your daily life
(2) Live your life of faith centered on the tent of meeting
(3) Center your dwelling – every tent entrance was positioned toward the tabernacle

2) The temple – Bringing people to it
(1) Prepare the three courtyards
(2) Open the three-day weekend age. Spiritual problems must be healed
(3) The holy meditation age is finding what is hidden

3) The church – Saving the world (becoming globalized)
(1) Establish the bartizan of the throne
(2) Lead them on the journey
(3) Set up the guidepost

▣ Conclusion – Solving the three things that are not working
1) Poverty – Israel, who gave the most offerings, received the greatest economic blessings. Israel, who worshiped the most, conquered the intellect of the world. Restore offering through true prayer

2) Disease – “Cross the Red Sea.” “Cross the Jordan with the tabernacle at the center, with the Ark of the Covenant.” “Destroy Jericho.” When the allied forces attacked, God gave an unprecedented answer. Caleb alone conquered the hill country of the Anakites, which no one else could enter

3) Incompetence – Evangelism is not happening, and the church is not coming alive. Remnants have no strength, and if they remain as slaves to the world, they cannot save it. You must receive answers

▷ You must stake your life and leave behind something for your lifetime. You must not pass down poverty, disease, and incompetence to the next generation.
