When Is the Power of God Revealed?

Matthew 28:18-20. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

As we truly come to know who we are and who Jesus Christ is, and as we grow in that understanding, we begin to experience God’s power and blessings. This begins when human beings come to know where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going.

Therefore, we must first remember seven facts that give the answer to all of life. First, originally, human beings were created in the image of God. We were created to live in fellowship with God and to conquer the world by the power that God gives.

Second, however, human beings were deceived by the invisible devil and committed sin, leaving God. As a result, the image of God became darkened, and the human spirit came into a state of death.

Third, from that moment on, anxiety, curses, fear, defeat, suffering, and death continually entered human life. From the time humanity left God, these dark spiritual problems began.

Fourth, people struggle through life in many ways on this earth, living like strangers and travelers. Then one day, they face death and go to their spiritual homeland. God’s children go to God’s kingdom, but those who have left God go to hell together with the devil.

Fifth, therefore, God came to this earth to restore His image in us.

Sixth, Jesus Christ is true God and true man. Because God came in a human body, the spirit of Jesus is truly God, and His body came as a sinless true man. Therefore, He could deliver us from the hand of Satan, and He could die in our place for our sins.

Seventh and finally, when we receive the resurrected Jesus Christ, who is eternal life, into our hearts as our Savior, our life, and our true Lord, then all the problems of our lives are solved. Be certain of these seven facts contained in the gospel and enjoy new blessings as children of God.

Once we enjoy the gospel, the blessing of Immanuel, and the blessings of being children of God, we can live in that blessing. However, there are three obstacles that hinder us from enjoying these blessings. Therefore, you must begin three battles.

The greatest obstacle to enjoying the gospel and the blessings of being God’s children is actually ourselves. Our own thoughts, the standards we have formed while living, and our own timetable become the problem. Because we think, judge, decide, and act according to our own thoughts, standards, and plans, we fail to enjoy the tremendous blessings in the gospel. Instead, we continue to live in worry, discouragement, and failure.

So how can we win the battle with ourselves? Simply put, we must change the master of our lives. If until now we ourselves have been the master of our lives, then from now on we must accept Christ as our Lord, entrust all our lives to Him, rely on Him, and walk together with Him.

Then we will overcome our limitations and our level, and experience victory. Entrust your environment to the Lord and discover His plan. Rather than seeking our own will, seek God’s perfect will. Rather than trusting our own plans, believe that God’s plan is more perfect.

Our stubbornness and our own thoughts bring no real benefit. May our lives become lives that completely entrust ourselves to the Lord. When we truly trust God, God will also take full responsibility for our lives and work in them.

In the last days, we must fight Satan, who continues trying to deceive us. Even though we are in Christ, Satan still tries to deceive, tempt, and attack us. With our own strength, we cannot overcome Satan’s temptations and attacks. But Jesus Christ, who is in us, has already defeated the authority of Satan. You will be victorious in every spiritual battle against Satan.

In John 1:12, it says that God gives us not only the status of being His children but the authority to become children of God.

In Matthew 28:18, Christ, who possesses all authority in heaven and on earth, promised to be with us always.

In Mark 1:27, we see even demons submitting before Jesus Christ.

In 1 John 3:8, it says, “The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil.”

And in John 16:24, Jesus promised that when we pray in His name, God will answer our prayers.

Therefore, we will overcome all of Satan’s deception, temptation, and attacks, receive answers to prayer, and live victorious lives.

Third, it is the battle with the world. The battle with the world does not mean a physical fight. The world we live in includes our family life, workplace life, social life, and every part of our daily living. The most important answer to living victoriously in this world is living a life led by the Holy Spirit.

If until now we have lived according to our own thoughts, plans, and methods, then from now on we must hold onto the Word given in worship and seek God’s will through prayer and meditation on that Word. When we pray to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God will perfectly guide our lives.

In John 14:16, Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, will protect us, give us grace, teach us, and be with us forever.

In John 14:26, it says the Holy Spirit will remind us of everything and guide our lives.

In Matthew 12:28, Jesus said: “If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” As we receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit, God’s kingdom will come upon our families, our workplaces, and every part of our lives.

May God’s kingdom come upon our families, may our workplaces become places of God’s kingdom, and may God’s kingdom come upon the hearts of our children. As we pray and enjoy the blessings of God’s kingdom, we will be victorious in the world.

Finally, when does God’s power begin in our lives?

From the moment we become children of God and our original sin problem is solved, God’s blessing and power have already come to us. When we begin to resolve the noise of unbelief within us, God’s power will begin to manifest in our lives.

If we repent of the unbelief that made us rely on ourselves and instead trust and depend only on God, then God’s power will begin to appear in our lives. Even the suffering, persecution, illness, and frustration that come to us now contain God’s good plan.

When we discover God’s purpose in our lives and the greater meaning of where we are placed, and begin to pray for that purpose, then God’s power will come upon every place we are and everything we do.

May you be victorious through Jesus Christ, and as you win the three battles,
I bless you in the name of the Lord to live as powerful and victorious Christians.
