Throne 24, 25, Eternity

Prayer Journal: November 14, 2025
27. Aug. 2024 237 Tuesday Disciple Training, Lecture 2
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:1-13

You don’t have to clap. If you force it, it’s tiring, right? And if you clap too zealously, it can look like North Korea. Let’s offer a round of applause of glory to our God. Hallelujah!

Newcomers often don’t know how to pray. If you understand why you should pray, you end up praying. To be honest, even church leaders are often not praying well. It’s hard to generalize, but if a few church leaders become people of prayer, the session will be completely different. If even one or two church leaders pray as in the Bible, the people around you cannot help but become like Gaius or like the couple Priscilla and Aquila. If pastors know the secret of prayer, there’s truly nothing to worry about. The Jews had set-times of prayer, yet they did not know the background of prayer nor what prayer is. So we must know what prayer actually is. Of course, we say, “Prayer is to God”—that’s right; but is there any religion that has no prayer? They all do. Therefore we must know the true substance of our prayer. Why should we pray? Where is the place where human destiny is decided? Who is the true subject that moves history? Once you know that, you understand how you must proceed. That is why Jesus explained for forty days. Knowing and doing this—this is prayer. Next time I will speak about revival; it will certainly happen. Now you must make a new start.

Introduction – Check (Assurance)
Then first we should check and have some assurance.

1. General blessings
Concerning the throne, the Bible also speaks in general terms. We should note these.
(1) King (1 Kings 10:18–21) – Why is it precious? Because in Scripture the seat on which the king sits is also called a throne. It is to enjoy this blessing. 1 Kings 10:18–21 calls it the place of the throne.
(2) Governor (Nehemiah 3:7) – In ancient times, Nehemiah 3:7 describes even the seat where the governor sat as a throne. It is that important a seat.
(3) Priest (1 Samuel 4:13) – In 1 Samuel 4:13 the seat on which the priest sat is also described as a throne. Isn’t that right? The seat you are enjoying is a throne.
(4) Honored guest (2 Kings 4:10) – In 2 Kings 4:10 even the seat for a special honored guest is called a throne. Scripture expresses it this way.

2. The true throne
But we know the true throne. This is more important.
(1) Where God is enthroned (Psalm 9:4; Isaiah 6:1) – It is where God is seated. If so, prayer is tremendous. To say that prayer moves the throne means you know prayer. Psalm 9:4. And in Isaiah 6:1, when God appeared to Isaiah, He first showed him the throne. He showed God seated in power on the throne and the angels.
(2) History (Isaiah 66:1; Matthew 5:34) – Whenever God surely works, He shows this aspect. Isaiah 66:1 shows the work of the God seated on the throne becoming present. Matthew 5:34 records likewise.
(3) The temple (Ezekiel 43:7) – And the power that comes upon the temple is said to be the power of the throne. Therefore worship is everything. Apart from this time, the power of the throne cannot come. Ezekiel 43:7. Such is the immense power of the true throne.

An incomparable background + an ever-present background + an eternal background
– Heavenly / Thronely / Eternally
Jesus explained this for forty days. The power of this throne is an incomparable background. There is no background greater than this. On the day we die—our destiny at the end of life—is decided at the throne and worked out from there. And this background is an ever-present background. So there is no need to worry further. It is an eternal background. Jesus did not explain a blessing that appears and disappears; He explained this for forty days. This includes all. So we use the words Heavenly , Thronely , and Eternally . I heard someone say “Eternally” is an incorrect word, and that someone got scolded by a linguistics expert. As you know, “eternal” is an adjective; add “-ly” and it becomes an adverb; then a verb should follow. If it’s used poetically in song with “-ly,” the action can be implied without being stated. We chose to use them together like this. More importantly, when you enter a tremendous spiritual stage, we can even coin words. Isn’t that so? A poet creates. In calligraphy, those who don’t know just scribble. Those trained write in established styles. But those who have gone higher write freely as they please. It’s that level. Music is the same. I showed a composition; our expert Jin-Uk Jung said, “This key doesn’t match.” Of course—he’s a pro. He’s the one who balances everything backstage when the (formerly) city choir conducted by Maestro Myung-Whun Chung performs. That’s his level. He listened and said, “The key center doesn’t quite fit.” Exceptionally outstanding people can do such things. So last year I entrusted him with our piece. We auditioned submissions this year, but the lyrics didn’t match; though the melodies were all good. We were in a rush, so I asked Jin-Uk to compose within a week; he delivered in less than three days. That’s the song we’re singing now. I’ve digressed explaining this far.

3. The believer’s crisis
More importantly, when a believer faces crisis, this aspect is always present and also recorded.
(1) Isaiah 6:1 – When Israel faced a great crisis, God seated on the throne explained to Isaiah.
(2) Acts 7:54–60 – In Acts 7, with one message Stephen left an eternal answer. At that scene, the Lord Jesus stood at the right hand of the throne—this is the weight of our background.
(3) Revelation 8:3–5 – In Revelation 8 the Apostle John met an extreme situation. Imagine being isolated alone on a rocky island—what a circumstance. At that time, God seated on the throne appeared. He showed that all your prayers are stored in bowls. He showed that those who carry them are not ordinary people but the Lord’s angels. It’s a tremendous realm. That is prayer. Prayer is everything.

Main – Enjoy prayer completely
Therefore, what must we teach the saints? And what must you also do? Enjoy prayer completely. Enjoy it to the point of overcoming everything. Enjoy that which cannot help but be answered.
How do we “enjoy”? We know this well, but knowing this background, works are happening even now. If you know: ① Within me —what you must most enjoy is the power of the throne coming upon me, 24 . Just enjoy this. In my case, I don’t have fixed-hour prayer now; I just pray. I used to pray at set times, but I couldn’t keep it well. I don’t always rise at the same time; trying to fit prayers in between made prayer feel like a burden. If prayer becomes a burden to me, isn’t that wrong? It must be the happiest thing. And remember: this is the field standard . ② Upon the field —it must be the journey of the throne coming upon the field. We call this 25 , and we confirm it. It’s prayer. It’s real. You wait for God’s working. Once you taste it, it is uncommon happiness and uncommon power. You will come to know it. You will see your disciples, your church, and our evangelism teams carrying out world evangelization before your eyes. And then, what is it? It comes upon the church . ③ It becomes the guidepost of the throne coming upon the church. I will speak about this in the second hour. This is that “it cannot help but happen.” This is eternity . We must teach this.

1. The power of the throne coming upon me – 24

1) Spirit
24—the Triune God works by the Spirit . So it is exact. “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” This is prayer that enjoys the throne.

2) The work of the kingdom
And what is it? God comes to me by the work of His kingdom . Within me—remember this.

3) Three destinies
It is power that overturns the three destinies . What three? Your past, today, and future do not disappear. We often have more problems; then our past problems, today’s problems, tomorrow’s problems—these cannot be removed by us. Only the power of the throne removes them. Enjoy this by prayer.

4) Five strengths – 300%
To enjoy with the five strengths so that it becomes 300% —that is prayer. Throne-prayer: I will explain shortly in the next session.

5) The ruler of the air
More important—the Satan . We don’t merely “win.” We overcome the ruler of the power of the air .

6) CVDIP
From then on, CVDIP —to see the future in advance—becomes visible. This comes upon me. Then you need not worry, “What should I do going forward?” Joseph was working as a slave, but this answer came upon him. That’s enough. Prison is a hard place, but there this power came upon him—upon Joseph personally. The trait of this is that others will come to perceive it, but at first no one knows .

7) Three courtyards
And at last, three courtyards are established—in your person, home, industry, and church across the world. Not just any courts. When these are formed across the world, we call that missions . We must enjoy this prayer.

2. The journey of the throne coming upon the field – 25
Now when this power comes upon me and I go on the journey, it cannot be done without the power of the throne. This is then the journey .

1) Three roads
There are three roads by which this Spirit comes. Do not miss them: fulfillment of the Word , answers to prayer , and the work of salvation . Follow these. These three are being accomplished even now—surely fulfilled. Can we miss this? To “wait” means to see this.

2) Footing of the throne
At this time, what emerges for us? The footing of the throne is formed. These are the ten footings .

3) Secret of the throne
The secret of the throne appears in the field—these are the ten secrets .

4) Assurance of the throne
The assurance that descends from the throne appears. Not merely assurance— the background of the throne . Simply put, God gives it .

5) Flow of the throne
And what then? There is no need to fight at all, nor to be discouraged. It is the flow of the throne . With this, overturn the flow. Wait.

6) Answer for life
Then what arises? What is the greatest mission I can receive and give? Especially, what is most important for pastors—what must I receive and pass on? It is this sixth point: the answer for a lifetime . “I met a pastor and found the answer for life”—that is normal. The biggest problem in the church now is that elites and capable people do not find answers from the pulpit but go outside to find them. That is the problem. No— we must receive the answer from the throne and rule the world ; otherwise we can only follow the world. They don’t say it, but they suffer. They excuse it as “the church doesn’t fit me,” or “the church level is low,” but those are excuses, not answers. We truly must do this. It’s not the same old talk. We go step by step.

7) Throne-camp
Then what? Every field of yours is a camp of the throne . Not just any camp. Unbelievers also run “camps,” but camp is originally a biblical term—going forth to shine the light . Go like this.

3. The guidepost of the throne coming upon the church – Eternity
From now—though I will speak more next time, I will introduce only the title—you must now make important guideposts . What guideposts?

1) John 19:30
John 19:30— make this . “It is finished.” Yet we are looking for something else. If Christ really is not your answer, you wander here and there. If Christ really doesn’t help you, why wander so with theology? Theology exists to live the Christian life well. Theology exists to explain Scripture well. Scripture exists to explain the gospel. If you cannot get the answer there, it’s a problem. Settle the answer early. As for me, how did I settle it? “It is finished” yet there are problems— that is the blessing . I’m sorry to say, all those answers came. Truly. Our family had no ability—we were poor, sick— all of that came to me as answer. In one church I saw such humanism at work—I found all my answers there. In another church the elders were so overbearing— they will all collapse —I found my answers there. In another church the pastors did whatever they pleased—I found my answers there. Why? Because it is finished ; and when I’m shown what is not good, that itself is the answer . If there is a lock, then there is a key. Is there any lock in the world with no key? You begin to see this.

2) Acts 1:1–8
Next, what guidepost do we make? The absolute mission —Mount of Olives, the absolute experience .

3) Acts 2:1–47
Here we see everything. The Mark’s upper room —everything starts there. There’s nothing more to seek.

4) Acts 11:19
Then what? Antioch appears—not just any Antioch, but those who were scattered gathered. Not just any scattered people—those scattered because of Stephen’s event. That settles it. Let’s take a short break and continue next hour. The next hour relates to revival , because we must save .

5) Acts 13:1–4
Something very, very important—Acts 13:1–4. Do everything like this. Start here. The guidance of the Holy Spirit. Do all professions like this. Do every field like this. Do every camp like this. Do all missions like this. It is certain. No matter how smart or accomplished, because we are in God’s Word, we must follow the Word. Yet, unexpectedly many do not receive the Spirit’s guidance; they receive the guidance of their own thoughts . Unexpectedly, many elders—precious people—keep receiving other guidance. We must receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The precious Remnants must be led by the Spirit; if they receive other guidance, it cannot be. What is the best way to be led? We do not know. Young adults ask me to officiate their weddings; some say, “I will wait for any date you choose, Pastor.” Then I feel burdened, right? Without realizing, I schedule them first. The best Christian life is: “I will go by God’s guidance.” “I will stop until God gives a sure answer.” Then nothing can stop you. Paul did this—he held on even with fasting. Because it was the first mission field, the Spirit worked completely— work, place, people . Many don’t do this. It’s truly regrettable. If you just receive guidance once, you can keep going; but if you go the wrong way in the opposite direction, you keep going—and the farther you go, the greater the loss.

6) Acts 16:6–10
What then? We always need renewal and turning points . So God entrusted Macedonia to Paul—in fact, He entrusted everything. This is our guidepost.

7) Acts 19:1–7
And what? Going to Rome is important, but more important is this: simply put, he experienced all the works that had taken place at Calvary / Mount of Olives / Mark’s upper room . He could not but win.

Conclusion: The Throne
Now, what happens when you go with the throne ? What happens when you enjoy this blessing? Exactly one thing— this happens.

1. Exodus 14:19
The angel of the LORD went before Moses—and not only that—the angel of the LORD went behind Moses; front and back, left and right . When a foreign president visits, it’s important—he must not be harmed—so he’s guarded front and back. Guarding only one side won’t do. He is guarded on all sides. If a president visits and dies in an accident, that’s no small problem. Right? On your journey, God sends His angel before and behind. You may not believe, but you must believe. If you don’t, you say absurd things: “It would be better to go back to Egypt than die in the wilderness.” Ninety percent agreed with such nonsense; all the people trembled. Why were they shaken by such words? “We chose the wrong leader”—they grumbled against Moses. They agreed. It’s lamentable. If even one person were clear-headed, they wouldn’t do that. Even without faith, if at least one righteous person stood up: “Even if we die here, our descendants must step on our backs and go to Canaan!” But they said, “Isn’t it better to eat a little and die in Egypt than to die here?”—hard to answer that. There are many such church members; it’s truly lamentable. Raise disciples. Disciples who follow God’s Word —not a pastor. Disciples who follow the Word. Is there really so much problem? Those who have never done evangelism or missions can never accomplish world evangelization in a single church. Remember this.

2. Psalm 103:20–22
Look at David. To David who enjoyed the power of the throne, this happened: “You His angels, mighty in strength , who perform His word… bless the LORD… all you His hosts… all you works of His in all places of His dominion—bless the LORD.” Indeed. Things like this—other things—happen. If you truly believe now, as you sit in this important seat and offer this important Lord’s Day worship, when you hold the important covenant this happens. Only believers don’t believe; but Scripture says so. Pastors and elders don’t believe; but Scripture says so. Why don’t they believe? Because they cannot see it. If you will not believe what is unseen, what then? You might as well pull out your mind and soul—because they’re unseen. If you deny the unseen at that level, humans will live like beasts. Beasts do that.

3. 2 Kings 19:35
“That night”— this night —when King Hezekiah faced the wall and prayed. Why the wall? Scripture says so—because it cannot be done looking at people. “That night”—that is, at the time Hezekiah prayed—God sent His angel . Simply put, He sent the angel who “takes lives”—the same angel who will bring us home. He sent the angel, and he took all their lives.

4. Daniel 10:10–20
When Daniel prayed—during his 21-day set prayer—the archangel later said, after fighting and overcoming the resisting powers, “From the first day you set your heart to pray, I was sent .” Once you begin, you are sent. These are spiritual matters.

5. Acts 1:11
Even see Acts 1:11—an important scene. As they came down from the Mount of Olives—now something must begin. At that time, the men in white said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky?”—at the time Jesus ascended. “What is this?” “This Jesus whom you saw will come in the same way .” They planted assurance.

6. Acts 12:1–25
Acts 12:1–25— at such a time . You’re not here to earn money, right? You’re not here to seek votes by politics, right? You came here to find the Word in order to carry out world evangelization. We came to unite our strength in prayer. At that time , God sent His angel. He even took Herod away—the ringleader of persecution. Such things also happen.

7. Acts 27:24
A familiar passage—when they were about to die in the storm; 276 lives faced death. God sent His angel . Right? “The angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me .” Why? Not because of 276 people. Even if there were 2,000 on board, it wouldn’t be because of that. Not “because of Paul,” either—pastors can die when it’s time. Why then? “ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar .” As long as your mission remains, there is no problem. As long as there remains the work of preaching the gospel. “The 5,000 tribes” is not a word anyone can casually use. Because you can do it, God makes us understand. Because this is a place where multiethnic peoples can gather, God speaks.

I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ: may the mission to restore prayer and to restore others to prayer arise in you. Let’s rest ten minutes and then speak about what true revival is—we need to discuss it. A ten-minute break.
