The End of All Your Problems

John 1:12. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Receiving and believing in Jesus as the Christ marks the end of your long-standing problems—Satan, sin, and hell (John 1:12). Why? Because in Christ there is life, and that life is the light. When the light shines in the darkness, the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:4–5).

So why do believers still struggle and fail in life? It is because they do not do “whatever Jesus tells them” (John 2:5). He is not the Lord of their lives. As a result, they wander, trying to steer their lives according to the ways of the world. Joy, peace, and rest become distant or entirely absent.

Sadly, many turn to religion and miraculous signs (John 3:2), without understanding what truly matters—the new birth through the Spirit (John 3:5). Instead of finding security in Christ, they rely on their own efforts, which only lead to discouragement and despair.

In their desperation, some chase after beliefs rooted in myths and physical experiences (John 4:19): superstitions, idols, blind faith, religious extremism, humanism, and mysticism. Satan uses these as tools to destroy lives.

Receiving Christ means receiving life. Until that life is received, everything one does is in vain: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life” (John 6:63). Life changes everything. That is why Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Ultimately, everything depends not on what you do, but on who you are. When you receive life in Christ, God gives you a new identity as His child. The moment you become a child of God is the moment the power of Satan, sin, and hell loses its grip on your life.

Remember, you possess life. The Holy Spirit dwells in you and will lead you to victory in every area of your life. Make Christ the center of your life, and cast off your anxiety, your problems, and the burden of your sins. Let go of your stubbornness. Throw away your worries, negativity, and pessimism. Stop relying on your own strength or experiences. Cast aside all unbelief—because the Holy Spirit within you is perfect.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for settling all my problems through Christ on the cross. By Your grace, I now possess life. Remind me of my true identity in every circumstance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
