Romans 8:1-2. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Receiving Jesus as the Christ is receiving life: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).
When you believed, a new life with Christ began. Every day is now a celebration with Him in His kingdom. Because of Christ, you have life to the full (John 10:10), and you will become His witness, testifying to this life.
Remember, nothing can destroy you. God’s Spirit lives in you and will never leave you. It is the Spirit that gives life (John 6:63).
You may fail, but God never does. Through Christ, God has set you free from the law of sin and death that once brought spiritual death, disaster and failure into your life.
Life has power. Because you now possess life, the power of God will be displayed in your life as you hold onto His Word and devote yourself to prayer (Acts 1:14).
Nothing can stop the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised (Acts 2:1–4). No one can shut the door God has opened for you (Revelation 3:8).
Unbelievers walk the path of eternal destruction because they do not have this life. But why do so many believers still fail in life?
It’s because they do not know what God has already given them through Christ: life and power. As a result, they grieve and quench the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:19). They do what the Spirit doesn’t want and neglect what the Spirit desires.
Many believers are not led by the Spirit of God. That’s why they end up living like unbelievers—seeking the very things that fill the minds of those who don’t know God. This is the tragic reality of many believers today.
Listen to what Jesus said: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26).
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come” (John 16:13).
So, do not worry about anything. You are a child of the Most High God, the Creator of the universe. You are precious and honored in His sight. God loves you and would give anything in exchange for you (Isaiah 43:3).
Through Christ, God has permanently changed your destiny. You are no longer a child of the devil. God has adopted you into His family and given you the Spirit that declares you are His chosen child. The Spirit Himself speaks to your spirit, confirming that you are God’s child (Romans 8:15–16).
God has also transformed your mind and heart. You are no longer a slave to sin but a servant of righteousness. In the past, sin controlled you. But through Christ, you were set free from sin and became a slave to His righteousness (Romans 6:17–18).
Now, freed from the power of sin, you are a servant of God, living only for Him. The outcome is eternal life (Romans 6:22).
God is inviting you into the best life—a life led by the Holy Spirit. You once lived as the world does, following the ruler of the powers of the air. That same spirit is now at work in those who refuse to obey God (Ephesians 2:2). But now you are a new creation in Christ.
Let the Spirit lead you, for you are not under the law (Galatians 5:18). He will take you places you never imagined—even to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Prayer. Father, I thank You for Jesus—His life and His power. His life and power are all I need. Help me experience them in every circumstance today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
