Call to Worship

Hymn
I Will Worship You
Seok Jin Oh · Ha Young Yoo

In the Spirit Lord, I will worship You.
And in truth alone I will worship You.
With the gospel of life, I will worship You.
For You are worthy of all glory, Lord.

Father, Son, and Spirit, I will worship You.
With the covenant, I will worship You.
With the blessing of the throne, I will worship You.
Lord, let your power be revealed through my life.

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence, He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn
Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
Reginald Heber

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, Holy, Holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy—there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Psalm 106:4-12

Leader: Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people,
People: Come to my aid when you save them,

Leader: that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,
People: that I may share in the joy of your nation,

Leader: and join your inheritance in giving praise.
People: We have sinned, even as our ancestors did;

Leader: We have done wrong and acted wickedly.
People: When our ancestors were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles;

Leader: They did not remember your many kindnesses,
People: and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.

Leader: Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,
People: to make his mighty power known.

Leader: He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up;
People: He led them through the depths as through a desert.

Leader: He saved them from the hand of the foe;
People: from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.

Leader: The waters covered their adversaries;
People: not one of them survived.

Leader: Then they believed his promises
People: and sang his praise.

Hymn
Are You Washed in the Blood?
E. A. Hoffman

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless?
Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?  Chorus

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?   Chorus

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin.
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb!
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean.
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!   Chorus

Scripture Reading
Psalm 23:1-6
Jerica Saunders

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Special Music
There is a Redeemer
Melody Green · Worship Team

There is a Redeemer,
Jesus God’s own Son,
Precious Lamb of God,
Messiah, Holy One.

Thank You, O my Father
For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit ’til
Your work on earth is done.

Jesus my Redeemer,
Name above all names,
Precious Lamb of God,
Messiah, O for sinners slain.  Chorus

When I stand in glory
I will see His face,
And there I’ll serve
My King forever,
In that holy place.  Chorus

Message
All the Hardships That Began for David Became Blessings
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su
Full Transcript

▣ Introduction: What We Must First Tell the Remnants
1. Remnants, do not worry about success. Become the spiritual summit first.
1) Become a person of praise and a person of prayer who holds the sure covenant from childhood.
2) Possess the skill to defeat lions and bears.
3) Make 300% before graduation.

2. Remnants, do not fear false accusations and persecution.
1) King Saul possessed by an evil spirit – a person tormented by an evil spirit became seized by Satan after being wounded.
2) David faced countless hardships and crises of death but kept escaping them.
▷ The leisure of David who cut Saul’s robe without killing his enemy is something our remnants must learn.

3. Remnants, do not worry about the future. You have a separate background.
1) The absolute bartizan of prayer – he possessed this bartizan when he was a shepherd.
2) The bartizan of power – he had the bartizan of power when he fought Goliath.
3) The bartizan of the future – he clearly held the bartizan of the future when he met Samuel.

▣ Main Point: David’s Confession of Faith
▷ When you pray out loud, tremendous healing occurs in the brain. If you look at the confessions of faith of people of faith, they memorized much of the Word.

1. “I lack nothing.”
1) What King Saul, the officials, and the many crowds seek, the conspiracies they devise and calculate—“I do not need that.”
2) I am not going to succeed or become famous. I am going to save the people who have collapsed behind me.

2. “Because the Lord is my Shepherd” – David knew the way to be led by God
1) “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear.”
2) “The Lord is my fortress, my shield, my refuge, and my King.” “Even if my parents abandon me, the Lord will not abandon me.”
3) “Your rod and Your staff protect me.” – God’s guidance (rod) and protection (staff)

3. “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” – the background of enjoying the power of the throne
1) Enjoying the throne, the Kingdom, and His work (Psalms 103:20-22) – “Bless the Lord, you His angels who fulfill His Word, you heavenly hosts who are in the place where God leads, you heavenly hosts who fulfill God’s will, bless the Lord.”
2) David who built 1,000 bartizans
3) David who built the eternal bartizan – he perfectly prepared for the construction of the temple.

▣ Conclusion
1. Every covenant of the gospel becomes power, and every hardship becomes a blessing.

2. Enjoy the happy blessing.
1) Daily (Psalms 5:3 morning, Psalms 17:3 night, Psalms 23:1 day)
2) Every hour – you must gain strength.
3) In everything – you must find the 300% answer.

3. You must receive God’s blessing to the extent that you save world evangelization and the 5,000 tribes.
1) The church leader who saved Luther
2) The hospital and church built through mission offering
3) The offering of the 15 nations’ industrial workers in the early church – this became the beginning of world evangelization.
4) The Antioch Church – God blessed them so much that they could help the Jerusalem Church and other churches during the famine.

Prayer

Hymn
We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Don Besig · Nancy Price

Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.

And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!

We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail.  Chorus
