「The Path to World Missions」 (Mal 3:1-10)
Malachi 3:1-10
01 “I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.
02 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.
03 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,
04 and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
05 “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty.
06 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
07 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’
08 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings.
09 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Today we must confirm the covenant that receives a lifetime of blessing. Some people say money is everything. Such people cannot become wealthy. The system of money is important (economics). If you don’t understand economics, even having money won’t help. However, realistically, we need economic power to do work and give offerings. So there are a few things we must make certain of right now.
▣ Introduction
1. Holy Spirit fullness – 3x
Holy Spirit fullness means going three times ahead of others. Jesus looked ahead thousands of years and promised world evangelization, and it is being fulfilled even now. This is 300%.
The Remnant must quickly surpass what they are studying now and create things for the field. When going out, one must already be holding the future.
2. Offering – 3 economies
You must have faith in your heart that offerings are extremely important. When our nation was ruined, foreigners gave offerings and built churches and schools in our country. Seeing offerings as important is how the 3 economies are restored. You must know their value.
▷ You must prepare to use everything you learn in school for evangelism. Then God will give answers beyond what you can handle. 300%. Do not be impatient about what is not working right now, and have spiritual composure. The evangelist, during his student days, had no money and walked to the field carrying books, and prepared for the future.
3. Order – 5 powers
There is an order. Spiritual power must come upon me. From that comes intellectual power, physical power, and economic power. Human resources follow.
You must know the principle of the tithe.
1. Tribe Among the 12 tribes, the Levite tribe was designated only for worship. The land was given only to the 11 tribes. They farmed that land and brought it to the Levite tribe.
2. Event When major events such as Passover were held, the tithe was given. Now offerings are given for mission conferences and Remnant conference invitations. That is blessing.
3. Temple (Tabernacle) The tithe was given when building the temple and tabernacle. In Malachi, God said to test whether or not He pours out blessing when you give the tithe. One should give in offerings more than one spends on oneself. Then God opens many doors and gives blessing. Then poverty flees.
▣ Main – The Way
1. 24 Torches
Giving the tithe means raising up people to light the 24 torches.
1) Tabernacle Light 24 torches of prayer in the tabernacle.
2) Garment The names of the 12 tribes are written on the priest’s garment. Pray for all the people of every tribe.
3) Night When night comes, light the torches outside too. But the torches inside must burn day and night. Do not extinguish the fire of prayer. What is given so that those people can do this is the tithe.
2. 24 Highway
1) Three-day weekend Open the three-day weekend age in which 24 is possible.
2) Three courtyards With the offerings you give, people must be able to come to the three courtyards and do 24.
3) Holy meditation age People must come and be able to do 24. Why? Culture must be healed. Old things and background must be healed. Spiritual illness must be healed. This is the tithe.
3. 24 Mission – The Way to Enjoy the Blessing
12 people / 1 person
When 12 people gather, raise up one missionary. This is the way. When 12 families gather, raise up one person among the multi-ethnic peoples. It doesn’t cost much money.

“The Way of World Mission” (Malachi 3:1-10)
Today we will look at the important matter called the way of world mission. Anyone wants to live well. Today you all must actually confirm the covenant that receives a lifetime of blessing. Some people say this: “Money is everything.” That is what they say. That is probably what they say because they spend money, because they can spend it. Such people cannot become wealthy. The system of money is important. What we look at as the system of money is called economics. If you don’t understand economics, even having money won’t help. Also, many people find it difficult when it comes to money in various ways – getting deceived, deceiving others, all kinds of things happen. However, realistically, it is true that we need economic power to do work and to give offerings. So there are a few things we must make certain of right now.
▣ Introduction
1. Holy Spirit fullness – 3x
Holy Spirit fullness means going three times ahead of others. Jesus looked ahead thousands of years when He said this. He promised world evangelization, and it is still being fulfilled even now.
300%
This is what we call 300%. When this happens, we have the blessing of going three times ahead. The Remnant must especially remember this. You study hard and want to graduate well, but you must quickly surpass that. Quickly surpass it and create things for the field. Isn’t the place that does that well Harvard University? And when going out, you must already be holding the future. You may want to ask, “What does that mean?” But if you pray, it is easy.
2. Offering – 3 economies
And you must have faith in your heart that what is called an offering is extremely important. When our nation was ruined, foreigners gave offerings and built churches and schools in our country. Our nation is not a simple nation right now. It won’t be simple going forward either. It is not simple because it is a nation that must carry out world evangelization. Strangely, many winds are blowing in Korea right now. If you see this as important, the 3 economies are restored. You must know the value. As for me, I think offerings are the most important thing. You can trace my offerings once. I give the most, treating them as most precious. Even from when I was young, my mother was like that. It is the most important. Ever since I realized this, I have never experienced economic hardship. Not even once. So it is something extremely important. So you must firmly hold onto the covenant.
The most important thing is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and go three times ahead. This is truly much easier and more grace-filled. Everything learned in school – I prepared how I could properly do evangelism with it. It was 100% in my own way. I collected all the church bulletins from across the nation, and I visited every field at every school. It wasn’t difficult; it was full of grace. Really full of grace. And now I had prepared the future – what kind of evangelism I should do going forward. Unconditionally. Someone with as little character as me receives answers beyond what I can handle. 300%.
The Remnant must remember this. Don’t be deceived by lies. If you do it according to the Bible, it is very easy. The only thing holding you back is that without composure, things become too difficult and your composure disappears. You need the composure to wait while saying 300% right now, but since that’s lacking, it can be difficult. But in my case, since I came this way from the beginning (Holy Spirit fullness – 3x, 300%), I have composure. But others may not have it. In that case, it is actually better.
In my case, when I was a student, things didn’t work out. But I found something truly wonderful. Others were spending money and going places, but I had no money. I would literally walk, leave my school bag at the church, and go to the field carrying the books I needed to read. Every day. I saw so many important things at the field. And reading books – there are so many important things. Which is more beneficial? I am far more benefited. That’s how I prepared for the field 100%. It’s not difficult. Do it. It is Jesus’ promise. “If you receive the Holy Spirit fullness, you will receive power and be witnesses.” He said so.
3. Order – 5 powers
And in this there is an order. I discovered that order, and it is the 5 powers. Spiritual power must come upon me. Spiritual power. Intellectual power must come from within that. What comes from other places won’t do. Physical power must come from within the spiritual power. That is the exact order. When that happens, economic power comes out of it. When economic power comes, human resources follow. That is the order. So you must recover this through prayer.
Among these, an important thing came up today. The topic of the tithe came up. It came up, and we need to resolve this before moving on. I have heard famous pastors in Korea preach about the tithe several times. Some say, “You must give the tithe,” and others come out publicly and say, “Is this blackmail? What is this? This is like saying ‘just wait and see’ – how can you extort a tithe this way?” That is also a ridiculous thing to say. You can’t look at the Word of God and say, “Are you threatening me?” What do you think?
[Principle]
We truly need to return to the Bible and understand the principle. We need to know the principle of why the Bible speaks of the tithe. There are many, but broadly there are three.
[1. Tribe]
Among the 12 tribes that serve God, one tribe was designated only for worship. That is the Levite tribe. So no land was given to the Levite tribe at all. “Don’t farm; you must only worship.” The land was given to the 11 tribes. So those people hold the land of the Levite tribe. “Farm the land and bring a tenth. Then it becomes equal. And that person prays spiritually on your behalf.” That principle is the first principle. Has that principle disappeared now? It still exists today. You go out and work, and you support many servants of the Lord, then the many workers, the choir members – you back them up so they can function. Right? The servants of the Lord receive that physical support and pray over spiritual matters.
That principle hasn’t changed. What is there to argue about? “The early church had no instruction to give tithes.” Jesus also said something. The early church had no need to speak of the tithe because they gave nine-tenths. You need to read the situation and the Bible carefully before speaking – yet pastors are arguing about “you must give the tithe, you must not give the tithe.” This (tribe) is how it was. This is the principle.
[2. Event]
Next is when a great event takes place. When an event like Passover, a great event, was held, the tithe was given. It is all recorded in the Bible. Look it up. Then are there no events now? Don’t we hold mission conferences now? When we do, you give even more than the tithe. Right? For example, from Seoul Church this time, at this mission conference, and this time for those inviting people to the Remnant conference, there are a great many people. That is blessing, blessing. Right? If you say, “Oh what a waste,” it turns around and says, “Let’s help Korea” – “I can’t afford that.” Our Korea dies.
[3. Temple (Tabernacle)]
The tithe was given when building the temple and tabernacle. Today the prophet Malachi comes around saying, “Rebuild the temple. See whether or not I pour out blessing. Test it.” In the entire Bible, the word telling us to test God only appears there. “Test it.” I am a person who has experienced and seen this. So I consider giving offerings to be most important and do it most sincerely. Teach the Remnant that way. Understood? The church budget is lacking? That is actually a ridiculous thing to say. It is not a matter of much or little. You must truly use your heart and do it this way. You spend a lot going out into the world. You need to think carefully about that. Even now, I give more in offerings than I spend on myself. If you have more, you shouldn’t spend it. But God opens many doors and gives blessing. It is certain. Then after realizing this (Introduction 1, 2, 3), oh right. Poverty has fled. It must go. If you truly pray this prayer, beginning next year, our church will experience the blessing of having more than enough budget for world mission.
▣ Main – The Way
Why does this become the way?
1. 24 Torches
First. What you give as the tithe is to raise up people to light the 24 torches. That is it. Has it disappeared now? Are there no people serving in the role of the 24-torch priests who keep the church?
1) Tabernacle
So light 24 torches in the tabernacle. Light the torches of prayer, I mean.
2) Garment
And do you know how it was done? The names of the 12 tribes are written on the priest’s garment. Do not extinguish the fire, and pray for all the people of every tribe.
3) Night

Do not extinguish the fire of the church, that’s what it means. So what is given so that those people can do this is the tithe.

1) Multi-ethnic peoples
When 12 of you gather, you raise up one person from the multi-ethnic peoples. It is entirely a matter of prayer, a matter of faith. Do you know how much to give them? 100,000 won is enough. If you drink one less cup of coffee and put your hearts together, you can save one family among the multi-ethnic peoples. The word that captures that meaning is the tithe. It is not only money. When 12 people gather, send one.
2) Adopt as family
Do the adopt-as-family movement with them. If one person can’t do it, 12 people must band together and do it. If this wind blows through our church, what will happen? Groups of ten or more gather, form a team, do multi-ethnic adopt-as-family, and send messages.
3) TCK, CCK, NCK
The more important thing. Adopt TCKs as family. Even more important. Adopt the CCKs who have fallen into the Muslim world as family. Why did Iran end up like that? There are many reasons, but let me mention one related to us. When the Muslim world took hold, everything was turned over to it completely. When Pahlavi was expelled and Khomeini came in, Khomeini is a leader of Islam. He turned Iran completely into an Islamic state. All the money was turned over there too. That is what happened. The CCKs and NCKs there. Adopt them as family. This is mission; this is the tithe. Actually, when you open your eyes and truly pray, the amount isn’t that great.
In the early days, Elder Park from Busan, who has since passed away, escaped from North Korea and nearly died. He ran away and had nowhere to go and went to a church. He said the church was his lifesaver and that reviving the church was his mission. So he went to do mission among the Karen people. That region is difficult. The Karen people are refugees, and he went there to do mission. He raised up 30 professors. He raised 30 professors, and how much did it cost? 300,000 won per month in Korean money. 10,000 won per person. It gets complicated going through many hands; if you do it directly, it’s simple. The elder delivered it directly. In the world, one professor for 10,000 won a month. Right now we are living so well that we’ve lost our senses. Our eyes have grown dim. World mission.
The tithe is not only about money. There was a separate original background. The tithe is not simply a command to give an offering. Important works of God were accomplished, and the tithe of one’s possessions was given to build the tabernacle and so on.
▣ Conclusion
Remnant, please pray.
1. 9/10
I will give nine-tenths of ten. Like the early church. Then does that mean giving it all away? You just have to earn a lot. Right? Like Priscilla, just earn a lot. Even after giving nine-tenths, one-tenth is enough to eat and live on – there’s still some left. That’s fine then. If you’re really frustrated, earn 1 billion a month, give 900 million as an offering, and live on 100 million. Now the Remnant like that must emerge. Right now, people like Bill Gates who have done 300% are doing it. Pray.
2. Provider of food and lodging
I will become the provider of food and lodging for all evangelists. Remnant, pray from now on.
3. Co-worker
I will become a co-worker who helps the servants of the Lord.
4. Protector
I will become a protector who saves the evangelists.
5. Doctor Luke
And I will become like Doctor Luke who creates 300%. This must happen to be 300%. How well did he serve as a doctor? He was the personal physician of Governor Theophilus. He quit and followed Paul around. That is 300%. Having earned enough to eat and live, he went with the things for evangelism and mission. The Remnant must receive this level of blessing. There is nothing strange about it at all. That is what 300% is. Today I bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ that this may be the lifelong beginning of recovering what is important. Let us pray.
Prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank You for giving us Your covenant. Let our faith be renewed before our ability. Let us be people of God who hold onto the covenant before the answer comes. Let us enjoy the natural blessing of world evangelization. Let 300% be passed on to our next generation. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
