The Servant of Faith Who Followed God’s Guidance (Genesis 24:1-67)

Summary
▣ Introduction: Prayer
It is truly hard for the Remnant to pray. But once you know why, it becomes easier.

1. Genesis 3, 6, 11 (original sin) (a different spirit) — We are born already caught up in Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11. We call this original sin. It means a different spirit is currently at work. It is not possible to keep every law, but even keeping it fully does not resolve original sin. The root problem is that we have left God — that is why it cannot be resolved. What is remarkable and frightening now is a spiritual current that does not know about original sin. It is a state of being completely captured by Satan, self-centered — that is what original sin is.
2. Engraving, wounds (roots, constitution) — things unrelated to God that have been engraved into us without our knowing, wounds engraved even more, taking root over and over until they become one’s constitution. That is why we cannot pray.
3. Spiritual problems — there are unspeakable spiritual problems in one’s family and household that cannot be resolved.
▷ Nothing else can resolve this. So we use only the word gospel; original sin is resolved only through the word Christ. We tend to trust human words more. But here Abraham breaks completely free of that, and now receives God’s guidance. Once we receive this guidance, God’s bartizan forms, and we go on a journey, and set up guideposts.

▣ Main
1. What Faith: 1) Ability — Our ability has its limits. We trust God’s ability. 2) Way — We also believe in Christ, who is the way to meet God. This was all prophesied in Isaiah 53. 3) Prayer time is not just “important” — it is the time that resolves everything. 4) Matthew 6:33 (background) — Jesus promised this. “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Our background is God’s kingdom, the throne — that is why when we pray, we can receive everything. 5) 1 John 5:13 (the name) — “Praying in the name of God, and asking according to God’s will, whatever it is, will be answered,” it says. 6) Daniel 3:8-23 — the decision of the three young men. When you make a decision of faith at this moment today, darkness is broken. ▷ We must operate within God’s ability — if we keep doing only worldly things, what is spiritual collapses. This small decision of faith set off events that changed the world.

2. Confirmation: 1) Plan — whenever it is God’s plan, an answer is bound to come. 2) Will — what is God’s will? That is what we pray about. 3) Way — at that time, God has already prepared a way for us.

3. Principles of Life: 1) Beginning (Camp 1) — when we begin, we confirm through prayer whether God’s work fits or not. We call this Camp 1 in our terminology. 2) Progress — the Nephilim (Camp 2) — wherever we go, the Holy Spirit is bound to work. The Nephilim are bound to be broken. That is the standard. 3) Conclusion (Camp 3) — finally reproduction, re-creation, and a new challenge arise. That is our conclusion.

▣ Conclusion: My Prayer
What is our Remnant’s prayer? This is what must be asked. How should Remnant members pray? How should our church leaders pray? What is a minister’s prayer like? How should the sick pray? It is written in Scripture. Do not learn from people; ask God and find it. We must have the secret of receiving prayer answers directly from God.

▣ Introduction: [Prayer]
Especially our Remnant need to be helped — praying is truly difficult for them. But knowing the reason makes it easier.

1. Genesis 3, 6, 11 (original sin)
We are born already caught up in Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11. This is called original sin. Very few religions know about this original sin. They only know things like “don’t do bad things, do good deeds” — they don’t know what original sin really is. Original sin is having left God. So this is truly a frightening thing. (A different spirit) A different spirit is currently at work.

So the distinctive feature is that Jewish people don’t know what original sin is. So it comes out like, “if you just keep all the law, you’re fine.” It’s not possible to keep all the law, but even keeping it fully does not resolve original sin. The root problem is that we have left God — that’s why it cannot be resolved. What is remarkably terrifying right now is that spiritual current. Even the Catholic Church doesn’t know what original sin is. What does the Catholic Church teach? That a baby who died right after being born — what sin could it have? It sounds nice to hear, but that’s how they explain it. Whether one is born one day old or lives 100 years, it’s the same kind of life. That’s how you can tell they don’t know what original sin is. It is a state of being completely self-centered, captured by Satan — that is original sin.

2. Engraving, Wounds (Roots, Constitution)
Also, things unrelated to God get engraved into us more than we know. This too is frightening. Some people have wounds engraved like this. This keeps taking root. Little by little it takes root until it becomes one’s constitution. That’s why one cannot pray. So our Remnant — you absolutely need to be made able to pray; if you can do that, you win.

3. Spiritual Problems
On top of that, there are things that can’t be spoken about in one’s family, things that can’t be spoken about in one’s own household, spiritual problems belonging to oneself — these cannot be resolved. And so one becomes unable to pray.

Only the Gospel
Nothing else can eliminate this. That’s why we use the word “gospel” alone.

Christ
This terrifying, present original sin is resolved only through the word “Christ.” So you should now be completely strengthened, because it is finished.

“Faith – Guidance”
It is faith. We trust human words more. We trust human words more than the word of God. Some people even trust the words of the demon-possessed and stake their lives on it. That is now an extremely dangerous thing. But what you must know is — “but that demon-possessed person guesses things really well, doesn’t he?” He guesses well. But John 8:44 itself is a lie. Satan’s very existence is a lie, and that itself is a lie. So you must now completely break free of that in order to receive an answer. Right? Abraham completely broke free. And so now he receives God’s guidance.

Bartizan, Journey, Guidepost
Once we receive this guidance, we come to have God’s bartizan, and go on a journey, and set up guideposts.

Now, there is a certain amount that people should moderate. But this is something you cannot moderate. We should moderate most things, right? But this cannot be moderated. It is completely finished. That’s why Paul — to what extent did he take this? He was shocked. To what degree was Paul shocked after this (introduction) was resolved? He felt so ashamed and sorry — that he had been boasting of knowledge that was worthless up until then. He felt it was shameful and harmful. To what degree did he even go? He considered it garbage. God used Paul. You too must resolve your problem and go to that place as a witness who saves others.

▣ Main
1. What Faith
So what kind of faith is it? That is what I want to talk about this time.

1) Ability
Our ability has its limits. We trust God’s ability.

2) Way
We also believe in Christ, who is the way to meet God. This was all prophesied in Isaiah 53.

3) Prayer Time
The time we pray is not just “important” — it is the time that resolves everything. You must believe this. Today, do not remain within this (introduction) — completely finish with it. This is complete unbelief, so throw it away.

4) Matthew 6:33 (Background)
And there is something important God gives us — Matthew 6:33, Jesus promised. “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” He even explained our background. Our background is God’s kingdom, the throne — that’s why when we pray, we can receive everything. You must believe this.

5) 1 John 5:13 (The Name)
And in 1 John 5:14 also, it says that if we pray in that name, whatever we ask will be answered. Praying in the name of God, asking according to God’s will — whatever it is — will be answered.

6) Daniel 3:8-23
Especially Daniel chapter 2, verses 8 through 23 — this is, as you know, the decision of the three young men. When you make a decision of faith at this moment today, darkness is broken. Do not listen to what other people say.

Now there are many people out there working in the world. You need to do that within God’s ability — if you keep doing only worldly things, what is inside you collapses. What is spiritual collapses. Take police officers, for example. Police officers always have to look at people with suspicion, right? A police officer looking at someone and feeling, “this person seems really nice” — that shouldn’t happen, right? They have to live their whole life that way. Without spiritual strength, that’s no good. And journalists too. I think journalists must have the hardest time — that’s how they live every day. Their spiritual state ends up in tremendous collapse. And their own personal spiritual problems come, but they’re too embarrassed to speak about it.

When you make a decision of faith, darkness collapses. It’s easy to be deceived. Civil servants have to read the room, don’t they? This (Daniel 3:8-23) small decision of faith set off events that changed the world. We really don’t understand faith very well.

2. Confirmation
And what else? Confirming. This is not doubt — it is confirming.

1) Plan
Whenever we ask, “What is God’s plan?” — you are bound to receive an answer.

2) Will
Also, “What is God’s will?” — that’s what we pray about. It’s a similar phrase, but “God’s plan” refers to a bigger future picture, while “God’s will” refers to finding something small in the present moment.

3) Way
And at that time, God has already prepared a way for us. This is what we confirm.

No matter what difficulty there is, you must grasp the covenant and confirm it. Then God’s distant plan and the will and way happening right now will be visible.

3. Principles of Life
So we can carry three principles of life. The reason for writing this anew is that today’s lesson has too many difficult words.

1) Beginning (Camp 1)
Whenever we begin, we confirm through prayer whether God’s work fits or not. We now call this Camp 1 in our terminology. Your life must begin exactly this way. “I have nothing right now” — that’s fine.

I told this story yesterday too. When I was attending college and graduate school, I had absolutely no money. So compared to others, I had nothing — no background. Originally my dream was to go abroad and just study like everyone else. I studied English hard on my own like this. But the way just wasn’t opening for me. So because I didn’t know what faith was, didn’t know how to pray, I always thought differently at the time. One day, as I was praying, an answer began to come. “What if you just don’t go?” Right? “If God’s will is not to go, then what should I do?” I made a very important discovery. I picked up a book and went to the field. To the evangelism field. I found all my blessings there. I nearly missed it and could have ruined everything. So it doesn’t lie in the difficult places.

We’re also listening in Busan right now, aren’t we? When I first went to Yeongdo it was pitch dark. There was no church building, nothing there. At that time I made an important discovery. “If we need a sanctuary, God will provide it later. That’s not what’s important right now. What matters is how these believers can spread the word movement in this neighborhood.” Precisely, in about 270-something places — did it reach around 300 places? We spread the word movement. At the same time. In that wilderness-like place, a thousand disciples rose up. Even I was surprised.

So — the beginning. Once you find your beginning completely guided by God’s Holy Spirit even once, it continues. If you lose your way, you keep wandering. Once you find it, it keeps happening from that point on, anytime.

2) Progress — the Nephilim (Camp 2)
How does progress happen? You may not know, but wherever you go, the Holy Spirit is bound to work. The Nephilim are bound to be broken. That is the standard. Camp 2. That’s why I call it a principle. You must absolutely receive this blessing.

3) Conclusion — Camp 3
Finally, reproduction, re-creation take place. That is our conclusion. Right now, many multi-ethnic people are coming. These people must be able to receive that same guidance when they go back. See that and call it Camp 3.

You have the right to receive this blessing. Why? It is God’s promise. It is a promise given directly by Christ. You must naturally receive it. From now, the door of world evangelization will continue to open. Naturally it will open. To these three courtyards, many multi-ethnic peoples will come to live in the future. Right? Of course. Here, prayer movements happen, healing history happens, and truly gaining real strength will happen. Abraham fully enjoyed the blessing.

▣ Conclusion: My Prayer
So what is the conclusion? What is our Remnant’s prayer? This must be asked. How should Remnant pray? How should our church leaders pray? This must be asked. Whatever else, this (my prayer) must absolutely be done. Our ministers too — what is a minister’s prayer like? Now, someone is sick. Never lose heart. How should the sick pray? It’s written in Scripture — like Paul. “I don’t even know where I am” — you must go that deep. When we face something important, what should we do? We must seek.

Today, if possible, do not learn from people, but ask God and seek. In some sense, you are the one confirming the evidence — you don’t need to just copy my prayer. You must have the secret of receiving prayer answers directly from God. In fact, that’s really the end of it.

This important part is a period of testing. When you have doubts, you must think about this. I said this last week too. “Ah, God is testing me.” It may look to you like difficulty is coming, but it isn’t. Those who have encountered a crisis, we will confirm today’s message in our first service. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ that as you pray deeply and earnestly today, even illnesses you don’t know about will be healed.

Prayer
We thank you, God. Let today be a day of great spiritual blessing. As we pray intensely today, let sickness leave, let all darkness be bound, let all disaster leave, and let only your glory appear. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
