Hymn
Down at the Cross
E. A. Hoffman

Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to his name!

Glory to his name,
Glory to his name;
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to his name!

I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where he took me in;
Glory to his name!    Refrain

Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to his name!    Refrain

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to his name!    Refrain

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Scripture Reading
Haggai 2:6-9

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

Word (Bartizan), Prayer (Journey), Evidence (Guidepost)
On Sundays, hold onto the Word that is alive and at work—this is the bartizan.
Prayer must truly operate—that’s how you go on the journey.
Then actual answers and testimonies arise—these are the milestones.

The Trinity, Darkness, and the Kingdom
While you hold this covenant, the Triune God works, darkness is broken, and the kingdom of God and His work are fulfilled. That is what is happening now.

Lifelong Prayer Topic
At this time, your lifelong prayer topics connect with lifelong answers. David enjoyed this best: since the former temple was destroyed, build the new temple.

> The true answer is that darkness is broken and world evangelization happens through you. If your vocation is used for world evangelization, there is no greater blessing.

▣ Introduction — Causes of the Temple’s Destruction
1. Solomon — When God’s desired temple is built, the doors of the world open. Not knowing why they were opening, Solomon erred: he drew world elites, accommodated their requests, and idolatry covered Israel.

2. Hezekiah — When global summits visited, he showed them the palace, the temple, and the royal treasury. Later Babylon invaded, burned the temple, and carried off the sacred articles.

3. The Three Courts — Because the three courts (and the three feasts) were lost.

▣ Main Message
1. Restore David’s Temple
1) Restore the temple housing the Ark of the Covenant.
2) Restore the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place.
3) Tabernacle-centered, Tent of Meeting–centered, and camp-centered life.

In the wilderness, life revolved around the tabernacle; worship was offered most of all. God granted unsurpassed wisdom. Offerings were given most abundantly. World economy was influenced.
Tent of Meeting–centered. Every doorway of the homes faced the temple—camp-centered.

2. A Temple for All Peoples — Restore the Temple that Saves the Nations
1) Open the era of the Three Courts.
2) The fire of 24 / Three Day Weekend Age.
Keep the 24-hour fire burning.
Enter the Three Day Weekend Age (focused-concentration).
3) Holy Meditation Age & the blood sacrifice.
Open the Holy Meditation Age that will save the world.
Regard the blood sacrifice as most important here.

3. The Future Temple — Rebuild the Temple that Will Save the Future
1) A temple that blocks disasters — deliver God’s Word that halts disaster.
2) A temple to save the 237 nations and 5,000 people groups.
3) RT (Remnant) Temple — to save:
TCK: Remnants who have lost their way (Third Culture Kids),
CCK: Those living within dark culture with no gospel,
NCK: Those in places with virtually no culture at all.

When the diaspora (many peoples) come, ensure they hear the gospel, receive training, and are sent to evangelize.

▣ Conclusion
1. Heaven and earth shaken — “I will shake the heavens and the earth.”
2. All nations shaken — “I will shake all nations.”
3. Greater glory — “The glory of the latter house will be greater than the former.”
You must experience the power of the Word and verify how the work of the Word moves your vocation.
One resolution: Change anything that keeps you from evangelizing—poverty, sickness, incompetence. Completely transform your family line before the next generation. If your current vocation cannot serve world evangelization, change it.

Forum & Prayer

We Are the Body of Christ

1 Corinthians 12:12-26. Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Some people say they only need God and do not need anyone else. While it is true that God alone is our salvation and strength, the Bible teaches us that success and failure in life are also revealed in our relationships with others. According to Today’s Word, the way we associate with people deeply matters to God—especially within His church.

Relationships shape our spiritual journey. When we become close to those who are legalistic, we naturally learn their patterns of legalism. When we spend time with those who chase after miracles and signs without grounding themselves in the gospel, we can easily fall into unhealthy ways of faith. But when we walk closely with people who hold onto the gospel, our hearts are anchored in God’s grace, and we learn to live a gospel-centered life.

This is why Paul warns Timothy so strongly:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Paul makes it clear that the environment we place ourselves in deeply impacts our faith. Choosing companions who live by God’s truth draws us closer to Christ, while surrounding ourselves with those who distort the gospel leads us into spiritual confusion.

God has called us together as His church so that we may grow in faith and maturity as one body. Before we met Christ, we were all useless and without hope. But through faith in Him, God has made us useful vessels in His house. We have been saved by His grace, not by our works or efforts. Even the faith we have is a gift from God, “so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

In the church, therefore, no one can say that some are more valuable than others. Every believer—regardless of background, appearance, or ability—has a place and a purpose in God’s plan. The Spirit has united us through peace, and Paul urges us to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).

We are called to follow the example of the first church born after Pentecost:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42).

This passage reveals four essential elements of a healthy church: devotion to God’s Word, authentic fellowship, celebration of the gospel, and continual prayer. These are the foundations God has given us to grow together in faith and fulfill His mission.

The first thing we must restore in the church is the blessing of worship for all members. Worship was the reason God created us: “the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise” (Isaiah 43:21). During worship, we confirm God’s infinite, unconditional love for us, and in doing so, we rediscover our identity and authority as His children. True worship restores our hearts, renews our strength, and unites us as one body.

We must also help one another devote ourselves to the Word of God. When the Word of life continues to flow from the pulpit, weary hearts are strengthened, dry bones are revived, and lost souls are brought to life (Ezekiel 37:1-14). As people see God’s promises fulfilled in their lives, their trust in His Word deepens, and “the Word of the Lord spreads widely and grows in power” (Acts 19:20).

A beautiful fellowship takes place when God’s children gather to worship, pray, and share life together. As we experience God’s love, we naturally desire to love one another. We begin to share, forgive, and encourage each other. Like the first believers, we become of “one heart and mind,” having everything in common and enjoying the favor of all people (Acts 4:32-33).

To maintain this unity, we must transcend our differences, abandon our prejudices, and fix our eyes on Christ, who binds us together. Whether in our homes, workplaces, or church, we experience the power of the cross—“the breaking of bread”—remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection daily. Through Him, we find reconciliation with God and with one another.

When the church walks in unity, we begin to see God’s power manifest in incredible ways. As spiritual prophets, we reconcile the world to God because Christ is the True Prophet who reveals His salvation. As spiritual kings, we overcome the enemy because Christ is the True King who has defeated Satan. As spiritual priests, we bring healing and restoration to a broken world because Christ is the True Priest who has forgiven all sin. As a result, God will “add to our number daily those who are being saved” (Acts 2:47).

Prayer is central to all of this. Throughout Scripture, whenever God carried out His plans, His people prayed (Acts 1:14; Acts 2:42-47; Acts 3:1-10; Acts 4:23-31; Acts 6:1-7; Acts 12:1-24; Acts 13:1-3; Acts 16:13-34). History testifies to the power of a praying church, and the same is true today. When we join together in prayer, God reveals His will, pours out His Spirit, and accomplishes His mission through us.

Let us commit ourselves to praying for our communities, schools, workplaces, nation, and the world. By the power of the Holy Spirit, let us rise as Christ’s church and intercede on behalf of those suffering from spiritual oppression, generational curses, and brokenness. God has called us to be watchmen for this generation, blocking the disasters of sin and declaring His salvation to all 237 nations and 5,000 tribes.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for calling us to be Your church and for placing us into Your family. Teach us to walk in unity and love, keeping the bond of peace through the Spirit. Use us as Your vessels to reveal the gospel, strengthen one another, and bring Your light to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Spiritual Facts and the Blessing of 25

2023.07.16 District Message
Scripture Reading: Genesis 41:1-38

If you continuously enjoy the happy gospel and hold onto the desire for the true evangelism movement, and simply continue in it, God will grant you new answers for the evangelism movement—answers that no one else can achieve and no one else can see.

Even as we stand in the middle of the battle between two bartizans, I firmly believe that God will pour out great grace and mercy upon us and will give us tangible evidence that He will use us to save the 237 nations and the 5,000 people groups.

[Spiritual Reality] and the 25 Answers (Genesis 41:38)

Even many believers do not fully understand this spiritual reality. But once this reality is established in you, tremendous answers follow. On the other hand, if it is established incorrectly, disastrous outcomes result. Just look at history—communism and capitalism are still fighting. These ideologies, born out of invisible spiritual forces, are destroying the world.

This is why we must know this: when you truly understand the spiritual reality, you begin to receive the answers of the 25. In Genesis 41:38, Pharaoh looked at Joseph and said, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the Spirit of God?”

[Home, Church, and Field]

Your personal life, your family, your church, and your business or field—all must first be spiritually established. From this moment, your prayer must focus on the unseen foundations of your home, your church, and your work.

[Bartizan]

You must firmly establish the spiritual bartizan that no one else can see. Build it through prayer.

[Focused, Ongoing Prayer]

This is not about repetition—it’s about continuous, focused prayer. As you do this, you will witness amazing realities unfold.

Decide how you will set up spiritual bartizans in your home, church, and workplace. Then keep praying into that plan. As you continue, something extraordinary will happen.

Even now, I pray: “Lord, as we build 1,000 bartizans, what is my role?” Make a real plan and pray over it consistently. This will transform your spiritual reality first.

[Hebrews 11:1–3 — Substance and Evidence]

Hebrews 11 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Even if you cannot see it yet, it already exists as substance; even if you cannot touch it yet, it’s already evidence.

If you are facing difficulties, hold on to these spiritual realities first.

When I first arrived at Yeongdo, our church was the smallest, without a building or resources. My prayer back then was simple: “Even if I lack ability, if God is with me, it will work.”

After arriving, my prayer changed: “Because this is Yeongdo, it must work!” I believed God would do it by His power. So I resolved to focus on only the gospel, only evangelism, and only God’s Word.

And from there, the movement began spreading worldwide. Now, in some places, the work outside Korea is even greater than here. We’ve seen people hear the Word once and return to their countries to spark revivals—even kings and leaders are now reading the prayer journals we produced.

▣ Introduction — The Reason

Why is this happening? Because we understand three realities:

1. The Kingdom of the World — A system focused only on survival, saying, “As long as we eat, we’re fine.”
2. The Kingdom of Satan — A system exploiting worldly desires to trap people in darkness.
3. The Kingdom of God — Jesus’ last message was about God’s Kingdom and His work.

If you only focus on what you can see, you’ll miss the true reality. But when you understand this, heaven’s answers are unlocked.

▣ Main Message

1. Spiritual Reality — God’s Plan

Don’t be deceived by what you see. Reality, facts, and appearances are not the full story. Behind all of it, God’s plan is at work.

2. Start Low — Aim High

Always start from the lowest point and aim toward God’s highest purpose. Don’t pretend to have more than you do; begin with what God has given you and build upward.

1) W.I.O. — God is With you, and you enjoy Immanuel and Oneness.
2) C.V.D.I.P. — When you hold the covenant, God reveals His Covenant → Vision → Dream → Image → Practice.
3) Absolute Plan — Hold to what God has already determined to accomplish.

On Sundays, focus entirely on the covenant and pray continuously, not repetitively. In time, the answers will come naturally.

3. Circumstances

Before answers come, God gives you the conclusion first. When you know the spiritual reality, no situation can shake you:

1) With — God’s presence becomes evident.
2) Preparation — You begin to see what God has already prepared.
3) Victory — You realize that God has already secured victory.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear but will also provide a way out.”

So Sunday worship is your opportunity: “Lord, let today be the day I establish my spiritual bartizan.”

▣ Conclusion — The Answer

When you concentrate like this, one day you will see God’s answers clearly. But here’s the key: the answers themselves are not the ultimate goal—they are the natural result. God’s plan is always greater than you imagine.

Many young adults today worry about their future because they haven’t yet built these foundations. Without understanding spiritual reality, both receiving answers and not receiving them lead to problems.

So hold on to this first: God has already fulfilled His promises, and His unseen bartizan is being established.

As you continue in this, your prayers will naturally deepen:

Establish spiritual bartizans for your home, church, and workplace.
Pray over God’s absolute plan for your life.
Ask for the 5 Strengths to be restored:

1. Spiritual Strength
2. Intellectual Strength
3. Physical Strength
4. Financial Strength
5. Manpower Strength

When these are restored, you will see the work of evangelism move forward powerfully.

Prayer.  Father God, thank You for giving us strength today to carry out world evangelization. Bless our work so it may be used for Your Kingdom. Let today be a day when we receive new grace and gain new strength—a strength no person can give. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Future Preparations – What God Desires

Prayer Journal, September 3, 2025
(2024.09.03 237 New Family Field Worker Training
Scripture Reading: Matthew 28:16-20

The very first words you speak when you meet a new family member are extremely important. When I met some young ladies working at the factory, I remember exactly what I said to them, and they told me later that they could never forget it. I asked, “Did you come to Busan to make money?” They said yes, so I replied, “If you came to make money, why come here instead of going somewhere better? The reason you came here is because you are called to be a missionary to save your family, your hometown, and your field. Never forget that!” One of the girls cried—maybe because her situation was so difficult—but those words struck her heart deeply.

When I meet new family members, I tell them this: inside the church, many want to devote themselves, give offerings, and help the work of God, but often they feel limited because they haven’t yet received answers. That’s why we must prepare now. When I meet remnants, I also tell them this: “Prepare now so that one day, your tithe alone can sustain the church.” We must start from the very beginning, just like David. David gave offerings faithfully his entire life and prepared for the future. But the future is not something we control; therefore, set your standard on what God desires. The problem is, most people don’t know what God truly desires.

▣ Introduction – Why?

What does God desire from us? How can we know? From now on, keep asking why—but ask the right why:

1) Resurrection

▶ Why did Jesus rise again and deliver this message?

(1) Matthew 28:16–20 — Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me,” and then He commanded, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” But think about it—the early church barely had enough to eat, yet He told them to go to all nations!

(2) Mark 16:15–20 — “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Jesus even said, “In My name, drive out demons,” which is understandable, but how do you “go to all creation”? To the sick He said, “Lay hands on them, and they will recover”—that makes sense, but to reach all nations seemed impossible. Why did He say this?

(3) John 21:15–18 — “Feed My lambs.” That we can understand.

(4) Acts 1:8 — “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses to the ends of the earth.”

▶ This was a humanly impossible mission. You must help new family members understand this: Jesus wasn’t exaggerating or joking. He gave a real command, but the early church couldn’t possibly accomplish it. From the start, they must understand this is a task we cannot do on our own.

2) The Promise

▶ But then Jesus also gave the promise of absolute possibility. New family members must be taught this and must believe it. Among the “7/7/7,” here are the five most important promises:

The Power of the Throne — God promised the power of His throne. This makes everything possible.

Transcendence of Time and Space — The power of the throne allows God to work beyond time and space.

The 237 Nations & 5,000 People Groups — When God transcends time and space, reaching all nations becomes possible.

Unprecedented and Unrepeatable Answers — God promises unique answers that have never been seen before and will never be seen again.

Absolute Bartizan — At that point, doors open and God establishes His absolute bartizan in your life.

3) Devotion

▶ Teach them what true devotion looks like:

Three Courtyards — When pastors open these three courtyards (for all nations, healing, and remnants), everything follows.

The Friday-Saturday-Sunday Age — These three days are crucial for discovering missions, gifts, and worship. Give remnants meaningful missions on Fridays, help them discover their talents on Saturdays, and make Sunday their highest point of worship.

TCK/CCK/NCK — Teach them about Third Culture Kids, Cross-Cultural Kids, and No-Culture Kids. Tell them, “If you ever give offerings, give toward this work. Support missionaries and pastors for this purpose.” This is the core of Romans 16—people who risked their entire lives for world evangelization.

4) How? — 7/7/7

▶ Teach them how to enjoy this covenant:

Enjoyment (24) — From now on, enjoy the bartizan God gave you every moment, without rushing.

Waiting (25) — Keep enjoying until God’s time (25) comes. That’s your standard.

Challenge (Eternity) — Be willing to stake everything on eternal things—missions, the next generation, and saving the nations.

5) Remind Them

▶ Warn them about common pitfalls they will face in the church:

Legalism — Avoid it.

Secularism — Don’t let the church adopt the world’s methods.

Mysticism — Don’t chase emotional or physical experiences.

Calculation-Based Faith — Some people make everything about money, favors, or personal gain. Warn new members to avoid these influences.

Ideology-Based Faith — Don’t get caught up in political agendas or social movements. Focus on Christ alone.

▣ Main Message — Align with Three Standards
1. W.I.O.S.

The Bible promises: “I will be with you, with us, and with everything you face.” Build a personal and church-wide system upon this promise.

2. O.U.R.S.

Answers will come through Only, Uniqueness, and Re-Creation. New family members often receive these answers more quickly than long-time believers because they have fewer misconceptions.

3. System for the 237 Nations and 5,000 People Groups

Pray specifically to save at least one group, one field, or one person from among the 5,000 people groups. When they come and hear the gospel, God will powerfully work through you.

▣ Conclusion

True Gospel → Breaks Darkness
▶ Teach them clearly: if you truly enjoy the gospel, darkness must break. Christ already crushed Satan’s head.

True Prayer → Breaks Satan’s 12 Strategies
▶ When you enjoy prayer based on the gospel, the enemy’s plans are destroyed. This is the “3 Concentrations,” “3 Settings,” and “3 Answers.”

True Witness
▶ Finally, they become witnesses:

Witnesses speak of what they’ve seen.

Witnesses share what they have.

Witnesses testify to what they know.

This is the calling and mission of every new family member.

Prayer. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the working of the Holy Spirit be with all the new family members called to save this age, with all the ministers and workers, from now and forevermore. Amen.

God’s Plan or My Plan?

Exodus 3:7-10.  The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

Moses spent 40 years in the land of Midian after the dreaded day he killed an Egyptian, trying to take matters into his own hands (Exodus 2:11-25). Though he had been raised as a prince of Egypt, he had no understanding of God’s plan for his life. But everything changed when he encountered the Lord at Mount Horeb. There, God revealed His heart for His people and His plan of salvation through the blood of the Lamb (Exodus 3:18). When God’s plan became Moses’ plan, he stopped wandering aimlessly and began walking in God’s purpose.

True success is not defined by human accomplishments, wealth, or recognition but by seeing God’s plans fulfilled in our lives. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have dreams, plans, or goals—but all our desires must align with His. Life is far too short to pursue anything less than what God desires most. But how do we discover God’s plan?

First, God’s will is revealed in His Word—the Scriptures. This is why we must continually devote ourselves to His Word (1 Peter 2:2). God’s greatest desire revealed in Scripture is that we realize, enjoy, and remain in the salvation we have received in Christ. His Word is not only our foundation but also our strength against the enemy’s attacks. Jesus modeled this truth perfectly during His temptation in the wilderness.

When Satan attacked Him after forty days of fasting, Jesus did not argue, compromise, or rely on His own reasoning. Instead, He responded with the power of God’s Word, declaring,

It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4)

Satan cannot overpower you when God’s Word is hidden in your heart. The Word of God is the greatest weapon in spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:17). It also leads us on the path of righteousness:

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2)

When you follow God’s Word, you will no longer wander aimlessly. Instead, you will flourish like “a tree planted by streams of water” (Psalm 1:3), bearing fruit in every season.

Second, God’s plans are revealed when we pray. The highest priority of David, “a man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22):

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (Psalm 5:3).

Even Jesus’ daily focus was not on ministry but on prayer: “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed” (Mark 1:35).

Prayer is not merely a religious duty—it is enjoying God’s presence and aligning our hearts with His. Prayer is the time of greatest strength, happiness, and rest. Learn the secret of having “downtime” with God, moments of quiet intimacy where His Spirit speaks and leads you. David treasured this time, Daniel prayed three times a day even when facing death (Daniel 6:10), and the believers in the Early Church continually devoted themselves to prayer.

Peter and John encountered the crippled beggar during their time of prayer (Acts 3:1-10). Philip met the Ethiopian official while praying in Samaria (Acts 8:26-40). Ananias was entrusted with restoring Paul’s sight while enjoying time with God (Acts 9:10-16). In each case, God revealed His plans and opened divine opportunities during prayer. When the early church prayed together, God’s power was unleashed:

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place… They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts 2:1-4).

The promised work of the Holy Spirit began when they joined together constantly in prayer (Acts 1:14). This is why we must lay aside pride, selfishness, and distractions that keep us from gathering as a church to seek God’s will together.

Failure in prayer leads to failure in life: “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). But when we pray instead of worrying, God promises His peace:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Prayer is the source of every answer, every strength, and every victory. It is where God aligns our hearts with His plans. Make your “downtime” with your Father the most joyful part of your day. Make prayer your life itself, not just your last resort.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for revealing Your plans in Your Word and for the privilege of seeking You in prayer. Open my eyes to see Your direction in every situation and teach me to delight in Your presence. Mold my heart to follow Your ways, and let my life align with Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Must Truly Enjoy Your Today

▣ Introduction

Likewise, for us and for the congregation, what truly matters is how we enjoy today. This part is extremely important. Today is actually the time when we are building the “two bartizans.”
This is not something that can be built with yesterday’s things, and even though the future will come, it is not something to be built with what is yet to come.

The problem is, most believers don’t realize that they are continually building unhealthy bartizans within themselves. That’s why they remain unaware of what’s happening spiritually.

The reason those with mental disorders don’t recover is this: they keep holding onto only the parts of their lives where they are not healed.
It makes sense, doesn’t it?
They have no strength, they’re struggling with spiritual problems, and their environment is difficult. So, they naturally keep holding onto those negative things.

If you understand this principle, then it’s not even a mental illness issue—you can actually recover. But because they don’t realize it, they cannot be healed.
This is something you must remember very clearly.

When I was serving as an assistant pastor in a church, I realized something while working there. Before I understood the gospel, I used to live the same way too. But once I discovered the answer of the gospel, I began to see something:
Churches are mostly focused on doing things that will never bring true answers.

Think about it carefully. The things that would actually bring God’s true answers are rarely practiced.
It’s not necessarily because people don’t want to do them; it’s because the environment of the church itself is often structured that way.

If you see things wrongly, the church can become an environment where there’s no prayer, no meditation on the Word, and no personal renewal.
You end up just doing what is assigned to you—running programs, attending worship services—but your own life never changes.

However, once you realize this spiritual fact, things actually become very simple.

Bartizan / Journey / Guidepost

1. Church, Society, and the Older Generation
From what I’ve seen in the church, in society, and even among the older generation, I could clearly confirm this:
Most people—including pastors and elders—are holding onto things that cannot bring God’s answers.

It’s actually heartbreaking because elders are some of the most precious people in the church, yet many are stuck holding onto the wrong things.

That’s why Jesus’ public ministry was so simple and clear:
“Throw everything else away. None of it matters.”

He emphasized only one thing:

> “Be led by the Holy Spirit.
> The Holy Spirit will dwell within you.
> The Holy Spirit will teach you and remind you of everything.
> If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, everything else will work out.”

This was Jesus’ core teaching throughout His entire ministry.
So why would we ignore this and choose to live without God’s answers? There’s no reason for that.

Now think about this—what about new family members in the church?
They come in believing that whatever they see in the church is everything.

If the church prays a lot, they think, “Ah, I should pray too.”
If the church members gossip and argue, they think, “Oh, I guess that’s what Christians do.”

New believers are inevitably influenced by the church atmosphere.
Unless they are spiritually very strong or have large spiritual vessels, they’ll assume this is what the Christian life is supposed to look like.

But the truth is, this is not what Christ truly desires.
This is why you must remember this clearly and help guide new believers to see the gospel itself—not just the surrounding environment.

2. Shock, Emotion, and Imprinting
The second point is even more important: Why do so many believers listen to sermons, even say “Amen,” yet their lives don’t change?

It’s because shock, emotions, or deep imprinting from the past are often stronger than the work of the Spirit within them.

It’s not that the Holy Spirit is weak.
The problem is that we are deceived by the things already imprinted in us, which then block the Word and Spirit from fully entering.

3. The Seven Answer Schedules of the Early Church
That’s why we must teach new believers these seven key schedules—what I call the “7 stages of answers” from the early church:

(1) Jesus’ Public Ministry (The Holy Spirit, Our Helper)
Jesus’ entire public ministry focused on one thing:

> “You cannot live this Christian life by yourself.
> You must be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

But today, even the Jews of His time—and many churches now—are busy doing all the things Jesus told us NOT to do.

If this continues, world evangelization cannot happen.
Why? Because if we’re focused on the wrong things, the door to reach the nations will remain closed.

And when that door stays closed, it’s the church officers who suffer the most.
If finances become tight, they’re burdened with giving more. If responsibilities pile up, they become exhausted.

This is the reality of many churches worldwide.
Sometimes, if a particularly talented pastor emerges, people quickly elevate them and create structures around them—because they’re competent, capable, and focused on the church. But this is not the solution.

What’s worse is that most church members have never been properly imprinted with these seven key answers.

You don’t even have to call them “7/7/7” if that sounds too technical, but Jesus Himself clearly explained the system of the bartizan, the journey, and the guidepost connected to the throne.

God’s throne is not here on earth where we stand, but if we build the bartizan, walk the journey, and establish guideposts, we will stand in the stream of God’s work.

New believers, however, have no idea about this.
That’s why you must help them understand this gently and clearly.

Alright — continuing the full translation seamlessly until the very end of this message. I’ll preserve the original sermon flow, structure, and tone exactly as it is.

(2) The 40 Days — God’s Kingdom and Mission

After His resurrection, Jesus explained about the Kingdom of God for 40 days.
He was teaching us to set aside a period of concentrated prayer and hold onto the covenant of God’s Kingdom.

During these 40 days, Jesus revealed that the throne of God is directly connected to the things concerning His Kingdom.
This isn’t something you do together with everyone else.
If you rely on people, you’ll fail.

So, what do we do? We hold tightly to the Word from the pulpit.
Focus your prayer on the Word God has given through your pastor—that is the highest and safest way.

Jesus is saying: “You are no longer just a newcomer. You are now part of God’s family.”

(3) The 10 Days — The Three Feasts

Then, after those 40 days, the disciples went into a period of 10 days of prayer.
This was a time when they held onto the covenant of the Three Feasts—the true mission of life.

Why is this so important for new believers?
Because many long-time church members are already full of old religious habits, personal methods, and wrong teachings.
It’s harder for them to shift their mindset.

But newcomers are different. Since they have less wrong imprinting, they can grasp the truth much faster when the gospel is explained clearly.

Most believers in established churches simply endure the Christian life.
Because they don’t see God’s answers, they think faith = waiting and enduring.
But waiting vaguely is not faith.

Faith means holding onto God’s covenant and enjoying His answers while you wait.
New believers need to understand this from the beginning—not simply to endure suffering, but to enjoy God’s promises now.

(4) The Lord’s Day — Acts 2:42

If you want the gospel to take root, then Sunday worship must become the central focus.

Don’t chase after various teachings or emotions—
Listen carefully to the pulpit message and receive it as God’s personal Word for you.

Acts 2:42 says:

> “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, the breaking of bread, and to prayer.”

The early church wasn’t following personal charisma or human talent—they followed the flow of God’s Word.
This is where true faith is built.

(5) Daily Life — Acts 2:46-47

Next, you must teach new believers that God’s Word is fulfilled daily.

Acts 2:46-47 says:

> “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

When we hold onto God’s Word correctly, answers naturally flow into our everyday lives.

(6) Scheduled Prayer

From here, we enter into the system of prayer.
Once new believers begin receiving answers, they must also learn the rhythm of scheduled prayer.

This includes even something as simple as listening to church announcements.
Why? Because announcements contain prayer topics.

In Acts 1:14, the early believers gathered and prayed with one heart.
This was scheduled prayer—praying together in oneness with God’s plan, not just praying about personal needs.

We must help new believers understand:

Muslims keep their prayer times daily without fail.
Orthodox Jews still hold fast to their traditions of regular prayer.
But believers in Christ hold onto God’s Word from the pulpit and align their daily prayers with His plan.

This is what creates the spiritual system that brings constant strength and direction.

(7) 24 / 25 / Eternity

Finally, once prayer becomes your lifestyle, you naturally enter into the blessing of 24 hours with God.

This is where prayer becomes effortless—your thoughts, actions, and heart are continually aligned with God’s presence.

Then comes 25:

> God’s power working beyond human ability—answers that are entirely of His throne.

And from there flows Eternity:

> Your life, works, and field leave an eternal impact for God’s Kingdom.

This is the complete system of answers that new believers must be guided into step by step.

Changing the Imprint: Shock, Emotion, and Deep Roots

Why is all of this so critical? Because many believers—even pastors and elders—remain bound by old imprints from their past.

Past shocks
Past emotional experiences
Deeply ingrained habits

These must be replaced with God’s Word, prayer, and the gospel itself.
This is how the throne, journey, and guidepost are built inside you.

▣ Main Message — The Life of Camp

When you begin living like this, your entire life becomes a spiritual camp.
Whether your circumstances seem good or bad, everything becomes part of God’s training.

The key is:

> “How will you interpret today through God’s covenant?”

This perspective transforms every situation into an opportunity to see God’s work unfold.

1. The Standard of 7/7/7 — Light

The foundation of this entire system—the seven schedules, seven powers, and seven platforms—is one thing: light.

God has called us to bring His light into the darkness.
We live in a world full of spiritual confusion and brokenness, but when we restore the gospel, God’s light shines through us and revives the people, the field, and the future.

2. No Calculations — The Covenant Relationship

One of the greatest hindrances in the Christian life is calculating everything based on our logic.
But the gospel is about relationship, not calculation.

Abraham is the clearest example.
God promised him descendants as numerous as the stars, yet he kept calculating:

“But I don’t even have a child.”
“How could I become a great nation?”

And because of his calculations, he kept making mistakes—like taking Lot along instead of trusting God fully.

It wasn’t until Abraham surrendered his calculations and simply restored his relationship with God that true blessings began.

This principle applies everywhere—even in the wilderness journey of Israel.
When the people calculated their circumstances, they panicked and complained:

> “We’ll die out here. It would’ve been better to stay in Egypt!”

Faith is not based on human reasoning—it’s based on the unchanging covenant.

We must teach new believers to live by relationship with God—not by fear, performance, or worldly logic.

3. What to Enjoy — Acts 2:1-47

Finally, Jesus showed us in Acts 2 what we are meant to enjoy as His people:

1. Power — The Holy Spirit fills you with five kinds of strength: spiritual, mental, physical, financial, and relational.
2. Doors — As you worship and pray, God opens doors of evangelism and divine connections.
3. Path — God reveals the specific path you are to take in fulfilling His mission.

This is why worship itself is where everything starts.
Through worship, prayer, and the Word, we enter God’s timing and receive the strength to walk His path.

▣ Conclusion — Romans 7:25: The Battle of Two Bartizans

Romans 7:25 captures Paul’s personal confession:

> Inside us, there are two natures, and they are constantly at war.

These are the two bartizans—the one built on God’s throne and the one built on human effort and past imprinting.

To win this battle, we must establish:

1) The Platform

Build your spiritual platform where God’s power flows to give life to others.
When God begins to work through you, the church, your field, and your mission are revived.

2) The Watchtower (Bartizan)

Once the platform is established, set up the watchtower—a life of prayer where God keeps you alert and guarded.
Through this, healing begins, both within you and in the field.

3) The Antenna

Finally, God raises you as a spiritual antenna—connecting heaven’s power to the earth.
Through you, communication between God’s throne and the broken world becomes possible.

Practical Guidance for New Believers

We use the workbook “God’s Plan for New Family Members” to teach:

Prayer: Enjoy God’s blessings daily without conditions.
Economy of Light: Experience God’s provision for your mission.
Five Strengths: Spiritual, intellectual, physical, financial, and relational strength to fulfill God’s calling.

When guiding new believers, keep it simple.
Don’t overwhelm them with endless explanations.
Just point them to the gospel, the Word, and prayer—these are what truly save and transform lives.

Final Reminder

This is the critical time when everything gets imprinted into a new believer.
Whatever becomes imprinted eventually becomes their root and their spiritual nature.

Therefore, we must carefully guide them into:

The gospel of Christ
The filling of the Holy Spirit
The system of 7/7/7
Living by the covenant, not by calculations
Establishing the two bartizans for victory

This is how we raise disciples who will stand as spiritual platforms, watchtowers, and antennas—restoring the blessings of the throne and shining God’s light to the nations.

Useful Vessels in the House of God

2 Timothy 2:20-21. In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

Many believers believe that the Christian life is primarily about living uprightly, following moral principles, and striving to become a better person. While upright living is important, the gospel goes far deeper than outward behavior. The message of the cross transcends human definitions of goodness and morality because even our best efforts fall short before a holy God.

Becoming a better person is not the ultimate goal of the Christian life; rather, it is being united with Christ and living by His life and power in us. God sent Jesus Christ not simply to make us moral but to make us new, for nothing we do can earn His acceptance. All we are and all we have must rest completely on the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Knowing this, we must ask ourselves: What kind of Christian life are we called to live? How can we become “instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work” (2 Timothy 2:21)? The first step is brokenness before God. Paul confesessed,

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)

To be crucified with Christ means dying to our own plans, our ambitions, and our will, so that His will becomes ours. As long as we cling to our self-centered desires, the power of Christ cannot fully rest upon us, and we will attempt to live the Christian life in our own strength—a life God never intended us to live.

We must continually ask what God desires of us, seek what advances the gospel, and strive for unity in the body of Christ. This kind of life is only possible when our old self is fully surrendered to Christ. If we allow the old nature to rule, we will find ourselves living in defeat and spiritual immaturity (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). When jealousy, division, and strife dominate us, we remain spiritual infants, unable to grow into maturity. And the longer we hold onto the desires of the flesh, the more they consume us:

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity…hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage…selfish ambition…envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like…those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21)

If we continue to live in the flesh, we risk becoming vulnerable to Satan’s schemes, as some did during Paul’s time. Paul warned Timothy to remind believers not to engage in meaningless quarrels, false teachings, and godless chatter that spread like gangrene, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus, who “departed from the truth” and destroyed the faith of some (2 Timothy 2:14-19).

But God has provided a better way. When we yield to the Holy Spirit, He gives us power and wisdom from above, opening our eyes to discern spiritual truth: “The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things…we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:14-16). Through His guidance, we begin to see life from God’s perspective and walk in His perfect will, no longer bound by human limitations or worldly understanding.

Thus, replace your heart and mind with the heart and mind of Christ. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead your life completely, and He will bear His fruit through you—love, joy, and peace toward God; patience, kindness, and goodness toward others; faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control within yourself (Galatians 5:22-23).

Living this way is not about striving harder but about surrendering to the One who loved you and died for you, so that His life can flow through you. And when you live in Him, He fills you with strength to face every challenge: “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

Ultimately, the Christian life is not about what you face but where you stand. If you are in Christ, your victory is already secure, no matter the circumstances. God desires to use you as a vessel of His grace, a witness of His power, and an instrument for His purposes. The question is not whether you are strong enough but whether you are surrendered enough.

Prayer. Father, I thank You for Your desire to use me for Your glory. Break my pride, mold my heart, and make me into the vessel You want me to be. I surrender my plans, ambitions, and desires into Your hands. Fill me with Your Spirit, and make me useful to You, prepared to do every good work You have called me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Must Resolve the Past Completely

Scripture Reading: Galatians 2:20

▣ Introduction

This week’s “Newcomers & Commissioned Workers” message is extremely important. I always say it’s important—but this time, it truly is.

Why can’t so many nations and so many people come out of spiritual problems? You must find this answer and give it to newcomers. Last Sunday, a newcomer who’s a journalist texted me: “Pastor, the first-service message (‘A Christian without Christ,’ Sept 1) was the best message.” I thought, “He’s more committed than many long-timers—and he’s new!”

For our newcomers, the very first thing is this: “Completely settle the past.” If this isn’t settled, the struggle continues.

Prologue — The Gospel (Christ)

To do this, don’t miss the most important core: What is the Gospel? Who is Christ? You must present this correctly.

1. Gen 3:15 / Gen 6:14 / Ex 3:18 / 1 Sam 7:9 / Isa 7:14 / Matt 16:16

Gen 3:15 — The fundamental problem is solved: the woman’s offspring will crush the serpent’s head.
Gen 6:14 — Unconditional grace: whoever is inside the ark lives.
Ex 3:18 — Suffering doesn’t end on its own; go and offer the blood sacrifice—otherwise the hardship continues.
1 Sam 7:9 — “Return to the LORD.” At Mizpah, Samuel offered a lamb’s blood sacrifice. Philistia attacked, but God toppled them by a miracle of nature—and they never invaded again.
Isa 7:14 — Still, God’s people fall again. So: “The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and call his name Immanuel.”
Matt 16:16 — Even then, people miss it. Near the close of His public ministry, Jesus first asked, “Who do people say that I am?” (a brilliant question). The disciples answered: John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets—i.e., that’s what they themselves thought. Then Jesus asked, “But you—who do you say I am?” When they were silent, Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus told him not to tell anyone yet.

2. The start of the problem—still happening now
If you don’t teach newcomers why we need Christ, they’ll never truly come out. Everything else is noise. “What good is it if you gain the whole world but lose your life?” Jesus said.

The moment you grasp this even a little, darkness collapses. Darkness must be broken. How can churches, homes, and lives be revived if darkness isn’t bound? God truly knows—and the forces of darkness know even better. They must conclude, “I can’t touch this person; I can’t operate in this church.” If instead they think, “I can play here; I can carry this person along,” nothing will work.

Gen 3 / 6 / 11 — This is how it began. Humans by nature center on “me,” and Satan hooks that.
Acts 13 / 16 / 19 — People then thrash about with religion, idols, and many works. It still doesn’t work.
Six states — People fall into six snares. This is still ongoing.

3. The Jews—Seven Disasters (0.1%)
You must tell them: the Jews missed this Gospel and suffered the seven disasters. Yet every time, God raised the few who enjoyed Christ and used them to restore things.

4. The Early Church (Gal 2:11–20)
Even the Early Church often failed to enjoy the Gospel’s power—the apostles included. God used Paul to state it plainly. Not that the early believers were discarded, but for world evangelization, God uses those who truly grasp the Gospel. That’s Gal 2:11–20 (last Sunday’s message).

Peter — Paul pleaded with Peter: “Why are you making trouble in the church over Jewish customs? Why insist on circumcision and avoiding meals with Gentiles?” (Peter had withdrawn out of fear.) Gal 2:20 is crucial.

James — James’s associates also pressured: “Follow Jewish law; be circumcised.” Many pastors still talk like this.

Barnabas — Even Barnabas was swayed. Paul didn’t merely “point it out”; he rebuked him. Then Paul declared, “I have been crucified with Christ… Christ lives in me.” You know the verse—but this is the backdrop: Paul, in anguish, confronted Peter.

Phil 3:1–21 — Paul’s confession: “What weakened Christ among the Jews? The privileges I once prized—I now count as loss, as rubbish. I have nothing to boast; I only pursue that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Earthly things? Our citizenship is in heaven. And the Name to which all things must submit has been given to us.” Unless newcomers receive this, they cannot grow.

5. The Medieval Church

Power & money — They bowed to power and money.
Marian veneration — They devised strange devotions. The issue isn’t Mary per se; it’s that without Christ as the answer, people will always invent something to worship.

You must give the answer—then darkness is broken. Satan knows Christ better than you do; that’s why he blocks you from hearing and enjoying Him. If a newcomer asks, “How do I evangelize?”—no need for a manual: If Christ is truly your answer, it happens. “How will I be healed?” Don’t obsess—if Christ is truly the answer, darkness falls. Make this your life’s task and pass it to newcomers; most believers never really receive it.

Work / People / Field — Where do people drop it? When work comes, they drop the Gospel; when people issues arise, they drop it; when they get to the field, they drop it—and then start saying odd things. In the medieval church, they needed money for the temple and “cleverly” sold indulgences—blocking the Gospel. They preached works like the Jews. But salvation isn’t by works; it’s by grace through faith—because nothing else can defeat darkness. Otherwise people remain bound for life. You must shine the light.

No need to ask, “How?” If the light of Christ is truly in me, isn’t it done? Shine and enjoy Him.

▣ Main Message — The Past (Wounds)

Because this was lost, people can’t let go of the past. The Achilles’ heel? Wounds—and many can’t overcome them.

1) Wounds

How do they begin?

1. Childhood — Often with things that seem “nothing.” A first child adored by everyone suddenly experiences the birth of a sibling; all eyes shift, and the older child feels crushing despair. If spiritually weak, damage can come right then—a wound that never fades. Wise parents should prepare the older child to welcome the baby (have someone else carry the infant in; invite the child to greet the baby, help, etc.). Many families also idolize the firstborn; younger siblings quietly carry lifelong wounds.

2. Parents — If a child judges parents as incompetent, it becomes a deep root. As adults they become aggressive, attacking leaders when they spot faults—subconsciously reliving parental pain. They become negative.

3. Illness / Disability — Not small wounds.

4. Accidents / Incidents — These leave trauma.

5. Spiritual problems — The most fearful—coming “for no reason,” yet inevitable apart from the Gospel.

Only the Gospel heals—not “just enough,” but when the Gospel is declared as finished: like Paul—“I died. My thoughts, my claims, my stance, my interests—none are needed. Christ lives in me.” Then works begin. This is vital for newcomers. When you explain Christ, the example you choose matters.

(Here followed an anecdote of rebuking a former co-worker’s complaints by reminding him of God’s grace in sparing his life for evangelism—i.e., don’t live by people; end it in Christ.)

2) Turning wounds into a platform

It’s hard to do alone; in Scripture, parents and ministers helped provide this platform.

1. Gen 37:11 — Jacob “kept” Joseph’s dreams in his heart. True healing happens when a person’s heart truly connects to God’s Word and Christ.
2. Ex 2:1–10 — Moses’s mother gave him the covenant: blood, Levite identity—fulfilled 80 years later.
3. 1 Sam 1:9–11 — Hannah set Samuel apart as a Nazirite, a leader to save the world. He slept by the ark and heard God’s voice.
4. 1 Sam 16:1–13 — Leaders/parents planted the exact covenant in David—so Goliath and Saul didn’t terrify him.
5. 1 Kgs 19:18–20 — What God spoke to Elijah was passed to Elisha—and answers started immediately.
6. Isa 6:13; 7:14 — Though Israel becomes worse, remnants will survive; carry this Gospel (only Immanuel breaks darkness).
7. 2 Tim 2:1–7 — “My son… Be a good soldier, an athlete, a farmer—God will give you understanding in everything.”

3) Turning the past into blessing

We can help provide the platform, but they themselves must enjoy the blessing.

1. The 7 Remnants — Each turned severe crises into blessings because they had a platform.

2. The Early Church —

Matt 16:16 — Peter’s confession;
Acts 4:12 — No other name for salvation;
1 Pet 2:9 — You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a chosen people—to declare light to those in darkness.

3. Gen 1:3; John 1:1–11; Matt 5:13–16 — God has given you the light of creation. Christ, the Light, shone on you. You’re not told “become light”; you are light. “Arise, shine; the glory of the LORD is upon you.” Enjoy this yourself—and help newcomers sense that Christ the true King, Priest, and Prophet has crushed all darkness.

▣  Conclusion — Explaining how to enjoy 7/7/7

(We’ll cover more in Part 2.) Teach them how to enjoy the 7 watchtowers / 7 journeys / 7 milestones.

1. Inevitable / Necessary / Absolute
“What’s come to you is inevitable—because the Light must come. It’s necessary—it must become your answer. And it’s absolute—God’s grace.” People chase everything and still end in darkness. Help them see what’s truly needed.

2. Watchtower—Watchman
God will raise a watchtower in you—that’s prayer. God becomes your Watchman, and you become a watchman who shines light to others.

3. Platform / Watchman-Tower / Antenna
As you keep this watchtower, God will give you a platform—not business “as before,” but a platform that shines light, a tower with a watchman, and an antenna where life is revived, connection occurs, and spiritual strength is received.

This is the first thing newcomers must know—and you must know it even better. As you keep walking, you’ll find your lifelong covenant. Wait for it. While listening to Sunday sermons, what you must enjoy for the week will emerge. Don’t miss it. Through broadcast and your prayer journal, you’ll see today’s word align—then you’re walking rightly. “How do the headquarters messages and my field match so exactly?” That’s healthy faith.

I bless you in Jesus Christ’s name to pass this blessing surely to every newcomer. Let’s pray.

Prayer. Thank You, God. Grant us a new beginning. Send us quickly to help newcomers truly enjoy Christ, so they come completely out of darkness. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Haggai 2:6-9

We must carry the secret of continually enjoying answers through the Word. The person who did this best was David. Because the temple David prepared was destroyed, God commanded that the temple be rebuilt.

What you must never miss on Sunday is this: always hold to the Word living and working. This has existed from of old. We call this the watchtower.

[Prayer (journey)]
And prayer must actually be living and working. Only then can you go on the journey.

[Evidence (landmarks)]
And real answers actually took place. Real evidences arose. These are landmarks. David was the one who enjoyed this best. Then, as you continue this covenant, what answers arise?

[Triune God, darkness, the Kingdom]
At such times, the Triune God surely works invisibly—now. When you hold to this covenant, darkness is broken even before you go anywhere. If you know this, you cannot help but pray. Those who don’t know this find prayer very difficult. At such times the Kingdom of God and its works are surely fulfilled. In fact, this is what Jesus taught: “Pray for God’s Kingdom to come—don’t do other things. When darkness is bound, the Kingdom of God has come.”

[Lifetime prayer topic]
At such times, your lifelong prayer topics and answers become connected. So what naturally came out for David was temple construction.

“Build a New Temple” (Haggai 2:6–9)
Since the temple was gone, build a new one. We read Haggai 2:6–9 today. When we receive God’s Word and read the Bible, the greatest caution is that we tend to interpret with our heads, and that feels understandable—that’s the mistake. The Israelites had not even returned yet—only just starting to come out—yet God said, “Build the temple first.” Even when they came out of Egypt, before they had even arrived, He said, “Bring out all you have and make the tabernacle.” It doesn’t make sense, does it? Because it doesn’t make sense, people do not believe. And if it did make sense, it wouldn’t be God’s Word. To the fleeing Early Church He said, “Do world evangelization.” Which proved right in the end? God’s Word did. So when we view this covenant—building the new temple from now—the answers David had are even more important.

You, too, must start like this now. Today some of you worship briefly here and go; some worship all day; and some don’t come to the sanctuary at all. What must those who worship all day hold to? These three must be confirmed (Word/watchtower, evidence/landmarks, prayer/journey). If you just look at the flow, you can grasp exactly where you are now. When this continues, your lifelong matters become visible. And, between these two sides, what is happening now is this (Triune God, darkness, Kingdom). It’s tremendous. Because I believe that for certain, I think, “Nothing else is needed. No need to use humanism—just pray.” What do I mean will happen? World evangelization. If world evangelization does not happen, it is not an answer. Eating a lot? You can go to a restaurant and eat a lot—how is that an answer? Earning lots of money? Conglomerates make lots of money; how many receive disaster with their money—how is that an answer? Through you, darkness must be broken and world evangelization must arise—that is an answer.

Many churches are closing and wandering now. I believe that is wrong. European churches have closed; young people are caught in drugs and wholly in homosexuality. I consider that a curse. In many advanced countries, churches are shaken and closing en masse; with so many closing, mental illness is spreading. Failing to block that is the greatest sin and curse. If your studies are used for world evangelization, there is no greater blessing, right? For our church officers, many professionals, and remnants—if your work is used for world evangelization, there is no greater blessing.

▣ Introduction: Causes of the temple’s destruction
We must know the causes of the temple’s destruction. There are several.

  1. Solomon
First, it began with Solomon. When the temple was properly built, doors to the whole world opened—but they didn’t know why. If you truly build the temple God desires, all the doors of the world open. To what extent? The kings of the world considered it their wish to meet Israel’s king. That’s how it was. Chief among their interests was to see the new temple. Those who don’t understand these answers (above) fall into confusion—so many people coming. Thus Solomon made a mistake: he summoned and linked global talents. He brought in men and women—many talents—by the thousands into the royal court.

Solomon thought he had achieved great success. He didn’t realize this blessing was because of the temple; he thought he had tremendous wisdom. His later regret appears in Ecclesiastes. But in reality, he did wield such power. The foreign talents asked Solomon, “We’re so bored and weary. The kings ordered us here, but we’re struggling—we can’t even get around. We have a request: allow us to serve the gods we serve.” At their earnest plea, Solomon made a mistake, thinking it reasonable: “Right, you must be bored—okay.” Especially in Jerusalem, idols spread over the whole city. Then the nation split.

This was the starting point of the temple problem. You must know what the temple is, that we must build it, and what answers we should receive—know the roots well.

  1. Hezekiah
Second, because of King Hezekiah. He was remarkable. As soon as he became king he contacted Assyria: “We can’t send tribute anymore. My father sent it, but why must we pay you? You are your nation; we are ours. We will not send it.” A bold king. Mighty Assyria replied, “Fine—wait,” and marched with 185,000 troops. Hezekiah defeated them—by prayer, to summarize. The whole world was abuzz: “How did they defeat Assyria?” Later he fell ill but again overcame by prayer. He is one of the three good kings—David, Hezekiah, Josiah.

One day there was a banquet in the palace—like today’s summit meeting of world presidents. They gathered in Israel to congratulate Hezekiah. Many asked, “How did you defeat Assyria? And how did you overcome your illness?” At that moment, the faithful Hezekiah made a mistake. He should have said, “By the Lord God’s grace I prevailed.” Instead, he gave them an exact tour of the palace—then the temple: “This is our temple,” showing it off. Worse, he showed the royal treasury (the private storehouses). People easily become like that—“This is who I am.” Among the guests, a Babylonian strategist thought, “This is tremendous. I will one day take it.” With time, they invaded, took all the sacred articles, burned the temple—everything.

Those are distant causes.

  1. The three courts – the three feasts
The real cause? The three courts and the three feasts disappeared. World missions stalled; they could not preach the gospel to the nations; they could not heal the sick. God naturally removed it. So around 600–580 B.C. (various datings), they wiped out the temple. They took all the talented people into captivity—leaving those of little value. The smart ones were summoned to the palace—that’s Daniel. As we saw in the first service today, someone like Ezekiel was not in the palace but dragged to the field. This is the temple issue. Please hold this in your heart and pray. However you may think, those small works among the multiethnic now will later be tied to eternal blessing—you will see later.

▣ Main
What kind of new temple should be built? Since we must pray over this during the week, briefly:

  1. David’s temple
Build the temple David received by covenant.

1) The ark of the covenant
Restore the temple that housed the ark David so longed for.

2) Most Holy Place and Holy Place
Restore the temple that had the Most Holy Place and the Holy Place.

3) Tabernacle-centered, tent of meeting–centered, tent-centered
In the wilderness before David, they lived wholly tabernacle-centered. And what they did most was worship. Yet their wisdom was the greatest in the world. The most sacrificial offerings were given there. And they seized the economy. As people gathered, it became tent-of-meeting–centered. More: the doorways of every house were oriented toward the tabernacle. Tents, too. Restore this.

  1. A temple for all peoples
Second, rebuild a temple that will save all peoples. It’s simple—mentioned earlier.

1) The era of the three courts
These three courts—saving the nations, the children, and the sick—were crucial. Not just that: open the era of the three courts. Such a time had not existed—therefore, open it.

2) The fire of 24, the Fri–Sat–Sun era
Light the fire of 24. What is that? The Friday–Saturday–Sunday era. Light the fire.

3) The era of meditation, the blood sacrifice
Truly open the era of meditation that will save the world. Here a very important term appears: consider most important the offering of the blood sacrifice.

Try it. Many still don’t understand. Many pastors scoff: “We know the gospel too—what more?” It’s not “knowing” the gospel. This is enormous. Without this, you cannot overcome the absolute disaster. Through your prayers, much labor has been given in our Immanuel Seoul Church this year. Works are unfolding where darkness over the 5,000 people groups is being broken through the multiethnic.

  1. The future temple
Rebuild the temple that will save the future. Why?

1) A temple that will block disaster
Prepare a temple that will block worldwide disasters. Even your small work is a ministry that blocks disaster. Hold it spiritually, powerfully, and remember. Pastors nationwide—when you go to preach, you don’t need to preach my sermons or invert previous messages. Proclaim the Word that blocks disaster, which God is fulfilling. A pastor who “preaches well” is not what’s good. What is “well”? Crafting words? That’s bad. Whether they understand or not, deliver the most important things of God’s Word. We must block disaster. As I carry on this covenant, even writing one song a year is hard. But praying much over it—I wondered, “Can this be done, being so hard?” Yet, “That’s your thought—do it by the covenant.” Right? It remains in history. A temple to block disaster.

2) 237–5000
A temple that will save 237 nations and 5,000 people groups.

3) RT
A temple to save remnants—especially TCKs who have lost their way; CCKs living in a darkness culture where the gospel is not heard at all; and even children with no culture at all—NCKs.

I say this with apology, but some lively children came, and they brushed their teeth for the first time in their lives here. Imagine the environment—yet that was one of the better places. Those who came didn’t even know where or how they were sick. They came to attend a conference, and we were led by the Spirit to have them get comprehensive medical checks—everyone had illness. A former president came near death and left alive. We didn’t try to do anything special; simply, love looked after them. Simon has come back to life three times. He even asked to take me as his elder brother—fine. There are many such cases.

We haven’t done anything “well.” By the conscience of faith, if it is the gospel, then we must see the gospel go into them. It’s not about us or our church doing well. Now that these many multiethnic people have come here by such an opportunity, we must help them hear the gospel, be trained, and go to evangelize.

▣ Conclusion
What does the conclusion say? “Thus says the LORD: I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. It is the word of the LORD.”

  1. Heaven-and-earth upheaval
“Heavens and earth” simply put means a cosmic upheaval. This gospel will truly shake heaven and earth.
  2. Shaking of the nations
And, “I will shake all nations.” Not only the land.
  3. Glory
More importantly, “The latter glory will be greater than the former.” That is the promise.

Now, holding to this (above) covenant, you must surely seize lifelong answers this time. You must experience at least once what the power of the Word is. You must confirm how the work of the Word moves your business and your studies. Even now when I think of it, I can hardly understand how God’s Word would work like this. “Ah, it works like this.” I’m thinking we must organize it well and pass it to the next generation.

You must make one resolution to restore such important things. From the beginning until now I have been the same: “What cannot evangelize, poverty, ignorance, sickness, and incompetence—we will change that.” I resolved that. Those new to faith and those alone in faith—resolve to completely change your family line before our next generation. If my work and industry cannot be used for world evangelization, then change it. Change it. When many ministers hold to this covenant, figures begin to arise. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ that this answer will continue throughout this week. Let us pray.

Prayer. We thank You, God. Grant new grace this week. Give new strength to all who attend worship. Bestow special grace on those who are sick and cannot attend. Work with the power of the heavenly throne for remnants scattered across the world. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
