[ Acts 18:1-4 ]
It is a couple who were stripped of everything and expelled. It is not like now, with some international economic line. If you were expelled, it was over. The reason I say not receiving an answer is a blessing is that the answer you are to receive is separate. There are many who work well. There are many more excellent than you. There are many who graduated from good schools because of ability. I am not saying that is bad. What does God want?
I said this to a young adult who graduated from Seoul National University and is a person of mission. “Seoul National University is only about 70th in the world. But there are more excellent people than that. What do you think God wants from you? You have to find that.” There are many capable people. God expelled these people. There are five things they did after coming out. God was trying to have them do that.

Hearing the report, I thought that among female evangelists who did well, not a single one who became a pastor after ordination does well. Why is that? She worked well as a female evangelist, I tell you. One day she becomes a pastor and cannot work. Perhaps she does not know why. Once one becomes a pastor, one must put on pastor’s airs, so everything else disappears, at first. The most important thing is that field 24 disappears. So it is bound to fail. So in my heart I thought, “Oh dear, Evangelist Yoon Jae-sook is much better than Pastor Yoon Jae-sook; what if she goes to seminary and becomes a pastor?” I worried like that. It is a much more fitting word, right? And a much better word to do ministry.
The reason I say this is that we lose the real blessing point of field 24. It is so important. Those who came out of the RTS church leaders’ program must do 24 to revive the multi-ethnic in the field. This Priscilla couple did this (the opening) well too, but they did 24 for Paul’s mission. That is possible because they earned some money and had strength. We must be enjoying this (the multi-ethnic in the field) blessing somewhere. Somewhere church leaders must be in the 24 blessing of enjoying the evangelism blessing (evangelism model). Jungdaewon members, since it is important, you must divide the parts and go toward doing 24 for reviving the future church in the future, even more importantly (future church). It is important. Apart from the fulfillment of the Word of world evangelization, there is no such thing as an answer. Right in this. The covenant that church leaders must hold firmly.
Tomorrow when we gather in the session I will talk about it, but every week you must find it out. The mission. You must find out where your work is today. Truly, how is your relationship of prayer with the pastor and the servants of the Lord of the church? You must find out. We are actually missing what is important. You must find it out at worship. In some ways, every time you worship you must find this prayer even now. So in some ways, after you receive the message and worship, there is empty time, right? This time is a very important time. ▣ Introduction_ The Decision to Grasp the Covenant
1. Grasp the covenant and make a decision as you worship.
1) Multi-ethnic – We will make our nation a missionary nation.
2) We will revive our family lineage and make it a stepping stone.
3) Entrusting to God’s hand, I will experience God’s power. I will become a witness.
2. People of the Bible who turned difficulty into blessing
More difficult is not believing God’s covenant.
1) Abraham – He yielded everything to Lot and began to build an altar before God.
2) Jacob – The time of kneeling at the Jabbok River was a time that changed the destiny of Israel and the world (Israel).
3) Moses – God appeared to Moses. After Moses’ decision, God worked through Moses’ staff.

1. Grasp the covenant and make a decision as you worship.
There were many times our country was hard, after 6.25 [the Korean War]. Now there are many clothes, but back then there were not even clothes. So our country’s level was such that we had to pick up and wear used clothes coming from abroad. So when they came to the village, people would choose among them. But as they tried to choose, arguments would arise, and so on. I was looking out through a slightly opened door. Suddenly my father got angry and hit me in the face saying, “You watch that?” I did not know why. But I got hit wrong and had a nosebleed. It is not that my father aimed at my nose; it just turned out that way. My mother got very angry. That happened, and as time passed it became a life lesson for me. At first I did not understand. I felt bad. I thought, “Why is Father like that?” But as it went on it became a lesson for me. Don’t watch begging. Though poor like that, don’t watch fighting with a beggar’s mentality. “I see.” To me it was a lesson greater than any book.
1) Multi-ethnic – We will make our nation a missionary nation.
The reason I tell you this is that many multi-ethnic people come to our church now. Coming to our church, you must grasp something different. “Our country is not an object of relief. We will make it a missionary nation.” You must resolve. That is God’s will. Our country has become a missionary nation. Many people need that decision.
2) We will revive our family lineage and make it a stepping stone.
“Why is my family background like this?” There are many such people. That is a wrong thought. “I will revive my family lineage and make it a stepping stone.” That decision is needed. There are also sick people. It is worrying. No matter how much you try to forget, it probably cannot be forgotten. This is the decision that must be made at this time.
3) Entrusting to God’s hand, I will experience God’s power. I will become a witness.
“Whether I live or die, whether I am healed or not, I entrust to God’s hand, and I will experience God’s power. I will become a witness.” You must grasp this covenant. Right? That is why people from various fields have gathered at worship. Most people think they cannot receive an answer. “Ah, we are so hard-pressed. Our company is so hard-pressed. I am hard-pressed because of someone.” That may be right. But you must not be like that. “I will stand as a witness by God’s power.” Then that answer comes. But the question is how that answer comes.
Today, as you worship, you must resolve it all at once and go. Is it possible? I mean, is it possible to resolve it all at once? This is what is important now. If it is not resolved all at once, there is no reason for us to worship. Right? One day you will testify. “Ah, as I worshiped, I grasped the covenant and made a decision, and now I have become like this.”
2. People of the Bible who turned difficulty into blessing
Israel has now faced a great crisis. They have difficulty; now they must resolve the matter and go to the land of Canaan. They have not entered yet. The wilderness is hard.
※ More difficult – Not believing God’s covenant
More difficult than the wilderness is the Israelite people who do not believe God’s covenant. Also a few incite them, like this. This is difficult to resolve, I mean. There are many cases in the Bible where people made the blessing of resolving this difficulty at once whenever difficulty came. I will give just a few examples first and enter the Main.
1) Abraham – He yielded everything to Lot and began to build an altar before God
Abraham tried to live by God’s word, but difficulties kept coming. Some kind of crisis came, death came, it came like this. Even more difficult, fighting arose again in the family and household. Fighting arising in the household, that is really hard for you, right? The fighting with Lot occurred, I mean. No matter what he did, it did not work. Abraham resolved it at once. One day, that is what is important. He yielded everything to Lot. And Abraham began to build an altar before God. A completely reversed answer begins.
2) Jacob – The time of kneeling at the Jabbok River was a time that changed the destiny of Israel and the world (Israel)
Let me give one more example. His descendant Jacob. Jacob had an enormous blessing to receive but did not know it and used tremendous schemes. Isn’t that what we learn in the world? “Do your best.” That is right. “Stake your life on it.” That is right. The Bible does not say that. You must know what God tells you to do. Jacob did not realize that. So just like now, if you have property, if you have money, it works. He did it that way. As he returned in this way, he met the greatest crisis of his life. His brother became an enemy and came with adversaries to kill Jacob. If you fight with a stranger, dialogue is easy. Right? If people who know each other fight, there is no dialogue. That is how it ended. He thought his brother would come out to welcome his younger brother who had suffered, but he came out to kill him. At this time was Jacob’s choice at once. He knelt at the Jabbok River. The time of Jacob kneeling was a time that changed the destiny of Israel and the world. At once. So as he prayed, “Your name shall be called Israel.”
3) Moses – God appeared to Moses, after Moses’ decision, God worked through Moses’ staff
His descendant Moses. This Moses, when things had become the hardest and he had fled and was there, God appeared to Moses. When there was nothing. After this Moses made a decision, God worked through Moses’ staff.
3. Make the bartizan of the Lord.
Now then, what must you do and go today? “A crisis has come as I go the wilderness road.” What must you do and go, I mean. Actually I told the evidence first just now, but “I am going the wilderness road and it seems a crisis will come,” I mean. What must I do and go?

The greatest crisis of Israel came. At this time the mother Jochebed, as you see in Exodus chapter 2, grasped the bartizan of the Lord. “World evangelization is God’s will. Israel going to the land of Canaan is God’s will. Then my son being saved is God’s will. I will send my son to the palace. Before I send him, I will firmly implant the covenant and send him.” This is the bartizan. Right? An obvious bartizan. You must not do anything else. When she grasped this, from that time the whole world began to shake, I tell you.
You need to understand the word “shaking.” We made the parking lot well, but our parking lot needs to be bigger. In the multi-ethnic and the 3 Ages, a shaking will occur. No one will believe. No one believed what Jochebed did. There was only one person who believed. Moses. It was turned upside down by this.
2) Moses – Go to offer a blood sacrifice. Go to the elders, the people, and King Pharaoh. When he decided, God performed a miracle through the staff in Moses’ hand.
One day God appeared to Moses. “Take the people of Israel and go to offer a blood sacrifice.” It was a story he had heard from his mother. It flashed, after 80 years. “Tell this fact first to the elders. And tell the people, and go to King Pharaoh and tell him.” At first he said he could not go. Not because of unbelief but because his position did not allow him to go. Then in Exodus chapter 4, God tries to call Moses and take him. After that day, Moses makes a decision. It is simple. It begins to be resolved right away. He made this absolute bartizan of God exactly. Moses had nothing in his hand but a staff. This staff performed miracles and this staff parted even the Red Sea. It is nothing, but God works with even one thing in your hand, I tell you.
3) Special bartizan – The bartizan built at Mount Horeb when there was an uproar in the wilderness, God gave an eternal word.
So Moses had brought the people of Israel and now entered the wilderness. The people of Israel cause trouble in the wilderness again. It is a pity, isn’t it? They rebel and cause an uproar. What did Moses do at this time? He climbed Mount Horeb again and began to build a special bartizan before God. At this time God gave the stone tablets that never change, God’s word.

Difficulty has come to you? Set up the Lord’s exact bartizan. Even if you cannot set it up, the very act of resolving to set up the exact bartizan is the beginning. So do not use even a bit of humanism, and when God’s work clearly happens, just move.
Remnant often ask me about what makes them hesitate. “If it makes you hesitate, don’t do it. When even a definite door opens you wonder whether to go or not, so what will you do with that? If the situation is the same, go where the evangelism door will be in the future.”
One of our Remnant was called by the president and was going, and asked me, “Is this better? Or is that better?” “This way is better.” Why? Because it is the side better for evangelism. So the fact that you grasped only this covenant and it is fulfilled, that is today’s worship. Grasp the absolute bartizan. Each time I decided like this. “I am a child of God.” Isn’t it right? Isn’t it? “Then I have no reason to be disappointed because of this. There is no reason to fall because of circumstances. I am God’s evangelism disciple.” That is the end of it. Hold on firmly and go.
2. Pass on the inevitable bartizan to the next generation. Set up the bartizan before you meet problems.
This is the second. The second, which is more important to God, is that you have not yet met an absolute crisis, but pass this on to the next generation. Set up the bartizan before you meet a big problem. This is called the inevitable bartizan. Why is that? No one else can do it for you. Let me give an example.
※ The moment you make a bartizan, the answer begins. From the day the answer Christ comes, you see the Word living and moving, and it is passed on to the next generation.
To whom did he set up this bartizan? To Joshua and Caleb. It is important. The moment you make a bartizan today, the answer begins. It is certain. People who cannot have this experience do not even know why they worship. “Jesus is the Christ.” It sounds like the same word, right? It is not so. You see this word living and moving. Why do they give just the same water? That is what a dead tree says. A living tree is not the same water. Right? This word Christ keeps living, moving, and working. This is passed on to the next generation.
1) Joshua – Just as I was with Moses, I will be with you, he crossed the Jordan and brought down Jericho.
God said this to Joshua. “As I was with Moses, I will be with you. Be bold. Do not be afraid. Do not be dismayed.” Why? Because things would happen that made him have such illusions. Do not be alarmed. Joshua who grasped this covenant crossed the Jordan boldly. The reason was that he said he would go. The servant of God, Moses, said, “I have already given you this land. It will feel somewhat hard. Be bold.” All of our associate pastors must remember. Because you are the leading figures of world evangelization, things will seem to happen that alarm you. “Do not be alarmed.” He brought down Jericho with this covenant. He even began the prayer that stopped the sun and the moon. It did not end there.
2) Caleb – Whenever difficulty arose he appeared grasping the covenant. At the report of the 12 spies, before the mountain region of Anak
This person named Caleb appeared again. This person named Caleb does not show himself, and appears whenever a crisis comes. The person ahead is important, but this person is also important. He has no self-assertion, no self at all, but whenever difficulty arises he appears grasping the covenant. When 10 spies said they could not go in, an uproar occurred. At that time the person who appeared holding the covenant was Caleb. When they had all entered the land of Canaan and arrived at the entrance, they were afraid again seeing the mountain region of Anak. It is the trait of the people of Israel. They are good at wailing. So they gathered, wailed, and made a commotion. At that time again the person who appeared was Caleb. You know well, don’t you?
In a crisis, set up the bartizan of the Lord. Within me.
3. Set up the absolute bartizan for the next generation.
This is the third. Set up this absolute bartizan for the next generation. The young next generation is important too, but set it up for the next generation.
1) The only Lord
Today it said this. “Hear, O Israel. The Lord our God is the only Lord.” It means He is not a god like a demon. He is not a god like a piece of stone.
2) Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and strength. Engrave the Lord’s word in your heart. Pass it on to your children.
So the second thing it said was this. “Give your whole heart. Give your whole mind. Give your whole strength. Love the Lord and engrave it in your heart.” That is setting up the bartizan. “Engrave it in your heart.” There are words you say that are not in your heart, you know. Those do not work. Engrave it in your heart. Engrave this word of the Lord in your heart. And pass it on to your children. You must first engrave this in your own heart. When the bartizan is made, it is passed on to the next generation. When the bartizan that revives you is made within you, in your prayer, it is bound to come.
3) Set up a bartizan that imprints the real thing on the next generation.
“At home, when you sit, on the road, when you lie down, when you rise, make them see it. Tie it on your wrist as a sign. Put it between your eyes as a mark. Put it on the doorposts. Even put it on the outer gate.” What is it? Set up a bartizan that imprinted the real thing on the next generation. You must grasp the covenant.

When you truly grasp the covenant, God begins to fulfill it. So today when you grasp the covenant is the day of the answer. Try it. Then if you just see that flow, the covenant becomes certain again.
Young adults, do not be discouraged, do not listen to people, listen to God’s word. Young adults, if you do not make it now, you will suffer for a lifetime. If you make the Remnant now, you can change the world. We adults must stake our lives and do this and go.
So it said “with all your heart and mind and strength.” Why? Because nothing is more important than this. Suppose disaster strikes your family personally. You cannot stop it. Praying evangelists must arise everywhere. If disaster comes upon our nation, we cannot stop it. This disaster is not something stopped by science. There is no way to stop this. Set up the bartizan of the Lord.
▣ Conclusion_ Deuteronomy 6:4-9
This Deuteronomy chapter 6 verses 4 to 9 is Israel’s song, and their motto. “Hear, O Israel.” This is also Israel’s song. Because Israel did not realize the gospel, their descendants perish. But there is one amazing thing. Millions of people were massacred outside. But these dead Jews all died clutching something like this in their hands. It would be small. In common, all. So the German who killed them asked what this is. They were holding the same thing. That was Deuteronomy chapter 6 verses 4 to 9.
1. The Lord’s bartizan set up in the wilderness – You who realized the gospel, the 0.1%, can save the world.
But 99.9% of the Jews realized it only in the flesh. Those who realized the spiritual gospel, 0.1%, world-evangelized.
Do not worry about your ability; just grasp the covenant. Though it is not seen at all, believe God’s word. You, the 0.1%, can save the world. That is the bartizan of the Lord set up in the wilderness.
I made my decision like that. Ah, there are many who study well. Many. There are many who make money well. Many successful people. It is not bad. Because of those people the nation also stands. It is good.
So I said this to a disciple who studied very well and was successful. “There are many who study well like you. There are also many successful like you. There are many who graduated from Seoul National University like you. The level of Seoul National University used to be only about 70th in the world.” Then if you go outside there are more, I mean. “There is no one who knows Christ like you.” That is what I mean. “You were successful, but you know Christ.” That is it. This is what is important. If you do not know that, you do not know anything, and there are many successful people.
2. 24, 25, eternity – Do 24. The key is the field. The answer you will receive is 25. Leaving a guidepost is eternity.
Today I met three of our associate pastors, who are precious, and I told them this. Do 24. Do you know why the police cannot solve the drug problem? The people who do drugs are 24. The police, from their position, cannot do 24. Then they cannot catch them. They cannot stop them. Do 24. What is the greatest key of 24? It is the field. There are many important things in the field. I told them such things. And “The answer you will receive is 25. That is multi-ethnic evangelization.” Since these three all speak English well, I told them various things, such as “Do multi-ethnic mission.” Leave a guidepost. That is eternity.
3. If you grasp the covenant today, the answer comes.
It is not difficult. Grasp the covenant today. Even a covenant I grasped in the distant past is still coming as an answer even now. It is certain, right? When I did not believe God and had not grasped the covenant, nothing came to me, but even what I grasped when God’s covenant was distant is coming as an answer now.
