1 Kings 18:1-15
After a long time, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Go and present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the land.” 2 So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab.
Now the famine was severe in Samaria, 3 and Ahab had summoned Obadiah, his palace administrator. (Obadiah was a devout believer in the Lord. 4 While Jezebel was killing off the Lord’s prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hidden them in two caves, fifty in each, and had supplied them with food and water.) 5 Ahab had said to Obadiah, “Go through the land to all the springs and valleys. Maybe we can find some grass to keep the horses and mules alive so we will not have to kill any of our animals.” 6 So they divided the land they were to cover, Ahab going in one direction and Obadiah in another.
7 As Obadiah was walking along, Elijah met him. Obadiah recognized him, bowed down to the ground, and said, “Is it really you, my lord Elijah?”
8 “Yes,” he replied. “Go tell your master, ‘Elijah is here.’”
9 “What have I done wrong,” asked Obadiah, “that you are handing your servant over to Ahab to be put to death? 10 As surely as the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to look for you. And whenever a nation or kingdom claimed you were not there, he made them swear they could not find you. 11 But now you tell me to go to my master and say, ‘Elijah is here.’ 12 I don’t know where the Spirit of the Lord may carry you when I leave you. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he will kill me. Yet I your servant have worshiped the Lord since my youth. 13 Haven’t you heard, my lord, what I did while Jezebel was killing the prophets of the Lord? I hid a hundred of the Lord’s prophets in two caves, fifty in each, and supplied them with food and water. 14 And now you tell me to go to my master and say, ‘Elijah is here.’ He will kill me!”
15 Elijah said, “As the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, I will surely present myself to Ahab today.”

Obadiah’s Bartizan

▣ Introduction: What should we do when we meet crisis, hardship, or illness?
Obadiah saw crisis as an opportunity for blessing in the age of darkness.
1. Obadiah, who appeared in the age of darkness, where there was idol worship and the killing of prophets, at a time of crisis
2. Obadiah, who hid 100 prophets
3. A disciple who helped Elijah, whom King Ahab hated the most – Obadiah, who fulfilled God’s work to the end
▣ Main_ The way to receive Obadiah’s answer
1. Have the bartizan of the Lord first and go to meet the crisis.
1) The bartizan of the throne – Because this was formed in me first, I was not afraid of the king who was killing the prophets.
2) The journey of the throne – It seems like I am working in the palace, but I am going on this journey.
3) The guidepost of the throne – Because I found something worth risking my life for, I was certain that this work would become the guidepost of the throne.
2. Fight the spiritual battle first and win first.
1) The battle of Mt Carmel – He completely broke the darkness.
2) Mt Horeb – He gave strength to fight the spiritual battle even more. The answer came out from within the Word. God sent an angel to Elijah, gave him water and bread, gave him strength, and had him walk 40 days and nights to Mt Horeb. There, He gave the answers that He had left 7,000 disciples, that He would change King Ahab, and to find Elisha.
3) The city of Dothan – God sent even more armies to Elisha, who had the power of prayer, and let him defeat Aram without fighting.
▷ Evangelism – Fighting the spiritual battle and gaining spiritual strength comes first.
1 John 3:8, Mark 3:13-15, Luke 10:19 – Because I came to believe in Jesus Christ, who came to destroy the works of the devil, I have the authority to drive out demons, and He gave me the power to overcome the power of the enemy; prayer began. The door to the whole world began to open.
3. Go as a 300% witness.
1) A servant whom the king trusts 100%
2) A person prepared in prayer and the spiritual part 100%
3) Connected to the 100 prophets, the work of Mt Carmel, the 7,000 disciples, and the Dothan movement 100%
▷ When you pray with the Word, the mission comes out. Try connecting it with prayer for six days. You will see the fulfillment of the Word.
▣ Conclusion_ God’s tremendous plan appears wearing the mask called crisis.
That is why we are deceived. Why is that? It is because He does not want to give it to the fakes, but to give it to you.
1. Joseph being taken by human traffickers was the timetable to go out to the world.
2. Joseph going to prison was the road to success.
3. Joseph, who knew this fact – he confessed that God had sent him
