Call to Worship
God is spirit, and
..His worshipers must worship
..In the Spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24

Hymn
Perfect You Are My God
Rose Park

Perfect You are my God
Righteous and Holy
In all of Your ways
Revealing Your glory
In all that You do
All men will worship You

I will worship You
I will praise Your name
For You are the only Lord and King
I will worship You
I will praise Your name
My desire is to honor You Lord

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn
All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name
Edward Perronet

All hail the power of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown him Lord of all!

O seed of Israel’s chosen race
Now ransomed from the fall,
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all.
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all!

Let every tongue and every tribe
Responsive to his call,
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
And crown him Lord of all!

Oh, that with all the sacred throng
We at his feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song
And crown him Lord of all.
We’ll join the everlasting song
And crown him Lord of all.

Responsive Reading
Psalm 17

Leader: Hear me, Lord, my plea is just;
listen to my cry.
People:  Hear my prayer—
it does not rise from deceitful lips.

Leader: Let my vindication come from you;
People:  may your eyes see what is right.

Leader: Though you probe my heart,
though you examine me at night and test me,
People:  you will find that I have planned no evil;
my mouth has not transgressed.

Leader: Though people tried to bribe me,
People:  I have kept myself from the ways of the violent
through what your lips have commanded.

Leader: My steps have held to your paths;
People:  my feet have not stumbled.

Leader: I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
People:  turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.

Leader: Show me the wonders of your great love,
People:  you who save by your right hand
those who take refuge in you from their foes.

Leader: Keep me as the apple of your eye;
hide me in the shadow of your wings
People:  from the wicked who are out to destroy me,
from my mortal enemies who surround me.

Hymn
The Power of the Blood
Lewis E. Jones

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder-working power
in the blood of the Lamb;
there is power, power, wonder-working power
in the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide.
There’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow;
there’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood.
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful power in the blood. [Refrain]

Scripture Reading
Genesis 37:1-11
Carmetta Williams

Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land of Canaan.

This is the account of Jacob’s family line.

Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made an ornate robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”

His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.

Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

10 When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?” 11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

Message
Joseph’s Bartizan
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su

※ Make a definite bartizan of God.
1. Remnant – something that cannot help but happen, find what to study and how. Make money come to you. Prepare 300%.
2. New believers – turn every field into a blessing.
3. Foreigners – do not let your heart be taken by present problems; think of the church as your own home and prepare for the future.
4. Those with no one to help them – the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will guide, bring things to remembrance, and be with them forever.
5. The elderly – a mission for old age

▣ Introduction
1. What you must see first upon going to the field
1) Natural – it is natural. I must change myself and save the other person.
2) Inevitable – God showed that to me.
3) Absolute – God’s plan
2. Joseph had the secret of world evangelization – the offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15).
3. Joseph went as a spiritual emperor, giving the answer to the emperor with this
1) Family evangelization – the sheaves bowed down.
2) World evangelization – the sun, moon, and stars bowed down.
3) With this covenant, go into the absolutely impossible, nobody, and nothing.

▣ Main: What the Remnant must take
1. Enjoy the emperor’s secret prayer alone (Genesis 37:1-11).
1) Prayer 300% – Joseph learned this prayer during the greatest suffering of his life
2) Build the strength to pray alone.
3) You must be able to enjoy Christ, who is the key to the bartizan, the journey, and the guidepost of the throne.

2. Enjoy the emperor’s secret prayer in the midst of suffering (Genesis 39:1-6).
1) The road of being dragged away as a slave – he knew that he was going on the road where the dream would be fulfilled.
2) Potiphar’s house – he cleaned and ran errands while praying.
3) Work, economy 300% – God’s blessing came upon that house, and he became the household manager.

3. Enjoy the emperor’s secret prayer in the midst of false accusation (Genesis 40).
1) The exact path of the Remnant is nobody – there was no one to help.
2) Nothing – the place where the Remnant truly receives the answer is elsewhere.
3) Politics 300% – he gained the power of prayer and became the prison manager.

4. Enjoy the emperor’s secret prayer that sees the secret of God who works in the incident.
1) The incident of the chief cupbearer forgetting Joseph (Genesis 40:23) – God’s absolute plan is contained in it.
2) Joseph, who came to stand as the spiritual emperor who saved the emperor because of the dream Pharaoh had.
3) Evangelism 300% – “The Lord God will make it known.”

5. Enjoy the emperor’s secret prayer that enters into the blessing where world evangelization is accomplished.
1) World salvation
2) Family salvation
3) Joseph said to his brothers that he would take responsibility for them and future generations to the end

▣ Conclusion
1. Hold firmly to this covenant and build the bartizan until it becomes prayer.
1) Hold onto the bartizan, journey, and guidepost of the throne and pray – the bartizan stands.
2) 24, 25, eternity become possible.
3) A summit prayer that conquers the world comes forth.

2. Because the covenant is eternal, Joseph’s faith was the same when he became a slave, when he became prime minister, and when he met his brothers.
▷ Young adults – finish everything within 10 years. When you grow old, you must evangelize and do missions.

3. The bartizan, journey, and guidepost of the throne – must be heard as fact, not as vain talk or abstract talk.

Tithes & Offering

Hymn
My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less
Edward Mote

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace;
in every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil. [Refrain]

His oath, his covenant, his blood,
support me in the whelming flood;
when all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay. [Refrain]

When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found:
dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne. [Refrain]

Prayer

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Hymn
We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Don Besig · Nancy Price

Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.

And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!

We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail.  Chorus

Benediction
