Call to Worship
God is spirit, and
..His worshipers must worship
..In the Spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24

Hymn
Perfect You Are My God
Rose Park

Perfect You are my God
Righteous and Holy
In all of Your ways
Revealing Your glory
In all that You do
All men will worship You

I will worship You
I will praise Your name
For You are the only Lord and King
I will worship You
I will praise Your name
My desire is to honor You Lord

Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn
O Day of Rest and Gladness
Christopher Wordsworth

O day of rest and gladness,
O day of joy and light,
O balm of care and sadness,
Most beautiful, most bright;
On thee the high and lowly,
Through ages joined in tune,
Sing “Holy, holy, holy,”
To the great God Triune.

On thee, at the creation,
The light first had its birth;
On thee, for our salvation,
Christ rose from depths of earth;
On thee, our Lord victorious,
The Spirit sent from heav’n;
And thus on thee, most glorious,
A triple light was given.

Today on weary nations
The heav’nly manna falls;
To holy convocations
The silver trumpet calls,
Where gospel light is glowing
With pure and radiant beams,
And living water flowing
With soul-refreshing streams.

New graces ever gaining
From this our day of rest,
We reach the rest remaining
To spirits of the blest;
To Holy Ghost be praises,
To Father, and to Son;
The church her voice upraises
To Thee, blest Three in One.

Revelation 21

Leader: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,
People: for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Leader: I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
People: prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Leader: And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
People: Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people,

Leader: and he will dwell with them. They will be his people,
People: and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Leader: There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain,
People: for the old order of things has passed away.”

Leader: He who was seated on the throne said,
People: “I am making everything new!”

Hymn
Happy Day
Philip Doddridge

O happy day that fixed my choice
On Thee, my Savior and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice,
And tell its raptures all abroad.

Happy day, happy day,
When Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray,
And live rejoicing every day;
Happy day, happy day,
When Jesus washed my sins away!

’Tis done—the great transaction’s done;
I am my Lord’s, and He is mine;
He drew me and I followed on,
Rejoiced to own the call divine.  Refrain

Now rest, my long-divided heart,
Fixed on this blissful center, rest;
Here have I found a nobler part,
Here heav’nly pleasures fill my breast.  Refrain

High heav’n that hears the solemn vow,
That vow renewed shall daily hear!
Till in life’s latest hour I bow,
And bless, in death, a bond so dear.  Refrain

Scripture Reading
Isaiah 66:12-24
Carmetta Williams

For this is what the Lord says:

“I will extend peace to her like a river,
    and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream;
you will nurse and be carried on her arm
    and dandled on her knees.
13 As a mother comforts her child,
    so will I comfort you;
    and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

14 When you see this, your heart will rejoice
    and you will flourish like grass;
the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants,
    but his fury will be shown to his foes.
15 See, the Lord is coming with fire,
    and his chariots are like a whirlwind;
he will bring down his anger with fury,
    and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For with fire and with his sword
    the Lord will execute judgment on all people,
    and many will be those slain by the Lord.

17 “Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things—they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.

18 “And I, because of what they have planned and done, am about to come and gather the people of all nations and languages, and they will come and see my glory.

19 “I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations. 20 And they will bring all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels,” says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels. 21 And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites,” says the Lord.

22 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. 23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord. 24 “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

Message
The Promise Given to Those Who Remain
Pastor Ryu Kwang Su

▣ Introduction
1. The covenant to hold onto when a crisis comes and there is no one to help: the Remnant
1) The Babylonian invasion and the situation of Israel taken captive
2) What is natural – 99% who left God for a reason, and 1% who remained without a reason (world evangelization)
3) Those whom God has kept (Remnant) – “I am the Remnant who will save my family line, my field, and my region.”

2. The blessings God gave to the Remnant
1) He will make peace flow like a river and overflow to the nations.
2) As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.
3) When the time comes, He will gather the nations and all peoples. He will reveal His glory to the nations through you. He will reveal this light of glory.
(1) Those who have fallen into darkness – mental illness, increasing suicide
(2) Be resolved: “God has established me as a Remnant to shine light into the darkness.”
▷ Not knowing the gospel and offering cattle and sheep and burning incense is the same as murder and idol worship.

3. The Bible – three categories
1) What even unbelievers can understand.
2) What only the saved can understand – the blood covenant, Christ
3) The message given to those who will move the world = today’s message (just believe.)

▣ Main
1. Secret
1) You will survive on your own.
2) You must see the spiritual reality.
3) God’s plan is in a place you have not thought of, on the opposite side.
4) No competition – victory without fighting.
5) Nobody – there is no one to help, but God is leading me.

2. Background
1) The power of the throne is yours (Is 6)
2) Only the power of the gospel overcomes darkness (Is 7:14).
3) The power of the Word – those who wait only on the eternal Word will receive new strength (Is 40).
4) The power of prayer – when you pray, He will do a new thing (Is 43).
5) The power of restoration – He will restore the world and those fallen into darkness with light (Is 60).
6) The watchman – He has established you as a watchman who moves the throne (Is 62).
7) The Remnant (Is 66)

3. Do not be deceived!
1) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego – “Even if He does not …”
2) Daniel – the Lord’s angel shut the lions’ mouths so they could not harm him.
3) Esther

▣ Conclusion
1. 237 – He will cause the light of glory to overflow. This light must be shone upon the nations (v. 12, 18).
2. 5000 – Shine the light on the distant islands (v 19).
3. What happens during worship, prayer, and times of crisis – God sends His angel to protect you.

Hymn
Jesus Is My Way, Truth, and Life

Jesus is my way,
And He is my truth,
Jesus is the life in me
Since I met the Lord,
Asked Him in my heart
My life’s never been the same

When I am in Him,
And He is in me
He will answer all my prayers
What I have is something
That the world can’t offer
What I have in Jesus is true peace

In this life, I live for Jesus Christ
With His covenant rooted in my heart
When the Lord gives me His power
He will use my life to share
His gospel to the world.

Prayer · Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Hymn
We Will Keep Our Faith Alive!
Don Besig · Nancy Price

Gathered here, within this place,
We can share in God’s redeeming grace.
There’s no room for doubt or fear;
We can feel His presence here.
As we face each passing day,
We will serve and honor and obey;
And if hope should start to dim,
We will know our trust is in Him.

And we will keep our faith alive,
God will always be our guide.
Through the darkest night,
We will see God’s light.
We will keep our faith alive!

We will live as God has planned,
Though at times we may not understand.
Many things we may not see,
But our faith will help us believe.
From His Word we learn the truth;
Through His love we all are born anew.
With His help, we will not fail
For we know our God will prevail.  Chorus

Benediction
