▣ Introduction_ When Facing Suffering and Difficulties

▣ Main_ What You Who Are Saved Must Hold Onto

1. Even when discouraged, the people of God never change because they have God’s promise. At that time, He is making greater preparations.

1) Moses’ 40 years in Midian after committing murder and fleeing – the time when the message he heard through his mother was completely organized (Genesis) → When difficulties come, if you first organize the exact Word of God and wait, a miracle will surely take place. Hold onto the covenant and wait.

2) Moses, who thought it made no sense when told to go to King Pharaoh and say he would offer a blood sacrifice – Say that the Lord has spoken. I will strike them with My mighty hand. After stepping out of his own position and holding onto the covenant, tremendous answers took place.

3) God came to the discouraged Elijah with something greater. “I have left 7,000 disciples. I will change the king. Find Elisha.” This is how the Dothan City movement arose.

2. Because the life of the gospel (antenna) is within you, the resurrected Lord appears and directly rules over you.

1) Even now He has risen and works through the Holy Spirit, so try praying in the name of Jesus Christ.

2) When the disciples went fishing, Jesus came to find them. He is clearly with us through the Holy Spirit, the Counselor. Do not test, but experiment.

3) At night, set something important and try praying with concentration in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The work of darkness being broken will surely take place.

3. The one and only condition given to Peter who had the gospel – “Do you love Me?”

3) Jesus who knows us – He knew that the denial was not real and that the confession of love was real, so He gave a strong promise.

▣ Conclusion_ Why is there no answer to prayer? Why do unbelievers live well?

▣ Introduction_ When Facing Suffering and Difficulties

When we face great suffering, we become flustered. Almost anyone would be like that. Even people with faith will pray, but they will feel difficulty.

Now, at times like this, things where the inside and the outside are different tend to come out. The people who received help from Jesus and overcame illness, when this incident broke out, in their hearts they wouldn’t have been like that. They would have been grateful. But they all ran away. Even the disciples who saw Jesus’ power firsthand ran away, I’m telling you. Even, as you know, right before that incident, Peter denied Jesus three times. When something big happens, almost all people go through confusion with two minds like this.

Pilate’s trial was like that too. Clearly this man (Jesus) has done nothing wrong, but the people are pressing hard like this, and he can’t refuse to grant it either. Because this man (Pilate) had gone through this kind of thing twice before, he handed Jesus over to be executed.

Actually, what about the hearts of those Jews? Among the Jews, there are people who know the Bible well. Even though they saw and heard a lot about Jesus, when this kind of thing happened, they fell away.

Moreover, the situation isn’t like our situation, you know. Crucifixion is an extremely frightening punishment. It’s the crucifixion given only to very evil people. That too, and after He was executed, there was talk like “He came back to life,” and talk like “No, He didn’t,” so wouldn’t there have been confusion in those words? So these people said, “Now let’s go fishing.” It’s not something to see as very bad, they could go fishing. Because they were fishermen.

What we must remember here is that when suffering comes or difficulties come, without realizing it, we go back to the old days. They are people who should now be diligently proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus, but these people said, ‘Let’s go fishing,’ and went fishing. So when suffering comes, many people suffer great loss and begin to waver.

But it is recorded differently in the Bible. When great suffering comes to the unsaved, that is an opportunity for destruction. People who are still trapped in the law don’t know what this means, but what is the difference between ‘saved’ and ‘not saved’? They also talk about many things. They say, ‘The saved must live like this.’ It’s right, but it’s wrong.

3. What is different about the saved

The saved are different in just one thing. Where are they different? What, after you’re saved, does your face suddenly become handsome? Not at all. After I was saved, I prayed a lot, so I actually shrank 1cm. What on earth is different? Just one thing is different.

Everyone, hearing that someone you don’t know committed suicide and hearing that someone you know did it are different. When the news says, ‘OO committed suicide,’ if I’m like a relative, it becomes a shock to the one who hears it. Since it says ‘committed suicide,’ the family is completely shocked. It’s not as if they didn’t know about such things. He was that kind of person, but when such a great difficulty came, he couldn’t endure it and like this……. There were quite a lot of such people. Among such people, something like ‘Mr. Park Won-soon did that,’ I wasn’t very close to him, so I just thought, ‘Oh, so that happened,’ but I was really startled when Mayor Ahn Sang-young committed suicide. The reason I remember it more is that it was when I was holding a conference in America, I’m telling you. While holding a conference in America, I was getting ready to come out, and our secretaries slipped a sheet of paper under my door. They fold a paper and slip it in when there’s something particular to deliver or when something special came up at that day’s conference. So I looked to see what paper it was, and it was written, ‘Mayor Ahn Sang-young suicide.’ I really had a strange feeling, I’m telling you. He and I were close. So what suddenly struck my heart was, ‘Ha, that’s right. I should have proclaimed the gospel clearly without being conscious of others…….’ That thought came first. I had understood people who proclaim recklessly anywhere without shame as ‘people who have gone a little off.’ My personality is a bit, even things I want to say, I say while reading the room, I’m that kind of disposition. But at that time I regretted it just once, I’m telling you. My personality is bad. I should have proclaimed it no matter what. How close and how much this man (Mayor Ahn Sang-young) liked me, I was coming down from Seoul, and without any appointment, we ran into each other on the same plane at the airport. Our seats were a little different, of course. So as soon as the plane arrived, he came to me, shook my hand, held my hand, and walked holding my hand all the way to where I got into the car. If it was to that extent, shouldn’t I have proclaimed the gospel? So, like this, who knew it would suddenly turn out like that. Some things like that became such a shock to me.

Another time, it was quite a while ago. I went to a conference in Gimhae with our secretaries, and there’s some hotel in Gimhae. Our secretaries had booked my room at that hotel. And especially, our secretaries book a nice place if possible so that I can rest. So I lay down to sleep, and when I looked, there was a line of writing there at the hotel. ‘The room where President Roh Moo-hyun slept.’ Because he and I knew each other well. I felt really strange. ‘Doesn’t that mean he lay in my spot?’ I really have a strange temperament too. So I didn’t sleep; I got up and sat in a chair, I’m telling you. So how could I sleep? How much of a shock it gives us, and how hard it must have been for him to do that. Everyone, the answer is simple. For the unsaved, when a great difficulty comes, that is the timetable of ruin.

For the saved children of God, the words that the Holy Spirit of the Lord is within me mean, ‘An amazing Spirit that communicates with the throne has come as an antenna.’ You must absolutely believe this. Don’t even make choices; if you just pray, the work is bound to take place. When I look at most cases, even people who say they live a decent church faith life keep making absurd choices when a great difficulty comes and collapse, you know.

3) God is firmly holding onto your entire life.

I’m sorry to mention an individual’s name, but our church’s Elder Jeong Myeong-ju is a person who worked hard at his business, and one day he couldn’t do business and went to America. So actually, it’s even hard to ask, and it’s so much hardship, right? Still, when I hold a conference at some church in America, he comes to the conference. At that time, there was one thing that really surprised me. I wasn’t surprised by anything else, but there was one thing I was surprised by, thinking inside, ‘This is not an easy thing.’ You know the content of the conferences I held in Korea, he has it all down thoroughly. That’s hard even for me. Even I have all of my sermons down in my head? That’s not an easy thing, is it? And he talks about it. He also shows me what he wrote down. So I think, ‘Wow, God is going to bring an important restoration.’ I saw God give a truly miraculous restoration that could never possibly happen. This is the difference.

Everyone, the unsaved don’t have the Spirit of God, right? Such people completely collapse. They are ruined. And they even bring ruin on their whole family. The people of God never collapse no matter what suffering comes. Simply put, within you there is the platform where the blessings of the throne, the power of God, and the Triune God come upon, and within you there is the watchtower, and there is the antenna.

▣ Main_ What You Who Are Saved Must Hold Onto

How is that possible? I will tell you simply in three points. These are what you must hold onto today. If you don’t know this, if you are saved but don’t know this, it becomes a little difficult until you know it. Right? If your child has something important right now but doesn’t know it, you keep saying something until they know, I’m telling you. Your young, adorable grandchild, if they keep going down a difficult road, a dangerous road, you keep telling them, I’m telling you. Even because you love them, you even spank them. Why? Because they’ll die. There is absolutely no such thing

Now, later everyone knew he was a Hebrew, and since this man killed this Egyptian, would they just leave him alone? So actually he ran away. The land he fled to is the land called Midian, right? He fled there. There, it wasn’t even 4 months. He was there for 40 years. How hard must it have been? But no. At that time, God prepared something tremendously great for Moses. The message he heard through his mother was completely organized, and that is Genesis. It’s tremendous, right? Everyone, when a great difficulty comes, if you first organize the exact Word of God and wait, a miracle will surely take place. It is certain. Everyone, it’s tremendous. Look. Why was humanity destroyed? The Garden of Eden incident. Why did humanity gain power but become demon-possessed? The Nephilim incident. Why does humanity all collapse after succeeding? The Tower of Babel incident. Such enormous things are recorded. Almost all scholars agree that he organized this in Midian. I agree too.

Everyone, the timetable of holding onto the exact covenant is your timetable of facing difficulty. If so, it is a tremendously great blessing. God has prepared something tremendous. Everyone, you don’t think that way, right? When you face difficulty, you think, ‘Ah, why is it so hard for me?’ Catch it quickly. A difficulty came? ‘God is preparing something better for me.’ It is certain. It is like this only for the saved. Right? It’s like this only for the saved.

‘I don’t know whether I’m saved or not.’ I don’t know about such people, but it’s like this only for the saved. This is the difference. So people don’t know this well. So didn’t I tell you this when I was a student? When I was a student, while holding a retreat for our students, I said this. It would be good if you went many times, but just once, go find the most famous, well-known fortune-teller in that neighborhood and try evangelizing. Just once. Try it, I’m telling you. Not the kind who use books and such, but there are people who are completely possessed. Simply put, aren’t these people Nephilim? It’s not their own power. There’s something. Go and see. These people get the past right and even talk about the future, I’m telling you. So people are deceived. In the end it’s Satan’s deception, but they fall for it. “Go and see,” I said. So just once, try evangelizing. What was I trying to say? They recognize it at once. I believed the words in the Bible, “sealed with the Holy Spirit,” but when I went to evangelize, I truly felt it and knew it. Everyone, as children of God, the Holy Spirit is within you and you’ve received the seal of the Holy Spirit, and these people’s spirits are a little open, right? They know immediately. It’s different. You can absolutely never be ruined. In the suffering you face, even now, don’t unconditionally choose something else and try to rush around; hold onto the covenant and wait. It’s similar to last Sunday’s sermon main points. But it’s a little different.

In great suffering, should you do this, should you do that. And it looks like you’re going to be ruined right now. I mean, they say if you proclaim the gospel they’ll lock you up or kill you, so it looks like you’re going to be ruined, right? At that time, everyone, almost all people don’t just misjudge this; they choose something else.

As you know, the aged Moses knew that he absolutely could not do it. Actually, Moses didn’t say anything wrong. He wasn’t speaking unbelief. He was speaking the facts. “Go to King Pharaoh,” He said, right? “Go and say that you will offer a blood sacrifice.” Now, Moses knows that this makes no sense right now. They’re waiting to find Moses and kill him, and appearing right there is the same as going and asking them to kill him. King Pharaoh doesn’t know what something like a blood sacrifice means. He’s telling him to go there and do it. “God, I can’t.” Moses said. “Please send someone worth sending. I can’t.” Right? So anyway, he made excuses. “I’m poor at speaking too, and that man won’t even listen to me. Will the people of Israel listen to me?”

“I will be with you. If the people of Israel ask, say that the Lord has spoken. Go with the elders and tell them. They will listen to you. If they don’t listen, I will strike them with My mighty hand. This is the sign,” He said, right? He understood. It’s not that Moses didn’t know that content now, I’m telling you. He was thinking about his own position.

At that time his eyes opened wide. ‘That’s right.’ It’s not my position. From this point, for Moses, Moses had nothing, right? He had only one staff. That parted the Red Sea, and that broke the rock, and did everything. God had prepared for Moses things that had not even once been done before. Right? Everyone, the answers to Moses that happened after that are astonishing. The three feasts, the tabernacle, it’s an uproar. Right? We don’t know things like this. Everyone, God has prepared something tremendous behind you, and He has to first give suffering so that you’ll realize it, right? Because the door opens when you knock. Seeing that, we become so discouraged. You are different. Because you are different, you’re called ‘saints (聖徒).’ Children of God. This book is a different book. It’s different writing, I’m telling you. That’s why it’s the Holy Scriptures (聖經). The character 聖 (holy) means different. Everyone, gathering strength and prayer here to build a temple? It’s a different building. That’s why it’s called a ‘holy temple (聖殿).’

Look again among the many scattered people today. In the Old Testament too, like Elijah, “I can’t do it anymore.” He suffered too much. You must interpret this well. When too much suffering comes, people easily become like that, I’m telling you. I mean, if he fought the false prophets and won, they should praise him and surrender, but instead they’re trying to completely kill him. Isn’t that what this Elijah said then? If things go even slightly wrong, even Elijah, who had such great faith, says such words. “God, I can’t do it anymore. Now everyone has died and only I remain.” He was even mistaken. And “Please take me now.” Everyone, how hard must it have been for him to pray this prayer. “Please just take me now.”

But it hadn’t even begun yet. God came to Elijah, who was suffering now, with something greater. At that time, He sent the angel of the Lord and gave him new strength. “Besides you, I have left 7,000 disciples. Do not fear the evil king. I will change him.” God changes it. “Find Elisha.” The movement that arose this way is the Dothan City movement.

You must remember the first point. Right now, when the disciples of Israel were in so much pain, “what should we do,” at a time like this, Jesus appeared.

Ask our Pastor Yoon on Jeju Island; there are people completely possessed by evil spirits in their minds who can’t be controlled. Go there and try evangelizing once. Try it, I’m telling you. Don’t do it as a joke; try it for real, I’m telling you. It’s even better if you take those people, and even better if you bring monks. But would those people come? They won’t come. If they come, rather than me, go together with a monk and a priest like this and try it once, I’m telling you. Let the monk go and try it once in the name of Buddha, I’m telling you. So those people won’t come, for sure. They can’t come. So you go and try it, I’m telling you. “I command you in the name of Buddha,” try it once. “I command you in the name of Mary,” try it, I’m telling you. First, do it from a distance. You’ll get beaten to death. It’s a strange thing. If you do it in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, they tremble and tremble. Some people foam at the mouth. It’s an amazing thing. There’s no way to stop that name. Even now He has risen and is working through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Lord. It is certain. So you must realize this. The time I suffer is the time when He prepares the best thing for me who has the covenant. Because the seed of the gospel is within you, just as there’s a chip in your cell phone, you’re bound to be connected.

Jesus appeared there. But no one recognized Him. Jesus asked, right? “Do you have any fish?” He asked like this. But they answered, “We fished all night, but we didn’t catch a single one.” It’s hard. Everyone, fish are caught best at night like this. But they didn’t catch a single one at night.

When our teams go fishing now, it’s not in just one place. There’s something over there and over here. When it’s exactly time, a boat comes to pick them up, like this. Then just by looking at the face of the person getting on the boat, you know, ‘Ah, that person caught something. Didn’t catch anything.’ Usually, there are people who come down with a face that’s already proud. That one caught something. Mostly people who know it well get on, right? Next, they come down smiling meekly. Didn’t catch anything. Going to catch something and not catching it feels very empty.

So Jesus asked. “Did you catch any fish?” When He asked, “We didn’t catch a single one.” “Cast it on the right side,” He said. I mean, nothing was caught like that, but when they cast it to the right, it came up so much the net was about to tear, it said, right? Then, as it got bright, one disciple saw and said, “It is the Lord.” “The resurrected Lord has appeared.” So together, Peter, Peter was so startled then, he put on his outer garment and jumped into the water, right? They ate breakfast, a meal together like this. That is the second lesson given to us. Now, since He was transfigured and went, He is with us, clearly, through the Holy Spirit, the Counselor.

Don’t test, but experiment. Everyone, night prayer, at night, be sure to try it. With concentration, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, try praying once for something important. Try it. The work is bound to take place. It’s bound to take place, and according to God’s will at that.

Didn’t I talk about it before? A certain pastor in Busan. This pastor’s church wasn’t in a big state like this, but when he had a child, his daughter couldn’t speak. But this man was having such a hard time that he went to the church every night and prayed. If I said his name, you’d all know. He’s a famous pastor. Every night this man prayed. But the daughter still can’t speak. But was the prayer answered? In this pastor’s worship, sermons, and prayers, in the very field where he just proclaims the Word, demons leave, you know. I was startled. Ah, He answers like that too. God, through that daughter, makes the pastor like that too.

Also, there was a certain testimony that came out. I forgot the name right away, but he’d probably have become a pastor, right? When he was an evangelist, such a thing happened at his church. He built one church building, but not a single member came. That village was a village that had made a firm pledge not to go to church. So he worships alone. He’s worshipping, but people have to come. He worships by himself. So someone came. He came, but when he looked, this person was deaf. Since he can’t hear, he can’t speak. This again is the opposite kind of work. So this man said, “We must do a 3-day fasting prayer together.” So they prayed at the church. It became 3 days, and he should be healed, this. This man who couldn’t hear said he was hungry, he couldn’t go on. He said he can’t do it now, he’s going to go. He told him. So he wrote (in writing), “Aren’t there still a few hours left of 3 days? It hasn’t been 3 days.” This man listened quietly, and it was right? That night the work took place. It can happen like that. You can’t know.

3) At night, set something important and try praying with concentration in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The work of darkness being broken will surely take place.

Praying in the name of Christ, in the name of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, surely brings about the work. You must believe. What is it? The work of darkness being broken will surely take place. Right? At the very end, when He asked again, at the very end, “Being grieved, don’t You know, Lord, that I love You?”

And how great a promise He made, He promised world evangelization, “In the future I will lead you where you do not want to go.” He gave just one condition. “Do you love Me?” “Yes, I’m telling You.” Within these three things, salvation is included. And in today’s event, the invisible presence of Christ is also revealed.

In this more important question, it’s about knowing us. It’s very important. I know President Yoon Suk-yeol. I know him, but he doesn’t know me well. Right? That isn’t knowing. That isn’t knowing. An important elder of ours, our member, who is still working, apparently kept talking to President Yoon Suk-yeol about Pastor Ryu. He apparently said that he must listen to Pastor Ryu’s sermons. He said he understood, and he said he’d call Pastor Ryu, but, well, I mostly keep my phone off. I don’t have time to turn on my phone. I hold conferences almost all day long, so I mostly keep it off. Then there are a lot of things that come in from abroad or wherever, right? They’re all piled up. He surely called, but I didn’t get it. Then he said he would definitely make time for a meal. Anytime is fine. That isn’t knowing. It’s roughly knowing from hearing. It isn’t knowing.

The word ‘know’ means I know exactly who that person is, and that person also knows exactly who I am. Peter gave this answer today, and Jesus asked the question. Right? ▣ Conclusion_ Why is there no answer to prayer? Why do unbelievers live well?

While you hold onto the important covenant and pray today, lastly, take note of just one thing. Many people ask like this, “Why is there no answer to prayer?” Because they’re frustrated. Also, there are times when thoughts come like, “Those people don’t even believe, so how do they live so well?” I’m telling you.

1. Habakkuk 2, Engrave My word on stone. So that it will not disappear, so that it may be seen even while running

God answered Habakkuk. “Engrave My word on stone.” What does it mean? “Engrave it so that it will not disappear,” that’s what it means. “Say it so that it may be seen for eternity even while running.”

2. Isaiah 40, Say that the word of the Lord will stand forever.

It is spoken like this in Isaiah 40. God speaks. “Go up on that mountain and speak the word of the Lord.” What does that mean? “Speak so that everyone may hear. Say that the word of the Lord will stand forever.” He said it to the one who suffered, I’m telling you. What does that mean? “Does it seem as though there is no answer to your prayer? He showed the evidence of the Triune God and for 40 days gave the kingdom of God, its work, and mission. “Entrust it to God, do not pray other prayers, and wait.” He promised that only when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive power.

▣ Conclusion_ Hold on to this covenant.

1. The Triune God works invisibly.

2. 40 days – He explained the work of the kingdom of God.

The Tomb That Will Be Evidence Later (John 19:31-42)

The text we will read today is where Jesus now enters the tomb. But this is the tomb that will be evidence later. It is recorded today in John chapter 19 verses 31 to 42. In the first service, we confirmed Jesus suffering and dying.

[ 3·9·3 ]

You who are seated here, or when you begin your day tomorrow, just comfortably, when you open your eyes, start praying, like this (3·9·3). When you start, well, you can sit and do it like this, but there is no need to do it that way. You can just pray while you are getting ready. Only, when you do it, do this prayer of enjoying 3·9·3 slowly while breathing like this, in the morning. Continually. People who have had cancer, and people who have the possibility of getting it, must especially do this. Also, those who have depression or who are having a bit of a hard time spiritually, especially, no matter how late you get up, the time until you can officially be active is the morning. You can pray for several hours.

[ Continual Prayer ]

Now when you meet people and so on, activity now begins, so that is the daytime. At that time too, comfortably, while breathing long like this and praying, change every person, meeting, and whatever comes to mind into prayer. If you try changing everything into prayer, at first it looks like nothing, but there is a tremendous difference.

You know there are people whose personality is to get angry and such. At first it doesn’t show much. It doesn’t show, but later there is a tremendous difference. You must be healed while doing this (continual prayer) like this. Also, without even realizing it, things don’t go the way you want, right? You become depressed and so on. A person must keep doing it even then, like this. Even during worship, if you just sit like this, it becomes a tremendous amount of energy. While breathing in this (3·9·3) prayer, where the prayer goes a bit long and slow like this, you focus completely on the message like this.

[ Deep Prayer ]

When you come to be alone, simply put, that is the night. You do somewhat deep prayer.

If you do this, your day is not boring even if you are alone. Some people, when you look at them, it really shows that they have too much time. So they think about all sorts of things. If you are busy, you can’t do that.

[ Covenant Fulfillment, Future Fulfillment ]

If you keep praying like this, a very important thing comes out. Don’t try to receive some big answer; you are just praying, enjoying God, like this. If you remain like this, the time comes when the covenant God spoke is fulfilled. And the word that will be fulfilled in the future comes out. I am within this. Then it is the best answer. The word God prophesied is fulfilled, and it will also be fulfilled in the future, right? I am there. At such times, a tremendous spiritual world takes place.

▣ Introduction

The representative figures there are recorded today.

1. Joseph of Arimathea

It is Joseph of Arimathea. Actually, this man was a well-off person, but he couldn’t show it, and he was a disciple. It is recorded here that he was a disciple, right? This man is now being used exactly in this timetable.

1) Rich man

It says he was probably a rich man. And this man asks for the body in order to send Jesus into the tomb he himself was supposed to go into. A person who has no power at all can’t go and speak, right? When he went and spoke, the judge called Pilate, who was the governor, gave permission.

2) Tomb

So that is how Jesus came to be in the tomb. From long ago, very rich people traditionally make their tombs very nice.

3) Prophecy

Actually, this part is a prophesied event.

2. Nicodemus (Myrrh, Aloes)

Now, at this time, a man named Nicodemus appears. You remember Nicodemus, right? He came to Jesus at night, and when Jesus talked about being born again, he left without answering or asking, but it seems this man also kept following and listening to the message. What did this man bring now? He brought myrrh and aloes. This is very meaningful.

1) King

It is applied to a king — You are the true King.

2) Priest

Of course, it is also applied at death. True Priest.

3) Prophet

Prophets are also anointed with oil. True Prophet.

Anyway, at this time, whether this man knew this (King, Prophet, Priest) or not, the fact that he brought myrrh and aloes and applied them to Jesus’ body now, this itself is very important.

3. Evidence to the Whole World

Now, this scene is the scene that will later be testified to the whole world.

1) John 20:5

Next week we will need to look at what the resurrected Christ said and commanded, but in John chapter 20 verse 5, He completely resurrected in this tomb. But how was it a resurrection? These Jews said, “Ah, the disciples stole the body.” But if you look at chapter 20 verse 5, when a person dies, they wrap him in linen, right? They also bind the head with a cloth like this. The linen that wrapped Him, the linen, remained as it was. It is recorded in chapter 20 verse 5. Only the linen lay there as it was, like this. Only the person was not there. What disciple, when stealing a body, leaves the linen and scoops out only the flesh inside and takes it? There is no such thing, right?

2) John 20:7

A shocking thing began to happen. The cloth also remained as it was. This is something absolutely unimaginable.

3) Soldiers

The soldiers who were guarding were shocked. When they saw it. Because He came out of there. So, like this, if you look at the other Gospels, a light shone out brightly, and these people were shocked and collapsed.

4) Jews

The Jews were all shocked. Later they gave money and said, “Don’t talk,” but even that rumor spread, right?

5) Rome

This fact is testified to all of Rome.

▣ Main

Now, which covenant among God’s Word should we hold on to today? You must receive the answer of enjoying this prayer, of enjoying the covenant.

1. The Promise of the Bible

This evidence is the evidence that the promise of the Bible is fulfilled. No matter what anyone says, it is the evidence that the promise of the Bible is fulfilled.

1) Genesis 3:15

In Genesis chapter 3 verse 15, “The offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent.” But it says this serpent bit the heel of the offspring of the woman, right? That He crushed the head of the serpent means He completely broke the authority. That execution on the cross is nothing more than having the heel bitten. He completely fulfilled Genesis chapter 3 verse 15.

2) Exodus 3:18

In Exodus chapter 3 verse 18, with the one blood covenant, that blood is what Jesus shed. Rather than the blood of slaughtering more than 300,000 lambs a year, Jesus shed all His blood on the cross and resolved it. It is the evidence of that. You Christians living a life of faith, if you are not moved by this, what happens later is that strange things happen. Even though you are saved, my answers are the same as before. Most people are like that. No, the thing is, the spiritual problems of the family line come to me just as they are. “Why is it like this?” Many people. They do not see God’s Word as valuable. You must hold on firmly. You must cut off all the spiritual problems in your family line, in your village, your nation, all of them. It is real. This is not some special stubbornness or rebellion. It is unnecessary.

So, as I realized this gospel, I completely cut off all those unnecessary things of our family, an idol-worshipping family. I also have no wounds about the past. Why, why get hurt over something unnecessary? It is not needed. So you must truly hold on to the covenant.

Why did He prophesy, “I will send the Christ,” and prophesy, “He will resurrect from the cross”? What in the world is this? People who say they are fairly educated in the world cannot understand. Of course they can’t understand. But that is being less educated. All of us humans will resurrect. Right? Jesus resurrected as the firstfruits. All of us humans go to eternity. All religions and scholars are predicting that the earth will disappear. That’s right. The Bible said it beforehand. That He will take us there. So it’s not strange at all. Then why did He teach it beforehand? To give us the fact that He fulfilled this (Exodus 3:18) covenant.

3) Isaiah 7:14

What is the greatest blessing among blessings? It is Immanuel. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call his name Immanuel.” Here, our Remnants nationwide and worldwide listen to the message a lot. What is the most precious blessing for the Remnant? It is Immanuel. What is the greatest blessing you must enjoy now? It is Immanuel.

4) Matthew 16:16-17

When he said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” He clearly promised. “The one who made this known is not flesh and blood. It cannot be known by human ways. Your Father in heaven made it known to you. You are Peter; on this rock I will build My church.” That is your church and our church. From here, I received complete conviction. What does the Greek original say? “On this rock of faith I Myself will build My church.” That’s the meaning. So why do we worry about the church? There’s no need. He said, “I will build My church,” and “The authority of Hades will not overcome it. I give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. I am the Son of God, and God.” That’s what He said. So the Jews rose up. He showed the evidence of that. He clearly promised that He would resurrect. So Paul saw it and said, “He died according to the Scriptures and rose according to the Scriptures.”

2. Absolute Evidence

Here there are three absolute evidences. What are they?

1) Christ (Resurrection)

The evidence that Jesus is the Christ. Not just anyone is the Christ. The evidence that Jesus is the Christ. He must resurrect. So even now, when you pray in that name, the forces of darkness collapse. Right? He showed that evidence. When we say Christ, you know the five certain things, right? The evidence that Jesus is the Christ by resurrecting.

Long ago, at a certain church, a female deaconess’s name, I don’t know why she was named that, but her name was ‘Jang Yesu.’ Well, I would tell her to change it, but at that time I was an associate minister, so I just laughed it off; if she wants to name herself that, what can I do? Ah, well, everyone, if someone says they will be named Jesus, what can you do? But she is not the Christ. Right? But what’s even funnier is that in the last days, here and there, people will start rising up saying, “I am the Christ.” There is only one evidence. This (resurrection) promise must be kept. So there is nothing to say here. Just as we will later ascend and go, Jesus went just like that, and afterward He gave the evidence. What does He keep emphasizing? “Ask anything in My name.” “Cast out demons in My name.” “Pray in My name.” What does it mean? Certain evidence that He resurrected and is working even now. You don’t need to do fun Bible studies or things like that while attending church. Only when you firmly hold on to the covenant Jesus spoke does the work happen.

2) God

So what does it mean? It’s about why we must believe in Jesus. “Jesus is the Christ, and Jesus is God. So He walked on water.” What does it mean? Jesus revealed God. How does He raise up a sick person with one word? He came as the evidence of God. When God does it, it happens like that. Right? Otherwise, this human problem, ‘Why do we live?’, is not resolved.

3) Darkness

The evidence that darkness was completely broken. It didn’t end with this. Why does He do this

3. Absolute Mission

He gave us the absolute mission. Everyone, try praying just this week.

1) Matthew 28:16-20

In Matthew chapter 28 verses 16 to 20, He said, “Go to all nations.” And He said, “Make disciples.” “I hold all authority in heaven and on earth and will always be with you.” This is your blessing.

2) Mark 16:15-18

If someone criticizes you harshly, don’t say anything. Later, everything will be revealed. The Jews completely falsely accused Jesus Christ, but He resurrected. Even now, Mark chapter 16 clearly says, “In My name they will cast out demons.” “When they lay hands on the sick, they will recover.” These are the words Jesus spoke.

3) John 21:15-18

It will come up next Sunday, but He came to Peter. He gives an important mission.

4) Acts 1:1-8

And He calls the disciples to Mt Olive. Here He gives the perfect answer. He also gives the perfect answer on what prayer to pray. He showed the evidence of the Triune God. Right? For 40 days, He gave the kingdom of God, its work, mission. “Is this the time to restore the kingdom?” “It is not for you to know. Entrust it to God.” That’s what He said. “Do not pray other prayers. Wait. Only when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive power.” He made that promise.

Now, when this happens, that empty tomb of Jesus becomes evidence for ages to come. Hold on to this covenant today.

▣ Conclusion

As I said earlier, which covenant should you hold on to for it to be the accurate covenant?

1. The Triune God

The Triune God works invisibly. If it is visible, it’s fake. That is an idol. He works invisibly.

2. 40 Days – The Work of the Kingdom

“He explained the work of the kingdom of God for 40 days.” That’s what it said.

1) Background – Throne

This means your background is the throne.

2) Kingdom

That you received answers means the kingdom of God has come.

3) Work

That fruit has occurred for you means the work of the kingdom of God has been accomplished.

He explained this for 40 days.

3. Past, Today, Future

And what is it? You will be witnesses to the ends of the earth. What is this? He will take full responsibility for the past, today, and the future.

Try doing it just this week. Or, when you truly make a 40-day commitment, don’t pray other things; how to pray in commitment for 40 days is, try praying just as it is (the Introduction table). For just 40 days, try changing everything you hear from people into prayer. Try it. You will see a lot, a lot of things. Watch while praying. Many thoughts will arise in your head now. Then you lose. Within prayer, change it into prayer. Try it just for 40 days. Then, before you tell others, an answer will come to me. It will probably come in a roughly similar way, but how it came to me was that I realized what I was thinking was so vain and made no sense. I did 40 days. And I did it again. How funny it is, my prayer topics disappeared.

No matter how much the church fought and was strange, I tell you, I (continually) prayed asking Him to send me somewhere. It makes no sense, right? If God sends, you go; me asking to be sent somewhere. At that time, something flashed into my head. ‘Do well where you are.’ Isn’t that it? Doing poorly where I am and asking to be sent somewhere. The answer I received then was that I started an evangelism school where I could be with many people in my era. When I was an associate pastor. When I told the senior pastor, he gave permission. Now, that answer has been happening continuously since then. I’m telling you to try it. You don’t need to have some big experience. I’m telling you to just believe (the Introduction table) and try it. I am within the prophesied covenant and the covenant to be fulfilled in the future? There is no greater blessing than that. Right? I hope you comfortably enjoy prayer even now. How comfortable it is. Even now, change your thoughts into prayer like that. Just by doing this, the work of God’s kingdom is accomplished in your field. Then you naturally become a witness. Let us pray.

We thank God. Let us be witnesses of Christ, not witnesses of people. Let us hear the voice of God, not centered on people’s words. Let us be witnesses who are not dragged into the world but go into the world and save them. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Summary

▣ Introduction_ How should we resolve the suffering and pain that has come to me and to others?

1. We cannot resolve the pain and curses that come to us.

1) What I did wrong, I can realize and repent of, but original sin cannot be resolved.

2) John 8:44 He said to the unbelieving Jews, “your father the devil.” Because they are completely caught in Satan’s 12 curses, they cannot get out.

3) This pain, curse, and disaster come riding on the line called fate.

2. God promised in advance the way to resolve this – Christ

▷ Today’s text, where He is executed on the cross at Golgotha (Calvary), is the fulfillment of the promise to send Christ and remove all these disasters, curses, and sin.

3. The people beneath the scene where Jesus suffers on the cross

1) The Jews staked their lives on lying.

2) Pilate staked his life on public opinion.

3) The soldiers staked their lives on casting lots to take one garment.

4) Jesus staked His life on the cross to fulfill God’s perfect will.

4. Jesus who said “It is finished” – the declaration of complete victory that all the forces of darkness have come to an end

▷ What should we do with our suffering, our pain, the hardest part, the thing that is most problematic for me? If you know the gospel of Christ, hold onto this covenant, and come up with the answer, answers keep coming.

1) The three biggest problems

(1) Why are the elders and the church so poor that they cannot do anything?

(2) Why do they suffer from disease to the point that nothing works?

(3) Why are they incompetent, living as servants of unbelievers, and not even able to evangelize?

2) The covenant I held onto firmly – “Christ finished everything. I am a child of God. Why should I stay here?” After firmly holding onto this covenant, the evangelism movement arose, and I received the blessing of the economy and of saving all people.

▷ If you can hold onto this covenant and pray, it is fine wherever you are.

3) You must hold this covenant as first priority. Nothing other than this covenant can be first priority.

▷ Many people do not have it as first priority. That is why they become like the Jews, like Pilate and Rome. Those who hold this covenant as first priority are different. It is fine even if they die. The early church was like that.

▣ Main_ Because it is finished, we must hold onto three covenants

1. When problems come, do not be shaken; just hold the covenant correctly and wait.

1) Holding the covenant correctly means knowing the cause. – Darkness covers the whole world and tries to bring us down to the end.

2) The solution God gave (Christ) – The moment you hold this covenant, darkness collapses. The history of the early church began from this point.

3) People who knew this, enjoyed it, and waited – Joseph (17 years), Moses (40 years in Midian)

4) Jesus’ last words (Acts 1:3-8) – Wait while enjoying the kingdom of God. In not many days you will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

2. You must discover the “only” and believe.

1) The only one who can say “It is finished” is Jesus Christ alone.

2) He fulfilled all of God’s covenant words. – He fulfilled Genesis 3:15, Exodus 3:18, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 16:16. He completely ended the power of Satan, hell, and disaster.

3) Hebrews 9:26 He has appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. He removed personal sin, original sin, and the sin of idolatry.

3. You must discover the “absolute” and take on the challenge.

1) Acts 2:1-47 Those who took part in Mark’s upper room saw the resurrection of the Christ who suffered and began to pray, and they were completely changed, to the point that people thought they were drunk.

2) Acts 11:19 When tribulation came, they established the Antioch church and changed the world.

3) Acts 12:1-25 When Peter was arrested, the saints prayed all night and a miracle happened.

4) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8 They went into the synagogues and conquered Rome in 250 years.

▣ Introduction_ How should we resolve the suffering and pain that has come to me and to others?

How should we resolve suffering, and also pain? And what message should we give to those who are suffering, to people who have great pain?

In our country, before people like Lee Byung-chul, there was one chaebol. At first he just worked at a company that sold ginseng to China. Since our country’s ginseng is good, it seems a lot of it sold in China. Now, to come back to Korea, he sold a lot of ginseng, collected the money, and it was, “I’ll sleep and go tomorrow.” But there are strange parents too, right? In China, they sold their daughter for about several tens of millions of won in our money. That young daughter was so scared, it was the very day she had been sold, and she met this man and told him her story. Hearing that story, this man felt so sorry for her and was moved. He gave the money from selling ginseng to that owner and saved this daughter. He came to Korea and said to the boss, “This happened, so I spent all the money.” Does that make sense? Naturally he got fired. And then problems came. A lot of time passed, and since this girl would have problems again if she went home, she went into a very wealthy household in China as a housemaid. As it turned out, this person was the top chaebol in China. In that house, for a long time, she worked as a maid, like a daughter. But this girl was a really good person. And then the wife of the house became ill. One day she called this maid girl and made a request, it is said. “You are such a good person, can you grant my request? I think I am going to die anyway. So, although you are young, would you marry my husband?” So she married him. So one day she suddenly became the wife of the richest man in China. She told about how she had been saved. She talked about how she came to this house. So this top chaebol of China found this man. So they did business together, you see. And so this man became the first chaebol in Korea. As you all know well, it is a man named Im Sang-ok.

The reason I’m telling this story is that this girl could not possibly resolve it by her own strength. Someone had to save her. Otherwise, I’m saying, she would have had to live her whole life like a prostitute and then die. She couldn’t do anything with hope. She couldn’t pay back that large amount of money herself. This man, who had come to do business, without any reason, just paid it off at once. How could she forget that? Such things happened.

1. We cannot resolve the pain and curses that come to us.

The suffering, the curse, this pain that come to us cannot be resolved.

1) What I did wrong, I can realize and repent of, but original sin cannot be resolved.

What I did wrong, I just need to realize, and the personal sins I committed I can repent of, but this original sin cannot even be resolved.

2) John 8:44 He said to the unbelieving Jews, “your father the devil.” Because they are completely caught in Satan’s 12 curses, they cannot get out.

Jesus looked at the unbelieving Jews and said, “your father the devil,” didn’t He? Because they are completely caught in Satan’s 12 curses, they cannot get out. This is the answer the Bible gives. Everything else is a lie. No matter how powerful the nation, they kill many people and fall; there is no nation that has done well. Even in our country and all over the world, politicians all fight over their own claims, don’t they? There’s no hope in that. There never was. They cannot get out of original sin. This thing called pain is not an object. If it were an object, you could just clear it away like this.

3) This pain, curse, and disaster come riding on the line called fate.

This pain, curse, and disaster, we don’t even know when it will come, but it comes riding on the line called fate. It is frightening. Because it comes riding on this line called fate. If it were an object, I could just get rid of it, right? Sometimes, when I hear things like a plane crashed and people died, I really didn’t know what to answer. I mean, look, the Sampoong Department Store collapsed and many people died there, didn’t they? How in the world does a bridge fall? And people die like this. This thing called the line of fate is frightening.

2. God promised in advance the way to resolve this – Christ

God told in advance the way to resolve this. “I will send Christ and remove all these disasters and curses, sin.” This promise was fulfilled.

3. The people beneath the scene where Jesus suffers on the cross

So today, as for Jesus, how much did He suffer when He suffered? A person named Cicero said this. He said the most cruel and most horrifying execution is crucifixion. Originally this was an execution system that began in Persia, and it passed to Carthage and went to Rome. So why did they come to Pilate? The Jews could go as far as stoning someone to death, but crucifixion had to be done by Rome. Simply put, it’s done according to Roman law. So they accused Him to Pilate. To kill Him. So when they hung someone on the cross, in places like Rome, originally, they say they just left them there to dry up and die. How gruesome! So beasts and birds would come and tear and eat everything. They made them die this way. But applying it only to the nation of Judea, they would allow the body to go into a tomb, that’s how it was. The place of execution is Golgotha. A terrifying scene unfolded. They execute Jesus, who had no fault at all, on the cross, and doesn’t this word Golgotha mean skull? It’s the same word. Golgotha is Hebrew, and if you say Calvary, that’s Latin. It’s the same word. They go there and carry out the crucifixion. When going, four soldiers escort Him, whipping Him, and take Him. Like this. One in front carries the charge, carries it to attach to the cross later, and Jesus follows bearing the cross. They go up like this, beating wildly with a whip that has blades like glass attached. That pain cannot be described in words. What was written on the plaque of the charge was, “He is the King of the Jews.” That was the charge. It says they wrote it in Hebrew, in Greek, and in Latin. That means what was written in Hebrew was for the Jews to know. What was written in Greek means that, since Greece dominated much of the world at that time, Greek people should know. What was written in Latin means Roman people should know. They carry a plaque of the charge with that meaning, you see. So the Jews saw it and protested strongly. “He is not the King of the Jews. Write the charge as ‘self-proclaimed King of the Jews.'” So Pilate the judge answered in a way like, “That, I will think about and decide myself.”

So then, going up the mountain, at the valley of the skull, they carry out the crucifixion. It’s horrible. Everyone, even just stabbing a person is hard, but they kill Him so gruesomely like that, for many people to see. And how miserable was it? Well, it was a poor era, so maybe that’s why. They strip His clothes and divide them. Four soldiers take one garment each. Now it’s their income. But when they strip the clothes, one is left over, you see. If there were four, they could each take one, but there were five. What do you think, everyone? If the four of them tore that one piece, it would be useless, so they said someone should take it, and there they cast lots, throwing something like dice. While Jesus is suffering gruesomely on the cross right now, at that scene, there beneath, they are doing that.

1) The Jews staked their lives on lying.

When you see that, what do you feel? The Jews staked their lives on lying.

2) Pilate staked his life on public opinion.

Pilate staked his life on public opinion.

3) The soldiers staked their lives on casting lots to take one garment.

Those soldiers staked their lives on casting lots to take one garment.

4) Jesus staked His life on the cross to fulfill God’s perfect will.

Jesus staked His life on the cross to fulfill God’s great, perfect will.

4. Jesus who said “It is finished” – the declaration of complete victory that all the forces of darkness have come to an end

But, in that hardship, He would be thirsty, wouldn’t He? When He says, “I am thirsty,” there’s the scene where they give Him sour wine. After drinking it, the words Jesus spoke appear. It says He spoke with a loud voice, doesn’t it? What did He say with a loud voice? “It is finished.” He said. This was not something said in great despair. Right? It is the declaration of complete victory. “It is finished.” He said. It’s a tremendous message. He said that and died. This word “It is finished” is not an ordinary word. All struggles are completely over. All the forces of darkness have come to an end. It’s a tremendous message. It could include many things, but I’m saying it was not something Jesus said after losing all His strength and giving up. Today we must firmly hold this covenant.

What will you do with your suffering? What will we do with our pain? And what will you do with your hardest part? You must come up with the answer. Knowing the gospel of Christ, I came up with the answer for what was most problematic for me. Those answers keep coming.

1) The three biggest problems

I’ve told you before, but for me that was a tremendous, for me that was the problem.

(1) Why are the elders and the church so poor that they cannot do anything?

What is the first? Why are our elders, why must the church be so poor like this? Poverty is not wrong, but if you can’t do anything, that becomes a problem.

(2) Why do they suffer from disease to the point that nothing works?

Why do our parents and many people suffer so from disease like this? Disease is not sin. But if it gives so much pain and you are always sick to the point that nothing works, that is something to think about. I saw that.

(3) Why are they incompetent, living as servants of unbelievers, and not even able to evangelize?

Why are the saints so lacking in ability that they cannot evangelize and can’t do anything? Does that make sense? This is a curse.

2) The covenant I held onto firmly

He said Christ would finish everything. I firmly held the covenant. “Christ finished everything on the cross. I am a child of God. Why should I stay here any longer?” It’s real. I held that covenant. And from then, the evangelism movement began to arise for me. Why? Because I believed this fact. And in fact, while doing the evangelism movement, wherever I went, God gave the blessing of the economy and of saving all people. From then, I studied healing for 40 years. Because my father was a diligent and remarkable man, but he couldn’t do anything and always sat leaning against the wall, and then passed away. Well, that didn’t become a wound for me. But why should one live like that? Why must one be so poor? Why must one, without any ability, run errands for unbelievers, lose, and live as a servant? This is not right. It’s no one’s fault, but this is not right. From then, amazingly, these three answers kept coming to me and became a covenant. So now, I too think I can do the evangelism movement like this, do a definite healing ministry, and really move the manpower and economy that save many people. As long as there are you who know the gospel and pray, we can do world evangelization here without any problem, right? If you can hold onto this covenant and pray, it is fine wherever you are. It’s finished.

3) You must hold this covenant as first priority. Nothing other than this covenant can be first priority.

Jesus, with a loud voice, gave the shout of victory, that it is over. “It is finished.” He said. This is a word that makes the forces of darkness tremble. We must not be deceived. I was not deceived and won. You must not be deceived. I was always deceived. Well, I didn’t say it, but I was always steeped in poverty and couldn’t do anything; always, though I didn’t say it, I thought that way. One day I came to my senses with a jolt. “Wait, am I not a child of God? Lack has nothing to do with me. I must save through the covenant. My parents being poor is not my fault.” Isn’t that so? “The church has no power, doesn’t do the gospel movement, and only fights, but that’s not my fault; I will hold the covenant and pray.” It’s certain, everyone. You must go with that covenant. “Nothing can be first priority for me.” I realized. Everyone, don’t hold onto the world and worry halfway like this. Nothing other than this covenant can be first priority. From then, darkness is broken. Many people don’t have it as first priority, right? That’s why they become like the Jews. That’s why they become like Pilate and Rome. It’s not first priority. You must firmly hold this covenant as first priority. Those who hold this covenant as first priority are different. How were they different? “It is fine even if I die.” This can’t be stopped. In this early church, “It’s fine even if we die.”

▣ Main_ Because it is finished, we must hold onto three covenants

Today, what covenant should we hold? Simply, you must hold three things.

1. When problems come, do not be shaken; just hold the covenant correctly and wait.

What is the first? It is holding the covenant correctly and waiting. You must not just wait. It is holding the covenant correctly and waiting. Why? Because it is finished.

1) Holding the covenant correctly means knowing the cause. – Darkness covers the whole world and tries to bring us down to the end.

What does it mean to hold the covenant correctly? It is knowing the cause. This darkness invisibly covers the whole world and tries to bring you down to the end. Right?

2) The solution God gave (Christ) – The moment you hold this covenant, darkness collapses. The history of the early church began from this point.

God gave the solution. He knew that humans can’t do it. That solution is the tremendous word Christ. Satan trembles here. Evil spirits know, as only spirits can, whether you have conviction or not. Satan knows exactly. He knows whether that person has the power of Christ as first priority or not. Then he is bound to touch them. Why? Because he knows it’s not. No matter how incompetent, no matter how much you’ve failed, no matter how much of a person who has made mistakes, the moment you hold this covenant, darkness collapses. In fact, the history of the early church began from this point. I mean, if Christ was executed on the cross, isn’t that the end? No. I’m saying that wasn’t the end.

3) People who knew this, enjoyed it, and waited – Joseph (17 years), Moses (40 years in Midian)

Joseph, who knew this, waited 17 years while enjoying. Right? He didn’t just wait, but while enjoying. Look at the Bible in detail. Moses went to Midian and for 40 years waited while enjoying the covenant.

4) Jesus’ last words (Acts 1:3-8) – Wait while enjoying the kingdom of God. In not many days you will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus also said at the end, didn’t He? “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for what the Father promised.” While doing what? Wait while enjoying the kingdom of God. Wait. Everyone, when great pain comes, don’t be afraid and wait. Problems come because you hold onto something else. Don’t hold onto it. Hold the covenant firmly and wait. Hold the exact covenant. Then that’s it. So, I wanted to study, and when I was young I wanted to go abroad. I had no power, right? One day I realized. If God doesn’t send me, I don’t go. Right? If God sends me, I go. It doesn’t matter. Because of that, I entered the path of evangelism. Otherwise, I would have gone to study abroad and become a professor or something. I’m not saying professors are bad. So I studied English hard to go abroad and study, and I memorized almost the entire dictionary. There is nothing to be afraid of. Jesus said, “In not many days you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. You will be witnesses to the ends of the earth.” When great pain has come, when problems have come, don’t be shaken, but hold the covenant exactly and wait.

2. You must discover the “only” and believe.

This is the second. You must discover the “only” and believe. Right?

1) The only one who can say “It is finished” is Jesus Christ alone.

The only one who could say on the cross “It is finished” is Jesus Christ alone. Any great person, a person like Buddha, told people to find the way. He didn’t give the answer. Socrates said, “Know yourself.” What’s the use of knowing yourself? It’s miserable. If you know yourself, you’d have to commit suicide. It’s not the answer. “It is finished,” He said.

2) He fulfilled all of God’s covenant words. – He fulfilled Genesis 3:15, Exodus 3:18, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 16:16. He completely ended the power of Satan, hell, and disaster.

What? He has now fulfilled all of God’s covenant words. Didn’t He say the offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent? He fulfilled that. Don’t you know you were liberated on the day the lamb’s blood was applied? I’m saying He fulfilled that. When you were miserably dead, didn’t God promise the blessing of Immanuel? He fulfilled that. Didn’t Peter confess not long before? When he said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” “You are Peter; on this rock I will build My church. The power of Hades will not overcome you. I give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.” That’s what was fulfilled. Right?

Those of you facing hardship, do not be discouraged at all. I’m not saying to be arrogant. I’m not saying to brag. It doesn’t matter. Hold the covenant and wait. What if you starve to death doing so? Then you die. What if you go bankrupt doing so? Then you go bankrupt. You can’t go bankrupt. That’s the promise. I’m speaking of what I experienced. Something tremendous: He ended the power of Satan, the power of hell, and the power of disaster, which no one can resolve. I hope you believe.

3) Hebrews 9:26 He has appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. He removed personal sin, original sin, and the sin of idolatry.

Hebrews 9:21 says this. “Suffering has existed since the creation of the world, but He was born at the end of the ages to remove sin by offering Himself once as a sacrifice.” If you don’t understand these words, you’re lying. Haven’t you committed sin? All of that must be paid for. Christ says He will remove it. It’s not just that. What will you do about original sin that you didn’t even commit, the sin of idolatry that existed from your ancestors? He says He will remove it. On the cross, Christ finished it all. You must firmly hold this covenant.

3. You must discover the “absolute” and take on the challenge.

This is the third. After discovering the “only” and praying, what are you now?

1) Acts 2:1-47 Those who took part in Mark’s upper room saw the resurrection of the Christ who suffered and began to pray, and they were completely changed, to the point that people thought they were drunk.

The disciples of the early church began to change. They discovered the absolute and now took on the challenge. From this time, they gathered in Mark’s upper room. Now an uproar broke out. How convinced were they? Other people saw them and said, “Are those people drunk?” didn’t they? Simply put, the people were transformed. Everyone, I’m saying such a blessing is prepared for you. If you do not take strength, you cannot save those around you. You must remember.

A certain wife wrote, “My husband is having such a very, very hard time like this; what should I do?” I didn’t even see her face. A letter came. How hard must it have been for her to send it like that? I answered simply. “The only person who can pray for that husband is you.” I said. “Either give up or take on the challenge.” This person caught on. She really took on the challenge. So, I heard she’s receiving many answers.

These people who took part in Mark’s upper room, in that suffering, saw that the Christ who finished it all had resurrected and began to pray, and they were completely changed, weren’t they?

2) Acts 11:19 When tribulation came, they established the Antioch church and changed the world.

When tribulation came to them, an even greater work happened. That’s the Antioch church. I mean, if you have conviction, the apostles were all arrested and taken away, and now the church leaders remained, you see. These people should have run away, right? No. They established the Antioch church. This changed the world. I’m saying the same answer is there.

3) Acts 12:1-25 When Peter was arrested, the saints prayed all night and a miracle happened.

Later they even arrested Peter. So these church leaders and saints gathered and prayed all night. God had Peter released, and that very night a great event broke out. He took King Herod away, didn’t He? You must take on the challenge.

4) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8 They went into the synagogues and conquered Rome in 250 years.

This Paul went looking for the synagogues and went in. Why must we open the three-day weekend age here? We must raise future generations. This, in 250 years, overturned Rome. People don’t really know the power of the gospel. I talked about it in the district lesson, but Paul said, “The height, depth, and breadth of this gospel cannot be measured.” This changed the world. Saints today are not at all like that, are they? This is second priority, third priority. When you look at those who say they’re bringing a little revival, it’s making a worldly church, and Satan totally dances. You must pray. If you make a mistake, while we should be saving saints, Satan’s biggest playground can become the church. You must pray. Do not be afraid. I’m saying just firmly hold the covenant. The early church held the covenant. If you keep looking at this Paul in Acts chapters 17, 18, and 19, he dug into the synagogues. Simply put, he made the future generations properly realize the gospel and made them pray properly. He did three things, right? In chapter 17 he went to the synagogue and explained the necessity of Christ, and in chapter 18 he went to the synagogue and explained worship and prayer. And in chapter 19, if you look, he explained the work of the kingdom of God. How great is this? It’s a long time, isn’t it? As 250 years passed, these people grew up and became adults, the church and Rome changed, and the world changed.

▣ Conclusion_ Do not be deceived; make a decision

Today, everyone, truly make a decision. Then that’s it. You don’t need a lot. It’s truly right, so don’t be deceived and firmly decide. I’ve told this before, but I went to a certain conference in Busan, and someone came and greeted me. Busan has the sea stretched out like this, right? There’s a place called Gwangalli. There’s a beach, and I held a conference at a certain church there. A person who looked about 50 came to greet me. I told you before, right? “Pastor, thank you. I was a ship captain. I worked so, so hard, but one day my body hurt so much that I came home. I went to the hospital and had a full diagnosis, and they said it was terminal liver cancer. So the doctor said there was no hope. So, since the doctor said there was no hope, there was nothing else I needed to hear, right?” Truly, this remarkable person, look what he did. For us, it would be, “Save me, what do I do?” Isn’t that so? This wasn’t that. Some people go to the mountains to live, right, to live. This person wasn’t like that. From then he went to find everyone he knew.

“I am now going to heaven. There is something I couldn’t tell you.” Going to find high-ranking people, “There is something I couldn’t tell you.” He shared the gospel with all of them. Repenting, before God. The doctor said at most he wouldn’t make it past 6 months. “Pastor, I am now alive for the third year.” He said. “Have you gone to the hospital?” “I didn’t go. They said there’s no hope for me; why would I go there?” He said.

“Since you’ve been this healthy since then, shouldn’t you check whether you’re healed or not?” I said. His face was the face of a healthy person. I’m not trying to say that this person is healthy, that he’s not dying of cancer. This person’s decision is so moving. This is what’s important. How moving this person’s decision is: he could go, but he says, “Until now I never shared the gospel with so many people.” He’s sharing the gospel with all his relatives, friends, and acquaintances.

Everyone, don’t just live a religious life; you are not people without worth. You must make a decision. Christ did not bear the cross so that we could eat well. Right? He didn’t bear the cross to cure our colds. There’s a tremendous, true story in it. A story that Pilate couldn’t even understand is in it. Those Roman soldiers who were guarding were at the level of casting lots for clothes and dividing them; they couldn’t even understand. That’s why disaster keeps coming on this land. We must block it.

As I said at this church leaders’ conference, our church must not just finish building this sanctuary, but must save all the churches going over to the whole world. Why? Absurdly huge things have happened. Each time, disaster comes. We must block it.

What decision? Today you must first make the decision to enjoy. Right? Even if God does not save us in the fire, it’s fine. What will you say? There are pastors who firmly protected our Korea. Someone like Pastor Ju Gi-cheol said, “Resolved to die once.” “It’s not dying many times; it’s dying once, so then, are you telling me to die miserably worshipping idols? We can’t.” he said. To Pastor Son Yang-won they said, “If you bow just once, we’ll release you,” didn’t they? “I’m fine even if I live in prison forever.” he said. So this kind of decision is the decision by which darkness completely collapses, isn’t it?

2. Today’s decision determines the future

There is something more important. The decision you make today determines the future. Without a doubt.

3. Our prayer influences future generations

It seems like you are suffering, but your prayer influences future generations. Never miss this. Among you sitting here, wouldn’t there be those whose parents prayed a lot? It’s different. That’s why you are sitting here. Then, everyone, your future is different. He said it is finished. I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus to become people who start anew. Let us pray.

God, let today be a day of important decision. Let it be a day of setting the covenant right. Let it be a day of ending all curses and disasters. Let it be a day of a new challenge. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Summary

2000 Years of Disaster, World Evangelization – Whether the future generations will be in disaster for 2,000 years, or in world evangelization, this is the crossroads. Here, Jesus wore the crown of thorns. The charge was self-proclaimed King of the Jews.

▣ Introduction_ Dedication – Where you line up and dedicate yourself is important.

1. Destruction – The Pharisees lined up wrong, and their future generations were struck down and died for 2,000 years.
1) What kind of Christ is a carpenter? Even though it was prophesied in the Bible, they did not see it because they were arrogant.
2) Power – Jealousy – They thought that if things went wrong, He would take away all their power.
3) He doesn’t even keep the Sabbath
4) They thought He just made wine and gave it to people to drink.
5) Sending away the adulterous woman, eating with tax collectors, they asked what He was doing with lepers.

2. World Conquest – They dedicated themselves absurdly, but this conquered the world.
1) The sick, the poor, the incurably ill – As soon as Jesus came, He went to find them and healed them.
▷ Do not go to a church that does not deliver the gospel. Big trouble. Many people have lost their spiritual strength.
2) Crucifixion – Matthew 27:25 The Jews said that if it was wrong, the price of that blood could be laid on their future generations. Luke 23:28 Jesus told them to weep for their children.
▷ It is a dedication that chooses a hundred years, a thousand years; you must hold to the covenant so that it becomes worship.
3) Resurrection (Mission) – Mark’s upper room – Meeting the risen Christ, they ended all doubt. At Mt Olive, He gave a clear mission. They gathered in Mark’s upper room.

▣ Main

1. Crown of Suffering – You must wear the crown that looks like suffering.
1) He was struck with whips.
2) He wore the crown of thorns.
3) Caesar as king – They said Jesus is not our king, Caesar is our king.
Suffering – Suffering received because of the gospel is a great answer and becomes the path of world evangelization.

2. The Uncrowned King – The uncrowned king who needs no crown, the king who overcomes darkness.
1) Acts 1:14-15 (Law) – Even though they were blocked by law, they were not caught by the law and evangelized the world.

Today, this scene is a very important scene.

[ 2000 Years of Disaster, World Evangelization ]

Whether the future generations will be in disaster for 2,000 years, or in world evangelization. This is the crossroads.

「The Crown of Thorns Given from Above」

Here, right now, Jesus is wearing a crown of thorns. You know what this means, right? He was put on trial, and the charge was King of the Jews. Jesus never said He would be king, but the politicians were afraid, because so many people were flocking to Him and works were happening, they got scared. So, to put it simply, if someone committed a crime, there would be a charge, right? The charge was King of the Jews. So then, He was crucified with the charge attached, and when the Jews saw it, they said even that felt bad, so they added one more word, “self-proclaimed King of the Jews.”

You are now offering a dedication service, and what you dedicate is important, but where and how you line up and dedicate yourself is extremely important.

▣ Introduction_ [ Dedication ]

This is something that happens only once, this is everything, so the question is where you do it. Today you must definitely confirm it in two big ways.

[ Destruction ]

They said they were dedicating themselves, and they did well, with faith, but that was destruction. Can that be? There is evidence, isn’t there?

[ World Conquest ]

They started absurdly without any power, but this was world conquest. You must at least have the eyes to see this. At least. Isn’t that right? If I were a businessman with assets and my time to die had come, what would I do? Then what will you take with you? Will you give it to your children? Are your children that lacking in ability? I cannot give it here (destruction). If I were a company and had power, I would give it here (world conquest). The Pharisees did nothing wrong at all. They lined up wrong. You think of it as ordinary. Because they lined up wrong, their future generations were struck down and died for 2,000 years. It’s easy to say, but imagine your children, your grandchildren dying miserably. Just imagine your little child being kidnapped by someone right now and suffering all kinds of pain and torture. Could you sleep? We would try to bring them back even if we had to risk our lives, would we say, “Well, take care then”?

The descendants of the Jews were like this for 2,000 years. But you must not be deceived. Why did these people do that?

[ Destruction ]

1. Carpenter (Bible)

Shouldn’t He be born in a palace? What kind of Christ is a carpenter? They were mistaken. It was prophesied in the Bible, wasn’t it? Everyone, once a person becomes arrogant, they can’t even see the Word. “The son of a carpenter comes, and that carpenter is the Christ?”

2. Power – Jealousy

So He performed powerful works, right? Because He performed powerful works, there would be people who thought, “Ah, His power is tremendous,” but mainly what they thought was, these people were afraid. They were jealous. “Wow, if things go wrong, that guy is going to take away all our power,” they thought like this. Because of that, they chose wrongly. It’s all in the Bible, it was prophesied. They don’t look at the Word of the Bible. Everyone, you must choose well. No matter how good something is. And these people held tremendous positions at the time. Everyone, there are only 70 members of the Sanhedrin council. They move all of Israel and the people scattered across the world. Among them, the Pharisees below them numbered about 6,000 across the whole world. So their eyes were darkened.

3. Sabbath

“That guy, I mean, he doesn’t even keep the Sabbath.” They (the Jews) think they believe well in their own way.

4. Wine

“And what’s more, he just makes wine and serves it to drink. Going to places like that.” People who think they are very excellent couldn’t understand it from their perspective. “No, this kind of power, it’s not a scam either. The carpenter’s son, what is this?”

5. Adulterous Woman, Tax Collectors, Lepers

“The adulterous woman, I mean. She should be stoned to death. He forgave her and sent her back. And I mean, he eats with tax collectors. And I mean, he goes to a leper’s house and eats. What on earth is this man doing with lepers?”

We also easily make this mistake. So the Jews saw this and were completely mistaken. “Oh my, that’s not the Christ, the Messiah should be Messiah-like.” When they looked, it wasn’t like that.

[ World Conquest ]

1. The Sick, the Poor

As soon as Jesus came, He went to find the sick and the poor. He went to find those with incurable diseases that no one could heal. He healed them. Which one is right? When a person lines up wrong, they suffer such great pain. I even say this to my relatives. “Hey, don’t attend a church that doesn’t deliver that gospel.” Big trouble. It looks like they live well, I’m sorry, but big trouble. So among those who attended church for a long time, it’s not because of character or people, there are many future generations who fell into spiritual trial and don’t attend church. Those future generations, you know, it’s not because they have bad heads. I mean, they don’t go to church because they can’t understand that churches or pastors are a bit lacking? It’s not that. Really, those people, smart people, spiritually those people have no reason to go, right? There’s no reason to attend a Pharisee church. So they lost spiritual strength. There are many. Among pastors’ children, elders’ children, excellent children, there are many who lost all their spiritual strength. Even now, you must line up well.

2. Crucifixion

He was crucified, I talked about it earlier. Crucifixion is a miserable highest penalty. This is something that only a Roman judge must allow. They deliberately dragged Jesus to Pilate. Why? To have Him crucified. How spiritually far gone were these people? “If crucifying Jesus to death is wrong, let the price of His blood be on our future generations.” (2,000 years of disaster) Not even knowing how terrifying it was. Ah, isn’t that what liars usually do? “I promise on my life,” they say, but what is your life? Without even knowing well. Liars are naturally like that. People who don’t know are like that. “I promise on everything I have.” That’s how it is. Running their mouths without knowing anything, it turned out like this (2,000 years of disaster). That’s what those people said at that time. How convinced they were: “Kill this carpenter, this man. If that’s wrong, can’t we just put the blood price on our future generations?”

Matthew 27:25

It was said here, wasn’t it? As Jesus carried the cross and went up to Golgotha, among the many people there would be some weeping.

Luke 23:28

At that time Jesus turned around, and even in that situation said, “Do not weep for Me.” He said something meaningful and painful. “Weep for your children.” An amazing thing would happen, wouldn’t it?

The dedication service you are offering is not just a dedication service; you must hold to the covenant so that it becomes worship that chooses 100 years, 1,000 years.

Now, Jesus wore the crown of thorns like this; to put it simply, it’s the content of “You’re the King of the Jews, right? I’ll give you a crown.” So they told the people below, “Guys, he says he’s king, so put a crown on him.” It is recorded that Jesus said nothing at all. He just stood there comfortably, to a frightening degree. So it’s not like they brought the crown of thorns and just placed it on Him. They forced a small-made crown of thorns on Him, so blood came out. They mocked Him in that way.

Even now, the Jews and those who mock the gospel should look a little and think. Do you know spiritual things? Do you know what Satan and darkness are that are now destroying your family? You don’t know. I know that person who curses the church the most. His child also walks around almost like a zombie. I know. Then did he die a few years ago? It came out in the news. He cursed Christianity a lot. I don’t know why he cursed like that. I won’t say the name. Uselessly cursing the church like that, that’s what he did. Without knowing anything. His own child was shriveling up and dying like a zombie; he should have prayed.

3. Resurrection – Mark’s Upper Room

And these people met the risen Christ. From this point they ended all doubt. Here they gathered in Mark’s upper room.

(Mission)

Before gathering in Mark’s upper room, Jesus gave a clear mission at Mt Olive. You must definitely hold to this.

▣ Main

For you who do lay mission, there are three things.

1. Crown of Suffering

Because Jesus wore the crown of thorns, you must wear the crown that looks like the same suffering.

1) Whip

Looking here, they whipped Jesus. This whip has things like blades attached, and they say it’s the kind of whip that, when it strikes, digs into the flesh.

2) Crown of Thorns

What crown is it? It’s a crown of thorns, and they put the crown of thorns firmly (on His head).

And while doing so, they shouted wildly. Looking at verse 4, Pilate said, “I find no fault in Him at all.” Looking at verse 6, “The chief priests and officials shouted, saying,” screaming strange cries, wicked cries, “Crucify Him.” So they shouted so much that this governor, this judge, couldn’t handle it.

3) Caesar as King

So this judge, even while saying, “I am innocent. I cannot take responsibility,” did it that way. Then in the end, all the people say, “Our king is only Caesar.” “Jesus is not our king, Caesar is our king.” That He wore the crown of thorns amid these (whip, crown of thorns, Caesar as king) tells us many things.

〔 Suffering 〕

If you suffer because of the gospel, because of what these people truly don’t know, because of the gospel, that itself is a great answer and becomes the path of world evangelization. You must definitely keep this in mind.

2. The Uncrowned King

You who evangelize, it’s okay even without any reward. You are uncrowned kings who need no crown.

1) Acts 1:14-15 (Law)

This is Acts chapter 1 verses 14 and 15. Even though they blocked it with the law, they didn’t break the law at all, and they evangelized the world legally so as not to be caught by the law at all. This is a very important word. Blocked by the law but not caught by the law. Why is that? That’s why I named it. The secret of the early church’s world evangelization is one thing. The way to save China and the Muslims in the future is also one thing. The house upper room. They couldn’t block it. Every house has an upper room in the home, and the Word movement entered through there. Into the whole world.

You are not like worldly people who expect a reward; you are uncrowned. You don’t need a crown. But you are truly the king who overcomes darkness.

2) Acts 11:19 (Tribulation)

Now a great tribulation arose. There (where the great tribulation arose), rather, they established Antioch Church that evangelizes the world. You must keep this in mind. We go wearing the crown of suffering. We don’t need rewards. We go as uncrowned kings.

At this time, a strange thing happened. Everyone, if you hold to the covenant, it goes beyond imagination. Something beyond imagination happened, and what was it? The persecution became more severe: “Catch those who believe in Jesus and kill them no matter what. Those you can’t kill, catch and imprison.” That’s how it came out. Before, they only prohibited it, but now they made people who go around catching them by law.

Who was the leader there? Paul. Paul, who catches those who believe in Jesus. But it’s strange. Paul is a person who knew the Bible a lot. He is a person who knew the Old Testament a lot. But how serious their education was, Paul couldn’t open his heart. It seems something was bothering his conscience, but he thought, “Still, this (Introduction-Destruction) is right.” But Paul was such a smart person, wasn’t he? He himself was an honest person. You know, there are people who lie well. But this person himself was a person who couldn’t lie.

What is this? Everyone, if you really make up your mind to do the gospel movement, there is a work God does from above. He broke Paul right away. Well, what would you do? Suddenly light shone from heaven, and his name originally called at home was Saul, right? He called, “Saul, Saul.” As you know well, when that happens you’re out of your mind. He asked, “Who are You?” “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” There, Paul was broken at once. And all the Bible words he knew came to mind; he was convinced. “Ah, He is the One who was prophesied. Now the timetable has come.” And so he participated in this town (Acts 11:19). It’s astounding. They told him to catch those who believe in Jesus, and that Paul went and believed in Jesus, completely.

Then an even more ridiculous thing happened. Volunteering, the Jews, these Jews are vicious. Volunteering, what do they do? “We won’t go home until we catch and kill Paul.” That’s how it came out.

3) Acts 13:1

At that time, Paul was sent as a world missionary for the first time since the earth was created. This is the first. Until then, because they didn’t realize, they went after being beaten, and (this time) they truly went. This was the beginning of changing the whole world. Before that, the whole world couldn’t interact or come and go. It started from this time.

3. Ambassador of the Triple Office

This is the third thing you lay people doing mission must pray for. You are the crown of suffering, and also uncrowned kings, but you are ambassadors of the triple office.

1) King

Not just an ambassador. You are a king who overcame Satan on behalf of Jesus.

2) Priest

The disasters of the whole world can’t be stopped. You are the priest who stops that.

3) Prophet

There’s no way. All truths are lies. So you are a prophet who announces the way.

Christ

The word that combines these is Christ. While you offer lay mission worship, you just need to hold on to one thing. Don’t be deceived by people’s words. It’s lining up on God’s side. Try standing there. People who listened to people’s words, misunderstood, and stood on the human side ended up like this (Introduction-Destruction).

Jehovah’s Witnesses talk about it. Isn’t there anyone here who came out of Jehovah’s Witnesses? Jehovah’s Witnesses, before they gather for Bible study, there’s something they do. They criticize you a lot, and they curse you. So they must rescue them (Christians), that’s the theory.

Shincheonji, you know what they do, right? You already know everything, don’t you? They pick out whether you have faults or not, curse a lot, and say they must save them (Christians). That’s one of their basic evangelism doctrines. While giving such a lecture, a woman, judging by her accent she was from Honam, her lecture floated around on YouTube, didn’t it? Probably someone recorded it and spread it; they spread that woman’s actual lecture, and if you look at the content of the lecture, it’s ridiculous. “Killing the Korean church is simple.” That’s what that woman said. “If you go in and keep creating unbelief, it collapses at once.” That’s what the woman said. Go look at the tape (video) going around. “If you just persuade two elders, it’s over. Then slander like that. That way, bring down the church. How do you bring it down? First bring down the evangelist. And when you put in an evangelist, put in someone from our side. Slowly, steadily, diligently.” She gave that lecture and got caught. That lecture spread all over. So I said, “How can a right church, if they are right, how can they do that? If that’s right, that’s really not it.” The problem isn’t that; the point is that we keep missing blessings too much. Don’t miss them.

40 Days

Today I’m going to the ordination ceremony to tell them this; if you pray for just 40 days without speaking human words at all, works will arise. This is Mt Olive.

10 Days

If you truly hold on to the covenant, just 10 days, can a person pray for 10 days, if you pray for just 10 days without listening to people’s voices, works will arise. It’s pitiful. There are people who are spiritually struggling, right? If there is someone who will really help properly for just about 10 days, works will arise. That’s the only thing. People who have depression or are suffering mentally, it doesn’t work as they wish. Who do they get help from? There’s no one who will help properly for ten days.

Acts 2:42

Only then does Sunday worship come alive every Sunday.

Acts 2:46-47

So daily in the temple, daily at home, if you do this, then healing happened. It became healing.

1,000 Bartizans

I’m talking about Busan, Seoul, Ulsan, Changwon. The mission of missions is: make the 1,000 bartizans that don’t exist so that 237, healing, and summit can come. Inside the church. You must do this first. Build platforms where the many multiethnic people who have come to us can come, watchman bartizans, bartizans with antennas. You must not fail to understand this. Doing it at first and then quitting, that’s of no use no matter what. Make it so that even after you leave this land, 237 can come and do healing and summit 24. Leave the footprints of the elders. Right? Make a forum room for the elders. That’s what I want to say. Put each country’s name one by one, make forum rooms, and make it so that country can come and hold forums. What, does meeting briefly bring world evangelization? That’s not it. When you change one person, countless people rise up. You must definitely hold to the covenant.

You must conclude that you can do everything through prayer. Really try it. Jesus remained calm in that pain while being criticized, mocked, and suffering. Today, everyone, I hope you really start once. Try it. You’ll be a little surprised. You are not people who need to watch others’ eyes when you go into the world. If you don’t see answers, you have to watch others’ eyes. Right? When you go into the world, it’s not simple.

I always praise our Remnant when I see what they do. Big, a chaebol company in our country is tremendous, right? He got a job there. That excellent person, that person who has a lot, can’t help but have spiritual problems. Every so often he has seizures, epilepsy. When he has a seizure, the executives who were beside him run away. This friend held him and prayed. This is our Remnant.

When (the chaebol) woke up, he would know, right? So when he asked, he delivered the gospel. That top person, someone everyone in Korea recognizes, has that kind of problem. So he has no choice but to acknowledge this friend. It’s not that he boasted, nor did he do anything special.

He told me briefly. When I went to officiate the wedding, he (the chaebol) was coming. Of course. He’s such a busy person, but from his personal perspective, it’s not like that. Since he’s having a wedding, he said he’d come. What does that mean? You just need to not be deceived even a little. So I said to that friend, “Hey, look. Because you live your faith life so well, this happens.” “No. I’ve been deceived until now, and I’m barely trying to come to my senses,” he said. “Right, you’re trying to come to your senses and (like this) it’s working; how much more will it work when you come to your senses?” That’s what I said. It’s true. Please don’t be deceived, and there’s no need to say anything. Try it. Only Christ. Only the Triune God. Only the power of the throne. Try praying. Then works will arise. All of you participating in our lay mission today, I bless you in the name of the Lord that the glory of God will be revealed for generations of your descendants. Let us pray.

Summary

 

Psalm 103:20-22 What surely happens during the time of worship and prayer – “You His angels who fulfill God’s word, you heavenly hosts and angels in the place where God is present”

 

Triune God – The Triune God is with us, invisible to the eye.

 

Throne – When the blessing of the throne comes, this work (Psalm 103:20-22) is bound to happen.

 

Absolute plan – If you grasp what God’s absolute plan is, answers are bound to come.

 

In today’s passage, when Jesus was arrested, the people who saw Jesus’ miracles, Judas Iscariot, and the 10 disciples all ran away.

 

▣ Introduction_ Experience alone won’t do. Even receiving that much training won’t do. No knowledge will do. Job 3:25 “What I feared has come upon my body.” 1 John 4:18-19 Fear involves punishment. If you worry needlessly, it keeps following you. 1 Peter 5:7-8 Cast your anxieties on the Lord. Your enemy the devil prowls around looking for someone to devour.

 

▣ Main_ Those whose spiritual eyes are opened (1 Corinthians 12:3 No one can confess Christ as Lord except by the Holy Spirit.)

 

1. Even though only one person, Peter, followed Jesus to the end, the world is changed.

1) Matthew 16:16-20 He confessed for the first time that the Lord is the Christ, the Son of the living God. He gave tremendous blessings (rock, my church, Hades X, keys of the kingdom of heaven).

2) Matthew 16:20 Knowing such things would happen, He told them not to tell anyone yet.

3) Matthew 17:1-9 He showed that Moses and Elijah all disappeared and only Christ remained.

4) John 21:15-18 The resurrected Lord did not rebuke him but came to find him and asked, “Do you love me?” “Do you not know that I love you, Lord?” “Feed my lambs.” From the moment you hold the covenant, God absolutely cannot abandon you.

5) Acts 3:6 Peter received grace and used the name of Jesus of Nazareth for the first time.

6) Acts 4:12 For the first time, at the court, he said that no other name has been given by which we must be saved.

7) 1 Peter 2:9 “You are a royal priesthood, called to proclaim this light.”

 

2. Church leader – The movement that arose through one church leader Peter appointed

1) Acts 6:1-7 The Word movement arose throughout all of Jerusalem.

2) Acts 8:4-8 Through one church leader, He opened the door to Samaria.

3) Acts 8:26-40 The door of missions began to open through a church leader.

▷ One church leader in one region is enough. When one person who has God’s absolute plan and whose spiritual eyes are opened rises up, this movement arises.

4) Acts 11:19 Even when great tribulation arose, Antioch Church arose through these people. “You must believe.”

5) Acts 12:1-25 In a great crisis, the church leaders gathered and prayed, and He dispatched the angel of the Lord.

 

3. RT – These people began to raise up RT.

1) Acts 17:1 They went to the synagogue and explained why it has to be only Christ.

Acts 18:4 They explained what worship is.

Acts 19:8 They explained about the kingdom of God.

2) Acts 13, 16, 19 They healed those who, not knowing this, fell into shamanism, demons, and idols and became sick in spirit and body.

3) Romans 16:25-27 He gave what was hidden before the ages.

 

▣ Conclusion_ The three-day weekend age

Thank you. During the time of worship, during the time of prayer, this work surely happens. If you don’t know this, there’s no need to worship and no need to pray. This is the confession of David, who received the most answers to prayer. “You His angels who fulfill God’s will,” he said. “You His angels who fulfill God’s word.” “You heavenly hosts in the place where God is present,” he said.

 

Absolute Plan

 

Then what is today’s 1st service message? It is grasping what God’s absolute plan is. Whether it’s a crisis or not is not what’s important; if you hold onto what God’s absolute plan is, answers are bound to come. 「The Disciple Gripped by Fear」

So experience alone won’t do. They had experienced it. And even Judas betrayed Jesus. All ten disciples ran away. Because things became urgent. At least by this time, someone like Lazarus, who had completely died and come back to life, should have appeared, right? They all ran away. Even after receiving that much training, it doesn’t work. The ones who should actually be afraid are the Jews. Right? In fact, the Jews were afraid too. In case something might happen. In fact, no knowledge works either.

 

Job 3:25

 

Everyone, you must remember the Bible. In Job 3:25 he confessed, didn’t he? “What I feared has come upon me. What I dreaded has come upon my body.” That’s right. With fear, we shouldn’t be needlessly fearless either, but when we’re afraid, things like this happen.

 

1 John 4:18-19

 

In 1 John 4:18, 19, “Fear involves punishment,” something frightening comes. So if you keep looking, what is it? There are people who only keep worrying, right? It keeps following them. 1. Peter

 

Only Peter remained. Everyone ran away and was gone. Some people say, “Well, how could Peter deny Jesus like this?” There are people who say that. Some theologian says, “No. He followed Jesus there to the end and had a heart that loved Jesus. When asked, couldn’t he answer that way on the spur of the moment?” There are scholars who say this. Jesus knows who Peter is. Right? This Peter, this one person, went all the way into the high priest’s courtyard. To see what would happen. So his heart was aching. All the other disciples had gone off somewhere and were gone. Then someone asked at the entrance, right? “Hey, aren’t you the one who followed that Jesus of Nazareth around?” And he said, “Ah, no.” Even in the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, when the police or such ask about something disadvantageous, you have the right to say “No.” Right? So he went all the way inside and warmed himself by the fire. While he was warming himself, someone asked again, right? “Hey, looking at you, you’re definitely the one who went around with him?” So he says, “No.” I didn’t read all of it, but if you look afterward, he cut off Malchus’ ear, right? The relative of Malchus, whose ear was cut off, was there. “Didn’t you cut off Malchus’ ear on that mountain?” he says. “Ah, I don’t know,” he said. That’s what Peter did. Honestly speaking, I would do that too. Why would I tell those people it’s true? Right? There aren’t many scholars who insist on seeing that as ‘He denied Jesus?’ This Peter followed Jesus to the end.

 

1) Matthew 16:16-20

 

In the confession in Matthew 16:16, 20, he confessed for the first time, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Then Jesus gave a tremendous blessing, saying, “You are Peter, on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome you.” “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.”

 

2) Matthew 16:20

 

Knowing such a day would come, He even gave the words, “Do not tell anyone yet.”

 

3) Matthew 17:1-9

 

And then in Matthew 7:1, 9, He took him to the Mount of Transfiguration and showed him that Moses and Elijah all disappeared and Christ remained; this is that Peter. Everyone, even though only one person, Peter, followed, the world is changed. Right? In fact, everyone had run away.

 

4) John 21:15-18

 

Later, the resurrected Lord comes to find this Peter. He did not abandon him to the end and came to find him. He did not rebuke him. “Do you love me?” He asked like that. He asked only that. “Do you love?” Those words differ little by little. So some people, some theologians, say He asked with this meaning and asked with that meaning. But what scholars commonly see is that they used it that way at that time. So in a word, He asked, “Do you love me?” Peter later answered this way. Since He asked three times, he asked, “Don’t you know that I love you, Lord?” With the same words, “Feed my lambs.” This is Peter. So the situation is similar to ours, but the moment you hold the covenant, from then on God absolutely cannot abandon you.

 

5) Acts 3:6

 

Finally Peter receives grace, and for the first time, in Acts 3:6, he uses ‘the name of Jesus of Nazareth.’ For the first time. For the first time he made this (Matthew 16:16-20) confession, and for the first time (Acts 3:6) he uses it. He said, “What I have I give you; in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

2. Church Leader

 

This Peter appointed church leaders. Even with just one of these church leaders, one place surely revives. What? Experience won’t do, training won’t do, knowledge won’t do, then what? Those whose spiritual eyes are opened. This week’s prayer is that. ‘God’s absolute plan and the one whose spiritual eyes are opened.’

 

1 Corinthians 12:3

 

1 Corinthians 12:3 says, “No one can confess Christ as Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” That’s right. Everyone, when you look at the whole world, your spiritual eyes must be opened. This is important. If you discover God’s absolute plan, your spiritual eyes will also open, right? If you look at these confessions of Peter (Main 1), they’re tremendous. They’re all about spiritual eyes being opened. He has no choice but to be used.

 

1) Acts 6:1-7

 

In Acts 6:1, 7, this Peter appointed church leaders. After these church leaders stood, the Word movement arose throughout all of Jerusalem. Why appoint the 70, why appoint many church leaders? Throughout, as our elder prayed, 2,000 bartizans must arise.

 

2) Acts 8:4-8

 

When this church leader was opened, God caused a door to be opened in Samaria, which had been such a historical grief. One person!

 

3) Acts 8:26-40

4) Acts 11:19

Great tribulation arose, but a church that will save the world, Antioch Church, came into being just like that. You must believe. Anything else is wrong. In the end, after struggling to death, you’ll find out later it doesn’t work. You must believe.

 

I earnestly ask the pastors. All that rushing around is in vain later. Why do that vain work? No matter how excellent, it’s useless. If my spiritual eyes are not opened and I’m not in God’s absolute plan, what good is working hard? Pastor Kim or Pastor Lee, who are being dispatched, don’t go and do vain work. It’s all in vain. This (absolute plan, spiritual eyes) must happen. You must remember.

 

Still don’t understand? Such excellent European churches closed their doors, right? They did tremendous things with tremendous music. Pipe organs and amazing things, all closed their doors, right? Now a few remain for museum use, and the rest are just churches, with no people. America, which has the strongest economy in the world, churches are closing their doors now. Still, if you don’t realize it, that won’t do. Pastors must realize. You must not be deceived and say other things to suit the congregation’s ears. You must not do strange things to gather many members. You must deliver the accurate gospel. When they say the church will revive, people even do crazy things, right? You must not. Later it ends miserably. Teaching things that are not the gospel, Pastor Robert Schuller’s church collapsed, right?

 

The one who has God’s absolute plan. Jesus showed it Himself. And it’s Peter who caught on to it. He had no strength, and actually, though he followed all the way to the priest’s courtyard, what strength did he have? He looked because his heart ached. But he got caught. But the resurrected Christ came to find Peter. “Feed my lambs. Do you love me? With that, feed the lambs.”

 

This Peter is important. Just one church leader, and this kind of (Acts 11:19) thing happened.

 

5) Acts 12:1-25

 

A great crisis came, and the church leaders gathered and began to pray. At this time God again sent this (Psalm 103:20-22). He sent the angel of the Lord and took Herod away. In the end, even now, who takes a person’s soul? God calls, but who runs the errand? The angels of the Lord come and do it. Unbelievers call it the grim reaper, don’t they? That’s probably it. So they take them away.

These people began to raise up Remnants. Among them, the one who most had God’s absolute plan and whose spiritual eyes were opened is Paul.

 

1) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8

Who announced Jesus’ coming? The angel of the Lord announced it. There is not one place missing in the Bible. Like this, a tremendous, invisible work is happening now, that’s what I mean. The moment you hold the accurate covenant and open your spiritual eyes, God is bound to work in your work. I hope you believe. He is bound to work in your studies. Without a doubt. You must not believe lies. You must believe God’s Word, not lies.

 

▣ Conclusion_ The Three-Day Weekend Age

 

What covenant must we hold now? The perfect chance has come. The three-day weekend age has come. We must do it here. What must we do here?

 

1. Multi-ethnic, Healing, Summit

 

All the multi-ethnic people of 237 nations must be able to come. They must be able to come and comfortably do 24. Those who need healing and Remnants must be able to come and do 24. It’s a church that doesn’t exist in the world. We must create it.

 

2. Three Courtyards

What’s so good about it that they dress up as demons, and the whole world goes crazy. Our Pastor Sadohara is Japanese, he’s a person with a mission, this man. Look at Japanese culture. It’s the pastors’ responsibility. It’s the responsibility of the theologians who teach pastors. It’s absolute. Our church must do what God wants. ‘Pleasing people’ is also important, but only when we please God is that also joyful.
This week’s covenant: God’s absolute plan and spiritual eyes must be opened, that’s what I mean. He will answer when you just hold the covenant. I’m not saying don’t do things. Even if you only hold the covenant, it comes. That’s why Joseph confessed. “What are you good at?” “It is that the Lord is with me.” He said he wasn’t good at anything. He completely saved the person. “The Lord will make it known.” He gave the answer like that, right? That’s it. We must truly hold the covenant and experience it. If you just hold the covenant like this, it’s okay no matter what hardship you’re in. The passages read in today’s 1st and 2nd services are the worst moments. They’re not.
If any of you are going through difficulties, don’t worry; discover the absolute plan. That’s the answer. And even if it seems no one helps you, that’s not so. You must open your spiritual eyes rightly. I tell you it works with one person. One church leader in a region is enough. Right? One missionary holding the covenant in each nation is enough, and one church leader is enough. Here (Main) is the evidence, the evidence. I tell you everyone ran away and only Peter remained. To the Jews it would have looked miserable. They saw it wrong. Annas, this man, as if insulting Jesus, simply put, interrogated Him. “What on earth do you teach?” he asked like that, right? Jesus answered this way. “Ask the people,” He said. “Haven’t I already said everything?” When He said that, a servant struck Jesus’ mouth, right, for talking back. Annas had a different thought. ‘How dare you whip away those who inspect animals and remove my money source?’ That’s what he meant. It’s really ridiculous, I tell you. How dare they do that looking at Christ God, looking at God incarnate. ‘You block my money source? You want a taste? You’re getting the death penalty.’ That’s how he came out. Going forward too, the Jews are the problem. We must save them. Everyone, truly pray, and our Remnants, pray to save the Jews. That means pray to save the three organizations. Let us pray.
