Matthew 6:32-34

32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Summary

– If you do not know prayer – You are a child of God, so answers do come, but you cannot enjoy any of them and you end up missing nearly all of them. You end up talking a lot and having to think a lot. Then you fall into Genesis chapter 3. Wherever you go, you think prayer only works if you starve yourself.

– Salvation and prayer – From the very beginning, God promised to send Christ. Without Christ, calamity, curse, Satan, and the background of hell cannot be resolved. Christ came and during three years of public ministry resolved everything, taught prayer, and then departed. If you who have received salvation can pray, you can move the world. When you know prayer, you need neither humanism nor your own claims. Because the answers of God and the will of God become clearly visible.

– What must come first (verses 30-33) – Even the grass of the field God clothes, yet you pray with worry like an unbeliever — is that right? “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

▣ Main_ The Right Prayer That Receives Answers
1. Prayer that comes out of darkness
1) Matthew 5:21-26, 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 4:26-27 Do not be angry. Satan follows you around 24 hours a day trying to tempt you. Because Satan knows it cannot defeat you, it keeps trying to shake you.
2) Matthew 5:33-37 Do not swear. It is self-assertion.
3) Matthew 5:38-42 Do not take revenge.
4) Matthew 6:1-4 Do not give to the needy in order to be seen by people.
5) Matthew 6:5 Praying to be seen by people brings no answer.
6) Matthew 6:6 Go into your inner room. Pray before God.

2. Prayer that enjoys the power of the throne — prayer that overcomes the forces of darkness
▷ From the moment you come out of darkness, you begin to enjoy the power of the throne.
1) Enjoying the blessing of the throne
(1) Matthew 6:9 Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name
(2) Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
(3) Matthew 6:13 Pray that the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to the Father.
2) Do not worry (Matthew 6:11) – daily bread
3) What we must do (Matthew 6:14) – We must forgive the wrongs of others in order for our own wrongs to be forgiven.
4) Do not lead us into temptation (Matthew 6:13).
5) Seek His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
(1) The nine blessings of the Triune God and the power of the throne – “His kingdom”
(2) This must come upon the church and the field – “His righteousness”

3. Prayer that makes darkness bow completely (verses 14-15) – Forgive the person who has done wrong.
1) In order to make darkness bow completely.
2) Because I also have wrongs.

▣ Conclusion_ The Model of Prayer
“God, work in me now with the power of the Triune God, the power of the throne, and the power to save this age. Let this blessing come upon me. Let this blessing come upon my work place right now.”

Try breathing in to receive it and breathing out to pass on the blessing (John 20:22, Acts 1:8).

This is a question that many of our new family members and Remnants ask. “Prayer just doesn’t work for me.” Like this. There are many questions of “How should I pray?” There is nothing to worry about. If you look at Luke chapter 11 verse 1, even the disciples could not pray and said, “Teach us to pray.” That is what produced the Lord’s Prayer as the answer. It is not recorded in Matthew, but in Luke it says the disciples told him, “John the Baptist taught prayer to his disciples, so please teach us too.”

Most people are struggling with prayer. If I am going to be truly honest before God, after receiving salvation, I am enjoying the happiness and blessing of prayer. So if prayer is not working, everything fails. Since you are a child of God, answers do come, but you cannot enjoy any of them and end up missing nearly all of them.

First, your words change. If you do not know prayer, you have to talk a lot. Otherwise, life just does not go well. You keep having to do more and more. It is different. If prayer does not work, you have to think a lot. You cannot help it. That thinking is exactly Genesis chapter 3, and you fall right into it. Many things are different. People who know prayer can tell. “Ah, this person does not know how to pray.” You can tell. Things are different in many ways.

There are special times you need to go up a mountain. Right? But other than that, people who go up mountains go because prayer is not working for them. And there are times when we must specifically fast and pray. But thinking that you can only pray if you starve yourself — that is not knowing prayer. Isn’t that right? Things are different in many ways like this.

From the very beginning it was already prophesied in Scripture: “I will send Christ.” Because without that word, nothing can be resolved. Calamity, curse, Satan cannot be resolved. The background of hell cannot be resolved. It is not that monks or such people are wrong — you also need Christ. No matter how much you go up a mountain and cultivate the way, it is useless. Spiritual problems cannot be resolved. That is why God promised, “I will send Christ.” The Gospels are saying “That Christ has come.” From Acts through Revelation explains “What work did this Christ do?”

Now, Christ had to come in a human body in order to save humans, right? So He came in a human body and during three years of public ministry resolved everything and departed. Among those things, He taught prayer and then went. So it is enormously important. You do not need to worry about anything. If you who have received the gospel, who have received salvation, can pray, you can move the world. Why? Because He said you will be witnesses to the ends of the earth.

So then, right prayer can enjoy God’s things and move the world, but there is something that must come first. If you look carefully at the prayer Jesus taught today, at the end there is this word. In verse 30: “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire.” “Even the grass along the road — God raises it — so do you have anything to worry about?” He asked it that way. And then He says —”Isn’t all of that what the Gentiles and the unsaved do?” Jesus said that. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then all these things will be added to you.” The prayer Jesus taught and the reason for it are enormously important.

Honestly, you know it yourselves. Because it is your own life. In the past I genuinely did not know what prayer was. Honestly. I did not know what I was supposed to do. And prayer, well, I was doing it, but I did not know what I was supposed to do. They told me to shout “Lord!” three times, but I did not know what that meant. It felt meaningless. I went to an all-night prayer meeting and they told me to shout “Lord!” three times but I did not do it. I just sat quietly, because I did not know the reason. Now that I know prayer I understand the reason, but back then I did not.

For a while in the early days, when I was an associate pastor, I had to go to church for all-night prayer. So I would go, and spending the whole night in prayer was genuinely exhausting. And then I had to be active the next day — how hard is that? Mainly there were ajummas who would come and pray fervently through the night, so by watching them I joined along with them. If prayer has no answer, that is what happens. It is true.

Once I got answers in prayer, there is no reason to use humanism anymore. Why use humanism? It is a loss. In some ways I do not need my own claims either. I am the one who is wrong, so why assert my own claims? Because God’s answers are visible — why would I disregard them and insist on my own claims? That is impossible. Right? The will of God for our Darakbang and Immanuel Church is clearly visible, so for me to disregard it and insist on my own — that is practically insanity. Isn’t that so? So knowing or not knowing prayer makes an enormous difference.

So then, you need to resolve this today. That is why, even though many pastors preach, do not try to listen to my sermon or a pastor’s sermon — just look squarely at the Word of God and come up with an answer.

Jesus spoke about two big things today. Broadly. What is wrong prayer and what is right prayer — that is what He explained. Jesus did.

Simply put, “What is there even to pray? Is it not that the Father in heaven — His name be hallowed?” That is what Jesus said. “Since the will has already been set in heaven, is it not enough to pray that it be fulfilled on earth? Since our background is the kingdom of heaven, is it not enough to pray for God’s kingdom to come?” That is what He is saying.

If there is something specific to do — what is it? We do not eat ten days’ worth of food in a single day. Right? No matter how big your stomach is, you cannot eat a month’s worth. So “daily bread is enough.” That is what He is saying. “If there is something you must do, forgive others so that you may be forgiven.” And then He says, “Why are you so worried? Does not God feed even the grass of the field?” That is what Jesus says in today’s text. “Is it right for you to pray with all kinds of worries like a Gentile unbeliever? Seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” This is such a grace-filled answer to me. “Yes, that is right.” From the moment I grasped prayer, things began to work out for me somewhat. Before that, not knowing what prayer was — that was my greatest lifelong struggle. So I would go and watch our mother and friends praying, and they would sit behind a chair with a cushion and pray, moving their bodies so much in prayer that by morning they had drifted all the way to the front. But those people are not even attending church now. “What is this?” Really, what is prayer? Also, I have seen many people who say they have received spiritual gifts. Almost all of them are just maintaining their current state, not even able to maintain themselves. Of course you cannot judge from one person.

Really, this — what is prayer? You must come up with the answer now. Why? Because you are the people of God. From the beginning to the end of His public ministry, the thing Jesus emphasized most was this. At the very last He said, “Pray so that the Holy Spirit comes in fullness.” “Wait.” That is what He said. “Pray.” That is what He said. “Then you will receive power, and from that time on you will be witnesses to the ends of the earth.” There is no time.

▣ Introduction_ Wrong Prayer

Today, briefly, before right prayer, we need to know a few examples of wrong prayer. That is what Jesus is pointing out right now.

1. Praying while completely sunk in calamity and calling it right

Israel keeps praying, completely sunk in calamity and calling it right. Setting aside all the complexity, let me say just one thing. Israel has become a vassal of Rome — it has fallen. And in that situation the Pharisees are occupying key positions. And they keep calling that prayer.

2. Praying while still completely sunk in Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11, which know nothing but self

This is the second wrong prayer. This is being completely sunk in Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11 — which know nothing but self — and praying from that place.

Forty years ago when I did not know prayer, church was so strange and hard. You know, people who truly receive answers in prayer and move the world do not act that way. The church was fighting so much. Especially the elders fought like that. Who wants to fight? Because they do not know the gospel well and have no strength of prayer, that is what happens. Who wants to get angry? When you are angry, what can you do? Right? So they fight.

Because of this, since I did not know how to pray, even while leading early morning prayer I did not know how to pray. I would go and kept telling God: “God, please send me somewhere real.” So even if it is wrong prayer, you must pray to receive answers. Because I prayed, God gave me a realization. It was not that that was the problem — “What are you doing right now?” That is what became clear to me. “Ah, yes.” I forcibly pushed myself to start. In the end, we keep talking about Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11. Right? Self. In reality there is no need for that. If you truly receive an answer, there is no need for that.

3. Praying to gain a position

What is the third? The Jews’ prayer is all about positions, like — “I am such-and-such a high priest, you are a Pharisee, and I am such-and-such” — praying for that.

4. Fleshly prayer

What is the fourth? In the end what Jesus is speaking about today is all fleshly prayer. Fleshly prayer must also be done. But if fleshly prayer is all you do and it is your center, that is wrong — that is what He is saying.

5. Praying for what Satan loves — material things (Matthew 4:3), the desire for honor (Matthew 4:5-6), illusions (Matthew 4:8-9)

What is the fifth? Strangely, people keep praying for what Satan loves. How dare Satan say to Jesus: “Make these stones into bread.” He came out like that. We may be praying this without realizing it. And what else did he say? “Since you are truly the Son of God, jump down. Won’t your legs be supported?” The devil said that. What is that? It stimulates the desire for honor. Even now, when our desire for honor rises, we pray fervently. That is wrong prayer. Right? Why is it wrong prayer? Because Satan sees it as laughable. You become a being that Satan does not fear at all.

Christ broke it in one blow. And what else? He showed all the kingdoms of the world — all an illusion — and said, “Bow to me.” If we are not careful, that is the prayer we are offering.

We are moving forward with the enormous age-defining blessing of building a sanctuary. You must understand this clearly. Many large churches in the metropolitan area — they ran Satan’s errands and all collapsed. They rushed in trying to profit, fought, and fell. Laughable. Some people even collected all the offerings and ran away. They are in Seoul. How much they run Satan’s errands — and they call that prayer.

▣ Main_ The Right Prayer That Receives Answers

Today you are going to start truly answered prayer, right now.

1. Prayer that comes out of darkness

What is the first? Prayer that comes out of darkness.

1) Matthew 5:21-26, 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 4:26-27 Do not be angry.

What is it? You have to look from the beginning. Matthew chapter 5 verses 21 to 26: “Do not be angry.” Because Satan is following you around 24 hours a day right now trying to tempt you. You need to know that. Satan’s purpose is for you to be ruined, going around like that. Satan knows it cannot defeat you. So it keeps trying to shake you.

The Scripture says, “Like a roaring lion, going around seeking whom it may devour.” Ephesians chapter 4 verse 27 says that when you are angry, that is when Satan works. It is clearly written in Scripture. You have to come out of darkness — praying “Lord!” while still inside darkness is useless. When your spiritual eyes are opened, even if someone gets angry at church, you understand because that person is speaking out of how hard things are for them, and you end up praying for them instead.

2) Matthew 5:33-37 Do not swear.

Chapter 5 verses 33 to 37: “Do not swear.” And why not? Because it is self-assertion — do not do it.

3) Matthew 5:38-42 Do not take revenge.

Chapter 5 verses 38 to 42: “Do not take revenge.” “It is your own fault, so why take revenge? Do not take revenge.”

4) Matthew 6:1-4 Do not give to the needy in order to be seen by people.

Chapter 6 verses 1 to 4: “Do not give to the needy in order to be seen by people.”

5) Matthew 6:5 Praying to be seen by people brings no answer.

Today chapter 6 verse 5: “Praying to be seen by people brings no answer.” Right? When church leaders pray during Sunday worship, if you truly prepare and pray before God, enormous answers arise from that. Right? If pastors, when preaching, are too focused on performing before people — that is not a sermon. Right? No matter how insufficient I am, no matter how weak you are — that is your situation, but God is set to work upon you through the Holy Spirit. If you have given to the needy or prayed in order to be seen by people, you don’t need an answer anyway, because people saw — that is already the reward.

6) Matthew 6:6 Go into your inner room. Pray before God.

Chapter 6 verse 6: “Go into your inner room.” So do you have to go into an inner room to pray? Do you have to pray where no one can see? That is not what it means. What does it mean? “Pray before God.” Because it is the work of the Holy Spirit, a spiritual world — animals can never do this. Pray before God. In short prayers, works happen. Right? When you stand before God, in a short prayer tremendous works happen. No need to speak ill of others. Place yourself before God. There are so many right things to say about blaming the other person. But when you place yourself before God — right? If you do not place yourself before God, you think, “Is that person crazy? Why are they saying that?” But when you place yourself before God, so many things turn out to be right. Right? That is not the issue though — it is this. The more important thing. The first point. Come out of darkness — that is what it is.

2. Prayer that enjoys the power of the throne — prayer that overcomes the forces of darkness

This is the second. This is the prayer Jesus speaks of today. In one word: enjoy the power of the throne.

1) Enjoying the blessing of the throne

From that moment it begins to be enjoyed. From the moment you come out, because you have that standing, it begins to be enjoyed. The moment Abraham abandons unbelief, the door of the throne already begins to open. What does it say?

(1) Matthew 6:9

“Our Father in heaven.” If it said “Our Father in hell,” we would have to enjoy hell. “Your Father in heaven.” Enjoying the blessing of the throne in heaven. “Your name.” That is different. “Hallowed be Your name.” And it does not end there.

(2) Matthew 6:10

“Your kingdom come” — that is the blessing of the throne. And what else does it say? Same thing. “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

(3) Matthew 6:13

At the very end: “Pray that the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to the Father.” Tremendous. This is the blessing to enjoy.

2) Do not worry (Matthew 6:11) – daily bread

“Since you can only eat daily bread and no more, do not worry.” That is what He is saying.

3) What we must do (Matthew 6:14) – We must forgive the wrongs of others in order for our own wrongs to be forgiven.

If there is something we must do: “Forgive the wrongs of others. That is how you receive forgiveness.” That is what Jesus said.

4) Do not lead us into temptation (Matthew 6:13).

And “Do not worry about temptation.” “Please remove the temptation.” We pray like that, right? That is wrong prayer. “Do not lead us into temptation.” While living on this earth, why would there be no temptation? If you want to go where there is no temptation, if you say you don’t need temptation, if you ask “Why is there so much temptation?” — then you should leave the earth. Other than that, it exists. Never mind. Pray “Do not lead us into temptation.” That is what Jesus said. How important those words are. It is the answer we must receive.

Let me give you an example. Say I have a sore here (pointing to the side/back). It hurts, right? My younger sibling rolls over while sleeping and bumps into it. It hurts, right? Whose fault is it? If you must assign fault — whose fault is it? It is my fault. Because I have a sore, when someone touches me it hurts. When I am in pain, even someone comforting me hurts. Even someone gently patting me hurts.

5) Seek His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

In this tremendous blessing, God is now giving an explanation about the throne — Jesus is speaking about several things in succession.

(1) The nine blessings of the Triune God and the power of the throne – “His kingdom”

And then “Seek His kingdom and His righteousness.” This refers to the nine blessings of the Triune God and the power of the throne that are being spoken of lately. Pray for this.

(2) This must come upon the church and the field – “His righteousness”

Must it not come upon the church and the field? Looking at that, “seek His righteousness” — it cannot help but be answered.

3. Prayer that makes darkness bow completely (verses 14-15) – Forgive the person who has done wrong.

He taught one more thing at the end. This one — He taught how to make darkness bow completely. Look at what that is. It is verses 14 and 15 of chapter 6. After teaching the Lord’s Prayer, He taught the prayer that makes darkness bow completely.

Let me read it. “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” This came out right in the middle of cleanly teaching prayer.

What does this mean? You need to understand the meaning. He’s telling us to forgive bad people? There are two reasons for that.

1) In order to make darkness bow completely.

“Make darkness bow completely.” That is what it means.

2) Because I also have wrongs.

And what else? Because I also have wrongs. You know, if we were properly punished for everything, not one of us would be standing here. Right? How many wrong things have you said? Right? Then all your tongues would have to be cut out — if we went strictly by the law. How many things have you seen that you should not have? All your eyes would have to be pulled out. Right? How many things have you eaten that you should not have? All your teeth would have to be pulled out. How many places have you gone that you should not have? Both your ankles would have to be cut off, then.

God says to us, “Forgive the person who has done wrong.” Do you know what that prayer does? It makes darkness bow completely.

Three prayers. Come out of darkness. Second, enjoy the heavenly throne and overcome the forces of darkness —

that is not the end. Make darkness bow completely. You must be able to enjoy this blessing.

▣ Conclusion_ The Model of Prayer

Our spiritual state throughout our lives — when we are born as children, our spiritual condition is shaped by our mothers and fathers. We cannot help it. And without knowing prayer we graduate from elementary, middle, and high school. Without enjoying this blessing of prayer, we even get married. So to be reconciled with someone who feels like an enemy — you have no idea how hard that is. And then you go out into the world. It is hard. So starting today, even just a little prayer will do.

You need to become a model of prayer. “Lord, truly come upon me with the power of the throne, with the Triune God and the power of the throne. Let this blessing be transmitted to my work.” That is this prayer. “God, truly work in me with the power of the Triune God, the power of the throne, and the power to save this age.” Try it. Even just doing this prayer, healing begins to come to me.

I do not just do it mechanically when it comes upon me — I breathe comfortably and healthily, breathe in to receive, and breathe out to pass on the blessing. Try it. Try it. Take someone who is truly difficult and say, “Lord, Holy Spirit, let this blessing of the throne truly come upon me. Let this blessing be transmitted to that person.” Try it and see what happens. Take a very wicked person and bless them. It does not matter if that person does not repent. It has no effect on them at all. If they come to understand, they receive the answer — no need to worry. As you do this prayer, Jesus said, “Breathe out and receive the Holy Spirit.” At the very last, at Mt. Olive, Jesus said, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth.” Try this as a model.

Teach the children too. These days there are so many things like that for children. Yesterday? The day before? I am not sure if it was yesterday or the day before, but I happened to turn on the TV, and what came on was a child who cannot control his anger. Not being able to control anger — you cannot help it, it does not go the way you want. Sometimes a child feels lonely and hard all on their own. And when angry — the child would not listen to the teacher at school, would hit the father and lunge at the mother and so on. The child confessed later. The anger was uncontrollable.

So there is Dr. Oh Eun-young — she is a pastor’s daughter. She teaches while holding the child: telling them to pray is too much right away, so “Stop a moment and take three long deep breaths.” Right? And then “Count — one, two, three, four.” And then “Take three long deep breaths again.” After doing this once the child started to change. In reality. They showed it on TV. It was not made into a movie — it was actually filmed. Even doing just that brings improvement — but what you doing prayer amounts to is something tremendous. Because you do not know this prayer.

On Sunday, say “Truly let the five powers of the Triune God, the power of the throne, and the power to save this age come upon me. Let this come upon my work place right now.” Because we must give glory to God, if you just say it it starts to feel repetitive. Right? But if you truly enjoy it through deep breathing, it is not repetitive. You come to enjoy a deep and real power. Try it.

If you prayed about something, if you prayed for someone and that person does not change — never mind. The answer is set to come to you. You must properly enjoy this prayer. Then that is the end. Jesus taught it from the very beginning. He taught it at the very last too. He taught it in the middle too. “Stay awake and pray so that you do not fall into temptation.” He taught it in the middle too. And at intervals He taught it again. “When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, God will make you understand everything. When the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, comes upon you, He will keep and guide you. He will even remind you of things you do not know.” That is right. Today, on Sunday, keep this prayer going throughout the worship service. You will become witnesses of this age. Let us pray.

Prayer. We give thanks to God. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth” — since the day of Pentecost has already come, let this promise become our promise. Let us be witnesses who enjoy and transmit the secrets of God’s throne. Let us be witnesses who save the world through spiritual secrets and power, changing what is physical. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Matthew 5:1-12

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them. He said:

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
    for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
    for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Summary

▷ Most people who pray and receive the Word miss something. You need to know what kind of answer is happening right now. The very first thing Jesus did was break Satan. The darkness must be broken first. At that time, the angels of the Lord ministered to him. Then, saying “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” he took the people up to the mountain and gave an important message. That is Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7. The Sermon on the Mount, which can be called a summary of all sermons, was described by many theologians as the king’s declaration. The most important thing here is not the answer but our “spiritual state.”

▣ Introduction: When Jesus began his public ministry, he first broke Satan and then explained blessing.

How do people generally think about blessing?

1) Long life, health, material wealth, honor, descendants – if these things are blessing, then Jesus’ message would be wrong and the Pharisees would be right. The blessing in the Bible means that a person who has received God’s true blessing should have health, money, honor, and descendants.
2) Powerful nations – People of powerful nations think that Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11 are blessing. They are deceived into thinking that even without believing in God, having our own power, a strong economy, and building the tower of Babel is blessing, and they are ruining even their descendants.
3) Idol worship – In Acts chapters 13, 16, and 19, they think that worshiping idols brings great answers.

2. Evidence – it ruins both the person and their descendants.
3. War – it even causes war and ruins nations.

▣ Main

You must know what the wrong blessing is.

1) Vassal state – Right now Israel has become a vassal state of Rome, which has set up powerless tetrarchs, and that tetrarch Herod built the Herod Temple to gain popularity. Becoming king by flattering Rome, building a temple, taking a position, and rising to prominence is not blessing.
2) Religious life – A completely gospel-less religious life is not blessing.
3) Disaster – Because they do not know evangelism and missions, disaster is waiting.
(1) In 70 AD, Israel would be completely destroyed.
(2) Wanderers – Their descendants would become wanderers throughout the entire world.

▷ There are many problems when you go to church. Within these problems, if you find the answers God gives and seize God’s new opportunity for renewal, your spiritual state will change. The Triune God works in me invisibly, and the 9 blessings of the throne come to pass.

2. What is true blessing?

1) Poverty – Blessed are the poor in spirit.
2) Mourning – Those who mourn will receive God’s comfort.
3) Meekness – Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
4) Hungering and thirsting for righteousness – Those who long to receive grace will receive blessing.
5) Mercy – Those who show mercy to others will receive blessing.
6) Purity – Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
7) Peace – Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
8) Those persecuted for righteousness – Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

3. For theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10-12) – When the Eight Beatitudes are summarized into one, the most commonly recurring theme is this: the spiritual vessel to receive true blessing is prepared.

1) God makes me his throne (my 24). – It is to revive me.
2) When we worship and pray in church, the blessing of the throne comes (church 24).
3) The blessing of the throne comes upon work and the field (field 24).

▷ When you receive the answers of this outpouring blessing of the throne, even problems are okay. When you receive the blessing of Acts chapter 2 that comes upon the church, even if every church member is unusual, it is okay. People with spiritual problems gather at church, and we must hold onto them and bring healing. The blessing of the throne came equally upon Joseph, David, Daniel, and Gaius.

▣ Conclusion

Matthew 5:13-16, Matthew 5:17-18

▷ When the light of the life of Christ shines, the darkness flees on its own. The word of the Lord will not disappear by even one jot or tittle, and all of it will be fulfilled. When this blessing and answer is imprinted upon us, history continues to unfold. Christ saves us and continues to pour down the blessing of the Triune God and the 9 blessings of the throne upon us. Enjoying this is prayer and worship.

Darkness, angels – Matthew 4:19 – Sermon on the Mount

Darkness

The very first thing Jesus did was break Satan. This must happen first. The darkness must be broken first.

Angels

“Then the angels of the Lord came and ministered to him.” That’s what it says.

Matthew 4:19

Now, continuing from there, he went up the mountain. While doing this, he said these words: “Follow me.” He said, “Don’t worry, just follow me. I will make you fishers of men.”

Sermon on the Mount

After saying this, he took them up to the mountain. There he gave an important message. That is chapters 5, 6, and 7. It is not a simple sermon; it can be seen as a summary of all sermons. Many theologians have said – what have they said? – they interpreted Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7, this Sermon on the Mount, as the king’s declaration. I see it that way too.

[Spiritual State]

The most important thing for you is what is happening right now, and the most important thing for us is not the answer. It is spiritual state. All answers come from here, and failure comes from here as well. Right now, Jesus is delivering an extraordinary message on an extraordinary timeline. You must remember this. Our level of faith is too low – because we don’t know God’s blessing, we waste time on whether this is right or wrong. The answer doesn’t come from there. It comes from here (spiritual state). If this is your spiritual state, then from here, extraordinary things can happen, and because of this (spiritual state), extraordinary failure can come as well.

“The Beginning of True Blessing”

Now, what did Jesus explain here? He explained what true blessing is, what the beginning of this true blessing is. Well, everyone wants to receive blessing, right? But Jesus explained what the beginning of true blessing is. This becomes a very important message.

▣ Introduction

Today you must remember this right here in the introduction. Jesus went up the mountain, gathered the crowds, and explained. Simply put, he began the sermon that marks the very start of his public ministry. At the start, he broke the power of Satan first. And then he explained about blessing.

1. People

How do people generally think about blessing?

1) Long life, health, material wealth, honor, descendants

“Ah, living a long life is blessing. Living a long time, that’s it.” When someone dies early, people talk as if they didn’t receive blessing. “And very healthily too. That is blessing.” People also say, “Having a lot of money, that’s blessing.” And also, “When honor rises like this, isn’t all of that blessing?” That’s how they talk. And also, “When your descendants do well, isn’t that a blessing? There is no greater blessing than this.” That’s what people mainly say.

Then today Jesus’ message would be wrong, wouldn’t it? The Pharisees would be more right. The Pharisees fall into this category (Introduction 1). But then the Pharisees failed to understand this message. That’s why they were ruined. The Bible does not say that this (Introduction 1) is blessing. A person who receives blessing should live long. Right? A person who has received God’s true blessing should be healthy, have money, have honor, and have descendants. If someone who has not received heaven’s true blessing lives a long time, it’s a headache. It’s better for them to go quickly. Right? A person who has not received God’s blessing, a person who does the work of Satan – they have money? That person is the problem. So when they take honor, that becomes the problem. People of the world think this (Introduction 1) is blessing. It is not. When a person who has received true blessing holds honor, they end up saving many people.

2) Powerful nations (Genesis 3, 6, 11)

The people of these powerful nations think that this (Genesis 3, 6, 11) is blessing. Genesis chapters 3, 6, 11 – “Even without believing in God, with our own power, our economy is strong, we build the tower of Babel – isn’t that blessing?” they think. It sounds right, but it is a delusion. And so these powerful nations ended up ruining even their descendants. The Bible does not lie. You must hold onto the Word of God. Going forward, even the current powerful nations should come to their senses and pray, shouldn’t they? Not a single past powerful nation has prevented disaster from falling upon its descendants. “But aren’t we doing fine even without believing in God?” Genesis chapter 3. “How we have multiplied, how well things are going. Aren’t we building walls and towers with enormous power?” If you hear it for a moment it sounds right. But it ruins descendants, generations for hundreds of years.

3) Idol worship (Acts 13, 16, 19)

And many people think this way: “Doesn’t worshiping idols bring answers?” Look – Acts chapters 13, 16, 19. “What great answers these are!” That’s how they think.

2. Evidence

[Descendants]

So there is evidence. Well, everything is fine. It’s fine for the individuals to be ruined, but even their descendants.

3. [War]

If only the descendants are ruined, that would be enough. They think they have received blessing without God, and if only the descendants are ruined it would be enough – but they cause war and ruin many other nations as well. This is not blessing.

▣ Main

Jesus gave an extraordinary message today. He went up the mountain.

1. Wrong Blessing

He talked about this blessing, and to find the greatest meaning, if you read from verse 5 to verse 18, you need to know what the wrong blessing is. Right? You need to know what the wrong blessing is.

1) Vassal state – tetrarch – Herod Temple

Right now Israel has become a vassal state of Rome.

Tetrarch

Because of this, they are powerless, and Rome appoints what they call tetrarchs. They install kings here and there and apply pressure.

Herod Temple

Even Herod the king, who serves the Roman emperor, built the Herod Temple to gain popularity. This is not blessing, that’s what I’m saying. How is this blessing? It is disaster. Isn’t that right? I mean, by flattering Rome you become king, build a temple, take a position, and rise to prominence? This is not blessing. Jesus was saying the exact opposite right now. He was saying it in such a contrary way that it was startling.

2) Religious life

A completely gospel-less religious life is not blessing. It is wrong.

3) Disaster

Because of this, of course they don’t know evangelism and don’t know missions, and so disaster is waiting.

(1) 70 AD

When Jesus was saying these words, not many years later – in 70 AD – Israel would be completely destroyed.

(2) Wanderers

What is even more laughable is this: all their descendants would become wanderers throughout the entire world. How is this blessing? You need to know well what is not blessing. What is being built right now in our (spiritual state) here is important.

You know what you always talk about when you sit in church, don’t you? When you go to church, you see many problems. “Ah, because of these problems it is too hard to keep going to church.” What would that person’s spiritual state be like? Right? There are many conflicts when you go to church. There should be many. People with problems should come to church. Right? What do you think? Should people with problems not come to church? Should they go to Tenrikyo? Soka Gakkai? Should they go there?

People with problems should come to church. Right? People with conflicts, people in crisis – those people should come. Those people receive forgiveness of sins, receive salvation, and are transformed by the power of God. If your eyes are open to that – as we talked about yesterday, at the new year – always within the problems, find the answers, God’s new renewal, God’s opportunities – when you seize these, this (spiritual) state completely changes.

Simply put, what is it? You must remember this for life.

Triune God → Spiritual State ← Throne

The Triune God invisibly and perfectly begins to work in me. This is what I’m talking about. The 9 blessings of the throne that God has prepared continue to unfold in me. Now the rest is evidence, so the work is bound to take place.

2. True Blessing

Now, Jesus is explaining today what true blessing is. When you look at it, it’s to a degree that you can’t understand.

1) Poverty

“Blessed are the poor in spirit.” The people in (Main 1) would not understand when they hear this, but this is exactly what they need to hear. “You need your spirit to be poor – that is where the blessing is.” He spoke of eight blessings. “Only then is the kingdom of heaven yours.”

2) Mourning

“And blessed are those who mourn.” How is this blessed? You might think that. Mourning is painful. Open your eyes and look carefully. “Those who mourn will receive God’s comfort.” Look carefully at the age. Look at reality. If you look at the world carefully, you’ll understand.

3) Meekness

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” The people in (Introduction), the powerful nations, have never once actually inherited the earth through war. In the end, it is all taken from them.

4) Thirst

Look at the words of Jesus right here, now. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.” Passionately longing to receive grace – that is blessing.

5) Mercy

“Blessed are those who show mercy to others. Only then will you receive mercy.”

6) Heart

“Blessed are the pure in heart. They shall see God.” Jesus said this right now.

7) Peace

“Blessed are the peacemakers. They shall be called sons of God.”

8) Righteousness – Persecution

It came up again. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake. For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

He spoke of exactly 8 blessings. There’s no need to memorize all 8; if you summarize them all into just one thing, what is it? It is a message that people of the world, people who are here only briefly, would not even grasp.

3. Kingdom of Heaven (10-12)

Something common emerged here. What came up? The thing that appeared most is verse 10. “For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Verse 12. “For your reward in heaven is great.” Now what is this?

[Spiritual Vessel]

It means that the spiritual vessels to receive truly true blessing are being prepared. After this, answers begin to come. This is our beginning, everyone. Truly try this, for once. Whether the answer I received was this big or not – that is not the problem. When you pray, if an answer comes is it Christ, and if not is it not? That’s wrong. Even if 7 billion people don’t receive answered prayers, Jesus is still the Christ. They don’t know what the answer is. These two things (spiritual state, spiritual vessel) are the answer. You must please remember this. It is the spiritual state and the vessel.

Let me give an example. If I have the ability to move 100 billion won, even if it disappears, it comes back again. If a person whose vessel is not ready suddenly gets it, problems arise because of it. No matter what difficulty comes, if I have this (spiritual state, spiritual vessel) in order, there is no problem at all. This is the true blessing, the true answer that the Bible speaks, that God speaks, that the gospel speaks. If you have this (spiritual state, spiritual vessel), this answer (Triune God, throne) keeps coming, do you understand? So in the end, what is it?

1) Me as throne (24)

What kind of answer is God fully working in me? He makes me his throne. Isn’t that everything? This is what is important. So seeing that he revives me – my 24. This year’s new year message is extremely important. You must keep thinking about it. What is the true answer?

2) Church throne

When we worship in church, when we pray, that is when the blessing of the throne comes. This is church 24.

3) Field throne (work)

Finally, because this power has been accumulated, when you go out, upon your work, upon your field, the blessing of the throne comes down upon it. Where Joseph is. Three things (me, church, field). Right?

Now, just think about this a little (Triune God → Spiritual State ← Throne 9). Especially those of you who are getting a bit older – you must completely do this. Then you will be far more powerful than young people. Why? Because you have experience.

Now, wherever David was, this blessing took place. Wherever the church leaders of Immanuel are, God sends that blessing there. This is the truth. This is the true answer. Right? You need to know the true answer. Really – wherever the Remnant of Immanuel is, God takes everything along with them. Isn’t that right?

Whether this was received a little or not at all – that is not anything important. People who haven’t received answers – it shows. Who is right or wrong – that is not particularly important either. I may be right, but ask the other person. And what I considered wrong may turn out to be right later. That cannot be known. If you are enjoying this blessing, that is not the point, that’s what I’m saying.

Let me say it again: if you now begin to receive the answers of the outpouring blessing of the throne, even if every person becomes a problem, it’s okay. Right? If you receive the blessing that comes upon your church – the blessing of the throne, the blessing of Acts chapter 2 – if you receive the Antioch answer, then even if every church member is unusual, it’s okay. It doesn’t matter at all, since I am receiving answers.

People who are unusual should come. That’s why they need to come to church – where else would they go? People who have strayed from the complete gospel, people with spiritual problems – they need to come to church, where else should they go? Right? If our church is a right church, it is correct for people with spiritual problems to flood in. Then you hold onto those people and bring healing, that’s what I’m saying. Finally, upon your work, the blessing of the throne comes. Not a single exception. It came equally upon Joseph, upon David, upon Daniel, upon Gaius, didn’t it? You must not miss this.

▣ Conclusion

This is the conclusion. Finally, what comes to pass? Jesus says:

He wrapped it up like this, you know? He wrapped it up like this.

1. Light

“You are the light of the world.” Jesus said so.

2. Salt

“You are the salt of the world.”

You are living in an age with refrigerators now, but when we were young there were no refrigerators. Whatever meat it was, you made it very salty. If you just eat it without salt, you die. In some cases, you could die on the spot immediately. That’s why you put in salt. “You are the salt of the world.”

If physical light never enters a house – do you know what happens? It becomes full of disease. If the electricity in your house goes out, you can’t help but be seized by darkness. Spiritually it is even greater. When this glorious Christ, the light of life, shines, the darkness flees on its own. In verses 17 and 18 he said this: “The word of the Lord will not disappear by even one jot or tittle. All of it will be fulfilled.”

3. Imprinting, rooting, constitution

This blessing, this prayer – what is the answer? It is imprinted upon you. Constitution – the work continues to unfold.

There is only one thing I do. From when I started in Busan 30 years ago to arriving here. Many people always said there were many problems. They always said it wouldn’t work. They always said it was a crisis. They always said that person wouldn’t make it. They always said this thing wouldn’t work.

I spent 30 years doing nothing but stopping that talk. Saying that’s not right. Who was right? Let’s wait and see a bit more. Do you know what will happen?

So don’t worry – this (spiritual state, spiritual vessel) is what is important. Someone suddenly got cancer, they say. It wasn’t sudden. It has been going on for a long time. It is the same spiritually. Spiritual state. All answers come according to this. “Oh, no answer is coming to me at all” – that is not so. All of this (spiritual state, spiritual vessel) is being built. That’s how the answer comes precisely. And in fact it is already coming.

And so Christ gives us salvation and continues to pour down from heaven the blessing of the Triune God – the 9 blessings of the throne – upon us. Enjoying that is prayer and worship. Then this comes out as the answer for this age. This is the beginning of it.

You must absolutely not miss it – Jesus did not speak simply. He included an enormous amount of things. So when you hear it, what happens? When you listen to all of Jesus’ words, what conclusion emerges? It is simple. When you listen to all the Pharisees’ words, it is complicated. And so they killed all their descendants. When you listen to Jesus’ words, it is simple. “Just – this kind of thing has blessing. Being persecuted for righteousness – that’s blessing. Hungering and thirsting for righteousness – that’s blessing. For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The one who, rather than condemning a wrong person as wrong, instead saves them and makes peace – that is the son of God.” What could be more important than that. These (spiritual state, spiritual vessel) kinds of things come to pass. Extraordinary things come to pass.

I am confident that this answer will surely come to pass for you this year. I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
    and they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Summary

▷ It is the beginning of a new year. What should we start with? Verse 1, “At that time” — after Jesus was baptized, He broke the power of Satan without anyone knowing. When He was about to begin His ministry, He went alone to a desolate place and fasted for 40 days. At that time, Satan appeared and tempted Jesus. This temptation was not a test meant to destroy, but a test meant to put Him to the test. Satan knows you well. He knows clearly whether you are someone who has found the complete answer in Christ or not. Jesus completely broke this Satan.

▣ Introduction_ The first thing we must do without making it visible to others in every area when we begin

1. We have been given the identity and authority to break the darkness. This is because Christ has overcome. We must always keep this in mind.

2. What must be known first
1) Matthew 12:29 “How can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man?”
2) Satan, who created the events of Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11 — uses something very good to tempt people, brings them to complete ruin, and attacks the next generation to the very end.

3. The reason there is no need to worry — Christ
1) Genesis 3:15 “The offspring of the woman will strike the serpent’s head.” The main character is Christ.
2) Genesis 6:14 Christ who becomes the ark when a great calamity is encountered.
3) Exodus 3:18 On the day the blood covenant was applied, they came out liberated.
4) Isaiah 7:14 When taken captive to Babylon: “A virgin will conceive and bear a son, and you shall call His name Immanuel.”
5) 1 John 3:8 “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
▷ Satan stood before Christ knowing all this. Jesus made Satan completely bow down and flee.

▣ Main_ How shall we go forward?

1. Take the time of decision in the wilderness. — Satan’s method
▷ Because Christ has overcome, we are guaranteed to be victorious. Prepare to break this power of darkness. As I looked at the field of evangelism and the field of the world, I discovered the reason to pray after coming to know the existence of Satan who has seized the world invisibly. If you know Satan’s method, you will receive great answers. Satan attacks knowing he absolutely cannot defeat you. That is why you must not be deceived. If you hold the covenant, he will without fail crumble.
1) “If you are the Son of God, make these stones into bread and eat.” (verse 3) — “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” (verse 4)
2) “If you are the Son of God, jump down from the pinnacle of the temple. Will God not send angels to hold you up?” (verse 6) — “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”
3) Showing the world and saying, “I will give you all this, so bow down and worship me.” (verses 8-9) — “You shall worship only the Lord your God.” (verse 10)
▷ Satan was completely broken. Do not be deceived by Satan’s methods. You must have your own time of decision alone. There are things people can help with, and things they cannot.

2. Do not let your worship be taken away. Do not lose the flow of the Word. — Satan’s content
▷ If you know what content Satan possesses, you can save yourself, your family line, and the entire era.
1) Satan touches you with food, clothing, shelter, and material things. There is no need to be deceived.
2) Satan touches your sense of honor and pride. Do not be deceived.
3) Satan is trying to take away your worship.
▷ If your worship is taken away, everything is taken away. Because the future is determined by what you worship, Satan tells you to change the object of your worship. Do not let your worship be taken away, and hold on accurately to the Word. If you do not let your worship be taken away, you can save everyone.

3. The moment you hold on to the accurate Word, Satan will completely flee. — The answer of only, uniqueness, re-creation
1) Verse 4 — Jesus quoting Deuteronomy 8:3: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
2) Verse 7 — Jesus quoting the accurate Word of Deuteronomy 6:16: To Satan who told Him (verse 6) to jump down by quoting Psalm 91:11-12: “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”

It is the beginning of a new year for us. What should we start with — that is the question. Today’s text is the timetable for when Jesus begins His ministry. In verse 1 it says “at that time.” That means, after Jesus received baptism to begin His public ministry — “at that time” — that is what it means.

What must we start with at this moment? It is recorded only in the Bible, the Word of God. It is an event that happened without anyone knowing. What is it? It is in no other book on earth. That is why the Bible is the Word of God. He broke the power of Satan without anyone knowing. Jesus, in order to begin now, went alone — alone, with no one else — into the wilderness.

I have heard that the wilderness was about 57 kilometers wide. It is said to be a mixture of sand and limestone. It is recorded as having geological strata twisted and contorted. It was so dangerous that the mountains were in a state as if about to collapse. And the remaining rocks were in a wilderness with sharp, jagged boulders that looked as if they might crumble at any moment. You can find records of it being described as “like the inside of a furnace,” it was so hot. There was no one there. So it was a place with no houses where people lived. There Jesus went to a solitary place when He was about to begin His ministry.

He fasted for 40 days there. You can picture the scene, can’t you? It is like Elijah at Mt. Carmel — he fought alone against 850 prophets. When Jezebel tried to kill him, he fled alone, collapsed under a broom tree, and said, “I can do no more.” It is like that kind of situation.

I visited the castle where Martin Luther translated the Bible. There is a room just barely large enough for one person. He translated the Word there alone, in prayer. Without fail, it was at that time that Satan appeared.

“He tempted Jesus,” it says. The important thing here — our theologians will know — is that when it says “tempted,” what kind of word was used? There is a temptation done in order to destroy, and on the other hand, there is a temptation that intensely tests. In the original text of this Scripture, it was the testing kind of temptation, not the destroying kind. That word is the same word used when God tested Abraham.

This Satan knows full well who Jesus is. He also knows that he actually cannot win. And yet he came to tempt Jesus. It is the temptation that arises when one is about to do something great. Do not worry — this Satan knows full well why Christ came. He knows well what He will do going forward. That is why he set such a monumental temptation.

Satan knows you well. There is no need to worry. He knows clearly whether you are someone who has found the complete answer in Christ or not. Satan knows far too well whether you are truly of the gospel or not.

And yet he appeared directly before Jesus. He set an extremely decisive temptation. Jesus completely broke this Satan. At the cross He completely shattered his authority, but before that, the record already shows that right there Jesus completely defeated Satan.

1. We have been given the identity and authority to break the darkness.

2. What must be known first

1) Matthew 12:29
Jesus said it, didn’t He. “How can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man?” That is what He said. Put simply: “Can you win without binding Satan?” That is what it means. It is an explanation given in Matthew chapter 12. And it is also the answer given when religiously blind people said, “Why do you talk about demons?” Those with blind spiritual eyes say, “Why do you talk about Satan?” This is what must be known first. Jesus broke that.

2) Satan, who created the events of Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11

This Satan never gives up to the very end. The events of Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11 were created by Satan. He uses something very good to tempt people, brings them to complete ruin, and attacks your next generation to the very end.

3. The reason there is no need to worry — Christ

1) Genesis 3:15
“The offspring of the woman will strike the serpent’s head.” The main character is Christ, and it is before that Christ that this Satan stood. Even knowing how great He is. People like you are not even a problem. He appeared before Christ, I tell you.

2) Genesis 6:14
Christ who becomes the ark when a great calamity is encountered. No need to worry. Even when you encounter problems, there is no need to worry. He appeared before that very One, I tell you.

Someone who had been a shaman for a long time sent me a letter. “Spirits keep appearing to me — what should I do?” I understand. They had lived that way their whole life. I gave a simple answer. It does not matter at all. Even if all the spirits were gathered together, it would be fine. It is over.

3) Exodus 3:18
Already, in Exodus chapter 3 verse 18, on the day the blood covenant was applied, they came out liberated. Satan stood directly before that Owner, before that main character.

4) Isaiah 7:14
When taken captive to Babylon: “A virgin will conceive and bear a son, and you shall call His name Immanuel.”

5) 1 John 3:8
In 1 John chapter 3 verse 8: “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” This Satan, knowing all this, stood right there. Jesus makes him completely bow his knees and flee. A new year is beginning for you, and I bless you in the name of the Lord that it will be a beginning in which all darkness is broken.

▣ Main_ How shall we go forward?

1. Take the time of decision in the wilderness. — Satan’s method

This is the first point. How shall we go forward? Take the time of decision in the wilderness. Like Jesus. The length — whether long or short — does not matter. Take the time of decision in the wilderness. Even right here today is fine. You can make a quiet time while resting — that is fine too. Because Christ has overcome, you are guaranteed to be victorious. Some people need to go a bit deeper. Take the time of decision in the wilderness. Jesus would have already known about this power of darkness. He took that important time in exactly that way.

I have been in the faith from a young age. I did not know prayer and did not know the reason I should pray. I did not know even while going out to evangelize. One day, as I was looking at the field of evangelism and the field of the world, I realized: “Ah, this is it.” Completely invisible to the eye, this power of darkness, Satan, has seized the world. The people doing the New Age movement in America — what are they doing? Are they not worshipping Satan? You should take note. What about the Freemasons? They do the Nephilim movement. So that Satan would enter into them. In that advanced nation, America. It is an astonishing thing.

What must we start with? You need to know. Honestly speaking, after I clearly understood the existence of that being, “Ah, this is why we must pray” — that is what I realized honestly. To be frank with you, God does not need you to pray to Him, you know that don’t you? Jesus said in Matthew chapter 6 verse 32: “Your Father already knows what you need before you ask.” Looking to the Lord and receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit is prayer — but there is a reason for it, and that is what this is about right now. I hope today will be a time for you to pray for your children. Take the time of decision in the wilderness. Prepare to break the power of darkness. This is a very important beginning.

If you know Satan’s method, you will receive great answers. Then let me ask one thing first. Do you think Jesus was caught off guard and flustered when Satan came to attack Him? No. Jesus is God. He is the Son of Almighty God, and He is God. Then let me ask one more thing. Do you think Satan came without knowing what Jesus Christ would do? He came knowing. Let me ask one more. Do you think Satan came thinking he could tempt and defeat Jesus?

This is the important thing. He attacks knowing he absolutely cannot defeat you. That is why you must not be deceived. If you hold the covenant, he will without fail crumble, and yet he still touches you. So you only need to hold the covenant.

1) “If you are the Son of God, make these stones into bread and eat.” (verse 3) — “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” (verse 4)

Now, at the time of decision, look at what Satan did. Knowing that Jesus had fasted 40 days, he brought exactly this. He came with a stone shaped like bread and said, “Make it into bread and eat.” That is not a bad thing to say — He was hungry. This is all Satan can do. Perhaps to cause some confusion regarding Jesus — beyond that, he cannot go.

Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God,” and then Satan set the next temptation. Each time he set a temptation, he said: “Are you not the Son of God?” That is how it came. “If you are the Son of God, make these stones into bread and eat.” That is how it came.

2) “If you are the Son of God, jump down from the pinnacle of the temple. Will God not send angels to hold you up?” (verse 6) — “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”

Jesus firmly refused, and then the same way again: “If you are the Son of God, jump down from this pinnacle of the temple. Will God not send angels to hold you up?” Everyone knows this. This is what Satan does. Do not be deceived. “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” That is what Jesus said. “Do not tempt God.”

3) Showing the world and saying, “I will give you all this, so bow down and worship me.” (verses 8-9) — “You shall worship only the Lord your God.” (verse 10)

And then what does he say? Now he came with a compromising approach. Showing the world directly, he said, “I will give you all this.” Doing it together — this is Satan’s method. Offering something enormous and saying, “(I will give you all this) so bow down and worship me.” Jesus firmly said: “You shall worship only the Lord your God.” This Satan was completely broken. This is Satan’s method. Do not be deceived.

As you go into the new year, this is the time of decision in the wilderness. The time of decision alone. There are things people can help with and things they cannot. There are things parents can do and things they cannot. You must have your own time of decision alone.

So for me, since my role is to serve as an errand-runner of the Word for you, I do this 24 hours a day. That is a bit of a blessing, I suppose. That is my position. I carry paper around all day preparing sermons — the volume is so great. Setting aside the homework. Setting aside what happens when I meet people. For the message alone, I carry paper around all week. To give you an idea of how much time — how great the volume is — writing by hand is faster than the computer. Because with a computer you have to carry it, open it, and so on, whereas this you can just do anywhere. And the computer requires sitting down. This you can do while standing. One day I noticed that I had gone into the shade of a tree on a school campus and was sitting there writing like this, and someone came running from the school. “Where did you come from?” “Oh, I’m just writing here…” That was fortunate enough. So I have to do this 24 hours a day. The answers I receive within that are so many. It probably would not happen with my own character. Take the time of decision in the wilderness.

2. Do not let your worship be taken away. Do not lose the flow of the Word. — Satan’s content

This is the second point. Do not let your worship be taken away. Do not lose the flow of the Word.

Do you know what is being said today? If you know what content Satan possesses, you can save yourself, your family line, and the entire era. First: take the time of decision in the wilderness. Without fail. What is the second? It is not only about the decision. Hold on to the important worship and its flow.

1) Satan touches you with food, clothing, shelter, and material things.

The first thing Satan tempted with was eating. Isn’t that right? That is the content. He touches us with food, clothing, and shelter. He touches us with material things. There is no need to be deceived.

2) Satan touches your sense of honor and pride.

Then what is next? He touches your sense of honor and pride. Do not be deceived. When no one recognizes us, don’t we lose our strength, and when someone does recognize us, don’t we gain strength? Satan knows this. If you truly receive the answer, you do not need that. “Are you not the Son of God? Then jump from the pinnacle. Will God not send angels to hold you up?” That is how it came.

3) Satan is trying to take away your worship.

When even that did not work, what came last? “I will give you everything, so worship me.” Satan is trying to take away your worship. If your worship is taken away, everything is taken. If you are not careful, servants of the Lord can have so much church work that their worship can be taken away. Then your future is failure. Many church leaders are important people, aren’t they? When you do a lot of work, if you are not careful, your worship can be taken. This Satan throws something exquisite and says, “Change the object of your worship.” Because your future is determined by what you worship, “Change the object of your worship.” Put simply: “I will give you a thousand trillion — bow down before me.” That is how it came. This is the content of Satan.

If you know the method and content of Satan, there is no need to be shaken. Whatever happens, it is fine. Do not let your worship be taken away, and hold accurately to the Word. Even if you have failed, you will be victorious. If your worship is taken away, even if you have succeeded, you will fail. That is certain. I said to the Remnant who entered the Blue House: “If you receive the answer, even the president can receive the answer.” So if you do not let your worship be taken away, you can save everyone.

3. The moment you hold on to the accurate Word, Satan will completely flee. — The answer of only, uniqueness, re-creation

This is the third point. The moment you hold on to the accurate Word, Satan will completely flee. At this time, the answers of only, uniqueness, and re-creation come.

1) Verse 4 — Jesus quoting Deuteronomy 8:3
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” What can live on bread alone is a beast. Isn’t that right? The one that eats the most and lives best by eating is the pig. Isn’t that so? “Man shall live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” — what is this? In the wilderness, Jesus quoted Deuteronomy chapter 8 verse 3.

2) Verse 7 — Jesus quoting the accurate Word of Deuteronomy 6:16
Now, this Satan knows the Bible. “Jump down. Angels will come and hold your feet.” Satan quoted Psalm 91 verses 11 and 12. Then Jesus said: “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” That is Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 16 from the wilderness. Jesus held the accurate Word and used it to attack — to cite it.

3) Verse 10 — Jesus quoting Deuteronomy 26:10
“Worship me.” Does that even make sense? What nerve Satan has — saying to Jesus, “Worship me.” “You shall worship the Lord your God.” That is Deuteronomy chapter 26 verse 10. Jesus quoted the Word spoken during the Exodus that happened in the wilderness.

Why is that? Because Israel had to be liberated from Rome. Because Israel had to be liberated from Satan. Satan, the ruler of the world, appeared before Jesus. Because Jesus is God, of course He wins. He broke everything with the Word. You must absolutely remember. If you are not deceived, you will be victorious.

Here there is an important record at the end. People of the world say things they cannot believe even more. Even people who believe in Jesus say things they cannot believe — this is the Bible. Which one would be right? What is recorded in the Bible is what cannot be understood with your mind at all. Which one would be right? Everything came about just as the Word said.

What does it say at this point? “The devil departed, and angels came and ministered to him.”

When Israel was facing great problems and a crisis in its restoration, Daniel began to pray for 20 days. Isn’t that right? At that time God did not send an angel but sent the archangel. You must believe this.

4. Acts 12:1-25
The early church was all being persecuted, the apostles were imprisoned, and Peter went to prison, didn’t he? At that time the church leaders gathered for an all-night prayer. The Bible records it. “The angel of the Lord struck him, and King Herod was eaten by worms and died.” God sent His angel of the Lord to release Peter, and He sent the angel of the Lord and King Herod was eaten by worms and died.

With this covenant, try it today, even just for a moment. Begin. Pray truly and sincerely. “God, I stand alone before You. Please let the work of breaking the darkness truly come about for me, my family line, and those around me. Tear down the strategy of Satan that is stealing worship from all the world and from the next generations. Give me the accurate Word.” That is all. It is recorded that Satan bows his knees and God sends His angel of the Lord to serve. Functional summit — What comes to the Remnant from within the spiritual summit is the functional summit.

The word summit means rising to the top, and the Remnant only needs to be able to rise spiritually to the top. No one can stop the Remnant from reaching the top through prayer.

2. Be conscious of breathing. — Your mind will improve tremendously from the very start. Be conscious of prayer as you breathe, and conversely, be conscious of breathing as you pray.

3. Breath prayer and Word meditation — As you worship, take one word that strikes you and meditate on it within prayer throughout the entire week. Do this for three months and your mental illness will be healed.

▷ For the Remnant, graduation is the beginning. In chess, the pawn (卒) can mean an end, but it also means a beginning. The Remnant must become the beginning of saving the world right here. Pastors and elders must join hands together and start the future camp, prayer camp, and talent camp.

Our Christians go out into the world and curse people of the world a lot. That is what the devil does. That is why they get criticized. There are so many people who excessively criticize or speak ill of people of the world. That is seeing things wrongly. Also, when those people of the world do a little well, they envy them too much. That is seeing things wrongly. Also, when they meet someone who is acting very wickedly, not realizing the person is raging in desperation, they become very afraid. That is seeing things wrongly.

The Remnant absolutely must, because no one will teach them when they go out, sort this out first. Without fail, when you go out, you will meet people who appear to be utterly hopeless. That is not because they are hopeless. You are seeing things wrongly. Because they are people who are almost entirely mistaken, they will say all kinds of wrong things. You must not tell them they are wrong. Because you already know what is right. Isn’t that so? David never told King Saul that he was wrong. He showed it through evidence.

Powerful nations are not truly powerful — they are being deceived by Satan and oppressing many people. So you need to go quickly, break the darkness, and tell them the gospel.

(Weak nations)

Almost all of these nations capture weak nations and take them as captives, don’t they. If you fail to realize this, a believing person ends up running errands there. That makes no sense.

2) Genesis 3, 6, 11

Because people are almost entirely being deceived by Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11, there is no need for you to look at that and become afraid or shaken.

3) Nephilim (culture)

These people are shocked by the movements, works, and culture related to the Nephilim. Isn’t it true that the Nephilim will produce tremendous culture? Would it not seem tremendous when a shaman performs a ritual? You must not be astonished by that. It is the same thing. If you just are not deceived, answers are easy. The Remnant must absolutely remember this.

2. 7 nations (plagues)

Because the Remnant have blocked the plagues of seven great nations. It is easy. These people are pitiful — why should they be feared? They are not objects of fear. They are not objects for you to criticize. The very fact that you criticize them shows you do not know the gospel. Why would you criticize them? Of course these people are in this condition (fraudulent answers), aren’t they. Because of that, people say, “Christians are strange.” They hear, “That person believes in Jesus, but they’re really strange.” When you meet people like this (Introduction 1), give them strength; when you meet people like this (Introduction 1), give them the answer by serving — that is how it is done. The Remnant must absolutely remember this.

When I used to do a lot of evangelism at school back in the day, the biggest obstacle was — who do you think it was? — the Christians in the school. Back then I wasn’t in a position to be politically marked, so I went around freely sharing the gospel, but the Christians kept doing strange things and it blocked evangelism. You know those things — those endlessly low-level things — you must not do those.

The Remnant must keep this in mind. Do not fear the world. Do not envy the world. Do not look down on the world. Behind it all is Satan. You must not look down on it. You must always remember this.

3. Satan’s errands (12)

The world is running Satan’s 12 errands, isn’t it. You must have compassion. So people who do not even know the gospel — they criticize and speak ill of others constantly… that is what devils do. Absolutely, wherever you go in the field, do not do that. If someone is being criticized, go to that person and comfort them. If you are definitely going to stir something up, stir things up in secret while helping others. And then the time to share the gospel will come.

▣ Main

Now, because time is short, let me quickly write down the 5 things the Remnant must remember about the Immanuel blessing.

1. The beginning of Immanuel

This is the beginning of Immanuel. How did the beginning of Immanuel come about?

1) Problem

It arose almost entirely at the time of problems. Isn’t that right? It arose at the time of problems. Joseph is the one who found the answer in the midst of a family problem. David is the one who found the answer within social problems. A problem is a beginning, and the entire process is the answer.

2) Past — Answer

This (problem) is the beginning.

3) Result — Witness

And without fail, the result is to become a witness. What kind of witness? You must absolutely remember this.

[WITH]
It is to testify that God was with me.

[Immanuel]
It is to testify that God was with us.

[Oneness]
It is to be a witness that God had the answer to fulfilling His will in all things. Joseph said, “It was not my brothers who sold me — God sent me ahead.”

2. RT’s prayer

This is the second point. Teachers need to know this and the Remnant needs to know this too. This is the Remnant’s prayer. If you know this prayer, it is actually over. Start from now.

1) Triune God (within me)
Pray that the Triune God would come upon me within.

2) Throne (my life)
Pray that the 9 blessings of the throne would appear in my life.

3) Era (my field)
Pray that the answer of the 3 eras of world conquest would appear in my field. This is prayer. Then you will without fail become like this.

[Spiritual summit]
The spiritual summit comes first. What I am talking about right now is not my own words. You must absolutely not miss this. You all genuinely need to receive the answer.

[Functional summit]
What comes out for the Remnant, for your children, from within this spiritual summit is called the functional summit. Then that answer will be put to use.

[Cultural summit]
And so it is called the cultural summit. The word summit means rising to the top. For the Remnant to be able to rise spiritually to the top, age does not matter. No matter how young the Remnant may be, no one anywhere can stop the Remnant from rising to the top through prayer.

3. RT’s standard

This is the third point. The Remnant’s standard.

1) 237
Studies and occupations that align with 237 will be chosen for you.

2) Healing
Healing 237, and

3) Summit
Making the next generation into summits is the standard.

[Non-face-to-face, face-to-face]
So you must remember the third answer. Making the non-face-to-face into face-to-face in order to heal and make summits of 237 nations is absolutely necessary. Now, what you all are studying going forward — it does not matter. If this (non-face-to-face, face-to-face) is not the answer, the Remnant cannot survive right now. God will give it to you.

This non-face-to-face into face-to-face was already created by Bill Gates’s New Age team and Freemason Steve Jobs. So they seized control of the economy. Those people donate tens of trillions and don’t even blink. They keep giving. Because they have so much. But Christians struggle and agonize over building a single sanctuary, while these people just donate tens of trillions without a second thought.

Do you know what it is? They conquered the world through turning non-face-to-face into face-to-face. We are only at the level where COVID comes and we say “let’s go non-face-to-face.” And even then, people talk about COVID as if the government gave it to us, or as if some individual created it for us — where does that kind of thing come from? In every era, within each plague, there has been God’s plan. The Remnant’s standard. If you know the prayer (RT’s prayer), this follows immediately.

4. RT’s important experience

This is the fourth point. The Remnant’s important experience. Adults must do this alongside them. You must listen carefully and put it into practice.

1) Future camp (only)
Call all the Remnant starting from Saturday and hold a future camp. Isn’t that right? The greatest answer in the future camp is to help them discover the “only.”

2) Prayer camp (uniqueness)
Call them here and teach them prayer. The prayer camp is where uniqueness is discovered.

3) Talent camp (re-creation)
And after that, hold the talent camp. Looking at this is called re-creation. Our church needs to do this. Because we must be different. Isn’t that right? So we need to make it so that globally elite people, their parents, unbelievers, bring their children and come to our church. When word spreads, that will happen. Do not teach the children other things. In the future camp, you need to make them discover “what has God given you.” The children must be able to survive wherever they go. Teach them the prayer camp — you need to teach them what this prayer is. And the answer that comes after that is the true talent. That is when the talent camp is held. This is re-creation.

5. RT’s preparation to save the world

This is the fifth and final point. The Remnant’s preparation to save the world. You need to be preparing for this right now before going out into the world. You are completely equipped with expertise to be able to do this.

1) Coming-of-age ceremony (platform)
That is what is called the coming-of-age ceremony. From that, a platform is built. This is the key of the coming-of-age ceremony.

2) Mission ceremony (bartizan)
You need to specialize that talent. It is the mission ceremony. Looking at this and seeing the world is called the bartizan. Regardless of whether the answer comes or not, the preparation to save the world must be in place, mustn’t it. Constantly teaching useless, other things — getting the children confused — and the children end up going in circles and losing their minds.

3) Sending-out ceremony (antenna)
The children are ready to go out into the world. They have been made field-ready. That is the sending-out ceremony. Looking at this, it is called the antenna through which God, myself, and the world communicate. The spiritual antenna!

These five things must be firmly prepared before going out into the world. This is what I am saying — “let us do this in our church.” What is there to be afraid of that keeps us from doing it? There is no need to do other things, things that are of no use. Before the children go out, the most necessary things — wherever they are placed, they must be able to survive — these are the things that must be taught. Of course, since the adults are not there yet, they cannot teach it; adults, when they speak, say a lot of nonsense. So you cannot teach the children.

Everyone, a person who clearly receives the answer is different. Isn’t that right? You know, don’t you? I am telling you they are different. So even though we have many pastors, you can already tell who among them receives the answer. That is how you know. “Ah, that one seems like they might have a hard time.” If you yourself are struggling, you cannot make others comfortable. That makes no sense. Stripping away everything that is most important — covering children with worldly things and sending them out half-dead — that is how it looks to me. When Christians go out, the children are almost like they are disabled.

Now our Remnant is rising and things are changing a little. Almost all Christians go out into the world without any real strength. You really must hear this. Our church needs to do these five things. God will be pleased and bring everything to us. The Bible says so. Five Remnant — God gave everything to the person who raised them like this. God said, “There is no need to even ask. I know everything.” He said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

▣ Conclusion

Let me conclude. If the Remnant has fully tasted this (Main) before going out into the world, that is it — and even knowing it a little, you will overcome when you go out. If you go out into the world not knowing this (Main) at all, you will begin to become confused.

What is the first thing that confuses you? “Wow, now that I’ve gone out into the world, it is tremendous!” — that is how it looks. Isn’t that right? “Wow, there are so many amazing people!” — that is how it feels. “Wow, unbelievers! Hey, I am nothing!” — that is how it starts to feel. The illusion has begun.

On top of that, people who think they are great start criticizing Christianity. And you feel ashamed as you listen. They say nonsense like “Do not confine everything within Christ.” They say famous-sounding things like that. In that way, they are driving you toward Satan.

What you are able to do is to be a witness who has received the answer and has it appear — that is all you can do. It cannot be done any other way. Would Potiphar agree to be guided by Joseph? That makes no sense. But if Joseph receives the answer, Potiphar has to follow. That is what I am saying. A witness!

1. Prayer consciousness

So from now on, the Remnant must be conscious of prayer. What this means is that if you are not conscious of prayer, you will unknowingly start thinking. Isn’t that right? This brings limitations to you, brings problems to you, causes you to make wrong judgments, and causes you to overreact. Always maintain the consciousness of connecting to prayer. The Remnant must understand this.

2. Breath consciousness

You are breathing right now. Isn’t that right? Because if you don’t breathe, you die. But that breathing is at a level that is insufficient enough to cause much cancer in your body. Be conscious of your breathing. Then the Remnant’s mind will improve tremendously from the very start. So be conscious of prayer as you breathe. Conversely, be conscious of breathing as you pray. It is a very difficult thing to say, but it is the answer.

My sermons are widely rumored to be mostly incomprehensible. That will be so. It is fine even if you cannot understand. Only those who understand need to understand. Are there any breathing specialists here? You must take note. The Remnant need to do this (prayer consciousness, breath consciousness) almost 24 hours a day.

3. Breath prayer, Word meditation

Combining the two, this is breath prayer and Word meditation. For Word meditation — listen to the core message carefully, and when you hear the Sunday worship service once like this, one word will strike you. Meditate on that word within prayer throughout the entire week.

What will happen? If you do these three (Conclusion: points 1, 2, 3) for just three months, your mental illness will be healed. If you do not, it will absolutely never be healed. Your brain has already been damaged from shallow breathing. You cannot study well. And if you force yourself to study, you will lose your mind. Isn’t that right? And because you think a lot without praying, your head is about to explode. You do not pray. You think a lot.

Change it. (Prayer consciousness, breath consciousness.) And along with that, Word meditation. Then when you hear a sermon, it will connect right away. And then a surprising answer will come to you. One day the way I was being tormented spiritually is gone. The mind was going in circles — being told you are going in circles when you keep getting hit with a rag — is that not going in circles? But now this is seen correctly, like this.

You must absolutely remember. This is truly something the Remnant need to make their own for a long, long time. This is absolutely not my own words. The most important core things in the Bible. They leave out just the core and do every kind of nonsensical thing. That is what kills.

Jesus said it, didn’t He. “If you are about to drown a child in the water, if you just let them fall in they could come out on their own — why would you tie a stone around their neck and send them down?” He said that. That was said to the Pharisees. If you just push children into the water, they could come out on their own. But they bound them so they couldn’t come out and attached a stone so they would sink and die — that is what He was saying.

For the Remnant, it is not graduation — it is a beginning. In English it is “Commence.” “Start,” “graduation,” “start” — they are the same word. Even in chess, the pawn (卒) can mean an end, but it also becomes a beginning. To the Remnant, right here, we must truly, truly become the beginning of saving the world. Pastors, join hands together with the elders and begin. The future camp, the prayer camp, and this talent camp. Let us pray.

Prayer. God, we give thanks to You, the God who has blessed our Remnant. We truly need Your healing, God. We need Your power, God. Please use the Remnant, God. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

 

The Lineage of the Covenant

Matthew 1:17
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Summary

▣ Introduction
1. The genealogy from Abraham to when Christ came – no matter what happened, the person who held this covenant survived. From Abraham to David, 14 generations; from David to the Babylonian captivity, 14 generations; from returning from Babylon until Christ came, 14 generations.
2. The people who entered into this line of covenant – it is a miracle that you are in this line of covenant.
1) Rahab, who was a prostitute – became the grandmother of King David.
2) Ruth, a foreign woman – met Boaz in Israel and accomplished a great work of God.
3) This secret of salvation brings about a great work even without the person knowing it.
3. You who are going through difficulties, you who are new members, what covenant must you hold on to?
1) Abraham (“Leave Chaldea”) – a witness who removes the curse from the family line. God has called you entirely as a witness to remove the curse from the family line.
2) David (“14 generations to David”) – a witness who blocks the curse on the church. David was the first to complete the temple, a witness who completely blocked the curse on the church.
3) The Remnants of Babylon – witnesses who block the curse on future generations. Even those taken captive to Babylon survived if they held the covenant. He has called you as witnesses to block the curse on future generations.
4) The early church – witnesses who block the curse of the age. He called them entirely as the early church that blocks the curse of the age.

▣ Main_ You must stand in three lines.
1. God has placed me in the line of the originator through whom He shines His light. He has called me as the originator of the gospel.
1) Abraham – Leave Chaldea, which was given to idolatry and headed for ruin. Go to the land I will show you. He spoke of 5 blessings.
(1) Covenantal blessing – “Go to the land I will show you.”
(2) Foundational blessing – “You shall be a source of blessing.”
(3) Representative blessing – “Through you”
(4) Monumental blessing – “All nations will be blessed.”
(5) Irresistible blessing – “Absolutely no one will be able to overcome you.”
2) Jochebed – through Moses, she saved a nation.
3) David – God blocked many wars through David.
2. He has placed you in the line of witnesses who save the family line and completely transform it.
1) When you pray, the Triune God works through the Spirit – you who are saved through Christ, from now on when you pray, the Triune God is set to work through the Spirit invisibly and give you power.
2) When you pray, He works through the 9 blessings of the heavenly throne – He has established that when you hold this covenant and pray, He works through the 9 blessings of the heavenly throne.
3) When you pray, He has prepared answers that will save 3 ages – when you pray, God has prepared answers that will save 3 ages.
3. God has called me as a witness to save future generations and the future (Matthew 1:17).
▷ Matthew 1:17 (14 generations, 14 generations, 14 generations) – it speaks of the whole of Israel.
1) Overcoming Egypt is the gospel – even though it seems like you are going through difficulties, overcoming Egypt is the gospel.
2) Overcoming the Philistines is the gospel – even though it seems like you are going through difficulties, completely overcoming the nation of the Philistines is the gospel.
3) Overcoming Babylon, Assyria, and Rome is the gospel – even though it seems like you are going through difficulties, overcoming Babylon, Assyria, and Rome too is the gospel.
▷ The prayer of one saved person surpasses all imagination. In any work of history, testimony has come forth.
▷ Where am I? I must check. If I am within the unfolding of God’s work, there is nothing more to be thankful for than that. Paul was genuinely thankful because being in prison was an opportunity to testify of this gospel to the Jews and an opportunity to preach the gospel to the Roman emperor.

▣ Conclusion_ Save those who have fallen into darkness and lost their way.
1. Great powers – the great powers are devouring the whole world, completely fallen into darkness. Go there and prove this covenant.
2. People fallen into idolatry – many people are dying, fallen into the path of destruction, into idolatry. He has sent you there to prove the power of God.
3. Who am I?
1) God has called me as the originator of the gospel. No help needed.
2) He has called me as a witness to save my family line.
3) He has called me as a witness to save the world and future generations.
▷ The Bible is a book of testimony. History has testified to it. It has been summarized and explained in Matthew chapter 1. Hold on to the certain testimony.

Transcript

The generation before us could not even marry freely. There was a young woman in Busan who believed in Jesus well. One day her father met a friend and said, “Marry that man’s son.” She had never even seen his face, yet she was told, “Get married.” That was how parents were in those days. So she went to live with her husband’s family, and they were completely a Buddhist household. From that point on, she kept praying. ‘I need to go to church, I need to worship…’ she kept praying. So she finally gathered her courage. She took out the Bible she had been keeping and went to church. You know, it seems spiritual things are fearsome. Her father-in-law was not that kind of person, but simply because she went to church, he struck his daughter-in-law with a stick. Now her husband saw this and was beside himself. “Why did you go to a church you never used to go to?” That is what the husband said. “The truth is I am a daughter of God, and I have merely come to live here. I must go to church.” “But with my father reacting like that, can we afford for our family to be ruined? Can’t you just be the one to not go?” That is what he said. “Because I am a saved daughter of God, I must go.” That is what she said. The husband was so furious that he came home completely drunk, to the point he could barely walk. He put down a knife. “Either you stop going to church, or we both die here, one of the two.” That is what he said. Since he was very drunk, he could do something strange. But she was not afraid at all. “It is not that I should stop going to church – it is that you and all our family need to go to church. Stop suffering so much because of this idolatry and receive salvation.” At that, the husband just stabbed the knife into the floor and stormed out. From that point on, since she had to cook rice, she prayed even as she served the rice. The time of serving rice was the time she prayed for each family member one by one. She has since passed away. I mentioned it before. To give the conclusion first: that father-in-law who used to beat her with a stick became an elder. The husband who used to stop her from going to church also became an elder. That father-in-law, until the day he died, went to Busan’s Yongdusan Park every single day without fail and did evangelism. He even kept a list of those he had evangelized. He told me: “Because of my daughter-in-law, our family has received salvation. I did not know – I became a wicked sinner and persecuted her. Until the day I call upon God, I will preach this gospel.” He has since passed away, and in those days if you went to the park he was there every day.

▣ Introduction

Today, even now across our nation and the world in the field, there are new members. And there are also those among you who are going through difficulties. Today we are talking about an extraordinary secret here. We are going through the entire genealogy from Abraham to when Christ came.

1. The genealogy from Abraham to when Christ came – no matter what happened, the person who held this covenant survived.
From Abraham to David, 14 generations. From David to the Babylonian captivity, 14 generations. From returning from Babylon to when Christ came, 14 generations. What is this? It is speaking of history. To Egypt, to Babylon, to Rome – no matter what happened, the person who held this covenant survived. It is something like a miracle.

2. The people who entered into this line of covenant – it is a miracle that you are in this line of covenant.
You know, the fact that you are in this line of covenant – it is a miracle. You do not know what will happen going forward. Among them, a few particularly remarkable figures appear.
1) Rahab, who was a prostitute – became the grandmother of King David.
She entered into the line of the covenant, and this woman named Rahab was a prostitute. She went to Israel, and from among the sons and descendants of Rahab came King David. She was once a lowly prostitute, but she completely became the grandmother of the king.
2) Ruth, a foreign woman – met Boaz in Israel and accomplished a great work of God.
Another remarkable figure appears. It is Ruth, Ruth. That foreign woman, you see, met Boaz in Israel and came to accomplish a great work of God.
3) This secret of salvation brings about a great work even without the person knowing it.
This secret of salvation brings about a great work to the extent that even the person themselves does not know it.

3. You who are going through difficulties, you who are new members, what covenant must you hold on to?
So here, from Abraham to David, it went like this.
1) Abraham (“Leave Chaldea”) – a witness who removes the curse from the family line.
What was it in Abraham’s time? You who are going through difficulties today, or perhaps you who are new members – what covenant did you hold? God said to Abraham, “Leave Chaldea.” Why has God called you? He has called you entirely as a witness to remove the curse from the family line. You must certainly remember this.
2) David (“14 generations to David”) – a witness who blocks the curse on the church.
“14 generations to David.” That is how it appeared. Do you know who David was? He was the first to complete the temple – a witness who completely blocked the curse on the church.
3) The Remnants of Babylon – witnesses who block the curse on future generations.
Here Babylon appears. What is Babylon? Even though they were taken captive to Babylon, those who held the covenant survived – that is the point. As you know, look at Daniel and his friends. Look at Esther. What does this mean? What you must hold on to now is this: God has called you as a witness to block the curse on future generations through you. Members, you must certainly remember this. And our new members must remember this. And those who are perhaps going through difficulties must remember this.
4) The early church – witnesses who block the curse of the age.
And so God called them entirely as the early church that blocks the curse of the age.

▣ Main_ You must stand in three lines.
Looking at this passage, you need to stand in three lines today.

1. God has placed me in the line of the originator through whom He shines His light. He has called me as the originator of the gospel.
This is the first. I stand in the line of the originator through whom God shines His light.
1) Abraham
God spoke to Abraham. “Leave Chaldea, which was given to idolatry and headed for ruin. Go to the land I will show you.” And then He spoke of 5 blessings.
(1) Covenantal blessing
“Go to the land I will show you.” What is it? The covenantal blessing.
(2) Foundational blessing
“You shall be a source of blessing.” Through you. The foundational blessing.
(3) Representative blessing
“Through you.” The representative blessing.
(4) Monumental blessing
“All nations will be blessed.” The monumental blessing.
(5) Irresistible blessing
“Absolutely no one will be able to overcome you.” The irresistible blessing. Through you. You must believe it. The reason He called you is that He called you as the originator of blessing.

Did I not give this testimony before? In Australia, you see, the Mackenzie family went to Vanuatu and then came to Korea to do missions. In Korea back in those days, they came to Busan. Because women were dying in childbirth, the very first thing they established was ‘Ilsin Women’s Hospital.’ It is still there today. It is called ‘Ilsin Christian Hospital.’ On the hill above it, they built a church. They established a church called ‘Ilsin Church.’ Our family attended there. Is that not remarkable? That we went to a church built by foreigners, on that hillside neighborhood – that is where we went. That is where our mother began to believe in Jesus. And in our family, our maternal uncle began to believe in Jesus. What was the result? We are now going to that country to preach the gospel, you see? That Mackenzie missionary was Australian. Now we are going to Australia to preach the gospel. You must certainly remember this. You are a witness who has received the blessing of the originator. You stand in that line.
2) Jochebed
Jochebed, knowing this, saved a nation through Moses.
3) David
Here now, David appeared, and God blocked many wars through David. You must always remember this. The first reason God called me is that He called me as the originator who saves the gospel family line.

2. He has placed you in the line of witnesses who save the family line and completely transform it.
This is the second. You must certainly remember it. The reason He called you is that He placed you in the important line of witnesses who save the family line. It is not only the blessing of the originator. You stand in the line of witnesses who completely transform the family line. How do you transform it? You must start from now.
1) When you pray, the Triune God works through the Spirit.
You who are saved through Christ – from now on when you pray, the Triune God is set to work through the Spirit invisibly and give you power. That woman prayed while serving rice, and a work happened in her family, did it not?
2) When you pray, He works through the 9 blessings of the heavenly throne.
When you begin to hold this covenant and pray, God has established you as a kind of witness – one through whom the 9 blessings of the heavenly throne work.
3) When you pray, He has prepared answers that will save 3 ages.
Pray from today. When you pray, God has prepared answers that will save 3 ages. God has called me as the originator of faith. Always remember: God has called me as a witness to save the family line.

3. God has called me as a witness to save future generations and the future (Matthew 1:17).
This is the third. God has called me as a witness to save future generations and the future. Here is the evidence. Now, 14 generations, 14 generations, 14 generations – how many years is that? It is speaking of the whole of Israel.
1) Overcoming Egypt is the gospel.
Even though you feel like you are going through difficulties right now, overcoming Egypt is the gospel.
2) Overcoming the Philistines is the gospel.
Even though it seems like you are going through difficulties right now, completely overcoming the nation of the Philistines is the gospel.
3) Overcoming Babylon, Assyria, and Rome is the gospel.
Even though it seems like you are going through difficulties, overcoming Babylon, Assyria, and Rome too is the gospel.

You are a witness to save future generations. We are explaining three things. As we speak of the secret of Christ that runs through this genealogy, those who know it see three things. He called us as the originator; He called us to save the family line; He called us to save future generations and the future. How remarkable a thing is this? If you hold this covenant and pray, answers will come.

So then my maternal uncle came to believe in Jesus – he believed from when he was a student. My maternal uncle is still alive. He is a person who is far more handsome and much more educated than I am, doing a great gospel movement. He is someone who evangelizes the entire world.

Through his first and second year of high school, he used to hide his Bible and go to church. Because of all the opposition. One day a strong impression came to his heart. ‘Can I keep hiding it instead of evangelizing my mother?’ He finished the worship service and took his Bible and went straight to the house. His grandmother was a fearsome grandmother, somewhat like a shaman – when she saw it she said, “What is that?” He opened the Bible – the cover was red. “What is that?” “What, can’t you tell by looking? It’s a Bible.” “Are you going to church?” “I am.” “Since when did you go?” “I’ve already been going. Did you only find out now?” He was afraid. The grandmother immediately grabbed him by the collar and dragged him, saying, “Let’s go to the pastor.” “How dare you lure away someone else’s son…” She was dragging him to the church. That grandmother was extremely strong. She could fight a man and win. At that point, our uncle said: “I can do anything for my mother. There is one thing I cannot do.” “What is it?” “I am a child of God – I cannot abandon this and tell my mother that I love her without believing in God. That is not something I can do. It is not I who must stop – it is my mother who must stop. My mother must come to church. This one thing I cannot do. I am a saved child of God.” The grandmother was beside herself. She could not get through to him by words, you see? From that point on, earnest prayer began. So he thought, ‘I need to leave home for a while.’ He found what he thought was the best solution and entered the Air Force Academy. If he went there he could leave home, you see? There he prayed intensely.

He prayed while training at the Academy. He prayed even after becoming a soldier. ‘Yes, I need to become a pastor.’ When he tried to go to seminary, it turned out that no one from the Academy had ever gone to seminary. Our uncle was the first. He became a pastor. So he preached the gospel intensely in the military and everywhere he went, and his rank rose, and so on.

One day when he was attending to the President, a brief time was set aside for a message. This was during the time of President Park Chung-hee. They told him, “Don’t talk about Jesus, don’t talk about Christ – speak only about the nation. Just say things to bless the country.” “Understood.” Our uncle went out and immediately began talking about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ who delivered our nation. Christ through whom our nation must evangelize the world. Christ who saves and blesses our nation. He kept talking only about Christ, it is said.

When it was all over, as he came out he shook hands, you see? The President shook his hand and said, “Ha, today I heard such precious words.” At that moment when they shook hands, he was about to say, ‘Mr. President, if you do not believe in Jesus you will go to hell,’ but he stopped himself. Through all of this, our grandmother completely received the gospel and was transformed.

▷ The prayer of one saved person surpasses all imagination.
The prayer of one person among you – a saved person – surpasses all imagination. In any work of history, testimony has come forth.

▷ Where am I? I must check.
Where am I? I must check. If I am within the unfolding of God’s work, there is nothing more to be thankful for than that. Do you know why Paul was thankful? It was not that he was thankful to be in prison – being in prison was an opportunity to testify of this gospel to the Jews, an opportunity to preach the gospel to the Roman emperor. That is why he went to prison. He was thankful, genuinely. His thankfulness was not mere thankfulness. If you are within God’s amazing work, that is true thankfulness.

▣ Conclusion_ Save those who have fallen into darkness and lost their way.
Now, let me draw this to a close. This is something you must always know.

The more you look, the more enormous America is – but right now it is completely fallen into calamity because of three groups. Our Remnants – when you go to America or Europe, absolutely do not be deceived by friends who do drugs. They are completely fallen into drugs. Do not be deceived. For our Remnants, I want you to know that the methods of giving drugs are various. They even make them into snacks. You will be deceived. It will be a disaster. They are completely fallen into darkness and have lost their way. He has sent you there to prove the power of God. You must firmly hold this covenant.

3. Who am I?
Today, who are you? Always remember this.
1) The originator of the gospel.
God has called me as the originator of the gospel. No help needed. He has called you as the originator. You must remember this.
2) A witness who saves the family line.
He has called you as a witness to save the family line.
3) A witness who saves the world and future generations.
He has called you as a witness to save the world and future generations.

▷ The Bible is a book of testimony. History has testified to it. It has been summarized and explained in Matthew chapter 1. Hold on to the certain testimony.

Pastor Kim Dae-yong, whom we have been doing evangelism together with for a long time – his family is now going far out to the Ganghwa area to start there. They must go with the same mindset and do it. In that area, around Yeongjongdo, there are almost no churches preaching the gospel. Always remember – no other help is needed. I am the originator through whom God works. Going there to be a witness who transforms the family lines of the disciples living there and transforms future generations – this is the book of testimony. History has testified to it. That is what has been summarized and explained right here in chapter 1. There is nothing more than this. Hold firmly to the certain testimony. I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus that today will be a day of blessing in which believers across the nation and the world receive strength. Let us pray.

Prayer. Lord, please let us know the secret of the gospel. Without the gospel, the whole world has fallen into calamity. Even churches are not preaching the gospel and are teaching the things of the world. Please let us become witnesses who save those who are dying in darkness through the gospel alone. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
