Believers Called To Prophesy

2025.08.31 Sunday 1st Service
Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 37:1-10

▣ Introduction_ The reason for and answer to suffering (captivity)

There was a very large, wealthy household that had built a fine house. I went to visit, and on the way from the first floor to the second, there was a painting hanging there. I wondered what it was and saw a large ship in a storm, holding out so as not to capsize. Why would they hang that picture? It could mean, “This is so hard.” Or it could mean, “Even in such trials, we will overcome.” It is true that there is great difficulty. Before he died, Napoleon said on an island, “That water out there—the ocean—is the tears shed by humanity.” He also said, “That wind blowing from behind the mountains is the sound of the sighs of humanity.” He meant, “It is painful.” We, in every era, in every nation, and every person, are in such suffering. Therefore, there is no need to be flustered. Nor should we be afraid. Nor should we be careless. We must not fear the world, but we are not afraid. In such a world, you never know where a problem will arise. You never know in which nation a war will break out. You never know what disease may spread and take lives. Israel, who should have been blessed, became captives again. God’s Word clearly gives an important answer here. It explains why this happened.

1. Isaiah
Isaiah explains it this way.

1) Reason
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” What does that mean? It means mankind left God. The beginning of humanity’s greatest curse is not knowing God. We are not beasts; we ought to know God, but we left Him. In other words, life became unrelated to God.

2) Answer
Therefore, He promised to send the Christ, the One who solves all problems, and to give the blessing of Immanuel. This is recorded in Isaiah 7:14.

2. Jeremiah
Jeremiah says this—also about the Babylonian captivity. Why did such suffering come? “Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

3. Lamentations
And why must we pray?

(1) Reason
After Jeremiah comes the book of Lamentations. There, the true reasons are revealed. Why did this happen? “If the Ethiopian’s skin does not change and the leopard’s spots do not change, why has this changed?” While lamenting, it puts it this way: “Our offspring were born, but there was no one to give them milk. Our little children’s tongues stuck to the roofs of their mouths. They were dying because they could not eat bread.”

(2) Answer
“Cry out to the LORD.” It explains this way. All of this is the Babylonian captivity disease.

4. Ezekiel
Today in Ezekiel we are given an important answer.

1) Reason
It is not merely that the next generation’s tongues stuck to the roofs of their mouths. How could the people of our God come to this? They became like dry bones—completely. They dried out and were scattered, unable to live. It became absolutely impossible.

2) Answer
Here He speaks of the secret to revive them. He tells the secret of turning Israel, who became dry bones, into a heavenly army. This is extremely important. In a sense, the book of Ezekiel could be considered a conclusion. If Isaiah is the introduction you must know from the beginning, Ezekiel is the conclusion: “Make you and the people of Israel into the army of heaven.” Not dead bones that have been utterly destroyed, but make them an army.

3) How
In this brief time today, how can we receive this answer? Whenever you worship, as we mentioned in the lesson, the living Word must seize you. If not, you will, in fact, never receive answers. Only then does prayer become living and active. Only then will the Word become living and active in your life, and that becomes evangelism and makes you a witness. You must be able to enjoy this throughout the six days. Then, when the Fri–Sat–Sun time comes and you hear the core message, something important emerges. You must keep enjoying these answers, but because that hasn’t been happening, God gave Ezekiel this important message today.

▣ Main Message_ Three words

Remember three words today.

  1. By the Chebar Canal (Ezek. 3)
It appears in chapter 3, though we read only chapter 37 today. Ezekiel was among the captives with them. So it was more vivid. Daniel was in the palace, but Ezekiel was on the field. There is an important phrase:

1) Ezekiel at the Chebar Canal who knew the cause and prayed
“Ezekiel was by the Chebar Canal.” What does that mean? Those who know the cause and pray will overcome. This is very important. “He was by the Chebar Canal.” It’s a phrase to ponder. The Bible mentions “mountains” often—people prayed there. Some were by the “sea.” The Bible also mentions “wilderness,” and “a desolate place”—similar. Among those, those who received the greatest answers were often on mountains, by rivers, or at the sea. He knew why they had gone into Babylonian captivity. So, among the captives of Babylon, he wrote this. The Chebar Canal links the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers; it is a canal. If you visit places like the Panama Canal, you can sense it—Chebar is such a canal. There Ezekiel prayed by the Chebar Canal.

2) Ezekiel became mute
At that time, a new prophecy was given. Ezekiel’s wife died then. Ezekiel stopped all mourning and all customary acts. Chapter 33 records, “Ezekiel became mute.” Did he become mute by not speaking, or literally? That is not the point. If you truly want to receive answers, human words are unnecessary. Can human words accomplish it? If you truly want to change your destiny, words are unnecessary.
When I was in the second year of middle school, my father passed away. During the funeral, I did not cry. Some adults who lacked sense criticized me. They said I was heartless: “How can he not shed a single tear when his father has died?” I did not. Why? Words were unnecessary. I decided that when I grew up, I would succeed and do world evangelization. I decided never to talk about “money, money” for the rest of my life in the way the poor must. At that time, I decided not to be powerless, unable to evangelize, yet always babbling human words. That is why I have met you. How grateful I am.
Human words are unnecessary to turn dry bones into an army. That is the first condition. If you work at a company and there is much talk there, that person should not be there. Words are unnecessary. So it says he became mute. We would need to check once more whether he literally became mute or simply refrained from speaking—I do not know. “He became mute.”

3) God gave Ezekiel His Word and fulfilled it
God gave Ezekiel His Word and fulfilled it.

  1. Watchman (Ezek. 33)
Second, in chapter 33, God gave Ezekiel a second key word. Only when human words are unnecessary will God’s Word be given. At that time the word given was “watchman.”

1) Ezekiel 33
“Go and speak to those in danger now, so that they may live. If they do not hear and die, the responsibility is theirs; but if you do not tell them, the responsibility is yours.”

2) Ezekiel 34
In chapter 34, “Look at the many hungry sheep.”

3) Ezekiel 36
In chapter 36, He says, “Hear the word of the LORD.” The Word must come upon the watchman. Verse 1 records, “O mountains, hear the word of the LORD.” Why not “O people”? Why mountains? Because they do not change. He told the mountains to hear the word of the LORD. That is, it never changes. “I will bring back those who were taken.” In verse 11, “I will make you better than at first. You will no longer be bereaved of your children.” To Ezekiel, who did not rely on human speech, God gave His Word.
※ Human words are unnecessary. The living Word of God is necessary. That Word came, and he became a watchman.
If hardship comes to you, human words are unnecessary. God’s Word is necessary. A Word of power. The scattered remnants throughout the world need the living Word of God and His power. That Word came: the watchman.

  1. One who prophesies (spokesman) (Ezek. 37)
Third—remember and hold to this for answers; no need to complicate it. The third is: “Prophesy the Word. Prophesy to the breath (spirit).” What is that? A spokesman (one who declares on behalf). These three: Ezekiel, mute, standing by the Chebar Canal; Ezekiel, who received God’s Word and became a watchman; this is the blessing given to you. Now, speak the Word to the dead—be a spokesman. These three. This is what changes an age. Let’s consider a few aspects of such change.

1) “Can these dry bones live?”
God took Ezekiel to a valley. Everything had died. They had become bones—dried and scattered. It describes Israel’s condition. Suppose everything of yours has collapsed; there is no possibility. The bones are not even connected; they have dried and scattered—there is no hope. God showed him those bones and asked, “Ezekiel, can these bones live?” This is important. As a spokesman, as one who has the Word, as one who prays by the Chebar Canal, what must you know? He asked, “Can these bones live?” Can your church and your industry live? These are completely dry bones—can they live? At such moments we can give the wrong answer: “They cannot live.” That’s the wrong answer—unbelief. How can they live when all is dead? On the other hand, we could say, “Yes, they can live.” That is bluster. How can they live when all is dead? Ezekiel, who held to the covenant, answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.” In simple terms: “You can do it, Lord.”

2) “Prophesy to these bones the Word of God.”
Then He said, “Prophesy to these bones.” Prophecy here is not my words; it is to declare God’s Word. We use the term “Word” respectfully in Korean speech—when addressing someone above us. We say, “Please speak ( 말씀 ),” to a parent or someone we respect; to a child, we would say, “say ( 말 ).” We also use terms like “speech pattern” and “tone.” A single harsh tone can drive someone to suicide; a single helpful word can revive someone. Then how much more to “prophesy the Word of God.” For pastors, this is crucial—never share your own thoughts; declare God’s Word. When that was done, the bones began to live and move.

(1) God’s Word
God’s Word is the Word of creation. The Word is God. The Word became flesh and came to this earth. The Word is living and active. Declare this Word. This is extremely important.

(2) Wait until the Word is fulfilled; when it is, follow it
Elders and pastors, do not be impatient. Wait until the Word is fulfilled; when it is, follow it. Cause the Word to be fulfilled in your field of industry. Then it will do. Simply put, the prophesied Word of God was fulfilled. He saw that timetable.

3) “Prophesy to the breath.”
After that, He said, “Breathe the breath (spirit) into them.” Not that you breathe it in, but “Prophesy to the breath.” You have the qualification to declare God’s Word. Right?

(1) You have the qualification and authority to declare God’s Word
You have the qualification and authority to declare God’s Word. Convey it.
When I came to Yeongdo in 1987, I said, “In the morning first service, I will start from Genesis.” And, “In the evening, because we must evangelize, I will start from Acts.” “Because God’s Word is living, by the time we finish Genesis, God will have worked within it.” And that is what happened. Even before Genesis ended, people from across the nation and the world began to come to our church to receive training. Those who worry about “What will become of us?”—it will be fine.

(2) To the dying, declare the power and life of the throne; declare to the breath so the Holy Spirit will work
“Declare God’s Word to those who are dying. Declare to the breath so the power and life of the throne will enter, so the Holy Spirit will work. It is not you who breathe it in; declare it.” Remember this.

(3) If you take true courage, it is imprinted in your brain; it connects to your soul, meets the Word, and meets the throne
People do not realize how tremendous our soul and brain are. If you say, “I’m going to die,” it becomes imprinted in the brain; the brain instructs accordingly. This is scientific—medical. If you truly muster courage and say, “I can do it,” the brain understands and instructs accordingly. “You can live.” This connects with our soul; it meets the Word, and meets the throne. Tremendous. Therefore, you must go with this important power.

※ In the name of Jesus Christ, declare the Word and declare to the breath. This is what turns them into an army.
Because you already have the Word, first declare the Word wherever you go. Declare to the breath. In the name of Christ. In some cases, binding the darkness is also a declaration. “In the name of Jesus Christ, let this Satan be bound.” Right? These astounding people rose and became an army.

▣ Conclusion_ How you worship is crucial (Ezek. 47)

In conclusion, that was not the end. He led him into the temple in chapter 47. What does that mean? How you now worship is crucial. There is something very important here.

  1. You must entrust everything to God. Change your worries, thoughts, words, and prayers (Ezek. 47:1–5).
He led him where the water flowed. The water came up to the ankles—after measuring a thousand cubits. “Walk.” Easy enough. Then He took him to deeper water. The water reached the knees; still manageable. Then deeper; the water reached the waist—walking became harder. A bit deeper; water up to the chest—walking was nearly impossible; he had to swim. A little further; the water became deep—you could not walk. What must you do? Entrust your body to the water and swim. That is the message.

1) God has a plan of the Word for you
Today you must entrust everything—cast your cares. Why? Because God has a plan of the Word for you. Surely. Elders, the first thing to beware of is worry—cast it off. Why? Because you are important. In the end, when you finish life, it will be as you have spoken. It will be as you worried. Remember this.

2) The One who guards you and the church 100% is the LORD God
“I have nothing”—not so. Change your words, thoughts, and prayers. As a child I always said, “I don’t need money. Why? Because I am not poor. My parents may be poor, but not me.” Why must I live like that? Right? It was fulfilled exactly. “I can overcome sickness.” Why? Because I must do world evangelization. If God makes me sick, so be it—I can go home. Why should that be a problem for me? Do not worry. Many worry. The One who guards you 100% and guards the church 100% is the LORD God.

3) Job 3:25; 1 Pet. 5:7–8; Eph. 4:26–27; Eph. 6:18
Why were they taken captive? Because they had to do world evangelization—and since they did not realize it, He sent them. Simple. Cast all your cares on God.
In Job 3:25, Satan struck the area Job constantly worried about. “Cast all your anxieties on Him. Your adversary the devil prowls around, seeking someone to devour”—he knows what you worry about. Do not be angry and sin; do not give the devil a foothold (Eph. 4:27). The devil uses many strategies to topple you. Therefore, “pray at all times in the Spirit” (Eph. 6:18). He led him there. In the temple, as the water rose and I was immersed, I had to entrust myself. I preach this, but my personal experience is lacking—because my mother imprinted a fear of water in me in childhood. I still cannot swim. If I fall in, I must walk out—that’s how I am. Childhood imprinting is fearful. Someone texted me: “Swimming is simple. Just entrust your body.” I understand the words, but still. God led humanity into deep water. Even if you cannot swim, it’s okay. Entrust all your anxieties.

  1. The water flowing from the pulpit revived the sea and every living thing (Ezek. 47:6–9)
Then He brought him to the riverbank. This power began to revive the sea. Indeed, verse 9 says the water from the sanctuary revived the sea and every living creature.
  2. This water went to each tribe and began to revive the dead land (Ezek. 48)
It revived the fruit trees. Where did it go? To each tribe. It began to revive the dead land. That is chapter 48—revival began to spread. Indeed.

※ Worship that revives three things
Through the Word, worship revives three things. The Word becomes living and active, prayer becomes living and active, and the evidence of evangelism becomes living and active—that is what you see throughout the six days.
We mentioned Rockefeller—not that he is the issue; you can receive even greater answers. Rockefeller only evangelized America; we are doing world evangelization. We spoke of Wanamaker—one who triumphed holding to the living Word. And of Lincoln—those people only saved America. With this covenant—the living Word—you are the ones doing world evangelization. Hold firmly to this covenant.

1) You must actually have the Word
The most important thing is to actually possess the Word. Even pastors—let alone elders—when I meet them, I mostly do not speak; I listen. I hear their difficulties and pains, but they do not have the Word. You will never receive answers. Pastors must revive the spirit of the church; otherwise, it is a big problem. It is not by our ability; we must have the Word.

2) Do not transmit your personality; transmit the Word
Many assistant ministers—are you going to transmit your personality? You will all be dismissed if so. Transmit the Word. In this age, important elders should not be mired in difficulties; they must hold to the Word. Evidence will surely come one day—the Word will come alive.
I said this yesterday: preaching and teaching are my “work.” My suit is my work clothes. When I am not preaching and go out, I wear jeans—my “special” clothes. Yesterday I had a meal with some of our executive elders. Elder Kim Gi-Su looked at me and said, “Wow, pastor, that’s very stylish.” I thought to myself, “This elder has the keenest spiritual eyesight I’ve ever seen,” because no one has ever called me stylish. No one. But that elder did. People are pleased when someone understands them even a little.

3) If we enjoy the Word of God working within us, we have nothing to fear
If you enjoy the Word of God working within you, there is nothing to fear. You will surely do world evangelization. Let us pray.

Prayer. We give thanks to God. We thank You for calling us to do world evangelization. Grant power and fresh grace. May all the glory be to God. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Life of Evangelism Camp

2025.08.24 Sunday 2nd Service
Domestic Evangelism Committee, 2000 Regional Churches Dept.
Second Half Evangelism Camp Devotional Worship
Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 2:9

What is the most important thing in evangelism and missions? You must receive answers. Without receiving answers, you cannot truly evangelize or do missions. That is why evangelism and missions are not something you do — they are something you see. You must absolutely receive these answers. How do you receive them?

[The Blessing of the Watchman (1 Peter 2:9)]
If you hold on to this covenant, God will give you the blessing of the watchman. In 1 Peter 2:9, He called you so that you may declare the praises of the light. So, what kind of answers must you receive? Even now, as you sit here, you must receive answers. People often miss them because they do not understand what true answers are.

There are people who received the greatest answers even without stepping into the evangelism field. Who was that? Theophilus. He didn’t even go to the field, yet he received incredible answers. The book of Acts was written by Luke and sent to Theophilus, a governor and a legal authority. He received the message and enjoyed its blessings without ever appearing in the mission field — yet he received some of the greatest answers.

Before we talk about what kind of answers you must receive, you must first know who you are.

▣ Introduction
1. A chosen people
“You are a chosen people.” (1 Peter 2:9) It is not that you chose God — God chose you. If it were the other way around, nothing would work. The disciples did not choose Jesus; Jesus called those whom He wanted.

2. A royal priesthood
It says “a royal priesthood.” Not just a priesthood, but a royal one. Believe this. God called you to be royal priests. Saying “evangelism doesn’t work” or “I’m too poor to serve God” makes no sense. The Almighty God has called you as a royal priesthood.

3. A holy nation
You are also called a holy nation — this refers to the throne of God. “Holy” means set apart. Among all people, God set you apart through salvation. Among all writings, the Bible is called Holy Scripture because it is set apart. Among all buildings, the church is called the Holy Temple because it is set apart. Among all possessions, what you offer to God is called holy. Believe this: God has set you apart for His work.

4. God’s own possession
“You are God’s own possession.” Who owns you? God Himself. You belong to Him.

5. Called to proclaim the light
Lastly, He called you to proclaim His light. This is absolute.

Once you hold on to this covenant, you must not waver. From the moment I truly understood the gospel, evangelism began happening naturally. That is not because I was good at it — it is because this is what’s right.

▣ Main Point – What answers are happening now?

For those preparing for the 2000 regional churches, do not miss this. What answers must you receive? What is happening right now?

1. The content and background of the watchman

You already have the content and background of the watchman. This is why answers are happening right now.

[The Triune God, Darkness, Throne]
The Triune God is invisibly working with you right now. That is why worship is so important. As you hold on to the covenant here today, watch what happens — the darkness surrounding you will collapse. Darkness refers to the authority of Satan.

Even as you sit here, the blessing of the throne will work in the places you are heading. These three things — the Triune God, the defeat of darkness, and the power of the throne — are happening right now.

2. The timetable of the watchman

For those living an evangelism camp life, another answer is taking place right now: the timetable of the watchman.

[Acts 1:3]
Acts 1:3 summarizes this reality: the Triune God works, darkness breaks, and the throne mobilizes its armies for you.

[Acts 1:8 – The living work of God]
Acts 1:8 explains how this happens: God’s Word, prayer, and evangelism come alive and work in you.

  • God’s Word becomes living and active. It must never be neglected. Hold onto the Word until it comes alive in you.
  • Prayer becomes alive. The prayer topics God gives will be fulfilled.
  • Evangelism doors open. You will begin to see the field clearly.

3. The camp of the watchman

Lastly, you are entering into the camp of the watchman. What answer will you receive? God will give you eternal things that will never perish.

Romans 16:25-27 explains this secret — the eternal covenant, power, and commission that God prepared for you.

Three key answers within the watchman’s calling

1) Bartizan, journey, and guidepost
You are walking with the Lord’s bartizan and following His guideposts. As you pray, the works of God will inevitably arise.

2) Imprint, root, and nature
Wherever you go, your imprints change, your roots transform, and your nature is renewed.

3) Only, uniqueness, and re-creation
You are not walking aimlessly. You are walking with the covenant of only Christ, experiencing uniqueness, and moving toward re-creation.

4) Beginning, process, and end
This is your entire journey — your start, process, and end are within God’s covenant.

5) The remnant, pilgrim, and conqueror
You go as the remnant, walking the pilgrim’s path, and conquering darkness as a spiritual conqueror.

The timetable of daily answers

1) Every day – Strength
Every day, receive strength through prayer and the Word.

2) Every hour – Confirmation
Every hour, confirm the answers God is already giving you.

3) Every moment – Masterpieces
In every situation, God will produce 300% masterpieces through you.

Do not overcomplicate evangelism. There are no secret “methods” — just hold onto the covenant and see what God is already doing.

The watchman’s eternal camp

God has stored up special blessings and is waiting to give them to those prepared to handle them. He will entrust eternal things to you. How?

1) 7·7·7 [Camp]
Go to every field carrying the bartizan, journey, and guideposts, and establish camps.

2) 7·7·7 [Masterpieces]
In every place, create masterpieces God has prepared with the same bartizan, journey, and guideposts.

3) 7·7·7 [Light]
Wherever you go, shine the light of the gospel and heal the field. This is the watchman’s camp that Paul’s team established, leaving behind eternal works that continue to this day.

▣ Conclusion

What kind of light are you called to proclaim?

1. Genesis 1:3 – The light of creation
The Word of God itself is the light. “God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

2. Isaiah 60:1-3 – The light of glory
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

3. John 1:11-12 – The light of salvation
“To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

4. Matthew 5:13-16 – The light of the world
“You are the light of the world.” It’s not a command to become the light — you already are the light.

5. 1 Peter 2:9 – The light to proclaim
God called you to declare His light to the nations.

24, 25, and eternity

For the 2000 regional churches to arise, you must raise 24-hour watchmen in each field. Hospitals, banks, and systems must also adopt a 24-system to prepare for globalization. God demands this.

When 24 is established, the blessing of 25 — God’s throne — will come upon you, producing eternal works and masterpieces.

This is what it means to live the 300% life:

  • 300% prayer
  • 300% talents
  • 300% future

When you prepare like this, God Himself will send people to find you.

Prayer. Father, thank You for giving us the covenant of evangelism. Pour out Your special grace upon those who pray day and night. Work upon the scattered disciples all over the world. Raise the remnants to shine the light to the nations. Heal the sick and revive the fields. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

The Blessing of the One Who Has Been Wronged

2025.08.24 Sunday First Service
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 33:1-9

▣ Introduction – People who received great answers in situations where no one could help

Thank you. A long time ago, in my hometown, there was a boy I knew — not a very close friend, but someone I was acquainted with. One day, after coming back from school, I learned that his mother had taken her own life. He was deeply traumatized. You can imagine how devastating that was. Afterward, a stepmother came into the picture, but she was abusive and treated him terribly. I don’t know where he is now or how he’s doing, but for most of his life, he was tormented by deep wounds from those experiences.

Back then, if I had understood the gospel, I could have confidently shared it with him. But at that time, I didn’t know the gospel well.

Many of you who are new to the faith have also experienced difficult times like these. But when we read Scripture, we find that almost all the people who received great answers were placed in suffering, especially situations where no one could help them.

1. Joseph

One day, Joseph was sold into slavery and later thrown into prison. There was no one to help him. Yet God used Joseph and raised him up as a key figure in His plan. That’s why, when you face suffering, you must hold firmly to God’s covenant.

2. Moses

Moses one day saw the Israelites being brutally mistreated and beaten as slaves. Seeing their suffering, he tried to intervene — and in the process, he killed an Egyptian who was abusing one of his people. Because of this, Moses had to flee and ended up living as a fugitive.

But here’s what’s important: that crisis became the place where Moses received the greatest answers. Many scholars believe Moses wrote Genesis during this period. It contained incredible spiritual revelations.

Your wounds, hardships, and suffering cannot just be ignored. If they remain unresolved, they lead to spiritual problems — as I saw with that childhood friend who struggled with strange behaviors for years because he never found healing. Back then, I didn’t know how to help him, but now I understand: only the gospel brings true restoration.

3. Elijah

King Ahab wanted Elijah dead. Elijah had no way to fight back or escape the danger. Out of desperation, Elijah prayed, “Lord, take my life. I can’t go on any longer.”

But that moment became one of the most important times of his life — the turning point when God spoke to him clearly. We must not miss moments like these.

4. Jeremiah

Jeremiah prophesied that Israel would soon be taken captive by Babylon, according to God’s Word. But people became furious, saying, “Who are you to speak for God? Do you think you’re the only prophet?” They falsely accused Jeremiah of being pro-Babylonian and threw him into prison.

Yet in that prison, God gave him His promise:

“The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time:
‘I am the Lord who made the earth, who formed it and established it — the Lord is His name. Call to Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” (Jeremiah 33:2–3)

This is the covenant you must hold on to today when you face difficulties.

▣ Main Message – The first answers you must hold on to

There are three types of answers you must firmly hold.

1. What to Do First – “Cry Out” (Only Prayer)

God said, “Call to Me” — not just “pray” but “cry out”. There’s a difference between ordinary prayer and crying out to God with desperation and focus.

1) Pray without distractions or seeking people’s approval

Crying out in prayer means focusing only on God. It’s not about impressing others or being conscious of people. It’s prayer that comes from the heart.

*Prayer is stored in your brain, your spirit, and before the throne of God.

2) Pray earnestly

(1) Abraham – He yielded everything and built an altar before God, and that’s when God began His works.

(2) Moses – On Mount Horeb, during a desperate time, God started His work through Moses.

(3) Elijah – When Elijah fled to Mount Horeb, God gave him the true message:
“I will replace King Ahab. I have reserved 7,000 disciples who have not bowed to Baal. Anoint Elisha as your successor.”
Elijah thought it was the end, but for God, it was the beginning.

3) How much should you cry out?

(1) Hezekiah – Facing death, he turned to the wall and prayed earnestly. That very night, the angel of the Lord struck down 185,000 Assyrian soldiers.

(2) Early Church Leaders – The early church leaders stayed up all night, crying out to God, and He Himself removed King Herod.

Start today — whenever you have time, cry out to God. Pray until His Word begins to work in your life.

2. What to Know First – God’s Promises

Crying out is important, but you must also know God’s promises and hold them firmly. These are five key promises:

1) “I will show you great and hidden things you do not know.”

2) “I will heal this city.”

3) “I will restore Judah and Israel from captivity.”

4) “I will forgive all your sins.”

5) “This city will become a name of joy, praise, and glory before all nations. When people see its glory, they will tremble and be in awe.”

When you stand in this promise, Satan trembles before you. That’s the power God has given you.

3. What to Be Assured of First

People may curse you, and Satan will do everything to bring disaster upon you, but God desires to bless you.

1) The Seven Disasters of Israel

Even in Israel’s seven disasters, God raised remnants who turned them into seven blessings because they knew God’s ultimate plan.

2) God’s Promise of Salvation

Long before, God promised that Christ would come to save us. Nothing else — no rituals, no religion, no personal effort — can bring salvation. Only Christ.

3) Christ’s Explanation of God’s Heart

(1) The Lost Sheep – A shepherd leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one that was lost. Likewise, God desires to bless you and restore you fully.

(2) “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Jesus invites you to bring your burdens and receive His rest.

▣ Conclusion – Be a Witness

1. Be a witness who changes destiny through God’s blessing.

1) From Weakness to Saving Your Family Line – Pray, “Lord, make me a witness who brings salvation to my entire household.”

2) In the Church – Pray to become a witness of evangelism.

3) In a World Obsessed with Profit – Ask God to make you a witness who brings life, not one who follows greed.

4) In a World Full of Spiritual Problems – Pray to be a witness for this generation.

2. Hold on to God’s promises.

1) “I will give you power to reach the ends of the earth, and you will be My witnesses.” (Acts 1:8)

2) “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go and make disciples of all nations. I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:18–20)

3) “Go into all the world and preach the gospel. The Lord, seated on the throne, worked with them.” (Mark 16:15, 20)

3. Open your eyes and see.

People all around you are groaning, struggling, and crying out in pain. They are not your enemies — they are captives who need the gospel.

Stand as a witness. Live as one who carries God’s covenant, God’s promise, and God’s answer into the world.

Prayer. Father, we thank You. You said, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Today, let this be the day we receive strength, see Your Word fulfilled, and experience Your healing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Church Construction Is to First Receive the Answers

2025.08.17 Sunday 2nd Service
Church Construction Devotional Worship
Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:13

The first person who enjoyed the blessing of temple construction was David. If you look carefully at David, you find this answer:

Temple construction – answer first
To the one who has this covenant, God first gives the answer. God will surely complete world evangelization. What matters is how we participate. Because many events happen, how we participate in world evangelization becomes the most important path. God entrusted Korea with the great blessing of world evangelization. Whenever this happens, two types of people always emerge.

We could not gain independence and were continually afflicted by Japan, China, and Russia. At such times, there were people who flattered those powers, some who used and took advantage of the situation, others who avoided it altogether, and still others who sold all their possessions and lands to devote themselves to the nation. Why was Queen Min assassinated? It was because of Russia. To put it simply, Queen Min (Empress Myeongseong) sided with Russia. When people found out that she had aligned with Russia, they killed her.

Though no one realized it at the time, God opened the door of world evangelization through Korea afterward. Surely, the construction of our temple will be completed by God. What matters is how we participate and how we pray. God gave David three missions.

Introduction – The Spirit of the Lord
From that time, it is said that David was powerfully moved by the Spirit of the Lord. What kind of mission was given to him that this happened? The phrase “powerfully moved by the Spirit of the Lord” means that everything was already finished, but it also contains something crucial.

[1. The Triune God]
The Spirit of the Triune God came upon David.

[2. The throne]
The power of the throne continually came upon David from that day forward.

[3. Victory]
Therefore, God gave him victory in everything.

[4. All answers]
Even what appeared to be suffering was actually an answer.

[5. WIOS]
In our present terminology, God gave David the system of WITH, Immanuel, and Oneness.

[6. OURS]
God gave David the system of Only, Uniqueness, and Re-Creation.

[7. Bartizan, journey, guidepost]
It is the same today. God gave David the journey of the Lord, the bartizan, and the guidepost. It could not fail. That is what it means when it says that David was powerfully moved by the Spirit of the Lord. What did David do that brought this about?

1. The mission of the Word
There are three things we must hold onto. First, David met Samuel. When he met Samuel, he received the Word, and with it, he received the mission of the living Word. He surely held onto the accurate covenant. At that time, Samuel would have explained to David what the Ark of the Covenant was and how it began. He would have also told him how the Ark had been captured by the Philistines, causing great calamity. But Samuel also explained where the Ark was now—it was in a windy place, namely, in the house of Abinadab.

2. The mission of the age
This was not just a story—it was the mission of the age. Samuel anointed David’s head with oil and told him, “You will be king.” And he added, “Prepare for the construction of the temple.”

3. The personal mission
This was David’s personal mission. From that day, David began to be powerfully moved by the Spirit of the Lord.

Main point – From that day forward
What happened from that day onward?

1. The flow of the blessing of the temple
If you read David’s Psalms, you can see the flow of the blessing of the temple.

The three feasts – This flow began with the Exodus and the three feasts. When you continually enjoy the three feasts, works of God surely arise. It is not about keeping the dates but about continually enjoying salvation, the works of the Holy Spirit, and the works of the throne. From this, you see an incredible flow.

The tabernacle-centered movement – When the great event of the Exodus occurred, a tabernacle-centered movement arose.

The Ark of the Covenant – Inside the Ark was the eternal Word of God inscribed on the stone tablets. Along with this were the jar of manna and Aaron’s staff that budded—signs that God gives life when we hold onto His Word and worship.

The Most Holy Place – The Ark was placed in the Most Holy Place, where the power of the throne was revealed.

The Holy Place – In the Holy Place were all the items that explained the grace of Christ—the table of bread, the lampstand, and more. When Christ was crucified, the veil that separated the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place was torn, granting us access to God by the name of Christ.

God gave David this tremendous flow of blessing.

2. Experience of power
From this point, David began to experience power:

Psalm 78:70–72 – Even from youth, while shepherding, God was preparing him.

1 Samuel 16:1–13 – The anointing with oil symbolized not only his kingship but the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

1 Samuel 16:23 – When David praised, evil spirits fled.

1 Samuel 17:1–47 – David overcame Goliath with ease, shocking the entire world.

Psalm 23 – Amid persecution and death, David confessed, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I lack nothing.” This was not written in comfort, but in the midst of suffering, yet full of God’s power.

3. Lifelong answer
From that time, lifelong answers began for David.

The City of David (2 Samuel 5:7) – He built the foundation for conquering the world.

The Ark of the Covenant (2 Samuel 6:1–23) – He brought the Ark into the City of David, even dancing before the Lord despite criticism.

The 1,000 bartizans – To ensure the whole nation and all remnants could pray, he built 1,000 bartizans across the land.

Preparation of the temple (three courtyards) – David prepared everything for the temple, which included the three courtyards.

Conclusion – Genesis 1:3
David’s greatest confession appears in 1 Chronicles 29:10–14. He confessed, “Everything we have comes from God. We only gave what You first gave us.” We too must hold onto the covenant that God continually works with the power of creation from Genesis 1:3.

1 Samuel 16:1–13 – Lifelong decision – David made a lifelong decision that day.

1 Chronicles 29:10–14 – Lifelong offering – David gave a lifelong offering, not just a momentary one.

Lifelong preparation for posterity – David did not complete the temple himself but made lifelong preparation for posterity. Because of this, Solomon later built the temple, and the eyes of the entire world were fixed on it.

Today’s Word
This week, we must hold onto today’s living Word. Once, when Korea was in extreme poverty, missionaries still proclaimed, “Korea is the nation that will carry out world evangelization. Do not just receive—prepare for world evangelization.” That covenant has been fulfilled. Today, Koreans are everywhere in the world. Korean food, culture, and language are spreading globally. Even this is God opening the doors for world evangelization.

At this time, we must prepare the three courtyards for the posterity and for the world. If you just hold onto the covenant, answers will surely come. Then, all the results can be returned to God. This was David’s confession.

Prayer. Lord, may Your living Word work in our lives this week. May healing arise by the power of the Word. May the blessing of creation take place by the power of the Word. May all darkness be bound. May all curses be broken. May only the gospel be proclaimed to the entire world. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Those Who Possessed the Accurate Covenant

2025.08.17 Sunday 1st Service
Scripture Reading: Daniel 1:8-9

▣ Introduction_ Hold on to the Living and Active Word – The Standard of Worship and Prayer
Thank you. This is the question that our remnants overseas ask the most. “There is no place to worship.” Also, “It is difficult because the church is going through trials.” These are the contents they mention the most. What should they do? We must find the answer today.

Also, there are important multiethnic people here today. From my perspective, they are more important than congressmen or ministers. How should they properly feel this value?

Also, our church leaders are here. And there are many listening to this message across the nation and the world. What should they do? You must take this with you today.

Also, some may say, “I am in hardship.” “I am in great trial.” “I am in conflict.” What should you do?

  1. Jesus Christ who defeated Satan with the Word of God (Matthew 4:1-11)
Let me first give an example. When Jesus was fasting for 40 days, Satan came to Him. It was a very important timetable. And Satan even dared to approach Jesus Christ. He gave three temptations. We must take note.

1) Temptation through physical needs
Satan knew He was very hungry and brought a stone that looked like bread, saying, “Turn it into bread and eat it.” In the Korean Bible it says “rice cake,” but in English it says “bread.” What is this? It is temptation through physical needs. Jesus defeated it with the Word.

2) Temptation using pride and self-esteem
The second temptation is something we must surely know. “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from the temple.” He even quoted Scripture: “The angels will come and lift you up so you will not strike your foot.” What is this? Satan uses our pride and self-esteem to destroy us. Of course, Jesus overcame with the Word.

3) Temptation to change the object of worship
When that didn’t work, Satan brought out the real temptation. This is the true one. “I will give you all of this.” This enormous Satan told Jesus he would give Him everything. What if he said to you, “I will give you one thousand trillion”? Many would change their heart. “I will give you one thousand trillion if you just do this one thing.” What was it? “Bow down to me just once.” This is important. Change the object of worship. Do not worship God. That’s what he said. Then you will get everything.

Satan tempts in three ways. He destroys you using your physical needs. He destroys you with useless pride and self-esteem. And finally, with money: “I will give you everything. Isn’t money the greatest? I will give it all. Just don’t worship God.” That’s what it is.

So then, today, you are missing something in worship. That is what the remnants must grab hold of. These precious multiethnic people are here, perhaps only once in their lifetime, what must they take with them? That is what is being spoken of here.

We must know the temptations Satan gave. Jesus quoted three verses from Deuteronomy and struck Satan down. Though He could have defeated Satan with His own authority, Jesus broke him with the Word of God. “Then Satan left Him, and the angels came and ministered to Him.” That is how it is recorded.

  1. Historical examples
Let me give you the answer right away: Hold on to the living and active Word. This is the standard of worship. This is the standard of prayer. If you don’t catch this, you must keep going until you do.

1) Rockefeller
Let me give an example: Rockefeller. His mother told him, “On Sundays, go to church one hour early. Pray deeply. Find out beforehand what passage the pastor will preach on. Hold onto that Word and pray during the six days that it will work as living and active. Since you are a businessman, earn much money and give offering—that is the best way you can live your life of faith.” John D. Rockefeller Sr. actually did this. And what happened? The living and active Word came upon him. His business flourished beyond words, and he established 24 universities.

This is what many of you don’t know—what to do after worship. It’s true. Many don’t know what to do after coming to worship on Sunday. Instead of holding on to the living Word of God, we hold on to other things. That is a great loss.

2) Wanamaker
This morning in the elders’ meeting I shared this: Wanamaker once said, “For me, teaching children in Sunday school and worshiping on the Lord’s Day is more important than being a government minister.” He said this when he was actually appointed as a minister. What would an ordinary believer say? “How important it is to be a minister! Not everyone can be one. But anyone can serve in Sunday school.” They would say, “Hallelujah! I’m a minister.” And to get it, they would even lie in their confirmation hearings. But Wanamaker said no.

This is not about whether being a minister is important or Sunday school is important. What he meant is this: holding onto the Word in worship on the Lord’s Day and making it living and active—that is how he became the department store king of the world. This is what we are missing.

3) Lincoln (Galatians 3:28)
Another example: Lincoln. You know how he faced continual failures. Yet he held on to one thing: the living and active Word. Even in the midst of failure, he held on to it. He held on to Galatians 3:28. And he changed the world. The work of the Word continued to happen. This is what you must hold on to. Remnants, this is beyond words.

  1. Biblical examples
Let’s look at biblical examples. We just saw historical ones, now let’s look at the Bible.

1) Joseph
He was sold to a place where no one could help him. Joseph. But Joseph held on to the living and active Word. In Potiphar’s house, God worked. Even in the fields, God worked. Though falsely accused and imprisoned, he held on to the living and active Word. He became governor. This is not just a story. If you lose hold of this on Sunday and throughout the week, you lose everything. Even if pastors have a hundred doctorates, world evangelization won’t happen without the work of the Word.

2) Jochebed
A great crisis arose: all the babies were to be killed. But Jochebed prayed and held on to the covenant. She realized, “Only God is living.” “Only the gospel is living.” And she thought, “Where will the gospel be revealed and spread the most? In the palace. I will send my son there with the living covenant and Word.” And an astonishing work took place.

3) Moses
That covenant eventually came to Moses. Before he turned 80, he had the covenant, but he didn’t hold on to the living and active Word. That’s why God appeared to him at Mt Horeb: “Go, offer the blood sacrifice. Speak to Pharaoh. Speak to the people before Pharaoh. Speak to the elders before the people. Tell them the Lord has spoken. I will be with you with My mighty hand.” Moses said, “I can’t.” “I am not able.” The living Word and Moses had nothing to do with each other. “I am too old. I am not eloquent. I am a fugitive.” But in Exodus 4:24, God came to take Moses’ life. After telling him to go to Pharaoh in Exodus 3, in chapter 4, God came to take him. What does this mean? Simply: “Will you go or die?” Moses chose to go, because that was better than death. From then on, the living and active Word began to appear to Moses.

4) Joshua
The same happened with Joshua. God said, “I have given you the land of Canaan.” Not “I will give,” but “I have given.” “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. Do not fear. Be strong and courageous. I am with you.” This meant great works would happen. From then on, the Word lived and worked through Joshua.

5) Rahab the prostitute
What did she see? She heard the news, and she saw the living and active Word. Many Israelites who saw it did not realize it, but Rahab heard the news and held on to the Word.

6) Jeremiah
Next week’s sermon, but I’ll mention it: “The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time.” The living Word of God came to him. What happened?

7) David
The most afflicted man in the Old Testament was David. But the reason he received the greatest covenant was not just because of answers here and there, but because he held on to the fulfillment of the living and active Word of God.

※ John Bunyan
Today’s passage is also about captivity. What covenant did they hold? This is important: How would this Word live and work?

John Bunyan, as you know, was imprisoned 16 years for the gospel. Sixteen years in prison is no small matter. But the issue was not age or losing everything—while there, he experienced the living and active Word. From that came Pilgrim’s Progress.

So, without many words, you must catch this: “Ah, this is how I must worship, and how I must live during the week.” You must catch this.

▣ Main point: Daniel who resolved in his heart when he became a captive
When Daniel became a captive, he resolved in his heart. You must resolve in your heart. What must you do? He resolved it. He knew why they were captured. He knew why they were destroyed. Then what should he do here? He resolved it.

  1. He held on to the covenant to be fulfilled – Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14)
First, he held on to the covenant to be fulfilled. We must not hold on to covenants that will not be fulfilled.

Who gave this covenant? Isaiah did. Daniel held on to it. The most important word Isaiah gave was this: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Daniel held on to the covenant of Immanuel—God with us.

Isaiah spoke of five great things. Daniel held them. What are they?

1) The remnants will rise and bring restoration (Isaiah 6:13)
This was the first: “The remnants will rise and bring restoration.” Daniel held on to this.

2) The Word that works forever (Isaiah 40:8, 31)
“You will hold on to the power of God’s Word. Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Word of the Lord is the Word that works forever.”

3) The power of the Word (Isaiah 43:18-19)
In Isaiah 43:18-19, he explained the power of God’s Word: “A way will be made in the wilderness. Rivers will flow in the desert. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing.”

4) Arise, shine your light (Isaiah 60:1-22)
“Arise, shine your light. The glory of the Lord has already risen upon you. Your posterity will return. The third economy will return. The least will become a thousand, the weakest a mighty nation. I the Lord will hasten it in its time.”

5) The watchman (Isaiah 62:6-12)
“Set watchmen on the walls. Be a watchman. Do not let the Lord rest day or night. Build up the highway. Raise a banner so that all nations may come.” Daniel held on to this. That’s why he could not but be victorious. Hold on to the covenant that will be fulfilled—the living and active covenant.

  1. He held on to the place and timetable of fulfillment
Second, when and where is the covenant fulfilled? You must hold on to this.

1) The great disaster and crisis in Egypt
In Egypt, when the great disasters came, the power of the Word appeared.

2) The attack of the Philistines
For fourteen generations the Philistines brought suffering, and no one appeared. But David, who was inside the living covenant and Word, arose and defeated them. You must see when it happens.

3) The invasion of Assyria (2 Kings 19:35)
The Assyrians continually oppressed Israel. But one man arose—Hezekiah. When he became king, he sent word to Assyria: “You have oppressed us until now. But I am now king of Israel. From now on, I will not send you tribute.” Why should they send it? Hezekiah was remarkable. Assyria then came with 185,000 soldiers. In 2 Kings 19:35, it says Hezekiah turned to the wall and prayed with all his life. He prayed for the power of the Word to work. And that night, God called away the 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. The Bible records: “The angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the Assyrian camp.” I believe this. Why? Because when you go to heaven, the angels also come to take you. No one goes alone. Likewise, those going to hell are dragged by Satan. That’s why unbelievers scream when they are about to die—they are terrified. But the saved are accompanied by angels, sometimes even singing hymns as they depart.

4) The attack of Aram (2 Kings 6:8-23)
When Aram continually attacked Israel, Elisha was at Dothan, raising disciples and remnants, praying. There the living Word of God was proclaimed, testified, and taught. Aram learned of this. “Why is Israel always one step ahead of us? Do we have spies?” They answered, “No, there is a man who sees everything—Elisha in Dothan.” The king commanded: “Capture him alive and bring him.” So the Aramean army surrounded Dothan. But the Bible records: “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” God made them surrender, and Israel won without fighting.

  1. They were inside the fulfilled covenant
Third, they were inside the fulfilled covenant. Not about what will be fulfilled—they were already inside the fulfilled covenant. These were people who were already filled with the power of the Word Isaiah had prophesied. Five people stood out at that time.

1) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3:16-18)
Nebuchadnezzar built an idol and commanded all to bow. These three did not. The king was astonished and said, “Bow. I will give you one more chance.” But they replied, “We do not need to defend ourselves in this matter. Even if God does not rescue us, we will not bow.” The power of the Word appeared in Babylon and saved the 237 nations.

2) Daniel (Daniel 6:10, 16, 20-22)
Another was Daniel. Though in captivity, the living Word began to work greatly in him. He interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and Belshazzar’s writing on the wall. In the time of King Darius, who loved Daniel deeply, politicians plotted against him. They tricked the king into signing a law that anyone who worshiped another god must die. Darius approved it. Daniel knew about it, but “as before, he prayed three times a day toward Jerusalem, giving thanks and worshiping.” He could not be stopped. When thrown into the lions’ den, the king cried out, “Daniel, servant of the Most High God, has your God whom you serve continually rescued you?” From the den came Daniel’s voice: “O king, live forever. Last night the angel of the Lord shut the mouths of the lions, and they did not harm me.”

3) Esther (Esther 2:10, 4:14-16)
Another was Esther. She became queen. Mordecai told her first: “Do not reveal that you are a Jew.” Later, when all Jews were about to be destroyed, he told her, “Now reveal it.” In Esther chapters 2 and 4, we see how someone inside the living and active Word of God could see what to do.

▣ Conclusion_ The Living and Active Word
Today, forgive me for speaking so long, but simply hold onto this: the living and active Word. Is this possible? It was for me.

  1. Poverty, incompetence, and disease
When I was young, I faced poverty, incompetence, and disease. I had no ability to evangelize. I was incompetent, poor, and sick. But I challenged so that God’s covenant Word would work. Today I still minister with this: “Do evangelism this way. Do healing this way. Work in 300% this way.”
  2. Hardship
I once faced a time when it seemed absolutely impossible. Then I began to organize God’s living and active Word. After that, world evangelization arose. Meeting you is a blessing. We started here without strength, yet world evangelization arose. Some started here, and others came from across the nation and world to Busan because they truly wanted to evangelize.
  3. Hold on to the living and active Word in the future
What about the future? I believe you must hold on to the living and active Word. We will go to the 5000 tribes, not just the 237 nations.

If any of you are sick, do not be discouraged. Experience the living and active Word of God. You must experience the power of the Word.

※ Do not give up. Do not limit the spiritual with your own thoughts.
Some say, “My husband cannot change.” “My child cannot change.” Many think this way. But that means you are already imprisoned in your own limits. You must know how God works.

One woman said, “My husband cannot change. He is an alcoholic.” I told her, “That is your thought. Thank God he is alive. He may be used for world evangelization.” She realized something. Her thinking completely changed. That night her husband came home drunk, asked for water, and she brought it saying, “Thank you.” The husband was shocked: “Why are you thankful?” She said, “Thank you for coming home alive. Thank you for not being sick despite drinking so much. God will bless you.” From then, change began.

I am a witness. Many told me it was impossible. But do not be discouraged because of your children. My mother never gave up. She held my feet in prayer and never gave up. One day, the gospel came upon me, the Word came to me, and I gained faith and assurance.

So then, when I repented and went out carrying my Bible and hymnbook, there was the owner of the largest store in our neighborhood, a man who ran a bar. He looked up to the heavens and said, “Surely God is alive.” Isn’t that right? Do not give up. Do not limit the spiritual with your own thoughts. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ that from this week, the greatest days will begin.

Prayer. Lord, let today be the day of the covenant. Let us confirm the living Word today. Let us experience it this week. Let it be the beginning. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

The Mystery of World Missions

2025.08.10 Sunday 2nd Service
237 Missions Committee Devotional Worship
Scripture Reading: Acts 1:8

Today, we must truly understand the secret of world missions. Since most people do not know, it is called a “secret.”

[Best effort, be the best, victory – illness]
Up until now, you were probably taught, “Do your best.” That’s a good saying. You may also have been taught, “Be the best.” And you may have learned, “Fight to win.” So most people live this way. Even the books out there say the same. Niccolò Machiavelli’s The Prince is about how to win. The Art of War by Sun Tzu is about how to kill the opponent and win. That’s what schools teach. Another is how to deceive others well and take advantage—Han Feizi’s theory.
As a result, disease remains. That is why people get sick. Many who get cancer are those who have endured much, kind people, intelligent people. Those who speak recklessly and say whatever they want often don’t get it. Those with poor intellect often don’t. It’s the ones who have suffered much who do. We shouldn’t just joke about this; we must seriously ask—can this approach accomplish world missions? Even if you succeed with your best effort, world missions will still be impossible.

[Matthew 11:28, Matthew 4:19, Mark 3:13–15, John 16:33, Acts 1:8]
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened.” He literally said, “Come with your burdens.” “I will give you rest.” “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” This is completely different. Which is correct? What you learned from the world and what Jesus said are completely different. From the moment He called them, He said, “I called you so that you might be with Me, and that I might send you out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.” “I will give you peace. Take heart! I have overcome the world.” He also said, “When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive power, and you will be My witnesses to the ends of the earth.”

[Philippians 3:1–21]
The Apostle Paul, who realized this, said in Philippians 3, “I consider what I gained and possessed to be shameful, a loss, garbage.” He considered what the world valued to be trash, because “it kept me from knowing the tremendous secret of the gospel.” People boast about what they have done, but Paul said, “I have done nothing. I have accomplished nothing.” He pursued “what Christ Jesus took hold of me for,” and sought “the prize for which God has called me heavenward.” He said, “Our citizenship is in heaven,” not in Rome, even though Roman citizenship was prized. Having nothing is fine—because “He has given the name that brings all things into submission.”

At WRC, I especially thank our ministers and elders for all their effort. Especially for the overseas guests—you served and helped them, and though it was tiring, the reward is great. Now we must take up the mission of the watchman.

▣ Introduction – The watchman
We must confirm what was given at the Remnant Conference—you have been set as watchmen.

    1. Bartizan, journey, guidepost
We must build the bartizan given by the Lord, go on the journey, and set the guidepost. If our remnants do not know this while young, they will struggle their whole lives.
    2. Imprint, root, nature
We must change what has been imprinted, rooted, and formed in our nature. Without this, there is no spiritual healing, and world evangelization is impossible.
    3. Only, uniqueness, re-creation
The method is “only.” You must go with uniqueness, and leave works of re-creation. Without this blessing, remnants will spend their lives worrying about money until they die. I lived that way before knowing the gospel—always worried about food and my children’s studies. But once I received the answer of only, uniqueness, and re-creation, God used me to save many.
    4. The remaining ones, pilgrims, conquerors
We are remaining ones, called to walk the pilgrim’s path, and to be conquerors to block the darkness.
    5. Start, process, end
The start is only, the process is the pilgrim’s path, and the end is becoming a conqueror.
    6. 24, 25, eternity
These are the times of prayer—24, the 25th hour, and eternity.
    7. Those who guard, inform, and save
The watchman guards, informs so that others will not fall into danger, and if they do, goes to save them.

If you do not know this, you will spend your life serving the world instead of God.

    1. The bartizan of only (discovery)
In fulfilling the 237 world evangelization, you must build the bartizan of only. This is discovery.
    2. The journey of uniqueness (pre-ownership)
Go on the journey of uniqueness. This is not just discovery—it is pre-ownership.
    3. The guidepost of re-creation (challenge)
      Challenge the guidepost of re-creation.

Only then can you do world missions. Important nations have opened this year, and next year more will open, with many talents coming.

1) The bartizan of only (discovery)
Make yourself 300%. Without it, you cannot evangelize the world. Acts 1:1 – Only Christ. Acts 1:3 – Only the kingdom of God. Acts 1:8 – Only the Holy Spirit.

2) The journey of uniqueness (pre-ownership)
Enjoy 300% of the field. Example: Acts 13:1–4 – be led entirely by the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:5–11 – heal the Nephilim by the Holy Spirit’s work. Acts 13:12 – the proconsul became a disciple.

3) The guidepost of re-creation (challenge)
This is the 300% future—seeing the 237 nations, the 5000 tribes, and matching the path of TCK, CCK, and NCK.

▣ Conclusion

If you hold to this covenant, you will see:

    1. John 19:30 – Calvary’s covenant solving past, present, and future.
    2. Acts 1:3 – the things of the kingdom of God.
    3. Acts 2:1–13 – the five flows from Mark’s upper room.
    4. Acts 11:19 – the scattered ones gathered in Antioch.
    5. Acts 13:1 – the first missionary sending.
    6. Acts 16:6–10 – from Troas to Macedonia.
    7. Acts 19:21 – “I must see Rome also.”

The true answer is the fulfillment of the Word and the rise of the life movement and evangelism movement. Your studies, work, and life must be used for world evangelization and saving those trapped in darkness.

Once again, I thank our elders and ministers for their faithful service. Many received grace and left blessed.

Prayer. Thank You, Lord, for receiving our worship and praise. Let us see what You desire. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

First Restore the Mission of the Watchman

2025.08.10 Sunday 1st Service
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 62:6-12

Thank you. Now, most of the remnants have returned to their fields. During today’s district lesson, I told you to build the secret bartizan. Build it because it will surely be answered. This afternoon in the second service, we will look at the mission of the watchman.

1. The covenant of the watchman
Remnants and you across the nation and the world must become watchmen. The important answer in today’s first service was the covenant of the watchman. This covenant of the watchman has several characteristics.

1. The covenant related to life
This is the covenant given at the crossroads of life and death.
2. The covenant that will change the age
And it is the covenant that will change the age. It is the covenant related to life. Today, you must firmly hold onto the covenant of the watchman.

2. Thoughts – Imprinted in the brain, soul, and throne (Revelation 8:3–5)
Even now, if you ride an airplane, there are times when about 300 people board. Under that airplane, the cargo space is filled with luggage. Sometimes they even load heavy metal objects. And yet, with 300 people on board, the airplane rises straight into the sky. So, every time I fly, I still think, “This is amazing.”
And in 1988, cell phones were this big (large). Calls were often disconnected. But now, they are small, and everything is on them. Looking at both cell phones and airplanes, I thought—someone first thought of it before it was made. Right? Someone made it because they had the thought, “We need to make this.”

So today, your thoughts produce very important results. What you truly think becomes imprinted in your brain. Right? That’s why you shouldn’t speak vain words—they, too, become imprinted. Some people kept saying they would die, and they actually died. Our thoughts are imprinted not only in the brain but also in the soul. And what you are thinking now is imprinted in the throne.

To the Apostle John, who was in great crisis, God gave a vision. From the first day to the last, God showed him all that would happen, and among them, He showed something special—that all the prayers of the saints, not a single one missing, were gathered into a bowl. This is Revelation 8:3–5.

3. Firmly hold onto the covenant of the watchman
So today, you must firmly hold onto the covenant of the watchman to receive answers.

▣ Introduction – What the watchman must believe
To firmly hold onto the covenant, there are certain things you must be sure to believe. Because the part you truly believe will be answered, what is it that you must believe? In the introduction, we will look at several points.

1. Isaiah 6:13 – God has called you
God said, “Whom shall I send?” Isaiah replied, “Here am I. Send me.” Then God said, “Even what remains will be destroyed. But the stump, the remnant, will remain, and it will be the holy seed.” You must believe this. You did not choose God; God called you. If you had chosen Him, you could quit anytime, but because God gave it, it cannot be stopped. He explained the absolute plan. You must confirm daily that you are within God’s absolute plan. That is the true answer. Tomorrow? We don’t know. It must be confirmed daily.

2. Isaiah 7:14 – The absolute covenant
Even more important is Isaiah 7:14. The true answer was given—the absolute covenant: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” This is tremendous. God gave the important, absolute covenant.

3. Isaiah 40:8 – The eternal Word
What else did He say? Isaiah 40: “Go up on a high mountain. Climb to the rooftop. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord will stand forever.”

4. Isaiah 40:12–31 – The Creator of the ends of the earth; those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength
He said, “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand? Who can count the dust of the earth? Who can be compared to the Lord?” He continued, “Can something made by human hands be God? The wealthy make gods of gold; the poor make them of wood and paint them—how can that be God? Jacob, why do you say, ‘My cause is disregarded by the Lord’? Do you not know? Have you not heard?” The Creator of the ends of the earth is not like weak human beings. That is why “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Those who hope in Him “will soar on wings like eagles.” He promised this so that we would believe first.

5. Isaiah 43:18–19 – I am doing a new thing
That’s not all. In Isaiah 43:18–19, He said something important again: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up.” And He said, “I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Even the wild animals will honor the Lord.” This is the promise He is giving now.

6. Isaiah 60:1–22 – Arise, shine
In Isaiah 60, He says, “Arise, shine.” We saw this last week. When you shine, the remnants will return. When you shine light into the darkness, the three types of economy will be restored. “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation.” He promised these things in advance.

※ Faith changes the brain, soul, and everything
But most people did not believe these promises. God worked through those who did. Today and in the end, He gives important promises—do not lose hold of them but hold to the covenant of the watchman. Isaiah’s whole message shows what the watchman must believe. Faith is extremely important—it changes your brain, your soul, and everything. When Abraham believed, God credited it to him as righteousness. In the end, answers come according to what you believe.

▣ Main Point – The covenant of the watchman
At this time, how did God give the covenant of the watchman? He gave it in three ways.

1. The prayer of the watchman (24)
First, this is the prayer of the watchman that you must take with you today. Verse 6 says, “You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest day or night.”

1) Since God is with you 24 hours and works, start the prayer of the watchman
God promised remnants and you scattered across the nation and the world, “I will be with you 24 hours. I will answer your 24-hour prayer.” This is very important. The 7 remnants won by holding to this. Start the prayer of the watchman. God works 24 hours. What does this mean? I understand it a little. When you are in true difficulty, there is no other way. You must hold to the prayer of the watchman in which God works 24 hours.

2) Joseph (Genesis 39:2–6, 41:38)
One day, he was sold to human traffickers. This was Joseph. He didn’t know how far he would have to go. It wasn’t like riding a train today—he was dragged there. He went with other slaves, handed over to merchants. Of course, they gave him some food along the way, but he couldn’t sleep well or wash. Joseph was dragged all the way to Egypt. Without the 24-hour prayer of the watchman, he could not have overcome.
As a slave, he had no set prayer time. He had to truly restore prayer. He restored 24. God’s work arose in Potiphar’s house. This is the answer you must receive. “The Lord was with Joseph,” and the unbelievers saw it and said, “The Lord is with you.” Even when he was falsely accused and sent to prison, he overcame. An unbeliever said, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the Spirit of God?” Leaders around the nation and world must look at our remnants and see that they are those moved by the Spirit of God. God wants to give you this secret.

3) David (Psalm 23:1–6)
Look at David—he was chased for many years in the midst of death. “I will fear no evil, for Your rod and Your staff comfort me. The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” With this secret, he overcame. Our remnants must hold this as their covenant.
How should you pray? You must be able to pray anywhere. Setting a fixed time to pray is, frankly, a kindergarten-level prayer. Right? Of course, when there are special occasions, we can gather to pray in a set place—but that’s like a child’s prayer. Remnants who will move the world must be able to pray anywhere.

4) Prepare for prayer 300%
You must prepare for prayer 300%. You must surely hold this as your covenant. And you must receive the answer. Shouldn’t the evangelism movement arise through you? If no evangelism movement arises, no matter how big something is, it is not an answer. The whole world is dying—through you, churches must come alive, people must be saved, and God’s work must happen. That’s why you must prepare for prayer 300%.

5) Isaiah 7:14 – Christ works invisibly through the Holy Spirit
The key verse is Isaiah 7:14: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” This is the core of Isaiah’s message. Christ is with you, working invisibly through the Holy Spirit. This is 24. Do not worry at all—pray 24 hours.

6) John 19:30, Matthew 28:18–20, Acts 1:8 – He gave us the bartizan of the throne to enjoy 24 hours
The power of the throne is yours. Christ clearly said, “It is finished.” He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me,” and He promised, “I will give you the authority to overcome.” He promised to make you witnesses to the ends of the earth. He gave you this tremendous bartizan to enjoy 24 hours. Remnants and you across the nation and world must restore this.

※ 24 – Simply pray when you open and close your eyes, and anywhere. Change every field into prayer
How do you pray? You don’t even need to ask—just 24. Is 24 possible? Just open your eyes and pray. No need to set it. When you truly want to pray, you can’t be bound to a set time—you just pray. It’s like exercise—if you really want to do it, you can’t only go when you have booked a gym; you just do it anywhere. That’s 24.
If a remnant can pray, it doesn’t matter where they are. Just close your eyes and pray. Open your eyes and pray. Change every field into prayer. In that simple principle, amazing things happen.

7) Daniel (Daniel 6:16, 20)
The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you.” This means the king had observed Daniel—“Ah, this man prays continually.” Even at the end, the king asked, “Daniel, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you?”

※ Remnants – Move the world and the bartizan through 24-hour prayer
Do not worry. Remnants—move the world through 24-hour prayer. Move the bartizan through 24-hour prayer. Then just wait.

2. The preparation of the watchman
Second, what must the watchman prepare? Verse 10 says, “Build up the highway.”

1) Build up the highway so that you will never again become slaves, captives, vassals, or wanderers
If you don’t, you’ll end up as slaves. Build the highway so you will never again be taken captive. This is the mission God gave and the promise He made. Build it so you will never again be a vassal state or a wanderer.

2) Open the highway to go on the important journey that comes from Isaiah 7:14
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.” From this comes an important journey. Open the highway to go on that journey. When you prepare a road, people can come and go. Build a great highway. Every advanced nation has expressways. In the same way, build the highway. Before Rome conquered the world, it built roads first.

3) Build up the highway to go on the journey of the covenant
Build the highway so you can go on the journey of the covenant. Just as Christ came out as the main figure in today’s passage, God promised this.
(1) God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are still accomplishing three things even now. Go on that path.
(2) The footstool of the throne
You have the ten footstools of the throne for your journey—go using them as your foundation.
(3) The 10 secrets to surely win
Go holding the 10 secrets to surely win. God never loses in any circumstance.
(4) The 5 assurances of the throne
Go with the 5 assurances of the throne. He explained and foretold Immanuel.
(5) The 9 flows of the throne
Go with the 9 flows of the throne that quietly change the world.
(6) The lifelong answer
Give the lifelong answer to the people you meet.
(7) Today is the camp
Today itself is the camp. This is the journey—go on it now. Build the highway.

3. The mission of the watchman
Third, what mission did He give? What covenant? “Lift up a banner for all peoples.” Prepare the banner for all peoples.

1) Prepare in accordance with the 237 nations, the 5000 tribes, and the TCK, CCK, and NCK
Remnants must change their prayer. Prepare in accordance with the 237 nations. Prepare in accordance with the 5000 tribes. Prepare in accordance with TCK, CCK, and NCK.
Most people don’t really understand this yet. In Africa, about one-third of the dying 5000 tribes are there. The fastest place to reach them is the small island nations of Oceania. This is no coincidence. If you were placed among the 5000 tribes, you couldn’t survive even ten days without preparation. Another 5000 tribes are scattered across South America. Others are in Southeast Asia. You must be prepared to go there. That’s why we have begun full-scale prayer and preparation.
Several things will happen in the future. If the 5000 tribes are left alone, many diseases from them will sweep across the world. Just as our country once received help in hardship, we must help them. The doors will gradually open. This year’s remnant conference will be different, and the next even more so. God will surely fulfill this work.

2) Create your work 300%
Remnants—create your work 300%. If you are not aligned with the 237, you will be eliminated. If you cannot save the 5000 tribes, your occupation is useless. Pray well about this. Prepare 300%. God gave this covenant clearly.
“Give Him no rest.” That means, “I will be with you 24 hours and answer you.” “Build up the highway”—if there is a road, they will come. “Lift up a banner for all peoples.” Especially our Immanuel Church must build up the highway. Here, while discussions are important, identity is even more important. World-class talents will gather here—what will you do then? Even now, those truly in the gospel movement, when they come to Korea, visit here. World-moving figures are here now—you must open your eyes quickly.
I am praying. If God answers, I will proceed. We need a house in the middle of Seoul where our remnants can live whenever they come, where hundreds can live freely, pray, and receive training. Where they sleep matters. Whether this highway is built or not depends on who will do it. If you do not, I will. God will work. You’ll see. This church used to be the Immanuel Retreat Center—I told the director to sell it to me. He refused and ran away, but in the end, it became ours. This is an amazing training ground—but what training will we do here?
“Lift up a banner for all peoples.” We don’t need to ask for money. If we are prepared, God will pour out the economy of light, the mission economy, and the remnant economy. Isaiah 60 promised it.

3) How can world evangelization be done?
Remnants, from now on, stop thinking, “How can I just eat well and live well?” Prepare for, “How can I do world evangelization?” If your goal is just to eat well and live well until you die—are you an animal? Abandon that level of thinking. God did not call you for that. He said, “Arise, shine.” Those in darkness will come—it is natural. You must prepare boldly. Don’t worry about sickness—do 24. Then it’s done. What about future problems? Don’t worry—do 24. Prepare the highway. Lift up the banner for all peoples.

▣ Conclusion – Those who held to this covenant
Most did not believe this message. Some even killed Isaiah. Imagine—after receiving such an incredible message, they killed Isaiah. Do you know the charge they gave him? It’s ridiculous—he prophesied what would happen in Babylon, so they charged him as “pro-Babylon.” Whether they have the gospel or not—if they don’t, they are a problem; if they do, they still cause trouble.

1) Daniel, who resolved
Who held this covenant? Daniel. He knew why he was taken captive—he resolved in his heart. He became the one who saved the king.

2) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who did not fear death
Who held this covenant? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They did not fear death. They said, “Even if the Lord does not rescue us, we will not serve your gods.”

3) As he had done before
The world is full of those trying to harm others. They plotted to kill Daniel. Remnants—take note of this. Because God’s work arose through Daniel, they researched day and night to find a weakness. They discovered that Daniel prayed formally to God. The politicians schemed before the king. They made a law that anyone who worshiped any god other than the king would be put to death. The king was pleased and signed it. Then they accused Daniel. He had no defense. But Daniel was unmoved. What does the record say? Knowing this, “as he had done before,” he prayed. Do not lose hold of “as he had done before.” “He knelt toward Jerusalem” and prayed, giving thanks. You know the result.

4) “If I perish, I perish.”
No one believed, but Esther held this covenant. One person saved the nation—“If I perish, I perish.”

Remnants and all evangelists across the nation and world—hold to the covenant of the watchman. Don’t wait until next week. What covenant did you receive this week? Hold to the covenant of the watchman. Pray all day today until this is imprinted. There’s no time—hold to it and pray all day. See what result comes. Even just from worship, you will be victorious.
To all remnants across the nation and world and all our church leaders—may today be a day of great grace. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer. Lord, give us new grace today. Let us experience new power in deep prayer. Establish the bartizan that will never let the fire go out before You 24 hours. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

The Temple That Opens the Age of Holy Meditation

2025.08.03 Sunday 2nd Service
Church Construction Devotional Worship
Scripture Reading: Romans 16:25-27

Many foreign guests have come. Also, at Immanuel Seoul and Busan, there are many good doctors who have the gospel. You should gather the church members and give them special health lectures. At Immanuel Seoul, I receive weekly reports, and I see that too many people are diagnosed with cancer. This is based on clear medical evidence, so you must take it into account.

When you are working or attending worship, you must not simply remain passive. I’m not saying you must always exert strength, but you should maintain a focus on your lower abdomen. Then your breathing will naturally slow. It greatly restores your health. Most of you likely just let things be. Because of this, after age 50, most men have difficulty urinating. Many of you probably already experience this, though you may not want to admit it. It’s nearly all blocked. Women also generally experience problems.

Singers, when they sing, take deep breaths and sing with strength applied to the lower abdomen. Buddhism does not have salvation, but they discovered something amazing—that is the 108 bows. It is extraordinary. If you bow 108 times, your lower abdomen will surely be activated. And your breathing will naturally lengthen, because you must sustain it. They discovered something remarkable without even having salvation. That’s incredible.

So when you work or attend Sunday worship, you should enjoy this as you pray, and great restoration will take place. In the morning, you should have quiet time; at night, a deeper time. That rhythm is very important.

I get a checkup at the hospital once a year, and this person was excessively aggressive in the prostate exam. There’s a reason. For younger people, not so much, but if they see someone older, they check thoroughly because most have illness there. About two years ago, I asked the doctor, “Is something wrong? Why is this so painful?” He said, “Ah, understood.” And after that, it didn’t hurt as much. He answered, probably because I asked, “Your prostate is very healthy.”

This is an unnecessary story for a sermon, but still, we must guard our health. It mustn’t be too painful. When I attend conferences or large gatherings, I use the inner restroom when needed. There are people who recognize me, so I go inside. When I go in, someone is standing there. I finish my business, wash my hands, and come out—and he’s still standing there. Obviously, it’s because he is blocked. I silently pray, “Lord~”

These people don’t know how to gain health, so of course, they suffer. Are we simply trying to live longer? That’s not the reason.

We must open the holy meditation age. We need a temple that opens the holy meditation age. Why? Whatever we do, we speak in three terms. The reason we must do it—that is the concept. Then what must we do? That is the content. How should we do it? That’s the system. We always view these three.

So when God gives us an economic system, we must have the reason why. Then, what should we do? Because we are unable to do this, we must open it. In the last session for the remnants, I asked this of them.

Naturally, I am a pastor—what was the first thing I did when I first went to Seoul? I visited the famous churches I had only heard about: Youngrak Church, Yoido Church, Chung Hyun Church—I visited them all. I even went to Myeongdong Cathedral. Even with my limited intelligence, I quickly realized: “Ah, these churches are great. They are diligent.” That’s what I felt.

But at Myeongdong Cathedral, I didn’t feel that way. “People come because they must.” No need for long explanation—they come because it’s made that way. Churches require much effort and display. You must remember this.

In America, churches struggle with operations. They are all overwhelmed. But I visited the buildings of the three organizations—they were exactly what I expected. They are made so that talented people must come. That’s the difference.

So, with this holy meditation age, we must save the world, but we must be prepared for God to bless us. This is urgent now in advanced countries like the U.S., Europe, and Japan. We must do it. No need for more words—let’s check from the introduction.

▣ Introduction
1. Re-creation of darkness
Currently, Satan is completely re-creating darkness. He is continuing this even now.

1) 12 strategies (Nephilim)
Satan continues to re-create using the 12 strategies. It sounds good, but in short, he is making Nephilim. That’s why rituals, shamanism, and possessions are all the same—they lead people to demon possession. This allows people to become possessed. In Korea, it’s expressed as “receive the spirit.” If that doesn’t work, if life is hard, they say “do a ritual.” Same thing. When people are desperate, they visit a shaman. What can they do? They perform ancestral rites or ritual sacrifices—all of this is Nephilim.

2) 5 strategies
The church also helps Satan by forming his 5 strategies. Darkness is continually re-created here. Who would want to be depressed? But depression comes. There’s no one who doesn’t feel down. But when it becomes too much and one can’t function, we call it depression. People experience ups and downs, but when it’s too severe, illness comes. It’s inevitable.

3) Brain – Soul
In short, illness comes to the brain, and then to the soul. The church must be able to deal with and help in these matters.

2. Re-creation of light
Starting now, let us not worry but prepare. Our church will engage in the re-creation of light.

1) Healing the root
Even if we only have one thing—heal the root. At Immanuel Seoul, teams are forming. I lecture every week. A healing team is gathering. What do they heal? The root. Right?

2) Healing of imprint
And we must heal what has entered, what has been imprinted. For other illnesses, you must follow your doctor’s advice. Right? What must we do? Heal the root. Don’t just eat anything because it’s “good.” Ask a doctor before taking it. Don’t just eat something because your mother-in-law says it’s good. Don’t take lots of vitamins at once—they damage your liver. Right? People die because they don’t understand this. There was a pastor who always cursed me and interfered. He took something from China said to be good and suddenly died. I didn’t feel bad about it, but I checked why—it was liver failure from too much. Follow medical advice. That’s how the body heals. Then why do we pray and try to live a proper spiritual life? To heal the root. Right? This is important. Then what must we do? Change what is imprinted.

3) Re-creation healing
And we must do re-creation healing.

3. Power
And what about you? You must have the power of world evangelization. Power. There are five types. Forgive me, adults, I’ll write in English for the remnants.

1) Power
Without power, remnants cannot overcome the world. They must have power. That’s why I spoke of the holy meditation age earlier.

2) Tacit
There is an even greater power—called tacit power. What is it? Invisible power. “Ah, that child has something.” This is the power. Then people find out—this child has the gospel. That becomes a testimony. Right? “Something about that person gives me strength.” That’s how it should be. It mustn’t be, “I gain strength, but being near that person drains me.”

3) Authority
There is even greater power—power from above. This power is different.

4) Heavenly, Thronely, Eternaly
There’s even greater power. Heavenly power—the power to overcome the ruler of the air. Right? Not just that—Thronely power. Eternaly power. That’s why I created lyrics gathering all of this. First year: Heavenly. Second year: Thronely. Third year: Eternaly. Fourth year: all combined. It’s hard to compose like this and hard to find the sound. So we canceled everything and kept the original melodies for each. And three paths emerged—bartizan, journey, guidepost. These were included in the lyrics. We must confirm where we are, where our remnants are, and why we gather. There is even greater power.

5) Trinity
It is the Triune God Himself. Right? God the Father, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are our power.
I will briefly summarize the rest. The introduction was long, but you must not remain unaware.

▣ Main point

Now, from this point, we must receive the answers that are being fulfilled and engage in what brings answers.

“Pastor, what if hardship comes to my family?” Then face the hardship. It is not a hardship. A child once said, “My father was wrongly accused and lost a legal battle.” That’s not losing—it’s the process. Then if the father had won, would that be victory? No. You, and that remnant, are making a mistake. This is a great misconception.

If a problem arises in your church, it’s part of the process. Right? It’s not a problem—it’s the process. Can you have results without a process? The Early Church was scattered—was that a problem? If we follow that logic, we must interpret it as such.

Was there no answer from God for 250 years? For 250 years, they were persecuted to the point of death. No—that’s not the case. Hidden remnants went underground and evangelized all of Rome. In reality, the politicians had no choice. For various reasons, but ultimately, they could not avoid declaring Christianity as the state religion. Right?

Of course, Constantine didn’t first declare it the state religion—he only granted recognition. Maybe it was his faith. But after that, they could no longer deny it.

You must prepare the vessel that must be blessed.

1. Save the root
First: save the root. What is it?
[Courtyard of healing]
It is the courtyard of healing. It must be established.

2. Discover the fundamental mystery
Second: discover the fundamental mystery. This must apply to work, study—everything. What is the fundamental mystery?
[Courtyard of the remnant]
It is the courtyard of the remnant.

3. The actual mystery of 237–5000
Have the actual mystery that saves 237 nations and 5000 tribes. You must possess the actual mystery.
[Courtyard of the Gentiles]
This is called the courtyard of the Gentiles.

▣ Main point_ The three courtyards temple

Now, what did I just speak about? Why do we open the holy meditation age? I spoke about the three courtyards. Then what is the main point? The temple of the three courtyards—the courtyard that exists and its content. It is not about grandeur. If the three courtyards are truly prepared, God begins to work. You must understand this. If your academics are prepared this way, your studies will begin receiving the blessings of world evangelization.

I say this cautiously, but from now on, if “work” is not connected to the three courtyards, it will not succeed. Churches that do not have the mystery of the three courtyards will almost all shut down. These days, even doctors are waking up. They are becoming globalized. That’s awakening. Now, doctors are starting to speak about breathing and healing. They study, and it makes sense.

In Seoul, a doctor I know is preparing how to implement the 24 system. Why? Because foreign patients are coming to Korea. They all say the same thing: “Korea has great technology, and the speed is amazing.” Things are done immediately. That’s likely true. This is the secret of conquering the world. Even Americans say real treatment is found in Korea. Our country has developed that much.

Why do I say this? This is the courtyard of the Gentiles. You must not be unaware of this.

Now, let me speak about the courtyard of healing.

1. Save the root [Courtyard of healing]
1) Watchman
As a watchman, they were established.
2) Bartizan, journey, guidepost
Watchmen must build a bartizan. There must be a bartizan. This bartizan is for the journey of world evangelization, and a guidepost must be set. Right?
3) Imprint, root, nature
Then what must be done? Change their imprint, root, and nature. What is this now? It is the leaders’ retreat. You must know what the leaders have and pray for them.

2. Discover the fundamental mystery [Courtyard of the remnant]
1) Only – discover
Do not just go. Discover “only.” If you cannot find “only,” then don’t go. Discover “only.”
2) Uniqueness – go
Go with uniqueness.
3) Re-creation – work
Go to create works of re-creation. This is the message of the remnant conference. You must absolutely remember this.

3. Actual mystery of 237–5000 [Courtyard of the Gentiles]
1) Three courtyards, the three-day weekend age, holy meditation age
To prepare for the courtyard of the Gentiles, the first thing you must do is—this is not random—it connects. These three courtyards, the three-day weekend age, and the holy meditation age are connected. Thus, there must be spaces where the sick can rest. Right? Prepare these places in various spots. Good. The structure must be such that those who want to pray can go in and pray. Right now, it’s difficult—people can’t even pray. There’s no place. In church, people should be able to read the Bible. That’s not difficult. Foreigners who come have nowhere to rest. They carry their bags and wander around like guests. They should be able to come freely, rest, leave their bags, take off their shoes—that’s what our church should be. Always like guests? That won’t do.

2) 300%
So, transform yourself, your “work,” the field, missions, and the church into 300%. This is the actual mystery. Actual answers. That’s how you save 237 nations. “But I’m just idle?” Then play 300%. What does that mean? You know Jeong Yak-jeon, older brother of Jeong Yak-yong. He was exiled to Heuksando Island. Back then, punishment meant exile—to a remote island. There was nothing to do—boring and hard. The only thing to do was fishing. If you fish 300%, you get a masterpiece called Jasan Eobo. It wasn’t written by fishermen. Fishermen should have written it, right? Now it’s in museums—it’s the standard. It wasn’t made by fishermen, but by someone who enjoyed 300%. Remnants must remember this. His younger brother, Jeong Yak-yong, read many books and took notes. These notes were compiled into something great. People were helped by it. That is called 300%. Even at play, be busy.

3) Romans 16:25–27
And what? Finally, what God has hidden—Romans 16:25, 26, 27—contains extremely important content. Resolution of past problems, today’s problems, and future problems—all are contained in it.
If you have the prayer to build such a temple, God will surely begin to work. I am expecting it. After much time passes, we will say, “Ah, so this is how it was.” What kind of church is needed? What kind of missionary is needed? If you cannot resolve this (Introduction), can it work? Satan continually re-creates to drag the world into destruction. That’s why we must heal. And this power is necessary. The reason is the three courtyards.

▣ Conclusion
Let us conclude.

1. Summit prayer
I told the remnants—you must not wait idly now. You must remain in prayer. Right? Of course, praying when a problem arises is important, but you must pray before problems come and view the problems through prayer. Same words, but different. It’s good to pray and study when things are tough, but you must study within prayer. Understand? It’s not hard—it’s easier. Sitting idly is extremely difficult. Right? Sitting absentmindedly, “When will this end? Today is long.” That drives you crazy. Right? Enter into prayer and ask, “God, what are You giving us?” Understood? Begin 3 concentrations. That’s called summit prayer.

2. Summit evangelism
Grabbing people on the street to evangelize is not bad. Shouting in subway stations is not bad. I cannot do that kind of evangelism. I’m too shy. True evangelism is not that. It’s overturning things through an invisible system. It’s a system battle. That’s called summit evangelism. Remnants must do this.
When you receive great answers, evangelism naturally happens. Even in Christianity, this exists. Take, for example, someone who sings and succeeds—it’s very hard. But some succeed. For women, someone like Sumi Jo. As I know, she was nurtured by the Unification Church. If she had understood the gospel, how much influence could she have had? But greater still is a gospel-holding musician influencing just one person in the field. That is greater. That’s fine—summit evangelism.
Much can be said, but think well. If your “work” prospers, think well. For example, the team that produced the musical visited to greet me. Don’t end it there. Raise talents in each country and region. Create musicals in each region. Then actors, talents will arise. There, languages are learned—our remnants learn it all. Do summit evangelism.

3. Summit works
Ultimately, what? Do what is easy. If it’s difficult and impossible, you can’t do it. Making money isn’t the goal—but you must surpass that. Success isn’t the goal—but surpass it. That’s easier. That is called summit works. If you’re barely surviving, always struggling, “How will I survive?”—you cannot live that way. From the start, decide: “I will do world missions.” Then it will all work. As I said in the first service, if you don’t know how to pray, it won’t happen. Lacking this (Introduction 3) blessing, this power, it won’t work. The cause lies here (Introduction 1). Because this isn’t resolved, power doesn’t arise. But you can do it. Do not fall into this (Introduction 1). May this week be a week of great strength, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray.

Prayer. God, we thank You. May Your work be fulfilled this week. Let us save the world this week by Your power. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

When You Arise and Shine

2025.08.03 Sunday 1st Service
WRC World Remnant United Worship
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 60:20-22

▣ Introduction_ The healing of light
We are offering our WRC community worship. Now the newcomers are organizing the message, wondering how to conclude. The remnants have well organized the messages, but how should they conclude? Especially, those abroad, and especially our church leaders—how should they conclude? What about our pastors—how should they conclude their ministry?
There remains a hidden issue. Among the 5000 tribes, there are inexpressible hidden sufferings. Evil spirits, spirit possession, energy movements—these are beyond imagination. I heard from one missionary that they cannot even enter some areas.
We go to cities, get off planes, sleep in hotels—who can’t do that? But powerful nations like the U.S. are even more deeply and secretly seized by Nephilim. Whether they do not know or are pretending not to know, in any case, they keep their mouths shut. As a result, they can’t endure any longer, leading to addiction, suicide, mental illness, and so on.
So, one final answer remains to conclude everything—the healing of light. We must heal through this light. The word “light” is easy to understand because it’s the opposite of darkness, right?

1. What you must first know
There are three things you must know before we begin the main point. Before entering the main message, there are three things to briefly understand.

1) The greatest sin of the believer – not knowing what the light is
What is the greatest sin of the believer? Stealing someone’s fig on the way? No. The greatest sin, the sin that brings disaster—is it telling a few lies? That won’t bring great disaster. I lie all the time: “Did you eat breakfast?” “Ah, yes, I did,” when I didn’t. I lie constantly. “Let me treat you to a meal…” “Ah, I’m full…” when I’m actually hungry. Does that mean I’m going to hell? Do you know what the real, great sin is? It is not knowing what the light is. So, there are three things you must quickly grasp.

(1) The light of creation (Genesis 1:1–3)
God created light by His Word. This light is not ordinary light. It is the light of creation.

(2) Jesus Christ, who was sent as the light (John 1:4, 9, 12)
Jesus Christ was sent, and He was sent as the light. Right?

(3) The light of glory (Isaiah 60:1)
In Isaiah 60:1, it says “the light of glory.” “The glory of the LORD.” “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

(4) You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14)
Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. You are the salt of the earth.”

(5) A royal priesthood, called to declare the light (1 Peter 2:9)
In 1 Peter 2:9, “You are a royal priesthood, called to declare this light.” If you simply shine this light, darkness will flee. Disasters will disappear. The sick will be healed. Truly, when this light of life comes, the sick are healed. Enjoying this is prayer. Not knowing this is the greatest sin.

2) If we do not proclaim this light, disasters will come upon the future generation
The second thing to know from the introduction is this—if we do not proclaim this light, disasters will come upon the future generation. Right? It’s inevitable. They will perish if we don’t proclaim this light.

3) God sends the future generation as slaves, captives, colonized people, and wanderers to make them shine the light
The third thing you must first understand is this—God sends your future generation as slaves, captives, colonized people, and wanderers. There, He makes them shine the light.

2. Experience through the Word and prayer what happens when the light shines
If you have one remaining prayer experience, it should be to experience what happens when the light shines.

1) Christ shone His light on Paul on the road to Damascus
When Paul went to Damascus, Christ shone His light. It was not like sunlight—it was truly the light of creation. You may experience this on your way to Damascus, but the best way is to experience it now through the Word and prayer.
I tell remnants, “It’s important to overcome a major accident, but more important is to experience God’s power through prayer.”
There’s a friend who was hit by a truck and thrown 50 meters but survived. I asked how it felt. He limped a little but wasn’t in pain at the moment of impact. That’s common when hit hard. The pain came later, at the hospital. I shared the gospel with him: “Surviving the truck accident is good, but more important is to experience God’s power without being hit.”

Another friend from Busan went to Gangwon Province. A truck crossed the line. He forgot everything and thought it was over. But he lived. He was unconscious for three months and woke up in Busan. His mind was fine, just his leg injured. I said, “You say you experienced God’s power, but next time, experience it through prayer and the Word without getting hit.”

2) God and Christ are the light. You are the light of the world
Right? When the Word and prayer shine the light, amazing things happen. Here’s the answer: “God is light, Christ is light, and you are the light.” That’s what was said. The conclusion must come quickly: “You are the light of the world.” Most believers do not believe this.

One busy elder asked, “How can I evangelize?” I said, “Don’t evangelize. In your position, handing out tracts will only bring criticism. Just stay still. You are the light. Then those in darkness will come. Just explain briefly then.” Right? We think evangelism is running around with tracts, but that’s not it.

Didn’t I share this before? A judge doesn’t go straight into trials but must train first. He ran errands for a senior judge and gave a gift—a sermon tape. The senior judge listened and was shocked: “This is exactly my family’s story. Why did he give me this?” He summoned him and asked, “What is this?” “A sermon from my church.” He accepted Christ. Later, he asked, “Can you share this with my family?” “I can come every day.” This kind of thing happens.

3) The light of Christ will shine where you are
Because you do not believe you are the light, darkness is running wild. This darkness is strange—it knows you well. It knows where to strike. This darkness has personality—it’s powerful. Today, believe this: where you are, the light of Christ will shine.

At a youth retreat, I told them, “Go once to a demon-possessed fortune teller. They’ll recognize you immediately.” Light is visible. A woman went to a fortune teller. He said, “Why did you, a daughter of God, come here?” She fled immediately. She realized, “I am saved.”

After this sermon, my daughter visited a fortune teller and told me he didn’t recognize her. I said, “That’s a fake. There are fakes who pretend without demons.” Know this incredible blessing.

3. Just rise and shine the light
So rise and shine the light. Remember this well: God is light. Christ is light. Not just any light—the light of creation, the light of life. You, the saved, are the light. This is the light to be proclaimed. Right? You must go with this. Without the light, there is no healing. Darkness, being disaster, cannot be healed. Without light, you cannot overcome the power of hell. Who hates the light most? Satan’s authority. Without light, you cannot overcome. Rise and shine the light.

▣ Main point_ The answer of what is rightful, necessary, and absolute
Naturally, certain answers come. If you go a little further, they come necessarily. Even if it seems things are not working, if you continue, you will see what is absolute.

1. The light that heals the future generation (Isaiah 60:1)
What is the first? It is the light that heals the future generation. It is stated in Isaiah 60. “Arise, shine your light.”

1) Verse 4
In verse 4, it says, “Your sons and daughters will return from afar.” What does this mean? Sons and daughters who were scattered and suffering will return.

2) Verse 8
In verse 8, “They will return to their nesting place.” It’s useless to return elsewhere—they will return to their nesting place. Simply put, the remnants will return—to the nesting place.

3) TCK, CCK, NCK will return
TCK, CCK, NCK will return. Do you know what CCK is? TCK are those in third-culture environments. But CCK refers to those in entirely different cultural spheres—remnants who live under disaster, unable to hear the gospel through no fault of their own. NCK are those who live where there is no (Not), no (No), cultural sphere at all. In Korea, we live too well to understand this.
Some people never brush their teeth their entire life—these places exist. Some have no shoes at all. Such nations are widespread. I saw this firsthand. Truly, no shoes. Children’s feet are in terrible condition. Yet when we came, they gave us water they had set aside. They themselves have no drinking water. The land is scorched red. I asked why—it had all burned. They live in such places. They struggle to survive. They don’t even know they are sick, and even if they are, there’s nowhere to go. I saw a 9-year-old child sitting, gazing at the sky. That’s NCK. They will return to the light. It is natural. In a way, it is necessary and absolute.

2. The light that heals the economy of darkness
What happens when this light shines? It becomes the light that heals the economy of darkness. This was mentioned at the start.

1) Economy of light
First, the economy of light. “Your gates will always stand open, day and night.” Verse 11. “The doors of your church will be open day and night.” This is very important. What else does it say? “The trees of Lebanon will beautify the place of My sanctuary.” Verse 13. “I will glorify the place where My feet rest.” That’s in verse 13. Read further, and you’ll see—it means building a true church through the economy of light. This must now be restored. Remnants must pray. In your generation, there should be no such words as, “The church lacks funds.” It must overflow. Why is there lack? Because there is no economic power. “I don’t want to give offering.” No church leader feels that way. Right? All church leaders want to earn and give offerings. “I hate offering.” No one thinks that. Why can’t they give? Because they lack economic power. Recently, Bill Gates gave tens of trillions. How? Because he has economic power. This is miserable. It’s not about money. Our remnants must restore the economy of light here. They will return with it.

2) Remnant economy
Also in today’s passage, what is it? The restoration of the remnant economy. “Your descendants will return with silver and gold.” Verse 9. And it’s not just about money. “Your children will return on ships with silver and gold.” How much have your parents and elders suffered due to financial hardship? Truly, they will return with the remnant economy. Pray with spiritual resolution. Not just any resolution—spiritual resolution.

3) Missions economy
At that time, the missions economy will return. Verse 9 states, “The islands will glorify the LORD.” Right? “The ships of Tarshish will return.” God gave us an incredible message. It means this is the light that heals the economy of darkness. First, the light that heals the future generation—rightfully. Then, the light that heals the economy of darkness—this must absolutely become yours.
In the island nations of Oceania, darkness collapses, the economy of darkness collapses, and the economy of light enters. I am certain. In every age, I’ve seen this. In nations where it seemed impossible, the three economies entered: the economy of light, the missions economy, and the remnant economy. Then amazing winds blew. Right?
People who don’t know ask, “Why does the pastor do missions in places like Oceania?” That’s looking with physical eyes. “What kind of country is Vanuatu? Why go there?” Someone asked me directly. I explained: in Oceania, there is a nation that can save the neglected one-third of Africa and the world. Over time, I saw that the leaders of Vanuatu are gospel-holding leaders. From my view, it is not a weak nation. I realized it is a very important nation for world evangelization.
Even now, people came from Solomon Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea—they are all people with a calling. I thought, “God has a plan.” People ignorantly say, “Why go to such countries…” That’s not it. Honestly, Japan and America can be evangelized without us—they are advanced nations. But the 5000 tribes cannot be saved unless we go or send someone.

3. The light that saves you and your nation
What kind of light is this? It is the light that saves you and your nation, who are devoted to this work. It seems like you are devoting for the LORD, but it is the light that saves you.

1) Verses 20–21
Verse 20: “The everlasting light of the LORD will shine upon you. He will end sorrow in your land.” Right? “The people will be righteous and possess the land forever.”

2) Verse 22
Verse 22: “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. You will no longer be forsaken.”

3) Verse 22
Then it says, “I, the LORD, will do this swiftly.” Yes. If it was up to you, it would be difficult. But “I, the LORD, will do this swiftly.” This word “swiftly” also means He will accomplish it exactly at the appointed time. You must hold to this covenant.
Wherever you go, remember: I am the light of Christ. I am the light to save others. Some people seem like they are just ranting. No—they are in hardship. Some people shout—because they are weak. Some create rumors and manipulate public opinion—because they have no strength. Truly strong people don’t act like that. You must save them. Shine the light.

▣ Conclusion
So the conclusion is this.

1. Go as a watchman
Go as a watchman.

1) One who gives the LORD no rest day or night
A watchman is one who gives the LORD no rest, day or night. Not just anyone.

2) One who prepares the highway
Prepare the highway.

3) One who raises the banner so that all peoples may come
Raise the banner so that all peoples may come.

4) One who shines the light from the bartizan and watchtower
The important thing is to shine the light from the bartizan and watchtower. This is important. Especially at night, shine the light until dawn. This light is the light of life—so it is extremely important. From afar, people in darkness will see the light and come. Passing ships adjust course by the light. There is a lighthouse that shines red light. There is one that shines blinking yellow. Some shine blue. These are all different.
When you see red light, it means don’t approach. There are large reefs—danger. If there is no light, what happens? So go as a watchman.

2. Be a proclaimer
Go and be a proclaimer. This is important. Proclaim the Word. Proclaim to the breath.

3. Be one who declares the light (1 Peter 2:9)
Also, what are we? We are those who declare the light. 1 Peter 2:9, “You were called to declare this light.” Remember that.
Last week, during a meeting, a remnant—a foreigner—asked me: “You’ve evangelized for 37 or 38 years—that’s amazing. What was the hardest time?” Honestly, I never had a hard time. The hardest times were when I met unreasonable, unteachable people who block the gospel. That’s the hardest. It’s hard to endure. In the past, it would have been simple—but now I’ve changed. In the past, I was an expert at grabbing people by the collar. Now I must endure.
Truly unreasonable people—frustrating because they carry Satan’s 12 bartizans. And the church made 5 more satanic bartizans. These people interfere when you try to proclaim the gospel. Getting through that is very difficult. Why do they interfere with gospel movement when they never evangelized before? They never do oneness—but when it’s to block the gospel, they suddenly unite. They always fight, but when they want to oppose a pastor, they form instant unity. That’s not the work of the Holy Spirit.
“Paul, do not be afraid. You must stand before Caesar.” Go holding this covenant.

Prayer. God, we thank You. Today, may Your kingdom and light be upon us. Heal us. Let us shine the light to those in darkness. Let those in darkness return to the light. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

The Main Figure of the Dothan Movement

2025.07.27 Sunday 2nd Service
Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6:8-19

This week’s Remnant Conference will make us the main figures of the Dothan Movement. This is because it contains content that Remnants absolutely must know. Let me ask you just one question. This is something even Japanese people should understand to some extent. Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol opposed shrine worship. That has been interpreted in various ways, but those interpretations are wrong. People are interpreting it however they want. How did the Japanese view it? “Why won’t you do what the government requires?” That was the question. From one perspective, their argument makes sense. Since Korea was a vassal state of Japan, they insisted Koreans should do as they said. And all religions complied. Buddhism, being familiar with bowing, complied quickly. Even the Korean church said, “Let’s do it.” So they did it. Why? Because they were under that law. Then why did Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol refuse? Because the General Assembly made a decision, so he fought against it? No. Because Japan forced it, so he fought? No. That’s not it. They even made a movie about it, but they made it wrong. Descendants hold commemorative events, but that wasn’t what Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol was about. It was because of the command found only in the Bible: “Do not worship idols.” It means we must not bring idols into the church and worship them.

▣ Introduction_ Spiritual flow
So, if you really want to be used by God, you must know the spiritual flow. Just being diligent doesn’t mean you’ll be used. There are people in the Bible who were used. Take a close look. If God has placed you in America, what should you really be seeing there? The spiritual flow. And if you truly want to save Japan, what must you look at? The spiritual flow. So why is it that only the Bible strictly forbids idol worship? Why not just do it? Buddhism says to do it. All religions tell you to do it. Why does the Bible alone forbid it?

1. Satan’s strategy of destruction
It’s Satan’s strategy of destruction. That’s why God forbids it. Shall I give you immediate evidence? Go home, place a towel somewhere, hang it on the wall, light a candle, and bow to it continually—you will experience the work of evil spirits. Is that an answer? No, it’s dangerous. That’s why you must not do it. If you make something and keep bowing to it, it will move. That’s the work of demons. Don’t shamans gain power when they perform their rituals? Yes, but that’s demonic power. The purpose is ultimately destruction. How? In very appealing language. In Eden: “You will be like God.” It starts with attractive words. Then it moves to: “If you receive a spirit, you will be like the Nephilim. Build the Tower of Babel and succeed.” That’s how destruction begins. But that doesn’t work forever, so it continues to drag you.

Where did the difference first appear? Acts 13—it starts with a shaman. You are led away. Then where do you go? To shamans, fortune-tellers—Acts 16. Then what? Make idols and bow to them—Acts 19. You end up continually dragged by Satan. You’re supposed to be led by God, but you’re being dragged by Satan—John 8:44. As a result, you fall ill in heart—Matthew 11:28. Then comes mental illness—Mark 5:1–10. Then physical illness—Acts 8:4–8. Then complete hell, even before you die—Luke 16:19–31. Even worse, it passes on to your children—Matthew 27:25. But it doesn’t end there.

In every age, Satan enters the heart of the king. Right? Evil spirits who hold powers, rulers, and authorities enter. They dominate the nations and tell them to bow to the idols of Egypt. Right? The Philistines bring out their representative, Goliath, and say, “Let’s fight in the name of the Philistine gods.” Then King Ahab marries Jezebel, who brings in idols from around the world. Right? He places 850 false prophets in the palace. The king of Babylon makes a giant idol and tells everyone to bow to it. Why? Because they don’t know this strategy of destruction. They think, “If we make everyone bow, we’ll gain political power.” That’s why they did it.

It’s the same. Japan was a superpower at that time. They took over a country and said, “Koreans must submit. Gather your spirit. Bow.” That’s why Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol said no. When did he say no? After hearing that, the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Korea made a decision: “Bowing at the shrine is obeying national law. We have no reason to oppose. Okay.” They passed it. The person who passed it was Hong Taek-Gi. There are many schools in Busan with the character ‘Sung’ (성) in the name. The chairman of one such school, Pastor Kim Gil-Chang, took Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol to perform shrine worship. Right there, Pastor Ju Ki-Cheol said “No!” “We cannot do it. We cannot bow to idols.” That’s why he was arrested. You can imagine the rest. “Tell us the organization. Who is helping you? What group are you with?” They kept beating him, and he died. Was it over? No. God turned Korea into a nation of world missions.

So there was a misunderstanding. Even now, Satan’s strategy of destruction is coming to you persistently. If your eyes don’t open to this, you won’t see it. In America, the three organizations are fully active. You can’t win. There are a lot of people in America. When your kids go to America, they’ll all follow. I personally think Japan is more rational than America. Their belief is that all religions are the same. All spirits are the same. Is that true? That belief permeates everything. Then spiritual problems will come in like a flood. Who will stop it? In Korea, nearly 40% are suffering from depression or mental illness. Some make guns and shoot their own sons. What can’t a deranged person do? Killing spouses, parents—it’s happening. We are entering an age of mental illness. At such times, those who realize this are the ones who are used.

2. Exodus 5:1–12:46
“Moses, go offer the blood sacrifice. Tear down all the cultural darkness of Egypt.” That’s the ten plagues.

3. Idol-worshiping nations
This has happened in every era. Now let’s set that aside and look at today’s main passage. At some point, Israel turned into an idol-worshiping nation. King Ahab did not realize how dangerous idol worship was. The country turned into an idol nation. As you know, 850 false prophets were brought in, and the true prophets were killed. A man named Obadiah hid 100 prophets.

Mount Carmel
This is when the incident on Mount Carmel occurred. Elijah made a proposal: “Let’s determine whether the false prophets or we are true. Let’s face off on Mount Carmel.” King Ahab agreed. He couldn’t refuse. Who carried out the task? Obadiah, Elijah’s disciple and a servant of the king. So he conveyed the message: “Let’s see whose god is the true God.” The king couldn’t say no. That day, 850 false prophets were executed.

But the real problem wasn’t King Ahab—it was Jezebel, his wife. Through the king, she issued an order: “Capture Elijah immediately and execute him.” So Elijah fled. He was in a rush and ran until he collapsed. He collapsed under a broom tree. Under that broom tree, Elijah said, “God, I can’t do this anymore. I’ve done my best, but now death is approaching.” At that moment, God sent a special angel to give him strength. He was strengthened and walked for 40 days and nights. Where did he go?

Mount Horeb
He arrived at Mount Horeb. God did not speak through wind or earthquake, but through a gentle whisper. There, God gave Elijah important messages. First, “Do not be afraid; I will replace the king.” Second, “You are not alone—7,000 disciples remain.” Third, “Appoint Elisha. He will do important work.” It was then that Elisha was called.

[1 Kings 19:19–21]
This calling is found in verses 19–21. He burned all his farming equipment and followed. He removed any possibility of returning. As I mentioned last week, in the past, soldiers going to war would burn the ships they arrived in. Why? To say, “I will not retreat. I will either die or end this here.” Elisha’s movement was tremendous.

▣ Main point
1. 1 Kings 19:19–21 [Heavenly mandate]
First, the calling Elisha received on Mount Horeb in 1 Kings 19:19–21 was his heavenly mandate. What was the heavenly mandate?

1) 1 Kings 18:1–15
In 1 Kings 18:1–15, we see that during the crisis, a church leader named Obadiah hid 100 prophets. That changed the age.

2) 1 Kings 18:25–46
Then in 1 Kings 18:25–46, he faced off against the false prophets of Baal and Asherah and achieved complete spiritual victory.

3) 1 Kings 19:1–21
Then in 1 Kings 19:1–21, God led Elijah to Mount Horeb and gave him His word. At that time, Elisha was the one called. This is different. He was called in the greatest crisis. Not by calculation. He was called before the covenant of God. Would you go if it were you? It was dangerous. He could be arrested. The king had blocked the way. Yet he was called as a disciple and gave up everything to follow.

Our Remnants do not need other kinds of courage. You need courage to follow the Word. Don’t go around being stubborn—you’ll get beaten. Follow the Word. It’s hard. Why? Because it looks like a great loss to go that way. But he took it as his heavenly mandate. If it’s God’s plan, even if it seems disadvantageous, it becomes a heavenly mandate. Understand? Our Remnants from America, Japan, and advanced countries in Europe must open their spiritual eyes. If someone living in America doesn’t know the flow of America, how can they truly live there? That doesn’t make sense.

What about Europe now? Young people don’t even go to church anymore. It’s over. Drugs are no longer prosecuted. They’ve stopped cracking down. Why? Because they’d have to arrest everyone. Even the police would be arrested. It doesn’t work. It’s worse than that. A student asked, “Pastor, is homosexuality wrong?” It’s not a crime. It’s not a criminal act. But spiritually, it’s a problem. That must be made clear. It’s not a crime, but spiritually, it is a problem. It’s not that there are many homosexuals. In one European school, every student was homosexual. That’s an extreme case. The entire school. He wasn’t the only one. That’s the kind of era we’re in. But the spiritual flow is the same. Elisha made his resolution in that kind of time.

2. 2 Kings 2:9–11 [Calling]
The more important resolution is the second. What was it? The generation was finally changing, and Elisha was to be raised as a new leader. But people began to waver. Everyone started seeking their own interests and positions. They sought places like Gilgal, Jericho, Jordan, and Bethel. But there was one person who didn’t. That was Elisha. That’s what we call a calling.

1) No calculation
Elisha didn’t calculate anything.

2) No concern for position
Elisha didn’t care about his status.

3) Covenantal relationship
What was it? He entered a covenantal relationship with God. What did he say? “Let me receive a double portion of your spirit. I don’t need anything else. Just give me a double portion of your spirit.” He asked correctly. Elijah said, “You ask for a difficult thing. But do not give up—follow me to the end.” When they crossed the Jordan, a tremendous power was passed down. Calling. But that wasn’t the end.

3. 2 Kings 6:8–24 [Mission]
At last, the Dothan Movement arose. That’s called mission.

1) Advance answer (vv. 8–13)
To what extent was Elisha empowered? God gave answers in advance. This is important. When you pray, how does God give advance answers? Whenever the Aramean army came to invade, Elisha already knew where they would come from. Right? When they came in hiding to kill Israel, Elisha already knew. So the Aramean army kept failing. They held a meeting. “Is there a spy among us? How do they keep knowing where we’ll be?” They didn’t understand the concept of advance answer from God. But one wise servant spoke up: “No, there’s someone in Israel who sees all our movements.” “Who is it?” “Elisha.” “Where is he?” “In Dothan.” The king of Aram ordered, “Surround Dothan and capture Elisha alive. Don’t kill him—bring him here.” So the Aramean army surrounded Dothan. Chaos broke out. The servant came out and saw the place surrounded. But Elisha prayed, “Lord, open this servant’s eyes.” His spiritual eyes were opened, and he saw that the heavenly armies surrounded them—not a problem at all.

2) Background (vv. 14–16)
That’s verses 14 to 16. Your background. If you don’t believe it, then don’t. But I believe it. Can you believe that heavenly armies protect the places you go? I believe there is nothing else more important. Right? That wherever you and your children go, God sends heavenly armies to fulfill His plan—if you don’t believe that, throw out the Bible.

3) Victory without fighting (vv. 17–23)
And you know—they won without fighting. That’s verses 17 to 23. Elisha prayed, “Lord, strike the Aramean army with blindness.” He was a man of prayer. Their eyes went blind. He led them away while they were blind. They thought, “We’re finished.” Where did he take them? He led them to Samaria and had them sit down. Then Elisha prayed again, “Lord, open their eyes.” When their eyes opened, they thought they were at the execution ground—but there was a feast laid out. “Eat and go home.” That was it. Then the king asked Elisha something. Previously the king had belittled the prophet, but now he said, “Father! What should I do with them?” Elisha said, “Let them live.” And they were sent home. The Bible records: “They did not invade again.” Right? They won without fighting. That’s our Remnant.

▣ Conclusion_ [Strength]
Remnants must build strength. God has promised strength. He promised you will receive power. Let me put it in English for our Remnants.

1. Power
He promised this strength. Power. I mentioned this yesterday. There is an even greater strength.

2. Tacit
There’s a word: Tacit. Tacit Knowledge means a kind of strength that can’t be identified. You can’t explain it. Tacit Knowledge. There’s an even greater strength than this.

3. Authority
It is the strength that comes from above. You need this strength. God promised it. A strength that comes down from above. There’s an even greater strength.

4. Heavenly, Thronely, Eternaly
So I created a song to help you understand:
Heavenly power, Heavenly mission.
Thronely power, Thronely talent, Thronely mission.
Eternaly power, Eternaly talent, Eternaly mission.
I purposely combined these three into one song. There is an even greater strength.

5. Trinity
The Triune God has promised to be with you invisibly. Never be shaken. Never be discouraged—no matter what. Just know one thing.

Joseph was falsely accused and sold into slavery. Is that failure? From your perspective, it may look like failure. But it’s not. He became a slave. Is that failure? No. He succeeded there—300%. What does that mean? He was falsely imprisoned. Was that a disaster? No. It was the place where he met politicians. One day, he became prime minister. Was that success? No. If you see things that way, you’ll never have proper faith. It was neither failure nor success. It was all about standing in the place of world evangelization. It’s all like that. Remnants must remember.

“My family situation is bad.” Who said that means you can’t make it? “I have no background.” Who said that means you’re nothing? That’s not in the Bible. “I have no one to help me.” Who said that? God promised to be with you to the end of the age. And no one can take that from you. He works through the Holy Spirit invisibly. Right now, while you’re worshiping, God sends heavenly armies to surround and protect you.

Even physically, it’s the same. I once went to a presidential inauguration. I arrived a day early and stayed at a hotel in Yeouido. The police came. They apologized. Why? “This room faces the direction of the inauguration. Could you please keep your curtains closed?” I said, “Of course. I’m attending the event too.” They said, “Oh, I see.” Then I realized—there were armed police and soldiers on every rooftop. Nothing could go wrong. That reminded me of today’s passage. God mobilizes heavenly armies around you. If this sounds like nonsense, say nothing. But if you hear it as truth, say amen.

Prayer. God, we thank You. Give new strength to our Remnants. Let them hear not the voice of man, but the Word of God. Physical eyes are important, but open their spiritual eyes. Raise them as the main figures to save this age. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
