Prayer Journal: October 14, 2025
23. Jul. 2024 237 Tuesday Disciple Training, Message 2
Scripture Reading: Matthew 7:1-9, John 2:12-25, Acts 2:1-47
The second lecture moves to the Mark’s upper room, and what you should begin to pray for starting this year is: what is the greatest evangelism for evangelism? The greatest thing in evangelism and missions is the “sanctuary movement.”
So people say this: depending on what kind of shrine your village has, the culture changes. Kings who knew this stubbornly built shrines. They levied taxes to the point where the people pleaded in order to build the shrine. Those who said, from their own standpoint, “Let’s not build it,” may look like they governed well, but now there are no records of them. Where many idol shrines were built, tourists are now flocking. Therefore, in some sense, even if it is excessive, a sanctuary must be built. This year, please pray about it. Even in Yeongdo where there is no land, I have the prayer topic that a large sanctuary is needed, so that place would have taken over more than ten thousand pyeong of land. Right across from our church, the KT building is now on the market. It’s said to be 19 billion won; I said, buy it no matter what. That place is perfect for the three courtyards. So even though it looks difficult to us now, if God deems it absolutely necessary, it is not difficult.
You should refer to some Bible passages.
①In Matthew 17:1-9 Elijah, Moses, and Christ appeared. They still did not understand. Peter said he would build three tabernacles. Moses and Elijah cannot be the owners of the sanctuary. Also, ②Jesus once became angry at Herod’s temple (John 2:12-25). He saw the sanctuary that importantly. Therefore, ③the Mark’s upper room became the world sanctuary (Acts 2:1-47). So you must surely refer to three things. This is lecture 4. We need to take a look at the “tabernacle.” And lecture 5 needs to look at the “sanctuary.” We should view the church, but also form some thoughts about the “world church.”
▣ Lecture 5: The Tabernacle (Exodus 26:1)
The tabernacle appears in Exodus 26:1. There are things you must note here.
Introduction – Exodus 3:18, Exodus 5:1–12:46, the ark of the covenant, the ephod (12 tribes), 24 lamps (happiness/strength/rest)
1) Exodus 3:18
The greatest thing is to continue the blood sacrifice.
2) Exodus 5:1–12:46
As evidence, in Exodus 5:1–12:46 they came out of Egypt through the ten plagues. They came out on the very meaningful day the blood was applied. This must never be forgotten forever. It must never be forgotten at all times. Then you can go the wilderness road. The Early Church had the blood and the bread every day.
3) The ark of the covenant
And inside that tabernacle is the ark of the covenant. Its meaning is great.
4) The ephod (12 tribes)
More importantly, the priest wore the ephod 24 hours. This relates to us. On this ephod were recorded the names of the 12 tribes.
5) 24 lamps (happiness/strength/rest)
And there is a command given: light the lamps 24 hours. This is what the servants of the Lord must remember. It means they prayed 24 hours for all the people. The ark of the covenant is the chest that contains the evidence of the God of power. The Exodus event is tremendous. The first covenant is the blood covenant. With this, it is 24. The thing called 24 must be joyful. Then you are spiritually equipped. Saying, “I must pray,” is, simply put, for beginners. It must become automatic. Always, and it must be joyful. And there must be strength. Lighting the 24 lamps and praying must become rest. Nothing else can become rest. You must surely enjoy this, and the saints must enjoy it. If you only know this, tremendous things will occur. Now, then, let’s enter the main part.
Conclusion– The gate of the people
I will speak from the conclusion. All the people’s gates faced the tabernacle. The meaning is great. We must not miss this. Truly, all the believers’ direction of prayer must face the church. Such people will surely receive answers.
Main– Then what is inside it?
“`1. The laver
At the entrance when we go in, there is a laver. It is to wash hands. Spiritually the meaning is great. It is the beginning that purifies us and makes us clean.
2. The Holy Place
Then entering in, there is the Holy Place. This Holy Place is where the people pray.
3. The altar of incense
Going in, there is the altar of incense.
4. The lamps
There are also the lamps that are not extinguished 24 hours.
5. The table of the bread
There is the table of the bread there. The priests eat it.
6. The altar
And in front of it there is the altar. It would be the altar of many priests.
7. The Most Holy Place (the ark of the covenant)
Going further inside there is the Most Holy Place. Inside it is the ark of the covenant. Now, the perfect gospel has all appeared. Though this signifies Christ in the Old Testament era, the perfect answer has all appeared. Christ opened the doors of the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.
“`Restoration of a life of prayer (Matthew 13:11-13)– Thus all the people, for forty years as they went on the road, opened their own gates facing the tabernacle that moved. They prayed three times a day. And their whole life went toward prayer for this. If this is not restored, nothing is restored. Only when the life of prayer is restored is everything restored. Whether difficulties come or not, whether ruin comes or not, regardless, it must be restored.
So when some confusion seems to arise, many believers seem to have their hearts shaken. If you quietly look at churches, people like that are those who would all gather as the ones who left on the day Joseph went to prison. It is the same as abandoning David when David briefly failed. There is so much of that in the Bible. Some things—truly valuable things—God gives through difficulties. Why? If He only gave good things, everyone would come; therefore, in a striking word Jesus spoke something important in Matthew 13:11-13. He said He speaks in parables so that some will understand, and He speaks in parables so that some will not understand. It is a very significant statement. There are many times when He speaks ambiguously so that some understand, and ambiguously so that some do not understand. So, as came out in yesterday’s sermon text, Paul said we do not judge people by the eyes of the flesh. In 2 Corinthians 5:16 he said that. We do not see with the eyes of the flesh; we must look upon souls for life.
▣ Lecture 6: The Sanctuary (John 2:12-25)
At this time your church begins to have a sanctuary stand, and this (John 2:12-15) is the scene of Herod’s temple.
Introduction– The world’s bartizan (Mason war)
The reason we must pray regarding the sanctuary is that the sanctuary is the world’s bartizan; it is extremely important. So we are fighting a Mason war. If you do not know this, it is a big problem. Of course, we can worship without a church building. However, the actual battle is not that. It is a Mason war. Such tremendous things are occurring.
Main– What is the reason?
1. Shrines– idols
The sanctuary must block the spiritual problems that come out of many idol shrines.
For example, in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do there is Immanuel Seoul Church. If you go to the Gangseo area, there is Yewon Church. These have enormous influence. In Gangseo area, someone crashed into my car as I was going to exercise, to go to the ping-pong hall. Four people showed up. Four appeared and they were all from Yewon Church. I must have seen them usually, but they had not greeted me; then four appeared. Oh, it’s noisy. I went into the marketplace and there were completely two teams from Yewon Church. Over there they were playing my sermon, and over here they had Pastor Jung’s sermon on, not turned down but turned up loudly. Ah, they are seizing the culture; we must seize that culture. Invisibly, the darkness is massively broken. Because the gospel is light, you must know that you yourselves are light. Everything else is useless. Afterwards, after time has passed, one says, “Oh dear, why did I become like this? I lived in vain.”
2. History
Then we need to take a look at the history of Israel’s sanctuary.
1) 1 Chronicles 29:10-14
As you know, in 1 Chronicles 29:10-14 David made preparations and Solomon built it. Therefore it is called Solomon’s temple.
2) Haggai 2:1-10
In Haggai 2:1-10 someone like Haggai cried out. He spoke about the heavens and the earth and the sea being shaken, about liberation and the rebuilding of the sanctuary. The leader who built this was named Zerubbabel, and so the name is Zerubbabel’s temple; the intact former one was removed.
3) John 2:12-25
And now John 2:12-25—this is Herod’s temple. Herod did politics well, but he used his head. “If I am to gain popularity with the people and leave a footprint in history, then I must build a sanctuary; not just build it, but build it tremendously.” He built it over decades. So he maintained popularity for decades. So he removed that former temple and built this one. Jesus went to this sanctuary and took up a whip. It was completely destroyed.
3. Reason– No content
We know the reason, don’t we? It lacked the content God most required. That sanctuary naturally had to be removed.
Conclusion– The owner (主人)
What conclusion comes out here? It is very important. There are many churches that must be removed. But you must grasp and hold onto the church that God surely requires. So, truly, who is the owner of the church? According to this, it lives or dies.
For this Herod’s temple, Herod became the owner, and the priests there, such people, all became owners. Annas, Caiaphas—such people were the owners. The place for offering and inspecting sheep and animals was the courtyard of the Gentiles. Jesus overturned that. So who became extremely angry? Annas and Caiaphas. They were father-in-law and son-in-law. These people managed all the money that came into this place. Rome—the only thing it did not interfere with was the money that came into the sanctuary. So Jesus stayed at the Kidron Valley. As for how many lambs were slaughtered, it is said that the waters of the Kidron stream flowed with the blood of the lambs. Strangely, the place where Jesus was seized was also there. Whom did they first take Jesus to after arresting Him? They took Him to Annas and Caiaphas. Why? He had dared to rebuke them, looking straight at them. To put it simply: “You dared to touch me?” That is the meaning. “Therefore you will die.” It is recorded that Jesus said almost nothing. After time passed, look: that sanctuary disappeared. Those Jews wandered for two thousand years. If they do not realize it, they may wander in the future as well. Many prophesy that even when the last war ends, it will end in the Middle East.
▣ Lecture 7: The World Church (Acts 2:1-47)
At this time you must make this church. You must pray in earnest.
1) Saints– church
Of course, we are different from them. The saints are the church.
2) Field– church
For us, the field is also the church.
3) Church building– church
Strictly speaking, the church building is also the church. It has such great meaning. So though we are the sanctuary, our gathering is also the church. However, to truly do world evangelization, the church building we have made is also the church.
Main– Now, then, how should we do it at this time? You must surely do three things.
1. The working of the Holy Spirit/mission/experience/Sunday/daily/fixed times/24+25+eternity
The message Jesus gave last—the working of the Holy Spirit; the mission Jesus gave at Mt Olive; holding onto that covenant, the experience they had in the Mark’s upper room; among this, “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching”—this is Sunday worship. And then what? “Day by day in the temple, day by day from house to house”—so it comes out. Here something important appears. Among those who had a sure mission to conquer the world, prayer began. Fixed times; and from this time comes 24/25/eternity. This is the timetable.
2. The three-day weekend age (healing)
With this, what must we do? We must focus and open the three-day weekend age in which we heal. We must begin full-scale healing. That is the greatest thing. We must not send TCKs without healing them.
Right now, the politicians of Vanuatu are not going. They are physically ill and are in treatment. I believe God has held them. Their attitude is completely different now. Before, whenever they appeared, they showed up like politicians. Now when we go, they sit still and listen to the Word. I went on purpose to greet them and shake hands. That small thing can penetrate those fourteen islands in the future. As a result, not only was disease healed; the whole was healed. Do not miss this. In the three-day weekend age, comprehensive healing must occur. Ideological healing must all occur. You can do it. You only lack assurance. The believers notice that lack of assurance. That’s why.
Can’t you do healing? Then you cannot do ministry. “If there are doctors and hospitals, won’t that do?” No. What a doctor can do is only visible treatment. You must do the prior thing, and you must do the after thing. Right? Doctors know only the physical. Well then, what about the spiritual, the demon-possessed, mental illness—what will you do? You must never miss this. Today you must engrave this in your heart. If it is engraved in the heart, it will be edited. Then the Word will appear. That is called a platform. Right? If it becomes so, you will see the direction by which you can save people. You will shine the light. Then they come seeing that light. That is called a watchtower—no, per instruction, bartizan. And when they come, an enormous spiritual communication occurs. An antenna that communicates more than a mobile phone is set up. That is what this means. You must do this. This is the true church.
3. The three courtyards
The three courtyards—if these three are absent, it is decidedly not a church. The church is the place where, when we worship, the Triune God works by the Holy Spirit. The church is the place where we hold to the mission by the power of the throne. The church is the place where we experience God’s power. The church is the place where, receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we succeed in worship that can see the future. With that grace received, the work happens in the field day by day. At last, fixed-time prayer begins by which we can restore all our things. Then the answer emerges as 24/25/eternity. It is certain. Only when this becomes so does the three-day weekend age open.
Pastors, pastor’s wives, and ministers here—there is nothing to boast of, and nothing to be discouraged about. You have the authority to heal. If only the editing/plan/design are set, pastors can give answers even with just counseling. Right? With one counseling, you give the answer. Why not do it? Again in Seoul, as the counseling time did not fit well, there were people who earnestly sought to come. I met one briefly—what was it? His wife had cancer. It is the same question as in Busan. In Busan, I found that a deaconess had cancer, and so chemotherapy was very hard. Since it must be done, it is simple. Tell the doctor you will take two or three months’ rest. And then in earnest do this and this. In Busan, it has been over three years since that person counseled with me. She is now healthy and sitting in the choir. The one in Immanuel Seoul—I spoke to him a few months ago. Living or dying is not the issue. We must fight within God’s power. Right? If God calls, then we go; that is not the issue. Then the sick all over the world, the remnants—then the Gentiles are all collapsed; we must have the three courtyards.
Conclusion– The field
Then what conclusion comes? I will address it in a later lecture, but because the Early Church could not immediately build a sanctuary, a person named Paul appeared and did all of this in the field. At this level, he can be called an evangelist, and at this level, a missionary. Where did Paul do the three courtyards? He did them all in the field. And where did he perfectly receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit? He did it all in the field. In this three-day weekend age, there is healing, but also the complete receiving of God’s guidance.
You need not worry about anything. Enter into this. God said to entrust everything to Him. Cast your anxieties upon God— in English it says simply to throw them. And your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour; “prowls around” in our expression is like going on a grand visitation. He looks around to see whether there is anyone to be anxious. He seeks to swallow. Can Satan swallow us? He cannot. In Ephesians 4:27 he can get a foothold.
Therefore you must surely teach the believers this: on Sunday, when worshiping all day, while work is important, you must receive complete grace. Right? A Remnant conference opens—every worker must remember this. While you work, you must receive complete grace. One who has not done this must not work. It is a loss. Those who work in the church must receive complete grace as they work. There is a conference—this is a special time, right? You must receive special grace. Right? You must pray with responsibility. All such people received answers. “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me,” because there is no chance later and no one but Jesus can do it. People all said it was noisy. Jesus walked right up to him. “What do you want Me to do for you?” “I want to see.” “Be it done to you according to your faith.” Christ, who is God, said, “Be it done to you according to your faith.” That settles it. Therefore, conferences are always important, and worship is important. The rest—what individuals do—we habituate; but the works all occur on Sunday, during worship. Above all, pastors do not know this well. “Ah, will works occur even if someone like me preaches?” You say this out of humility, but no. Therefore you can heal all people. You must begin with this assurance. So, those whose vessels are not ready exist everywhere, but they have unbelief. People like this—when it works, they also overdo it: “I did such-and-such.” Absolutely not—I did nothing. “In My name they will cast out demons,” Jesus said. “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Truly, because I experienced this as soon as I went to Yeongdo, I have testified several times. On a Wednesday morning I went and a perfectly fine young woman was demon-possessed. There was no communication. She talked to herself. She could not worship. She babbled to herself. I held her, led her in prayer to accept, and prayed. She vaguely followed and then said other things. My strength subtly waned. “Even when I pray there is no response,” I thought. Then I remembered something—truly. In that short time, I had surely prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, right? I did not pray in my name; I prayed and commanded in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, King of kings. The rest is what God does. Soon after a call came. I thought she would say she was healed and quickly picked up the phone. “This won’t work; she is trying to set the house on fire.” At that time I had assurance. I unknowingly said, “Wait.” If there is a fire, then you put out the fire. That night a work occurred. The demon-possessed one spoke with the demon’s voice, they say. Saying exactly, “Why do you torment me? I absolutely cannot stay in this house.” Exactly—so it left. Her mind became perfectly restored. Then, among the things I experienced many times: when such a disease has just come, the effect is quick and precise. Right? Therefore we do 24. So among the things I have experienced up to now, although it has been only a few days, for such people the work almost always occurs immediately. If it has been decades, it has already taken root; then we must use a different strategy.
May today become yet another best time for you in the name of Jesus Christ. Let’s rest about ten minutes, and then I will give three more lectures.
