2025.07.20 District Message 29th Week
Scripture Reading: Jn 16:11-14, 2 Co 10:4-5, Jn 8:44
There is no other book where this is written. It is recorded only in the Bible.
John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
About Satan, the Bible refers to him as the ruler of this world. That means he is ruling over the world. Furthermore, he is called the deceiver, the liar, and the destroyer. Jesus said, “You are of your father the devil.” Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10 that Satan has built strongholds within us. This is not something Jesus mentioned casually. When Jesus was speaking to the descendants of Abraham, to the Jews, He said this (John 8:44). When He concluded His last message, in John chapters 14, 15, 16, and 17, He spoke about the Holy Spirit. At that time, He also spoke about evil spirits. He said, “This is the ruler of the world.”
Disasters (Rome) and World Evangelization
Because people do not know this, they do not understand why disasters come. They do not know why disasters come, but finally, disaster came upon Rome. Therefore, you must absolutely remember disasters and world evangelization.
▣ Introduction_ The Opposite Direction
Rome became a Christian nation. But because they did not know this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5), they kept going in the opposite direction. This is a terrifying story. Even though Rome became a Christian state, they kept going in the wrong direction because they did not know this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5). When you help church members, you must strengthen and help them because of this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Also, when you see people struggling spiritually, you must understand and help them because the cause is this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Even though spiritual problems like idol worship have spread all over the world, they do not know why. This should be in every book, but it is not. But because the Bible is the Word of God, it is recorded only in the Bible. While everyone else says to worship idols, the Bible is the only one that says not to. Why? Because if you worship idols, this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5) happens. More and more. If you are curious about the future, some people go fortune-telling, some do shamanistic rituals. The more they do that, the more this (John 16:11-14, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5) happens.
1. Religious Authority
When Rome became prosperous, they completely revealed religious authority. To the extent that they even picked fights with the kings. Would the kings stay still? “What? How dare they pick a fight with me?” That’s why there were constant fights. The biggest problem in Roman history is that the pope and the emperor fought. They fought continuously. Also, since the king was a believer, he had to attend church. When he came to church, he had to participate in worship. At that time, they often held communion. According to church law, if someone had done wrong, they were not allowed to participate in communion. That is also unbiblical, but that’s how they decided it. So they disciplined the emperor, saying, “You cannot participate in communion because of your mistake.” Can you imagine the humiliation? Would the emperor just stay still? These kinds of fights continued.
2. Tyranny
They also committed all kinds of tyranny. At this time, Luther appeared. Luther did not point out their mistakes but spoke about the gospel. Luther did not intend to fight against them. He simply proclaimed the gospel.
3. Death Sentence
As you know, the church had so much power that they sentenced Luther to death. It is terrifying. The church exercised religious authority, committed tyranny, and killed anyone who did not obey. Even Joan of Arc from France was killed by them. Simply put, there was a war between England and France. Joan of Arc said she received a revelation during prayer and went out to battle. She actually won the battle. But there were factions. Some said, “Don’t send her. We cannot send a girl to battle.” Others said, “Send her.” After she won, the people who supported sending her became leaders. In the end, the English church sentenced Joan of Arc to death because she was the daughter of their enemy, France. Even to the end, Joan of Arc pleaded, “Send me to the papal court for trial.” But they never sent her and killed her. The church did this because they did not know.
▣ Main Point
1. One Person
All it takes is one person who knows this fact. When they mocked Luther, he quoted Paul’s words: “I am not ashamed of the gospel.” No matter how much they insult him, he was not ashamed. “For it is the power of God for salvation, first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” And, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Believe in Christ, who resolved this problem. All you need to do is believe. This is not something you do—it is something you believe. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ that today will be the day when invisible problems are resolved. One person was enough.
1) Slave
Even though they became slaves, one person realized this.
2) War
Look at the Bible. Wars broke out.
3) Captivity
They were taken as captives.
4) Colony
They became a colony. All kinds of histories happened. One person who understands this is enough. You must believe. Just one person who understands this will save their family line. If you are going to believe, believe firmly. Right? You must believe the correct facts firmly. This is not “It’s good if you believe.” If you don’t believe this, it is a disaster.
2. One Team
Even one team that understands this is enough.
1) 237
If one team rises, they can save the 237 nations.
2) 5000
They can save the 5,000 tribes.
3) TCK, CCK, NCK
What’s next? They can save the shaken TCKs, the CCKs who are completely trapped in darkness, and even the abandoned NCKs. T is the third culture kids. C is for cross-culture. N is for not—those outside of any cultural sphere. There are children like this. One team can save them.
3. One Church
Even if just one church realizes this, many things will happen through that one church.
1) Early Church (Paul’s Team)
The early church alone brought about historical events. With just Paul’s team, world evangelization happened.
2) Luther – Calvin
As you know, when people like Luther and Calvin rose, one team came out, one church rose, and the world was revived. You only need to believe.
3) One Person (One Household)
Among you, one church leader—the church leader who helped Luther—saved everything. That was one household. I’ve personally visited it. It was amazing. They hid Luther after he was arrested to save his life. We went to that house. It’s a big house. We even went into the room where they hid Luther, where he translated the Bible. How great of a blessed work did that person do? From that person, that church started and evangelized the whole world.
▣ Conclusion
1. Prayer 300%
Hold onto this covenant and do not worry about anything. Pray 300%. I will explain this more during the worship.
2. Work 300%
Then your work will become 300%. It will surely be made like this.
3. Evangelism and Mission 300%
Evangelism and mission 300%. That is how it will come out.
Even if you are in the midst of great difficulty, through you, the field will change, your family will be saved, and though you are just one person, you will save the nation. This is what happened. This is a very important message in the Bible, but I had never heard it once when I was young. Not once. So I wondered, why doesn’t anyone tell this story? Jesus spoke about it so importantly.
May all the darkness around you be bound in the name of Jesus Christ while you open your eyes and worship today. Let us pray.
Prayer. Lord, grant us new grace today. Grant us new strength we have never had before. Grant us new answers. Let today be a day of healing as we pray all day long. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
