Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1-18
This week, the content we must pray for is the three courtyards.
But Jesus became angry that there were no three courtyards. Then why did the Jews abolish the three courtyards? This is an important question. I mean, why did they abolish the three courtyards when God told them to make them? The reason is simple. One of the characteristics of the Jews is that they are extremely tightfisted. “Why do it if it costs money? People don’t even come. If people don’t come, what’s the point of making a courtyard of the Gentiles? If they’ve come into the temple, they should pray there—why make another courtyard of prayer? As for children, shouldn’t they play at home—why come here to play? It costs money.” That’s what it was. Not realizing they would be ruined.
Perhaps now, as the year-end approaches, churches across the nation and the world—especially in Europe and the United States—could, if they’re not careful, face difficulties. That is when blessing is received. Right? We must never refuse the biblical method and refuse to use biblical methods. Last week I went to Busan, and some elders said, in order to encourage the ministers, “How about giving a little more stipend to those who work well?” So I asked whether that was right. If someone does not work well, don’t pay them, and if someone does well, pay them—was that right, I asked. As much as possible, we must not use worldly methods. Just because a church is struggling, we must not keep using worldly methods.
Then what should we do? What can we do when it’s hard?
▣ Introduction: Life Camp
Begin the life camp God has given.
So in the Joseon era, Koreans would say, “We don’t have it, we don’t have money.” That was the main phrase. “Let’s go abroad.” “No money.” They disliked foreigners coming. At that time Japan was sending its children on field trips all over the world. They invited missionaries. Japan used to be behind us, but it surged far ahead. When we were shooting arrows, they came with guns. We couldn’t win. While we were wearing straw sandals, Japan was building things like undersea tunnels for railways. We couldn’t win.
“Why do missions when we don’t even have money?” That sounds right. And that is why they are ruined. Right? What is our life camp?
(John 14:16, 14:26, 16:13, Acts 1:8)
Jesus promised. “I will ask the Father. He will send you the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, to be with you forever.” “He will remind you of everything.” “He will let you know things to come.” “You will receive power and go to the ends of the earth.” Jesus promised.
So you must surely do so.
1. The 1st Camp (Guidance of the Holy Spirit)
The first life camp appears in Acts 13, 16, and 19. What is it? Be completely led by the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit is with you.
2. The 2nd Camp (Work of the Holy Spirit)
What is the second camp? Healing broke out. The Nephilim were healed. Evil spirits were driven out. Right? The sick arose. Follow completely the work of the Holy Spirit. That is how it is.
3. The 3rd Camp (Fruit of the Holy Spirit)
And what else? The third camp. The future becomes visible—fruit of the Holy Spirit, which will surely be borne. You must remember this.
▣ Main: The Three Courtyards
So why must we do this? Build the three courtyards.
1. The Multiethnic Age
First, build the courtyard for the multiethnic. This is not waste. The nations that considered it waste became underdeveloped. It may look like reckless spending, yet such nations became advanced. Giving much offering looks like an expense, yet it turned into the greatest blessing.
2. The Healing Age
Next, what is it? Open the healing age. The courtyard of healing—open the healing age. What is the courtyard of healing? The courtyard of prayer.
3. The Remnant Age
Next, what is it? Open the remnant age. The children’s courtyard.
The multiethnic age, the healing age, the remnant age. This is important. At a glance, if one reasons wrongly—without faith—one might say, “How much money does all this cost, and how hard will it be?” Right?
1. The Multiethnic Age
Thus Scripture emphasized this from the very beginning. To Abraham, who had nowhere to go, God first said, “Through your seed all nations will be blessed.” Look carefully. To a man who had nowhere to come or go, He said, “Go to all peoples.” To the early church, which had not a single coin, He said, “Go to all people.” He even explained how to go: “I will always be with you. I will be with you with the power of the throne. I will be with you by the power of the Holy Spirit. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” He spoke clearly. He said it from the start.
So if one does not understand this, one must, of necessity, go as a slave. World evangelization can never be blocked. If you do not understand, you must go as slaves or as captives. Right? Without fail. Therefore, from now on, in the church, we must appoint multiethnic ministers. “Where is the money?” Earn much and do it—three camps. When I was young, the phrase I heard most was “no money.” That is wrong. So, elders, appoint multiethnic elders—that’s what I mean. Why don’t you? What are you afraid of? Right? Appoint multiethnic elders. This military ministry is done so well. Appointing this person as an elder was well done. You may not know well, but the very anointing of an elder is itself a blessing. You must understand that. “Ah, being a child of God itself is a blessing.” Only those who know this receive answers. In America I found there are hardly any multiethnic ministers. Then one should not remain in America—one should come to Korea. Right? We must appoint multiethnic church leaders and multiethnic ministers. If necessary, it will become impossible not to do so in the future. We must establish multiethnic schools. We must create daycare centers that protect multiethnic children only. You must surely remember this.
2. The Healing Age (Root Cause)
Healing is, in a word, that the root that changes past, present, and future must be healed.
3. The Remnant Age (Talent)
What is the remnant? It is to make them fully discover their talents. This is important. If possible, we must show many things to the remnants. The very best method for that is reading. Reading many books means meeting many things without going anywhere. And then giving answers through the Word. Remnants must study many great figures. And they must give the answer with Christ. Right? Every nation has its festivals. This is very important. In Itaewon many children died, and what festival was that? It was a festival of demons. Therefore we must know the three feasts. The three feasts have days to keep, but we must not treat them merely as days; they must be “always.” Then the remnants need only know what worship is and what prayer is. Then “Only,” “Uniqueness,” and “Re-creation” will come.
I have now explained the way to find seven talents. These courtyards are necessary. They are essential. With this, you must pray.
▣ Conclusion
What is the conclusion? Check yourselves. Today I had a brief meal with the three newly ordained elders and asked them a favor. An elder must have two things. One: I myself must be able to receive strength and pray in a way that moves the world. And what is my evangelism? I must consider that. Those two must be done. So today I shared something important.
1. Every day (3 concentrations)
Every day, do the three concentrations. The three concentrations are simple. When you wake in the morning, simply do concentrating prayer. By day, prayer of checking. At night, prayer of finding the answer. There are many answers to find. Do it.
2. Every hour (7·7·7)
Every hour. Hourly prayer is extremely important. This (every day) is important, but this is important too. This morning I said to the elders: “You are probably just sitting. Sit with your lower abdomen as your center. If this becomes a habit, every disease will be cured.” If you let this (lower abdomen) go loose without a center and just sit like that, every disease will come. People live their entire lives like that. Originally, humans worked physically from birth. Right? That naturally exercises the body. Naturally strength goes into the lower abdomen. Because it must engage, you naturally hold your breath. All that is gone now. I exercise about once an hour. That is the rule. And while I sometimes concentrate on 7·7·7, all day long I think deeply in sync with breathing—thinking deeply.
3. Every matter (300%)
Make every matter 300%.
This is the life I live. Yet it is not I who do it. If you look closely, everyone in Scripture who received answers to prayer did this, and it is in the Bible. Scheduled prayer. There is scheduled prayer in Scripture. And continual prayer. Thus, in every matter, as a witness, let the power of God appear.
Today is especially the last day of our military missions conference. Across the nation and world we must pray for military missions. In truth, you do not pray for the nation. You must. Therefore the highest road of missions is military missions. Hence, nearly everyone who received answers in Scripture was a soldier. Thus may today be a day when you gain strength and truly are healed; I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray.
Prayer. We thank You, God. Engrave today’s Word upon us. Engrave the power of God upon us. Let this be a day of healing. Let it be a day when the multiethnic are revived, and a day when the posterity is revived. We pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
