▣ Introduction

1. Three things you must do

1) Take time for platform prayer (prayer at a fixed time). – Begin deep prayer that enjoys the power of the heavenly throne, prayer that fully enjoys the power of God that exists in the universe. If you are filled with the power of God’s throne, everything comes.

2) The prayer of the watchman (bartizan) who gives God’s meaning to everything – Turn everything into the power of prayer. You must find meaning to the point of feeling a thrill.

▷ Today’s worship – the site of the Mark’s Upper Room, Antioch, the Dothan movement, the Mizpah movement, the wilderness movement

3) Concentrated prayer in the name of Christ and the power of the throne over one problem – the 40-day concentrated prayer Jesus did after gathering His disciples on Mt Olive. You must do this prayer during worship and after worship ends. Try experiencing it.

2. The fundamental response of the throne that follows

1) Israel became a subjugated nation because it missed this fact

2) Jesus was born at the time when all the people were registering their household and paying taxes

1) Christ who has existed from eternity past – resolving past problems (Genesis 3:15, Exodus 3:18)

2) Christ who was incarnated – He came clothed in a human body

3) Christ who was resurrected – we now pray in that name

4) Christ who will come again as the returning Lord – our background

▣ Main_ The prayer that must be taught to the Remnant

1. The joy to be proclaimed to all people (verse 10) – this light has appeared.

1) When Christ came, the angel of the Lord stood beside them and the glory of the Lord shone around (verse 9). – If this light does not shine, we can only die in darkness and disaster. We must carry this blessing.

2) The Messiah born in a stable as prophesied (verse 12) – meaning it is a place anyone, everyone can go. God came so that all nations could see the light.

▷ God completely hid this from the eyes of humans held captive by the devil, and He was born in a stable exactly as prophesied.

3) When you go out into the world, it looks like nothing at all, but God’s plan is contained within it. The real thing is found within Nobody, within Nothing.

2. Glory to God in the highest (verse 14) – Christ came to give the light of glory from the throne.

1) He enthrones you.

2) He enthrones our church.

3) He enthrones your field of work so that God’s glory would appear there.

3. On earth, peace among those on whom His favor rests (verse 14) – peace that came upon people no one expected (shepherds)

1) The astonishing glory and peace of God that came upon a person who was awake and praying

2) The Lord’s angel delivered the news first to shepherds, who were despised and not subject to paying taxes

▣ Conclusion_ Begin this prayer from now on.

1. Beginning the day – May the light of the throne, which is the light of God’s glory, come upon me.

2. Everywhere I think of, everywhere – May the glory of the Lord come upon it.

3. Restore the concentrated prayer that enjoys the secret of the antenna.

Thank you so much for such a gracious worship song. That truly wasn’t a choir but a worship team. Watching your faces as you worshiped like that, I prayed, and I received so much grace today. Lately I’ve noticed that Kang Hwa-jeong, Kim Kyung-mi, and others like them are originally good at worship. But this time I thought, “Why is Yoon So-hee like that?” – she is so good now. At this Remnant conference too, when I watched her worship, she was completely different, so I said, “Who is this?” This is because God gives great grace like this according to His timetable, following the seasons.

I’ve told you this story before. At Gwangju Airport, not many flights depart. Occasionally one departs like that. So there is a lot of waiting time there. I went into the lounge, the waiting room. There was one man sitting there, sleeping like he was about to fall over. So I sat down next to him. Since it was still a while before my flight, a young man came up. He kept waking the sleeping person. Looking at it, the two were friends. Watching them talk happily, it seemed they had met at the airport after a long time. I quietly listened to their conversation next to me. The young man who had been dozing said this: “Hey, you really do have a solid background, and since your father runs a good business, it looks like you’re doing well in business too. It looks so good and you seem to be doing so well.” He greeted him like that. He said he himself was having a very hard time. But surprisingly, this friend, who appeared to be doing well, said something amazing in response. He said no, that’s not it. He said he hadn’t received even a single bit of help from his father. He said he wanted to check how much he could do on his own. He said that from now on too, he would succeed in business without any help from his parents at all. This friend kept taking notes whenever he had time, and I noticed that whenever there was a pause in the conversation, he would doze off again.

Listening to these two friends talk, there was one thing that worried me. It was the future of that young person. Could such a person have a future? Even if he had one, he probably couldn’t manage it. He was thinking, “I met the wrong parents, so I’m suffering like this.” But there are also people who say, “I can do it without my parents’ help.”

▣ Introduction

1. Three things you must do

We finished the 25th Remnant Conference graciously. From now on, the Remnant must do three things. You must do them too. I told the Remnant this in the last session.

1) Take time for platform prayer (prayer at a fixed time).

If you open your eyes and rush around in a flurry, that will become your life. However you wake up, if you open your eyes thinking, “It’s too complicated, I have too many worries,” if you open your eyes thinking, “It’s too hard. Work is hard. Studying is hard,” what will happen? If you open your eyes and worries come first – “I don’t know what’s going on. I have to go but I’m out of it. I’m kind of busy” – what a difference there is between a person like that and the Remnant, who wake up with just a little more ease.

Start deep prayer that enjoys the power of the heavenly throne. Start prayer where you fully enjoy the power of God that exists in this universe. It’s fine even if it’s short. Now, if this continues, what happens? What kind of result would come from a person who continues in constant anxiety compared to a person who continues in the joy of enjoying the power of the throne? This is prayer at a fixed time, and it’s fine even if it’s short. The power of the throne begins to come upon me. Then many things come.

If I have a well, many people come to drink water. If I am building a big bridge, many people pass over that bridge. If I am filled with the power of God’s throne, everything comes to me. This is what is called a platform. A station, that’s what a platform means. An airport is a platform. If I can offer platform prayer spiritually, many things begin to come. Then, once I begin to see this power, I change. Things I used to think were difficult instead become opportunities. As I begin to taste and accumulate this power, I become even more humble. My capacity for study changes. You all studied by force, not having studied while receiving the power of the throne. It was so hard – your parents telling you, your teachers telling you, you studying with such difficulty. But I’m saying I have never studied while enjoying the power of the throne.

Pray to build a future platform. It’s simple. Just do it the moment you open your eyes. It’s even better to wake up with a bit more ease. It’s better to wake up early. I don’t really understand people who say they’re always late. I always finish preparing two hours ahead of time. I finish two hours in advance and then pray. Once you know how to pray, it’s so good. Have I ever left something behind when going abroad? That never happens. Two hours before, my bag is already packed. It’s prepared so that my assistants can just pick it up and go. Even the hotel towels are all organized. Why? Because I’m Korean. Why am I saying this? Take time for platform prayer. Then after that, you become busy. Then you forget to pray again, right? No.

2) The prayer of the watchman (bartizan) who gives God’s meaning to everything

The Remnant must remember this. Turn everything you see into the power of prayer. Turn studying into the power of prayer. There are difficult encounters. Turn them into the power of prayer. There are things that make you feel so frustrated. Turn them into the power of prayer. More importantly among these, give God’s meaning to everything. What does this mean? Why are you sitting here today? This is prayer within prayer. If there were a church today that absolutely must accomplish world evangelization, what response would God give? Right now, the very people who must hold the 237 Healing Summit are gathered here worshiping. You are worshiping with the Remnant right after finishing the Remnant Conference. You must find meaning to the point of feeling a thrill. If this is truly a church running God’s errand, a church that must save the whole world, how important is worship? Isn’t this the site of the Mark’s Upper Room? Isn’t this the site of Antioch? That’s right, isn’t it? Going further back, isn’t this exactly the Dothan movement? Isn’t this the Mizpah movement and the complete wilderness movement in that difficult wilderness? This is called the watchman’s prayer.

The watchman gives meaning to everything. Even during worship songs, today especially, I thought – wow, on such a special day, at this time when God is concluding the Remnant Conference, we are worshiping. What kind of worship is this? How would it look in God’s eyes? As I prayed while listening to this worship song, all of your faces looked just like angels. I never thought you all were unattractive before, but today especially, you all looked completely like angels. This is the watchman’s bartizan prayer.

Remnant, don’t miss this. You must not miss this. You need to know there is a world of difference between a person who becomes discouraged at the field, fights at the field, and falls at the field, and a person who finds God’s amazing secret at the field. I have a lot of dealings like this. In the middle of praying, I meet people at the field and talk like this: “Many people call this a scam right now. Don’t try to scam me. I’ll help you. Let’s accomplish God’s important plan.” Most people understand and give up and leave. How many such things do we have? Go outside, Remnant, and see. How many such things you will face. You know, this word “watchtower,” the word “watch” means to keep watching over something. The Remnant has no time to be discouraged or to be proud. You must begin the watchman’s prayer from now.

3) Concentrated prayer in the name of Christ and the power of the throne over one problem

This is the third and final one. There will come times when an absolute answer must be found. There will be times when a problem comes and you ask, “Why on earth is this happening to me?” There will be times when you ask, “What on earth should I do about this?” Or there may be times of sickness. This is the prayer for such times. Try concentrated prayer in the name of Christ and the power of the throne over one problem. Let me give an example. Jesus gathered His disciples on Mt Olive and did concentrated prayer for 40 days. This is not repetition. It is concentration. It is not duplication. It is concentration. You must do this prayer during worship. Try experiencing it. You must do this prayer after worship ends. Some people are in a hurry to run away after worship ends. You must pray after worship ends. There have been times when I have said, “I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ” for a full hour – concentrated prayer. That is a special occasion. Other times, even while looking at my phone, I pray blessing over God. It is such a grace. Something is bound to happen.

2. The fundamental response of the throne that follows

1) Israel became a subjugated nation because it missed this fact

The Remnant must firmly grasp this. If you do, the fundamental response of the throne comes, just as today’s title says. Israel missed this fact. Most people miss it. This is why the nation of Israel has completely become a subjugated nation, even now.

2) Jesus was born at the time when all the people were registering their household and paying taxes

The greatest tyrant appeared. There were 12 tyrants in Israel. Among them, this was the era of the greatest tyrant. He gave the command, “All the peoples in every region must register their household.” This was a special registration done once every four years. “Go and register your household.” So it wasn’t that they went up to register Jesus. Everyone had to register. But at that time, Jesus had already been conceived. Why do you think this is? Why did he command the household registration? There is only one answer. Rome was ruling the entire world at that time. Every four years, they had to register their household and pay taxes. That’s the key. Having grasped the world with overwhelming power, all the people had to register their household and pay taxes. It was at that time that Jesus was born. Looking at it today, “Jesus was born” – “what kind of setting was this” – He already knew everything. You don’t need to know the details, but this is not just a Christmas story.

3. Understanding about Jesus

Why did Christ come at this time? If you interpret it that way, an answer comes out, but there is something you must always know when you read the Bible. If you don’t have this understanding about Jesus, even if you have studied the Bible a lot, it has nothing to do with getting an answer. There are four points.

1) Christ who has existed from eternity past – resolving past problems (Genesis 3:15, Exodus 3:18)

Jesus existed from eternity past. That is why, in that name, the head of Satan was crushed in Genesis 3:15. And in the name of Jesus Christ, they came out of Egypt when they offered the blood sacrifice. Right? Do you understand this? If you don’t understand, you cannot solve spiritual problems. “Why does my family have three mentally ill people? Why has such a curse come upon our house?” This is not a curse. You just don’t know why it happened. You don’t know at all because you don’t understand spiritual matters. You must remember this.

That’s why the Jews were told this by Jesus: “Abraham believed in Me and was saved.” Now, do you understand? They got furious and said, “How old do you think you are?” If they didn’t know that He was the Christ who had existed from eternity past, how could they resolve past problems?

2) Christ who was incarnated – He came clothed in a human body

This means Christ came clothed in a human body, incarnated.

3) Christ who was resurrected – we now pray in that name

What do we pray with now? We pray in the name of the resurrected Christ. Right?

4) Christ who will come again as the returning Lord – our background

What kind of background do we have? We pray in the name of Christ who will come again as the returning Lord. This is extremely important.

So when was Jesus born? People fight a lot over the date, but while it matters, it’s not what’s important. Whether December 25 is Jesus’s actual birthday or not matters, but it’s not important at all. It’s written that Jesus shone the light of glory today. Now, since Jesus was about to be born, there was no inn, no place to go. Since it was urgent, they had gone to register their household. So they went to the manger. In simple terms, they went into a stable because it was urgent. The baby was born, but since there was nowhere to wrap Him in swaddling clothes and lay Him down, they laid Him in the manger where the horses eat their food. That night, a powerful light shone there. The angels of the Lord appeared and spoke. They spoke to the shepherds. The shepherds trembled greatly. Because they trembled so much, the angel said, “Do not be afraid. The Savior who will bring good news to all the world has come.”

▣ Main_ The prayer that must be taught to the Remnant

Today, the prayer you must absolutely teach the Remnant comes out of today’s text.

1. The joy to be proclaimed to all people (verse 10) – this light has appeared.

First. The joy to be proclaimed to all people. This light has appeared.

1) When Christ came, the angel of the Lord stood beside them and the glory of the Lord shone around (verse 9).

What happened when Christ came? In verse 9, it says, “The angel of the Lord stood beside them and the glory of the Lord shone around.” Do you know this light? If this light does not shine upon you, we can only die in all darkness and disaster. It says, “The light shone.” The Remnant must take hold of this. All believers must have this blessing. The number of people afflicted by the disease of darkness will keep increasing in this world. Something must happen – a remarkable event of light shining – for revival to come.

2) The Messiah born in a stable as prophesied (verse 12) – meaning it is a place anyone, everyone can go. God came so that all nations could see the light.

Today it says “Bethlehem.” Micah 5:2 prophesied He would be born in Bethlehem. At that time it says, “with the angel of the Lord” in verse 13. It says, “laid in a manger.” Right? This was already prophesied in Isaiah 49:7.

But that isn’t the important point. What must you firmly grasp here today? The spiritually blind Pharisees with poor discernment said, “How can that person be the Messiah? No, he isn’t.” They didn’t know the Scriptures. “How could the Messiah be born in a stable?” It was prophesied. So no matter how much you hear the Bible, if your spiritual eyes are dim, you don’t understand the Scriptures. If Jesus had been born in a royal palace, what would have happened? That would be fake. Though it may not be you, this is how many believers see it. Born in a royal palace? Then that person must be the Messiah! Isn’t that how they practice their faith? “Who do I think I am?” – haven’t you said that? If Jesus had been born into some tremendous priestly family – “That’s right! It must be like that!” God completely hid this from the eyes of humans held captive by the devil and had Him born in a stable exactly as prophesied.

Do you know what this means? A place anyone, everyone can go. How does today’s Scripture put it? Shining light on all nations, shining light on all people. This blessing must come to you as a spiritual blessing, and your eyes must be opened to it. If you see it this way, it is completely different. It’s completely different, I tell you. Did Israel become slaves in Egypt, or did God send them there? You must interpret this correctly. Right? Did Egypt oppress Israel? Did God cause them to be oppressed? He caused them to be oppressed. In order to shine light. So they wouldn’t remain in darkness, since eating well in darkness isn’t really eating well, since living well in darkness isn’t really living well – because it was a disaster, He sent them as slaves and as captives. Right? You must quickly catch on to the Bible. Those Jews who claim to have such great faith, in my view, have faith like kindergartners, kindergartners. They completely forgot the Scripture. It was clearly prophesied. You must remember this.

3) When you go out into the world, it looks like nothing at all, but God’s plan is contained within it. The real thing is found within Nobody, within Nothing.

The Remnant must always remember this. If you don’t know this, you will fall away when you go out into the world. When you go out into the world, it looks like nothing at all, but God’s plan is contained within it. Remember this. In fact, where things seem most brilliant, there is much falsehood. The real thing is found within Nobody, and within Nothing is where the real thing is found. Remnant, remember this. Even if you end up in a wasteland or fall into crisis, don’t worry. Everything is there. Why did He do it this way? Jesus said this. In Matthew 13, “Why do you speak in parables?” “I spoke in parables so that they would not understand. You were given parables to understand.” If a con artist in the world thought, “Oh, if I believe in Jesus and evangelize, I’ll be blessed,” and understood this, wouldn’t that be terrible? It has to be made so they don’t understand. Right? That’s why this occasionally becomes an issue. If a con artist thought, “I’ll become a pastor and scam people,” that would be very easy to exploit. Right? It would be so easy to exploit. God blocked that. You must open your eyes and see this properly.

I know this is hard to understand, but let me give one more example. I’m not saying success is bad. I’ve told you before. When the Roman emperor repented, all the nations under Rome repented as well. That was fake repentance. From that point, the gospel began to disappear. Kings go to church. Ministers go to church. Soldiers go to church. Business people go. Politicians go. People who need votes go. Is that where talented people should gather? That was the beginning of the downfall. Don’t worry. It is written that God came so that all nations could see the light.

2. Glory to God in the highest (verse 14) – Christ came to give the light of glory from the throne.

Second. Christ came to give you the light of glory from the throne. Why is that? It says, “Glory to God in the highest.” There is no greater blessing than this for you. God’s glory appearing is the greatest blessing there is. This light of glory shone. What blessing could be greater than this? Many people think blessings mean longevity, then health, wealth, honor, and children. That is absolutely not so. It is what a person who has received blessing must possess. What is true blessing? If a person who hasn’t received it possesses those things, that becomes a curse, a curse. “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will save all the people.”

1) He enthrones you.

Then the second point came out. “Glory to God in the highest” means He enthrones you. Right? There is no greater answer than that.

2) He enthrones our church.

God’s glory that enthrones our church.

3) He enthrones your field of work so that God’s glory would appear there.

What else? He has promised the blessing that He will enthrone the field where you work so that God’s glory will come upon it.

Remnant, remember this. You go out to shine with the true light that God gives. Remnant, don’t be deceived, pray these three prayers, I tell you. Pray the platform, the watchtower, the antenna. He is saying He will be with you with the light of heavenly glory that the world cannot give, that can only heal the world.

3. On earth, peace among those on whom His favor rests (verse 14) – peace that came upon people no one expected (shepherds)

The third and final point. What did it say? “Peace on earth to those on whom His favor rests.” What is this peace? It is peace that came upon people no one expected.

1) The astonishing glory and peace of God that came upon a person who was awake and praying

Look carefully at the Scripture. Why did it come upon the shepherds? This meaning is significant. Everyone was asleep. It came upon the shepherds. The shepherds were not asleep. God’s amazing glory and peace comes upon a person who is awake and praying.

2) The Lord’s angel delivered the news first to shepherds, who were despised and not subject to paying taxes

Also, shepherds did not pay taxes. They were not subject to taxation. In a sense, they were despised people. The Lord’s angel delivered the news first to those shepherds.

▣ Conclusion_ Begin this prayer from now on.

If you put together everything you’ve heard today, it is exactly what was said in the introduction.

1. Beginning the day – May the light of the throne, which is the light of God’s glory, come upon me.

Begin this prayer. Start this prayer from now. This was called “the light of glory.” When you begin your day, Remnant, just five minutes, even without time it’s fine. An hour would be even better – “May the light of the throne, which is God’s glory, come upon me.” It doesn’t even take any time.

2. Everywhere I think of, everywhere – May the glory of the Lord come upon it.

From that point, your prayer immediately changes. How does it change? Everywhere you think of, the glory of the Lord; everywhere you see, the glory of the Lord. Today’s worship is the site of Mizpah, the site of Dothan, the site of the Mark’s Upper Room. May that power come upon me. And when you go out from here, “I will absolutely take hold of one promise and pray for one week.” You must firmly grasp that and go out. See when the answer comes. Something is bound to happen.

3. Restore the concentrated prayer that enjoys the secret of the antenna.

I don’t know if it’s still there, but when I was young there was a place called “Mucheoksan Prayer Center” in Busan. I was surprised there – there wasn’t even a road, you had to walk up. They said they only treated people with mental illness, so I thought there would be many mentally ill patients, but when I went, there were none. When I got there, there was only one person, one. The director, one person, and that one patient. There I saw someone truly praying. If you’re running a “prayer center,” you’d think you need to have many people come, right? This person said no. I learned a great deal. I said, “Director, since there’s no road, I walked here,” and he said there was no need for people to come. “Is that so?” “I live off the mountain here, so I have no worries about how to make a living. I truly need to help someone who is sick.” That was it. That’s right. One person. He held onto that one person and truly watched over them 24 hours a day in prayer. I thought at first, “That must be hard,” but that wasn’t it – seeing the situation there and seeing God’s power appearing in that person, I thought, “Wow, this person is truly praying in faith.” That was a long time ago. He has probably passed away by now.

You must restore the concentrated prayer that enjoys the secret of this antenna. This is what you must teach the Remnant. Try holding onto this. An answer that no one in your life could understand will come. I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus that this week, all Remnant and all believers would begin to experience this power. Let us pray.

God, we thank You. Let true peace begin in us. Let the true light of glory come upon us. Let a true meeting with Christ take place. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Summary

As we begin building the temple, we must first find out about prayer. A person who truly knows prayer actually needs no answer.

Authority of the air ← throne → the kingdom (work) – We must enjoy the blessing of the throne in order to overcome those who hold the authority of the air. Only then can we accomplish God’s kingdom and its work.

Set-time prayer, worship 24 25, 00 – Before it becomes 24, it comes out as 40 days, three months, three weeks like this. Time was set and prayer was made. This is how worship comes alive. When worship comes alive, it becomes the 24 prayer that enjoys throne power. From this point, the fundamental power is restored, so healing happens automatically. Fundamental healing comes down from above. Then 25, eternity comes.

This is the standard for prayer. If this is not achieved, one’s life of faith practically does not work. When you enjoy this blessing, you yourself know that spiritual power is present. Even your words are different.

Three courtyards x, fleshly things, 3-organization teaching – The first, second, and third temples closed for three reasons. It was because they did not enjoy spiritual blessing and only continued in fleshly things. It was because they followed the teachings of the three organizations.

“Church of Resurrection” – At this time Christ resurrected and gave an important message. So we must build the church of resurrection.

▣ Introduction_ What are we to restore?
1. Three courtyards, 24 facilities – the three courtyards must have 24 facilities
2. Main role facility – there must be a facility where multi-ethnic people, the objects of healing, and Remnants become the main players
3. 24 System – the system is people. Building the mission office and bartizan for every elder
1) multi-ethnic people 2) the sick 3) Elite – RT
The church where these come and gain strength

▣ Main_ Church of Resurrection
1. Church enjoying 3·9·3 – the church that enjoys the blessing of the Triune God and the throne, and the power that saves the past, today, the future, me, the church, and the field
1) Christ before eternity
2) Christ incarnate
3) Christ resurrected
4) Christ who will stand as the returning Lord

2. Evidence – He gave three things.
1) All the world – all nations (v.17) – Studies, work, and church will be given as much evidence as needed to proclaim the gospel while going to all the world, to all nations.
2) The world – signs (v.17-18) – In order to save the world, He will perform signs unheard of in the world to protect you (casting out demons, new tongues, serpents, poison, healing).
3) Proclamation – the throne (v.20) – As they preached everywhere, the Lord who sits on the throne worked.

3. What will save the age
1) Rome, holding to a covenant one century behind
2) The Pharisees and the traditional church, holding to a covenant two centuries behind
3) Jesus, who spoke of an age ahead – reaching all nations and the ends of the earth is possible through the blessing of the throne
▷ Why only Christ must be explained. Our final mission is to revive the churches closing their doors around the world.

[Throne]

This year, as we begin building the temple, there is something we must first know. You must first seek to find out well about prayer. You must first find out that this is prayer. A person who truly knows prayer actually needs no answer. When the answer comes, you simply enjoy it – enjoying this (throne) blessing is prayer.

[24]

This is how prayer becomes. You may have some illness or something like that, but before that, you must first enjoy this (throne, 24) blessing.

Authority of the air

Only by enjoying the blessing of the throne can you overcome the one who holds the authority of the air. Scripture speaks of this.

Kingdom (work)

Only then can you accomplish God’s kingdom and its work. This is a true answer.

Set-time prayer, worship

Now, what comes before 24? Something like 40 days, or something like three months, or something like three weeks comes out like this. That was setting a time and praying. This is how worship comes alive. When your worship begins to come alive, then you become the 24 prayer that enjoys throne power. From this point, healing – actually you did not pray, but healing happens. Why? Because the fundamental power is restored. For treatment, you go to a doctor. You do as the doctor instructs. But fundamental healing comes down from above (the throne). Even doctors who are truly doctors have said this. “We are not the ones who heal; God heals, and we only help.” That’s what they’ve said.

25, 00

When this (24) happens, then this (25, 00) comes to you. The standard for prayer is this (throne, 24). So if you do not know this [authority of the air ← [throne] → kingdom (work), set-time prayer/worship [24] 25, 00] section, then in reality your life of faith is not working properly. Then you yourself know it, and others know it too. When you enjoy this blessing, no matter what anyone says, you have spiritual power. You already know it yourself. Not out of pride or boasting, but simply being so thankful to God – those who enjoy this blessing even spoke differently. All seven Remnants in Babylon said this too. “It’s fine even if we die.” They said this. “We are fine even if we die. Only God’s glory matters. We are fine.” Becoming such a person [authority of the air ← [throne] → kingdom (work), set-time prayer/worship [24] 25, 00] means truly knowing prayer. Those words come out because you are actually experiencing that power. If you have no strength, you cannot say such words. Isn’t that right? If you are very weak and in difficulty, and facing death, you would say “Save me,” not “It’s fine even if I die.” That doesn’t come out. This blessing has already gone to 24, 25, 00, right now.

Now, we intend to build the church, and we absolutely need an answer to prayer, but then why did the first, second, and third temples close their doors? We must know this. They closed, didn’t they? Simply put, the first temple is the temple people call Solomon’s temple. David prepared it, but Solomon built it, so it’s called Solomon’s temple like this. The second temple is the one built after returning from Babylon, led by Zerubbabel, so it’s called the Zerubbabel temple. After that, as Rome’s vassal states arose, a king who flattered Rome in order to please Rome became king – that was King Herod. So this King Herod researched how to receive blessing, what method would best win the hearts of the people. So he tore down the Zerubbabel temple and began building the Herodian temple. “Money isn’t needed.” Since he was king himself, “I will do it.” That’s how it happened. The people would have been overjoyed. “Wow, a temple is being built,” they said. So how long did it take to build? To receive glory for a long, long time, it would need to take a long time, right? It was built over 46 years. Some historians say “it actually took over 60 years,” but Scripture says 46 years. That very temple is the temple Jesus cursed.

[Three courtyards x]

Why did it disappear? We need to know this. There were no three courtyards. That is an unnecessary temple. Let’s talk about this later. Whether we truly have this.

[Fleshly things]

Furthermore, in addition to lacking the three courtyards, they continued without enjoying spiritual blessing and only continued in fleshly things. You, you are already destined to overcome fleshly things. Right? You need spiritual power. This prayer that restores and enjoys this must be completely restored this time. This much would be fine.

[3-organization teaching]

The church is following the teachings given by three organizations. It’s laughable. Since pastors don’t know the field of evangelism, many books from the three organizations have come out, and they read those and preach. They themselves don’t even know. So God says the churches in America are unnecessary. God says to close the doors of European churches. We must quickly realize this. This (three courtyards x, fleshly things, 3-organization teaching) is an unnecessary church, this. If you open your eyes, you will truly see the work of God who moves heaven, earth, sea, and all nations. The power of the throne. So this (three courtyards x, fleshly things, 3-organization teaching) is what God has removed.

“Church of Resurrection”

At this time Christ resurrected and gave an important message. He gave instructions for how we should act going forward. So we must build this church of resurrection.

▣ Introduction

Now, since we must restore this (three courtyards x, fleshly things, 3-organization teaching), what does it mean to restore something? You must remember this.

1. Three courtyards, 24 facilities

Do you understand what the three courtyards means? The three courtyards must have 24 facilities. The first, second, and third temples had three courtyards. They existed, but these people used them for other purposes. Right?

2. Main role facility

What’s more important is that the three courtyards are exactly the 237 Healing Summit, aren’t they? Right? As for the three courtyards – what these courtyards must become, what facility is needed – truly there must be a facility where multi-ethnic people, the objects of healing, and Remnants become the main players. Even if 24 exists, if they are not the main players, it does not work. Simply put, what I am asking our church right now is – I told the 237 team, “If foreign guests come, eat together with them on Sunday. Bring up the list.” Looking at what’s come up since last week, half are Russians in our church. So how should we plan? Those people are not yet the main players of our church. They just come and are present. Right? This is very important. Churches that understand this are in some sense lacking facilities, aren’t they? We can build this even now if we just open our eyes.

3. 24 System

Also important – while facilities are important, all are important, but this 24 system must exist. The system is actually the people who can accomplish this (Introduction points 1, 2, 3). So we build the mission office for every elder. Do you understand? Not construction, not simple construction, but building your bartizan. You must remember this. You don’t need to pray for business either. God will pour into your business. If I already worry about the level of business and pray about that, that’s actually not a good thing. Right? Since I came to understand evangelism, I have never once served as director of evangelism. To do that itself already means not understanding evangelism. Right? Watch and see. As we build this system, the churches we are building now in Busan and Seoul, the churches doing dahn-rak-bahng, will grow even while sitting still. If a child is normal, they grow even while sitting still, as long as they are properly fed. But wherever there is illness, no matter how much you feed them, it doesn’t work.

What kind of 24 system are we talking about?

1) Multi-ethnic people

A system where multi-ethnic people genuinely hear the word and say, “Ah, let’s go to Immanuel Church. Our path to life is there.” This system must exist.

2) The sick

A system where the sick go and feel extremely comfortable, truly more comfortable than being in their own home. This kind of system is needed.

3) Elite – RT

A church where elites and Remnants from the whole world and the whole nation come and gain strength.

This (Introduction) must exist, that’s what I’m saying. This is not a dream, nor is it difficult; if this happens, it becomes far easier. Right?

Now, would it be easier for Remnants to come to church, watch out for others’ reactions, and just listen to sermons and leave? Or would it be easier for them to come, find their own system, become the main players who gain strength, and enjoy it themselves there? Which would be easier? Already all the churches in Korea have those important multi-ethnic people coming and having to watch out and figure things out themselves. They watch out, stay a while, and leave. Already, if young people mainly come, then on Sundays a perfect system for caring for those children must be built within the church. It’s not difficult. That is multi-ethnic missions, that is your 237 missions, that is the lay ministry we do.

I told you before – how many decades ago was it when I was a college student? Whenever I moved as an evangelist within the Hialeah base inside the US military base, I would go there and worship. When was that? Wasn’t it decades ago? Even then, that church had only one sanctuary. With only one, at the entrance as you came in, they already had everything set up comfortably for coming in for tea, coffee, and things like that. As soon as you entered. Because it was a church within that base, they couldn’t get many facilities. But there was only one sanctuary. And I was surprised – during the regular worship service, on Sunday during worship time, the little children would all come out in a row. Nursery and kindergarten-age children who could barely walk would come out, and the pastor would give a certain remark, like this. A blessing remark. One time it was quite entertaining – his stomach became bulging like this. The pastor had put something inside like that. He showed it by pulling it out dramatically in front of the children. Looking closely, inside a secret envelope was snow from the previous week, snow that had fallen yesterday, that he had collected and was showing them like this. And he talked about how our sins too are washed white as snow, something like that. Then he gave a blessing prayer. The children received the prayer and then lined up and left in a row. So I watched to see where they were going, and there was a room where they gathered. One teacher was standing by waiting there. That was done every week. So the children were already following in an orderly fashion. That already meant they had already prepared this together with the children. We truly don’t know what our real task is. What should I do? This is truly astonishing. We must do 24 (Introduction). Simply put, when they come, when Russians already make up half of our church, among the congregation, during worship – shouldn’t we make it possible for those people to worship wholeheartedly? That is possible even now. What a great opportunity this is? Aren’t there many churches that emphasize the gospel where people can properly hear the gospel after coming to Korea? They must properly hear the gospel, be transformed, and go. We have the content for such a church, but if we build the facilities well, it becomes much easier, that’s what I’m saying. There will be few such places. I am confident of this. If you hold onto this covenant, God is bound to pour out blessing. Even without needing to pour it out, He will pour it out. Before your life ends, God will work in such a way that you can testify, “How has God blessed my business with this economy of light?”

What does the Church of Resurrection have?

▣ Main

1. Church enjoying 3·9·3

It means becoming a church that enjoys the blessing of the Triune God and the throne, and the blessing of the three ages that saves the past, today, the future, me, and the field church. That is a church that enjoys this blessing. Why? Because Jesus resurrected and spoke this. Then we must enjoy it. Setting aside everything the resurrected Lord said and instead gathering and following what others have said – there’s no reason to do that, is there? Right? Ah, right now setting aside everything our parents told us and firmly holding onto and following what some passing beggar happened to say – that would be strange, wouldn’t it? That’s right.

1) Christ before eternity

Christ before eternity.

2) Christ incarnate

Christ who became incarnate. That is all proven.

3) Christ resurrected

Christ who resurrected.

4) Christ as returning Lord

Christ who will stand as returning Lord in the future. To be exact, rather than Christ who will come as returning Lord, it’s more precise to say Christ who will stand as returning Lord. This is the church that enjoys and proclaims this blessing.

2. Evidence

What’s second? What the resurrected Lord of this church of resurrection gave as a message gave us three pieces of evidence.

1) All the world – all nations (17)

What did He give? “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nations.” Your studies, business, and church will be given as much evidence as needed to testify the gospel to all nations while going throughout all the world.

2) The world – signs

The second piece of evidence. To save the world, He said He would give signs unseen in the world, naming five things. What are they? “In my name they will cast out demons.” Second, “they will speak new tongues.” Third, “they will pick up serpents, and even if they drink any poison, they will not die, and when they lay hands on the sick, they will be healed.” What is this? It means He will perform signs to protect you. Picking up serpents – does this mean we go around catching snakes? Even if bitten by a snake, it’s fine. It means He will protect you. Do we need to deliberately drink poison? It means He will protect you even if you drink it. If you lay your hands on the sick, they will be healed.

3) Proclamation – the throne

Then what happens? It says that as they preached everywhere, the Lord who sat on the throne worked. Again, it’s the throne. This is the content that the church of resurrection must have and enjoy. The evidence of resurrection that will happen to you, the evidence of the church that enjoys it.

3. The age

More importantly, “into all the world, to all nations” – this is the same as what Jesus said in Acts chapter 1 about “the ends of the earth,” right? He was speaking about saving the age. It’s not simply about evangelizing and healing the sick – it’s about saving the age.

1) 1st century

Rome right now holds to a covenant one century behind. They have this outdated thinking: “We will dominate all those many nations.”

2) 2nd century

The Jews who served them and the traditional church have thinking two centuries behind. Right?

3) The age ahead

Today Jesus spoke of an age beyond imagination. Were there cell phones? Were there airplanes? There was nothing, yet He said, “Go into all the world and proclaim to all nations.” This is beyond imagination. “Go to every tribe. Go to the ends of the earth.” This is why, without God’s blessing of the throne, it is impossible. The blessing of the throne makes it possible. But up until now, the world church has missed this entirely and holds only to fleshly things. They even follow the example of unbelievers. “Nothing is impossible.” Why is nothing impossible? If nothing were impossible, why send Jesus Christ? Then God wouldn’t be needed. “If you try, it happens.” “You can do it.” These are comforting words to someone who has lost strength, but they cannot truly conquer the world. Why only Christ? This must be explained. Because without this,

the church naturally must close its doors. Our final mission is to revive the churches closing their doors around the world. Building a church building is basic; we must revive churches worldwide. That is what your business/industry is for.

▣ Conclusion

Today when Jesus resurrected, what did He do? He rebuked. In verse 14 today, “He rebuked the disciples for their unbelief and hardness of heart.” He said this. Why? Because He had prophesied that He would resurrect. It was prophesied even in the Old Testament. Jesus said it directly. Yet they did not believe. Naturally, since such a thing had never happened, they did not believe. That is what Jesus rebuked.

1. Servants – church leaders

This is the great covenant that you, the Lord’s servants and elders, must hold. You must remember this.

1) 12

Why twelve tribes and twelve apostles?

2) 70

Why did the Old Testament have 70 elders and the New Testament 70 disciples?

This is the blessing you must hold onto. Right now all the Lord’s servants must look toward the 12 worldwide dioceses that oversee the world, and elders must find the blessing of 70 regions, 70 nations, and 70 industries. With the power of the throne.

Once the building is complete, elders should each designate one nation, and starting now call Remnants to study that nation’s language, and this must begin now. Our nation must prepare from now. Of course, I already said this at the Remnant leaders’ retreat yesterday. From now, you all – already from middle school, from a young age – must perfectly master one nation’s language. You must call those people and have them serve. So once the building is complete, an elder must take the Remnant who speaks that nation’s language and call those disciples, and fully train them to move the 70-disciple movement. Otherwise these people all end up doing things only outwardly and leave. What can we do? Can you lay out everything before us? No. You cannot lay out the wounds, the past things, the imprinted things they carry. Then world evangelization cannot happen either. We must truly build the temple that God needs on this earth.

2. The seven-fold journey

And what else? When these disciples come, what must all our members do for them? They must help them walk the seven-fold journey. Wherever they go, whether multi-ethnic people or our Remnants and members come with God. The Triune God. Ten secrets. I spoke about this at today’s cell group lesson. Ten footholds, nine flows, five assurances, lifelong answer, and prayer. Realizing that prayer – this is the seven-fold journey. This must be given to them.

3. The upper room (20 strategies)

And what else? The root of the 20 evangelism strategies in Scripture is the upper room. If the upper room is done properly, the 20 strategies emerge. Take this and build it out. This is happening even now. You must believe it.

Remnants, don’t think about receiving an answer. If you are truly praying, even now this (throne) work will happen and something that changes the age for your whole life will emerge.

Who are you? Elders and church leaders must not reach the point of worrying about business or money. You must quickly enter into this (24). Already reaching that point means you’ve already missed many things. Right? “Ah, times are difficult these days…” That’s not true. Those who truly succeed earn during hard times. “Oh no, because of the IMF crisis I went bankrupt…” – but the people I truly know who made money, made it all during the IMF crisis.

I said this immediately at the time. Someone said, “Pastor, because of the IMF, that building in Gangseo area of Seoul came out cheap. We should buy it.” “Should we?” I asked, but the people under me hesitated, so we left it. Now that’s worth hundreds of millions. Someone with clear eyes bought it. They bought it cheap. So that person said, “We made money during the IMF.” That makes sense, doesn’t it?

If you have this ability, difficulty becomes opportunity the more it comes. Isn’t that right? If we have no strength, when difficulty comes we simply suffer it. It’s unjust. We cannot live like that and fail to save unbelievers. We must save unbelievers. Now we must restore this. You must firmly hold the covenant. “Heaven and earth and sea and the nations will shake.” Through you, your family line will be saved, and now those dying nations that only know how to eat must be saved. When one foreigner comes, you must see that as their last chance. Treating them well is necessary, but that’s not the main point. They must find the real thing and go back. What is that? Ultimately, they must find this (the conclusion) and go back. Only then will that person go and save others. The Holy Spirit will make this known to you within this week. I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ to enter into this [authority of the air ← [throne] → kingdom (work), set-time prayer/worship [24] 25, 00] blessing where you receive a true answer. Let us pray.

 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached, ⁴³ Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. ⁴⁴ Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. ⁴⁵ When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. ⁴⁶ So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. ⁴⁷ Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where he was laid.

Summary

▣ Introduction

We want to live our life of faith well, and we also want to receive answers to prayer, but we do not know well the method by which we receive answers. How do we receive answers? There is exactly one method.

1. Find God’s absolute plan and be within it.

1) Moses’ mother
When all the children were about to be killed, she found God’s absolute plan.

2) Joseph
In the situation where his brothers tried to kill him and then sold him, Joseph found God’s absolute plan.

3) Jesse
He saw God’s absolute plan to the extent of sending David on an errand in the midst of war.

2. The worst situation in history

The worst situation in history occurred. They put the crucifixion, meant only for the guilty, on Jesus who was without any sin, and executed him on the cross. And they completely decided that those who followed Jesus were heretics. So they cruelly nailed Jesus to the cross and killed him.

1) The figure who appeared at this time was Joseph of Arimathea
At this time Joseph of Arimathea came before the judge and requested Jesus’ body.

2) Joseph of Arimathea
Joseph of Arimathea is described as a respected figure and a member of the Council. He held leadership and a high position like a member of our country’s National Assembly. Such a person came forward and said he would hold Jesus’ funeral.

3. Joseph of Arimathea, who did what has happened only once in history

Very important secrets for receiving answers to prayer come out here.

1) He made his request within a window of only three days, in a timetable of eternity
It was something that happens only once in history, and even within the timetable called eternity, the opportunity was only three days. This is what he requested.

2) He provided the beginning of the right temple
Jesus took up a whip when he saw the Jews who had blocked the three courtyards. At that time Jesus said, “My house is the Lord’s house of prayer. It is a house of prayer for all peoples. You have turned it into a den of robbers.” And he went on to say, “I can tear down this temple and build it in three days. I will die and rise again from the tomb in three days. That is exactly what the temple is.”
The person who provided this tomb was Joseph of Arimathea. In fact, this is where the truest temple in the nation of Israel began.

▣ Main

We must learn today the three things about Joseph of Arimathea. What kind of faith is this?

1. A first in the history of Israel (Nobody)

1) Verse 43, “one who was waiting for the kingdom of God.”
He went boldly, indeed audaciously, risking death. He asked that Jesus’ body be given to him so it could be buried here. This was a complete challenge into Nobody. Do this.

2) One who was waiting for the kingdom of God
(1) Genesis 3:15 — this means he knew that what is spoken of in Genesis chapter 3, verse 15, would be fulfilled.
(2) Exodus 3:18 — this means he knew that on the day the blood of the lamb was applied in the time of Moses, Israel was set free. It means he knew that word.
(3) Isaiah 7:14 — this means he knew that when they were carried off captive to Babylon, a virgin would conceive, Immanuel. It means he knew that word.
(4) John 2:13-22 — Jesus spoke strongly only this one time. It means he knew the incident where the whip was thrown.

2. Something that exists nowhere else (Nothing)

1) A funeral that remains forever in history, that will be remembered for all time
It was the Sabbath, a day when nothing was permitted to be done. And because he had died bearing the false accusation of being a heretic and being treated as a criminal, no one came forward. Here, the respected council member Joseph of Arimathea gave to Jesus his own tomb cut into the rock, the kind that kings and nobles were placed in.

2) Verse 46, “bought some linen cloth, took down the body, and wrapped it”
And he took the body down and wrapped it in fine linen with his own hands. Linen was originally the fabric used for the clothing worn by the priests, the Levites. And the curtain of the tabernacle was linen. More importantly, what wrapped around the outer fence of the tabernacle was also linen. With this he wrapped Jesus’ body.

3) The historic empty tomb
Jesus rose from this tomb. Just as he had said. Put simply, a historic empty tomb was made. This is the temple that is eternally the witness.

(1) 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”
(2) 1 Corinthians 15:20, “the firstfruits”
This statement carries tremendous meaning. “Now that he has risen, Christ is keeping and protecting the church.” “Christ, with the same blessing by which he can raise the dead like many bones, is present and at work even now.”

3. The tomb is exactly three courtyards

More importantly, this place is exactly three courtyards.

1) The courtyard of the Gentiles
Later, this tomb where Jesus rose became a memorial, and the Gentiles came to visit it.

2) The courtyard of prayer
People who find it hard to speak in front of others, people who are struggling greatly, come here to pray. The tomb itself is not an idol, but they go and pray in front of it.

3) The courtyard of the children
As the ages go on, more and more, people come to learn many things there.

▣ Conclusion

Build a church that has never existed in history. Make your work an artwork that has never existed in history. How do you make it? Go by way of nobody, by way of nothing. This tomb was completely turned into the temple. Make it happen that all that you have chosen turns into a history in which it becomes a temple that testifies of Christ. Take hold of this covenant.

You must set your prayer topics precisely in order to receive an answer. Only then can you produce a 237, healing, summit church that even now, nobody could achieve, that even now has never existed until this time, by way of nobody and nothing.

For three years starting in 1988, we carried out evangelism here. Even though we were down in a basement, more than a thousand disciples gathered. And so requests for training came from here and there, and people also came here to be trained. That was from around 1991. In the 1990s, before 2000 came around, honestly, every answer to prayer came. At that time, the first place I went was the Gyeonggi-do Immanuel Retreat Center in Seoul. I did training there, and ran a seminary there too. I once went to see that director. I said to him, “Sell this prayer center to me.” That’s what I said. This man, who had prayed a great deal and thought it over for quite a while, ended up selling it to someone else. Because there was a buyer offering more money, he sold it to them. And that day he looked at me and kept apologizing, and even gave a mission offering. But now, twenty years later, that prayer center has become our Immanuel Seoul Church. Also, in the 1990s, likewise, when we took our children to train them, we had no place to go. There was just one building called the Deokpyeong Retreat Center. We began training at Deokpyeong Retreat Center, and there, the director told us to buy it from him and look. So we bought it. That is now our RUTC. God answers precisely, that’s how it is.

The church grew, but when the Spirit came in, there was no place. We had no land. When people came down after Reserve Forces training, they would come down this way. I asked, “Is there a road that way too?” and it turned out there was a factory there. I found out there was indeed a way down to it. So I went down there with them. “Oh, there’s a factory here!” I said. It turned out this had once been a famous shamanistic site, and a factory had been built by purchasing it. At that time I thought, “Oh, if we made this into a church, it would be really good.” Because there was no land in Yeongdo. And then one day, we ended up buying it. God gave us many answers, and he gave them at exactly the right time.

▣ Introduction

We say, “We want to live our life of faith well. We also want to receive answers.” But we do not know well the method for receiving answers. Today you must find it without fail.

1. Find God’s absolute plan and be within it.

How do you receive an answer? When I am facing extreme difficulty, how do I receive an answer? There is exactly one method. It is finding God’s absolute plan. You just need to be within it.

1) Moses’ mother
All the children were about to be killed. Moses’ mother found God’s absolute plan.

2) Joseph
Before that, his brothers tried to kill Joseph, and then sold him instead. He found God’s absolute plan. This is extremely important. All seven of the Remnant did this, and all their parents did as well.

3) Jesse
Even when war had broken out, he sent his young son on an errand, saying, “Bring back proof.” That means, “Go into danger, but be sure to deliver it and bring back proof.” That is what he meant. There, David encountered Goliath. God’s amazing plan was contained within that.

2. The worst situation in history

You must understand the way to receive answers to prayer. The worst situation in history occurred. They took the crucifixion, applied only to murderers, and forced it upon Jesus who was without any sin, and executed him on the cross. And they completely decided that those who followed Jesus were heretics. That is what the church decided — the church itself. In the nation of Judea, since the religious body was also the law and the state, once it decided something, that was the end. It was not simply a decision — rather, everyone who had followed Jesus was declared a heretic, and the order was, “They must no longer be allowed to act; kill them or imprison them.” And so they cruelly nailed Jesus to the cross and killed him. To take a living person’s hands and feet, layer them, and drive in nails — that is not a simple matter. It means the nail goes through and pierces the bone. That is an enormous thing, is it not? And then, to make sure he died, they pierced his side so that all his blood would drain out.

1) The figure who appeared at this time was Joseph of Arimathea
The figure who appeared at this time was Joseph of Arimathea. The town of Arimathea has the same name as Ramathaim-zophim. The reason this name is mentioned is that it is Samuel’s hometown. A man from that town, Joseph, came before the judge. That is remarkable. He said, “Give me that Jesus’ body.” That is what he said. Looking at today’s passage, it says he asked “boldly.” Like that.

2) Joseph of Arimathea
This Joseph of Arimathea is described as a respected figure and a council member. Being “respected” means that many people knew this man and that he held leadership. Being a “council member” means, in today’s terms, a position higher even than a member of our National Assembly. This man came here. And he said, “Give me Jesus’ body.” Simply put, he was saying he would hold the funeral. But that authority lay with Rome. The authority lay with Rome, and even within Rome, it lay with that particular judge. If the judge said he could not give it, then it could not be given. But in this case, the judge granted permission.

3. Joseph of Arimathea, who did what has happened only once in history

What does this mean? Here we find things that are extremely important for receiving answers to prayer. This Joseph of Arimathea did something that happens only once in history. Do that. He did something that has happened only once in history. And what’s more, he gave to Jesus the very tomb he himself had prepared to be buried in. That, too, is something Jews hated most of all. It is dangerous. And what’s more, looking at Scripture today, in defiance of the law, this was the day before the Sabbath. The Jews were not allowed to do anything on the day before the Sabbath. It was the law. In order to keep the Sabbath, they finished all their preparations by evening. At that very moment, he hurried and said, “Give me Jesus’ body.” And so he did that, and buried Jesus in the tomb that he himself was meant to enter. And then, following that custom, it is recorded, “He rolled a great stone to block the entrance.” And so it is that the Roman soldiers and the Jews had to go and guard that tomb. That is how this event unfolded.

1) He made his request within a window of only three days, in the timetable of eternity
Now, very important secrets for receiving answers to prayer come out here. Something that happens only once in history. And what’s more, within a timetable called eternity, the opportunity was exactly three days. This is what Joseph did. And Scripture allows us to confirm remarkable records here. It says “a respected man.” And the term “council member” means “a man of power.” Now, if it had been someone without means, someone without power, who had come and asked for the body, what would have happened? If the Jews had asked for the body, what do you think they would have done with it? They would surely have sent it to wherever criminals go. But Joseph of Arimathea came and asked for the body and took it to the wealthiest place there was.

2) He provided the beginning of the right temple
But here’s what matters — you remember, in John chapter 2, Jesus went to the temple and rebuked people severely, don’t you? Right? That too was because it was not a rightful temple — it was a temple whose three courtyards had been destroyed. Remember this well. A church without the three courtyards is not a church. It will inevitably close its doors. God himself causes it to close. Attending a church without the three courtyards is the same as being a Jew who attends only to be ruined. You must remember this absolutely. That is why, when Jesus saw that the courtyards had been blocked off, he picked up a whip, remember? Right? The Jews simply could not understand it. They said something like, “How dare you commit such violence?” That’s how they responded. Jesus said, “My house is the Lord’s house of prayer. It is a house of prayer for all peoples. You have made it a den of robbers.” That’s what Jesus said. And then he made this statement: “I can tear down this temple and rebuild it in three days.” Jesus said that, didn’t he? So the Jews said, “Have you lost your mind? This took forty-six years to build. Are you saying you’ll rebuild in three days what took forty-six years to build?” That is when Jesus said these words: “I will die and rise again from the tomb in three days. That is exactly what the temple is.” What an incredible statement. The one who provided this tomb was Joseph of Arimathea. And so, in fact, this is where the truest temple in the nation of Israel began.

▣ Main

Now, we must firmly hold onto today’s passage regarding what kind of answer we should receive and how we should live. Starting this new week, WRC begins. We are beginning much prayer and consecration for the building of the temple. This is a historic beginning that started our gospel movement, one the whole world is watching. What must we do? We must learn today the three things about this Joseph of Arimathea, who began a truly rightful temple. What kind of faith are we talking about?

1. A first in the history of Israel (Nobody)

The first point. This is something that had never happened before in the history of Israel. It is Nobody. You must without fail go this way.

1) Verse 43, “one who was waiting for the kingdom of God.”
Look at what is recorded in verse 43 today: “a respected man, a council member” — but what follows matters. “One who was waiting for the kingdom of God” — that changes everything. Among the council members of Israel, among the chief priests, among the Pharisees, no such figure had ever emerged. Look at the situation surrounding “one who was waiting for the kingdom of God.” That was the situation. “Boldly” — indeed audaciously, risking death, he went, risking crisis, and said, “Give me Jesus’ body.” This was a complete challenge into Nobody. Do this. What is our introduction today about? It is about something that happens only once in history. Build a temple that has never existed in history. Create your own work that has never existed in history. Remnant, make even your studies into a work that has never existed in history. This is possible. Why? Because we know God’s power, and because it is easy, precisely because no one else does it. Whatever your occupation may be, I am telling you to produce something that has never existed in history. In order to do that, he chose three things — what was the first? Nobody. No one else can do it. He entered into that place.

2) One who was waiting for the kingdom of God
“One who was waiting for the kingdom of God” — if you simply pray this, your answers will change from now on, no matter when.
It means knowing that what Genesis 3:15 fulfills. It means knowing that on the day the blood of the lamb was applied in the time of Moses, Israel was set free. That is what it means to know that word. It means knowing that, long ago, when they were taken captive to Babylon, the name of the one a virgin would conceive was Immanuel — knowing that. It means knowing the incident when Jesus, that one time, spoke with such strength and threw the whip. This is the man who came and asked for the body. Isn’t this remarkable? Remember this. You and I are not doing many useless things. We are pursuing something that has never existed on this earth. There are three ways to achieve that. Going by way of nobody — this is the method.

2. Something that exists nowhere else (Nothing)

The second point. It is something that exists nowhere else. And this is what we call nothing.

1) A funeral that remains forever in history, that will be remembered for all time
What does this mean? He held a funeral that would remain forever remembered. A funeral that would remain eternally in history. Everyone, when I look at our church, it seems that when believers face hardship or a death occurs, we don’t show much concern. That is an extremely important matter. When a believer, as an individual, faces hardship, or when a believer, as an individual, faces a death — that is not merely a personal matter, but something of great importance. Jesus needed a funeral, but no one came forward. This man came forward.

Now here is something we must look at closely. This man’s occupation, being a council member, meant he was a representative of Israel. He was a representative of the church of Israel. The very word “council member” means “fence” or “boundary” — it is an extremely powerful, weighty occupation. But look closely — he did not simply bring Jesus’ body and place it into a tomb. Look closely. What is recorded in the text? It says “a tomb in the rock.” This is a completely different kind of statement. A tomb in the rock does not mean a simple grave — it refers to a great house, carved like a cave inside a great rock, within a great stone. That is what this tomb refers to. Do you understand what this means? It is the kind of tomb that kings and nobles are placed in. Records show that anywhere from one person up to fifty people were placed in such tombs. That means an entire family clan would be buried there. And it means he had built an extraordinary house for this purpose. He gave that to Jesus. This was an extraordinary funeral. There was no time, was there? If not at that exact moment, there would have been no other time. And yet it was the Sabbath. Because everything had to be prepared for keeping the Sabbath, nothing else could be done. And because Jesus died bearing the false accusation of being a heretic, treated as a criminal, no one came forward. Here, this respected council member, Joseph of Arimathea, appeared and offered up his own tomb. This truly is nobody and nothing.

In that land, such tombs were usually caves made of limestone, they say. They hardly decayed, and they became an extremely important part of things. More importantly, being “a tomb in the rock” also means it was located in a place with a wide view. And no matter how great the flood, it was a great rock that would never be shaken. Even during great disasters, they say people would hide there — it served as a refuge. Even the poor, when facing severe hardship, would go there to rest for a while, to take shelter — it is said to have served as such a refuge. Even the villagers would build altars in front of such openings among great rocks. This is what he gave to Jesus. Just think about the situation. With the faith we have now, this would be something we could easily do — but at that time, this was truly a grave risk, in reality.

2) Verse 46, “bought some linen cloth, took down the body, and wrapped it in it”
And he brought the body down and wrapped it with his own hands in fine linen. This is recorded in verse 46. Linen, everyone, was originally the fabric of the clothing worn by the priests, the Levites. And what matters more — you know the curtain of the tabernacle? That was linen. But it goes even further than that. You know the tabernacle, the thing Israel regarded as most important? What wrapped around the fence outside the tabernacle was linen. With that he wrapped Jesus’ body.

Isn’t this remarkable? Everyone, there were so many disciples, and how many other people were there? They all ran away in fear. Once Jesus was falsely accused as a heretic and sentenced to death, everyone turned their hearts away. Calculating businessmen did not appear. Politicians who cannot afford to be criticized did not appear. Isn’t that right? But here, this man appeared. And he gave his own extraordinary tomb — to Jesus.

3) The historic empty tomb
And it was from this tomb that Jesus rose. Just as he had said. Simply put, he left behind a historic empty tomb. Do you know what this place is? This is the temple that stands as an eternal witness.

(1) 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Paul said this: “That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” Just as it was said, he died, and just as it was said, he rose again.

(2) 1 Corinthians 15:20
From now on, all of us will become the same. And so it is said, “the firstfruits.” We will all become the same in the end. At the end of the world, when the last day comes, all will rise. That is why 1 Corinthians 15:20 says, “he has become the firstfruits.” That statement carries tremendous meaning. Now that he has risen, Christ is keeping and protecting the church. Christ, with the very same blessing by which he can raise the dead like many bones, is present and at work even now.

3. The tomb is exactly three courtyards

What matters even more is that this place is exactly three courtyards.

1) The courtyard of the Gentiles
Later, this tomb where Jesus rose became a memorial, and many Gentiles came and passed by to see it.

2) The courtyard of prayer
People who find it hard to speak in front of others, people who are struggling greatly, come here and pray. The tomb itself is not an idol, but wouldn’t we do the same? They go and pray in front of it.

3) The courtyard of the children
As the ages go on, more and more, people come to learn many things there. This is the role that Joseph of Arimathea played. This is the secret we must uncover.

▣ Conclusion

Build a church that has never existed in history. Make your work an artwork that has never existed in history. Because God answers, produce even your studies as a work that has never existed in history.

How do you make it? No one else does it — go by way of nobody. No one else can do it. Go by way of nothing. And what happens? This tomb was completely turned into the temple. Make it happen that everything you have chosen turns into a history in which it becomes a temple that testifies of Christ. With this power, you overcame Rome. Isn’t that right? This power is tremendous. You overcame the Jews, and later conquered the world. Take firm hold of this covenant.

Immanuel Seoul Church, because of the blessing God intended to give, made an extremely fitting purchase of its temple building. Set up 237, Healing, Summit as a 24-hour system there. Then it will be done. Then it becomes a church that has never existed in history. You too, do the same. It should not be a church where people of many nations sit and simply attend a service and leave, but a 24-hour church where they can take a key and go rest and do as they please on their own. Do you understand what I mean? There is no such church yet. And it was Joseph of Arimathea who actually created this. Anyone can go there. The tomb where Jesus rose — let’s go and see it. Anyone can go. And so, this Joseph of Arimathea made a truly exquisite act of devotion. We must uncover this. We must apply it to our lives. No matter how powerless we may be, we can do it, because God gives.

The Immanuel churches of Ulsan and Changwon are all in the midst of building their temples. Do not rush. There is no need to rush. Do it at ease. Do it while enjoying and fulfilling God’s plan. What if you have nowhere to hold a service? Either borrow a school, or if not, hold it on bare ground. We, once, had no place for all-night prayer, long ago. We went up into the mountains to pray. That winter was very difficult. We rented a prayer center, but the churches nearby said, “Why do you rent it only to Dongsam First Church?” and obstructed us, so we had nowhere to go and went up into the mountains. There is no need to worry. Just take firm hold of the covenant.

What is our Immanuel Busan? Everyone, this is a church that the whole world is praying for. You must know this. And those who truly grasp the gospel and carry out the work of evangelism, when they come to Korea, always come here. Without fail, they come. Why? Because they know the history of evangelism here and its precious value. What we should be especially grateful for up to now is our building committee members — amid great hardship, honestly, I thought this place would never receive permission. It has been a long time. There has been much history that you may not know about. There was a longstanding, fierce dispute over this — whether “we must absolutely keep this as protected green space, no, that’s not right, yes it is.” At one point, policy decisions went as far as, “Let’s remove the road here entirely and designate this as absolute green space so that building is impossible altogether.” There was no way in — no legal way. This is what you have now created. What a tremendous answer you have received.

From now on, change your calling. Set your resolve: “From now on, I will become one of the people who raises a thousand bartizans.” Fix that as your prayer topic. From now on, let those who build be the ones who build. You must become the members who take the lead in raising a thousand bartizans. That is how it will be done. Until now, you were the members who resolved problems, but now you are the members who raise a thousand bartizans. This is certain. You must set your prayer topics precisely to receive an answer. Only then can you produce, by way of nobody and nothing, a 237, healing, summit church that has never existed until now.

There is nothing to worry about. It cannot fail. Those who fail, fail because the conditions for failure are already present in them. That’s right. Why did the European churches close their doors? They had no choice but to close. Because people were the masters there, and there was no 237, Healing, Summit, and no three courtyards. Then it has to fail, doesn’t it? Why does this happen? Why are American churches closing their doors? They are closing to the point of embarrassment. Simply put, God is the one closing them. Why? Because it is a church that is no longer needed. A church where people are the master is one Satan controls, and so it becomes unnecessary. It is a church that must disappear. Do not use humanism at all. A church where God is the master. A church where the Triune God is the master. Even if the pastor becomes the master, that is not right. It must be a church where the Triune God is the master. The head elder is not the master. A church where the Triune God is the master — that is what it must become. Only then can the three courtyards be created. God has no choice but to answer. That is what I am telling you to build.

This week, when I came and received the reports, I was quite surprised. People I had never even imagined were the ones raising bartizans, ten each. Oh — I hadn’t even thought of that. Looking again at the list, I thought, “Ah, these are people whose lives have a reason within the covenant.” As you know, I am not a person who is moved by amounts of money. I am speaking now of your history, of the history of these people, and of the history we must go toward together. Isn’t that right? So I thought, “Ah, now I must truly pray for these people twenty-four hours a day.” We must restore the church that has been lost. We must restore a church where the Triune God is the master. It must not be that people become the master. If that happens, you fall prey to the devil. In the world, in the nation, people must be the master. Isn’t that right? In the Republic of Korea, the citizens must be the masters. But the church must have as its master the God who saves the people of the Republic of Korea. You must keep this firmly in mind. Today, we take firm hold of this covenant of prayer. I will pray for you twenty-four hours a day. I will pray.

Prayer

We give thanks to God. Just as the tomb was transformed into the temple, let the places of death within us also be transformed into God’s temple. Let all the believers, today, take hold of a covenant that will remain forever. Let them stand on the path of becoming a truly 237, Healing, Summit church, doing what no one else can do, what nothing else can do. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. ¹⁵ As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

¹⁶ “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.

¹⁷ A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. ¹⁸ Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

¹⁹ “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

²⁰ So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

²¹ Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

“From childhood,” he answered. ²² “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

²³ “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

²⁴ Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

²⁵ When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

²⁶ The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” ²⁷ But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

²⁸ After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

²⁹ He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

Summary

Jesus ascended and the time until He comes again is called the last days. In this time, true evangelism and mission must be carried out.

▷ If you find what answer you must receive for your lifetime and then edit, design, and plan around it, you are bound to win. If you keep editing steadily, many answers come out. In this hour, for true evangelism and mission, you are one who already knows which field you must go to — that is what it means to know the answer. What is the reason for praying? Only when what answer I must receive for my whole life is settled will I come to know this week’s, and today’s, answer.

▣ Introduction — What Jesus kept teaching throughout His three years of public ministry

12 Apostles, 70 Disciples

World / Satan’s Kingdom / God’s Kingdom

1. Apostles — dividing the entire world into 12 great parishes
2. Church leaders — 70 disciples, 70 nations, 70 works

▷ The people of the world are fighting over territory, culture, and economy. All of these people are objects of mission. At this time Satan has set traps, frameworks, and snares centered on the “self,” which cannot help but be tempted. So all these people are also objects of healing. The apostles and church leaders of the early church knew this, so after Mark’s upper room they were never shaken. The 12 apostles divided the world into 12 great parishes. That is why the Lord spoke of “every tribe,” “all peoples,” and “the ends of the earth.” He taught the church leaders that they would become 70 disciples, 70 nations, 70 works. After Mt Calvary, Mt Olive, and Mark’s upper room, the apostles and the 70 had the answer in hand.

Field (Hidden Disease) — The field is dying, infected with a hidden disease. Those who know this are the ones who evangelize and do mission.

Save the Closing Churches — the first, second, and third temples that God did away with (churches lacking the three courtyards), the medieval church that He caused to decline (man-centered), the closing churches of Europe and America (flesh-centered), churches centered on culture and tradition without the gospel — at this time three groups (centered on the Nephilim) and a substitute religion that says God is not even needed are arising.

Field (The Answer) — If you find the answer that is in the field, you can revive it without limit.

▷ This is an age in which even concern itself has collapsed. Coming to church and fighting, and doing nothing but talking about others 24 hours a day, is what the devil does. They spend 24 hours doing things that have nothing to do with God. This is because they do not know the church and the spiritual world.

▣ Main

1. The Crowd (Wandering) [Nobody] — The wandering crowds kept flocking wherever Jesus went. Because the church gives no answer when they go there, they have no choice but to wander. There is no interest in this at all here.

Nobody — there are many people who assert their own opinions, speak the world’s words, speak according to the flesh, and talk about others, but there is no one who will actually save.

1) Verses 14-16 — Wherever Jesus went, the crowds gathered and flocked to Him, begging to be saved.
2) Incurable Disease — Because it was left untreated for too long, it became an incurable disease.
3) Spiritual Problem — Because they are seized by a spiritual problem, there is nowhere else to go.

2. Demon Possession — No religion can heal this.
Nothing — there is nothing. Evangelism and mission are going to Nobody, Nothing.

It is going to those who are Nobody, and it is going to the field, to Nobody and Nothing. It is not difficult. Because it is not by our own strength, it is very simple. All we need to do is speak of the mystery of Christ. Even without much explanation, if we keep other concerns from taking root deep in the other person’s heart and make them focus only on Christ, then a work happens. With new family members caught in spiritual problems, you must not let this word and that word go in. When God’s word enters with concentration, a work occurs.

1) Medicine
Look carefully at Scripture. What does it say in verses 17 and 18 today? “They brought a boy possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.” That is what was said. In verse 18, “Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and grows rigid.” He was so difficult that they brought him to the disciples, and the disciples could not heal him. That is why they made this request. In other words, it had reached a stage where no medicine could be applied.

2) Mark 3:13-15
Jesus said from the very beginning, “I called you to be with me, and also to send you out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.” He plainly said this.

3) Mark 16:15-20
This was said at the very end, in Mark 16:15-20. “They will drive out demons in my name.” This was also said at the end. If the doctors in our church were to know these spiritual matters (Main 2) and carry out a healing ministry of world scale, our church would become a worldwide church. It should be that ordinary people do it, but doctors should do it too. Then they will not go astray medically and will not create unnecessary risks. There is a disease spreading rapidly across the world that no one can touch.

3. Prayer [OURS] — This is the third and more important point. “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.” This tells us what prayer is. The prayer of one who is saved, who is in Christ, is different. It is the prayer of one who discovers the “only” — discovering it wherever they go. One who waits for uniqueness. One who knows and challenges toward re-creation. This has become mine — the system has been fixed in place — this is the prayer of one who carries the gospel. If you do this, you will certainly win.

1) Verse 23, the father — This is His answer to the question the father asked. “What do you mean, ‘if you can’? Nothing is impossible for the one who believes.”
2) Verse 29, the disciples — This is His answer to the disciples’ question. “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.”
3) Not I, but Christ as Lord — There is no “I” who must perish; prayer is Christ becoming my Lord.

The Power of Christ — Prayer is enjoying and delivering the power of Christ.

Not Satan, but Christ Imprinted — What matters even more is that the power of prayer is pulling out what belongs to Satan and having what belongs to Christ imprinted instead. This is what you do not know, He is saying (verse 19).

▷ Spiritual problems simply disappear. Doors to 70 nations and 70 fields will burst open for the elders, because they have been changed. It is only natural that through the church leaders, works will happen in the 70 works. That is how world evangelization takes place. Whoever the doctor was, Remnant Joseph, and the disciples in Babylon — works happened in 237 nations. It lies in a very simple place. If you find the answer to “why is God the only one causing me to do this?” it becomes easy to see. Then the answer of uniqueness, the answer of the Kingdom of God, is bound to come. Just wait. This is the true weapon that you who do mission possess.

▣ Conclusion — 237 Nations, Healing, When Holding a Summit

1. What Is Changed
▷ It changes when the 237 multi-ethnic peoples come and are able to speak what is inside them.

2. Field (Healing)
▷ They must be able to go back to their own nations and heal their own nations.

3. Minister (Calling)
▷ These multi-ethnic peoples must have the calling planted in them to go and raise up ministers.

▷ The answer you will receive is 70 nations, 70 disciples, 70 nations, 70 works. You must align yourselves toward this as much as possible. The pastor’s preaching must be fitted to the whole world through the 12 great parishes. You must have the eyes to see, “How would God look upon these (the Main)?” The whole world is set up this way (the Introduction). May you discover this blessing this week and may this be an important week in which you find the answer for your lifetime, in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus came and began His ministry, and the period until He comes again is called the last days. To be precise, we call the time from His ascension until His second coming the last days. In this time, we must do true evangelism and mission, right?

[Lifetime Turning Point]

In the first service today, it was “Find the turning point of your life.” It was the Mount of Transfiguration. You must find it, don’t worry. If you find “what kind of answer I must receive for my life” and edit, design, and plan around it, you are guaranteed to win. Most people do not study. Studying doesn’t mean school studies. You must keep editing this steadily. Then many answers come out.

[Knowing the Answer]

Now, today, which field must we go to for true mission and evangelism? You are already “one who knows the answer.” Because our church leaders are important people, you must all begin this way. Remnants especially must acquire expertise. Why do I pray? It is important to settle what answer I must receive for my life. Only then will you know this week’s answer, today’s answer.

▣ Introduction

Now, there is something Jesus essentially kept teaching throughout His three years of public ministry. What did He teach?

[12 Apostles, 70 Disciples]

He kept speaking to the twelve apostles and the 70. Tremendous answers are contained here.

[The World, Satan’s Kingdom, God’s Kingdom]

The world, Satan’s kingdom, God’s kingdom. Whether you know it or not, they exist this way. What the people of the world are doing right now is just fighting over territory, fighting over economy, and continuing to fight over culture.

[The World — Object of Mission]

All these people are objects of our mission. Because they do not know, God has even sent them out as slaves — that is what happened. The whole world, all of you, is entirely an object of mission. If you cannot see this, you cannot see the answer. Some people live in America without even knowing why they are living there. America is the greatest object of mission. If you just live there as is, it’s a disaster. Once you know this, you know, “Ah, why am I here in Japan.” This is a tremendous object of mission. It’s only because you are in such difficulty that you have no room to see it — if you step outside that a little, you can see it. You see how dangerous this country now is. At this time Satan has set a trap, a framework, and a snare centered exactly on the “self,” which cannot help but be tempted. Nearly all believers are also tempted by this (Satan’s kingdom). Because it is “me.” If I feel bad, everything feels bad. If something benefits me, I do it. This is what he tempted with from the very beginning — the explanation, “You will become like God.” And so it continues toward destruction.

[Satan’s Kingdom — Object of Healing]

All these people are also objects of healing. The early church, the apostles and church leaders, knew this. So once they knew this, they were never shaken again. Have you ever seen Peter shaken after Mark’s upper room? Never. Why? Because he knew this (the world, Satan’s kingdom, God’s kingdom).

[God’s Kingdom — 1. The 12 Great Parishes]

And so, what did the twelve very important apostles mean? You need to look at this carefully. What was explained during those 40 days was that the whole world was divided into 12 great parishes. The Lord’s servants must have their eyes opened to this, right? He divided the world into 12 great parishes using the 12 apostles. That is why He kept saying “every tribe,” “all peoples,” “the ends of the earth.”

[God’s Kingdom — 2. 70 Disciples, 70 Nations, 70 Works]

He gave the church leaders three blessings. 70 disciples. 70 nations. And the 70 works by which to overcome this. It is not “you must do it.” He taught what becomes so. Most people who do not know God teach “you must do it.” Those who know God know what becomes so. After Mt Calvary, Mt Olive, and Mark’s upper room, the apostles and the 70 had this answer firmly in hand.

[The Field (Hidden Disease)]

Look at today’s passage. When Jesus arrived, He saw a crowd gathered, and going to see what the commotion was, they had brought a demon-possessed child. They had brought him, and here is what they say: “Whenever our child is caught by the demon, he collapses anywhere, falling backward.” As he falls, he grinds his teeth, his face turns a strange color, and he cries out to be saved. He might fall anywhere, at any time. This is the child they brought. Why was there such commotion? Because they asked the disciples to heal him and the disciples could not. Then this is exactly what the child’s father said: “Even if the disciples could not, if you can, please save our child.” That’s what he said. And this is what Jesus then said: “What do you mean, ‘if you can’? Nothing is impossible for those who believe.” That is what Jesus said. The child was healed.

And once he was healed, the disciples quietly asked, “Ha! Why couldn’t we do it? How did that happen?” That is what they asked. And Jesus answered like this: “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.” That’s what He said. He revealed what prayer is. “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.” All these famous words came out on this field (the lifetime turning point, knowing the answer). The field is dying. Those who know this are the ones who evangelize and do mission. What is even more frightening? What’s even more frightening is this: even after giving this answer, the field is now completely infected with a hidden disease that cannot even be recognized — right before such problems appear.

Tomorrow, and this whole week too, if you hold onto this answer firmly, when you go to your own field, you will see what matters. Last Sunday evening, I had a meal with our elders and the standing committee members from Seoul. While we ate and talked, I could feel how much these people love the church. I could feel how much they love only the gospel, how deeply they love the gospel — I could feel it. And I could feel how much I want to help the Lord’s servants and evangelists so they can evangelize. Elder Shin Myung-jin from our Busan church lives in Seoul now, and he became the elder in charge of administration at the Imseo church there. The first thing he said to me was this: “Oh my, I was so shocked when I came to Immanuel Seoul Church.” I said, “Why?” and he said, “I had never seen people so devoted before.” He said this jokingly, saying, “How could those people be so devoted when they aren’t even paid a salary?” That’s how it went. As I was talking and coming back, I suddenly grasped this message.

[Save the Closing Churches]

“Save the closing churches of the whole world.” We still have so many answers left for us. The field is dying like this, but the churches are closing their doors. You know this, right? You know why the first, second, and third temples disappeared, right? God removed the first, second, and third temples. You know this well, right? A church lacking the three courtyards is unnecessary. The medieval church — why did God let it decline? Because it was man-centered. He closed it all down. Now, why are the churches of America and Europe closing? Because they are flesh-centered. Flesh-centered, not spiritual. They close. If we know this, we can save them quickly. We must revive the closing churches. As a result, in some churches everything about the gospel has disappeared and it has become culture-centered. Barely anything remains. But there is no power at all. And in other churches they cling to some kind of tradition. No gospel, no answer at all.

At this time three groups have completely taken over, centered on the Nephilim. Now one group has arisen that attacks these three groups. What is it? “Religion is not needed, God is not needed either. Religion must be changed.” A substitute religion — it has now appeared. Alternative medicine is also emerging. It has begun to appear in America now. The whole earth is in an uproar. Churches have no choice but to close.

[The Field, The Answer]

Right now our Immanuel family is not enough to save the whole world, but if we find the answers that are in the field — in the churches closing all over the world — they can rise again without limit. You must have your eyes opened to this. We know this. We said we would come again next week, but look at that elder in Germany. In Germany there are cheap, good buildings that could be used as cultural facilities, but nobody looks for them. You have to search. It’s astonishing — once they search, it’s all there. And in Europe, once a church building is built, you cannot change it. Since the church building was built, it has to keep being used that way. So it becomes a bar there, or a restaurant there. Because the church has no people. It changes like this. This is not just saying it for nothing — if you find the answer in that field, you can save it without limit. It is an age where even interest itself has completely collapsed. There is nothing being done. Coming to church and fighting and talking about others. This is a big problem, isn’t it? This is what the devil does. Coming to church and fighting, only talking about others, doing nothing but that 24 hours a day. Whether right or wrong aside, they just keep doing that. In our church, we have to save that. They have completely closed the doors. There’s no particular reason. Continuing to do things that have nothing to do with God, 24 hours a day, is what causes ruin. But still, in our church there are the elder deaconesses and elders who pray in secret. What is called “church” — they don’t know this because they don’t know the church. They don’t know the spiritual world that is coming, that’s why.

▣ Main

You must remember three things.

1. The Crowd (Wandering) [Nobody]

Today, the wandering crowds keep flocking wherever Jesus goes. That is exactly what is happening now. Even though it’s nothing, because no answer is given, when you go to church, no answer is given. There’s only human voices. So there is no choice but to wander around. Simply put, you only know the word — some of you grandmothers may find this difficult, but in English it’s “nobody.” There’s no one. There’s no one who will save. There are many people who talk smartly. But there’s no one who saves. Those who know a lot and assert their own opinions are packed full. Only those who save are missing. They know all the world’s words, others’ words, the flesh’s words, all sorts of words. But the one thing missing is someone who saves. Those who know this receive the answer, everyone. Right? Receiving an answer is not difficult. This crowd is wandering, and there is no interest here at all.

1) Mark 9:14-16
So today, looking at verses 14 and 16, the crowd gathered and came, begging to be saved wherever Jesus went.

2) Incurable Disease
It was completely left untreated for too long and turned into an incurable disease. Ordinary sicknesses can be treated by going to a doctor, but this one had gone on far too long. It had become an incurable disease. In today’s text, he falls down anywhere, collapses, screams strange sounds — what can be done about this?

3) Spiritual Problem
And so with a patient like this, the whole family is caught up in this spiritual problem, and there is nowhere left to go.

2. Demon Possession [Nothing]

This is the second point. No religion can heal this. Why? It is clearly written in today’s Scripture. It is demon possession, and the demon drags him around like this. In simple terms, this is a disease (demon possession), but to put it simply for you experts, in English, it is completely Nothing. There is nothing.

What is evangelism? It is going here (to Nobody, Nothing). What is mission? It is going here (the field, to Nobody, Nothing). It is not difficult. Because it is not by our own strength, it is very simple. You just need to speak of the mystery of Christ. Even without much explanation, if you keep other concerns from taking hold in the other person’s heart and instead make them focus only on Christ, a work happens. For new family members caught up in spiritual problems, you must not let various other words go in there. When God’s word goes in with concentration, a work happens.

1) Medicine
Look at Scripture carefully. What does it say in verses 17 and 18 today? “They brought a boy possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.” That is what was said. In verse 18: “Whenever the spirit seizes him, it throws him down, he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and grows faint.” He was so difficult that they brought him to the disciples, but the disciples could not heal him. That is why they made this request. In other words, it had reached a stage where no medicine could handle it.

2) Mark 3:13-15
Jesus said from the very beginning, “I called you to be with me, and also to send you out to preach, and to give you authority to drive out demons.” He plainly said this.

3) Mark 16:15-20
In Mark 16:15-20, He said this at the very end. “They will drive out demons in my name.” He said this at the very end too. If the doctors in our church were to know these matters (Main 2) and carry out a worldwide healing ministry, our church would become a worldwide church. Right? Ordinary people should do it too, but doctors especially should do it. Then they will not deviate medically. Diseases that no one can even touch are now rapidly spreading across the world.

For example, in Seoul, Elder Kim Shin-tae is originally a respiratory physician. When he explains how important it is to heal the body through breathing this way, and how important it is to pray, people come to believe it. Why? Because a doctor with medical qualifications is the one speaking about medicine and about prayer. So it has a tremendous influence.

3. Prayer [OURS]

The more important one is the third point. “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.” This tells us what prayer is. Your prayer, the prayer of one who is saved and in Christ, is different. One who discovers the “only” — this person discovers it wherever they go. One who waits for uniqueness. One who knows and challenges toward re-creation. This has already become mine — the system is fixed — this is the prayer of the one who carries the gospel. If you do this, you will win without fail.

Today, missionaries Park Bong-woo and Yoo Young-hee’s family in England are all from our church, and their children are studying a very important field in Europe. If these young people equip themselves with academics and open their spiritual eyes and begin to work, Europe will be turned upside down at once. Conversely, a New Age member like Bill Gates has developed a tremendous function and inserted New Age thought into it, so that the whole world falls completely into the New Age. This is the terrifying result that comes out. This is prayer.

1) Mark 9:23, the father
As said in verse 23: “What do you mean, ‘if you can’?” This was His answer to the question the father asked. “Nothing is impossible for one who believes.”

2) Mark 9:29, the disciples
Verse 29 is His answer when the disciples asked. “This kind cannot come out except by prayer.”

3) Not I, but Christ as Lord
So He said something very important. What is the prayer you must know? There is no “I” who must be destroyed; prayer is Christ becoming my Lord.

The Power of Christ
So there is nothing at all to worry about — prayer is enjoying and delivering the power of Christ.

What is even more important — the power of prayer is pulling out what belongs to Satan and having what belongs to Christ imprinted instead. This is what you do not know, He is saying. Here He even said this: “How long shall I be with you?” He even said that, right?

Even now, if you begin to enjoy this power and pray, a work is certain to happen. How does it happen? My illness may be healed, but it may also simply disappear. Why? Because I have been changed. Before, spiritual problems used to come and go, but now they simply disappear. Why? Because I have been changed. Doors to 70 fields, 70 nations, are just bursting open for our elders. Because they have been changed. This (the Introduction) is not something you “must do.” Through the church leaders, it is only natural that works happen in the 70 works. That is how world evangelization happens.

For Dr.누가 (Luke), it was not just 70 regions that happened — it happened completely in 237 regions. Right? Remnant Joseph and the disciples in Babylon were not just 70 regions either. Works happened in all 237 nations completely. It lies in a very simple place. You must always search it out. What is the sole reason God is having me do this? If you find it, it becomes easy. Then the answer of uniqueness, the answer of the Kingdom of God, is bound to come. Just wait. This is the true weapon that you who do mission carry — the weapon of the Remnants, the weapon of our Immanuel Church. You must do exactly this.

▣ Conclusion

Let me draw a conclusion.

1. What Is Changed

When you hold the 237 Nations Healing Summit and meet those people, do not say any other words at all, do not even say this either, and just do the work of changing them. Do not even say, “You must change.” Just change them through prayer in your heart. Did they come from North Korea? Right now, they are not normal. They must be changed. Do not speak of it. Because you know that if a person who came from North Korea talks about it, it won’t even work, so you don’t. What kind of country is North Korea? How are they living right now? They came from there. What they are carrying is enormous. Wounds, trauma — an enormous amount. You do not speak of it. Even if you were to try, would you understand? You must change them. Change them into Christ. You must remember this. Right now many of our people are doing ministry among the multi-ethnic peoples. Because you are not yet close enough with them, they do not say what is inside. There is so much still to be changed. Simply put, what does it mean to be “a church equipped with the 237-multi-ethnic system”? It means they must be able to come and speak of what is inside them. That is how they are changed. Otherwise, they are sent back the same as they came. You must remember this. This (changing them) is the true evangelism, the true mission. But if you add on top of that the words of the world — this word, that word, any and every word — you send them back completely destroyed. And when they come to Korea, there are so many good things, right? So they see it all, they enjoy it all. Then when they go back to their mission field, they cannot do mission. The person is completely ruined. This is what churches are doing right now. They completely ruin them. You must change the deep problem inside the person. To do that, you must understand them. If you don’t understand that, how can you change them? If you judge everything one by one by the law, you cannot change them.

When Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery, did He say, “You did well”? Did He forgive her that way? No. Why did the people bring stones? Because they hated her and wanted to kill her. They meant to kill that wrongdoing woman. That was correct, but it wasn’t. Being correct isn’t always right. Those people were already trying to kill the woman, out of hatred. When Jesus saw the adulterous woman, did He say, “Fine, just go home”? No. Did He say, “It’s okay”? No. Jesus knew that woman’s true inner heart. “Do not sin like this again. No one can throw a stone at you. Go home. You are forgiven.” Which of these is right? He completely changed what was inside that person.

2. The Field (Healing)

These people will eventually go back to the field of their own nations. Someday. They must be able to go and heal their own nations. You must do this for them. If they have not been changed, how can they heal? If we do it wrong, we only do surface-level work. So what do we call this? These people must truly meet you all, come to our church, and feel so comfortable that they come to your own home and think, “I really need to talk about what is inside me, this problem.” That’s how it must become. Right? But that doesn’t mean you drag them somewhere and say, “Tell me your problem.” It has to come out naturally, doesn’t it?

As these people listen to sermons or listen to you speak, they come to think, “Ah, I could say this to this person too” — that’s when they speak their own concerns. If you keep speaking like an animal, speaking according to the flesh, they will think, “Ah, I’d better not say this to this person” — and they won’t. They’ll just keep talking about other people. “It would be useless to tell this person about my spiritual problem” — they won’t do it.

3. Minister (Calling)

In the end, how far must we raise these people? We must get these multi-ethnic peoples to go and raise up ministers themselves. Not simply healing them, but planting the calling in them. This is your mission. And the blessing you will receive is enormous. It’s certain.

The answer you will receive is 70 nations, 70 disciples, 70 fields. That is the 70 works — that is the answer you will receive. You must fit yourselves to this as much as possible. It is not so much effort as it is fitting yourselves — to this (the Introduction). If the pastor’s preaching does not fit the whole world through the 12 great parishes, then I must be changed — I cannot change the Word. That’s right. If my preaching does not match healing the whole world, I must change my preaching — I cannot change the Word just because it doesn’t fit with me. It is a great mistake for many people to say, “This preaching matches me.” It must match God. How would God look upon these people? You must have that perspective. The whole world is set up this way (the Introduction). May you discover this blessing this week without fail, and may this be an important week for finding the answer for your lifetime, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Let us pray.

Thank You, God. Let us see with our spiritual eyes what belongs to You. Let us not suffer hardship ourselves, but let us be filled with what is Yours. For the multi-ethnic peoples who have only one chance in their lifetime, let them be changed into what belongs to Christ. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
