Lecture 02: 『 What Kind of Blessings Will You Receive Tomorrow? 』 (Acts 2:17-18)


In Lecture 1 we looked at what is happening right now. God’s bartizan continues even now.
Lecture 2 is “What blessings will we receive tomorrow?” If we make good use of Lecture 1 and pray, this (Acts 2:17-18) will come forth. Simply put, we come to see things to come. Then it becomes easy.
Things others cannot see – excitement, conviction, gratitude

Excitement, conviction, gratitude

This characteristic leads to seeing what others cannot see. This was the characteristic of the 7 Remnant. They saw what the adults could not see. At the field, God will reveal it. They saw what the king of that nation could not see. This is the first and extremely important answer that you and the congregation will receive. When you see this, three things emerge. I am about to go to the field, and I am going – and I feel excited. That is how it should be; you should not feel burdened. When you see this clearly, you feel excited. We must create the conditions for the congregation to receive this blessing. Evangelism is important, but you must be able to see this. Then this comes forth. You must have conviction. Then what comes out naturally is this – gratitude cannot help but come. Someone who has been in the faith a long time, yet goes to church and no gratitude comes out. Why? Because they have not seen it. Human beings, no matter how excellent, when they see something good, they speak about it. When evidence keeps coming to me, I cannot help but speak to others about it. And from within that, this (excitement, conviction, gratitude) emerges.
Introduction – A clear picture
So now we are entering this second stage. You have a clear picture. This is what will happen to you. In business, in studies, in evangelism – a clear picture emerges. As a brief reference, it is good to look at a few things in order to see a clear picture.

1) Golden fishing ground – new believers
It is a golden fishing ground. You cannot take in the entire golden fishing ground at once. But the way I see the golden fishing ground is by looking here – in new believers. Among new believers, some simply came on their own. Some came along with others. Some are not yet in God’s timetable. Those people will inevitably waver. That is not because an associate pastor did something wrong and so they waver. The elders not knowing, the associate pastor being inadequate – that is not why the congregation wavers. Those who waver were always going to waver, and those who do not waver were never going to waver. The coach who trained the famous wrestler Lee Man-gi said it: those who are going to make it will make it, and those who are not will not. He said technique is secondary. You have to find someone who is meant for wrestling – and that is found among new believers. When we talk about the golden fishing ground, people think they need to go somewhere to find it – but it does not work that way. This is it – new believers. Two new believers came from a dormitory, and when I looked at them, they were people of calling. Their eyes lit up, and so did mine. This is what God had prepared. These young people ended up raising 300 disciples. Even I was amazed.

2) Blind spot – mind, heart, thoughts
The blind spot is every place that is dead, but when you try to penetrate those blind spots, there are people whose mind, heart, or thoughts are somewhat sick. You must not approach this as though pointing out their sin. You must encourage them and help them. I said something to a certain doctor once. I kept doing evangelism at that hospital, and for the first time, this person came to me and greeted me. He said this team seemed a little different. I said to that doctor, “Doctor, you are a wonderful person, but there is one problem.” He was startled and asked what the problem was. He thought I was talking about the hospital. I said the problem was that he does not know God. He laughed too. Such people are everywhere.

3) Disaster zone – religion
Where is the disaster zone? You could say it is religion. Places of idol worship, places where tremendous spiritual problems have come. Taken together, this is religion. A special disaster is bound to come upon such places. We begin by looking at these and penetrating into them.

4) The sick – Nephilim
After that, there are many sick people. There are also people who do not improve even with hospital care. We need to focus on them.

5) People of the past – calling
There are two more important ones. The first is people of the past. What does that mean? When someone goes to the military, plant a calling in them and send them. With doctors, it depends on the doctor. Plant a calling when they are becoming a doctor. Plant a calling in elites before they become judges and prosecutors. I always tell them: there are many doctors, but there are no doctors who know Christ – that is why you must do it. There are many lawyers, but there are no lawyers who truly know Christ. They understand in just a few words.

6) People of the future – problems
The next is people of the future. All of these are fishing grounds. What do people of the future mean? They have already succeeded. These are even easier. They have succeeded, but something is not working. I graduated from Harvard, graduated at the top, and yet a spiritual problem has come upon me – it gets through easily. They understand quickly. Before, there was one Harvard professor who kept coming to our gatherings – I heard he passed away. Now, what did he specialize in? He specialized in Korean studies. We went together at that time, didn’t we? When I went and looked, he had more materials on Korea than we did. Of course – it was Harvard. So I sat across from him and drew out the path of our salvation and explained it to him. He had succeeded, but the next thing was not coming together. The people here are all people of great influence.

7) People of calling
And even more important – regardless of all the above, there are people of calling. There are simply people of calling. I have seen this twice in Busan. The first time, someone who was involved in a house church meeting but left over a power struggle. A female evangelist at that church – she is a person of calling. Clean in appearance, quiet, a complete person of calling. One person rescues hundreds. One person – because this pastor uses humanism, wondering if perhaps they might come to our church – that friend needs to receive the message, so in tremendous emotion she follows around trying to hear the message. I did not like that. Something similar happened once in Gyeonggi Province. It was a large church where a revival meeting was held. The elders received grace, the church received grace, everyone received grace. But there too, one female evangelist was causing a move of the Spirit. And then a problem broke out in the church. What problem? The church council members’ prayer topic was for their senior pastor to leave. They had already decided he would leave and then held the revival meeting. And during the meeting, grace was received. The church was visibly coming alive. So the pastor gained strength. He was supposed to leave but did not. The elders really need to think carefully about this. Fights break out over such things. You will know which church it is. Keeping all of this in mind, we penetrate in.

1. The Beginning of 777 Prayer
So first, there is this 777 prayer.
1) First – joy, happiness, strength
What must come first here? When I truly pray this, I must feel joy. Those for whom that has not happened have not yet been healed, so they need to find a way to enjoy this joy. When you open your eyes in the morning – or if you are doing this prayer at night – you feel so happy. And then what? Strength comes. Without fail. This must come first.

2) Renewal
Then a tremendous renewal becomes visible.
(1) Acts 1:3 – What renewal becomes visible? Acts 1:3. There is no crowd there. Only disciples. The before and after are completely different. When your congregation enters into this, their eyes must open wide. Everything before is gone. That is unnecessary; only this remains – the disciples. With these, God changes the world.
(2) Acts 11:19 – The second renewal. The church at Antioch. They are still arguing over the law. Does that make sense? Whether it was right or wrong to go to Cornelius’s house and eat – that kind of thing. How can you evangelize the world like that? God set His direction toward Antioch.
(3) Galatians 2:11-20 – And then these Jews follow them around and obstruct them. That is Galatians 2:11-20. What Paul said: why are you teaching Jewish things? Why do you tell others to do what even you yourselves cannot do? Isn’t circumcision not a condition for salvation? Haven’t we been crucified and died on the cross? Does not Christ live within us? Do we not live by that faith? It is a message that brings an enormous renewal. The people who understood this message were the ones who evangelized the world.

3) 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
In 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 we see what we must always do. It says why the congregation is precious, why servants of the Lord are precious, and what we must always do. In verse 19 it says do not quench the Spirit. Among them, what anyone can readily know: always rejoice, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances. This prayer must come first.

2. The Choice of 7 Journeys
From this point, the choice of 7 journeys emerges. Because all of these are answers, we receive answers before evangelizing. Even before I have made up my mind to evangelize, I already gain strength. The church comes alive. That is how it must be.

1) The 3 flow points
So, when it comes alive like this, an important thing remains – choice. Is not our journey walking the path that the Triune God is fulfilling? That is right. In that, there are 3 flow points. We must grasp these. We must not all evangelize the same way. There are 3 flow points. It is not about grasping the same things from the pastor’s sermon. There is a point that comes upon me. I cannot pray at all – that too is a point. Right? Then we must start there. The word is not being fulfilled in me at all – that too is a point. I have absolutely no thought of evangelism – that too is a point. Then we must start there. This is extremely important.

2) The footstool of the throne (absolute)
The 10 things of the footstool of the throne – we must choose these at all times. If you put the 10 things of the footstool of the throne into one word, what is it? Absolute. Choose that.

3) The secret of the throne (winning without fighting)
There are also 10 secrets of the throne. What is the key here? How should we choose? We must choose all 10, but in one word – winning without fighting. We won without fighting. And we save everyone else too. That is the key of the 10 secrets.

4) The conviction of the throne (reality)
And then there are 5 convictions of the throne. What are these? The key is not being deceived by reality. We need to be victorious but we get deceived by reality. It says He gives only trials we can bear, and He also gives the strength to overcome them. So the person who faces great difficulty is a large vessel. Someone with no difficulties at all may seem fortunate, but they are a small vessel.

5) The flow of the throne (source)
What is the fifth? The very important 9 flows of the throne. All of this is the throne. We go by this power. The most important thing here? The source. We have obtained the source of the spring. Then even if all the water is blocked off, it is fine.

6) The lifelong answer of the throne (delivery)
Here the lifelong answer of the throne comes. What is the important word there? Receiving this lifelong answer and giving it out. That is what we go to do.

7) The camp of the throne (meaning)
And finally, our gathering here today is the camp of the throne. Camp – what is the most important thing about a camp? In spiritual terms it is radiating light, but what is the key that we must enjoy? It is meaning. Why are you here? That is it. That is what appears today as the camp – why must I worship at this church? We have talked about this so that we can hold on to the journey. Next month: how must the Remnant hold on to the bartizan, and how must they walk the journey? How must the Remnant set up guideposts? That is so important. You must now catch this and pass it on.

3. 24/25/Eternity – “Stage 2 of Evangelism”
And now from here emerges the stage 2 camp called 24/25/Eternity. Stage 1 camp is about receiving answers first. That has already been grasped. Now stage 2 comes. From this point, evangelism success begins to take place.

1) Acts 13:5-11, Acts 16:16-18, Acts 19:8-20
Breaking darkness. Healing the demon-possessed. Healing the incurably ill. These things happened.

2) Acts 17:1, Acts 18:4, Acts 19:8
We only need to focus here, but that was not where it ended. They went into the synagogue. It is urgent. We must quickly plant it in the young adults. They cannot even pray and yet they are out in the field. And they do not know what an answer is. The answer comes from this first. The kingdom of God…

3) The aftermath of Nephilim
So in a word, Paul healed the diseases related to Nephilim, the culture related to Nephilim, the aftermath related to Nephilim. That is all Paul did. He could not help but receive blessing. Paul, as we said in Lecture 1, did stage 1 well. So each of you is a precious person right now. Therefore you must receive guidance. If not guidance, then you simply do not go.

Conclusion
So what conclusion do we draw from all this? Just a few simple things are needed.

1) Do not judge – truth is elsewhere
The simplest thing is: do not judge hastily. Do not judge yourself hastily either. Because God has His work to do. Why? Because truth is elsewhere.

2) Do not be deceived – self, world, Satan
There is a second thing to do. When we go right out, our situation is as it is. Do not be deceived. If you are deceived, it is all in vain. Who deceives you? You deceive yourself. Out in the world you are deceived again. And will Satan sit still? We are deceived in these three places. Do not be deceived.

3) Blessing – prepared
The next important thing: receive blessing first. Why? Because God has prepared it. So it is fine even if you have nothing. Do not take a staff with you – to that degree – do not take extra sandals either, do not take a money bag either – that is your wallet. Leave it behind and go – Jesus said it to this extent.

Churches not yet self-supporting (12 locations of evangelism branch churches), self-supporting churches (3 courtyards)
So today, if any of you feel that your church is not yet self-supporting, then from today, starting from Lecture 1 with that message exactly as given – simply establish 12 evangelism branch churches. As much as possible, except for specially gifted evangelists, make sure that your church members do not exert outside influence. Apart from someone to work alongside like Tychicus, there is little else needed. Let it arise from here – it will be somewhat surprising. Do not rush; receive complete guidance from the Holy Spirit. And the method is through the work of the Holy Spirit – go like this. This is the stage 2 camp. And if your church is a bit more self-supporting, then from now on unconditionally create three courtyards. That is the key. Churches that do not have this are the ones that close their doors. There is no need to rush in building these either. You must go in the same way through stages 1, 2, and 3. Then God will send the disciples of the 237. Then He sends disciples to the 5,000 tribes over there, and God works such that one person can save an entire nation. So if the church leaders hold on to this covenant, God will bless their work. We raise them up with that work. We raise up people of many nations. Especially raising up talented people. When we call young adults from developing nations in the future, the nuance of “your nation is a developing country so you should receive some help” is not good. You must say “you are a capable person of calling, and that is why we are calling you.” That way, even when they receive help, their self-respect is not wounded. We must plant that firmly and send them out. We will take a short break and then do Lecture 3.

 

Seeing Through the Lens of the Gospel

Philippians 1:9-11. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.


To the eyes of the world, God’s people may appear to have very little. Yet in Christ, they possess everything that truly matters (2 Corinthians 6:10). Joseph seemed to have nothing. He was rejected by his brothers, sold as a slave, falsely accused, and thrown into prison. Nevertheless, he possessed everything because God was with him. Scripture declares, “The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered” (Genesis 39:2). Through Joseph’s life, God revealed His glory in Egypt and preserved countless lives during a time of famine.

The same principle remains true today. When you are led by the Spirit of God, you can experience victory in every circumstance of life. God can use your life to save and bless many people through the power of the gospel. That is why our Lord Jesus taught us to pray:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9-10).

As believers, we have been given the incredible privilege of participating in God’s will through prayer:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him” (1 John 5:14-15).

But how do we discover God’s will in the midst of problems, disappointments, and challenges? How do we distinguish between what is merely good and what is best?

The first step is to view every situation through the lens of the gospel. Problems may arise because of our own mistakes, the actions of others, or circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Yet regardless of the cause, we must believe that God remains sovereign and that His purpose will ultimately prevail.

Our heavenly Father is good. He is actively working in all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even our failures cannot cancel His plans. God often uses our mistakes to humble us, teach us wisdom, deepen our dependence on Him, and shape us into the image of Christ.

Therefore, do not become trapped by your problems. Do not waste your energy making excuses or blaming others. Refuse to let Satan use your circumstances to discourage or accuse you. Instead, allow every challenge to become a stepping stone toward greater faith and greater usefulness in God’s kingdom.

In time, you will discover that God has transformed what seemed like a curse into a blessing. Consider David. Throughout his life, he faced danger, betrayal, and relentless opposition. King Saul pursued him for approximately fifteen years, seeking to take his life out of jealousy and fear.

On one occasion, David had a perfect opportunity to kill Saul. One of his companions urged him to seize the moment. Yet David refused, saying, “Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?” (1 Samuel 26:9).

David saw beyond the immediate opportunity. He recognized God’s authority and timing. His concern was not personal revenge but God’s honor. Even after Saul died in battle against the Philistines, David mourned, wept, and fasted for him (2 Samuel 1:11-12).

David possessed spiritual discernment. He knew how to choose what was best rather than what was merely convenient. It is no surprise that God described him as “a man after my own heart” (Acts 13:22).

Joseph demonstrated the same discernment. Humanly speaking, he had every reason to seek revenge against his brothers. Yet he chose forgiveness because he understood God’s greater purpose. He told them:

“And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you” (Genesis 45:5).

Joseph looked beyond human actions and recognized God’s sovereign hand. He saw not merely what people had done to him, but what God was doing through him.

The Apostle Paul also viewed his circumstances through the gospel. Imprisonment could have appeared to be a devastating setback. Instead, Paul recognized it as a strategic opportunity for the advancement of God’s kingdom. He wrote:

“Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear” (Philippians 1:12-14).

What others considered a prison, Paul considered a mission field. Before reacting to your present circumstances, pause and seek God’s perspective. Ask Him what He desires to accomplish through the situation. Consider which response would most glorify Christ and advance the gospel.

Paul constantly faced danger from people (2 Corinthians 11:26). Yet he was not controlled by fear because he understood the spiritual condition of humanity. He knew that God’s redemptive purpose was greater than any opposition he encountered.

To encourage the believers in Philippi, Paul pointed them to the ultimate example of obedience and surrender—Jesus Christ: 

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
    by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,
 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:5-11).

The cross appeared to be a tragedy, but it became the greatest victory in history. What seemed like defeat became the means of salvation for the world. Therefore, do not fear people or problems. Trust in the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33).

Paul also evaluated the world itself through the lens of Christ:

“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage that I may gain Christ” (Php 3:7-8).

This gospel-centered perspective enabled Paul to discern what was truly important. He was not captivated by temporary gains because his eyes were fixed on eternal realities. He understood that the greatest treasure is not wealth, status, power, or recognition, but a deep and growing relationship with Christ.

The same principle applies to us today. When the world becomes too large in our eyes, God becomes small. When our hearts are consumed with the pursuit of earthly things, it becomes difficult to recognize God’s will. We lose sight of what is eternal and become preoccupied with what is temporary. As a result, we struggle to discern what is best.

However, when Christ becomes our greatest treasure, everything else falls into its proper place. We begin to view our circumstances, opportunities, relationships, and challenges through the lens of God’s kingdom. We become less concerned with personal gain and more concerned with God’s purpose.

Because Paul viewed life through the gospel, he was able to remain content regardless of his circumstances. His joy was not dependent on comfort, success, or favorable conditions. His strength came from Christ alone. He testified:

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Php 4:12-13).

Remember, every problem is an opportunity to focus more deeply on Christ and His kingdom. What may appear to be an obstacle is often God’s invitation to draw nearer to Him, discover His purpose, and experience His power. Rather than allowing difficulties to distract you from God, let them drive you to Him.

Challenges have a way of revealing where our trust truly lies. They expose our weaknesses, humble our hearts, and remind us of our need for God’s grace. When viewed through the lens of the gospel, problems are no longer merely burdens to endure but opportunities to experience God’s faithfulness and witness His work in our lives.

This is why every difficulty should lead us to seek the filling of the Holy Spirit. We need God’s wisdom more than our own understanding, His strength more than our own abilities, and His guidance more than our own plans. As we depend on Him, the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see what God is doing beyond the visible circumstances and enables us to discern what is truly best.

May God fill you with His Spirit and grant you wisdom from above so that you may recognize His will, walk in His ways, and glorify Him in every circumstance. May He help you see every challenge as an opportunity for the advancement of the gospel and the growth of His kingdom.


Prayer. Father, open my eyes to see my present circumstances through the lens of the gospel. Help me to trust that You are working all things together for good according to Your perfect will. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and grant me wisdom from above so that I may discern what is best. Give me the faith to focus on Christ rather than my problems, and on Your kingdom rather than the temporary concerns of this world. May every challenge draw me closer to You and become an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

A Church Where Christ Can Dwell (Matthew 8:18-22)

Matthew 8:18-22

18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake.
19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

Summary

▷ There were largely two things Jesus taught. The last was the story that he would triumph on the cross and resurrect, and the one before that continually speaks of foundational things.

Foundation (Memo) – There must be foundational strength, and foundational healing was what was spoken of last week. Where does foundational strength come from? As you listen to the Word, try to grasp the most important words to the degree you think, “I need to pray about this!” When you just try to pray, it doesn’t go well, but if you treasure each meeting and each field and pray, prayer continues. This is what is meant by this kind of memo.

▣ Introduction_ What is the beginning of the true gospel?

It is knowing the value of Christ. – Only Christ eliminated disaster and spoke of Satan and destroyed Satan. Only Christ spoke of the background of hell and broke the authority of hell. We must actually believe this, but there are many things we do not actually believe. This must be recovered.

1. Three Temples – They must be unified.
1) The Throne – The throne is the temple.
2) Indwelling – The temple coming to dwell within me.
3) The gathering place – The place where people gather is the temple.

▷ Jesus is saying, let us build a temple of only Immanuel, only the upper room, enjoying the covenant of the throne.

2. A place to lay his head (Herod’s Temple) – Foxes have dens and birds have nests, yet the Son of Man has no place to lay his head. This means Jesus cannot go to Herod’s Temple and cannot stay in the royal palace.

3. What is urgent – Jesus told his disciple not to go to his father’s funeral even though his father had passed away. The meaning is that right now everyone is dying spiritually, so fleshly things are not what is urgent. This is because Israel will soon be destroyed, disaster will come upon Rome, and the next generation will wander aimlessly.

▣ Main_ There is something the world’s churches are failing at.

1. The Owner of the Temple – Christ (Κύριος, Lord) – The word “Lord” is the Greek word Kyrios (Κύριος). In Rome, the church was persecuted for 250 years because this word was considered only for use with the emperor. The emperor Constantine confessed after 250 years, “My Lord, our Lord is Christ!”

Genesis 3, 6, 11 (I – Lord) → Satan – Satan completely makes Genesis 3, 6, 11 about making myself the master. Unbelievers are 100% steeped in this. It is the weapon Satan uses best. The owner of the church is Christ. The owner of the courtyard that will save the whole world is Christ. The owner who will save us, the next generation, and the future is Christ.

1) Absolute covenant – When Christ becomes the owner of the temple, the absolute covenant is fulfilled.
2) Genesis 3:15, 6:14, Exodus 3:18, Isaiah 7:14 are fulfilled.

Foundation (Memo)

There were largely two things Jesus taught. To start from the last one, it is the story that he would triumph on the cross and resurrect. Before that, he was not teaching things like “do this and the answer will come, do that and the answer will come.” He is continually speaking of foundational things right now. You all need to have foundational strength. Doing this gives strength, and this is necessary too, but fundamentally you need to have strength. For healing, you need to do this and that as well, and that is why a doctor is needed, which is why there are doctors. But the foundational healing was what was spoken of last week. That being the case, where does foundational strength come from? So when the centurion said, “Just say the word,” Jesus praised him to the highest degree.

Memo

Among these things, you can set aside some as you listen to the Word now. Make a memo like this, going through it. The most important words. Try to hold on to the things you think, “I need to pray about this for a week.” A student studying English who studies without ever using English once? That is fake. When you are someone learning to speak a language, never once following along or trying to write it – that is an impossible story.

You need to pray, but it doesn’t go well, does it? And when it comes to adults, doctors will often say things like, “You really should exercise.” It won’t go well. But how can that go well – when you just try to pray, prayer doesn’t go well. If you treasure each meeting and each field and enjoy them as you pray, prayer continues. That is what this kind of memo means. You can go hiking once in a while. Right? But the person who goes every day is different. The person who goes every day looks at the water, looks at the trees, realizes something all of a sudden, and exercises like this. It’s different.

When you listen to the message, as you quietly listen to what Jesus is saying right now, realization comes, doesn’t it? He is talking about foundations. Right now. Continuously. Then what is realized? It is completely different from what we think, isn’t it? You are always saying things like this happened this way, that happened that way, always going on like that. Then when great difficulty comes upon you, you cannot overcome it. Even now, Jesus is asking from the very beginning, “Do you know what true blessing is?” Isn’t that right? We are not the kind of religious people who bow to stone Buddhas. This is the Word of God, and we believe in God – “Hey, do you know what true prayer is?” That is what was said. By Jesus. That is the Sermon on the Mount. “Hey, why do you fight over such useless things? Is that worth fighting over?” That is what was asked. That is Matthew chapter 7. Simply put, it asks, “Does the other person really have so many faults? Do you have no faults?” That is what Jesus is asking right now. “And can that be worship?” That is what is being said. Not that your worship is not received, but “can that be worship?” That is what Jesus is saying. This is extremely important.

So when Jesus says in today’s passage, “Truly, the Son of Man has no place to lay his head,” many people misinterpret this. There are even many theologians who misinterpret it. “Jesus was so poor that, you know, he was like that.” There are many who interpret it this way. That is a wrong understanding.

“A Church Where Christ Can Dwell” (Matthew 8:18-22)

We need to have a church where Christ can dwell. False prophets are doing just fine in Herod’s Temple, aren’t they? If Jesus were like the false ones, he could go to good places too. This gives us a tremendous lesson today, those of us here. Verses 18 through 22. It appears to be simple talk, but what is the beginning of the true gospel?

▣ Introduction_ The Beginning of the True Gospel

If it’s the true gospel, that’s the end, but what is the beginning of the true gospel?

[The Value of Christ]

The beginning of the true gospel is not about knowing that Jesus came and knowing who Christ is, but knowing the value of Christ. It is an enormous thing. Only Christ eliminated disaster. Only Christ spoke of Satan and destroyed Satan. Only Christ spoke of it. He spoke of the background of hell and broke the authority of hell. Other people, religious figures, heroes cannot talk about that. Because they have no such power, and because there are people dying who belong to that category, they cannot say it. Only Christ told this story.

“What Is Not Actually Believed”

Now, not knowing this value well means one cannot actually believe well. We must actually believe, but there are many things we do not actually believe. You must recover this.

1. Three Temples – Unification

We need the three temples to be unified. What are they?

1) The Throne

Originally you have no need to waver, because the throne is the temple.

2) Indwelling

The temple comes to dwell within me. The throne comes to dwell.

3) The Gathering Place

The place where these people gather is also the temple. The point is to unify these three. Only Immanuel, only the upper room, enjoying the blessings of the throne, holding the covenant of the throne – let us build a temple where such people gather. That is what Jesus is saying right now. Other things have no value.

2. A Place to Lay His Head

Even so, what did Jesus say? “Foxes have dens. Birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Why did he say this? One scribe asked. What did he ask? Jesus – great responses kept happening – “Where are you going this time?” That is what was asked. It’s the question of people who can’t sustain their faith to the end, isn’t it? Oh, it’s remarkable. “Oh, where are you going this time?” When he asked that, Jesus was so exasperated: “I have nowhere to go.” That is what it is. Right now. If you don’t know the background of this text well, you’d think, what does that mean? In our early upper room days, before the political fighting started, an enormous number of people came following along, and pastors lined up saying, “What should I do?”

So Jesus was asked a question similar in nature. Jesus seemed enormous to him, you see. So “Wow, you are truly remarkable. Teacher, where are you going this time?” That’s how it came out. Not even “Lord.” That’s how it came out.

“I have no place to lay my head,” he said. What does that mean? Jesus cannot stay in Herod’s Temple right now. Right? Jesus cannot go and stay in the royal palace. If Jesus had been fake, he could have been in Herod’s Temple there in a good position. And there is the place where the priests stay, you know, a well-made place – he cannot go there.

3. What Is Urgent

Then what does the disciple say? The disciple speaks. The previous question was asked by the scribe. Then the disciple speaks. “Oh, my father has passed away, and I will go and hold the funeral and come back.” That is what he said. Then Jesus said something out of nowhere. “Let the dead bury the dead.”

That’s what was said. He was telling him not to go.

Now, is Jesus so unaware of family, some kind of unethical person? That’s not what he’s saying. It’s asking what is urgent right now. Right now everyone is dying spiritually, so fleshly things are not what is urgent – that is what is being said. Israel is soon going to be destroyed. Disaster is going to come upon Rome. Our next generation will wander aimlessly. What is urgent, that is the question. Jesus has only one brief opportunity. You must know this value today. Now, what is it that almost all people are failing at?

Let the dead bury the dead, and the living, follow me – that’s what it’s saying.

▣ Main_ World Church (Κύριος) – Lord

Today there is something the world’s churches are failing at right here. We can do it. The world’s churches won’t be able to. You can do it. Once you truly understand, there is nothing difficult. What is it right now?

1. The Owner of the Temple

The owner of the temple is Christ.

2. The Owner of the Three Courtyards

What is the second most important part? The temple missed three things. The courtyard of the Gentiles, the courtyard of prayer, the courtyard of the children – the courtyard of the Remnant – the owner of these three courtyards is Christ. There is no place to do this, that is what’s being said.

3. The Owner Who Will Restore the Future

The third must definitely be remembered. He is the owner who will restore the future. This scribe came and said “Teacher.” There is a great difference between saying “Teacher” and saying “Lord.” So looking at him as “Teacher” versus the word “Lord” means seeing him as the master. Now this word “Lord” is the Greek word Kyrios (Κύριος). This word means “Lord” as in master (主人). Because of this, many problems have come and gone. Last week we talked about it. Why did Rome persecute Christians – because of this word. It’s unimaginable. This word caused the church to be persecuted for 250 years. This (Κύριος) looks like the letter P, but in Hebrew it is the letter R (알). This word Kyrios was to be used only for the emperor. How could one use the word Kyrios for a carpenter born in Israel, for Jesus? So this spiritual battle is a great one.

After 250 years of doing this, after 250 years, Rome surrendered. The emperor Constantine said, “My Lord, our Lord Christ is Christ.” What a miracle. A confession 250 years in the making. Now, this is an extremely important statement. If you learn this carelessly, the more you learn the less you will understand.

[Genesis chapter 3, chapter 6, chapter 11 (I – Lord) – Satan]

This Satan, Satan completely makes Genesis chapter 3, chapter 6, chapter 11 about making me the master (主人). Unbelievers are 100% steeped in this. Almost all churches are steeped in this. Do you know when you dislike a minister? Even ministers – when they try to act as master there, that’s when they are disliked. Right? This is not just talk. It is the weapon Satan uses most. You need to understand this. Pastors need to understand this. One pastor said, “You know, many church leaders make things difficult for me.” “I don’t think that’s the case,” I said. “Church leaders don’t trouble you just because you make a mistake.” Right? When you make a mistake, they pray for you and try to help. Do you know when they trouble you? When you try to play the role of master.

The owner of the church is Christ. The owner of the courtyard that will save the entire world is Christ. The owner of the future that will save you and the next generation is Christ. These enormous questions come and go here. Since Jesus’ public ministry was three years, it wasn’t long, you see? Each small thing is extremely important. What might seem ordinary to us – “Just say the word” – Jesus praised that to the highest degree. There is a reason for all of it.

Let’s think for a moment about our own appearance, and the appearance of the world’s churches, and let’s think about our church, this text, and the field. Jesus is still going around saying, “Hey, the true gospel is this. Prayer is this.” He is teaching right now. Then once he performs some miracles, many people look only at that and come rushing to follow him. So one scribe asked, “Teacher, where are you going next?” And Jesus’ answer was, “I have no place to lay my head.” Give up, that is what it means. “No place to lay my head.” And then the disciple says, “There is a funeral at home right now, I will go and come back.” “Don’t go.” That is what it’s saying, simply put. If you misinterpret these two things, something terrible happens. Because he said he has no place to lay his head, Jesus is greatly…

How did someone interpret it? You know that ‘Do-ol, Kim Yong-ok’ who comes out with his head shaved? He interpreted it this way: “Jesus Christ was non-possessive. He is not a possessor. Of anything.” It’s a statement with some validity. It is also a story meant to warn Korea, the world’s churches, the large churches. In that sense it is quite correct. Right? Oh, big churches buying enormous amounts of land and doing things with it – if he is non-possessive, why buy such things? That is what Do-ol is saying. Simply put, it is the doctrine of frugality. That is a good thing, but it is not the truth. You cannot place Jesus’ standard there. Right?

Jesus said something of great meaning right now. Right now, the one who should have been the owner here (in Herod’s Temple) cannot be there, that is what is being said. Originally, he should have played the role of owner of Herod’s Temple. Please make a good memo of this covenant, and even one realization brings an enormously great response.

1. The Owner of the Temple

1) Absolute covenant

What kind of response comes? When Christ becomes the owner of our temple, the absolute covenant is fulfilled.

2) Genesis 3:15, 6:14

At that time, things like Genesis chapter 3 verse 15, chapter 6 verse 14 are fulfilled, that is what’s being said.

Exodus 3:18, Isaiah 7:14

Right now, an enormously great Exodus chapter 3 verse 18, Isaiah chapter 7 verse 14 – aren’t these tremendous covenants? They are absolute covenants.

3) Destiny

When Christ becomes my master and the master of our church, the destiny is completely overturned. That is what is being said. It is an extremely important statement. Though it appears to be a brief remark (introduction), it contains something enormous. This (Main point 1) is a part that many pastors and church leaders of world churches need to quickly understand. Many churches are fighting, quarreling, becoming enemies, and being ruined. They need to quickly understand. The owner of the church is Christ. There is no place for that, that is what is being said.

2. The Owner of the Three Courtyards

Even more so, Herod’s Temple did not have these three courtyards.

1) Gentiles

The courtyard of the Gentiles,

2) Prayer

The courtyard of prayer,

3) The Courtyard of the Children

The courtyard of the children, you know.

These did not exist. He is the owner who restores these. This kind of church is needed.

Absolute Journey

When you hold onto this, what is restored? Our absolute journey is now completely restored. Because we saw accurately. From this time, what is created? You must remember this.

Platform

From this time, a platform to save 237 nations is precisely created.

Bartizan

A bartizan to shine light into the darkness that will save 237 nations – a bartizan is completely created.

Antenna

A spiritual antenna that can communicate with 237 nations – a complete spiritual antenna is raised. This is the kind of temple that is needed, that is what is being said. You only need to pray. Once you know this value, the answer follows. If you truly know, it follows. So for the Remnant who truly know this covenant, many things will follow, so you must not be shaken by small things.

The 7 great temples to save the entire world are created. Where does that appear? It appears in Revelation. If you just hold on firmly to this covenant, the answer will come. Now, who knows that you are holding on to this answer? God knows it well. There is nothing to worry about. And Satan knows. “Is that person truly Christ’s, or not, is he fake?” He knows everything. Because he knows, he attacks. You can’t spend your whole life being attacked by that and die. When you hold on to this covenant and come out, this is the conclusion.

▣ Conclusion

In the church of Ephesus, it is written like this.

1. Seven Stars, Seven Lampstands

“Christ who holds the seven stars and seven stars and walks among the seven lampstands.” What is this? God walking among the lampstands together with the angels of the Lord means he is present in the church. Right now, even without taking a special prayer time, you need to confirm the message and enjoy it in prayer. And that is why worship time is important. For me, there is no reason. Whether 1st service, 2nd service, young adults, whatever – on Sundays, anyone who misses worship is a fool. You all, on Sundays especially, must enjoy it in prayer the entire day. Try it. John Davison Rockefeller said that. Even for that one hour of worship, on Sundays only, the Word and prayer only. This person actually did it. No need to listen to people, only the Word and prayer. His mother taught him that. “Hey, when you go to church, don’t say useless things. Only the Word and prayer. Don’t talk about people. Just only the Word and prayer. So you earn a lot of money and doing the Lord’s work is what you are to do.” It’s true. Looking at the records, while other people came just in time for worship, it says he came one hour before worship and began to pray face down. He was first generation, so it’s impossible to know how much money he earned. God just poured it out. He built 2,000 churches within America alone. It doesn’t disappear. He even took out insurance on them. Including Chicago – including the University of Chicago, 24 universities within America alone he built.

If you just pray well on Sundays, you become like this. That mother taught him rightly. “On other days you are busy doing business, so on Sundays, spend the whole day only in worship and prayer.” This is the kind of temple that is needed, and this is the kind of church that is needed.

2. First – Last

What does it say? “He is the first and the last.” No matter how much you struggle and wrestle, Christ is the first and the last.

3. Sharp Sword

What does it say? “Christ who holds a double-edged sharp sword.” Now, what happens if it’s a double-edged sharp sword? A sword, a very sharp sword, a razor-sharp blade – if only one side has an edge, what happens? If only one side has an edge, you need a technique for using just that one side, right? If both sides have an edge, what happens? You can just swing it freely.

4. Fire, Bronze

What does it say? “His eyes are like flames of fire” – he sees everything, that is what it means. “His feet are like burnished bronze like that of Christ.” He is with you like this. This is the church. To say the church cannot function makes no sense. That’s because those are fakes. The church is the one that has received this kind of blessing – this is the church. Let us make this kind of temple, and like the early church that built the 7 great temples to save the entire world, let us hold on to the covenant.

5. 7 Spirits – 7 Stars

“The seven spirits and the seven stars,” it said. This was said to the church of Sardis. Christ who holds the seven angels and the servants of the Lord.

6. Key

What did it say? “Christ who holds the key of David.” “When he closes, no one can open. When he opens, no one can close.”

7. Foundation of Creation

“He who is the foundation of creation,” it said. This is how it appeared. What needs to be seen accurately here is: the true church – Christ is guarding it like this. If you firmly hold on to this covenant today, the answer starts coming from now. It is certain. When I am in unbelief, do people who don’t believe in God do well? The spiritual problem is coming. What you must not do is be discouraged – when you are praying, the answer is already coming.

Revelation chapter 8 verses 3 through 5, Daniel chapter 10 verses 10 through 20, once it starts, it is coming. Your prayers are all being accumulated. Psalm 103 verses 20, 21, and 23 – it keeps coming. It is. It is certain. Do not be anxious about anything and you must hold on to the covenant of challenging the church that will save the world. Lecture 01: 『 What Kind of Answers Are You Receiving Now? 』 (John 14:16)


Introduction:
Now we need to do actual evangelism, and as I mentioned earlier, things don’t work out because people keep starting off wrong. The start is extremely important, isn’t it? So you must not copy what I did when I first started in Yeongdo. You have to start in a way that fits that place. When about 30-40 members are gathering, what should I do first? The first thing is to look after the members, right? So I changed all the members’ homes into upper rooms. Then what happens? I visit those people every week, I’m always visiting their homes, and the members always get to see me. Through that, I can easily teach them – this is evangelism, this is an upper room. People who see that will follow along. As this goes on, it ends up happening in hundreds of places. If you touch hundreds of places, won’t at least one prepared person emerge? That becomes the power. So as things progressed, I eliminated the upper rooms I was holding, one by one. That’s the only way to move on to other places. The members had already been worshiping and were all prepared, so I needed to dig into other regions to save people, but the members were very sad about it. They said the pastor wasn’t coming anymore, so without really deceiving them, I gently told a little white lie – that I was a bit tight on time so I’d send someone in my place – and that’s how I slipped away. Because all of you are important, when you do evangelism in one area or do something, the start is extremely, extremely important.

Today is Lecture 1. As I’m about to begin – what is it? Right now, what kind of answers are we receiving? I’m telling you, checking this is the first thing.

Jesus said this. It is not God’s will for Jesus to always be visibly present with us. So He said, “If I go, I will send you the Counselor, the Holy Spirit.” So He said He would be with us forever – isn’t that happening right now?

Absolute (Must)
Humanism (unbeliever), Legalism (strife), Mysticism (delusion)

Every time, you must check. What do you need to check? Whether it’s for today, or for your whole life, or for your field – you must always find this (the absolute). The absolute thing. But there are people who speak carelessly, aren’t there? That causes a lot of loss. Some people – whatever comes to mind immediately comes out of their mouth. What happens then? So in simple terms, if you start gently with “what must be done,” this may look like a small thing but it is not small.

Now, when things don’t work out, without realizing it I end up using humanism. Isn’t that itself wrong? Using humanism means you’re in the state of an unbeliever – how unfair is that? Because this doesn’t work out, instead of the law you end up going with legalism. When you go with legalism, what state do you end up in? You end up in a state of strife. That’s why all general assemblies, presbyteries, and all organizations end up in strife. It’s because they fall into legalism. Some people dislike all of that and become mystical – but the Word of God is what is mysterious; if you fall into mysticism, what state do you end up in? You end up in a state of delusion. So how frightening is that?

The conclusion must come first.
So now we’re in a situation where we must do real evangelism and receive real answers, and therefore it is actually correct for the conclusion to come out first in the introduction.

Whatever you do, the conclusion must come out first in the introduction. Right? The Bible is structured that way too. There is no explanation of who God is. The conclusion was drawn from the very first page. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” – that is the conclusion.

1) Genesis 13:14-18
Now, the moment this was laid out clearly, the path gets set right from that point. It’s Abraham. Before that, the path had always been wrong. He had all the covenants, but only the path was wrong. So everyone, even if I cannot find what the absolute is, I must say, “I will do only what God wants” – that is the correct position. Right? Because your life is only given once, and the church you serve is only given once. Why would you do just anything? It must be the absolute thing.

2) Genesis 37:1-11
He grasped the conclusion. Who? Joseph did. From that point on, he was different. When this is correct, answers begin to come. You must enjoy this and be sure to tell the members. When things get too difficult, this kind of margin is hard to find. You have to keep that in mind. Then some things must be given up. Because you need to find this margin – but since you’re in a hurry, for example, a wealthy person who thinks, “Let me try this business as a hobby” – that person has margin. But someone who thinks, “How am I going to survive?” and starts a business by taking out loans – that person has no margin. They’re not originally that kind of person but they become a strange person. So if the church becomes like that, or if our evangelism becomes like that, it’s a problem, isn’t it?

3) Exodus 3:18-20
The answer kept not coming, and then God told Moses the conclusion. That is what’s important. It was finished. Go offer the blood sacrifice now – but the more important word was: I will be with you, and that is the evidence, He said.

4) 1 Samuel 3:1-19
The early movement of history for young Samuel was God showing him the conclusion from the beginning. To Samuel – from that point on, not a single word of Samuel’s fell to the ground.

5) 1 Samuel 16:1-13
Look at another important one. Here we have the scene where priest Samuel, Jesse, and David are present. What was spoken here? The conclusion was spoken. It was finished. “From that day on, the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him” – so do not be deceived.

When I entered Yeongdo, which was completely destitute – I already had the conclusion. That’s right, we’re going to do world evangelism from here. How? I had the prepared materials. We’re going to do it with this. So land of 200 pyeong, 300 pyeong – I didn’t even see that. At minimum, I was looking for several thousand pyeong. So false rumors spread – people said that pastor must have a lot of money, going around all over Yeongdo looking for big land. It has nothing to do with money. Because I always need to reach the conclusion: I can do this evangelism in this area. Without that, the more you eagerly keep pressing forward, the more you run out of energy later. Even if there are only 2 members, the moment that answer clearly comes, the members gain strength.

This year must be a new start. No matter how many members you have, if this answer doesn’t come, things will shake. What is your specialty? You just start, that’s the thing. An impatient person starts impatiently. Will that work? Of course not. And some people are too slow by nature. Even when something comes, they just sit still. That is what it means to quench the Spirit. Pressing in when you shouldn’t – that is what it means to grieve the Spirit. Isn’t that clear? So you only need to hold on to what is certain. 237 – that number I found myself. Because it needs to be certain, right? Other people don’t use it. Wherever I go, 237 is attached – oh, that’s an upper room member – they see it but don’t act on it. 5,000 tribes – isn’t that certain? Three courtyards, the three-day weekend age, the holy meditation age – that’s how it should be, because that’s God’s plan. It’s not mine. So the members – the members must first receive this blessing. They must be convinced. Because it is certain.

6) Daniel 1:8-9
Having properly received Isaiah’s message, Daniel went into captivity. He went, and was used as one who served the king. He didn’t choose it himself – the king recognized the talented and selected them. He purposed in his heart. Here God’s evidence is shown – it couldn’t have been any other way.

7) Acts 1:14, Acts 2:42, Acts 9:10, 15
These are the people who gathered after Jesus spent 40 days explaining on Mt. Olive. The conclusion was reached. Nothing else needed – even if we die, that’s okay – the conclusion was made. “They devoted themselves to prayer” – this must happen. Only then do you have peace, and even when things don’t work out, you know why. That means waiting, not failing. From then on, worship comes alive. Following the apostles’ teaching – the Word begins to become visible. At that point, the person beside you seems so precious. “They fellowshipped together” – at that point, you’re so moved by your salvation – “They broke bread together” – from that point, “They devoted themselves entirely to prayer” – these are people who have reached the conclusion. Ananias – and then. Who did he introduce at that point? He introduced Paul. “He is a chosen vessel to be placed before Israel and all kings” – the conclusion had come out.

When it becomes like this, evangelism too – success of all kinds keeps coming. Whether small or large, success keeps showing up. That’s how it should be – how blessed are you? We started with an upper room and have come all the way to 5,000 tribes. The Word has been fulfilled exactly as it was.

Main – Now let’s go into the Main.

First, ① what Jesus Christ taught is important. Next, ② when we hold on to the correct gospel and the correct message and pray, what is happening right now? Now the third thing is important. As you receive this grace, your work too – and the most important thing, evangelism – isn’t it ③ found within eternity of 24/25? Right?

From within this, Camp Stage 1 emerges.

Now, dismiss everything before you – of course you should receive the leading of the Holy Spirit – but because people miss this, things don’t work out. Members get drained while evangelizing. That’s not right. Whether evangelism works out or not, you must have strength. Right? The answer must come regardless of the fruit of evangelism. That is it. This year, you absolutely must not miss this. I’ve asked my secretaries several times. From now on, when receiving 237 (training), when receiving RU – if this is not certain, don’t receive it. You will probably want to flock just to receive the message. Don’t do that. Setting up true church leaders must not be done that way either. You have to make this certain and then establish them. If that happens, it will be extraordinary – if this is not certain, eliminate some. Postpone. So to the extent of receiving the leading of the Holy Spirit, RU has no enrollment date and no graduation date – that is the answer. When do you enroll? You enroll when this is certain for you. When do you graduate? You graduate when this is built. Why graduate when it hasn’t even been built? I don’t know if people understand this. It really is heartbreaking. Blessings are waiting for you in every place, yet people keep starting off wrong. A person who starts wrong is not bad – they just keep missing it. Most people are like that.

I’ve said it a few times before – you have to be clever about it. When I was doing Bible study at the Korea Telecom company, they couldn’t understand what I was saying. I told them to bring new family members, but they kept bringing old family members. It became a commotion. I was shocked. They were just bringing everyone. It had completely become a worship service. So the pastors in Korea rose up in arms. Think about it from their perspective. Why do people keep going there, they said. He doesn’t even come to the circuit meeting – why go there, they said. That’s how it became.

1. The Teachings of Jesus Christ

1) True Blessing (Matthew 5)
Jesus Christ taught what true blessing is. That is Matthew 5. You already know this, right? If you say it in one word, what is it? “The true blessing is that He has given you the kingdom of God as your inheritance.”

2) True Prayer (Matthew 6)
He explained true prayer. What is it? It’s the same word. It’s not complicated. “Your kingdom come” – “Seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and then” – He said it that way. That’s it, right? So you need to properly grasp something.

3) True Evangelism (Matthew 13)
What is true evangelism? Isn’t it Matthew 13? This one is chapter 6, and this one is chapter 5. Right now do you see yourself as a laborer working in the field – there is an enormous treasure buried underneath – to put it simply, do you see even a small amount of faith – what you have looks small, it looks like a mustard seed – but this becomes a forest.

4) Conclusion (John 14:16, John 14:26, John 16:13)
With what did He conclude? Isn’t it this? John 14:16 – the Counselor, the Holy Spirit – verse 26 – will remind you of all things – 16:13 – will be with you forever.

5) Final Message (Resurrection message)
And then He gave the final message. Isn’t this final message the resurrection message? Three things. “Go to all nations” – “I will always be with you” – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” – “Go to all people” – because the Lord who sits on the throne is with us, “they will place hands on the sick and they will recover” – and “go to the ends of the earth” – not “go and do this.” “You will be My witnesses.”

2. Message + Prayer → “Bartizan”

Once this is firmly in place, now what? Where do we go? Now things begin to move – and the first of those is that a bartizan is built within me. You absolutely, absolutely must not miss this. This is what is called prayer. Prayer is something tremendous. It is directed to God, and within me a bartizan is built.

1) Three Streams – Destiny
Now, the first thing not to miss here. The Triune God is operating in three streams. This reverses my destiny. This is the bartizan.

2) The Throne + My Background
Second, what is it? The background of the throne and my background. What must be done? My background is not needed. Because my background is needed, things don’t work out. The background of the throne – Paul graduated from the best university, but that was what was holding him back. That’s why he said with grief that he counted it as rubbish. Paul, in today’s terms – in terms of our country – was someone who graduated from Seoul National University. Fundamentally a smart person. A Pharisee. A member of the Sanhedrin council. Extraordinary. From Tarsus in Cilicia. A Roman citizen. He had everything there was to have. “I count these things as a loss,” he said. Why? Because of these things, he did not know Christ. The nation was about to perish. “Among sinners I am the worst” – he played the leading role in spreading the message that destroyed Israel. He came to realize that. The background of the throne – this is the second element of the bartizan.

3) Past, Present, Future
Third. My past, present, and future. This is in God’s hands. This is the bartizan.

4) Powerlessness + Five Powers
Fourth. My powerlessness and the five powers. It’s okay not to have ability. The five powers. This does not mean the former things are unnecessary. We have limits. The five powers.

5) Mission and Vessel
My mission and vessel. What is this? He gave me the power to break the authority of the ruler of the air. This is the mission. And I am the vessel that carries this out. This bartizan is enjoyed daily through prayer.

6) CVDIP
Within the answers of a lifetime, there is today. Important, right? That is what is called CVDIP. That’s it, right? This is what is certain.

7) Three Courtyards
And then what? My work, the church, and what God desires most – must be present. What is it? The three courtyards – this is the bartizan.

So today we’ll talk about evangelism, but at the next Tuesday gathering I will confirm how the Remnant should see this bartizan/journey/guidepost. Important, right? This is something you as evangelists must confirm. Right now the three things are being fulfilled, aren’t they? Salvation, answers, and the fulfillment of the Word are happening – and you must see the flow within that. Then my destiny gets turned upside down.

3. Eternity of 24/25 → “Stage 1 of Evangelism”

From this point, Stage 1 of evangelism begins. From this point, Stage 1 of business success begins.

1) Acts 2:9-11
Look at this. The called ones from 15 nations gathered together. This is the start. Looking at this, things begin – this is Stage 1. These are the people who succeeded. Right? These people came from other nations. Among them were visitors from Rome. There were those from poor nations. It was finished. When this was properly set in motion, two things happened – offerings overflowed. These people, so to speak, gave everything and left. These were not ordinary people. They had many friends and relatives. Then 3,000 disciples arose. That is how it happens. But when you remove this and look at other things, that is where the wrong start happens every day.

2) Acts 3:1-12
And immediately their eyes were opened. The lame man at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. A man known to all the world, all the Jews. Known by the high priests, scribes, many Herodians, and party members. “What I have I give to you – in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” – look, Stage 1 is beginning.

3) Acts 11:19-21
A tremendous persecution arose, and within it the door of evangelism, the door of mission, began to open. It’s Antioch. Look at it this way. It’s simple, isn’t it? You have to go this way. Repeatedly going the wrong way the wrong way is exhausting. I am fortunately somewhat lazy. Many people think I’m diligent but that’s not the case at all. My hobby is playing. I enjoy playing. I don’t sleep much. How can I sleep when there’s no time to play? Because of that, I don’t act quickly. That’s actually fortunate. It helps at least a little in receiving leading. Because I’m lazy.

4) Acts 13:1-4
Look at this. Finally, waiting until the complete door opens. Look at this. This is it. Receiving this kind of answer, going into this. While fasting – anyone can see this is the leading of the Holy Spirit.

5) Acts 16:6-10
And as you know, the door was blocked. Good. That night they prayed through the night.

6) Acts 19:1-7
And before going to Rome, 19:1-7 – experiencing exactly the same movement that happened in the upper room. What happened in the upper room, what happened in Macedonia, before going to Rome – looking at this, I believe I saw the third heaven. Something completely unrelated to me, at a level different from my level – how is that? This is Stage 1. The blessing comes before it even happens in your church. When you’re doing this. Then naturally the next stage becomes Stage 2. That we’ll look at in Lecture 2. You must pay close attention.

7) Acts 17:1
This is not where it ended. To the synagogue – you have to go, right? Going there and only Christ…

8) Acts 18:4
To the synagogue – going there and what? Making known the prayer in the name of Christ who can solve all problems, the secret, the secret of worship.

9) Acts 19:8
To the synagogue – going there and making known what the answer is. The kingdom of God…

10) Acts 19:21
And finally, what? “I must also see Rome” – yes. It was finished.

This is Stage 1. Three things – you must now begin with margin. No matter how small the church, God’s answer is arising. If even a few people in that church rise up, history happens. Our church elders are here right now – if you firmly establish the three courtyards in that church, people will come even if you tell them not to. This way, because of you, other people too come alive.

Conclusion

Now, the important conclusion comes out.

1) Enjoyment – 3 Fulfillments
Enjoying this blessing. What do you enjoy? Enjoying the three things being fulfilled. You must absolutely not do other things. The Word is fulfilled, prayer is answered, and the history of salvation is accomplished – enjoying this. Reversing my destiny is enjoying the flow, and this is enjoying what continues uninterrupted.

2) Waiting – Stages 1, 2, 3 of Evangelism
Waiting. Enjoying and waiting. Waiting for what? Waiting until these stages become visible. They become visible. Business, evangelism, and the church must all go the same way.

3) Challenge – Natural, Necessary, Absolute
Challenging. Where must you challenge? There are three points here as well. You must challenge what naturally needs to be done. Right? The church roof is leaking – you have to stop the leak first – challenge what naturally must be done. Challenge what is truly necessary. At these times, it’s not about whether it works or not. Challenge the absolute. Even if we die, that’s okay. To that degree.

This is Lecture 1, but this is not a lecture for you. It is the blessing you must enjoy. To be precise, it is not my sermon. It is exactly the blessing God has given to us. If you miss all of this and press on hard trying to do something on your own, the harder you work the more you lose. So your churches are meant to come alive. The day one member begins receiving this answer, it continues to happen in succession. And because it started there in the early days, because these answers were visible, the members were alive and leaping, I tell you. So when people keep receiving answers, they keep starting wrong again. You are certainly the key figures for world evangelism, so I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ, that this blessing will be fulfilled through many prayers even in your free time.

Prayer. We give thanks to God. May today be a day when the movement of the throne takes place. In our time of prayer, may it arise throughout God’s kingdom, and may the work of God’s kingdom be fulfilled. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

The Secret of Success

Philippians 3:12-14. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.


What is the secret of success?

People have wrestled with this question throughout history. Entire industries have been built around discovering it. Books are written, seminars are held, and countless philosophies promise the key to a meaningful and successful life. Yet history reveals a sobering reality: even those whom the world considers highly successful often struggle to stand firm after achieving everything they once desired. Wealth, power, knowledge, reputation, and accomplishments may satisfy for a season, but they cannot answer the deepest questions of the human heart.

The Apostle Paul understood this better than most. In his letter to the believers in Philippi, Paul described what many would have considered the perfect résumé before he met Christ:

“If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless” (Philippians 3:4-6).

Paul possessed everything that religious society valued. He had pedigree, education, discipline, influence, and zeal. From his youth, he diligently studied the sacred writings of Israel. Yet despite all his knowledge, he failed to see God’s primary message revealed throughout the Scriptures—the gospel of Christ.

He faithfully observed the great feasts of Israel throughout his life. He celebrated the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the Feast of Ingathering. Yet he missed their fulfillment in Christ. He failed to see that the Passover pointed to the Lamb of God and a new life freed from sin, that the Feast of Unleavened Bread pointed to the power of the Holy Spirit, and that the Feast of Ingathering pointed to the background of God’s kingdom.

He meticulously kept the Sabbath, yet failed to experience its true purpose: entering into the rest of God and enjoying fellowship with the Triune God through worship. He lived for religion rather than for God Himself.

Paul confessed that his zeal led him to persecute the church (Philippians 3:6). As a Pharisee, he devoted his life to preserving Judaism and defending its traditions. He was consumed with religious achievement and national identity, yet completely overlooked God’s heart for all nations.

The secret of success he had trusted his entire life ultimately failed him. But everything changed on the road to Damascus. While traveling to arrest followers of Jesus, Paul encountered the very One he had been persecuting: “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4).

A brilliant light from heaven suddenly flashed around him, and he fell to the ground (Acts 9:1-5). In that moment, the darkness that had covered his life was exposed by the Eternal Light. Paul met Jesus the Christ. That encounter changed everything.

The man who once trusted in his own righteousness now counted all things as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord (Philippians 3:8). The man who once persecuted believers became God’s chosen instrument to proclaim Christ’s name before Gentiles, kings, and the people of Israel (Acts 9:15).

From that day forward, Paul discovered the true secret of success: Christ Himself.

Since meeting Jesus, the True King, Paul witnessed the kingdom of God advancing wherever he went. His eyes were opened to the spiritual reality behind human history. He exposed the work of the enemy whom Scripture calls “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), “an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14), and “the ruler of the kingdom of the air” (Ephesians 2:2).

Paul boldly proclaimed Christ’s victory over Satan and urged believers to stand against the devil’s schemes by putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17). As he preached the gospel, many who had been held captive by darkness were set free. Sorcerers abandoned their practices. Demonized individuals were delivered. Entire regions were impacted by the power of God (Acts 13:4-12; Acts 16:16-18; Acts 19:11-20).

Paul personally experienced the promise that “the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20). His success was no longer measured by earthly accomplishments but by the advancing reign of Christ in people’s lives.

Since meeting Jesus, the True Priest, Paul experienced freedom from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). He realized that righteousness could never be earned through human effort. It could only be received through Christ, who “had no sin” but became sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Though Paul possessed an impressive religious record, he later referred to himself as the “worst of sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15). This was not false humility but a profound understanding of God’s holiness and his desperate need for grace. Paul came to understand the power of Christ’s blood:

“He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption” (Hebrews 9:12).

Like every believer, Paul still battled the reality of sin (Romans 7:14-24). Yet he continually returned to the gospel and rejoiced in the truth: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). His confidence rested not in himself but in the finished work of Christ.

Since meeting Jesus, the True Prophet, Paul gained a completely new identity. No longer defined by his past, his achievements, or his failures, he became a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20). He declared that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Every day, he enjoyed the reality of God’s kingdom—righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).

Because Christ opened a new and living way into God’s presence, Paul approached God’s throne with confidence and boldness (Hebrews 4:16). He lived as Christ’s ambassador, delivering the message of reconciliation to a lost world (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).

His mind was continually set on things above rather than earthly things (Colossians 3:2). He pressed on toward the goal of the heavenly prize in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). His life now had eternal direction, eternal purpose, and eternal hope.

No wonder Paul resolved to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). No wonder the central message of his ministry was always the same: Jesus is the Christ.

Wherever he went, he reasoned, explained, proved, proclaimed, preached, and testified that Jesus was the promised Messiah (Acts 9:22; Acts 17:2-3; Acts 18:5). From the Scriptures, he demonstrated the necessity of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection. He proclaimed the absolute and unique solution God had provided for humanity’s greatest problem.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul referred to this message as “my gospel” (Romans 16:25). The gospel had become deeply imprinted upon his heart.

The same can happen to you. When you realize, believe, and continually confirm that Jesus is the Christ, the gospel will no longer be merely a doctrine you know. It will become your gospel.

You will not be able to remain silent. Like Paul, you will feel compelled to proclaim what you have seen and heard. You will share the gospel not only with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with deep conviction (1 Thessalonians 1:5).

You will discover that true success is not found in what you possess, what you accomplish, or what others think of you.

True success is knowing Christ. True success is enjoying the kingdom of God. True success is being led by the Holy Spirit. True success is participating in God’s eternal work of saving souls.

God is looking for people who will dedicate their lives to explaining and proving that Jesus is the Christ. He is looking for churches that will boldly proclaim nothing but the gospel.

What is your secret of success?

Discover it in the Word of God. Learn from the witnesses who have gone before you (Hebrews 11:1-40). Experience the reality of Christ, the kingdom of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit in every circumstance.

To that end, make worship the highest priority of your daily life. Seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Remain rooted in the gospel.

Then the Holy Spirit, who “searches all things, even the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10), will teach you what no human wisdom can teach. He will empower you to do what you could never accomplish on your own (Philippians 4:13). He will lead you to places you could never go by your own strength, making you Christ’s witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

The world measures success by what a person gains. God measures success by whether a person knows Christ and fulfills His purpose. Paul found that secret on the road to Damascus.

May we find our significance and success in Christ alone every day.


Prayer. Father, I thank You for the true success I have found in Christ. Keep me from seeking the temporary success of this world while neglecting Your eternal purpose. Use my life to proclaim the gospel and to bring those trapped in darkness into the light of Christ. May I live as Your witness, enjoying the reality of Christ, the kingdom of God, and the filling of the Holy Spirit every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.
16 That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
17 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

Summary
We must prepare now for the contactless age. God does not permit problems for no reason. There is an enormous plan God has for the future.

▣ Introduction

1. Something hidden that is exerting great influence, yet we are completely unaware of it
1) Korea as a shamanistic nation, the struggles of returned shamans
There are 300,000 shamans who influence half the people of South Korea. A returned shaman has been set free and feels wonderful, but when problems arise from what has been imprinted, no one can help.
2) The words of Jesus
(1) Mark 3:13-15 Jesus’ first words – I called you to be with me. Also, I called you to evangelize. And I called you to give you authority to cast out demons.
(2) Mark 16:15-20 The last words of the risen Jesus – Cast out demons in my name, and when you lay hands on the sick they will recover.
(3) Matthew 8:14-17 Many who were demon-possessed came and the demons were cast out and they were healed. It says that when he laid his hand on Peter’s mother-in-law, her fever was healed.
3) The cause of illness and the answer
(1) Cause – Genesis 3, it came when humanity departed from God
(2) Answer – Matthew 8:17 (Isaiah 53:5) “As the prophet Isaiah said, He bore our weaknesses.”

2. Reality
1) The task of the church – a church that is completely unaware of this fact
2) The task of the age – people who have hidden problems have nowhere to go. So they go to shamanistic rituals and fortune-tellers.
3) Satan has exploited this to create three organizations – using “meditation” to conduct spirit-possession movements, causing spiritual problems to arise, and using the power that manifests from this to produce works. Our next generation goes there and must learn from them.
4) Temple Stay – Last year, visitors from 200 nations came to Korea for Temple Stay.
5) Individual problems – individuals who face this problem have no way to resolve it. It worsens day by day.
▷ We must return to the Word.

3. One thing to remember
1) The ringleader who moves the demons – Satan
2) Jesus, who broke Satan’s authority
(1) 1 John 3:8 The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
(2) Genesis 3:15 The offspring of the woman will come and crush the head of the serpent.

1. What no one teaches – the moment you know why Christ came, darkness is bound.
▷ Do not be deceived. You are children of God. It is finished.
1) Genesis 3:15 The offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. Because we cannot overcome darkness and Satan, God sent Christ – hold on to this covenant.
2) Genesis 6:14 All you need to do is enter the ark.
3) Exodus 3:18 Being trapped in Egypt is not the problem; you are trapped in darkness, so go and offer a blood sacrifice.
4) Isaiah 7:14 Is Babylonian captivity the problem? Every soul is in captivity. Restore the blessing of Immanuel.
5) Matthew 16:16 Even the finest among you, though you struggle, are a vassal of Rome. You are a vassal under the power of darkness. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

2. What no one can do – the moment you enjoy Christ, works begin to happen in me, in the field, and in many people.
▷ One person arose who understood this. That is Paul. The three fields that changed the age.
1) Acts 13 He healed a shaman.
2) Acts 16 He healed a demon-possessed fortune-teller.
3) Acts 19 He healed a sick person who was dying from idol worship.

3. What no one can give – when you are filled with Christ, the age is transformed.
1) Matthew 28:18-20 The risen Lord said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Invisibly.
2) Mark 16:15-20 The risen Christ said, “Lay hands on the sick in my name and they will recover. In my name you will cast out demons.”
3) Acts 1:8 “Not by your own strength, but receive the Holy Spirit and you will receive power.” What no one else can give – you will save them to life.
▷ The moment you know Christ, it is finished. That is why he asked, “Who do you say that I am?” When you enjoy it, transformation happens. When you are truly filled with this, the age changes.

▣ Conclusion

1. The reason you must understand this – your work, your culture, and the next generation that will arise are all contained here.
▷ Why do you think Jesus spoke about demons that we don’t even think about? The three organizations have seized the next generation by holding on to this.

Now COVID is producing tens of thousands of cases per day. All you can do is be cautious. I went into a restaurant and there was a floor area, and inside there was a section where you take your shoes off to enter. I said I wanted to go in there and take my shoes off, but the owner said no. I asked, “Why?” They said it’s too much trouble going back and forth there. I said, “I’m deliberately trying to sit over there because of COVID,” and only then did they go, “Ah……”

Our team moves around a lot, so at one restaurant I asked if we could have a separate room on the third floor, and they said they’d have to ask the owner. I said, “Go ahead and ask.” The owner said, “Give it to them,” and so they did.

One time our team was eating there, and there were lots of tables, and four young people came in and sat down next to us. We couldn’t tell them to leave. The four of them sat next to us and were extremely loud. Talking at the top of their voices. What they were saying – they weren’t being careful at all. Restaurant owners are doing it because the law says to, not because they understand why. The people who come into the restaurant don’t understand why they have to sit apart either. So that’s why tens of thousands of cases keep being produced in this situation. You need to be careful and endure just a little longer.

There is something more important. We must now prepare for the contactless age. It’s not because of COVID. I’m a little sorry to say this, but the work you are currently doing – later it will be like public telephone booths on the street. Does anyone use public telephone booths anymore? But they haven’t been removed yet. That’s how it will be. There’s no reason to use them. You need to prepare like this for the contactless age.

Right now, at the upper room headquarters, we are preparing perfectly. The teams can barely even grasp it. That’s why broadcasting and these kinds of systems are extremely important. There’s one church in Seoul that’s quite famous right now, and we examined it. The number of people listening to our sermons is more than double theirs. They have fewer than half, yet they’re blowing up on YouTube for other things. Looking at it, they’re bringing in celebrities and doing all sorts of things. The problem is that their broadcast system is better than KBS. What that means right now is that these people, even though they’re going about it the wrong way, are preparing for the future in some sense. It is a significant sign from God. Your organizations – just casually uploading things won’t work. If you don’t build a contactless and communication system good enough to make people say, “Wow, what on earth is this place?” – it won’t do. The same applies to world evangelization.

God does not permit problems for no reason. It looks like it’s all due to what people have done, but in the background, when you look at everything in the end, God’s plan is there. In the old days when epidemics spread wildly, people wondered why such diseases were spreading, but because of those diseases many medicines were developed and things like penicillin came out. If those hadn’t been developed, we’d all be in serious trouble. God has an enormous plan for the future.

▣ Introduction

1. Something hidden that is exerting great influence, yet we are completely unaware of it

In the midst of all this, there is something that is completely hidden from us that we don’t know. We are being greatly influenced by it yet we think we aren’t. Do you know what it is? There are 300,000 shamans who influence half the people of South Korea.

1) Korea as a shamanistic nation, the struggles of returned shamans

A returned shaman confessed to me. In reality, we receive so much grace and it feels so good, but sometimes it becomes spiritually very difficult. And there is no church that understands this, they said. That’s understandable. Korea is truly, in reality, a shamanistic nation. But this person came to understand and returned. It feels so liberating and good, but there are times when things that have been imprinted keep coming up. And when those problems arise, no one can help. That’s the reality.

They are completely in the dark about it. There’s no way to know, and even if they looked into it there are no countermeasures, and there’s no ability to deal with it. The government can’t take responsibility. Scientists can’t take responsibility.

2) The words of Jesus

Jesus spoke about this. Do you know what Jesus said when He first came?

(1) Mark 3:13-15 Jesus’ first words

In Mark chapter 3, verses 13 to 15, He said this: “I called you to be with me. Also, I called you to evangelize.”

(2) Mark 16:15-20 The last words of the risen Jesus

And He said these words: “I called you to give you authority to cast out demons.” Those are Jesus’ first words. Would those be meaningless words? And what did Jesus say at the end? After the resurrection: “Cast out demons in my name and lay hands on the sick.” Those are the things He did during his public ministry.

(3) Matthew 8:14-17

And in today’s passage as well, it is recorded that many demon-possessed people came and the demons were cast out and they were healed. It says that when he laid hands on Peter’s mother-in-law she was healed of a fever.

3) The cause of illness and the answer

Some say, “All illness comes from demon possession.” Some organizations say, “No.” There are such debates. They are largely unnecessary debates. Both are wrong.

(1) Cause – Genesis 3, it came when humanity departed from God

From Genesis 3, after departing from God, all of it came. Right? God did not give disease when He originally created things. It came after departing from God.

(2) Answer – Matthew 8:17 (Isaiah 53:5)

So in today’s passage, at the end, it says according to the words of the prophet Isaiah, “He bore our weaknesses.” It is recorded in Isaiah chapter 53, verse 4. People are completely unaware of this.

2. Reality

1) The task of the church

More importantly, the church is completely unaware of this area. It is the task of the church. In Korean churches there is much talk about theories of demons and so forth, isn’t there? Not a single theologian has emerged to give an answer to that. Then what are people who have returned from shamanism supposed to do? Korean churches asked me, “Why does Pastor Ryu talk about Satan?” “More than 500 of the 300,000 shamans have come to our upper room. I have to tell those people what is in the Bible.” Because it’s true. Right? The current church situation is completely lacking in reality. So the returned shamans’ suffering is immense. There’s no need to even elaborate on that.

2) The task of the age

The bigger problem is that this is the task of the age. People who have these hidden problems have nowhere to go because scientists aren’t shedding light on it and doctors aren’t shedding light on it. So they go and perform shamanistic rituals. Because they are suffering. So they go looking for fortune-tellers, spending money on it.

3) Satan has exploited this to create three organizations

The problem isn’t even that. What’s happening now is that Satan is exploiting this and has created three organizations. You may hear this casually, but it is true. When your children go abroad to study, they will all be influenced by this. What these three organizations primarily do is conduct spirit-possession movements, placing the very scientific-sounding word “meditation” as the framework. In doing this, they first cause spiritual problems to arise. And then power manifests, doesn’t it? They have now begun to use this to create works. Our next generation has to go there and learn from them. It’s an unavoidable situation.

Did Jesus come to this earth for no reason and leave having done meaningless things? That can’t be right, can it? Would God mobilize 40 prophets in the Bible to prophesy and then have meaningless things fulfilled? This is a serious matter right now. Three organizations are now conducting spirit-possession movements through demon-possession, and they call this “meditation.” It has become an enormous commotion. Only Christians are uninterested – it is a commotion everywhere else. They established a university. A meditation university, I tell you. BTS graduated from there, didn’t they? They speak of it proudly: “I graduated from that meditation school.” What will become of them later? This is the kind of immense thing that is happening right now.

4) Temple Stay

Not stopping at that, Temple Stay has now risen at Buddhist temples. Among 237 nations, last year alone visitors came from 200 nations for Temple Stay. Only we have our eyes closed, only Christians have their eyes closed, only pastors have their eyes closed – it is a commotion right now. There are people who say, “That pastor is criticizing pastors again – Pastor Ryu is criticizing pastors again.” There are also people who say to me, “Pastor Ryu, when you preach like that, it emboldens the church leaders.” Is it emboldening them? Does a righteous church leader hear something like this, get emboldened, and then disrespect the pastor? You shouldn’t make such kindergarten-level arguments. It is a commotion right now. 5 million people came and went, I tell you. 5 million. And the church is shrinking, yet during the COVID period 5 million came and went. And it doesn’t stop there.

5) Individual problems

Individuals who face this problem have no way to resolve it. It worsens day by day. You must return to the Word. You must truly hold on to the Word of the covenant.

3. One thing to remember

There is one thing you must remember as you hold on today. Did someone get possessed by a spirit? Later spiritual problems will come and it will be of no help. And some people say, “We must cast out demons…” – it’s no use, they come back. It’s useless. There was such a person in our Dongsam-dong area. They weren’t from our church but they came frequently to worship with us. Agonizing over things, they came to me for counseling. “Pastor, my daughter suddenly went out of her mind.” So they were so troubled they went all the way to Seoul to see Pastor Kim Gi-dong. They had heard the rumor about him casting out demons and took their daughter along. “So what happened?” They couldn’t meet Pastor Kim Gi-dong and met an associate pastor instead. The associate pastor looked at the daughter and prayed for her. “An uncle’s demon has entered her,” he said. So he cast out the uncle’s demon. Now she’s better, they said. “Is that so. That’s good.” “But can I trust that?” I explained to them: “There is no such thing as an uncle’s demon. The demon is deceiving you.” Sure enough, that daughter became even more seriously afflicted. Before, she could at least hold a conversation, but now even conversation was impossible. It is completely useless.

1) The ringleader who moves the demons – Satan

There is something important. The most important thing is that there is a ringleader who moves these demons. That is Satan. Right?

2) Jesus, who broke Satan’s authority

It says that Jesus broke Satan’s authority.

(1) 1 John 3:8

In 1 John chapter 3, verse 8: “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”

(2) Genesis 3:15

In Genesis chapter 3, verse 15: “Jesus will come and break the authority of the devil.” Not in those exact words, but: “The offspring of the woman will come and crush the head of the serpent.” That is how it ended. For those who have returned from shamanism – when you sleep at night, demons will come to you. It doesn’t matter at all.

▣ Main

1. What no one teaches – the moment you know why Christ came, darkness is bound.

This is the first point. No one will teach you this. The moment you know why Christ came, darkness is bound. Right? The moment you know why Jesus Christ came, darkness is finished, I tell you. Everything else is deception. Do not be deceived. No matter how many times they come, it doesn’t matter. You are children of God. It is finished.

1) Genesis 3:15

Genesis chapter 3, verse 15 – these are not just words. It is the very moment when all of humanity’s destruction was entering in, and at that moment God immediately gave the answer, without even asking. Why? Asking would be of no use. He did not even rebuke. Why? Rebuking would be of no use. He immediately gave the answer. The offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. Without asking, because – asking would not help.

If your son fell into a swamp, would you ask him questions? Would you ask, “Why did you go in there?” You have to quickly pull him out, because he can’t get out. In water you can at least swim, but in a swamp if you move you sink deeper. Bringing out the law there and asking again and again why he went that way is of no use. Isn’t that right? The child is dying right now – does it matter which foot went in first, left or right? That’s all useless. Quickly throw a rope: “Grab on.” That is salvation. Because we cannot overcome darkness and Satan, God sent Christ – hold on to this covenant.

2) Genesis 6:14

In Genesis chapter 6, verse 14: all you need to do is enter the ark.

3) Exodus 3:18

“Being trapped in Egypt is not the problem; you are trapped in darkness, so go and offer a blood sacrifice.” When you know, it is finished.

4) Isaiah 7:14

“Is Babylonian captivity the problem? Every soul among you is now in captivity. Restore the blessing of Immanuel.” That is Isaiah chapter 7, verse 14.

5) Matthew 16:16

“No matter how much even the finest among you struggle, what good does it do? You are a vassal of Rome. And that is even more importantly – you are a vassal under the power of darkness.” “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” was confessed. That is how it ends. No one teaches this, because they don’t know.

2. What no one can do – the moment you enjoy Christ, many works begin to happen in me and in the field.

This is the second point. No one can do it. The moment you enjoy Christ, works begin to happen in me and in the field and in much of the darkness. One person arose who understood this. Who is it? Paul. That learned man understood it. When a learned man understands something, surely he can do it right. Even Peter, who walked with Jesus and saw everything – it was Paul who had not seen but who understood.

1) Acts 13

So what are the three fields that changed the age? Acts chapter 13 – he healed a shaman.

2) Acts 16

Acts chapter 16 – he healed a demon-possessed fortune-teller.

3) Acts 19

In Acts chapter 19, he healed the sick who were dying because of idol worship. No one could do it. Jesus did it.

3. What no one can give – when you are filled with Christ, the age is transformed.

This is the third point. No one can give it. When you are filled with Christ, works begin to happen. That is when the age changes. The moment you know Christ, it is finished. Right? That’s why He asked, “Who do you say that I am?” The moment you know, it is already finished. When you enjoy it, transformation happens. When you are truly filled with this, the age changes.

1) Matthew 28:18-20

So the risen Lord said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” If you don’t believe it, that’s your loss – Jesus said it. “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Invisibly – He said this after rising from the dead.

2) Mark 16:15-20

“Lay hands on the sick in my name and they will recover. In my name you will cast out demons.” Christ said this after rising from the dead, I tell you. Christ is not one who speaks meaningless words like us. Christ did.

3) Acts 1:8

“Not by your own strength, but receive the Holy Spirit and you will receive power. Your own strength is not enough, so He will give it from above. And so you will save to life those whom no one else can save.”

▣ Conclusion

1. The reason you must understand this – your work, your culture, and the next generation that will arise are all contained here.

Do you know why you absolutely must understand this? Your current work, your culture, the next generation that will arise – all of it is contained here.

Let me give an example. Because Freemason active members are special individuals, the Freemasons specially supported and enabled spirit-possession movements – that person moved nearly the entire 20th century. Who is that? Isn’t it Michael Jackson? Because transformation happened wherever Michael Jackson went, some countries said, “Don’t come.” He is a confirmed Freemason. So these Freemasons, these demons – they work like demons. Somehow they know, and they make contact.

The problem isn’t even that. Invisibly, they’ve burrowed deep inside you, inside your next generation. And so now that we know the Remnant, a great answer will emerge going forward. Who is it? You. In that team there are even photos, and Steve Jobs, who was always meditating when he went there, changed the age.

Bill Gates completely seized the age through the New Age movement that openly declares, “We serve Satan.” At least for a time. We are churches scraping by with no money – that’s the reality of Korean churches, of world churches – while these people donate tens of trillions of won. We need to wake up. We need to pray.

The problem is the 4th Industrial Revolution. You truly need to pray about what you are doing now. Demons you wouldn’t even think about – why did Jesus talk about them? We use the word casually ourselves, don’t we? When someone does something really well, we say, “Wow, that’s devilishly good.” It’s a word we use in jest. But the Bible speaks of it as something serious and important. Yet the three organizations have seized the next generation by holding on to this.

2. He has given us authority to overcome, so hold on to this covenant and pray.

You must pray. Hold firmly to this covenant. Has He not given us authority to overcome?

1) Because God gave it, just believe.

You can hold on to this by faith. Because this is what God gave.

2) Focus just a little and works will happen.

If you focus just a little, works will happen.

3) Go deep in prayer and the world will move.

If you go deep into prayer here? The world will move. It’s not a command – just believe. Why is that? Because this spiritual world is immense, and if you don’t believe, you simply don’t know it. That’s what you don’t know. So going to do mission with that power? You can’t even do it. Everyone is truly brave. But you can’t do it. Right now, the upper room missionaries in Africa and South America are doing a tremendous work. Until now, many missionaries have gone without ever hearing a single word about spiritual problems. If you go there right away, you will be overwhelmed – an ordinary person would be. They grip people and fight using qi exercises. Some people have even died just from hearing certain spells being chanted. It’s an astonishing thing. These things are happening wildly in developing nations. And in developed nations it’s coming out in a scientific form. The convergence point for all of that is inevitably – there’s no way around it. That is America. So that’s why I pray for America and say I want to establish a university there. Other people won’t do. Just raise up people who truly know the gospel.

3. There is no need to fear having spiritual problems. – When God’s Word is imprinted, no one knows what will happen.

Today there is no need for you to fear having spiritual problems.

There was a person named Crosby who accidentally put in medicine meant for someone else and lost their eyesight. Well, back in the old days that’s how it was. Back then if someone on the street saw you and said, “This is good stuff,” and gave it to you, you would take it. That’s how she lost her sight. No one could help. Fortunately, her grandmother and mother were people of the gospel. Crosby had nothing to do. Because all she could do was hear the gospel, memorize the Word, and nothing else, since she couldn’t see. No one ever imagined this would overturn the world. People don’t believe it. They really don’t believe it. A person with perfectly functioning eyes doesn’t believe it. But Crosby believed.

Looking at the news recently, when asked what the greatest concern of our nation is, the answer is that people aren’t having children and the population keeps shrinking. Once something like this becomes imprinted through education, it lasts at least 100 years. From my observation it will probably continue for a few more decades. Because when we were young, that’s exactly how we were educated. Do you know what we were taught? That you shouldn’t have too many children. That’s what they kept teaching. To what extent? We – what would our children produce? They even posted it in classrooms. Don’t have too many, and what they posted was: “Don’t distinguish between sons and daughters, don’t have too many, raise just two children well.” And they used every policy available. That’s how powerful government is. They used every policy available. So men who got vasectomies to prevent having children were exempted from reserve military training. They educated us like that for decades. Education is frightening. Even the person themselves doesn’t know the power of education. That’s what got into our nation. And looking at it now – this is a real problem. No matter how much people say it, it’s no use. “You need to have more children.” People don’t listen anymore. It will continue for decades.

When God’s Word is imprinted inside you, what will happen – even you yourself truly don’t know. Something truly immense and important will happen. I bless you in the name of Jesus that this week will be a precious week in which you confirm what God’s true blessing is.

Prayer. God, work by Your Holy Spirit upon our family members throughout the nation and the world. Open our spiritual eyes so that every field truly triumphs. Make us spiritual evangelists who save those who don’t even know they have fallen into darkness. I pray that this week will be a precious week in which we receive new strength. May all our problems and worries become blessings and praise. May this be a week in which the weak receive strength. May this be a week in which we hold on to God’s true new covenant. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Seizing the Future in Your Prayer

Jeremiah 33:1-3. While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the Lord came to him a second time: “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’


As you pray with thanksgiving, recognizing the flow of God’s Word and focusing on Him alone, remarkable healing will take place in your life. Your thoughts will be aligned, your heart will be restored, and your spiritual eyes will be opened. Then God will begin to show you what is to come (Jeremiah 33:3).

Before seeking counsel about your future, first remember the Word God has already given you through your local church, worship, and daily meditation on Scripture. Jeremiah received this promise while confined in the courtyard of the guard (Jeremiah 33:1), reminding us that God’s answers are not determined by our circumstances. Even when the situation appears hopeless, God continues to speak and fulfill His covenant.

Remember who your Father is—the One “who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name” (Jeremiah 33:2). He created all things, sustains all things, and governs all things according to His sovereign purpose. Nothing is beyond His authority, and nothing is too difficult for Him.

Therefore, your responsibility is simple: call upon Him. When you pray, your Father will answer in ways that surpass your expectations. He will reveal His plans, His wisdom, and His purposes that were previously hidden from your understanding. He will show you not merely what you want to see, but what you need to see from His perspective.

God will open your eyes to the true reality of this world—a world covered in spiritual darkness, broken by sin, and suffering under countless disasters, conflicts, and calamities (Jeremiah 33:4-5). Yet He will also reveal His answer to humanity’s deepest problem: the mystery of Christ. Through the gospel, God brings life where there is death, light where there is darkness, and hope where there is despair.

As you carry this gospel wherever you go, God will use your life as a channel of His healing and restoration. Through the message of Christ, He will bring health, peace, security, forgiveness, and reconciliation to those who hear and believe. In this way, your life will bring Him renown, joy, praise, and honor before the nations. People will hear of the good things God has done and stand in awe of His grace and faithfulness (Jeremiah 33:6-9).

Therefore, do not be discouraged by your present circumstances. Your Father is fully aware of them. In fact, He is using them to prepare you for the answers He desires to give and the works He intends to accomplish through you.

Crises reveal a person’s true spiritual condition. An experienced captain proves his ability not in calm waters but in the midst of a storm. Likewise, trials reveal the true color of our faith. They expose what we genuinely trust and where our hope is anchored.

Do not waste your trials by complaining, nor magnify them through fear. Instead, receive them with thanksgiving, knowing that God can use every hardship for your growth. As Scripture teaches, trials produce perseverance so that you may become mature and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:2-4).

Use difficult seasons to renew your strength in Christ, realign your life with God’s purpose, and press forward toward the goal He has prepared for you. Turn every worry into one simple question: “What is God’s plan?” It shifts your focus from your problem to God’s purpose.

We can approach Him with confidence because “if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14). Therefore, seek His will above your own desires. His plans are always better than your expectations.

Do not cling to old wounds, painful memories, or bitterness toward others. Unforgiveness hinders both spiritual growth and prayer. Instead, forgive as you have been forgiven. As your heart is cleansed before God, your confidence in prayer will grow (1 John 3:21-23).

Connect every meeting, every event, every challenge, and every relationship to God’s Word through prayer. Jesus said: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7).

A branch does not struggle to produce fruit. It simply remains connected to the vine. Through that connection, life continually flows into it. In the same way, when you remain in Christ, and His Word remains in you, spiritual life, wisdom, strength, and fruitfulness will naturally flow from Him into your life.

Most importantly, pray in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is the believer’s greatest privilege and confidence. It is the only name through which we approach God and receive answers to prayer: “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” (John 16:24).

This is the name that broke the power of Satan. This is the name that removed the root cause of humanity’s problems through the cross. This is the name that transferred us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.

Therefore, prayers offered in Jesus’ name are powerful and effective because they are grounded in His finished work. As God accomplishes His purposes, He also mobilizes His heavenly hosts to serve His redemptive plan (Hebrews 12:22).

Never become discouraged in prayer. Even when you do not know what to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26).

Prayer is not merely presenting requests to God. Prayer is the awareness and enjoyment of God’s presence. It is fellowship with your Father.

When you realize that you live continually before the Creator of heaven and earth, worry begins to lose its grip on your heart. The more you know Him, the less you will be consumed by earthly concerns. Eventually, you will discover that God’s greatest gift is not the answer to prayer but God Himself.

You will desire Him more than His blessings. You will treasure His presence more than His gifts.

Being alone with Him in worship and prayer will become your greatest joy. Throughout the day, enjoy the privilege of communing with your Father, listening to His voice, and walking with Him.

As God reveals His plans through His Word and answers your prayers according to His will, He will raise you up as a witness of Christ. He will give you wisdom to guide others, courage to proclaim the gospel, and influence to lead many toward righteousness.

Then your life will become a testimony of God’s faithfulness. You will stand as Christ’s witness before your generation, serving as His spiritual ambassador and watchman wherever He sends you (Isaiah 55:4).


Prayer. Father, I thank You for answering me and revealing great and unsearchable things that I do not know through Your Word. Open my eyes to see Your plans and purposes in every circumstance. Fill me with thanksgiving, faith, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Help me to remain in Christ, pray according to Your will, and trust You in every situation. Send me as Christ’s witness to lead many to righteousness and to fight the good fight of faith until the end. May my life bring glory to Your name and advance Your kingdom wherever I go.
