「The Path of the Remnant Summit」
(Php 3:1-16)

Philippians 3:1-16

01 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.

02 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh.

03 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—

04 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more:

05 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;

06 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

07 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

08 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ

09 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Summary

There are traits shared by the most successful Remnants, the ones who receive answers. They attend the middle and high school worship service alone in full, then also attend the adult service. They even listen to the entire Work Ministry message.

We must now hold both the Remnant Conference and, once it ends, the three-day weekend age. So there is something we must first understand. Our Remnants have a great deal of conflict. Their brains are still very much alive, so they grow while going through this. Older people, having lived longer, already have answers and hold on to confidence or stubbornness. If that is the case, we cannot have a conversation with a Remnant.

In the midst of this, we must hold a word forum. So the conclusion I have reached is that it must come through the moving of the Holy Spirit. “No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

“The Way of Remnant Summit”

In this important time, we must show the Remnant the way to the summit.

They themselves may not know it, but a future is clearly being prepared. Remnants have many advantages because so much time remains on their timetable. So the Summit Committee must reference this. It is normal for the young people to waver and struggle. That is how they find the way. They stumble and rise up. That is how a Remnant is raised up.

There are a few questions Remnants must ask along with you.

1. Power

What power do I need? So the word I coined is “Heavenly Power.”

2. Talent

What is my talent? This talent must be something given by God from the throne. So I called it “Thronely Talent.”

3. Mission

From the exact day I take hold of the mission God has given me, an exact answer begins.

▣ Main.

What way to the summit must we show our Remnants?

1. Me – First, we must save ourselves. Because we already have far too much, we must conquer ourselves.

1. Genesis 3, 6, 11 We are born entangled by Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11, so we cannot pray. From the moment of Adam’s fall we became entangled in Genesis chapter 3. We are ruled under the dominion of the Nephilim. We are within the culture of the Tower of Babel.

2. Others We keep studying things that have nothing to do with God.

3. Wrong Even wrong things get imprinted. What must we do?

1) Bartizan of Throne (Universe)

Remnants must without fail build the bartizan of the throne. This is essential. This is mostly built in the morning. Remnants must not miss the morning. In the morning, completely empty your thoughts and turn all of life into prayer. Slowly, breathing at ease. You must find great leisure in the morning. Among these things, when something you must make 300 percent comes to you, you must rise even earlier. That’s when you start waking the dawn. The morning prayer time is the time that conquers the universe.

2) Journey of Throne (World)

What happens during meetings in the daytime is entirely a matter of confirming prayer, because you are going on the journey to the throne, and that is the time you conquer the world. So remember: the 7 Remnants delivered God’s mystery to every person they met. That is when they conquered the world. Joseph delivered the mystery to Pharaoh. Daniel, taken to Babylon, delivered the mystery to the king. So those who truly pray have different eyes for seeing people. This is world evangelization.

3) Guidepost of Throne (Future)

So Remnants must leave a 300 percent work at night. That is called the guidepost. It is also the guidepost of the throne. Only this way can we save the future. Take the strength you have and make it 300 percent so you can stand against the developed nations.

2. World

Second. The way to the summit is to save the world. But the world has too many hidden problems.

Darkness – So to save the world, we must first conquer darkness. That is why He gave us the light. That is why we must be bold. Go in my name.

How much victory over the world must we receive as a blessing? “Everything I have boasted of until now—I consider it garbage.” Because it blocked the gospel, he considered it loss. Because we must evangelize the world.

1) Christ

“Knowing Christ is the highest knowledge. I want to be found in him. I have accomplished nothing, gained nothing. I am not a success.” This is the basic starting point. “I press on toward the goal for the call from above.”

2) Throne

“My citizenship is in heaven.” This is how world evangelization happens.

3) Name

He gave us the name that subjects all things—the name of Christ. We must receive this to accomplish world evangelization.

3. Future

Third. You must conquer the future. That is the way to the summit.

Restoration – We have lost everything, so we must recover.

1) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8 They evangelized the Jews first. They started by entering the synagogue.

2) Acts 19:21, 23:11, 27:24 The goal is to evangelize Rome.

3) Galatians 3:28 They turned the culture upside down. “In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, neither Gentile nor Jew, neither white nor black; all are one.”

Changing the Remnant Summit Committee’s dedication service to the first service was a well-guided decision.

If you recall, there are traits shared by the truly successful Remnants of the past. They attend the middle and high school worship service alone in full, and also attend the adult service. Even now, the Remnants who receive answers listen to the entire Work Ministry message. Even those who also study well listen to it—when do they even find time?

Right now we must hold both the Remnant Conference and, once it ends, the three-day weekend age as well. So first we must understand something. Even though our Remnants act like they aren’t struggling, they have a great deal of conflict. Because their brains are still very much alive, that’s how they grow. It’s different from older people. Older people, having lived so much, already have their answers. That doesn’t mean we should throw major problems at our Remnants to build their confidence, right? This process of struggling and wandering is how it forms. We must understand this. The older you get, the more it’s either confidence or stubbornness. You hold onto that. Mostly stubbornness, but you hold onto it. Then you cannot have a conversation with a Remnant. Now, going forward, we have to talk about the three-day weekend age—how will that go? “Oh, we communicate well with our parents, our Remnant, our kids,” some people say. It won’t really be like that. Someone is just humoring you right now. Kids act as though they’re communicating with their parents because they have to, but it can’t really happen. Maybe some adults pretend to be close friends with kids just to flatter them—that’s not real understanding. We must understand this before we go into the forum. It’s the same at home. Women’s brains are made to talk more than men’s. Isn’t that right? And men get headaches if they listen to too much of that too. Right?

So, in the midst of this, we must now hold a word forum. So the conclusion I’ve reached is that it must come through the moving of the Holy Spirit. Age matters, the brain matters, but only the moving of the Holy Spirit makes it possible. 1 Corinthians 12:3 says, “No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit.” “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth.”

“The Way of Remnant Summit”

Now, in this important time, what must we tell them? We must show them the way. What way? We must show the Remnant the way to the summit.

They themselves may not know it, but the future is clearly being prepared. The one advantage I have over you is just one thing—I have a bit more experience. You, Remnants, have many advantages. Why? Because you have so much time left on your timetable. In this situation, we are worshiping together right now. So the Summit Committee must reference this together with the Remnants. The kids waver, they struggle. That is normal. That’s how they find the way. And if the kids stumble a bit, treating it as a huge deal means you truly haven’t lived life much yourself. Kids stumble and rise up—that’s how it happens, right? That’s how you can raise up a Remnant.

First, there are a few questions Remnants must have together with you. These questions truly must be asked.

1. Power

What power do I need? Do I have power? So the word I made so you wouldn’t forget is “Heavenly Power.” You must ask this question.

2. Talent

What exactly is my talent? You must absolutely find this. This talent must be something God gave from the throne. So I call it “Thronely Talent.” You must ask this question.

3. Mission

From the exact day the mission God gave me is taken hold of, the exact answer begins. Age and education don’t matter.

▣ Main.

Now, raising up the Remnant who will build our summit—this is, in some sense, a great responsibility. Right? What way to the summit must we show our Remnant?

1. Me

First. We must save ourselves first. But to put it precisely, we already have too much. So we must conquer ourselves.

[ 1. Genesis 3, 6, 11 ]

Why? Because we are born entangled by Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11, we cannot pray. “I just can’t pray”—that’s normal. There are people who pray fervently from childhood; that’s a bit unusual. Not being able to pray is normal. You can’t do it. From the moment of Adam’s fall, we became entangled in Genesis chapter 3. I’m sorry to say, but we are under the rule of the Nephilim. Right? You must find tremendous leisure in the morning. Remnant. Among these things, when something you feel you must make 300 percent comes to you, then you must get up even earlier than usual, not just in the morning. That’s when you start waking the dawn. Remnant, you must remember this.

The morning prayer time is the time that conquers the universe. It’s certain. Remnants, you must not miss this.

2) Journey of Throne (World)

What happens within meetings is entirely a confirmation of prayer, and your daytime, the time of meetings, is the time you conquer the world. Why? Because you are going on the journey to the throne. You are on the journey to the throne right now. You must keep this in mind. So remember this: the 7 Remnants delivered God’s mystery to every single person they met.

That’s when they conquered the world. Understand? Remnants, you must not miss this. Morning time is the time that conquers the universe. Just five minutes is enough. In the morning, the bartizan of the throne is formed within you. In the daytime, it is the time you seek out or deliver God’s mystery.

Joseph delivered the mystery to Pharaoh. Right? It wasn’t that he passed on a method or gave money. Daniel, who was taken to Babylon, delivered the mystery to the king. So those who truly pray have different eyes for seeing this person. Right? The eyes differ whether things go well or poorly. This is world evangelization. Because of Potiphar’s wife, he became prime minister. Remnant, don’t miss this.

Conquer yourself. Right now I am caught up in this (Genesis 3, 6, 11, other things, wrong things). I cannot pray. I can’t concentrate. Fix it quickly.

3) Guidepost of Throne (Future)

So a Remnant must leave a 300 percent work at night. That is called a guidepost. It is also the guidepost of the throne.

Only this way can you save the future. Now, this might run a bit long today, but you still must not miss this. People from Oceania are here right now. You must make the strength you have 300 percent to be able to stand against developed nations. That’s called a guidepost. When is this made? At night. If this bartizan is formed in the daytime, naturally it comes out like this at night.

2. World

Second. The way to the summit is saving the world. But the world has hidden problems that are too great.

So to save the world, we must first conquer darkness. To save this (the world), we must first conquer this (darkness). That’s why He gave us light. So we must be bold. “Go in my name.”

1) Christ

So Paul said this. “Knowing Christ is the highest knowledge. I want to be found in him.” He said something tremendous. “I have accomplished nothing, gained nothing. I am not a success.” This much is the standard.

Worldly things—people fail to overcome them and wander until they die. That kind of success is, of course, nothing at all. If you succeed in the world, enjoy the blessing—that’s a given. Don’t even hesitate about that. If I succeed by praying and studying? That’s basic. If I got into a top university? That’s basic. That’s not what I’m talking about. “I press on toward the goal of the call from above. My citizenship is in heaven.” This is a tremendous message. This is how world evangelization happens.

2) Throne

This is exactly what he’s talking about (Throne). And what did he say?

3) Name

“He gave me the name that subjects all things.” Christ. “The name that subjects all things”—everyone, you must receive this to accomplish world evangelization. Just barely getting by, scraping meals together—is that fine? Yes, having no money, barely scraping by. That’s not a crime. It’s no wrongdoing. But it must change. Right? Do it 300 percent.

For those from Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, Papua New Guinea trying to save developed nations, there is only one way. Receiving the power of the throne 300 percent. Is it possible? It’s possible. Absolutely possible.

3. Future

Third. You must conquer the future. That is the way to the summit. You must save the future. In other words, you must conquer the future. Why? Because we have lost everything. Right? Put more positively, we must recover.

Everything has been taken. It must be done. So Paul did three things.

1) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8

First, they evangelized the Jews. They evangelized the Jews first. That’s why they started by entering the synagogue.

2) Acts 19:21, 23:11, 27:24

What is the goal? It’s evangelizing Rome. “We must also see Rome.” “We must testify in Rome.” “We must stand before Caesar.” It’s not merely this.

This must come into your soul. Textbook. This word “text” originally means a message is being delivered. This “book” means a meeting, a connection.

For parents not to teach this is the most wicked thing they could do. It pushes our children into permanent hardship. Don’t you see it? So, Remnants, this time it’s fine if you waver, fine if you collapse. Just rise up. Right? It can even become a better experience. “Why is that kid wandering like that?” No. They are in the middle of finding the way. Right? “Why is that kid acting so strange?” No. They are searching for something. So in the end, the Remnant is in God’s hand.

Today was important, so it ran a bit long. Pray until you understand it, until it becomes your own. Let’s pray.

Genesis 21:1-8

01 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.

02 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.

03 Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him.

04 When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him.

05 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

06 Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

07 And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

08 The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.

Summary

Remnants and church leaders who came from overseas, and all Remnants, must know what the power of God is. When the word entered in childhood, it changed the world.

1. Genesis 37:1-11

When Joseph was young, he held onto this word of God in his heart. Then the power of this word appeared throughout the whole world. That is why we hold the Remnant Conference. A person whose mind became deranged and who killed many people—that resentment entered him in childhood. That wound entered in childhood. Later, the problem grew to a point the person himself could not overcome. Conversely, because the covenant entered Joseph in childhood, it saved the whole world.

2. Exodus 2:1-10

When Moses was young, the covenant entered him. So it came to save the whole world.

3. Psalm 78:70-72

When David was young, the word entered him.

1. John 1:1-14

What exactly is this word? John 1:1-14 says the Word was God himself. God created by the Word, and even when Christ came, the Word became flesh.

2. Ecclesiastes – a well-fastened nail

Ecclesiastes says the word of God is like a well-fastened nail.

3. Isaiah

Isaiah says that all the glory of Israel will hang on this well-fastened nail. Remnants must go carrying this blessing—that the word of God is not only God himself, but all the glory of Israel will hang on it.

Genesis 18:12

At first Abraham could not believe the word of God. Even Genesis 18:12 records that he laughed.

Genesis 18:17

Even Abraham’s wife Sarah laughed. We have many such cases.

Genesis 21:1-7

But one day, as promised, Isaac was born. We cannot believe the word of God by our own reasoning, but when we believe the word of God, it works with power. We must have this experience.

▷ Carry the covenant with you. All seven Remnants did this. You adults here must pass the covenant on to the Remnants. And then you yourselves will experience the power of this word. Why is that?

▣ Main

1. Solving all problems

Once we receive the power of God, problems begin to be solved. From the beginning He promised, “Through you all nations will be blessed. I will be with you.” He kept saying this, but Abraham did not believe it. Then one day he began building an altar. Even so, he did not believe a son would be born. Even Sarah, even Abraham, laughed. God said, “Is anything too hard for me?” There’s no need to hold onto anything else. Believe the word of God, He is saying. The word of God has the power of creation. That’s why, especially when you take hold of it in childhood, a complete work happens. Everything promised in Scripture has all been fulfilled. Only one thing has not been fulfilled. What is it? The Lord’s coming again.

2. Preparing the vessel

Second, we must remember this. When you take hold of this covenant and prepare the vessel, it will be filled. He took him to Mount Moriah. He was preparing the vessel.

3. God’s timetable

This surely exists. God’s timetable.

That is why we must always believe these three things. Our elders, especially the elders and church leaders, must ask what covenant God has given you. This one thing changes a life.

▷ The covenant I took hold of when young was correct gospel, correct evangelism. If you hold the wrong gospel, evangelism does not happen. If you know the gospel wrongly, evangelism and missions do not happen. You will hold the word wrongly too. Correct gospel is within the word of God. Then you come to understand what evangelism is. From that point, answers come. A pastor must preach the gospel correctly. He must know what evangelism is and make church members live. He must know what missions is and stop the disasters of the world. You must take hold of exactly this covenant and go.

We, and Remnants who came from overseas, and all Remnants, and church leaders, must know what the power of God is.

▣ Introduction_ RT

When young, when a Remnant, if this word enters, it changes the world.

1. Genesis 37:1-11

As you know, when Joseph was young he held onto this word of God. So this word of God, once held, has its power appear throughout the whole world. That’s why we hold the Remnant Conference. There is a person whose mind became deranged and who killed many people. That resentment—when did it enter? It entered in childhood. That wound entered in childhood. Even Genesis chapter 18, verse 12, says he laughed. He laughed because he was told he would be given a son. It didn’t make sense.

Genesis 18:17

Even Abraham’s wife Sarah laughed. We have many such cases.

Genesis 21:1-7

But one day, as you know, Isaac was born exactly as promised.

So we cannot completely believe the word of God with our own thinking, but when we believe the word of God, He works with power. This time, we must have this experience. What must we carry? It’s not difficult. Carry the covenant. You don’t need to listen to anything else. Carry the covenant. All seven Remnants did exactly this. You, our adults here, must pass the covenant on to the Remnants. And you yourselves will come to experience the power of this word.

Why is that?

This is what they didn’t believe. “Through you all nations will be blessed. I will be with you.” He kept saying this, but Abraham did not believe it. Then one day he began building an altar. Even so, he did not believe a son would be born. Even Sarah, even Abraham, laughed, they say. So God said, “Is anything too hard for me?”

Today, you don’t need to hold onto anything else. Believe the word of God. Why? Because people’s words are heard too, but the word of God has the power of creation. So especially when you take hold of it in childhood, a complete work happens. Everything promised in Scripture has all been fulfilled. Only one thing has not been fulfilled. What is it? The Lord’s coming again. That remains, so it is not yet fulfilled. Everything else has been fulfilled. Prophecies about each nation? They have all been fulfilled exactly. All problems solved.

2. Preparing the vessel

Second, we must remember this. When you take hold of this covenant and prepare the vessel, it will be filled. So look for yourselves at the Scripture passages about Abraham that come up now. All of them are about preparing the vessel. He takes him to Mount Moriah. What is it? He was preparing the vessel.

3. God’s timetable

This surely exists. It is God’s timetable.

So we must always believe these three things. Our elders, especially elders, our church leaders, must ask what covenant God has given you. You must definitely do this. So I thought praying wasn’t going to be answered. So I nearly stopped praying altogether. Because it wasn’t answered. From the moment I took hold of the covenant. One day. A covenant that exactly matched my heart took hold. ‘A pastor must, whatever else, preach the gospel correctly. He must know what evangelism is and make church members live. He must know what missions is and stop the world’s disasters.’ I took hold of exactly this covenant.

So you must take hold of it and go. All missionaries in Korea must firmly hold onto the Scripture about what covenant God has given for the rest of my life. In Genesis 18:17 God said this: “Shall I hide from you what I am about to do?” God gives the word first and then fulfills it. Don’t hold your own covenant like Hannah did—hold God’s covenant. Understood? Don’t hold the covenant of eating like Joseph’s brothers—hold the covenant of world evangelization like Joseph.

So, remain in the covenant. Then vision is seen. When vision is seen, you can dream a right dream. From then on, God’s image is planted in you. From then on, a practical work that saves the world comes out. A practical prayer to make that work. Because He promised to answer. Because we must evangelize the world. Because we must stop darkness and disaster. Because each one of you must save your nation.

Great works will begin at this WRC. Ponder it starting today. What is the exact covenant God is giving me? That’s all it takes. However outstanding he was, Abraham held the wrong covenant, so it didn’t happen. When the covenant was correctly taken hold of, the work happened.

Because they did not hold what mattered. Of course they suffered. I attended church from childhood. All I was doing was things that wouldn’t get an answer. I wasn’t thinking about what really mattered. Of course I wasn’t receiving answers. We must receive answers. Right? Why? Because He promised to answer. The reason: because we must evangelize the world. Because we must stop the disaster of darkness. Because each one of you must save your nation. “Why does this sound like such a dream?” No. Great works will begin at this WRC. When Abraham Lincoln was young, he took hold of a precise covenant. ‘Slaves must be freed. Those black people must be set free. We are the same kind of people.’ He took hold of this covenant. Not just taking hold of it in general, but taking hold of it down to a Bible verse. What was it? Galatians 3:28. Later, it was fulfilled through changing the world.

Ask yourselves this starting today. In your remaining life, God has surely left the most valuable thing for you. Let’s pray.

“Shall I not tell you what I am about to do?” “Abraham believed the word of God, and God credited it to him as righteousness.” When you receive the word and worship on Sunday, you receive three blessings.

1. Blessing of Highway

This is the time to receive the blessing of the highway when you receive the word.

Christ who has accomplished everything, the kingdom of God and his work, the fullness of the Spirit that makes 300 percent, is the start.

2. Blessing of Summit

You receive the blessing of the summit. When does the blessing of the summit occur?

Crisis – The blessing of the summit is almost completed when crisis comes. We must reference five places in Philippians.

1) Philippians 1:8-10 (RT) – Secret

Paul was in prison. This is God’s highest timetable. A Remnant must always have discernment when crisis comes. The 7 Remnants and the people in Hebrews 11 all received their important answers at times of crisis. So Paul said this: “May he make your love overflow more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, that you may know the secret.” Here Paul saw the mystery of God.

2) Philippians 1:12-14 – Plan

When Paul was imprisoned, some people fell into temptation, while others saw God’s great power. You must know which side you belong to. And you must find God’s plan. This imprisonment is a tremendous timetable.

3) Philippians 2:6-10 – Glory

Something more important comes out. “Just as Christ suffered on the cross, we too can suffer. Just as Christ was resurrected, we too can be victorious. Christ, being in very nature God, took on human form and came all the way down to a low place. If that is so, then we too can suffer. That suffering is precisely the glory of God.” This is the secret of becoming the summit.

4) Philippians 3:1-21 – Evangelization

Paul being imprisoned was a time of conquering the world, a time of evangelizing the world. “It is not that everything is accomplished. I press on to take hold of that for which Christ has taken hold of me. Being imprisoned now is not the problem. I go for the prize of the call from above. In that name that subjects all things.”

5) Philippians 4:1-13 – Happiness

Throughout Philippians 4, it says, “This time of suffering is the happiest time,” because we already have God’s conclusion. Because this is the golden path of world evangelization.

▷ Multiethnic believers, make it 300 percent without fail. You will win. The door of the world will open.

God spoke to Abraham like this. “Shall I not tell you what I am about to do?” He spoke like this. And also, “Abraham believed the word of God, and God credited it to him as righteousness.” He said this. When you receive the word, and especially when you worship on Sunday, it is a day you receive God’s blessing.

You receive three blessings. You must remember this, right? It is not just a blessing.

Now, when does this blessing of the summit occur? This is extremely important.

The blessing of the summit is when crisis comes. It comes at other times too, but it is nearly completed at this time. We must reference a few Bible verses. We must reference five places in Philippians.

1) Philippians 1:8-10 (RT) – Secret

Philippians chapter 1, verses 8 through 10. Paul is now imprisoned. When he was imprisoned, many people would have panicked, right? This is important. It is God’s highest timetable. You must remember this.

2) Philippians 1:12-14 – Plan

Looking at Philippians 1:12-14, two kinds of people emerged. You must know which side you should belong to. Because Paul was imprisoned, some people fall into temptation. But some see God’s great power. A Remnant must always have the most important discernment when crisis comes. What discernment? The fact that all 7 Remnants received all their important answers at times of crisis. It says the people in Hebrews 11 were all like this.

So Paul said this. So you must not simply endure. The secret. ‘No, trouble has come, so I must just bear through it.’ That’s right, but then you get sick. Here Paul saw the mystery of God. Understand?

3) Philippians 2:6-10 – Glory

This is now—Paul is now imprisoned. Yes. He said something very important. This is truly an important thing he said. Paul said, “Being imprisoned is world conquest. And this is a very important time of evangelizing the world. It’s not that everything is accomplished. I go to take hold of that for which Christ has taken hold of me. Being imprisoned in this land right now is not the problem. I go for the prize of the call from above. In that name that subjects all things.” Being imprisoned was world evangelization.

5) Philippians 4:1-13 – Happiness

Ordinary young people don’t realize they are being caught up in darkness more and more. They are born entangled from birth in Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11. They studied only knowledge without God. On top of that, they are caught up in wrong ideas and ideologies. That’s why this camp is light.

2. Hidden

While you keep this up, the hidden figure who will receive the answer emerges. And the 7 points also emerge.

3. Answer

That’s when you speak.

▣ Main_ The Way(a way)

The elders prepare the highway. But Remnants must find the way. And go out making 300 percent, always enjoying the 3 camps.

1. Acts 17:1-9

Culture → Rome

The way the Remnants saw was Thessalonica. Thessalonica is a place with a great culture. Here, they see the road leading to Rome.

2. Acts 18:1-4

Idol → Rome

This is Corinth. It is an enormously idol-filled famous port city. Here they see the road leading to Rome.

That’s why God let them meet such a person.

▷ Remnants, especially multiethnic believers, must find the way while they are in Korea. The most urgent problems for multiethnic believers are employment, visas, children’s education, and the future. The church does not tell them the way. There must be one minister dedicated entirely to this. This is called the 24.

Our country now delivers food. There must be a minister of delivery, a ministry of delivery. Otherwise chaos will come. The remote-work era is coming. We must prepare for it.

How do you go from Thessalonica, from this Corinth, to Rome? We must show them the way. Someone smart within the church must be found to care for children who came from other countries. Or elites come too. Professors from Busan’s Maritime University or Kyungsung University bring their children. There is nowhere to send the children. Also, people who come from difficult countries have no one to look after their children.

He cannot take away your identity, so he takes away your prayer. He cannot take away your tremendous authority, so he makes you focus on things that are not important. This is Satan’s purpose. That is why your covenant must now come out clearly. This isn’t about restricting anything. It’s about seeing something limitless. It’s seeing the whole of Christ—past, present, and future. When these eyes open, the way becomes visible. That’s why the world exists as three: the world’s kingdom, Satan’s kingdom, and God’s kingdom. You must be able to see these three.

▷ When you receive a message all day, you must find what you should hold onto, what strengthens you, what you can practically put into action, what you must absolutely do. A preacher too must find what he must deliver. For someone worshiping on Sunday, Saturday matters. Because you must hold onto what God wants.

So for Remnants, the highway is what the elders prepare. Right? But what must Remnants find? They must find the way. Why did I put “The” here? It’s fixed. Finding just any random path is “a way,” but this isn’t that. It’s not one of just any paths. It’s finding the way. That’s it. And go out making 300 percent. And always enjoy the 3 camps. Done. Nothing else to worry about. Because of pointless wrong worry, that life becomes strange. Even after succeeding, difficulty comes. Why? Because you keep worrying about pointless things. You don’t worry about what really matters. Remnants must find the way.

Same Scripture. But the eyes with which a Remnant reads it are different.

[ Culture ] → Rome

What is the way the Remnants saw, you ask? Completely from Thessalonica. Thessalonica is a place with a great culture. From here to Rome. This is the road they see. Rome is where the whole world gathers, so they must go there. To Rome.

2. Acts 18:1-4

Such an era is coming, that’s what I’m saying. Don’t wait until several hundred people have died before coming to your senses and doing something—prepare in advance. The remote-work era is coming. We must prepare.

How do we get from Thessalonica, from this Corinth, to Rome? We must show them this way. We must find someone smart within the church to look after children who came from foreign countries. Or elites come too. Right? For example, professors from the Maritime University or Kyungsung University in Busan come. They bring their children. There’s nowhere to send the children. And meanwhile, the churches, you look at them, and they’re just following some rule. Rules exist for people, not people for rules, right? So they miss the real things entirely.

This one (2) became quite commercialized, but this one (3) has become entirely a matter of culture. Corinth was thoroughly commercialized at its temple. So too much meat came into this temple, and it was sold in the market. So the question the Corinthian believers asked Paul was whether they could eat meat sacrificed to idols—not a very important question. So Paul answered simply. What’s the big deal about eating it? Do you even need to eat it? That’s how commercialized the idol had become, to the point such a question could arise. Here it’s essentially the same idol, but it has now completely become a culture. Those from each nation have their own national culture. We must think about how to evangelize that culture to the world.

▣ Conclusion_ Satan

This Satan knows you have been saved. That is why he tries to take away your worship.

The world’s kingdom, Satan’s kingdom, God’s kingdom. It’s like this. You must be able to see these three.

Today too, when you receive a message, whether it’s 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, you must find what covenant is certain for me, what I must take hold of. You must find what strengthens you. And you must find something small you can practically act on. Put differently, sometimes you must find what you must absolutely do. A preacher too, likewise. He must find what he must deliver. So while the whole week matters, for someone worshiping tomorrow, Sunday, Saturday matters. Because you must hold onto what God wants. ▣ Main_ Highway, Great Road

The church leaders and workers in Scripture built a highway that the coming generation could travel. Highway means moving quickly, and Great Road means a great road. They already carry the answer as they go.

1. Acts 17:1-9 They went to the synagogue and built a highway.

Christ Holy Meditation Ages

Here they spoke of the completeness of Christ. They explained that Jesus is the Christ who must die on the cross and be resurrected.

The answer that came out here is the holy meditation age. This highway must be opened. Thessalonica is a nation with a great road leading to Rome. Here the gospel entered. One disciple is enough. “They” is the first camp. They entered the synagogue and testified about Christ, and a noblewoman and a Greek rose up. This is the second camp. Jason, a disciple who staked his life, arose. This is the third camp. The first camp is where all church members receive grace and take hold of the mission. The second camp is seeing God’s work. Seeing that determines the future and the system—that is the third camp.

2. Acts 18:1-4

Worship Weekend Ages

They entered every Sabbath and worshiped. Here they opened the very important three-day weekend age. During the three-day weekend age, they shared the grace Paul had received and the grace Priscilla and Aquila had received in the upper room. First camp. This is when these two entered the synagogue and worshiped, revealing what worship truly is. Second camp. An amazing thing happened in Corinth.

3. Acts 19:1-21

Rome 3 Courtyards Age

We must know how to see today’s Rome. They completely saw the age of the three courtyards. First camp, they boldly explained the events at the upper room and the work of the kingdom of God. Deep spiritual movement broke out there. The sick rose up and darkness was broken. Second camp. And “we must also see Rome.” Third camp.

There is a way for the slave, the poor, and the weak nation to win. Prayer 300 percent, my work 300 percent, evangelism and missions 300 percent. Unconditional.

A true missionary has nothing to say. Disciples who took hold of the covenant have nothing to say. They simply go.

Throne This is going forward with this power.

Kingdom of God This is going forward so this may be fulfilled.

Works This is going forward so that this throne’s work and the kingdom of God’s work may be fulfilled.

If just one or two church leaders do this, the church comes alive. We must evangelize the world. We must go to those trapped in darkness and shine light on them.

“VVVIP – School”

You, church leaders and workers, are important people. Extremely important people. How important? Extremely, extremely, extremely important. What did these people do? They did many things, but the goal was one. Attacking the school. That’s why America, which drives the world, has the most universities. About 5,000 of them. In Boston alone there are 500. Harvard is there too. Why is that? Because the answer lies in the school. To keep from losing this competition, Europe is now using a strategy too. Especially countries like Germany, about to lose everyone to America, right? So they say, “We won’t charge tuition.” That is now a strategy to attract talent. This is the battle being fought. In the midst of this, this week the school council received a message.

▣ Int._ Gospel + Prayer

Many people really do not understand this. What is the gospel and prayer? That Jesus is the Christ—even demons know that.

1. Universe

Completely conquering the universe is the gospel and prayer. This was the first message this time. Mainly when? In the morning.

2. World

Conquering the world is prayer enjoying the gospel.

3. Future

Conquering the future is prayer.

Make the Remnants live this out in their daily lives. Not as a program. If it becomes a program, you cannot enjoy it. If it becomes a special activity, you cannot enjoy it. It must be lived daily. It must become a textbook. It must become a handbook. It must become a notebook.

For example, I left around 7:50, or 8 o’clock, to come here. I woke at 5 o’clock. That means there is an enormous three-hour span. Three hours. During this time I enjoy this (Universe). So I don’t need any other time. What am I doing right now? I’m doing this (World). Among these, what kind of person will emerge tomorrow—no one knows. In the end, today is the future. Not simply the future, but conquering the future.

▣ Main._ Highway, Great Road

So, what did the church leaders and workers of Scripture do, you ask? Simply put, they built a highway that the coming generation could travel. Put a bit differently, they built a very great road. Highway carries the meaning of going a bit faster. And Great Road is a great road. This is what they built. Not so much built as it forms itself. They already carry the answer as they go. This is important. If you don’t have an answer, you haven’t even started.

This time, good people composed many songs, and since I already have the answer, I write the lyrics. So I thought, ‘Ah, this time we need to make people shout many slogans to drive this home.’ And now the lyrics need to come out somewhat strong. Something with a good melody that is also strong. The melody beautiful, but the content strong. And we should keep singing “Heavenly,” “Thronely,” “Eternaly,” which we always proclaim. With this answer in mind I wrote the lyrics. And this time I thoroughly swept through history. So many good songs came out. But I selected the one that best expresses this. You have all been singing it continuously. You composed it well. Well done. So today the main figure has come for the awards ceremony.

Building the highway. The highway. Right? How did they build it?

1. Acts 17:1-9

They went like this to the synagogue and built the highway.

Here they gave a tremendously important answer. They spoke of the completeness of Christ. You must remember this. One disciple is enough. Here “they” appears. This is the first camp. They entered the synagogue there. They testified about Christ there. A noblewoman and a Greek rose up. Seeing this is called the second camp. You must always keep this in mind. Jason, a disciple like you who staked his life, arose. This is the third camp.

I find it a bit unfortunate right now that we are proceeding by centering camps around headquarters. I’m not saying the other camps are wrong. What is the first camp? All church members receiving grace, all church members taking hold of mission, all church members finding their own part. If that hasn’t happened yet, why keep pushing for evangelism? It probably won’t produce much growth. The second camp is seeing God’s work. Right? It’s not about doing—it’s about seeing. Seeing that determines the future and the system. That is the third camp. Jason. He came out. This is the role church leaders and workers must enjoy and fulfill.

2. Acts 18:1-4

Very important things come out here.

[ Worship ]

It says they entered on the Sabbath. This is now extremely important. They entered every Sabbath—what do people do on the Sabbath? They worship, right?

[ Weekend Ages ]

Here they opened the very important three-day weekend age. This must be referenced. This is the highway. Many church leaders say, “What do we even do during the three-day weekend age?” like this. During the three-day weekend age, the grace Paul received, and the grace Priscilla and Aquila received in the upper room, is shared. This is the first camp. So these two went and entered the synagogue. They completely revealed what true worship is, once they entered the synagogue. This is the second camp. What happened? An amazing thing happened in Corinth. Because of one person. It’s not that many people are needed. This built up the highway. This is how it happens.

3. Acts 19:1-[ 21 ]

Acts 19, verses 1 through 21. Very important things are packed in here. Especially at the very last verse: “we must also see Rome.”

[ Rome ]

We must be able to see today’s Rome. See the Rome that exists in your own time. What must we see?

[ 3 Courtyards Ages ]

This is what they saw. They completely saw the age of the three courtyards. Very important words appear here too. We must always see this too. What is the first camp? They boldly explained the events at the upper room and the work of the kingdom of God. This must come first. So they entered the synagogue. Once they enter, opposition arises, and disciples also arise, right? The first camp has already ended. There, deep spiritual movement breaks out. The sick rise up and darkness is broken. This is the second camp. And then it comes out: “we must also see Rome.” This is the third camp. It all comes out just like that.

If we keep failing to see this answer, evangelism itself becomes difficult. You are the ones making the church harder for yourselves. Right? You’re the ones constantly ensuring the answer isn’t received. What’s the rush? There’s no need to rush. Do this and build the highway.

▣ Con._ 300%

There is a way for the slave, the poor, the weak nation to win. Prayer 300 percent. Right? My work 300 percent. Evangelism and missions 300 percent. Unconditional victory.

Even with little education, if you prepare this, you win. Even with a good education, if you don’t prepare this, you barely find a job and just eat. Right? Even if you graduate from Harvard, employment will be somewhat easier. But even so, that’s just eating. Are we dogs? Just to eat? Are we pigs? Just to eat? No. You must do this (300 percent).

Many people say this: “I have so much I want to say. I have so many complaints.” That’s a loss. I’m sorry, but you will keep losing. A true missionary has nothing to say. Right? Why would there be so much to say? Because what we are to enjoy is something else entirely. Right? Joseph’s brothers had much to say. Joseph had nothing to say. Right? King Saul had much to say. David had nothing to say. It’s a simple matter. Those church leaders who died, who were destroyed in the wilderness of Egypt, had much to say. What is there to keep saying so much about? The disciples who took hold of the covenant there have nothing to say. They simply go.

This is going forward with this power.

[ Kingdom of God ]

This is going forward so this may be fulfilled.

This is going forward so that this throne and the kingdom of God’s work may be fulfilled.

Please do exactly this. If just one or two church leaders do this, the church comes alive. From what I’ve seen, there are none. It’s truly unfortunate. Sometimes meeting people becomes a source of worry. It shouldn’t be, but people keep saying strange things. You have to hear a lot of strange things. Can you plug your ears? They say funny things. Things that show no understanding of the spiritual. It sounds correct in worldly terms. Right? That’s from someone who doesn’t understand prayer, who doesn’t understand the gospel—they must pick up a great deal. Right? Should we live and die like that? No. We must evangelize the world. We must go shine light on those trapped in darkness. I bless you, in the name of Jesus Christ, to fully enjoy this blessing.

The Path of the Remnant Summit

▣ Introduction
Very successful Remnants, Remnants who receive answers, have a certain characteristic. They attend the middle and high school worship service alone and then attend the adult worship service as well. They even listen all the way through the work missions message.

Right now we have to do the Remnant Summit, and after it ends we also have to do the three-day weekend age. So there is something we need to understand first. Our Remnants have a lot of conflict. Because their brains are still alive, they grow through that process. Older people have already lived a lot, so they already have their answers set, and they hold on to conviction or stubbornness. When that happens, you cannot have a conversation with a Remnant.

In the midst of this, we must hold a Word Forum. And so the conclusion I have reached is that it must be the moving of the Holy Spirit. “No one can say that Jesus is the Lord except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me… to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8)

In this important time today, we must show the Remnant the way to the Summit.They themselves may not know it, but a future has clearly been prepared for them. Remnants have many advantages because they have so much time remaining on their schedule. So the Summit Committee needs to take this into account. It is normal for the kids to waver and struggle. That is how they find the way. Kids fall down and they get back up. That is how we can raise up Remnants.

There are a few questions that Remnants need to go through together with you.

1. Power
What kind of ability do I need? That is why I made the word Heavenly Power.

2. Talent
What is my talent? This talent must be one given by God from the throne. That is why I called it Thronely Talent.

3. Mission
From the exact day the God-given mission for me becomes clear, the exact answer begins.

▣ Main: What kind of path to the Summit must we show our Remnants?

1. Me – First of all, I must be brought to life. Because I already have too much, I must conquer myself.

…1. Gen. 3, 6, 11 Because we are born into Genesis 3, 6, and 11, we cannot pray. From the moment we are born, after Adam, we get caught in Genesis 3. We come under the dominion of the Nephilim. We are inside Babel tower culture.
…2. Others I keep studying things that have nothing to do with God.
…3. Wrong Even wrong things get engraved in me. What must be done about this?

1) Bartizan of Throne (Universe)
The Remnant must absolutely build the bartizan of the throne. This is essential. This is mainly built in the morning. Remnant, do not miss the morning. In the morning, completely remove my own thoughts and turn all of life into prayer. Do this slowly, breathing at ease. You must find tremendous ease in the morning. Among this, when something comes out that I especially need to make 300%, I must get up even earlier. From that point, I am waking the dawn. Morning prayer time is the time to conquer the universe.

2) Journey of Throne (World)
Everything that happens during the meetings of the daytime is a time to confirm the prayer. Because we are going on the journey of the throne, it is a time to conquer the world. That is why the seven Remnants delivered the secret of God to every person they met. At that time they conquered the world. Joseph delivered the secret to Pharaoh the king. Daniel, who went to Babylon, delivered the secret to the king. So a person who truly prays has a different way of seeing people. This is world evangelization.

3) Guidepost of Throne (Future)
At night, the Remnant must leave behind a 300% work. Seeing that, it is called the guidepost of the throne. Only this way can the future be brought to life. I must make my own strengths into 300% in order to stand against the advanced nations.

2. World
The way of the Summit is to bring the world to life. But the world has so many problems that are invisible to the eye.

Darkness – So in order to bring the world to life, we must first conquer darkness. That is why He gave us light. That is why we must be bold. Go in My name.

To what degree must we receive the blessing of overcoming the world? “What I have boasted of until now, I count as rubbish.” He said this because it blocked the gospel, and so he counted it as loss. Because we must accomplish world evangelization.

1) Christ
“The knowledge of Christ is the highest knowledge. I want to be found in Christ. I have accomplished nothing, I possess nothing. This is not success.” This is the basics. “I press on for the upward call which I go toward.”

2) Throne
“My citizenship is in heaven.” Only this way can world evangelization happen.

3) Name
He gave us the name of Christ, the name that subjects all things. We must receive this in order to accomplish world evangelization.

▷ In Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, and Papua New Guinea, if you want to bring the advanced nations to life, there is only one way. It is to receive the power of the throne answered at 300%. It is possible.

3. Future
You must conquer the future. That is the way of the Summit.

Restoration – Since everything has been taken away, it must be restored.
1) Acts 17:1, 18:4, 19:8 He went first into the synagogue and began with the evangelization of the Jews.

2) Acts 19:21, 23:11, 27:24 The goal was the evangelization of Rome.

3) Galatians 3:28 He completely overturned the culture. “In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, neither Gentile, neither white nor black, but all are one.”

▷ You must take hold of this. Do not be deceived. You must truly know what prayer is.

▷ Pray until you understand it, until it becomes your own. These are evidences answered in the Bible. Not teaching this is driving our children into difficulty forever. It is fine for a Remnant to waver, it is fine to collapse. All you need to do is get back up. That may even become a better experience. It is not wandering aimlessly — it is in the process of finding the way. The Remnant is in the hand of God.

Matthew 21:18-22

Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. ¹⁹Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

²⁰When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.

²¹Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. ²²If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Summary

Why are there so many difficulties for me and my family? God loves human beings. And so, when we are on the opposite side, in order that we would not remain on the side of destruction, God is calling us out to the right side.

▣ Introduction_The secret of God contained within disaster

1. Jesus who cursed the fruitless fig tree
Even though it was not the season for bearing fruit, He cursed it. The puzzled disciples asked Jesus the reason. Jesus said that if they know and believe the reason, they can lift up a mountain and move it into the sea, and that whatever they pray for will all be answered.

2. Through the parable of the fig tree, we must firmly grasp the secret of God contained within disaster
▷ The fig tree symbolizes Israel. That the fig tree withered means it is dead. It is ruined.
1) The secret of God contained within the Bible — Why did Israel suffer disaster at the hands of seven nations? If you know the reason, the surrounding great powers become a door; if you do not know it, they become an enemy. Not knowing the reason led to war, slavery, captivity, becoming a subjugated nation, and becoming a wandering people.
2) The secret of God contained within world history — Why did the idol-worshiping great powers rise up, and why did God send Israel and the Remnant into slavery within those great powers? Except for those who realized the secret of God contained within disaster, the great powers collapsed.
3) We must grasp the secret hidden behind the difficulty that has come to us personally.

3. To what degree must we grasp it? We must believe to the extent of lifting up a mountain and moving it into the sea
1) Joseph went as a slave and brought about world evangelization. This is greater than moving a mountain.
2) Daniel and his three friends, who held this covenant and received an answer like moving a mountain into the sea.
3) The early church, which brought about a work like moving a mountain.
4) To Martin Luther, who restored the gospel amid the repeated disaster in which merit and good works were emphasized in church history and the gospel alone was erased, a miracle like moving a mountain into the sea occurred.
5) All people are sinners who have left God, and even now are being tempted by Satan and heading toward destruction — because we take this word of Scripture lightly, we cannot overcome disaster. Each time, those who grasped the tremendous secret that arises within that disaster were the ones who moved the mountain.
▷ Those who are discouraged must not remain discouraged. Also, those who are undergoing many difficulties must not be shaken. Pastors who have gone back and forth and become discouraged and given up must not give up. God will send even a slave, will send our children into captivity if need be, in order to stop the disaster.

▣ Main

1. Through all of Israel’s past disasters, the secret has been proven up to now
▷ Though it appears that Israel suffered disaster in the past, that is not the case
1) The seven Remnant members are proof — through disaster, God is changing what had been lost through deception, causing people who had fallen under the curse to miss the gospel, back again
▷ We take the gospel lightly until we are on the verge of death, and only then do we barely come to realize the gospel. People in the midst of disaster hear the gospel and come alive at once, but for us, because we hear it all the time, it becomes a situation where we generally just hear it in passing.
2) Those who went to a scene like death and, in the midst of disaster, changed things by holding onto this secret are found in Hebrews chapter 11
3) The reason God gives us difficulty is that He is trying to turn everything that was once in disaster into the secret of God

2. Because today’s urgent situation must be resolved, there is a secret contained within the disaster that God gives
1) The scribes, chief priests, Sadducees, Pharisees, the Herodians, and the many people and prophets undergoing much hardship (seven groups) — though they were a subjugated people, they were fiercely fighting to be liberated
2) But this was a tremendous sign that God was going to destroy Israel and begin again
3) Jesus, who told us not to fear the difficulty that comes to us — this is the beginning of God’s plan (Matthew 24:1-14)
▷ Even when great difficulty and war arise, He tells us that this is only the beginning, and that the end lies elsewhere. All the difficulty, disaster, and pain that has come upon you contains the secret of God. This is the evidence of Scripture.

3. Israel will in the future be scattered among many nations and be destroyed, and this is the secret of world evangelization
▷ Those who prepare for this are the ones who can lift up a mountain and move it into the sea
1) The destruction of Jerusalem by Rome in AD 70
2) The Jewish people who were scattered into about twenty-three nations centered on Europe, and were killed and massacred
3) Through those who held this secret within that suffering, world evangelization broke out rapidly

▣ Conclusion_When you realize the gospel, every disaster becomes a road; when you fail to realize it, everything becomes a wound. Since every disaster and problem of those who hold the gospel contains the secret of God, you must never be deceived
1. For Joseph, who firmly held the dream of the covenant, slavery and prison were entirely a road
2. For David, though King Saul mobilized an army to kill him, because he knew this secret, it was a road for him
3. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, and Esther likewise — all of it was a road
4. Through Luther, who knew this secret and restored the gospel, the gospel was spread throughout the entire world
▷ Through your difficulties, God will work with an amazing power like lifting up a mountain and sending it into the sea

After our mission conference ended, prayer has begun simultaneously across the whole world. There are still those coming in from the United States and various other regions who are worshiping together with us. I hope that with today’s text, all of you will find this to be a moment when you receive the very best answer. A person who had just come to believe said this to me. They asked, “Why do so many difficult things happen to me?” And there was also someone who asked, “Why does God give our household so much hardship like this?” God loves human beings. And yet, when we are on the opposite side, God is calling us out to the right side. So that you would not remain on the side of destruction, God is calling you out. Naturally, then, it doesn’t make sense to us. Well, if that’s so, then there is a tremendous answer contained within it.

▣ Introduction_The secret of God contained within disaster

1. Jesus who cursed the fruitless fig tree

This is exactly today’s text. Jesus had now entered the city, and He saw a fig tree. At the market, the people of Israel would pick and eat that fruit. So He went to eat some fig, but there was not a single fruit on it. The leaves were thick, but there was no fruit. And so Jesus cursed the fig tree. And so that fig tree withered up. The disciples simply could not understand this at all. Today’s passage is from Matthew, but in Mark chapter 11 it says, “for the time of figs was not yet.” Doesn’t that make it even stranger? Why would Jesus go looking at a time when it wasn’t even the season for figs, and if there was none, why not simply leave it be — why curse it, and why is such a record even left for us? There is a tremendous reason. Jesus said this: “If you know this and believe, you can lift up a mountain and move it into the sea.” That is what He said. What in the world does that mean? And He also said that if you pray, you will surely receive an answer. What does this mean? If you take hold of this word today accurately, firmly, and precisely, a different life will begin.

Taking this, when we were young, there was a certain pastor who thought, “A person whose leaves are lush but who bears no fruit will be forsaken.” But that is not what this means. It’s not asking, “Is it acceptable for the fig leaves to be lush but bear no fruit?” That’s not what is being said. It was simply not the time for fruit yet.

2. Through the parable of the fig tree, we must firmly grasp the secret of God contained within disaster

Let me give you the conclusion first. The fig tree symbolizes the nation of Israel. We usually say that the cherry blossom is a symbol of Japan, don’t we? And we say that the mugunghwa symbolizes our own Republic of Korea. In the same way, the fig tree symbolizes the nation of Israel. You can somewhat sense why. As for why it is called mu-hwa-gwa — it is written as “no”, “flower”, “fruit”, meaning “fruit without flower.” It’s not that there is no flower — the flower is actually contained inside the fruit. It’s an unusual fruit that way. For a flower to exist, don’t bees and butterflies and so on have to come and something has to happen? This fruit appears to have no flower. It’s not that it has none — rather, the flower, the fruit, is contained inside. You can regard this as symbolizing Israel.

Now, what does it mean that the fig tree withered? Isn’t that the same as being dead? Isn’t that the same as being ruined? Today, all of you need to firmly grasp one single word and move forward from here. This is why I titled today’s message “The Parable of the Fig Tree.” The fig tree withering is an event, but it is a parable pointing to something far beyond itself. It is a parable of a very important secret of God. That is why I titled it “The Parable of the Fig Tree” rather than “The Incident of the Fig Tree.”

What is the word all of you must firmly grasp? It is the secret of God contained within disaster. If you do not know how to grasp this, then there is no answer to the question that the new family member asked earlier. There was a Remnant who had undergone surgery for a very serious illness, and who asked me, “Why do things like this happen to me?” In the same way, the disciples asked in bewilderment, “Why has the fig tree withered?” And Jesus said, “If you truly believe this word, this fact, this secret, and know it, you can lift up a mountain and move it into the sea.” That is hard to understand.

If you know the reason, the surrounding great powers become a door; if you do not know it, they become an enemy. Not knowing the reason led to war, slavery, captivity, becoming a subjugated nation, and becoming a wandering people

Now, in order for all of you to receive a true answer, you truly need to look at Scripture as it actually is. Before we go into the main body, before I explain the reason, we need to review the whole of Scripture a little first. Now you will begin to notice it. It doesn’t quite make sense, does it? Why did the nation of Israel continually suffer disaster at the hands of seven nations? Does the answer come to you? It should come out. It should already be coming out right here. All around Israel, there were nothing but great powers packed together. If you know the reason, it is a door. If you do not know this secret, they become enemies. And so, war, slavery, captivity, subjugation, wandering — disaster came seven times. It doesn’t make sense, does it? What kind of book is the Bible? Simply put, it is a book about the nation of Israel being destroyed. Out of that, the secret emerged — that is what I’m saying. That is what this book is. So now you need to firmly, tightly hold on to this.

2) The secret of God contained within world history — Why did the idol-worshiping great powers rise up, and why did God send Israel and the Remnant into slavery within those great powers? Except for those who realized the secret of God contained within disaster, the great powers collapsed

In world history, there is much that doesn’t make sense, isn’t there? The answer is obvious and right there, and yet we fail to understand it. Why did great powers who worshiped idols like that rise up so powerfully? This is world history.

Why were the people of Israel, the Remnant, sent into slavery within great powers? Except for those who realized it, didn’t all the great powers eventually collapse? That’s right, isn’t it? The secret of God contained within disaster. Put more simply, this is the secret contained within the parable of the withered fig tree.

3) We must grasp the secret hidden behind the difficulty that has come to us personally

You think great difficulty has come upon you, but there is a secret hidden behind it.

3. To what degree must we grasp it? We must believe to the extent of lifting up a mountain and moving it into the sea

We can say, “Now I’ve become sick — why is it only me?” But there is a secret contained within that. This is not something you simply grasp lightly — you must believe to the extent of lifting up a mountain and moving it into the sea. Have you lifted up a mountain and moved it into the sea?

1) Joseph went as a slave and brought about world evangelization. This is greater than moving a mountain

Joseph went and brought about world evangelization, didn’t he? He went as a slave. This is a greater thing than moving a mountain.

2) Daniel and his three friends, who held this covenant and received an answer like moving a mountain into the sea

Daniel and his friends, who held this covenant, went and moved a mountain, didn’t they — into the sea.

3) The early church, which brought about a work like moving a mountain

The early church moved it, didn’t it? It was under subjugation — to Rome. These are the secrets.

4) To Martin Luther, who restored the gospel amid the repeated disaster in which merit and good works were emphasized in church history and the gospel alone was erased, a miracle like moving a mountain into the sea occurred

If you understand these words, you’ll see the secrets that occurred throughout church history. It has happened over and over again.

Merit. Achievement. Good works. While talking so much about these, the gospel was erased. That was the medieval church. Those of you who are Catholic — priests, nuns — may be able to listen to my sermon on this. In one word, what was it? It was the belief that you could be saved by merit. You don’t know this, but they know it. And knowing it, they still believe it. It sounds like such a wonderful teaching, doesn’t it? But can one really be saved by merit? And so the gospel disappeared. It was at that time that Martin Luther said, “Absolutely not. We are saved by the gospel alone.” This Martin Luther moved a mountain into the sea. Isn’t that so? That is how God works. You must believe this.

5) All people are sinners who have left God, and even now are being tempted by Satan and heading toward destruction — because we take this word of Scripture lightly, we cannot overcome disaster. Each time, those who grasped the tremendous secret that arises within that disaster were the ones who moved the mountain

This is a very important event of Jesus today, and it is a parable. Everything is important, but this is an especially important part. It is contained within Jesus’ final acts. How important is that? Among the works Jesus carried out while He was still on this earth at the very end, this is one of the important ones. All of you find it hard to understand Scripture, don’t you? “Because all people have left God, they are sinners.” How does the ordinary person understand that? “Even now, humanity, under Satan’s temptation, is heading toward destruction.” This is what Scripture is telling us. “Because we cannot overcome Satan, sin, and the curse, God promised us Christ.” This is what Scripture says. Because we take this lightly, we cannot overcome disaster. Each and every time, those who grasped the tremendous secret that arises within that disaster were the ones who moved the mountain — that is what I’m saying.

Those who are discouraged, do not remain discouraged. And those undergoing many difficulties, do not be shaken. Take hold of the covenant today. Pastors who have gone back and forth, become discouraged, and given up — do not give up. There are many such people. And so those of us who report many things about evangelism, when people say, “A great work has happened!” — I myself don’t find that particularly joyful. Why? Because that too will waver. The very fact that you say “Ah!” upon hearing it means you have already wavered. Isn’t that so? Isn’t that only natural? We ought to feel sorry. This isn’t something that should just happen boastfully — we ought to feel sorry about it. It’s a matter of, “How little did we come, how little did we know, that it had to come to this.” I’ve told you this before. There was an elder’s couple who used to commit theft, and things got so hard for them that a fortune-teller told them, “Go to church.” What does that mean? It’s because we haven’t been doing our part. We are the ones who ought to be speaking, but a fortune-teller ends up speaking instead, because we haven’t been doing it. Even by sending a slave, we must stop the disaster. We need to know that secret. Even by sending our children into captivity, we must stop this disaster. God views all nations as one nation. Isn’t that so? But human beings view it differently. That is why difficulty comes. Today you must look carefully at the covenant.

▣ Main

1. Through all of Israel’s past disasters, the secret has been proven up to now

Since there isn’t much time, let me summarize briefly — this is the first point.

This fig tree is a parable of Israel, and it is explaining that through all of the nation of Israel’s past disasters, the secret has been proven up to now. Simply put: “Doesn’t it seem like Israel also suffered disaster in the past?” But that is not the case. “Did not Israel also die, just as the fig tree withered and died? If you know this word, you will move a mountain.”

1) The seven Remnant members are proof — through disaster, God is changing what had been lost through deception, causing people who had fallen under the curse to miss the gospel, back again

The seven Remnant members — isn’t that proof? If you truly hold this covenant, then your being in the midst of disaster is no other secret than this. It is changing what had been lost through deception and had fallen under the curse. For those who have achieved a bit of success, the gospel might seem light to them. Isn’t it true that only when we are on the verge of death do we finally grasp hold of God and barely come to realize the gospel? People in the midst of disaster hear the gospel and immediately come alive, but for us, since we hear it so constantly, doesn’t it become a situation where we generally just hear it in passing?

I actually went and visited the place where the Maasai people of Africa live. Oh my, I had only heard about it, but everything was completely dried up. There was no water. So how do these people get water to drink? There is no water. They wander around searching for something, and if they find anything, they drink it. A third of the world’s population lives like this. I was shocked. Because of this, people cannot live past 40. They simply die. Naturally, they have no shoes. I saw the feet of the little children — their wounds were cracked and split open, with foreign matter simply stuck inside, left as it was.

And so I saw a professor at Seoul National University, Han Moo-young, and I was shocked to hear that he collects rainwater for drinking water. I told our church, don’t try to spread out into many different places — just make one at the entrance of our church. When someone asks, “What is this?” write on it: “Drinking water supplied to those dying in the one-third of the world.” We don’t know, because we just drink water freely without a thought. There ought to be people like this here and there — across nearly all of Africa, and also in other countries, unusual regions, remote places, islands that I cannot even name.

As you know, those who went to a scene nearly like death and, in the midst of disaster, changed things by holding onto this secret — that is Hebrews chapter 11. There’s no need to overcomplicate it.

3) The reason God gives us difficulty is that He is trying to turn everything that was once in disaster into the secret of God

The reason God gives you difficulty is that He is trying to change all the culture that was once caught up in disaster, so that you may enjoy blessing through the secret of God.

2. Because today’s urgent situation must be resolved, there is a secret contained within the disaster that God gives

This is the second point. Because today’s urgent situation must be resolved, there is a secret contained within the disaster that God gives — this is the second point.

1) The scribes, chief priests, Sadducees, Pharisees, the Herodians, and the many people and prophets undergoing much hardship (seven groups) — though they were a subjugated people, they were fiercely fighting to be liberated

The Jewish people — among them, the scribes. Such people existed in the Jewish nation. The chief priests, the Sadducees, the Pharisees, and along with them the Herodians, and the many suffering people and prophets. You don’t need to memorize this. I’ve mentioned seven groups. Though they were a subjugated people, these people were fighting fiercely.

2) But this was a tremendous sign that God was going to destroy Israel and begin again

God was going to destroy Israel and begin again. That was the sign. It was a tremendous sign.

3) Jesus, who told us not to fear the difficulty that comes to us — this is the beginning of God’s plan (Matthew 24:1-14)

“Do not fear the difficulty that comes to you.” Before that, Jesus had said, “No matter how great the difficulty that comes, do not be afraid. This is My beginning. The end will come after the gospel has been testified to all nations.” Jesus said this ahead of time. That means, even if war, earthquakes, and all sorts of things happen, don’t worry. It is only the beginning. The end lies elsewhere — that is what He is saying. You must hold on to this firmly. All the difficulty, disaster, and pain that has come upon you contains the secret of God. This is the evidence of Scripture.

3. Israel will in the future be scattered among many nations and be destroyed, and this is the secret of world evangelization

What’s even more important is the third point. What is the third point? The fig tree withered away.

Israel will in the future be scattered into more than twenty nations. That is ruin, but it is the secret of world evangelization. If so, what must we prepare? Those who prepare for this move mountains. It means you can move a mountain into the middle of the sea. That is a tremendous message.

1) The destruction of Jerusalem by Rome in AD 70

You already know the history, don’t you? Even now, only Israel doesn’t know it. They truly don’t understand. Historians don’t understand it. Scripture has already revealed it. Politicians don’t understand it — why it turned out that way. In AD 70, as you know, the city of Jerusalem was destroyed by Rome.

2) The Jewish people who were scattered into about twenty-three nations centered on Europe, and were killed and massacred

They were scattered, especially into about twenty-three nations centered on Europe. The killing and massacre they suffered are beyond words. There was even a case where a German soldier, sitting in a room, shot and killed a Jewish person just for target practice. That is how it was — checking to see how well the gun performed by shooting a Jewish person dead. That is how miserably it happened.

3) Through those who held this secret within that suffering, world evangelization broke out rapidly

But unbeknownst to anyone, there were people within that suffering who held this secret. And so world evangelization broke out rapidly.

Today, all of you must firmly grasp this covenant. Every disaster is a road. That is not to say it’s a good thing. When we were children, the Korean War broke out, and the whole village was turned to ruins, the whole village became beggars. For our nation, Korea, that was a road. That was a lesson for me. I saw it as a child. Children born today don’t know this, because they live so well now. Back then, you couldn’t even speak of certain things. We couldn’t afford to buy gum, so we would get it from American soldiers and chew it. That’s how it was. So then, when it came time to sleep, you’d have to spit out the gum, right? And the next day, you’d unwrap it again and chew it again. That’s how we lived. Because of this, I understand that when God gives Israel disaster like the withered fig tree, it is not simply a disaster — there is a tremendous secret in it, I’m saying.

Today all of you must go forward holding the secret of moving mountains. Do not be deceived. You must go forward holding a faith that moves mountains. What does it mean to move a mountain? It is absolutely impossible, isn’t it? And yet He is saying He will move it. Who? God is the one who does it. You must hold on to this.

In a way it may seem like misfortune, but in the midst of it — even though we worked diligently at business, our whole village was struck by fire. If only, back then, we had had banks like we do now, we could have communicated this way, but even though there were banks at that time, my father had wrapped up money in a bundle to use the next day, and put it in the wardrobe. But then the fire happened. That person simply became strange because of it. And from that point, he fell ill and passed away. All of these things were, for me, a road. And so, whatever it is — hardship, poverty, difficulty, illness — I understand it all. I saw this myself. Once I realized the gospel, that became a road. Before I realized the gospel, it was simply a wound.

1. For Joseph, who firmly held the dream of the covenant, slavery and prison were entirely a road

You must take hold of this covenant today and begin. For those who hold the gospel, every disaster and problem contains the secret of God. Never be deceived. Joseph, who firmly held the dream of the covenant — his brothers sold him and probably said, “You’re finished now.” But for Joseph, it was a road. Potiphar’s wife threw Joseph into prison and said, “You’re finished.” But for Joseph, it was a road. You must hold on to this firmly.

2. For David, though King Saul mobilized an army to kill him, because he knew this secret, it was a road for him

King Saul brought several thousand soldiers to kill David. Common sense would say David would surely die. But for David, who knew this secret, it was a road. Isn’t that so?

3. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, and Esther likewise — all of it was a road

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, and Esther — it was exactly the same for them.

4. Through Luther, who knew this secret and restored the gospel, the gospel was spread throughout the entire world

Martin Luther, knowing this secret, restored the gospel. He said, “We are saved by the gospel alone. Good works are something you naturally do — they are not a condition of salvation. You do good deeds, give relief, and serve others — but you do this naturally; it is not a condition of salvation.” At that time, it wasn’t a democracy — that church issued a death sentence against Martin Luther. And while he was being moved, someone kidnapped Luther. There’s no need to say who did it. Why? Because a tremendous secret is contained in that. Our team went to the courtroom where Martin Luther stood trial — that courtroom was actually the church. We went to see the church where the trial was held. I said, “Luther probably stood right about here.” And so this church authority said, “Luther, you are finished now. It’s over for you.” That’s what they said. But through this Luther, the gospel was spread throughout the entire world.

Do not simply hold on to this loosely — hold on to it firmly. Through your difficulties, He will work with an amazing power like lifting up a mountain and sending it into the sea. This is true. Let us pray.

Prayer. We thank You, God. Let us discover the secret contained within disaster. Let us firmly hold the covenant and move the mountain. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
